Key & Peele's hilarious Game of Thrones video is one huge spoiler

The two frontmen brought some serious humor to all of Game of Thrones' iconic scenes with their recent spoof, donning their "Liam Neesons"-loving valet characters for a dead recap throw down.

More: Game of Thrones releases cryptic Season 5 teaser (VIDEO)

WARNING: Do not continue reading if you aren't caught up with Game of Thrones. We discuss some of the most spoilery and memorable moments from the show below.

Ned Stark was honored with slit and plop sound effects for his epic and unexpected beheading at the end of Season 1.

The dragons got a screech-filled impersonation after Key and Peele did a Khaleesi strut back and forth — somehow managing to not follow along the red carpet, though, if I may point that out.

Things get high-speed from there with a list of KILT characters. Rob? KILT. Rob's wife? KILT. Rob's mom? KILT. Wildling's girl? KILT. The Hound? KILT. (And let me just add that Peele's Arya impression is spot on.)

More: 7 Game of Thrones theories that will blow your mind

All in all, the spoof is amazing and definitely worth the three-minute watch.

It ends with the comedians getting an epic death scene of their own. The floor opens up to reveal a moon door, and Key and Peele promptly plummet thousands of feet to, presumably, their deaths.

Of course, the funny guys did forget about one crucial moment from the show before they axed themselves: the Purple Wedding and Joffrey's horrific demise from poisoning.

More: 8 Things we want to see in a Game of Thrones movie

Otherwise, Key and Peele were spot on with their jokes, referring to Tywin Lannister as "Taiwan Lannisters" and Khal Drogo as "Big Dave Navarro."

10 Things your child-free friends want you to know

$

First, it helps to know that there is a distinction between child-less and child-free. A child-less couple may plan for kids in the future or struggle to conceive. According to the child-free sub-Reddit, "'Childfree' refers to those who do not have, and do not ever want, children (whether biological or adopted)."

The child-free sub-Reddit is one that every parent should read. Even if you already have kids, a child-free point of view can provide an outside perspective on parenting and keep you sensitive to your single friends.

Here are the top 10 takeaways from the child-free community.

1. Adult time is for adults

Seinfeld

Image: Giphy

Harsh but true. One child-free Redditor explains why most people don't appreciate parents bringing their kids out at 10 p.m.: "Went to a very obviously adult event at a bowling alley, crappy family comes in with sick kids, kids are obnoxious, mom tries to force feed her baby birds chicken soup… Ended up leaving and forfeiting the rest of our games we had paid for just because that family was so out of control."

2. Child-free is a conscious choice

Sex and the City

Image: Giphy

Some smart, self-aware adults know from a young age that they never want kids: "As a little girl, I never played with baby dolls or played 'Mommy.' I always played with stuffed animals instead. When I was about 10, I told my parents that I never wanted kids, just dogs and horses. They laughed and told me, 'That will change!' Eleven years later, and nothing has changed."

3. Child-free people are still human

Girls

Image: Giphy

Child-free people have feelings and reproductive organs too. One Reddit thread reveals that infertility is still a struggle, even for the child-free: "I likely wouldn't have been able to have children without medical intervention, and I've never wanted them anyway. Still, the discovery of my infertility was something I had to come to terms with. My initial reaction was elation, but there was a time when I went through a mourning phase of sorts. I felt miffed that my body formed in such a way that it denied me the choice."

4. Fear of pregnancy is a real thing

Nope

Image: Giphy

Some women choose to never have kids because the thought of being pregnant is unbearable: "I have a horrible fear of getting pregnant. It's getting so bad that I don't even feel secure while having sex with my boyfriend."

5. Grandparent guilt never gets easier

Stop

Image: Giphy

Every couple has been down this road before, but for the child-free, the "give me grandchildren" guilt is constant: "I have some in laws who think that having children is the best thing ever and don't understand why we'd be [child-free]. They have a daughter who is currently pregnant and plans on giving them plenty of grandkids. My husband has told his mother and father that we plan on being [child-free] and to please to not ask us about it. They usually don't ask when we're together, but alone his mother always tries to change my mind."

6. Mommy-jacking is never a good look

Mommy-jacking 1

'Mommy-jacking 2

Image: Reddit

If you want to maintain your dignity on Facebook, pair up with a child-free friend who will give it to you straight. Mommy-jacking anyone's Facebook status, especially a child-free friend who is not in your parenting bubble, is just plain rude.

7. No one should ever have kids before they're ready

Mob wives

Image: Giphy

If it's one thing the child-free have, it's self-awareness. Some people recognize that they may never be able to care for a child, and that is brutal honesty we can all respect. Here's a perfect example: "It's not just about having zero parental instinct. It's about finding nothing cute. The stress of any sort of burden is enough to give me chest pains. Human beings are nothing more than [an] inconvenience to me. Even having pets... Or even plants, would be too much. I don't want other things to have to rely on me. I don't want other people out there suffering because of my negligence."

8. Sometimes it's hard to stand alone in a crowd

Beyoncé

Image: Giphy

It's never easy to make such a bold and potentially unpopular life choice — like choosing not to have kids. One child-free Redditor explains beautifully: "It's extremely challenging to be different. It requires that one be able to take verbal confrontations or abuse (sometimes physical abuse even). It's not limited to being child-free: renouncing religion, identifying as LGBT, choosing an education/career path, being goth/metal/punk. All of these things can result in shaming, ridicule, and ostracizing (occasionally injury or death even) by family, peers, or the entire community."

9. Well-meaning comments can be insensitive

Rude

Image: Giphy

This child-free Redditor's story shows how important it is to tread lightly and consider that not everyone may want the same life you do. After a bar regular joked with the OP about an accidental pregnancy, she was brave enough to say something: "'I know you're just joking and don't mean to be rude, but I don't think you understand how horribly offensive that is to say to me. It's literally my worst nightmare.' Kelly's eyes got super wide, and she started profusely apologizing. Apparently, she didn't even consider the fact that her saying that could actually really hurt."

10. Work/life balance is hard for everyone

Mommy-jacking 3

Image: Reddit

For every parent who tries to juggle and make ends meet, just know that your child-free co-workers are right there with you. One Redditor describes infuriating preferential treatment toward parents in her workplace: "I have done freelance video editing work for the last 10 years. This year, I noticed a decline in jobs from one of my best clients and asked the video-person-in-charge about it. It seems that one of the other employees (who does freelance camerawork for them and already has work) has been given some of my edits. The reasoning? 'He has a child to care for and needs more money.' I need that money just as much as he does — I have a mortgage, a husband, and a business to run, my needs are just as valid as his."

Investigation concludes in Harvey Weinstein groping case

More: David O. Russell loses his temper, spews profanity at Jennifer Lawrence

Two weeks after a model accused the famous producer of groping her breasts and putting his hand up her skirt, police say no charges will be filed following a thorough investigation of the claims.

"This case was taken seriously from the outset, with a thorough investigation conducted by our Sex Crimes Unit," Manhattan District Attorney's Office spokeswoman Joan Vollero told E! News in a statement. "After analyzing the available evidence, including multiple interviews with both parties, a criminal charge is not supported."

Weinstein was questioned by police over the weekend of March 28, though E! says his questioning was voluntary — he was never arrested or detained by police. The questioning came after the 22-year-old woman, whom Weinstein reportedly met on the red carpet at the opening of his "New York Spring Spectacular," told a friend the production mogul had assaulted her in his office in the Tribeca Film Center in New York City. She then took her complaints to a local police precinct.

Weinstein's rep said during the investigation that the famous producer of Shakespeare in Love, Pulp Fiction and Project Runway was "cooperating fully with authorities" and that he was confident Weinstein would be "fully vindicated."

Weinstein was the CEO of Miramax before he and his brother cofounded The Weinstein Co. in 2005. Together, they've produced TV hits and blockbuster movies.

Weinstein has been married to his current wife, Georgina Chapman, for seven years. He and Chapman, cofounder of Marchesa, have two children, and Weinstein has three other children from his previous marriage.

Of course, the Internet freaked out because we seem to like to blow everything out of proportion, but Twitter, shockingly, was more concerned with correcting Smith's grammar in his tweet confirming his outfit choice than with criticizing him for his wardrobe decision.

Smith said "your" instead of "you're" and used "to hard" instead of "too hard." He also seems to have a thing for capitalizing every word in a sentence. But, hey, Twitter is all about shorthand and weird flair, right?

Honestly, though, the social media world's reaction should have been the same even if Smith had been wearing a pink princess dress complete with sequins and butterflies. It's his body and his life, and he can wear whatever he wants. As long as it doesn't hurt another person, individual styles should be celebrated, no matter what they are.

Personally, I love dresses. They're comfy, easy and breezy. I feel bad that guys don't get to indulge in this summer comfort too. But Smith might be starting a new trend for Summer 2015. If you can pull off a dress as seamlessly as Smith, guys, have at it.

Do you think Smith's manly dress trend could catch on this summer?

The actress is taking part in a challenge set forth by celebrity chef Mario Batali: She's going to try to live on a food stamp budget for a week, meaning seven days' worth of food can't cost more than $29, or $1.38 per meal.

Paltrow announced her intent to participate on Twitter, first with a photo of her groceries, captioned, "This is what $29 gets you at the grocery store — what families on SNAP (i.e. food stamps) have to live on for a week," followed by another tweet saying, "We're walking in their shoes to see how far we get."

Good for Paltrow for taking part in such an important national debate, but we have to know: Why did she buy so many limes? There are seven in the picture. What's she going to do with seven limes in a week?

More: Gwyneth Paltrow steams her vagina, but here's why you def shouldn't

Regardless of how Paltrow chooses to handle her citrus overload, the #FoodBankNYCChallenge is working to raise awareness for 1.7 million New Yorkers who live on food stamps, and big names like Paltrow's will only help advance the cause.

"Congress cut food stamps twice since 2013, and soup kitchens and food pantries saw an immediate increase in visitors," the organization says on its website. "New Yorkers can’t afford any cuts to Food Stamps. The #FoodBankNYCChallenge raises hunger awareness and deepens your understanding about the struggle to afford food on a food stamp budget."

Other celebrities have undergone challenges similar to this one before, and while it's a noble goal, we're not sure Paltrow is up for the task — she does, after all insist that her lifestyle company, Goop, isn't "high end," despite having items that cost tens of thousands of dollars. Here's hoping she keeps us updated on her progress (and her favorite lime-based recipes) so we can follow along.

Tyra Banks' ideas about retouching photos are bad for women

More: 6 Women who are feminists and are paid to be nearly naked

The talk show host and former model told People that she knows most of her photos get a little professional help, but she doesn't mind a bit — in fact, she encourages it.

"Honey, I've got a lot of cellulite on my booty and that's nobody's business," she said. "So if you see me in a swimsuit and you see the side of my butt and there's no dimples in it, I or somebody else have retouched it all."

Banks did say that women expecting celebrities to look perfect in photos is the result of us all being "sadly conditioned." But she also thinks women everywhere can use the technology to empower themselves — she calls it the "democratization of retouching."

"I love that at the touch of the button anybody could do it on their smart phone," Banks continued. "Girls may be like, 'I'm so insecure. Tyra's butt looks like that.' Well, Tyra’s butt does not look like that. And yours can look just like that. Just take a five-second tutorial online and you can do it yourself."

More: Catfight no more: Janice Dickinson and Tyra Banks end feud

And then it gets weird, because Banks goes on to explain that she doesn't believe in one concept of perfect beauty.

"There are so many different types of people and I think they all need to be represented," she explained. "I don't want different body types or heights or weights or shapes to be considered 'special.' I just want it to be normal, and the fact that it is starting to feel that way is so good."

But by encouraging women to photoshop their own bodies, isn't Banks perpetuating the idea that there's one standard of ideal beauty by telling all women they should use technology to fit that standard? We're getting seriously mixed messages here.

This man lost 70 pounds to save his wife's life

Tracy had been diagnosed with Lupus when she was just 6 years old. In 2013, her health had begun to deteriorate to the point where she needed to be placed on a kidney transplant list. This was a difficult blow for her since her sister had died a few months before due to complications during a kidney transplant. There also was no guarantee she'd live long enough to get a new kidney, because the list had a seven-year wait. That's when her husband stepped up.

However, P.J. Spraggins weighed 265 pounds when he was tested to be a transplant match for his wife, which made him an unfit candidate to donate a kidney. The doctors told him he should lose at least 30 pounds before they would consider going forward with the transplant. P.J. did just that, but upon getting retested, he found out losing weight was only half the battle.

On the day he came back to the doctor's office, he had just changed a tire, and as a result his blood pressure was unusually high. He told Daily Mail UK, "My blood pressure was all over the place. The results came back and they said no again." While the results were discouraging, he did not give up. He decided to undertake a year-long, intense fitness regime to get his health back on track.

In December 2014, after having lost a whopping 70 pounds, he went to Nashville's Vanderbilt Hospital to get retested. Lo and behold, the tests showed his blood pressure was now in a healthy range, and he could officially be his wife's kidney donor. On February 24 of this year, they went into a four-hour-long surgery together and came out smiling.

The operation was a success, and now both of Tracy's kidneys are functioning beautifully, thanks to her wonderful husband. "It has just been amazing. To know that I did everything I could to give my wife a better quality of life is just the best feeling. I am so happy," P.J. told Fox News. If you'll excuse me, I must go take a quick, happy cry break.

Their friends helped set up a YouCaring fund page for the couple to help them make ends meet during their two-month recovery period when neither can work. So far, they've reached 80 percent of their goal, and there are still 21 days to donate.

While the recovery process is long, P.J. and Tracy are so happy to be healthy again. P.J. is getting back to producing music, and his wife is finally free from kidney distress for the first time in 33 years.

Healthy berry protein muffins help kick-start your day

If you're like me and don't care for protein shakes, then these healthy, fruity muffins are a perfect alternative. Rather than drink a powdery, chalky drink, I use the powder in these tasty muffins that are perfect for the whole family as a quick breakfast, in a lunchbox or even as a snack.

In this version I used a plant-based vanilla protein powder and a combination of blackberries, blueberries and strawberries. (If possible, use organic berries, and make sure you wash and dry them before using.) The great thing about these muffins is that you can use any berry or combination of berries you want in this recipe without altering the flavor.

Fresh berry vanilla protein muffins recipe

Fresh berries are folded into a healthy muffin batter along with vanilla protein powder, egg whites and spices, and then baked up golden brown. Keep these sealed in an airtight container for up to 3 days for a handy, healthy snack.

Yields 10-12

Prep time: 15 minutes | Bake time: 20 minutes | Inactive time: 15 minutes | Total time: 50 minutes

Ingredients:

Dry ingredients

  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1/2 cup oat flour
  • 4 scoops vanilla protein powder
  • 1/2 cup whole-wheat flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Wet ingredients

  • 1 whole banana, mashed
  • 3 egg whites
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/4 cup vanilla almond milk
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1-1/2 cups fresh mixed berries of choice (blackberries, strawberries, blueberries or raspberries)

Directions:

  1. Heat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line a muffin tin with muffin liners, and set aside.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine all the dry ingredients, and mix well.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine all the wet ingredients except for the berries, and mix until smooth.
  4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, and mix until the batter is smooth and there are no lumps.
  5. Fold the berries into the batter, and using a spoon or a small cookie scoop, fill each cup in the muffin tin 3/4 of the way full with the batter.
  6. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes or until the tops of the muffins are a nice, golden brown color.
  7. Remove from the oven, and allow to cool 15 minutes before serving.
  8. Store the muffins in an airtight container for up to 3 days.

Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake welcome a boy: See his unique baby name

Biel and Timberlake are said to be “ecstatic” over the arrival of their first child. The private couple aren’t revealing many details of their baby boy, but they did reveal their unique baby name choice.

Silas Randall Timberlake

Silas is a name of biblical origin and means “third,” which makes sense because he is the third member of their family. In the Bible, Silas was a missionary companion of Paul and Timothy. The name Silas has quietly been moving up the Social Security Administration’s list of popular baby names. It was ranked No. 602 back in 2000, and today it is ranked as the 116th most popular name for boys (Noah is the most popular boy’s name).

The baby's middle name of Randall has a family connection: JT’s father’s name is Randall.

Biel and Timberlake kept the pregnancy under wraps until the singer finally confirmed the news on his 34th birthday. He posted this cute photo of himself kissing 33-year-old Biel’s baby bump.

Justin Timberlake baby

According to Timberlake's caption, he and Biel apparently didn’t find out the sex of their baby until he made his arrival early Saturday morning.

Biel kept active throughout her pregnancy; however, she did not make any red carpet appearances and didn't post about her pregnancy on any of her social media pages. So, when can we expect to see a photo of baby Silas? Hopefully, soon. However, the couple, who married in 2012 after dating for five years, often like to keep their personal life private. They may not be posting a baby picture for quite a while... but we can always hope!

Cheesy turkey-stuffed Mexican mushrooms are pleasing for all

$

Are you intimidated by using mushrooms in your recipes? I think sometimes mushrooms, especially portobellos, get overlooked when shopping because of their odd, sponge-like looks. Forget the looks, and let's put their flavor first. Not only are they a wonderful substitute for when vegans and vegetarians are looking for a "meatier" ingredient in recipes, but they are also perfect for meat eaters and serve as tasty, edible bowls in these Mexican turkey-stuffed portobellos.

I sautéed extra-lean ground turkey with taco seasoning, diced tomatoes, onions, cilantro and shredded Monterey Jack cheese, then stuffed the mixture into huge mushroom caps. Once baked, these make a hearty dinner when you are looking to keep things super healthy, low-carb or gluten-free.

Cheesy turkey-stuffed Mexican portobellos recipe

Hearty portobellos are stuffed with a Mexican-inspired lean ground turkey filling, cheese and diced tomatoes, then baked for a tasty, healthy dinner.

  • 1 pound extra-lean ground turkey
  • 1 envelope taco seasoning

  • 1/4 cup salsa (any type or flavor works in this dish)
  • 1 cup grated Monterey Jack cheese
  • 6 portobello mushroom caps, cleaned
  • Extra diced tomatoes, red onion and cilantro, for garnish (optional)

Directions:

  1. Heat your oven to 375 degrees F, and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

I'm a busy mom and wife, and sometimes I need food that is not only fast but super easy too. I used some organic chicken breast I had on hand and added it to my slow cooker with fresh chopped vegetables and a tasty ginger-soy sauce to cook it in. It's as simple as that.

You can serve this dish over cooked white or brown rice or even quinoa, if desired. Garnish your plate with roasted cashews, thin-sliced green onions and fresh Thai basil. This makes great leftovers and is so much healthier than takeout, since you can control the ingredients.

Slow cooker ginger-cashew chicken recipe

Diced chicken and fresh vegetables are slow-cooked in a sweet and savory ginger-soy sauce and served over cooked rice with roasted cashews.

Serves 6

Ingredients:

For the chicken

  • 3 large organic chicken breasts, diced
  • 2 red bell peppers, chopped
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 1/4 cup diced carrots

For the sauce

  • 3/4 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup raw honey
  • 1 tablespoon fresh grated ginger
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

For serving

  • Fresh steamed white or brown rice
  • Roasted cashews
  • Fresh Thai basil, thinly sliced
  • Fresh cilantro

Directions:

  1. Into the bowl of the slow cooker, place the diced chicken and vegetables.
  2. In a bowl, combine all the ingredients for the sauce, and mix well.
  3. Pour the sauce over the chicken and vegetables, and place the lid on the cooker. Set the timer to cook on low for 6 hours.

Saturday Night Live: Taraji P. Henson sings about what could've been

$

As a matter of fact, we even found out that only 2 percent of SNL hosts had ever been black women in the show's entire 40-year span. We were dying to know if SNL or the Empire star would address that. It turns out she did... but not in the way we expected.

More: Henson's hosting gig shines light on a severe lack of diversity

After a strong opening sketch about Hilary Clinton filming her video to announce her plans to run for president, Henson took to the stage with all the sass and confidence you'd expect from her Empire character, Cookie. Almost immediately, Henson boldly announced that after 20 years in the business, being nabbed for Saturday Night Live confirmed for her that she had finally made it: "White people finally know who I am."

More: The best ever, super-epic all-female Weekend Update desk

From there, Henson launched into a song, aptly titled "I Made It," in which she celebrated having finally become a household name. With the help of a choir, Henson sang of all the things she could have been doing, like working a pole, being a music video ho or handing out samples at the grocery store. Members of the cast even hopped in with notes of what they'd be doing if they hadn't "made it" on SNL. It was Henson's list of would-be careers, though, that truly highlighted what kind of value "the business" puts on black women. We love that she did it with wit and sarcasm. It fit the show's vibe perfectly but, inevitably, sent her to rise above whatever SNL powers-that-be that keep trying to stifle the show's diversity.

Taraji P Henson hosts SNL

Taraji P Henson hosts SNL

Furthermore, it reminded us just what a powerful singer Henson truly is. On a night marked also with the debut of Mumford and Sons' "new" sound (if you'd hit a concert in the past, you'd know they've rocked electric instruments for years) and two songs from their decidedly louder upcoming album, Henson even managed to steal the music portion of the show. Mumford et al. brought down the house. Don't get us wrong. But it's hard to compete with the talent behind Cookie.

  3. To make the buttercream frosting, beat together the shortening and the butter until well mixed. Add the vanilla. Add the sugar 1 cup at a time until combined. Add the milk as needed until the buttercream frosting is light and fluffy.
  4. Add about 3/4 cup of the frosting to 5 separate zip-lock freezer bags. Tint each bag of frosting with a different food gel color.

To assemble

  1. Using a knife, cut out the center of each cupcake (save the tops!).
  2. Snip off an end of the zip-lock bag, and fill the hole in the cupcake with each rainbow color in layers. Tap the cupcake after each color to ensure each buttercream layer is packed down.
  3. Top the filled cupcake with a piece of the cupcake scraps you removed.
  4. Frost the cupcake with the white buttercream to finish.

Joining Nicole Scherzinger, Dame Judi Dench, Russell Tovey, Talking Heads frontman David Byrne and Downton Abbey's Laura Carmichael was classical singer Camilla Kerslake, who arrived on the arm of her boyfriend, England rugby captain Chris Robshaw and managed to steal the limelight on the red carpet in a very revealing, floor-length black gown.

Of course, the downside of a very revealing gown is often a potentially embarrassing wardrobe malfunction and that's exactly what happened to Camilla. But she took it in her stride and has actually given us all a step-by-step guide on what to do if a skimpy frock ever tries to get the better of us…

Keep a close eye on said frock and hope hunky boyfriend diverts attention

Hillary Clinton just announced her run for president

In an email from her campaign chairman, John Podesta, Clinton made it official.

To kick off her announcement, here is a highly anticipated video that features a group of everyday Americans in various stages of their lives talking about how their lives are expected to change in the future: a woman whose daughter is going to start kindergarten and is moving so her daughter can go to a better school, another woman going back to work after years raising kids, a couple having a child, a young girl applying for jobs, a gay couple planning to marry, an adorable little boy excited about playing a fish in a school production, a woman preparing for retirement, and more.

In the end, Clinton appears and says, "I'm getting ready to do something, too. I'm running for president. Americans have fought their way back from tough economic times, but the deck is still stacked in favor of those at the top. Everyday Americans need a champion, and I want to be that champion. So you can do more than just get by, you can get ahead... and stay ahead. Because when families are strong, America is strong." Watch the full video below.

clinton announcement 2016

She closes by announcing she's hitting the road to meet the voters. The video shows Clinton as a champion for the people, and while many of us know she always has been, this was one of Clinton's issues in her race against Barack Obama — she just didn't come across as a people's president. Comments were made on CNN leading up to the announcement that many of the journalists on the panel knew Clinton to be a warm, caring person when they spoke one-on-one off camera. It will be interesting to see if Clinton can correct the public's perception of her this go-round.

Democrats and even some Republicans are excited about this news, and I don't blame them. It's about time we had a female president, and given all the attacks on women's equality, we're going to need one in the coming years more than we ever have. But it's not just about girl power. We also need a competent president. I know there are those who'd say a woman can't win, that a woman VP candidate was McCain's downfall, but anyone whose VP was Alaska McCrazy was going to have some issues, gender aside.

But Hillary Clinton is another thing altogether. It remains to be seen who'll run against her in the Democratic primary, but I still think she'd make one hell of a president.

1. She's already got regulatory and leadership chops

She advocated heavily for the creation of the State Children's Health Insurance Program, promoted nationwide immunization programs for children, played a leading role in creating the Adoption and Safe Families Act and the Foster Care Independence Act and created the Office on Violence Against Women in the Department of Justice. All this before being elected to her second senatorial term.

2. She has experience with foreign affairs and respect from foreign governments

As secretary of state, Clinton was tasked with repairing the United States' damaged global reputation, and she visited 112 countries to do so. She championed increasing the U.S. diplomatic presence, even in Iraq, and released the Global Hunger and Food Security program. She also saved the signing of a Turkish-Armenian accord.

But she understands that there's not always a diplomatic solution. She urged VP Biden to send an additional 21,000 troops to Afghanistan and, as a senator, voted to move into Iraq.

3. She's not a warmonger

While she's clearly willing to sign off on combat when necessary, unlike some of our current candidates, she knows war should be the last resort. According to Clinton, "robust diplomacy and effective development are the best long-term tools for securing America's future."

4. She's well respected by her team

Patti Solis Doyle, one of Clinton's core group of advisors, coined the term "Hillaryland" to refer to the close-knit group Clinton surrounded herself with. It was also used to refer to their area of the West Wing. Most members of the group are women, and the only man, Neel Lattimore, is gay. The area had its own subculture based on camaraderie, and Hillaryland has a reputation for never leaking information to the press.

5. She stands up for women

Hillary Clinton pays more than lip service to feminism. She's long been a pro-choice advocate, but she's also in favor of expanding the Family and Medical Leave Act, guaranteeing paid sick leave, ensuring workplace flexibility, passing equal pay laws (she cosponsored the Paycheck Fairness Act) and outlawing workplace discrimination against parents.

She's also a fan of universal pre-K and high-quality child care, reproductive and other health care services for women both in the U.S. and around the world, fighting AIDS and expanding women's opportunities as a tool for global economic development.

6. She's patriotic

You'd think, after losing to Barack Obama in the Democratic primary, Clinton would want nothing to do with his presidency. And when he initially asked her to serve as Secretary of State, she was skeptical (and may have thought he was a little crazy), but he persisted, and eventually she said yes. In her own words: "I'm pretty old-fashioned, and it's just who I am. So at the end of the day, when your president asks you to serve, you say yes, if you can."

7. She earned political respect before she was a politician

Prior to Hillary Clinton, the idea of the first lady was an old, dowdy, motherly woman (or a young, fashionable, motherly woman). Clinton was the first first lady to hold a postgraduate degree and was very involved in the drafting of law. Her strength, intelligence and perseverance have set a new bar for the role of the first lady and changed our attitude toward female politicians.

8. Nancy Reagan wants her to win

Said Nancy Reagan, “I want Hillary to win. Even though I admire two of the current potential Republican nominees, I have no interest in seeing either of them lead this country.” *record scratching noise*

As an added bonus, if Clinton wins, we can escape that whole awkward discussion of what to call the husband of the president for the time being. Per U.S. custom, he'll always just be President Clinton — which, I'll admit, may be equally confusing. But if we can do anything to at least reduce the "first dude" jokes…

Kids snatched by CPS because their parents won't change 'free range’ ways

Free range

Free range

We first heard of the Meitivs on Dec. 20, 2014, when police picked up their children, 10-year-old Rafi and 6-year-old Dzora, walking home alone from a park in Maryland. The Meitivs had given this act of independence much thought. They believed their kids were responsible enough to walk a mile home by themselves.

The parents were found guilty of neglect by CPS in March for letting their kids walk home alone from school. This non-criminal charge means that CPS will keep a file on the family for a minimum of five years, which the Meitivs planned to appeal.

Just a month after child neglect charges were filed, the Meitivs were busted again. The children were seized by CPS when found unattended in a park at 5 p.m. on Sunday. The kids were taken to Child Protective Services, though their parents were not contacted until hours later. The children were finally released to their parents at 10:30 p.m. on Sunday night.

Before they could take their kids home, the Meitivs were required to sign a safety plan that forbade them from leaving their kids alone again. If the Meitivs are able to stay on their best behavior and keep their free-range parenting under wraps (i.e., no more incidents), the CPS charges of "unsubstantiated child neglect" will be expunged after five years.

This may be one of the first times that CPS has come head-to-head with parents over a parenting style. First pioneered by Lenore Skenazy in 2008, the original free-range mom who let her 9-year-old ride the New York subway alone, free-range parenting has since become a parenting movement.

Skenazy has been following the Meitivs closely on her Free Range Kids blog, where she pointed out the most egregious part of the story: These kids were held for hours by CPS without informing their parents. Skenazy says, "I think we all are beginning to understand just how insane, cruel, vindictive and evil the state can be when it comes to respecting human rights, in this case the right of parents who love their kids to raise them the way they see fit."

As a parent, I lean free range (and I also happen to be a Lenore Skenazy superfan). This CPS intervention in a free-range family brings up an important debate: At what point does free-range parenting border on neglect?

Danielle Meitiv emphasized in a January Today interview that their parenting style is hardly new. She said, "We're just doing what our parents did. It was considered perfectly normal just one generation ago."

CPS is a valuable organization designed to protect the welfare of children, but in this case, they have gone too far. Instead of targeting what appears to be a loving family with two involved parents making conscious "free range" choices, time could be better spent on children experiencing real neglect and abuse.

This is another perfect example of our culture rewarding paranoia and discouraging common sense.

Couple married 73 years dies minutes apart in two different places

The couple were both suffering from Altzheimers disease and in two different nursing homes. According to their son, he got the middle of the night call for his father. And just as he was adjusting to that, he got a second one five minutes later. This time it was his mother.

The two met in high school and fell in love just as World War II broke out. "He enlisted, and then they ran off, decided to get married," said Doug, one of their three sons. "I don’t think they had the blessings of either of their parents."

I'm sure if that were true then, their minds would be changed now. Seventy-three years is a long, beautiful time to be married so clearly they found something that really worked. Even so, 73 years doesn't feel like nearly long enough.

It's easy in the thick of family life and responsibilities to forget how much a lifetime together can mean, but this is a great reminder that even the longest marriages aren't nearly as long as we'd like them to be. I got married at 25, which means to make it to 50 years, we need to live to 75 and 76. It would be close to impossible for us to make it to 73. And yet I want to. Isn't that the dream?

Quite frankly, I wouldn't want to live a day without my husband. The Wilsons were likely so connected in life, that they felt the same way. Despite not being physically in proximity to one another, they still somehow knew that their love was gone. If that doesn't give you the chills, you are a stone cold heart.

Pink just slammed body-shamers in a hilarious but positive way

On Saturday night the "Just Give Me a Reason" singer attended a cancer benefit in support of her friend Dr. Maggie DiNome, and she looked elegant in a long black gown with a plunging V-neckline. But not everyone thought Pink looked as amazing as we thought she did, and she quickly became the subject of some harsh criticism about her body.

But instead of letting the body-shaming upset her, Pink took to Twitter on Sunday to slam her haters with one epic tweet about how she felt beautiful on the night, and she can assure you that she is happy and healthy.

"I can see that some of you are concerned about me from your comments about my weight," she tweeted. "You're referring to the pictures of me from last night's cancer benefit that I attended to support my dear friend Dr. Maggie DiNome. She was given the Duke Award for her tireless efforts and stellar contributions to the eradication of cancer. But unfortunately, my weight seems much more important to some of you. While I admit that the dress didn't photograph as well as it did in my kitchen, I will also admit that I felt very pretty. In fact, I feel beautiful."

But it was the way that she ended her positive message that proved just how awesome Pink is.

"I am perfectly fine, perfectly happy, and my healthy, voluptuous and crazy strong body is having some much deserved time off. Thanks for your concern. Love, cheesecake," the star wrote, poking fun at all the negativity about her weight.

We applaud Pink for dealing with the harsh comments so well, but what is so special about her positive body image is the effect that it has on her young daughter, Willow.

Pink also took to Twitter on Sunday to share her response to her young daughter's question about her belly being "squishy" — and her reason why is amazing.

The perfect solution to fake a longer ponytail (VIDEO)

I'm still convinced any perfect pony is thanks all in part to Photoshop. That's why we made messy buns trendy instead, because everyone was sick of trying and failing to get the perfect ponytail.

But SheKnows Beauty Expert Allison Pynn has a trick up her sleeve that is giving me a total "duh" moment. Essentially, you create two ponytails and the result is a sort of beauty optical illusion. But don't take my word for it. Watch the video above! (Did I mention she's also incredibly entertaining?)
