Man's 10 pound penis is more scary than sexy

0
0

In these situations, I usually like to say, "to each his own," but when the owner of the enhanced appendage seems somewhat disabled by it, it makes me wonder, what's the point? Based on the interview a Vice reporter conducted with said owner of the infamous 10-pound penis, it appears I'm not the only one.

More: Why size doesn't matter

Micha is a 45-year-old German man who lives in Berlin, and frequents sex clubs dressed in a black latex body suit, because it makes him feel more comfortable (although that's hard to imagine considering what he's packing). He told Vice the disguise helps him overcome his shy nature.

"You can offer up who you are and show yourself the way you want without having to think about what other people will think of you." This notion justifies his penile enhancement in a way — it's as if he built it a mask.

Micha began toying around with the idea of enlarging his penis 20 years ago when he got a penis pump as a present. I can only imagine getting the present in the first place would plant some serious insecurities, but I digress. He told Vice, "First, I tried it secretly for myself. But then it happened that I went out pumped up. And I realized that it was a good feeling."

Image: imoviesquotes.com

The fact that he felt better in public while larger made him obsessed with making the change more permanent.

More: Guy writes an essay on penis, and we're really confused

He started with saline injections. A medical student friend helped him acquire the saline, and while the injections were painful, they did the job, at least for a short while. But the constant maintenance began to frustrate Micha, and eventually he was ready for something even more permanent — silicone.

Over the next four years, Micha had four silicone penile enhancement procedures performed. While the silicone felt foreign at first, over time he says it started to feel like part of his body. As a result, he sports a penis that is nine inches long, 3.5 inches wide and weighs around 9.5 pounds.

Image: Giphy

"I can't say exactly how much it weighs, I just know that my kitchen scale, which shows up to 6.6 pounds hasn't been enough for a while," he told Vice.

While he is ultimately satisfied with the look of it, and how it makes him feel, Micha's enhanced penis is often more a nuisance than anything else. He does everything he can to hide it when he goes about his daily life. He even feels compelled to sit down when he pees, because it's so unwieldy.

But all that might be worth it if the enlargement significantly enhances his sex life, right? Well, unfortunately it creates issues there too. First off, just like enlarged breasts, Micha gets no added pleasure from silicone enhancement. In fact, it actually makes it impossible to see when he gets an erection, because it happens inside the silicone foreskin. Needless to say, it complicates sexual encounters, and makes certain positions pretty much impossible.

More: The real average male penis size is going to make a lot of men happy

Micha also touches on an interesting issue that women with breast implants have faced for a long time now. He said he sometimes finds he's reduced to "the bulge," meaning people see him as a penis rather than a person. This idea of being objectified because of an enlarged body part is much less common for men than for women, so it's helpful to finally hear that the male perspective on the subject is not that different.

Image: Giphy

Micha's giant penis comes with a significant moral — you can hide your insecurities behind silicone all you want, but at the end of the day, it's just a mask that's a lot harder to take off than a latex suit.

Meatless Monday: Waldorf 'chicken' salad is a vegan take on a classic

0
0

That is precisely why I fell in love with this Waldorf-style "chicken" salad that is actually a vegan take on this classic dish.

Created by Wendy Matthews, an education and outreach manager for Farm Sanctuary, and from the Living the Farm Sanctuary Life cookbook, this alternative recipe brings the mix of sweetness and crunch that we love in a classic Waldorf salad, but with an added dose of healthy compassion. By making this meal today, we're not only eating healthier, but we're helping to create a more sustainable planet. And isn't that something we can all agree on?

Waldorf-Style "Chicken" Salad

Waldorf-style "chicken" salad recipe

With so many incredible (dare we say superior) chicken and mayo alternatives on the market, this take on the classic Waldorf salad adds a key component that was missing from the original — a healthy dose of compassion. With its delectable mix of sweetness, creaminess and crunch, we're sure it won't be just the animals that are happy with this recipe on the table; your diners will be too.

  • 1 cup halved, seedless red grapes
  • 1 cup finely sliced celery
  • 3/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 a small red onion, finely chopped

Teen Mom's Catelynn and Tyler open up about their adoption struggles

As Carly grows up, the relationship between Lowell and Baltierra and her adoptive parents, Teresa and Brandon Davis, appears to have become more strained. And on Monday's episode of Teen Mom OG, we witnessed just how much tension there is between the two couples.

Lowell and Baltierra are currently very upset about the fact that they have so little visitation time with Carly, and things came to a head when the reality TV stars defied her adoptive parents and posted a photo of her on social media.

More: Teen Mom's Catelynn Lowell addresses Tyler Baltierra breakup rumors

During a recent episode, which can be seen in a video obtained by People magazine, Teresa calls up the couple and tells them that she thinks it's time that they all met with the social worker for "an open, honest conversation" about their adoption plan.

Lowell then asks Teresa, "Have you guys thought about us getting all together after our conversation, like with Carly?" After a long pause, she finally agrees.

Following the brief phone conversation Lowell has with Teresa, Baltierra can be seen getting angry as he says, "Honestly, I'd love to see Carly, but this conversation really needs to happen. I'm saying I want to let them know before anything gets aired on TV, like I'm letting you know that the cameras have captured my frustration, my opinions been expressed strongly."

Lowell also weighs in, explaining that she wants to ask Teresa and Brandon a very important question when they meet. "We feel like we're always sacrificing our feelings and emotions to put ourselves in your shoes, but do you ever do that for us?"

Game of Thrones review: Tyrion seriously knows how to puke and rally

0
0

The first scene in Season 5 was also a first for the show: a flashback, of none other than young Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey).

More: Game of Thrones' Lena Headey opens up about her battle with depression

Hate on me all you want, but Cersei has always been my favorite character. I know, I know. She's horrible. But every character in Game of Thrones is just as bad. Cersei's just trying to protect herself and her family, like everyone else. She's just more brutal in her approach. But we all know by now that to survive in Westeros you have to be ruthless. So Cersei's a survivor. You can't really blame her for that.

And the flashback was a key moment for Cersei's survival instinct to kick in, thanks to a daunting foretelling from a witch in the woods predicting Cersei's rise to power and her unhappy marriage. It was awesome, especially considering that we then saw Tywin's lifeless body and the aftermath of his killing, including Tyrion (Peter Dinklage), who isn't taking the death so well either.

He's deciding to match the amount of betrayal he's faced with an equal amount of booze. I really wasn't kidding about that title. Tyrion literally pukes up wine and then immediately begins drinking again. He isn't messing around about his intoxication levels.

More: Fans are furious at Game of Thrones' huge spoiler plan

Luckily, and seriously surprisingly, it's Varys to Tyrion's rescue. Because Varys — dun, dun, dun — wants to see Daenerys on the throne.

It really is the women who kick butt in this episode. Though we didn't see Arya at all, we did catch up with Sansa, who's dyed her hair dark to better fit the look of Littlefinger's bastard.

Then there's Margaery, who's flirting with poor young Tommen, who doesn't have a clue about the politics of being king. Margaery also showed her prowess when she walked in on her brother and his lover without a care in the world about his nakedness or who he chose to share his bed with. She's got a plan and it just might involve getting rid of Cersei once and for all. Like grandmother, like granddaughter.

More: The Game of Thrones women become the Real Housewives of Westeros

And, finally, even Melisandre was wielding her witchy power. And Stannis thinks he's in control... it makes me laugh every time. But now that she's with the Night's Watch, Jon Snow just might be strong-willed enough to stand up to the Red Woman (even though she's also gone for a darker dye job this season. It might be that whole "winter is coming" thing... the ladies have to get their fall hair on.).

This season definitely seems to be leading to a lot of new conspiracies, and they all seem to involve the ladies doing some serious plotting. While the Game of Thrones girls have always been a vital and intricate part of the world, it seems like the Season 5 premiere really set up all these gals to take center stage going forward.

Did you love the Season 5 premiere as much as I did?

The Mamafesto: What happens when a bunch of feminists talk about family?

0
0

The desire to create this space came after giving many workshops and speaking on panels at feminist conferences. I usually tended to talk about issues related to the family and always second guessed whether anyone would choose my panel. With so much other wonderful social justice action going on, would anyone be interested in talking about families? Inevitably, the panels ended up being standing room only, with folks staying a half hour past our end time to keep discussing points that had been brought up. It always invigorated me to see how attendees, from teens to those with grandkids, felt just as passionate about the variety of issues impacting families. How could we keep these important conversations going, I would wonder? And so… COFFEE was born.

Last week was the inaugural event of COFFEE: the (un) Conference on Feminist Families, Equity & Experiences. This event is where parents and those who care about family can gather together and talk about everything that impacts and challenges the modern day family. It's a space where we can look at the expanding definition of what family means and how we can support it. I wasn't sure what to expect when I started putting this together. I wrangled a few fabulous friends to help me figure out just how we were going to get this off the ground, somehow found a handful of generous sponsors and watched as this longtime dream became a reality.

The first day included a working dinner, where attendees sat together and talked about why they chose to come and what they hoped to get out of the event. Over a delicious meal, the discussion at my table ranged from birth politics, where we talked about doula access. I listened as the executive director of Choices in Childbirth spoke with a local doula and nursing student. The two had never met, but it was clear how dedicated to maternal health and satisfaction they both were. We also spoke of Indiana woman Purvi Patel and the injustice over how she was given a sentence of 20 years for experiencing a miscarriage. We briefly discussed NBC's miniseries The Slap, which led to a discussion of corporal punishment just how emotionally difficult and draining new parenthood can be. And, of course, we passed around our phones, sharing pictures of our kids. Perfection.

The next day we met in a lecture hall on a local college campus to really start digging into some of the topics that were broached at the dinner. While we provided free childcare, a few women had their babies strapped to them in carriers, and talks of expanding the definition of family were punctuated by coos, gurgles and the occasional quick cry. Again, perfection. Many parents feel left out of the conversation simply because they don't have access to childcare that allows them to attend conferences, even in the social justice realm. Providing childcare, as well as making the space child friendly was so important to us.

Over the two days we spent together, we barely scratched the surface. We discussed how workplaces can better support families, birth politics, gender non-comforming kids, building community support, how race/class/gender/sex all impact families and help to expand the narrow definition that is so often used.

I left invigorated, inspired and energized to continue to keep the conversation going. We're hoping to make this an annual event, to possibly bring in speakers, have action sessions where we take our thoughts and ideas and figure out how to best put them into practice and possibly even policy. These two days showed me that within feminism there is certainly a place for families, and that families are an ever growing and important presence within the feminist sphere.

The best cruelty-free vegan lip products

Vegan Lipstick

When I switched over my skin care products, I started noticing a really positive effect on my skin, including completely getting over my hormonal acne. This was a breakthrough moment and I cheerfully switched over almost all of my hair and skin products. But by far the most difficult one to let go of was lipstick. I love, love, love a great red. Words can't describe how amazing I feel in my signature red: Guerlain Kiss Kiss in Red Hot (above). I feel a little like I could conquer the world wearing that thing. But it's also not cruelty-free and definitely not toxin-free. So I set out to test the best natural, vegan lip products! These picks are organic, not tested on animals, are formulated with ingredients that you can pronounce and, frankly, are good enough to eat (because that's what you do with lippies).

1. Best red

Vegan Lipstick

Gressa Lip Boost in Aux Rouge (petitvour.com, $26)

I've been wearing Gressa Aux Rouge for a few weeks now. It's more of a lip stain, so it gives a sheer wash of pinkish red rather than a classic matte finish, which makes it a perfect transition to warmer weather. It's formulated with cocoa butter and coconut oil, but since this one is mostly about its gorgeous, highly pigmented color, you might want to layer a balm on top for a more hydrated finish.

2. Best coral

Vegan Lipstick

Pacifica Devocean Natural Lipstick in Rebel Sol (pacificabeauty.com, $14)

I love Pacifica products because their ingredients list reads like something I would eat: sunflower oil, shea butter, coconut oil, beetroot extract. And this lovely, vibrant coral color (not too orange, not too pink) is just perfect for spring: lighter than a classic matte red, but no less feminine or pretty.

3. Best nude

Vegan Lipstick

MarieNatie LoveMarie Lip Gloss in Flair (marienatie.com, $18)

I'm not really a pale-lip girl, but this vegan, organic and gluten-free lip gloss by MarieNatie might make me a convert. It's a soft pinkish beige with just the right amount of shine, and as a bonus, it smells heavenly like French vanilla. It's also composed of a delicious blend of botanical ingredients like coconut oil, grape seed oil, cocoa butter, carrot powder, grapefruit seed extract and more.

4. Best natural

Vegan Lipstick

French Girl Mineral Lip Tint in Rose Noir (petitvour.com, $11)

If you are looking for "natural lips, but better," try French Girl Mineral Lip Tint. This super-moisturizing lip balm tints your lips with just a hint of plummy red color. It has no synthetic ingredients or dyes, and is full of yummy ingredients like olive oil, rose oil and geranium essential oil. This one is always in my purse for hydrating my lips on the go.

5. Best wine

Vegan Lipstick

Vegan Lipstick

Studio 78 On Se Marie Liquid Lipstick in Velvet Wedding (naturalphilosophie.com, $31)

This très chic French brand is all natural and mostly organic (avocado and apricot oil based), but you wouldn't guess it from the highly pigmented liquid lipstick and its serious attitude. Seriously, I felt very couture and sophisticated wearing this deep wine, which strikes a perfect balance of brown and purple tones. It has a sponge-tip applicator which makes putting it on really easy.

Which one of these would you try? Any favorite cruelty free/natural/vegan lippies you can't live without? And let me know if you have any questions!

Bobby Flay, Stephanie March infidelity accusations begin to fly

Flay and March announced their separation with intent to divorce last week, and they are already duking it out over the enforcement of the couple's 2005 prenup. The celebrity chef sent his ex a $5000 support check, as per the terms of the agreement, which she promptly had her lawyer send back with a stern note.

"We regard the support provisions of the pre-marital agreement as unenforceable (not to mention reprehensible)," read the missive.

More: Khloé Kardashian's obsession with Lamar Odom might hold up their divorce

March also accused Flay of "bullying through economic warfare" after he canceled the credit cards she uses to pay for daily expenses like groceries, and said he is trying to bully her into signing a settlement agreement by threatening to kick her and her sick mother out of the marital home.

"It's a really difficult time for Stephanie, both because of this, and she's helping her mother, who has some health issues," March's attorney told Fox News. "And [she] is contending with her own health issues. Given all that, she would like to maintain her privacy."

More: Nicholas Sparks is getting a divorce: Why Twitter thinks it's hilarious

Each side is also accusing the other of infidelity. Flay was rumored to have had affairs with both January Jones and Giada De Laurentiis, but denied both. "They [Flay and De Laurentiis] spent time together, they filmed a show together, they were never [romantically] involved," his lawyer told Fox News. March's lawyer said Flay is accusing her of doing the same, which she emphatically denies.

Flay was already a multimillionaire at the time of the marriage, while March is an actress who starred on Law & Order: SVU. The couple has no children and is mostly squabbling over property, including a New York City apartment and a home in the Hamptons.

Proof the Spaghetti Meatballwich is America's next great sandwich

Enter the Spaghetti Meatballwich at The Carving Board, a sandwich chain in Los Angeles.

It's everything you love about your fave Italian-American dish, packed into delicious sandwich form, and it looks amazing. I pretty much lost my mind when I saw this culinary miracle. I guess you could call it love at first sight.

Spaghetti Meatballwich

Spaghetti Meatballwich

The two buns are actually made of griddled Parmesan spaghetti, in the same manner that you've seen with the ubiquitous ramen burger.

Next, the filling is comprised of delicious, house-made beef meatballs, lovingly covered with garlic-basil marinara and a thick blanket of mozzarella cheese.

The result? Spaghetti and meatballs you can eat with your hands. I think I can now die happy.

Woman accused of cheating with entire Wu-Tang Clan in one night

0
0

Lia Palmquist didn't deny knowing the members of the popular hip-hop group, which was hailed as the "best rap group ever" by Rolling Stone and had a number of huge hits in the '90s, including "C.R.E.A.M." Sure, she partied with them. She even hung out with them on their tour bus and in their hotel until 7 in the morning, according to MTV.com. But, you guys, that was where it ended. Really!

The members of Wu-Tang Clan, you see, are "gentlemen," Palmquist says. She also says they treated her "highly respectful," and said "I would never cheat on him. I would never be a bust-down or a groupie in that type of situation."

So yes, she was dating her man that fateful night she spent talking and hanging out with the Wu-Tang Clan, but she simply lost track of time, and the next thing she knew, she glanced down at her watch and realized it was morning. Oops!

But live-in boyfriend Nathan Sellers (wait a minute, you guys aren't even married, and you're dragging yourselves through Divorce Court?) wasn't buying any of that. He immediately accused her of having sex with Method Man, RZA, GZA, Ghostface Killah, Ol' Dirty Bastard, Raekwon, Masta Killa, Cappadonna, U-God and Inspectah Deck. Whew — it's a miracle she had the energy to hop into a cab and make her way back home if she had really been that busy all night.

I don't know, you guys. I understand it sounds suspicious to hear about a woman who spent the entire night in the company of famous musicians. But in Palmquist's defense, the Wu-Tang Clan are better known for their thoughtful lyrics and interesting views on... uh... kung fu than they are their antics with groupies involving sharks (sorry, Led Zeppelin fans).

Also, why did this man wait two decades to bring this up in court? And again, why the heck are they even in court? Can't they split their furniture in peace and part ways?

Oh well. Can't say it doesn't at least make for interesting TV:

Mariah Carey infuriates fans with new Photoshopped album cover (PHOTO)

Not that they are necessarily wrong. The photo at the top of this article was taken on March 14, 2015 at the Human Rights Campaign Los Angeles Gala, and the singer clearly is not as thin and toned as she appears in the album art.

The real question is why, after a 25-plus-year career earning her a place with ultimate divas like Aretha Franklin and Whitney Houston, does Carey feel like she has to present her body in such an unrealistic way?

The Spit Magazine founders give us a lesson on 'feminist porn'

0
0

From photo shoots to videos, the content is hot, exciting and beautifully raw. "The porn that Spit makes aims to be hot, authentic and fun. We are creating and making porn that showcases people who are often excluded or exploited from mainstream porn," says Jesse Rae West, administrative coordinator for the site. I spoke to both Jesse and co-founder Caitlin K. Roberts to find out about their site and exactly what goes into producing feminist porn.

Although many may have a lot of misconceptions as to what feminist porn can be, Jesse clears it up by telling me, "Feminist porn can and does often feature hard-core, intensely passionate scenes similar to mainstream porn, but with the overt presence of consent, genuine pleasure and the absence of unproductive social constructs of gender. It is both a political statement and outlet for fantasy."

More: Being a feminist is not making other women feel bad for their choices

Launched in July 2013, The Spit Magazine is an authentic and alternative porn collaborative, focused on sex positivity and pleasure, and a feminist porn collaboration community. When you visit the Spit website, you'll be overcome with the sense of celebration, particularly because mainstream porn oftentimes treats women like sex objects, while Spit celebrates bodies and the colourful spectrum of things that make each and every human unique and special.

I was impressed to find that the films and photos on Spit's website feature women just like me (fat, straight, cis female), which makes me feel like there could be a place for me in this sexual landscape. And I'm sure you will too when you visit the site. Jesse explains to me, "Our content features people interacting in a way that feels genuine to them regardless of what genitals they have or what looks good on camera. We celebrate tummies, cellulite and body hair as much as we do tits, asses and cocks."

"By watching this representation of all bodies and all people in pornography, it opens up the landscape to a healthier sexual image and more positive body images," Caitlin adds. "The body is the mouthpiece for how sexuality is expressed. To have negative feelings towards bodies will tie into one's attitude towards sexuality."

More: A lesson on orgasms

This year The Spit Magazine was nominated for a Feminist Porn Award, which Caitlin tells me is "exciting and humbling. Something that started off as a passion project is being recognized by people who inspired us to start Spit." While building the Spit brand, Jesse and Caitlin have spent considerable time and effort ensuring that their porn is made ethically, which includes listening to their critics to promote growth not only in themselves but in their performers as well. Jesse mentions, "We remove the pressure of forcing or encouraging a female performer to reach orgasm, which is so often included in porn with the sole purpose of gratifying men and their sexual ego."

Jesse tells me, "I hope our work — and the work of others — can help people on their journey to self-love and acceptance."

So what is next for The Spit Magazine? With its Feminist Porn Award nomination in tow, it has inspired the website to do more and to do more often. Caitlin shares, "I am honoured to be cast amongst people who have been changing the landscape of pornography for years, and I hope we can continue to contribute to the cause in a positive and supportive way." Next up, it will be hosting its bimonthly play party and porn shoot on April 13 at the Oasis Aqualounge.

David Letterman's getting help from huge A-list stars for his final sendoff

The Late Show host just announced some of the star-powered names that will be joining him for his remaining few episodes, and he couldn't have found more A-listers if he'd tried.

More: VIDEO: Jay Leno's sad, star-studded Tonight Show goodbye

Oprah Winfrey, Julia Roberts, George Clooney, Bill Murray and Tom Hanks are just a few of the huge names who will be helping to give Letterman a worthy sendoff.

As if those five names alone wouldn't be enough to get you to tune in to The Late Show, Letterman will also be joined by Will Ferrell, Tina Fey, Jack Hanna, Scarlett Johansson, Michael Keaton, Steve Martin, Don Rickles, Ray Romano, Paul Rudd, Jerry Seinfeld, Martin Short, Howard Stern, John Travolta and Bruce Willis, according to People.

More: David Letterman welcomes Stephen Colbert on The Late Show

And those are just the actors. Musical guests include Mumford & Sons, Amos Lee, Norah Jones, Dave Matthews Band, Elvis Costello and Brandi Carlile, among others.

Additional names are also expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

Letterman, who holds the title for longest-running late-night host in history, has just 28 shows left. After more than 20 years working on the show, he will be retiring and passing the torch to Stephen Colbert, who will step into the hosting seat in May, following Letterman's final show on May 20.

More: Stephen Colbert takes David Letterman's spot on Late Show

Letterman's departure comes in the midst of several late-night changes. James Corden recently took over for longtime Late Late Show host Craig Ferguson. And Jimmy Fallon has only been hosting The Tonight Show since February 2014.

And while the changes are definitely exciting, the new hosts, unfortunately, don't offer much in the way of diversity. But there is no doubt these men can put on a good show.

I'm an entrepreneur, founder of WeMontage, the world's only website that lets you turn images into a large montage on removable wallpaper. I completed a tech accelerator and raised capital, but when the business ran out of cash I had no choice but to come home and be the primary caregiver of my then 18-month-old twins, Thaddeus and Zoe.

And I had to figure out a way to turn the business around in the process.

Gulp.

I'm not gonna lie, trying to get work done while taking care of the kids is not easy. Naturally, I get lots of work done while they are taking a nap, and even while they're eating and watching their favorite show, Dora.

Thank God for Dora!

But it gets interesting when customers call. My son, and now my daughter too, like to play a game when my cell phone rings. The game is called "start laughing as loud as possible, run over to the sofa and begin climbing over the sofa and beyond the baby fence in the living room."

Did I mention, while laughing as loud as possible?

Thankfully, most customers find it adorable and maybe feel sorry for me, and they buy more of my stuff. But either way, it's very distracting for me and makes it harder to do my job as an entrepreneur.

Despite these challenges, through focus and determination I was able to improve the business after coming home to watch the kids, and I raised another $100,000 of capital to keep WeMontage on its path to success.

65-Year-old mother of 13 pregnant with quadruplets

You see, Raunigk is a 65-year-old school teacher with 13 children and seven grandchildren who is about to give birth to a set of quadruplets — and it's all being shot for a television documentary. Natch.

Not a typo. Let's repeat as the shock wears off: A 65-year-old woman is ready to birth a set of quadruplets.

This isn't Raunigk's first time garnering attention by birthing babies at a remarkable age. Just 10 years ago, at 55 years old, the Berlin school teacher grabbed headlines for giving birth to a daughter, Leila.

She got pregnant this go-around by artificial insemination with donated sperm and eggs. She's providing her freakishly capable super-uterus for her end of the deal.

As is common with women receiving fertility treatments, when she realized she was carrying four babies, she was given the option to "selectively reduce" (read: abort) some of the fetuses to cut down on the many complications that can arise with a multi-fetal pregnancy. She refused and decided to carry all four to term.

You can't deny that she's really dedicated to cranking out the kids.

OK, fine, I'll be the one to say it: How in the world does a 65-year-old woman, who is getting ready to retire at the end of the school year, plan on taking care of four babies? And what in the world would drive a woman who has already raised plenty of kids to put herself and her family through all of this?

Actually, that was a rhetorical question. I think she's willing to put her kids through this fertility freak show for a crack at stardom.

There's got to be some underlying motivator because raising babies — much less quadruplets — is an exhausting and expensive undertaking, particularly for a 65-year-old retired teacher with 13 kids. And at 65 years old, how much longer will she be alive to take care of those babies?

Undeniably, this is a decision Ms. Raungk has every right to make, but just because she can, does that mean she should?

Has she ever considered adopting one of the more than 150 million children without parents or the 7 million living in institutional care around the world? That probably wouldn't make nearly as compelling television though.

She dismisses any criticism about her decision to have babies so late in life: "I think one needs to decide for oneself and not listen too much to the opinions of others."

This bothers me in the same way as the Duggar family, who promotes having more kids than anyone could possibly care for. Even with a super tanker full of cash and boundless energy, there can't be enough resources to go around for 19 — or in this case 17 — kids. Women have every right to have as many babies as they want for as long as they possibly can. But does that mean we should? Even for a TV deal?

What do you think? Do you agree?

John Legend is rallying for legislative change with a new campaign

And he's using his celebrity power for more than just words. Legend is taking the campaign Free American to Texas where he'll perform at a corrections facility and meet with legislators to raise awareness about the issues at stake.

According to an interview with The Huffington Post, Legend explained, "We have a serious problem with incarceration in this country. It's destroying families, it's destroying communities and we're the most incarcerated country in the world and when you look deeper and look at the reasons we got to this place, we as a society made some choices politically and legislatively, culturally to deal with poverty, deal with mental illness in a certain way and that way usually involves using incarceration."

It's unclear as of now, if Legend has specific strategies in mind to combat this problem, but that's, most likely, what his discussion with legislators will entail.

Legend isn't stopping with Texas. He's taking the campaign across the nation. He will also visit a California state prison later this month. And he's planning to co-host a criminal justice event with Politico around the same time in Washington, D.C. Other artists involved in the campaign are expected to be announced.

This isn't the first time Legend has brought up the issue of mass incarceration. The singer used in Academy Award speech this year, after he won with Common for their song "Glory", to discuss the change needed.

"We know that right now, the struggle for freedom and justice is real," Legend said in his speech. "We live in the most incarcerated country in the world. There are more black men under correctional control today than were under slavery in 1850."

Legend also told Huffington Post that his campaign has already seen positive change. Proposition 47 was approved in California this past November. It redefines shoplifting, forgery, fraud, petty theft and possession of small amount of drugs — like cocain, heroin and methamphetamines — as misdemeanors. They were previously felonies.

"I'm just trying to create some more awareness to this issue," Legend explained, "and trying to make some real change legislatively."

New reports are claiming that Spelling feels completely betrayed by her husband because he has found comfort in the arms of another woman — and it was not just any woman; it was reportedly his ex-wife, Mary Jo Eustace.

"She's heartbroken," an insider told Star, via Radar Online. "She's trying to put on a brave face, but she's at a complete loss as to how to deal with it… She doesn't know what to do."

So, instead of working on his marriage, reports suggest McDermott was working on mending things with his ex-wife, and to make matters worse, Spelling reportedly only found out about the betrayal on Brandi Glanville's Unfiltered podcast.

According to Radar Online, earlier this year, Eustace revealed the news on the program when she said, "Dean, my ex-husband, apologized to me. There had been no apology for years and years and years. He came to my house, off camera, and I went into the kitchen to get him a coffee and turned around and he was right behind me."

And he reportedly made a "little bit" of a move on her, too.

Of course, Spelling is not taking this news very well, and an insider has revealed to the publication that she "doesn't recognize the man she married."

"It's become clear to Tori that Dean was after her for her money," the insider said. "She doesn't recognize the man she married. She's disgusted that he could go to his ex-wife at a time when they are supposed to be working on fixing their relationship. She wants to leave him but is terrified of being a single mom."

If the reports are true, then perhaps it's time for this couple to decide to go their separate ways. Tell us if you agree in the comments below.

3 Practices that will help you love your post-baby body

0

I'm so glad I did it, though I was not completely spared from seeing the number on the scale, since I was weighed at my many OB-GYN visits. In fact, at one memorable appointment, I'd gained 10 pounds!

Whenever I found myself freaking out a bit, though, I'd remind myself to do what I knew worked for me: Eat as many whole foods as possible (which sometimes meant not that many, depending on where I was in my pregnancy), move as much as I could and remember that I was currently growing another human being inside my body.

After my daughter was born, my body was the last thing on my mind. I was exhausted, covered in spit up and barely had time to shower, so I had no time for worries about my weight. Instead, I just ate as well as I could and moved as often as felt good.

My daughter is 10 months old now, and I'm back in the clothes I wore before I got pregnant (except my bras... ahem, breastfeeding makes that impossible), but that most certainly does not mean my body looks the same.

My linea nigra is still present, and I don't know if it will ever go away. The stretch marks that made their appearance in the final few weeks of my pregnancy (just when I thought I'd make it through without them!) are still etched into my lower belly, though they are not the angry red they once were. And about that lower belly, it sags. I am not sure I can ever do enough planks or eat enough kale to tighten the skin back up. And I'm totally, completely fine with that.

If you are struggling to accept your new shape, or are pregnant and concerned about loving what you're left with once your child is in your arms, here are three ways to love your post-baby body right now:

1. Compose a body appreciation list

Write down all of the reasons for which you deeply appreciate your body. Number one is probably that it carried your child. Note as many things as you can think of, including the fact that you can smell the spring flowers or hear the band playing your favorite song (yes, your nose and ears are part of your wonderful and amazing body!). You'll be surprised by how many things you can appreciate about your body right this second, no matter what it looks like. For even more inspiration, print the list out and hang it somewhere you’ll see it regularly.

2. Challenge your negative thoughts

The reason you want your body to look a certain way? Because your thoughts tell you it "should." And where do most of these thoughts come from? Probably media, magazines and maybe even family or friends. Every time you have a negative thought about your body, question it. Why do I think this? Is it true? What thought would feel better? Trust me, walking around with "I am taking the best care of my body possible" will serve you much better than "I hate my body and must lose weight ASAP."

3. Think about how your child sees you

You are your baby's whole entire world. To her, you are perfect. She needs you more than anything else in the world. As she grows older, she looks to you as an example of how to treat herself. Would you rather teach her that she should love and respect her body, mind and soul, or teach her that bodies are meant to be stressed and starved and hated?

Breastfeeding fetishism is a thing, and moms are fighting back

Breastfeeding fetishism

But it raises the question: If you find your breastfeeding photos are being used for sexual gratification of another person, what can you do about it?

Ashley Reed is an admin on a Facebook support page and said she shared a gorgeous photo of herself nursing her baby. She encouraged the page's followers to share their own photos, but she soon noticed someone had shared the photo to his own Facebook page for unpleasant reasons. She realized it wasn't because it was a pretty picture — the man is a self-proclaimed breastfeeding fetishist, and she says he made a crude comment about the photo.

She had no choice but to take the photo down, but she was inspired to create a petition that could possibly prevent something like this from happening again in the future. The petition reads:

There is a growing number of men who are sharing breastfeeding pictures for sexual purposes on Facebook. We need to change that.

I am asking Facebook to change the setting on a Page Owners account so we will be able to Approve and or Deny shares on the public page from any of our post.

This way we can better protect our images and fans.

The profile of the man in question was discovered to be involved in tons of inappropriate breastfeeding photo use, where he'd share the photos with a caption that included the words "Milk me" — including popular breastfeeding advocate Paa.la:

She, along with many others, reported the inappropriate use of these photos, and she says there are steps moms can take if something like this happens to them. "I blocked him," she tells me. "Blocking keeps him from seeing me and me from seeing him. Unfortunately, then I can't see what he's doing — if he's sharing more of my photos from my website or continuing to mess with other pages. After he was reported enough times, I believe Facebook removed his profile. But he supposedly has multiple accounts. It's very easy to do that."

She says she doesn't like the idea of her photos being used for sexual arousal. "But it's a small risk I take to help women across the globe," she shares. "And there are those people who fetishize just about everything, so there's no protecting anyone, stopping these people from being turned on and browsing the internet and Facebook."

The admins of Breast is Best without Fear say they will continue to share nursing photos, but they hope Facebook will add another measure of protection for Facebook owners to determine who can or cannot share the images they post.
