What will Christina Aguilera do on her hiatus from The Voice? First up, she's set to perform at the People's Choice Awards, where she'll also receive the award for People's Voice.

"I am thrilled to announce that Christina Aguilera is joining Jason Aldean as a performer at the People's Choice Awards," said executive producer Mark Burnett in a statement. "Christina is one of my dearest friends and lights up literally every stage she steps onto."

Aside from performing, she'll also be awarded the custom-designed Waterford crystal trophy for the People's Voice award. The award will be given in recognition of her achievements in the industry, her ability to reach fans across the globe and her scope within the pop, soul and R&B genres.

The kiddies might only see Christina Aguilera as that lady from The Voice, but most of us know Christina was workin' it long before the show. Aguilera, a five-time Grammy winner, has had four No. 1 singles on Billboard's Hot 100. During her career, Christina has sold more than 43 million albums worldwide. A few years back, she was also the only artist under 30 to make Rolling Stone's list of the 100 greatest singers of all time. That's pretty impressive for a girl who only turned 32 this month!

While working on The Voice, Christina also had the chance to record her new album, Lotus. The record features the upbeat, dance-friendly song, "Your Body."

Aside from Christina, country singer Jason Aldean will also be performing at the People's Choice Awards. Aldean made waves with his singles "Big Green Tractor" and "Amarillo Sky" and it's been smooth sailing ever since. Most recently, he released his already platinum-selling new album Night Train. The album includes the single "Take a Little Ride," which is the longest-running No. 1 country song of 2012.

The second Anchorman just got one step closer to reality. The much-awaited sequel is a long time coming, and when it is released, it will end up being out almost 10 years after the first one.

The studio announced today that Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues will be out Dec. 20, 2013, and it will include some familiar faces.

“The movie reunites the principals of the first movie — Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, David Koechner, and Christina Applegate on top of [Will] Ferrell — in more newsrooms hijinks,” according to the Hollywood Reporter. “Adam McKay is back as director.”

The first film was released July 9, 2004, and earned almost $91 million worldwide — not bad for a film with a $26 million production budget.

“It received a big boost on DVD, becoming ingrained in pop culture,” said THR.

The new sequel may also have a new face. According to TheWrap.com, Kristen Wiig is reportedly in talks to join the cast for the second film.

“Wiig would play opposite Steve Carell, as a love interest in the sequel,” The Wrap reported. “The script is still being written, and no cast beyond the principals has been set.”

Wiig is currently without a job, since she left her position on Saturday Night Live after last season.

“Best known for her work on Saturday Night Live, Wiig is one of the most in-demand actresses in Hollywood, since appearing in the film Bridesmaids,” according to the website. “She could recently be seen at the Toronto International Film Festival in the indie feature Imogene, and has been busy filming a number of titles, including The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, and Hateship Friendship, with Guy Pearce.”

The film is added to the list of numerous anticipated films to hit the theaters during the holiday season next year. Even with a lower budget, it’s set to be a fierce competitor.

When This Is 40 opens in theaters on Friday, movie-goers will take in a scene where a father jokingly plays "murder" with his toddlers.

The scene in question involves Albert Brooks' character Larry explaining to Paul Rudd how stressed out he is trying afford his three young sons, who are triplets.

Joking that he's going to save money by thinning out the number of mouths to feed, Brooks' character tells the kids, "Line up! Line up for murder! Come on! Who wants to be killed?"

Naturally, each of the blond-headed toddlers squeals with glee to be "murdered" with a squirt from the garden hose. He then says, "Boom, dead. You're dead. All right, the kids are murdered. That will save us some money."

Speaking to TMZ, Judd Apatow explained the scene "is spoken by a sarcastic father kidding with his children."

The 45-year-old, previously named to Entertainment Weekly's list of the 50 Smartest People in Hollywood, continued, "In light of recent events, I understand if some people might make an unfortunate association or put it in a context in which it was not intended."

TMZ reports the script was written two years ago, but it remains to be seen if keeping that particular scene in the film is such a smart move.

Quentin Tarantino is considered one of the best and most eclectic directors in Hollywood. But deep down, he’s just a fan like everyone else, and his favorite television show might be one that no one would have guessed.

"Hands down, my favorite show is How I Met Your Mother," he recently told MTV News' Josh Horowitz. "I've been watching that since the very first episode, so that's the one show that I always keep watching."

He added that he loves anything Aaron Sorkin writes, including his latest project.

“I love Newsroom,” he said. “That writing, every week, is just so exciting.”

However, Tarantino says he had to cut back significantly on his television viewing because it took him away from his true passion.

"I was for a while, about six years ago, I was watching a lot of the serialized television shows," the director told Horowitz. "I had to cut them out because I stopped going to movies because I was always caught up in four different serialized shows and the boxed set for this one and that one. I had to go, 'Look, I ain't about that. I'm about movies. I'd rather go out to the theaters.' "

Tarantino has also directed numerous TV shows, including CSI and ER, but has been sticking more with movies in recent years. He is responsible for films like Inglourious Basterds, Grindhouse, Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction. He also directed multiple episodes of Alias between 2002 and 2004.

The director has always been one to push the envelope, and his new film, Django Unchained, is no different. Here's how the Internet Movie Database describes it: “With the help of his mentor, a slave turned bounty hunter sets out to rescue his wife from a brutal Mississippi plantation owner.”

Django Unchained stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Jamie Foxx, and Christoph Waltz, and opens Christmas Day.

Angelina Jolie is set to add one more title to her directing credits. According to the Hollywood Reporter, she is in talks to direct Unbroken, a film based on the bestselling book by Laura Hillenbrand. The book spent 108 weeks on the New York Times best-seller list.

“In her life and in her work, Angelina has embraced stories and causes involving great struggle and triumph over tremendous odds and the basic human condition,” said Adam Fogelson and Donna Langley with Universal Pictures. “She has a real ability to illustrate the strength in human spirit, which will be essential in telling Lou’s story of survival and great heroism.”

Jolie’s name didn’t randomly appear on the list of possible directors — she said she had her eye on the film since the very beginning.

"I read Laura Hillenbrand's brilliant book, and I was so moved by Louie Zamperini's heroic story, I immediately began to fight for the opportunity to make this film," Jolie said in a statement to MTV. "Louie is a true hero and a man of immense humanity, faith and courage. I am deeply honored to have the chance to tell his inspiring story."

The film will follow Zamperini from success to devastation in a short amount of time, and Jolie feels she can show that struggle.

“Zamperini was a track prodigy who traveled to Berlin in 1936 for the Olympics at age 19, and though he didn't medal, his speedy final lap in the 5,000 meter race so impressed Adolf Hitler that the German dictator requested a personal meeting with the runner,” said MTV. “He enlisted in the Air Force in September 1941 and in April 1942 his plane went down in the ocean, killing eight of the 11 men on board.”

Jolie also directed In the Land of Blood and Honey, a 2011 film about life during the Bosnian war of the 1990s. This story is similar in that it follows a personal struggle, much of it internal.

“The survivors lived on rain water and raw fish, and survived a bombing by a Japanese airplane before Zamperini, now 96, and another man, Russell Phillips, reached the Marshall Islands and were captured by the Japanese Navy and held in captivity until August 1945,” said MTV.

Simon Cowell's dating life has been the source of much speculation lately after he was spotted in Hollywood with former Baywatch babe Carmen Electra throughout the fall. The couple has been pretty evasive as to whether they were dating until now.

On Wednesday, Cowell admitted to his former American Idol co-worker, Ryan Seacrest, that he is dating Electra. He was on the host's show, On Air with Ryan Seacrest, when he admitted, "She's not my girlfriend. We're people who date."

Even though The X Factor judge doesn't seem to want to categorize the former model as his girlfriend, it's very clear the two are enjoying the relationship. The pair originally met when they both worked on the judges' panel for Britain's Got Talent.

In early November, Electra admitted to Access Hollywood Live hosts, Billy Bush and Kit Hoover, "He's so cute. He is adorable. He's actually a sweetheart."

Bush pressed on for more information about their possible hook-up, and he asked if they had ever "been in a horizontal situation."

That is when the former Playboy model gave a pretty revealing answer with, "Maybe! My goodness! You really want to know, don't you?"

Electra shouldn't be too stressed out about sharing her private life to Bush. Cowell seems pretty taken with his date as well.

Even though the two are enjoying each other's company, it is doubtful that the two will be ordering wedding invitations any time soon. They both recently broke off engagements to other people earlier in 2012. Electra broke off her four-year engagement to Rob Patterson, and Cowell ended his two-year engagement to Mezhgan Hussainy.

Danielle Fishel has a lot of things to celebrate this year. First, she'll be back on TV in 2013 on the Disney Channel for Girl Meets World, the sequel to Boy Meets World. Now, she's officially a college graduate at the age of 31.

Getting her higher degree turned out to be a smart move for the actress. Not only is she a college graduate, but she also met her fiance while working as a math tutor.

On Wednesday, Fishel shared the news on her Tumblr page, exclaiming, "I am officially a college graduate! I took my last two undergraduate finals today and I am so happy, relieved, and proud. Yeah, I’m super proud of myself. :)"

Her motivating words also encouraged her fans to continue their education and fulfill their dreams. She talked about the hard work she had to put into making those dreams a reality, too.

The former Dish host wrote, "I hope that if any of you are in school or thinking about going to school, or have wanted to go to school for a long time but just keep finding reasons to put it off, you will listen to me when I tell you…go. Go for yourself."

She continued, "You CAN do it. I know you have to work…I had to work too."

The popular actress also shared that her fiance had to work full time as well to complete his degree. Even though she's in the spotlight, it seems that accomplishing a lifelong education goal is an important part of Fishel's success.

Now that her degree is finished, Fishel will be focusing on filming the pilot for Girl Meets World. The pilot will shoot in February and her beloved character, Topanga, will be reunited with Cory Matthews, played by Ben Savage.

Well, we aren't surprised to learn that rapper Fat Joe pleaded guilty to tax evasion Thursday afternoon. The hip-hop star, who was often featured in songs with Ja Rule and Ashanti , was in federal court today to face charges that he avoided paying income tax on over $2 million worth of income from 2007 to 2008.

Fat Joe, real name Joseph Antonio Cartagena, admitted to Judge Cathy Waldor in a Newark courtroom that he failed to file tax returns for 2007 and 2008. The amount he owes comes to about $718,000. The New York Post reports that paying back taxes is the least of Fat Joe's IRS problems. Fat Joe could also face two years in prison and a $200,000 fine.

Fat Joe is currently free on $250,000 bail. Cartagena's attorney issued a statement Thursday after the plea was entered, "Fat Joe has taken responsibility for his tax failures. He hopes to repay his tax indebtedness."

Fat Joe is just one of many celebrities who are guilty of tax evasion. Socialite Leona Helmsley, who is best known for leaving $12 million to her Maltese upon her death, once told a New York Times reporter, "We don't pay taxes. Only little people pay taxes." She spent 19 months in jail after being convicted of attributing over $4 million in personal home renovations as a business expense. Other celebrity tax evaders include Martha Stewart, Willie Nelson, O.J. Simpson, and Nicolas Cage.

This chewy Christmas fudge can be made with any Christmas or winter beer you like. Chances are, if you like the beer, you'll like the hints of flavor it gives your fudge. But don't worry about it tasting too much like alcohol. The other ingredients mask much of the malty and hoppy flavors of the beer, so you're just left with a treat that has just a touch of your favorite lager or ale.

Christmas-beer fudge recipe

Yields 16-30 pieces

Ingredients:

• 1 bottle Christmas or winter beer
• 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
• 1 can sweetened condensed milk
• 1 cup light brown sugar
• 1-1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
• 1 cup plus 1-3/4 tablespoons semisweet or dark chocolate chips
• 1 tablespoons honey
• 1/3 cup unsalted butter
• 1/4-1/3 cup nuts of your choice, chopped finely

Directions:

1. In a large saucepan over medium heat, mix beer and butter, stirring frequently for 20 or 30 minutes or until it forms a syrup with a glaze-like consistency.
2. Reduce the heat to low and add in the condensed milk, honey, vanilla and butter and stir until combined.
3. Add brown sugar and chocolate chips, increase the heat to medium and stir constantly, allowing the chocolate to melt.
4. Continue to cook on as high a heat as possible , never allowing the mixture to boil and stirring constantly for about 15 minutes.
5. The mixture is ready when the edges start to come away from the side of the pot slightly or when a teaspoonful dropped in cold water forms a ball.
6. Remove the mixture from the heat immediately and pour, 1/4 of the fudge at a time, into a greased 8 x 8-inch glass casserole dish. Between each 1/4 of the mixture, sprinkle in the nuts .
7. Cover the dish with wax paper or plastic wrap and allow to cool at room temperature for about an hour. When the bottom of the dish has cooled off enough to touch the bottom comfortably, you can move the dish into the refrigerator to finish setting.
8. Remove the dish from the refrigerator and cut the fudge into 16 to 30 uniform squares.

• For this recipe, we used Sierra Nevada Celebration with dark chocolate chips for a dark, roast-y flavor. This creates an intense and chewy fudge that's best for nibbling. You could also try Sam Adams Winter Lager or Christmas Ale with semisweet chocolate. Just remember to choose a chocolate that will complement your beer selection.
• Because of the malt in the beer, most of these fudges are likely to be chewier than traditional fudge.
• Fudge-making is very climate-dependent. It takes longer to set if there's more humidity in the air. So if the weather outside is frightful, consider saving it for another day.

You know Instagram must be quaking in their boots when their most popular user is threatening to quit the social media service. Kim Kardashian reportedly might leave and take her followers with her.

The photo app had been a big hit with Twitter- and smartphone-loving celebrities until they changed their terms of service this week. Their new terms include using personal photographs in advertising campaigns without paying the users for their images.

After a public outcry, the company has backtracked about the "confusing" wording in the new privacy policy. Instagram plans on revising the language soon.

Even with the public apology, that didn't stop Kardashian from tweeting on Tuesday, "I really loved Instagram :-( I need to review this new policy. I don't think it's fair."

While this might not seem like a big deal to the average person, it is a big deal to Instagram who was bought by Facebook in April of this year. As TMZ cleverly pointed out, "..if Kim goes ... her family members could follow ... and Khloe, Kylie, Kendall and Rob are also in the Top 10 most-followed on the site."

As the most popular member of Instagram, Kim overshadows the #2 position held by Justin Bieber. The young pop star has over 4.3 million followers in comparison to Kardashian's over 5.7 million followers. Her fans swarm to the site to view the suggestive photos she posts on a daily basis.

Right now, a source tells TMZ that the reality star is going to wait until the revised policy is out before she makes a final decision. Kardashian wants "radical changes," so let's see if the photo-sharing app complies with the E! star's demands.

The steamy new trailer for Tyler Perry's latest film, Temptation, is out today. In the movie, Kim Kardashian plays the office rival to the film's main character, Judith . We get to see Kim in the first minute or so of the trailer, and well, it's pretty bad. Kardashian seems awkward as she churns out her lines. From the trailer, it seems Kim criticizes Judith on everything from her wardrobe to her career ambitions. Tyler Perry defends the decision to cast Kardashian in Temptation. Perry devoted an entire blog post back in Nov. 2011 titled, "Kim Kardashian in the Marriage Counselor" and explained Kardashian was cast to draw in a younger audience whom he feels "needs to see this!!!"

Perry wrote: "I knew this message was not only for my age group, but for all audiences, especially the youth. Especially the youth!! Young folks need to see this!!! And not just the young people that follow me, but the young people that are following other young people as well... [Kim Kardashian] literally has millions of young people following her. I thought and still do think, that it would be very responsible of her to be a part of this film. To have the young people that look up to her see her in a film that is about what happens in life when you make the wrong choices."

First Ashley Judd, then Stephen Colbert. It seems like celebrity's names are being thrown about a lot lately as possible future politicians. The latest name on that list is Ben Affleck, who has been very involved in Washington his entire career.

"If you were casting a young charismatic politician, you could do worse than Ben Affleck, who, by the way, played just that in the movie State of Play," said Entertainment Weekly. "But for Affleck, politics have always been more than just a a role to play. Back in 2004, he lent his celebrity and charm to John Kerry's presidential bid, and the next year, some Virginia Democrats reportedly wanted Affleck to take on incumbent Republican senator George Allen. Though he obviously did not run then, he's never closed the door on a future in politics, and his passion has been showcased in his multiple appearances on Real Time With Bill Maher."

But with Massachusetts senator John Kerry possibly leaving his post soon , that may leave an open seat. And with Affleck's involvement in politics , it's looking very possible he could be the next senator from the state. He was in Washington this week and answered some questions about the possibilities.

"That's not what I'm here to talk about," he told Politico, according to EW.

"One never knows. I'm not one to get into conjecture," Affleck told Bob Shieffer in an as yet un-aired interview, said EW. "I do have a great fondness and admiration for the political process in this country. It's a big deal for me to come down here and be on your show that I've watched so much, but I'm not going to get into speculation about my political future."

Affleck was in Washington to speak to Congress about his Eastern Congo Initiative, which he founded in 2010. The rumor was strengthened when Affleck met with Kerry during his visit to town.

Holy smokes! ABC knows how to kick some Christmas butt. This year's CMA Country Christmas has, quite possibly, the best line-up ever. Plus, it's hosted by the very lovely Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland.

Tonight's show will be loaded to the brim with Christmas music. While we're all in agreement that any Christmas music is excellent music, it can get even better if it's performed by the right people. The CMA and ABC sure did lasso up all the right people too. We're promised performances from Lady Antebellum, Dierks Bentley, The Band Perry, Little Big Town and Keith Urban. Plus, there will be songs from country music's long-time sweetheart, Martina McBride, and pop music's beach girl, Colbie Caillat, as well as Katherine Jenkins and Scotty McCreery. Oh my! Add the smooth and soulful voice of the amazing John Legend. Sweet!

Justin Bieber is in trouble with an animal rights group for something he probably considered just a nice gesture. The singer was at the Jingle Ball on Wednesday, Dec. 15, when he suddenly handed down a present to a fan in the crowd and told her, "That's all you."

In any other case, this would probably be a thrill, but the fan was suddenly in the middle of a large crowd with a live animal in her hands. Yes, the present was Bieber's pet hamster.

"You gotta take care of PAC," Bieber told the girl at the time, to which she responded , "I will take care of him!"

"Funny... PAC the hamster has his own Twitter account — with over 40,000 followers — and his last tweet was on Wednesday... 'ATL this is gonna be fun,'" said TMZ. "Poor guy never saw it comin'."

But it looks like a few people were not amused by the stunt. The California Hamster Association has come out saying that "Justin Bieber issued a death sentence to his pet hamster PAC when he gave it away to a screaming fan."

The group told TMZ that Bieber's gift was an act of "animal cruelty" and that hamsters "often succumb quickly to illness and death." The animals also don't deal well with "sudden environmental change."

"The moment that hamster was handed off to a screaming girl in a harsh, frenzied environment was likely the moment it gazed at the short path to its doom," the group told TMZ.

They added that if he didn’t want PAC any more, he should have given it to a shelter or someone else whom he knew would care for the animal. But the fan, an 18-year-old named Tori, has since posted photos with the hamster saying she is treating it well.

And really, who will treat an animal better than a super-fan? Any chance to give Justin Bieber a reason to visit your house may be reason enough to make sure the animal is safe.

Bieber has not responded to CHA's claims.

While Jersey Shore fans will be wiping tears away as Snooki and the gang say goodbye in the series finale airing Thursday night, a recent photo of the new mom and bestie JWoww has people talking.

Appearing at The X Factor season finale performances show taping on Wednesday, Snooki and JWoww happily posed for photographers. Though both Jersey Shore stars wore heels, Jenni "JWoww" Farley towered over her red-headed friend.

Curious how tall JWoww and Snooki each are? Reportedly the brunette, who is engaged to marry Roger Matthews, is 5 feet 7 inches, while Snooki comes in at a diminutive 4 feet 8 inches. That's nearly a foot difference between the two!

Sizes aside, both young ladies have mixed emotions about seeing their Jersey Shore days come to an end.

"I'm definitely ready to move on," Snooki told E! News. "But it does suck because it's what started everything. We're always going to be a family, no matter what."

"We're sad because we are a family,"JWoww chimed in, adding, "It's easy to get together especially working with MTV, but we have to move on with our lives. Engagements, babies."

"I'll be honest with you, it may be starting to hit me right now," Mike Sorrentino shared. "I'm never anxious or nervous and this is the first moment where I'm like, 'Wow. It's over.' But at the same time, it's bittersweet and the sweet part is that we are a part of something that was so special."

Sharing she's grown too old to party like she used to, Deena Cortese commented, "I just feel like all of us have grown and moved on with our lives. I'll always be a meatball, don't get me wrong, but I think it gets tiring. I can't drink like I used to drink and do what I used to do two years ago. I'm kind of, in a way, happy it's ending."

Lady Gaga's gifts to the victim of a school shooting in Baltimore have made many, many people happy.

The father of Daniel Borowy, a teen with Down Syndrome who was shot at his Baltimore high school in late August, is now thanking the singer for making his son's dreams come true.

A post on the Facebook group page "Lady Gaga Please Visit Daniel," which boasts an impressive 33,477 fans, explains just how touched the family is by Lady Gaga's thoughtful gifts.

"I would like to start by thanking everyone for their thoughts and prayers for Daniel," the boy's father wrote, sharing that the victims of the Connecticut school shooting have been on the family's mind.

"With everything that is going on I was waiting for an appropriate time to share this information and feel that maybe we need some good news!"

"With that said I would like to share that he has received a package from Lady Gaga," Daniel Borowy's father continued. "It is pretty cool that someone in her position took the time to make a complete stranger happy."

Gaga's generous gifts for the shooting victim included T-shirts, CDs, a personally autographed message to Danny, a picture and two tickets to her upcoming concert. Front row tickets, nonetheless!

Expressing the family's thanks, Daniel's father added, "To see the smile on his face is overwhelming. Thank you Lady Gaga and thank you to everyone who had a hand in making this happen!!"
