Kristin Chenoweth & hot country boys delivered at the ACAs

The American Country Awards were Monday night in Las Vegas, Nevada. We break down the star-studded, fun awards show for all those who missed the broadcast.

The American Country Awards show recap.

The American Country Awards were a fun and glamorous affair in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Monday night. After it's all said and done, there's no doubt Kristin Chenoweth stole the show along with those really cute country singers.

Country hottie Luke Bryan opens the American Country Awards

Luke Bryan opened the show for the American Country Awards in Las Vegas, Nevada. Bryan looked great in his leather jacket and tight black jeans but his performance seemed a little weak to us — maybe it just seemed too obvious he wasn't really singing. Also, the song choice of "Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye" was not our first pick but it wasn't bad. We would have preferred something a bit more up-tempo. However, given that "Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye" is Bryan's latest number one hit, we understand the rationale.

Kristin Chenoweth is funny, like really funny

There's something about Kristin Chenoweth that is naturally funny. Plus, her laugh is contagious. The American Country Awards had a few skits with Chenoweth, one of which involved her dressing room filled with custom-made miniature furniture to make fun of her petite stature. The side-by-side comparison of Trace Adkins and Kristin Chenoweth made for great television. Chenoweth seemed far more natural in front of the camera and delivered her lines with a knack for comedic timing and tone.

Also, Kristin Chenoweth dressed up like Honey Boo Boo. Was the irony lost on the American Country Awards crowd?

Dierks Bentley sounds great live

Unlike Luke Bryan tonight, Dierks Bentley sounds great live. His performance seemed a bit less pop and a little more country. Bentley performed his latest hit "Country & Cold Cans," which the crowd went wild for and loved every minute of his performance.

Lauren Alaina wins New Artist of the Year

With her infectious hit "Georgia Peaches,"Lauren Alaina is posed for country superstardom. The former American Idol contestant not only made our American Country Awards best-dressed list, Alaina nabbed New Artist of the Year in Las Vegas. The 18-year-old gave a heartfelt, overwhelmed speech and truly seemed honored to win. Congratulations, Alaina!

Trace Adkins performed with Lynyrd Skynyrd

Well, this took me back — to when I wasn't even born. Trace Adkins performed with Lynyrd Skynyrd and it was really, really country. The performance was great, but I have to admit Trace Adkins took a backseat to Lynyrd Skynyrd, and that was probably for the best. Great guitar solos and awesome vocal performances livened up the show right in the middle when it was starting to get a bit dull.

Luke Bryan takes home 7 American Country Awards

While Luke Bryan took home seven awards, there were other winners as well. Find out who else took home trophies at the 2012 American Music Awards?

Luke Bryan

The 2012 American Country Awards were a mix of returning veterans and newcomers. Most of the winners were familiar names, although there were a few fresh faces on the winner list.

While it would be easy to say that Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott’s brand new pregnancy was good luck for the group at Monday’s American Country Awards, that wouldn’t be giving them nearly enough credit. Lady Antebellum ended up winning two awards, including Group Artist of the Year and Group Single of the Year

The Best New Artist category is always an important sign of things to come. Last year’s winner Scotty McCreery helped present the award to fellow American Idol alum Lauren Alaina. She was up against tough competition, with names like Pistol Annies, Hunter Hayes, Jana Kramer and Kip Moore. Alaina looked genuinely shocked when accepting her award, and started crying on stage. Jake Owen took home the award for Breakthrough Artist of the Year.

Taylor Swift took home no awards for the night, which didn’t seem out of place for some reason since she didn’t show up. But she was up for five awards, which is pretty significant. Carrie Underwood beat her to Female Artist of the Year, Luke Bryan won Artist of the Year, Miranda Lambert won Female Single of the Year and Female Music Video of the Year and Jason Aldean took home Touring Artist of the Year.

Underwood also took home the award for Best Vocal Collaboration along with Brad Paisley.

Luke Bryan was the big winner of the night, though. The singer won seven awards, including Male Single of the Year, Single of the Year, Male Artist of the Year, Artist of the Year, Male Music Video of the Year, Music Video of the Year and Album of the Year.

Trace Adkins and Kristin Chenoweth create eclectic American Country Awards

The ACAs couldn't have chosen two more different hosts for the 2012 awards, but it turns out opposites might attract.

Trace Adkins

While we love Kristin Chenoweth, the choice as a host for a country award show seemed like a weird one. But, Chenoweth took the position and ran with it. The 2012 American Country Awards started with a skit by co-host Trace Adkins and Chenoweth, showcasing their difference in sizes , followed by him carrying her out on stage in a baby sling.

The co-hosts had a fun, but just innocent enough, flirty rapport all night. Adkins brought enough country to the show for both of them, and Chenoweth made sure the energy was up all night.

The world of Twitter seemed to be split, at least on Chenoweth. Because the viewers are country fans, many weren't sure what to do with her. There were many others who didn't even know who she was.

Adkins lived up to his reputation by performing during the ceremony. He took the stage with members of Lynyrd Skynyrd to sing their hit "What's Your Name?" Chenoweth introduced him by saying that when you think southern rock, the first artist you think of is Justin Bieber, a joke the audience didn't seem to appreciate . But, she quickly recovered by introducing Adkins with the band.

Shortly after the performance, Chenoweth came back onstage dressed as Honey Boo Boo. Adkins looked confused and disturbed at the same time, but he went along with it.

The hosts also introduced a Twitter contest between the two of them to see who would be dressed as Santa and who would be dressed as an elf. Fans had to use the correct hashtag to vote on whom they wanted to win .

A little later in the show, Adkins was playing his guitar onstage when he realized Chenoweth was in his guitar case. She said they were supposed to do a magic trick and he forgot about her.

"Brad Paisley would never, ever, ever do that to Carrie Underwood," said Chenoweth.

Chenoweth then got onstage and gave her own performance of a song called "WWDD," or "What Would Dolly Do?"

It seemed that Chenoweth was a little out of place throughout the night, but she pushed through it and did the best she could. Adkins seemed right where he feels comfortable, because it is his industry and his people. The crowd seemed to love everything he did, and the ACAs made a great choice for the night.

Twitter fans vote to put Trace Adkins in tights

The ACA co-hosts took to Twitter to have their fans vote. It turns out, both sides were Trace Adkins fans.

Kristin ChenowethAmerican Country Awards hosts Kristin Chenoweth and Trace Adkins started a Twitter war Monday night when they had fans tweet which of the co-hosts they'd rather see as a Santa, and which they'd prefer to see as an elf. The directions given were to tweet to #KristinSanta or #TraceSanta, depending who they'd like to see wear the Santa suit.

Trace Adkins' tweets were mostly about how they'd like to see him as Santa. And some of the messages became a little graphic.

@Snowden86 tweeted, "@ACAINSIDER I wanna see #TraceSanta! I mean want woman wouldn't wanna sit on his lap!"

The sentiment was far from original though, as many women came up with the same idea during the contest.

"Watching the ACA and I gotta say I'm gonna vote #TraceSanta because he'd make a good looking Santa. hahaha:-D," @stargirlshiane tweeted.

Other Adkins fans were a little less direct. They still thought he would make a great Santa, but they would be okay with him dressing either way.

@Cortney_LaShae tweeted, "#tracesanta although a giant elf would be awesome (:"

While Adkins' tweets were mostly about why they'd love to see him as Santa, Chenoweth's tweets were mostly about why they'd love to see Adkins as an elf.

@_ericakcadwell_ tweeted, "#KristinSanta cause who wouldn't love to see @traceadkins in tights?"

That sentiment made up a large part of the comments about Chenoweth, but most of the rest were Trace Adkins-related as well.

"@acainsider Kristin would make an adorable elf but I'm up for a good laugh! #KristinSanta," said @Blon_D81.

Other fans chimed in but felt that the hosts were both good enough to be happy either way.

@inga_bee wrote, "Both would be hot! #KristinSanta #TraceSanta."

In the end, the Kristin Chenoweth fans won, and she ended up dressing as Santa. But really, they were less Chenoweth fans and more Trace Adkins-as-an-elf fans, because it seemed to be all about what he would wear. And the country singer did end up wearing tights.

Gossip Girl's words of wisdom

Over the years, Gossip Girl has delighted us with pithy wisdom and juicy info. We spent the weekend watching Gossip Girl on DVD, scouring fansites and weeding through the goods, all so we could present you with the Girl's most valuable insights and amusing advice.

Gossip Girl Cast- Who's Gossip Girl?Season 5

"Camus said that life is the sum of our choices. Choose wisely and fortune smiles upon you. But choose poorly? You never know what price you'll have to pay."

Ignoring the fact that this would be one seriously long text message, it's still some decent advice about considering your options. Of course, the cynic might also point out that it's mostly just vague and foreboding. We're all bound to make the wrong choice from time to time. All Gossip Girl and Camus have done is add more stress to our decision-making process.

Season 4

"They say love is the best medicine... unless you don't take it."

Here's why we love this: It's so relevant to Gossip Girl. Each of the characters has faced their fair share of trials and tribulations. Yes, they could also use a lesson from Oprah about learning how to stand on their own two feet, but at the same time, it's the love they share as friends that always pulls them through the storm.

Season 3

"Forget the grand entrance. Everyone knows that it's the exit they'll remember."

Which are you more likely to remember: The first song of a concert or the last song in the encore? We remember what's freshest in our minds. Skip showing up fashionably late. This New Year's Eve, be the girl blustering out of the party fashionably early.

Season 2

"Some endings take a long time to reveal themselves. But when they do, they're almost too easy to ignore. Some beginnings start so quietly, you don't even notice they're happening. But most endings come when you least expect them. And what they portend is darker than you've ever imagined. Not all beginnings are cause for celebration. A lot of bad things begin: fights, flu season and the worst thing of all... Want to be starting something?"

Not so much wisdom or advice as just a sage observation, it's worth keeping in mind. Pay attention. Sometimes we're so caught up in one ending, we don't notice a new beginning. We can also get so carried away by just the idea of something beginning that we miss clear signs as to how it will end.

Season 1

"One good scandal deserves another."

So typically Gossip Girl. Scandals are like movie diversions and quick getaways — you can't have one without the other. All the best escapes and all the best scandals turn out to be two-fold.

Of course, there is one very big fallback to this advice: We have no idea who's giving it. Who are you more likely to listen to? Blair? Serena? Darota? Or a perfect stranger?

Put saucepan over medium heat, add chocolate to bowl and stir until chocolate is melted. This method of cooking helps the chocolate melt without burning. To microwave your chocolate, add to microwave safe bowl and cook on high stiring every 15 seconds. It should take a 2 to 3 minutes for your chocolate to be completely melted.

In a pickle: How to cook several dishes with one oven

With the holidays in full bloom, most of us host a big meal at least once at our place. When multiple dishes are involved, it can be stressful planning when to cook each dish when you only have one oven.
Woman cooking dinner in stove

With the holidays in full bloom, most of us host a big meal at least once. When multiple dishes are involved, it can be stressful planning when to cook each dish when you only have one oven.

Cooking with one oven

We all wish we had a stainless steel double oven, paired with a fancy fridge and granite countertops. And while we're wishing, why not include a personal chef to prepare all this food? The reality for most of us is that we only have one oven, and it can get stressful when multiple dishes need to be cooked, warmed and ready to eat all at the same time.

Can you cook two or more dishes in the oven at once?

Yes. Most people fret when it comes to cooking two dishes at once, but it's your ovens' job to keep the internal temperature set to what you selected. It may have to work a little harder when two or more cold dishes are inserted, but trust that it will do its job. The dishes will typically take 15 percent longer to cook than if only one is cooking, so adjust the time accordingly. To ensure even cooking, make sure the oven is fully preheated before inserting dishes and rotate the dishes halfway through.

Check out our recipe for the perfect beef tenderloin>>

Can you cook one dish and bake another simultaneously?

Yes, but there are some guidelines you'll need to follow. First, baked goods are not flexible when it comes to temperature. Preheat the oven to what the baked good needs to be at. Most cooked dishes are flexible when it comes to temperature — this includes meats, veggies, casseroles, baked potatoes and the like. It may take a little less or more time for the cooked dish to be done, but it will turn out the same. Baked goods are more of a science and each variable needs to be precise. Second, make sure the meat doesn't have a strong flavor, such as garlic. If that's the case, it's best to cook the items separately so the flavors don't cross over.

Tips for cooking multiple dishes

  • Meat is the most flexible. Technically, meat can cook at any temperature until it's done. The lower the temperature, the longer it will take and the juicier it will be. If cooking multiple dishes, set the temperature to what the nonmeat dish requires.
  • Meat stays hot for a while. Large roasts, such as a ham or turkey, will stay hot for an hour after coming out of the oven. Plan on cooking smaller side dishes during this time.
  • Most ovens have a 25 degree variance. If one dish needs to be cooked at 350 degrees and another at 400 degrees, set the oven for 375. Most ovens are off by about 25 degrees anyway, so as long as it's set "around" the required temperature, the dish will turn out fine.
  • Arrange the dishes so there is enough space between them. Air should be able to circulate between all the dishes, so space them out accordingly.

Ice-T has been "disrespected" by wife Coco Austin. In the wake of racy photos of the reality star cuddling up with another man hitting the web, a public apology has been issued. Should he accept?

Ice-T and Coco

Ice-T and Coco are making headline news for all the wrong reasons. After a series of photos of the model and rapper AP.9 getting cozy in Vegas hit the web, the Law & Order: SVU actor temporarily lost his cool.

"Most of [the pics are] disrespectful and in bad taste," Ice-T tweeted after seeing multiple pictures of Coco and AP.9 nearly smooching. "She's made me look and feel like s**t."

In one image Coco's bright red lips are pressed to AP.9's cheek, while in another his mouth is on her collarbone. A third image shows him kissing her on the cheek while standing behind her with his arms wrapped around her waist.

Despite being obviously upset, the 54-year-old reality star later deleted his original Twitter comments.

Coco Austin initially did little to help make amends with her husband of nearly 11 years.

"Woke up to people in a panic about some pics," she tweeted, downplaying the photographs. "Please guys, I'm happily married, sometimes fans & friends take silly pics. It's harmless."

Coco Austin's top four WTF fashion moments>>

Realizing later that this scandal wasn't about to go away, she added, "Ice is right, the pics I took with this man were in poor taste & I disrespected my husband. However the pics were the only thing that happened."

"I feel so sad. The bottom line is I love Ice & I can understand why he's upset," the 33-year-old added. "There's no excuse for my actions. I'm so sorry baby & to everyone."

Ice-T and Coco are set to celebrate their eleventh wedding anniversary on Dec. 31.

Do you think Ice should forgive Coco for the AP.9 photos?

In the U.S., Ashkenazic Jewish foods are the most well known. This Hanukkah, look to Sephardic Jewish traditions to revitalize your holiday menu.

Beyond latkes

Sephardic Jews are originally from the Mediterranean and Iberian Peninsula, hailing from places like Greece and Spain. After the Spanish Inquisition, Jews were expelled from Spain, and so the Sephardic community was dispersed and many ended up in Turkey, and as far as Africa. Where Ashkenazic Jews traditionally spoke Yiddish, Sephardic Jews spoke Ladino, a hybrid of Spanish, Hebrew and a number of other languages.

Sephardic foods differ greatly from their Ashkenazic cousins, reflecting their Mediterranean heritage. For Hanukkah, Sephardic Jews also celebrate with menorahs and fried foods, but the recipes differ. Here are a few favorites to inspire you this Hanukkah.

Keftes de prasas

Whereas kofte, popular in Turkey and the Middle East, are meatballs, Sephardic keftes are more like patties and very often do not contain meat. Keftes de prasas, or leek patties, are one of the most popular varieties and are eaten at Rosh Hashanah, Hanukkah and Passover . Recipe below.

Get tips for hosting the ultimate Hanukkah party>>

Bimuelos

Probably the most traditional Sephardic Hanukkah food, bimuelos are fried dough puffs. As Claudia Roden writes in The Book of Jewish Food, "Bimuelos is the Judeo-Spanish name for the little flour-and-yeast fritters. In Egypt, where they were sold on the street, they were called 'zalabia,' and in Iraq, Persia and India they were 'zengoula.' All over the Middle East they were eaten at Hanukkah." Whatever you want to call them, these sweet dumplings will steal the show at any meal.

Sfenj

Deriving from the Arabic word for sponge, sfenj are North African yeast doughnuts. The Jews of Morocco, Libya and Tunisia make them on Hanukkah as they are fried in oil. Some recipes call for orange zest to be mixed into the dough, others dip them in honey at the end and others sprinkle them with powdered sugar. However you enjoy them, sfenj are irresistible.

Wanna know how The Walking Dead's zombie outbreak started? The creator says, "Too bad." But, he offers up some other outbreak-centered options.

The Walking Dead zombie mob

The Walking Dead's executive producer, Robert Kirkman, is actually a lot nicer about it than that. But, we imagine he must get tired of hearing how badly viewers want to see scenes from the zombie outbreak and probably wishes he could answer with a little more bite.

"I don't find that interesting at all,"Kirkman told TVGuide.com. "In zombie fiction, you see the outbreak, you see the first days and the craziness in almost every other story told in this realm. I'm very proud of the fact that, for the most part, The Walking Dead has skipped over that part."

The Walking Dead Rick with a walkerThe Walking Dead, now in its third season, has become a breakout sensation for AMC. The show follows the lives of a gang of friends and family as they fight to survive during a zombie apocalypse. Viewers have seen faces eaten off, hands sawed off and legless corpses using their arms to crawl around. What they haven't seen, though, is how it all began.

They've actually seen very few early scenes at all. The first scene of the show was pre-zombie outbreak, when Sheriff Rick is shot by some car thieves. Later into the series, we're invited into the madness as Rick's partner, Shane, helped Rick's wife, Lori, and son, Carl, pack up and escape the zombies. The Walking Dead prefers to stay in the present, following the rag-tag gang of survivors as they fend off the undead.

While Kirkman has no plans to ever explore the outbreak, he has a few suggestions for The Walking Dead viewers who are new to the world of zombies and want to know what a zombie outbreak looks like.

"Go watch Zach Snyder's Dawn of the Dead movie to see the early days of this," Kirkman suggests. "Or Shawn of the Dead does it really well."

Whether we ever see a The Walking Dead version of the outbreak or not seems irrelevant at this point. Viewers of the show are already attached to the characters, even without knowing how it all began. What do you think, though? Do you want to see a The Walking Dead prequel?

Cougar Town actress Busy Phillips tells the world she's pregnant by tweeting a photo of her pregnancy test.

BusyPhillipsPregnant

Apparently, Twitter is the only way to announce news these days for celebrities. Hollywood is using the social media platform to let the world know that a baby is born, they hate their ex-husband's wife, and that they are expecting by showing off a photo of the Clear Blue pregnancy test.

Yes, Cougar Town actress, Busy Philipps did just that on Monday, telling all of her followers that she is expecting her second baby. She accompanied her Tweet, "So this happened…," with a picture of the test stick.

Is it too much information or is it the perfect way to control the media for a celebrity? Given the reaction from the rest of her followers, it was just perfect.

On Tuesday, she tweeted, "Thanks for all the sweet words and warm wishes today! It's been really nice to read them! Birdie is, indeed, super excited to be a big sis.."

The 33-year-old has been married to screenwriter Marc Silverstein since 2007. They had their first child, daughter Birdie, four years ago.

It is pretty clear that Philipps takes the role of motherhood very seriously. She told Life & Style in 2008, "I always tell Birdie that I'm so lucky because I have two jobs that I love," Philipps added. "The first job is being her mother and that's the most important job."

She had plenty of practice before she gave birth to her first daughter with her best friend, actress Michelle Williams, naming her godmother to her daughter with the late Heath Ledger. The two co-starred on Dawson's Creek together back in the '90s and have been best friends ever since.

It looks like 2013 will be a great year for Philipps since she will have a growing family and her show, Cougar Town, returns to the airwaves on a new network, TBS .

Charlie Sheen has turned his life around in a very short amount of time, and now it appears he hopes to do the same for others. He sent a check to a police officer he met who was talking about his sick daughter.

Charlie Sheen

Charlie Sheen is feeling very generous these days. It was recently reported that he gave $100,000 to Lindsay Lohan for her tax problems, and now it looks like he has also donated money to someone maybe a little more deserving than Lohan. The donation went to a sick 10-year-old girl in California.

"Charlie Sheen recently donated $75,000 to a fund dedicated to helping 10-year-old Jasmine Faulk fight Childhood Rhabdomyosarcoma, a form of cancer that affects striated muscle," said Entertainment Weekly. "Jasmine’s father is a police officer in Hermosa Beach. Calif. Sheen’s stunt double Eddie Braun also got in on the act, donating $25,000 in Jasmine’s honor."

The disease is a muscle disease that requires long-term treatment. According to TMZ, the actor was speaking with Faulk’s father when he heard about Jasmine and decided to make the donation.

"No parent should have to watch their kid go through that," he reportedly told Faulk’s father, the day before sending the check.

"We're told the family is extremely grateful for the donation and is hopeful his actions will inspire others to join the fight against CR," said TMZ.

Sheen hasn’t made a big deal about the donation and, according to his rep, it’s nothing new for him.

"This is one of many charitable donations that Charlie frequently makes," Sheen’s rep told EW.

Sheen has made a quick turnaround since his weird behavior regarding Two and a Half Men and is looking like the normal one compared to everyone around him. His ex-wife Brooke Mueller recently entered rehab and, according to E! News, his other ex-wife Denise Richards is currently caring for Mueller and Sheen’s twin boys, Bob and Max.

"This isn't the first time the boys have stayed with Denise for a length of time," a source told E! News. "Denise would do anything for those kids."

Sheen is currently starring in Anger Management.

Elin Nordegren kicks off the new year with a new home away from the limelight and the scandal of her ex-husband, Tiger Woods.

ElinNordegrenHouse

English poet George Hebert said, "Living well is the best revenge," and apparently he is right, if you look at Elin Nordegren's new life.

The ex-wife of famed golfer, Tiger Woods, is nearing completion on her new Florida mansion. The 32-year-old purchased the property in March 2011 after her divorce from Woods was finalized.

The ex-model received $100 million in the divorce settlement from the Masters Tournament winner and she promptly scooped up an envious piece of land to start her life over. The house is located on the waterfront in North Palm Beach.

She paid $12.2 million for the home which had two storeys and over 17,000 square feet. The house was demolished to make way for her dream home. The new place boasts 21,000 square feet plus a spa, an Olympic pool, and several koi ponds, according to Us Weekly.

The Swedish-born blonde has two children with the golfer, daughter Sam, 5, and son Charlie, 3. Their marriage ended in 2010 after Woods's spectacular fall from grace. He was caught in a cheating scandal that involved women from all over the country and over a dozen women admitted to an affair with her husband, including main mistress, Rachel Uchitel.

The Swede only did one interview with People back in August 2010 telling the magazine about her ex-husband's affairs, "The word betrayal isn't strong enough. I felt like my whole world had fallen apart."

Since then, Nordegren has put the past behind her as she moves towards the future of raising her children and staying out of the limelight.

Was Dustin Lynch nervous for his debut at the American Country Awards on Monday night? If he was, he didn't act like it!

It's been a year of firsts for Cowboys and Angels newcomer Dustin Lynch— and he added another one on Monday night at the American Country Awards. Lynch, 27, talked to SheKnows on the red carpet and revealed that he still hadn't met his co-presenter for the show, Carmen Electra.

Was he nervous? Not at all!

"It'll be a fun first date," he joked to SheKnows. "Our first date will be on camera in front of millions of people. We'll see how awkward it'll be."

We just hope Electra's rumored beau Simon Cowell didn't see any of that. We all know what happens when you get on his bad side!

Lynch has a lot ahead of him in 2013 — he'll first head out on tour with Justin Moore and will then open for Keith Urban and Little Big Town for the rest of the year. So, how pumped is he to tour with an icon like Urban?

"I'm so excited,"Keith's been one of the artists in my life I've watched growing up and for him to be the first guy to endorse me and my music is so cool. He's one of my heroes."

As for Little Big Town?

"I'm going to learn a lot from all of them," he added.

But first comes the holidays. Lynch has been in work mode all year promoting his music — including the just-released follow-up single "She Cranks My Tractor" — and he's ready for the holidays. So, what's topping his Christmas list this year? A trip to somewhere warm and "a full night's rest."

"You can tell, I just need it," he joked.

Adele might add Oscar to her (long) list of awards

Many wondered if Adele's theme song for Skyfall was original enough, but it looks like it is. It has been added to the list of possible songs to be nominated in the Original Song category.

Adele

When those behind Skyfall hired Adele to help write the theme song for the newest James Bond film, there was always the hope of an Oscar nomination. And because the song was written specifically for the movie, many are wondering why there has been a question if it would be allowed in the Original Song category.

"Adele’s title theme to Skyfall surged to #1 on iTunes just days after debuting in October, but some feared the number by her and Paul Epworth would be ruled ineligible for the Oscar because it incorporates elements of the classic 007 theme, which of course is not original," said Entertainment Weekly.

But the list of possible Oscar contenders has been released and it looks like the singer may be able to add that Oscar to her list of awards.

"The music branch of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences decided it was not a significant enough problem to boot it from the potential nominees, and included it without comment in its list of songs that could collect an Oscar on Feb. 24," said EW.

There are 75 original songs up for consideration for the Original Song Academy Award, and based on the songs that made the cut, there could be some interesting nominees this year.

"The new lullaby-esque love song 'Suddenly' from Les Miserables makes the cut, of course," said Entertainment Weekly. "And the list of eligible songs also includes Neil Finn’s 'Song of the Lonely Mountain' from The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, Frankenweenie‘s 'Strange Love', performed by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ Karen O., and Katy Perry’s 'Wide Awake' from her film Part of Me."

Four songs from Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained also made the cut.

The nominations for this year’s Academy Awards will be released on Jan. 15 next year. The Oscars will take place on Feb. 24.

Anne Hathaway's wardrobe malfunction

Les Miserables actress Anne Hathaway proves that you can have a bad night on the red carpet as her Tom Ford dress exposes her private parts.

AnneHathawayPrivateParts

The poor girl is just trying to get an Oscar nomination but instead she gets a wardrobe malfunction. That was actress Anne Hathaway's night on the red carpet as she hit the New York premiere of her new film, Les Miserables.

It is pretty common for celebrities to leave their panties at home when they wear couture gowns, but her black Tom Ford gown betrayed Hathaway last night. As she was gracefully trying to get out of her limo, the thigh-high slit revealed her private parts. Of course, the cameras were all there to document that moment.

The photo has been making the rounds all over the internet. The more tasteful sites are covering up her exposure with a blurred out photo while other sites were clever to add a Les Mis poster to cover up, proving there is no such thing as bad publicity.

The 30-year-old newlywed was clearly unaware of what was happening when she exited the vehicle. In the photo, she tried to exit the SUV gracefully as a security guard offered his hand to guide her feet to the ground.

Despite the gaffe, the actress rocked the red carpet with her gorgeous gown, gamine hair and stunning bondage-style boots to create a dramatic look not often seen from her.

Hathaway is hoping for two Oscar nominations this year, not only for Les Mis, but also for her turn as Catwoman in The Dark Knight Rises. She will have to wait to find out her fate as the Academy Award nominations won't be announced until Jan. 10.

In the meantime, keep those private parts under wraps!

Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley — better known as the duo Florida Georgia Line — told SheKnows all about their beginner's luck in Las Vegas before the American Country Awards.

Everyone's got a story of their first trip to Las Vegas, but very few can say their first time in Sin City was for the American Country Awards. Well, new country duo Florida Georgia Line are two members of that select group. The adorable twosome talked to SheKnows about their luck at the tables.

"We flew in yesterday afternoon," Tyler Hubbard said on the red carpet before the show. "Ran around the casino acting like idiots a bit, it was a good time."

So, did they win any money? Hubbard said he lost, but buddy Brian Kelley made a little change.

"I got lucky last night," Kelley recalled with pride. "Our manager was sitting next to us and he kinda coached me along."

Hopefully some of that luck will rub off on their careers — though they don't seem to need it. The pair — who caught attention with their first number one single "Cruise"— went on their first big tour with Jake Owen over the fall.

Were they scared to tour with such a superstar? Not at all — they even played a practical joke on the new dad, complete with diapers and pacifiers.

David Nail wants a baby, envies Taylor Swift >>

"We had to get Jake a little bit with his new baby," they joked. All kidding aside, they have nothing but good things to say about their tour partner.

"Him and his crew opened up everything to us," Kelley said.

Now they're going to take that knowledge with them when they hit the road with Luke Bryan and Thompson Square for the Dirt Road Diaries tour in 2013.
