Yolanda Foster upset with 3 RHOBH women for not believing she has Lyme disease

A source told Radar Online that Foster is gearing up to start filming again in the next few weeks and she’s ready to take on the haters — three, in particular.

“Since having her breast implants removed, Yolanda has had a huge improvement in her overall health. But she still suffers from Lyme disease,” the insider revealed.

She was beyond hurt after finding out that some of the ladies were asking a lot of questions and even suggesting that she didn’t even have it. She was particularly upset with Kyle Richards and Lisa Rinna for not sticking up for her when she wasn’t around, and now she is ready to spill all of their dirty secrets!

“Yolanda plans on having heated words with Taylor Armstrong because she wasn’t even around at the height of her illness,” the source said.

Luckily for Foster, she now has the energy to defend herself.

“Yolanda is now firing on all cylinders again,” said the source. “You don’t want to mess with her! She will use RHOBH to continue to raise awareness for Lyme disease, and finding a cure. She doesn’t want anyone else to go through the hell she has.”

Perhaps this is what Foster was hinting at when she posted this recent tweet.

Threats made against women at Toronto university

u of t threat

u of t threat

Historically, online threats against women aren't taken very seriously, but as one reddit commenter pointed out, it appears that maybe because of the high number of people reporting this, both the school and local authorities are taking it very seriously. In a letter from CUPE chair Ryan Culpepper, he confirms that the threats specifically encourage violence and target fellow members in their workplaces. "Specifically mentioned are those working in Sociology and Women's Studies classrooms. The wording and content of the threats are beyond abhorrent and will not be reproduced here.”

"All members, but especially those who identify as women and those who work in the named Departments, should be aware and careful, and of course all of us should look out for one another," his note cautions.

It also appears that a University of Toronto professor sent out an email to students, faculty and staff, informing them that the university is working with Toronto Police Service and Peel Regional Police Services to support the investigation. "We take these threats very seriously and want to ensure that we have a safe campus community," it said.

They have increased campus police presence on three campuses, and are monitoring the situation closely, encouraging everyone to report any suspicious activity to the police at 911 or campus police St George: 416-978-2222, UTM: 905-569-4333, UTSC: 416-287-7333, and to consult the Community Safety Office if you have any concerns about your personal safety.

The university has a variety of safety programs to support students, faculty and staff while on campus see www.safety.utoronto.ca for more information.

The most popular fitness trends in each state

$

If you're one of those rare beings who have never posted about your fitness routine on social media, odds are you follow someone who has or constantly does. But regardless of your personal stance on social media workout updates, one thing is certain: our generation is a little obsessed with being fit — and tweeting about it.

But hey, that’s not necessarily a bad thing. In fact, all those tweets, check-ins and status updates helped researchers at EllipticalReviews.com compose this "Fitness Tweets" study, which breaks down health and fitness trends state by state.

Without further ado, the most tweeted about fitness trends are:

Most tweeted fitness activities

"In our extremely connected world, many people find themselves sharing their day-to-day activities with their social media followers," said Erin Hogg, spokesperson for EllipticalReviews. "We wanted to see which states seem to be working out the most and which workouts are the most popular in the U.S."

So, which states are most guilty of #fitnesstweeting? Well, it probably won’t come as much of a shock, but California, Texas, New York and New Jersey topped the charts. (#GTL, anyone?) The study notes that this most likely has to do with the population density of those areas. Let’s also not forget that Los Angeles and New York City tend to be hubs for active entrepreneurs, models, actors and dancers who are constantly in competition to be on top of their game.

Workout tweets by state

Other parts of this study, however, were a bit more surprising. "We were surprised to see just how much top fitness activities vary by region," Hogg said. "We could really see how much hiking dominates out West, hunting is king in the South, and marathon running is huge in the Midwest and East Coast. It was such a clear divide that we weren’t expecting to see!"

Fitness activity tweets by stats

As you'd probably imagine, a state's climate and geography definitely play a huge role in what types of activities its residents enjoy. "We saw a very high percentage of people in Utah, Colorado and Wyoming enjoying the great outdoors by hiking, while things like yoga, which can be done inside, are very popular for major metropolitan areas," Hogg said. "Running marathons seems to also be a major trend in the Midwest and East Coast — these states also enjoy great weather for this activity."

1. So many kids

American Horror Story: Hotel trailer - kids

Kids play a big role in the video, which makes us wonder if children will also be making a significant appearance in the series.

More: Jessica Lange isn't finished with American Horror Story after all

2. Beware the children?

American Horror Story: Hotel trailer - children

If kids are going to be in the series, will they actually be alive? Not necessarily, judging by some of the ones seen in the video. Last season, fans were terrified by Twisty the clown, but ghost children are much more frightening. Just look at the little ones holding Matt Bomer's hands in this image and try not to scream.

3. Broken family

American Horror Story: Hotel trailer - Chloe Sevigny and Wes Bentley

At the recent Television Critics Association tour, Chloë Sevigny said she and costar Wes Bentley play a couple who are "dealing with a great loss in our family and coming to grips with that among other things." We're speculating that it's the loss of a child and the video shows the couple walking hand in hand and then splitting up, which could mean the loss will do the same to their marriage.

4. Yum, cannibals

American Horror Story: Hotel trailer - bloody blender

A blender full of blood? Oh, yeah, someone is so going to be a cannibal this season. We can feel it.

5. House of horrors

American Horror Story: Hotel trailer - body in mattress

Not that it's a huge surprise, given the series is called American Horror Story, but the body sown up in the mattress certainly gives the clue that this hotel is going to be full of horrors.

6. People get in, but they don't get out

American Horror Story: Hotel trailer - Kathy Bates

Kathy Bates and her creepy set of keys suggest that some people are going to be locked up in the hotel against their will.

7. Denis O'Hare is gorgeous in drag

American Horror Story: Hotel trailer - Denis O'Hare

O'Hare told press at the Television Critics Association tour that he shaved his head for the role of "Liz Taylor, movie icon." Hair or no hair, Ms. Taylor is stunning as she walks through the hallway pulling her cart full of children.

8. Angela Bassett is gonna tie somebody up

American Horror Story: Hotel trailer - Angela Bassett

Also at the TCA tour, Bassett said that her character will be "at odds" with Bomer's character. In the clip, she's seen walking a man in a collar, which leads us to believe that she will have Bomer doing her will.

9. Bomer will be fabulous

American Horror Story: Hotel trailer - Matt Bomer

No matter what happens between him and Bassett's character, one thing we can guarantee — from this image alone — is that he will be amazing this season. He was fantastic last season, as well, but this time we're looking forward to seeing even more of him.

10. A sordid past

American Horror Story: Hotel trailer - laundry

The video contains a brief clip from the '40s, complete with bloody sheets going into the laundry and what looks like bodies (or are those body parts?) wrapped in sheets and being tossed into the laundry chute. Whatever's been going on at this hotel, it's been happening for a long time.

11. Snip, snip

American Horror Story: Hotel trailer - scissors

In another moment, Finn Wittrock's character (male model Tristan Duffy) threateningly holds some scissors at Cheyenne Jackson's character (fashion designer Will Drake). Ouch, that looks like it will hurt.

Jaimie Alexander got her producer fired for a totally deserving reason

More: Move over, JLo: Jaimie Alexander is the new queen of red carpet skin

In a recent interview with People magazine, the Thor star revealed how a gross, handsy producer got too close — and how she got revenge (twice!).

"I've knocked out a producer before," 31-year-old Alexander says in the magazine's latest issue.

And while Alexander plays a skilled fighter on her TV show, Blindspot, and was a competitive wrestler in high school, this incident was almost an accident, not that the producer didn't have it coming.

"It was at this huge work-related party," Alexander explains. "He tried to untie my swimsuit. He was really short. I twisted around and my elbow caught his eye and busted it up."

That probably would have been perfect enough, as far as karma goes. But Alexander, whose new NBC drama premieres later this month, got a second round of payback.

"He was really mad and then he got fired from the company he was at," she says. "He learned his lesson. That was pretty awesome."

If only all sleazy dudes got such instant payback from the universe, the world would definitely be a better place.

It shouldn't be surprising that Alexander, who does her own stunts, pulled off such a badass move.

"I get beaten up pretty bad, but you've just gotta go for it," she said of filming Blindspot.

But while handsy producers don't scare her, there's one thing that does.

"I have a major fear of airplanes, which doesn't make sense because I love helicopters and gliders and everything, but I don't like commercial airlines," she told People. "I was in an almost near plane crash in 2012."

Serena Williams shames reporter for stupid question (VIDEO)

And now at least one of the Williams sisters has just plain had enough and has let her true feelings fly.

On Tuesday, after Serena defeated Venus during the U.S. Open at Flushing Meadows, advancing her to the semifinals, she was at the "cattle call” of a press conference following the match, answering questions, but apparently not to the liking of one journalist. The reporter decided it was totally appropriate to ask her, not about her performance or about her upcoming matches or anything he might ask a male athlete, but about why she wasn’t smiling.

He said, "You just won a match. Normally you smile when you win. You come in here, you laugh. What happens tonight? Is it because you beat Venus or because you’re thinking about what is going on next? What’s wrong?"

This is the equivalent of catcalling a world-class champion.

Serena was clearly exhausted and wasn’t having any of the reporter's shenanigans. She responded with the most brilliant IDGAF response and deserves a slow clap standing ovation.

She responded, "It’s 11:30. To be perfectly honest with you, I don’t want to be here. I just want to be in bed right now and I have to wake up early to practice and I don’t want to answer any of these questions. And you keep asking me the same questions. It’s not really — you’re not making this enjoyable."

More: Serena Williams' New York magazine interview is empowering and inspiring

He tried to keep on going, but Williams shut him down again. Seriously, dude, move on.

The head-to-head record between the two competitive sisters stands at 16-11 in Serena’s favor. The sisters played their first professional match against each other almost 20 years ago. Together they hold three Olympic gold medals, 13 Grand Slam doubles titles and 21 overall titles. We get it, they are sisters, but playing together or head to head, it's not news.

And if you are a tennis fan, you know that the only win Serena doesn’t take (as much) pleasure in is the win over her sister. Who likes to send their own sister packing? But given they always face off as true professional athletes, give it a rest, people. How about #AskHerMore?

More: Kendra Wilkinson is now defending herself against cheating rumors (VIDEO)

The pair just completed an emotional season of Marriage Boot Camp, and a teaser for an upcoming episode of Kendra on Top reveals Wilkinson thought about doing a lot more for revenge than she actually did.

"There were times when I wanted to go out and get some closure, if you know what I'm saying," Wilkinson tells her mom and sisters in the clip, to which her mom adds, "Revenge sex."

Though Baskett revealed during Marriage Boot Camp that he had an affair with a transgender model during his and Wilkinson's marriage, she ultimately decided to stay with him. That doesn't mean she's been rock-solid in their relationship, though, as she reveals in the clip.

"When I went down that aisle and I married him, that's when I said to myself, 'I'm leaving everything behind. I'm never looking at another guy in my life. This is the man,'" Wilkinson says. "And now, because of the shake-up, I looked at other men again. You know? It just sucks being hurt."

More: Hank Baskett "confronts" transgender model who assaulted him (VIDEOS)

She also describes when she "woke up from the misery one day finally, and I looked in the mirror and I'm like, 'I still got it, I'm about to go get it.' I thought, 'Oh, my God, this makes me feel confident and good. I want to feel young. I want to feel sexy again.'"

It was that realization that led to entertaining advances from other men.

"I have some guys that I've been texting lately that I think are not just in the friend category," she admits. "Right now, I'm trying my hardest to, like, distance myself from that feeling. I'm trying to say to myself, 'I'm married again.' But when a guy hits me up, it's just hard to shut that feeling off… even just a 'hey' from a guy from my past turns me the f*** on."

Ultimately, Wilkinson's family encourages her to focus on Baskett and her marriage.

"You made the decision to forgive Hank," her sister tells her. "You made the decision to stay married, so you need to shut it off."

Big Brother fans say keeping Liz is the dumbest move in the game

Just when it seemed things were on the right track to make a powerful move that would have brought two big breakups, the Big Brother cast's head-scratching stupidity derailed a seemingly perfect plan.

With the twins on the chopping block next to each other, the option to oust Liz was an obvious no-brainer. Getting her out of the house not only splits up the twins, but removes the powerful alliance Liz has with Austin.

But don't hold your breath. This is the BB17 cast, remember? Have they done anything smart this season?

Teen Mom 2 fans wonder if Leah is using her child support to buy drugs

$

0

After receiving a surprising amount of sympathy on Twitter last week, Leah Messer has returned to being one of the most disliked ladies on Teen Mom 2. This change of heart was largely prompted by the discovery of Leah's child support arrangement, which involves a shocking $1,700 from Jeremy Calvert every month. Add this to the money Messer is getting from Corey Simms and the cash cow that is MTV, and it's easy to see why she currently doesn't appear to have anything resembling a job. Kids aren't cheap, but West Virginia isn't exactly known for its high cost of living — so where is all that money from Calvert and Simms going?

More: Miranda Simms takes drastic action to avoid her haters

According to a few of Messer's more vocal critics on Twitter, the reality star's child support is being used to fuel a very concerning drug addiction. Although Messer still wants fans to think that her mental health issues do not involve drugs, she looks a whole lot like, well, a drug abuser. The only missing piece of the puzzle is her ability to pay for drugs and, now, that little detail may have been brought into the open. Illicit substances cost a fortune, but the burden of paying for drugs could certainly be eased with the help of over $2,000 per month in child support.

More: Why did Teen Mom stars ditch the VMAs this year?

Without access to Messer's checkbook, it is impossible to know for sure how she is spending the child support money from Calvert and Simms. Fans have come to expect the worst from Messer, which is why they were quick to go on the attack after learning how much she receives in child support each month. The following are just a few of the many negative tweets about Messer's child support situation.

In Messer's defense, raising three kids is not easy, nor is it cheap. Caring for Ali could prove especially expensive in light of her muscular dystrophy diagnosis. As such, it might be a bit premature to assume that Messer is wasting the entirety of the child support money on drugs. Unfortunately, given Messer's history, few Teen Mom 2 fans are willing to give her the benefit of the doubt.

Right off the bat, some designers are stymied by the challenge to create a bra and panty set for Heidi's lingerie line. Easy homemade soft serve takes these ice cream sandwiches to another level

Ice cream sandwich

I have a total sweet tooth, and sometimes it gets me in trouble. I love ice cream cookie sandwiches, but at over 400 calories a serving for most that you can buy, and the fact that I can never stop at just one, my little indulgences aren't so little.

It was time for me to come up with a recipe for my own ice cream cookie sandwich, and look for a way to make it an indulgent, but guilt-free treat, that doesn’t take too much work. To keep things simple, I used pre-made cookies, and a 3 ingredient homemade soft serve ice cream.

The cookies I used are the FiberOne Chocolate Chip Crunchy Cookies, which are a delicious way to indulge while managing weight. The reason I highly recommend using these cookies for this recipe is that they are crunchy, which means they won't get soggy when the ice cream touches it. In addition, they are only 110 calories each. They have 20 percent of the daily value of fiber with 5 grams. And lastly, they taste awesome: crispy, buttery, a sprinkling of chunks of chocolate and all that you would want and expect in a cookie.

ice cream sandwich

Fiber one cookies

The ice cream center is awesome too. Like I said, it only has 3 ingredients, which makes it very easy. But it is also customizable, so if you want to cut down on the sugar, or flavor the ice cream, you can!

All you need for the ice cream is 2 cups of heavy whipping cream (though you can use milk, but it won’t be as tasty), 7 ounces of sweetened condensed milk and some flavoring syrup or vanilla.

You put all the ingredients in a blender and process until it is whipped and thick, or use a hand mixer. Then put the mixture in a freezer container, and freeze until set up.

Then assemble.

Ice cream cookie sandwiches recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 7 ounces (1/2 a can) of sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla syrup (like coffee or drink flavoring) or 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 2 boxes of Fiber One Chocolate Chip Crunchy Cookies (12 cookies total)

Directions:

  1. In a high-powered blender, or using a hand mixer, combine the cream, sweetened condensed milk and vanilla flavoring and mix until thickened, like a whipped cream.
  2. Place the ice cream mixture in a shallow freezer safe dish.
  3. Freeze it for at least 1 hour.
  4. Using a cookie cutter or biscuit cutter, cut out ice cream to the size of a cookie.
  5. Assemble the cookie sandwich with ice cream between 2 Fiber One cookies, and enjoy!

Jewel shares story of sexual harassment from when she was 8 years old

$

The singer/songwriter told The Hollywood Reporter that while she has experienced the same sexual harassment most women do in the entertainment industry, it actually started for her long before she started down her career path — at a shockingly tender age.

"I've had men hitting on me, sadly, since I was really young," she said while promoting her new memoir Never Broken: Songs Are Only Half the Story. "At 8, I had men putting dimes in my hands saying, 'Call me. It'd be so great to f*** when you're older.' And just horrible stuff."

Remember that story about Jewel being homeless and living in her car before she became famous with her first hit "Who Will Save Your Soul"? It's true, and it happened because she would not cave in to another horrible case of sexual harassment. She explained that a boss once fired her for refusing his advances, and she lost her apartment because she couldn't pay her rent — a situation that made her vulnerable to even more exploitation.

More: Jewel sings a song about public housing that's sure to warm your heart — listen

"I've never been more propositioned by businessmen in my life. It was almost like they were sharks that could smell blood, like of vulnerability," said Jewel. "I'd go back to my car, writing songs, and men would literally come up and proposition me. They would be like, 'Hey, do you need rent money?' you know, and things like that. It was pretty wild. I never took anybody up on it, but it was interesting to see this side of men that basically would prey on somebody vulnerable."

But the singer always held firm to her ideals, and that fortitude has served her well.

"The music industry is a very male-dominated business," she explained. "I never slept my way to the top, ever. There was never one time I've ever compromised anything. I was always willing to walk away... And I think that type of spirit that you bring just informs everybody that's around you. You know, I've heard plenty of stories that the opposite happens."

Jewel's memoir Never Broken: Songs Are Only Half the Story hits bookstores Sept. 15, 2015.

That is a harsh and loaded accusation. But it gets worse. She explained, "Every single person thinks what I am verbalizing."

She continued, "The general hypothesis is that, for example, in last week’s episode, ‘I go to the doctor because I have a lump and I need to get it [checked] out.'"

She explains why her suspicions arise from instances like that. She says, "You see that in the episode, but there’s really no follow-up, because it was an infection. Well, what if I said, 'It's not an infection, but cancer.' No one can disprove that, and there is actual evidence of it starting somewhere because I did go to the doctor. It's a real thing, but if I wanted to let that story grow legs I could, because no one can prove it. I think that’s what might have happened with Brooks."

It is clear that Edmonds has no love for Ayers' former flame, Vicki Gunvalson, either. She said she would like to see Gunvalson get booted from the show, explaining, "Hasn’t she aged out?"

And while Gunvalson stood by her man despite all these accusations, Edmonds still doesn’t buy the cancer claims.

She said, "To answer the question, ‘Does Brooks have cancer?’ I don’t think so, but I can’t disprove that. The only thing that can actually prove or disprove it is medical records, and the only person who has access to those is the individual."

Everyone knows that one person they just don’t quite believe and you feel terrible about it when it's something serious like cancer, but Edmonds has no qualms about laying it all out like she is ordering lunch.

If pregnancy magazines were honest, here's what they'd say

As you're a nervous mom-to-be you'll look anywhere for advice on surviving pregnancy and labor. There's a ton of great information on the Internet, but if you've ever spent time sitting around for your OB-GYN to finish delivering a baby and come meet you for your monthly checkup, then you know from killing time in the waiting room that there are tons of pregnancy magazines out there too.

More: Funniest pregnancy brain moments

But when you're already emotional from all the pregnancy hormones and you just had a fight with your partner last night because you can't come to an agreement on whether to paint the baby's room lemon chiffon or lemon soufflé, that 10-page spread featuring professionally appointed nurseries isn't helpful. Nor is the profile of the celebrity who lost all her baby weight in four days or the article on picking the perfect pair of pregnancy heels while you can't remember the last time you saw your feet.

No, what pregnant women want during these long and sometimes difficult months is a magazine that's honest. A magazine that answers the questions you really have, like whether it's possible for there to be long-term effects to your baby if you eat an entire bag of salt and vinegar potato chips in one sitting. So here's the pregnancy magazine we all secretly wish we had a subscription to while we were pregnant.

Sadly, Real Pregnant magazine doesn't exist, but if it did, it would rank second only to a good body pillow in terms of things that are truly helpful during a pregnancy.

People reveal what they really think about online dating apps (WATCH)

The Huffington Post Australia wanted to find the answer to that question and set out to find people's true feelings about online dating apps — and they're pretty surprising.

While some people give online dating apps the green light, others give it a massive thumbs down and believe it is to blame for the downfall of Western civilization. OK, not quite, but some do think that online dating apps are destroying the "natural" order of dating, whereby you randomly meet someone and connect. Below are some of the responses from those interviewed.

Australians reveal what they think of online dating apps

"I think it stops the way that things should happen naturally. So just meeting someone, somewhere in the park or in the street for that [online dating] stops that."

"I reckon if it's for you, go for it you know. Go for it."

And the older generation have weighed in on it, too.

What do Australians really think about online dating?

"Well I can't talk because I didn't like my husband when I met him. It was only when I found the inner-man that I really begun to love him."

Tinder is incredibly popular in Australia and since it's launch it has grown exponentially, with men and women using the app at a 50/50 gender split.

And apparently "even the apps with names that suggest they're explicitly for hook-ups – such as F-Buddy" are proving popular.

In 2014, Choice compiled a comprehensive list of the number of users for each major dating app, these include:

  • RSVP - 2 million Australian members
  • eHarmony - over 1 million members
  • Oasis Active - around 1.6 million Australian members
  • Tinder - Australia is the app's third largest market behind the United States and the United Kingdom

DIY stackable fabric rings: Supplies

Directions:

1. Print and cut template

DIY stackable fabric rings: Step 1

Print and cut out the fabric stackable rings pattern templates along the solid lines. Trace the templates onto the left side of the fabric. You'll need two pieces for each ring and the square pieces of the base, four pieces for the rectangular sides of the base and one piece for the cone.

Note: Only one square base piece needs a hole in the centre.

2. Mark seam allowance

DIY stackable fabric rings: Step 2

Cut along the dashed lines and trace the seam allowance onto the left side of the fabric — this is the line along which you'll stitch.

3. Sew and flip rings

DIY stackable fabric rings: Step 3

Working one by one, sew around the rings, leaving one side open. Turn the rings inside-out (use the tip of the pencil for the hard-to-reach ends).

4. Make the cone

DIY stackable fabric rings: Step 4

Cut a 5-centimetre piece of ribbon and fold it in half. Place the two ends of the ribbon in the centre of the cone piece so that they are in line with the pointy end. Then sew across the ribbon and cone piece and down the side, leaving the round base open.

5. Flip cone

DIY stackable fabric rings: Step 5

Turn the cone piece inside-out, so that the ribbon tab is at the top.

6. Sew cone to base

DIY stackable fabric rings: Step 6

This part is a little tricky: Align the base of the cone piece with the round opening of the square base piece. Then fold them in to face the left side and stitch around it.

7. Sew the side piece

DIY stackable fabric rings: Step 7

Align the seam allowance of one of the side base pieces to the top square base piece, right sides touching, and then stitch into place.

8. Repeat with the rest of the side pieces

DIY stackable fabric rings: Step 8

Align the second side base piece with the first side base piece and the top square base piece, right sides touching, and stitch it into place, as well. Then do the same with the third and fourth side base pieces.

9. Sew the base

DIY stackable fabric rings: Step 9

Align the bottom square base piece with the side base pieces and stitch almost the whole way around, leaving a 4-centimetre opening.

10. Turn the base inside-out

DIY stackable fabric rings: Step 10

Turn the base inside out.

11. Stuff the base

DIY stackable fabric rings: Step 11

Stuff the base with the batting so that it is stiff and can stand on its own without flopping.

12. Close the base

DIY stackable fabric rings: Step 12

Shut the opening in the base by using the iron-on interfacing. You can also do a quick hand-stitch if you feel like you need a bit more protection (and to ensure that the toy survives the washing machine).

13. Stuff and sew the rings

DIY stackable fabric rings: Step 13

Stuff the rings and then sew the ends shut.

14. Play

Now it's ready for your baby.

Buuuut. Why not start our mornings with homemade, all-natural cereal that is naturally sweetened, allergen-free and so dang tasty? No nuts, no dairy, no eggs, no gluten. Just a simple pumpkin granola recipe packed with healthy benefits and delicious flavor. Doesn't that sound amazing?

And guess what? I can't stop eating it. And since there's pumpkin-everything in here, I'm sorta obsessed with it. This was supposed to be just a pumpkin spiced granola, but when I started to gather all the ingredients, the can of pumpkin puree made its way to my hands and I had to use it.

Of course, I am super glad I did.

Homemade yogurt with granola

Don't worry, the pumpkin flavor is not that strong. It does dominate, but it’s not strong at all. Very subtle, just enough to know that you’re eating pumpkin granola! The end result is just delicious crunchy granola that’s allergen-free and full of antioxidants and healthy protein. Be creative and add your favorite superfoods!

Enjoy!

Pumpkin Granola Recipe

Prep Time: 10 minutes | Cook Time: 40 minutes | Total Time: 50 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups gluten-free rolled oats
  • 1/3 cup no-shell pumpkin seeds (pepitas)
  • 1 cup all-natural dried cranberries
  • 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup all natural pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling)
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 325 F.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper; set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, pepitas, cranberries, pumpkin pie spice and salt. Set aside.
  4. In a small saucepan, combine pumpkin puree, water, coconut oil, honey, brown sugar and vanilla; bring to a boil, stirring frequently.
  5. Pour the honey mixture over the dry ingredients and toss together until all ingredients are coated.
  6. Spread onto the baking sheet and bake for about 35 to 40 minutes, stirring occasionally so that the mixture browns evenly.
  7. For a crunchier granola, bake it for a few minutes longer; the browner the granola, the crunchier it will be.
  8. Place on a wire rack to cool.
  9. While the granola is still a bit warm, break up some of the larger clumps.
  10. Once the granola has cooled, store in an airtight container; can keep for up to two weeks.
