Conan O'Brien's sexual chat with Jennifer Aniston will make you LOL (VIDEO)

More: Jennifer Aniston is completely smitten with Justin Theroux

We love sexual Jennifer Aniston! She should be in movies like Horrible Bosses 2 more often because they definitely bring out her hilarious side. Not only has Aniston been busy pranking reporters during press junkets, she's also charming the pants off audiences during interviews while talking about sex toys.

Aniston revealed that the circular gold necklace she wears throughout the film is, in fact, not a monocle like O'Brien hopes — it's actually a sex toy. Her casual revelation leaves O'Brien unusually speechless. Not that we blame the guy. The way Aniston so casually talks about her bling, all while flicking her hair back with a charming smile, is enough to leave anyone balking at her greatness.

The actress then seamlessly moves on to another, equally as raunchy discussion about the deleted sex scene in Horrible Bosses 2.

More: Is Jennifer Aniston finally starring in a good movie?

O'Brien was shocked that a Jennifer Aniston sex scene would ever be cut from any movie, but Aniston explained that it was necessary because her character in the film "exploits" Charlie Day's character while he's in a coma.

"It was kind of... not even mutual," Aniston explained before losing her words with a lot of uh's and um's and laughing.

More: Don't tell Jen Aniston she looks good for her age

So while Aniston's description of the scene sounds hilarious, we get why it was cut. But Aniston said she wouldn't be surprised if it was on the DVD extras.

To be perfectly honest, we were feeling kind of meh about seeing Horrible Bosses 2 since sequels make us nervous. But, thanks to Aniston and her potty mouth, we're officially all in. Lucky for us, the movie is in theaters now.

Are you planning on seeing Horrible Bosses 2?

Names of naughty children

So, it seems, if you're a parent and you elect to go with a name on the bad-egg child list, you're really just playing with fire (which, we would like to point out, is something badly behaving children have been known to do).

Full disclosure: If you, personally, find your name on either of the naughty lists, then not only are you getting coal from Santa this year, but we're also going to need documented evidence that you are, in fact, a nice person before we agree to be friends with you. And if your name is Sophia or Jackson, well, it's a case of first in, best dressed when it comes to securing our friendship. We can only be friends with so many of you before it just becomes too confusing.

U.K. report shows most pregnancies better off with midwives than ob-gyns

$

0

Here in the U.S., we spend the most on maternity care in the world (an average of $9,000 to $15,000 per birth), yet we're the only developed nation in which our maternal mortality rates continue to rise. The birth industry in the U.S. is clearly fraught with challenges that need to be addressed. Dealing with insurance issues and a health care system that isn't always patient-centric can leave pregnant women frustrated and potentially upset over the handling of their labor and delivery. But what other options are there? Perhaps we can take a page from the U.K.'s handbook.

NICE's guidelines, which state it is safer for most women to have their births outside a hospital setting, start by recognizing that pregnancy is not a pathology and shouldn't be treated as such:

Giving birth is a life‑changing event. The care that a woman receives during labour has the potential to affect her – both physically and emotionally, in the short and longer term – and the health of her baby. Good communication, support and compassion from staff, and having her wishes respected, can help her feel in control of what is happening and contribute to making birth a positive experience for the woman and her birth companion(s).

If only this model of care was seen more frequently here in the U.S. Unfortunately we live in a country where patient care is simply not the focus when it comes to labor and delivery. To understand further, I spoke with Deborah Wage, a certified nurse midwife currently with Vanderbilt Department of OB-GYN (and who also happens to be my partner on a new book looking at the concept of the perfect birth). "Obstetrics in the United States is organized around a model where the every pregnancy is viewed as a potential medical complication," she said. "Costs rises due to the technology and interventions required to support this model. Incorporating midwifery into obstetrics in the U.S., as has been done in the U.K. and many other countries, is essential if we wish to improve outcomes."

The U.K. understands the benefits of midwifery and has stringent education and licensing requirements for midwives. Unlike the U.S., where home birth midwifery is still illegal in some states and there is no regulation over home birth midwives, U.K. midwives are allowed the freedom to practice in hospitals, birth centers and homes, offering a wide option of settings for patients. This allows women to choose the best setting for their pregnancies while still maintaining a set standard of care, safety and skill. The NICE guidelines note that the risk of serious complications or death for infants is the same in all three settings, with the one exception of first-time mothers, where the risk increased slightly from 9 in 1,000 home births experiencing serious complications compared to 5 in 1,000 for babies born in a hospital. Overall, the guidelines state that women who have given birth under midwife-led care have had fewer chances of undergoing medical interventions like episiotomies, C-sections and use of instruments like forceps.

In the U.K., it's not about birth wars, with home births being pitted against hospital ones. It's about patient-centric care, as it should be. Deborah explained that the current U.S. system of birth needs a drastic change if we want to see positive results like in the U.K. "It is the siloed system in the U.S. that continues to marginalize midwifery and sadly marginalizes choice for women as well. We need a humanized, seamless, integrated model of care in the U.S. that offers and supports choice."

Barack and Michelle Obama's love story is being made into a movie

More: Teens take to Twitter with #ThanksMichelleObama to protest school lunches

The story of the presidential couple's first date is behind Southside With You, a love story directed by Worst Friends director Richard Tanne. According to Deadline, the film will be a drama in the same vein as the 1995 indie romance flick Before Sunrise and will chronicle the summer 1989 afternoon when young Barack took then-Michelle Robinson on a whirlwind date across Chicago's South Side.

Tika Sumpter has signed on to play Michelle, and producers are searching for the perfect Barack.

As Deadline reports, the date that turned into the legendary White House romance we all know and love took some convincing. Barack, then a first-year Harvard Law student, had taken a summer internship at Chicago law firm Sidley Austin. There, his younger boss, Michelle, caught his eye. Southside With You captures the day she finally agreed to go out with him and the pair visited the Art Institute, took a long walk and saw Spike Lee's Do the Right Thing. They were married three years later.

"I took her to this new movie that everybody was talking about, directed by a guy that not that many people had heard of, but it was supposed to be pretty good," Obama remembered during the pair's 25th anniversary celebration last summer at the Baskin Robbins where they shared their first kiss, now commemorated with a city plaque.

Tanne penned the screenplay and plans to start filming on location in Chicago next summer.

"(Producer) Stephanie Allain and I are excited to produce this smart and timeless film that sheds light on one of the great love stories of our time," said co-producer Tracey Bing. “Richard really captures the essence of that romantic connection between Barack and Michelle that is so evident in the way that they look at each other. We are looking forward to finding the perfect Barack.”

Beyoncé just became the woman with the most Grammy nominations in history

More: You can actually buy what Beyoncé wore in her '7/11' video, for cheap

For a year, Queen Bey has been tied with country music Icon Dolly Parton for the most Grammy nods for a female artist — at a whopping 46 nominations each.

But thanks to that surprise self-titled album she dropped back in last December, which earned a nod for Best Urban Contemporary Album when the nominees were announced today, Beyoncé is now the reigning queen of the Grammys.

According to Billboard, the initial announcement had Bey tied with David Foster for most nominations overall — they shared the seventh-place spot.

But that was before nominees for Album of the Year were announced during the Friday night special A Very Grammy Christmas, where — surprise! — Bey picked up another nod. Album of the Year is the highest award the Grammys have to offer,

More: 2014's Top 25 songs make an amazing mash-up (VIDEO)

It's not enough to put the queen in contention to break another record — most Grammys won by a female performer — just yet. That honor is currently held by Alison Krauss, who has an insane 27 of the awards under her belt. Beyoncé, who has won 17 so far, probably has a few years to go before she can catch up. After this year's ceremony, though, it's possible she'll be only eight trophies away from being the winningest woman in Grammy history.

Currently, the second-place spot on that list is held by Aretha Franklin with 18 awards. Beyoncé could either tie, if she wins one of her categories, or take over the second place position, if she wins them both. Fingers crossed for you, Bey.

She'll face tough competition in the album of the year category, though — other nominees include Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran and Pharrell Williams.

What do you think? Does Beyoncé deserve to win both her categories? Who would you like to see win Album of the Year? Sound off in the comments.

Make ricotta gnudi — gnocchi's sexier cousin — for a romantic night in

$
0
0

Rather than using potatoes as most gnocchi do I used a mixture of fresh ricotta and Parmesan cheeses, seasonings and flour and prepared them similar to gnocchi. They cooked up so fluffy and pillow-like and are so easy to make. Once the gnudi were boiled I prepared a simple brown butter sauce with fresh sage to toss them in. This doesn't weigh the flavors down and pairs really well with a drizzle of tart balsamic reduction. This is the perfect recipe for a date night in or if you are just trying to show off your cooking skills.

Ricotta gnudi with brown butter sage sauce recipe

Ricotta is transformed into fluffy little pillow-like dumplings and tossed in a savory brown butter sauce and drizzled with a balsamic reduction.

Serves 4-6

Prep time: 30 minutes | Cook time: 30 minutes | Total time: 1 hour

Ingredients:

For the gnudi

  • 1-1/4 cups ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup semolina flour
  • 2 whole eggs
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the brown butter sage sauce

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon white balsamic vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1 small handful fresh sage leaves, plus extra for garnish
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • A handful of finely grated Parmesan
  • Fresh parsley and walnuts for garnish

Directions:

  1. In a mixing bowl combine all of the ingredients for the gnudi mixing very well.
  2. Using a spoon scoop the mixture into balls and roll into desired shape or something similar to gnocchi placing the formed gnudi on a large plate or dish until ready to boil.
  3. Fill a large pot with water and bring to a boil over high heat. Spray a baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray and set aside.
  4. Once the water is boiling drop the gnudi into the boiling water in small batches, being careful not to overcrowd the pot. Once the gnudi float to the surface remove them with a slotted spoon and place them on the baking sheet.
  5. Heat a large pan over medium heat. Add the butter, sage leaves, vinegar and honey, and season with salt and pepper.
  6. Cook the mixture about 3-4 minutes or until the butter begins to lightly brown.
  7. Add the cooked gnudi to the butter sauce and lightly toss to coat cooking 2-3 minutes.
  8. Divide the gnudi between serving bowls garnishing with fresh parsley and walnuts.
  9. Best served warm.

More: Chris Brown rips Adrienne Bailon apart in a fiery Instagram rant

Over the weekend, the "Loyal" hit maker and Tran publicly blasted each other via social media, with Brown accusing his on-off girlfriend of sleeping with Drake whilst he was in jail.

In a lengthy post, which has since been deleted, according to Complex magazine, Brown wrote, "I was locked up for damn near 4 months and only got 1 visit from you while u was hosting parties and taking secret trips to Toronto, going on dates with Drake!"

"When this relationship first started u knew what it was and even participated in threesomes. I slowed all that shit down. So let's not try to save face for public opinion because I don't need to play victim so people can take my side."

More: Sorry, Chris Brown, Karrueche Tran's not ready for a baby

Brown's comments allegedly came after Tran let it be known that she is done with this relationship and is tired of being mistreated, TMZ reports.

"Once you find strength within yourself, it's hard to allow any type of bs around you. I refuse to be repeatedly mistreated especially by someone who claims to love me. That's not love," Tran wrote.

Tran's Instagram account now looks to be disabled. But since Brown's nasty accusations about her, he decided to take to Instagram one last time on Monday and apologize for his previous comments.

More: A Chris Brown time line: Every horrible thing he's ever done

Posting a picture of himself with his head down, Brown admitted that airing his dirty laundry via social media was not the right thing to do and that sometimes he acts irrationally.

"Being young and dumb is one of my strong suits and emotional at best. I love hard and react impulsively when I'm hurt at times. I don't think social media is a place to air out or hash out personal problems and a n**** feel hella WACK for doing it. So I AM APOLOGIZING I live in a glass house and the same shit that makes me great also is my curse. Everybody know I love that girl. I don't care how my image my look to the public because I'm still gonna be the best at what I do. I just want baby girl to know I apologize!" Brown wrote.

According to TMZ, law enforcement sources have revealed to them that the first step in the investigation is for cops to determine that Cosby and his accuser, Judy Huth, were even at the Playboy mansion.

The investigation was opened on Friday after Huth and her lawyer Gloria Allred went to the LAPD and filed a police report.

Police are hoping that Hefner and his employees can shed some light on what happened that night as they try to gather evidence for the case that is now more than 40 years old. But TMZ sources claim that it's unclear how much can be documented from an alleged incident that happened over four decades ago.

And Cosby's response to the allegations? According to TMZ, Cosby says that Huth is a liar who tried to sell her story to the tabloids 10 years ago. And his lawyer has allegedly said that her claims that she and Cosby played a beer game are absurd, because Cosby is a lifelong non-drinker.

According to the New York Daily News, Huth filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles claiming that Cosby sexually assaulted her inside the 22-room sin palace when she was just 15 years old — and she is not the first woman to come forward.

Einstein sends a letter to Marie Curie, tells her haters gonna hate

$

Nearly a decade after winning the first of her two Nobel Prizes, Marie Curie was getting lots of attention, and despite her impressive professional work in physics and chemistry almost none of it was the good kind. It seems trolls have been around much longer than the internet, and Curie, like so many women in today's society, found herself at the center of a lot of trolling. In 1911, Curie received an encouraging letter from none other than Albert Einstein, urging her to ignore the naysayers and carry on with her impressive work.
He wrote, "I am enraged by the base manner in which the public is presently daring to concern itself with you." Sound familiar? He despises the public's "lust or sensationalism." Seriously, he could be writing about any of the borage of slut-shaming, anti-fem trolls crawling around on the internet today! Curie received most of her public rebuke from a relationship she had with her colleague and fellow physicist Paul Langevin.
The press scandalized the story and it, as it does today, resulted in her being dragged through the mud. She was called a foreign Jewish home-wrecker and was driven from her home by an angry mob, being forced to seek refuge in the home of a friend. It was during this time when Einstein sent his newly famed letter to her.
Albert Einsteins letter to Marie Curie 1911
This letter is part of a Princeton-curated collection of thousands of Einstein's letters and writings and scribing left about the globe after his death. What's the deal with this green cat?

So what's behind the cat's odd look? At first animal lovers and local residents assumed the emerald-green feline was the handiwork of vandals, and even started a Facebook page calling for "Punishment to the perpetrator of this criminal act."

Check out the video for yourself:

Later, another theory was floated that the cat actually sleeps on a bed of synthetic paint, which is to blame for the bad green dye job. Regardless of the reason, the cat reportedly is getting darker green every day, with no signs of the color fading.

Many who have seen the video say there's no way the coloring could be due to sleeping in paint, because it's so even around the entire coat. One commenter on the video says it's obvious the cat was dyed.

"No way a cat is going to get THAT much paint on it after sleeping on an abandoned heap of synthetic green paint," Javier Cabrera wrote. "That is just nonsense. Another case of people believing anything the gov throws at them, even if it's illogical and stupid."

Others say it's an obvious Photoshop job.

So what do you think? Are pranksters to blame, or something more logical?

The FDA has a bone to pick with reusable menstrual pads

The Food and Drug Administration has declared that reusable menstrual pads are considered medical devices, and as such, all makers have to pay a yearly FDA registration fee to continue to sell them. The fee of $3,646 may not be a big deal for large corporations, but most menstrual cloth pads are made by small, women-owned businesses. And the even more significant fact is that this fee is due by Dec. 31, 2014 — just a few weeks away.

Menstrual pads are not medical devices

Menstrual pads are not medical devices

Reusable cloth pads are used by women who don't like the disposable options on the market today, most of which are bleached and contain other chemicals that can trigger discomfort, irritation or even allergic reactions. However, there aren't a lot of large companies that make cloth pads, because the big market is in the disposable option. "Most cloth pad companies are run by woman entrepreneurs," says Denelle Philemon from MotherMoonPads. "We hand-make our products with care to provide women with the menstrual options they desire — menstrual options that are safe and nontoxic to both the environment and their bodies."

The FDA regulation enforcement has placed a huge burden on those small business owners. The enormous fee is unattainable by many small pad makers and can effectively drive them out of business. "For MotherMoonPads personally, this fee is a large percentage of my income," Philemon says. "I am not a large corporation. I do not have a padded budget where I can easily cover this. As a one-woman micro-business who supports her family, paying this fee will mean taking money out of the family budget."

As Philemon says, menstruation is not a sign of poor health — it is a sign of good health. Menstruation is a normal, healthy part of a woman's life, and the supplies women use should not be considered medical devices. I completely agree with her. These regulations are suffocating and unfair. "I feel very strongly that it is important to provide women with safe choices for their menstrual needs," she says. "Requiring cloth menstrual pad companies to register with the FDA will take away those choices to women all over the world. We deserve better."

There is a We the People petition requesting that the FDA fees for reusable pad makers be reduced or eliminated. If the regulations aren't changed this year, then maybe change can come before Dec. 31, 2015 for the following year.
