Turns out, synergy is taking on a new direction in the age of Instagram and Twitter. Not surprisingly, prominent couples are benefiting quite a bit from collaborating self-promotion on a host of new online platforms.
The couple that tops the NYT's list: Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, obviously. These two brand moguls combined have an audience of nearly 30 million people. Thanks to posting plenty of lovey-dovey tweets and Instagram photos of family and love, while simultaneously supporting each other's career endeavors, these two have perfected the new generation of what it means to be a power couple.
The NYT admits its list is not very scientific; instead, it was gathered from celebrities' social influence and ways the named celebrities use that influence to effect their brand with their significant others. Plus, we have to admit, it's lots of fun to see how these couples stack up.
