Jeremy Renner is officially a dad!

Jeremy Renner is officially a dad! His daughter, Ava Berlin, was born on Thursday. The Bourne Legacy's star also confirmed that he indeed has a girlfriend whose identity has been kept private — until now.

Jeremy Renner

The ultra-private Jeremy Renner has officially confirmed to People that he is a dad. SheKnows reported the rumors that he and a former girlfriend were expecting a child back in January. However, those reports were never confirmed — until now.

Ava Berlin Renner was born on Thursday, weighing in at 7 pounds. Another interesting part of the announcement was the name of the mother: Sonni Pacheco. It was also confirmed by Renner's rep to the Los Angeles Times that Pacheco is his current — not former — girlfriend.

Fans of the Hurt Locker star received more information about his private life in one short birth announcement than they'd ever gotten before. Renner has tried to keep his private life out of his very public career.

A rep for the couple told People, "They are beyond thrilled. Mother and daughter are doing great."

Perhaps the confirmation of his daughter's arrival and the name of his girlfriend will end speculation about the actor's personal life. His insistence on privacy has led to rumors about the two-time Oscar winner possibly being gay.

Man Candy Mondays: Jeremy Renner>>

An infamous Hollywood Reporter interview back in April 2012 addressed the topic.

Renner adamantly responded with, "I want my personal life to be personal, and it's not f**king true. And I don't care if you're talking about things that are true, you're still talking about my personal life. How about I go peek in your window, take what underwear you wore last night, whose husband you were f**king, and shove that in the megaphone throughout your neighborhood? How does that feel?"

Now, let's hope the paparazzi respect his desire for privacy and do not try to snap his bundle of joy's first public photo. Clearly, The Bourne Legacy star does not seem the type to sell his child's picture to an entertainment magazine.

Revolution sneak peek: "Ghosts"

When producers said Charlie was going to grow up in the second half of Season 1, they weren't messing around. Now that Danny is dead, Charlie is facing a personal revolution.

Miles and Nora in Revolution

What is it with brothers dying on TV lately? First, Jeremy Gilbert was killed off on The Vampire Diaries, and now Danny is dead on Revolution. I guess nothing spurs an overprotective big sister to action like the death of her younger sibling.

When producers said Charlie was going to grow up during the second half of Revolution's first season, we had no idea that growth would come like this. After all, she spent the first half of the season with tunnel vision trying to get Danny back.

Missed the last episode of Revolution? Catch up with the recap>>

If anything, Revolution is risky. The show took its entire plot line and squashed it easily in the span of one episode. The producers keep insisting that at its core, the show is about family. Now that Charlie's family is almost gone, she'll go to desperate lengths to avenge Danny's death and stop the Militia from gaining any more power.

At the heart of Charlie's revolution in the upcoming episodes is the relationship with her mom. According to NBC, tensions will rise between the two. We've seen glimpses of it up to this point: Charlie shoots Rachel suspicious glances, and Rachel seems awkward and unsure of her position within the group.

Do you think you can survive Revolution? Find out with our quiz >>

In the midst of the struggles within the group, Revolution is also dealing with the bigger picture. According to NBC, in the coming episodes, we'll discover why the lights went out and how the group will turn them back on. It seems like Rachel will be the key to all this information. She knows something about a tower that holds the key to turning the power back on.

Something tells us it won't be that simple. Even if the group manages to get the power back on, electricity won't solve their problems. Monroe will still be way ahead of the game on collecting and using weapons. He's not just going to give up his quest for a Monroe Republic because Rachel flicks a switch in a tower.

The Vampire Diaries sneak peek: "Pictures of You"

It's prom season, and while old Elena would have been fretting about which Salvatore brother to take, new Elena says she doesn't need a babysitter.

Elena, Stefan and Damon in The Vampire Diaries

It's prom on the next episode of The Vampire Diaries, and emotionless Elena doesn't want either of the Salvatore brothers on her arm.

But she gets them anyway, of course. Stefan and Damon show up to keep an eye on her — with a plan up their sleeves. No idea how Damon managed to get into a high school prom when he's supposed to be Stefan's older brother. I guess at this point, so many people in Mystic Falls know he's a vampire that they just let it slide — either that or they see him hanging around Elena so much that no one is surprised.

Missed the last episode of The Vampire Diaries? Catch up with the recap >>

Either way, Stefan and Damon show up at prom with a plan to make Elena want the cure.

No word yet on what the point is of making her want the cure when Elijah is the one who gets to decide who takes it. Could Elijah's sympathy for Elena's lost compassion be enough to propel him to hand over the cure? We doubt it. It's also highly unlikely that Silas will just disappear from the picture in the near future, which means that if Elijah gives Klaus the cure — as duty demands — Klaus won't be handing it over to Stefan and Damon, either.

Joseph Morgan nervous about Vampire Diaries' spinoff The Originals? >>

Elena tells Damon she feels nothing for him. Then she dances with Stefan, and the two share an intimate moment. Something tells me it's politically motivated, though. The love triangle has been kind of flat now that Elena doesn't have emotions to spur any mutual feelings, and it looks like she won't be sticking around prom very long. Bonnie worriedly tells Damon that Elena is gone.

The next episode of The Vampire Diaries airs April 11 on The CW.

Snooki offers delivery fashion advice to Kim Kardashian

Snooki has become MTV's official celebrity baby correspondent, and she's offering delivery room advice to Hollywood's most followed mom-to-be, Kim Kardashian.

Snooki

After six drunken seasons on MTV's reality show Jersey Shore, it's hard to imagine that Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi is now the network's official celebrity baby correspondent. But that's exactly what is happening, as Polizzi doles out fashion tips to Kim Kardashian for a glamorous baby delivery.

Kardashian has been suffering through a few fashion mishaps during her pregnancy, and she looks downright uncomfortable in some of the wardrobe for her baby bump. Well, Snooki is here to rescue the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star so she has a very fashionable birth.

In a video filled with helpful hints, Snooki tells Kardashian about makeup application while waiting to deliver.

She says, "I waited 27 hours, and the whole time I just put on makeup and watched cartoons."

Some of the colors she recommends are pink or red for the lips to dress up the "boring" white walls in the hospital. And of course, "Stay away from the nudes."

Snooki wants a boob job>>

Any fan of Kardashian's reality show will know how much she loves her lashes, and Snooki didn't forget that fact.

She advises, "Remember to bring an extra pair of eyelashes in your purse in case you are not at home when your water breaks. Just do like I did and bring a whole box."

With the makeup taken care of, it's time to think about fashion. Snooki states the obvious with "Hospital gowns are ugly." While it's doubtful the mommy-to-be would ever be caught in something so plain, the Jersey Shore star recommends Dolce & Gabbana and her signature leopard print for a little pizzazz.

Snooki sells her car on eBay for $77K>>

Because accessories like big hoop earrings "can get caught in your extensions," the pint-sized gal thinks it's good to wear diamond studs instead. She also wants Kardashian to grab a scarf to cover up any post-baby bloat.

Polizzi shares, "Trust me, you are going to be bloated and you're going to have like a million double chins, so you are gonna wanna cover that s**t up."

This is not the only celebrity Snooki has offered advice to. Her words of parental wisdom have already been broadcast to expecting Kate Middleton and new parents Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose.

It's clear the new mom of baby Enzo is taking her new role very seriously. With so many Hollywood celebrities pregnant right now, whom will Snooki mentor next?

Justin Bieber continues his troubled European tour with some monkey business. His capuchin monkey was confiscated at the Munich airport after the singer failed to present the proper paperwork.

Justin Bieber and monkeyJustin Bieber has been getting into a lot of monkey business as of late with a rocky European tour and spats with his neighbor. However, this time the trouble involves a real monkey and the country of Germany.

The pop singer arrived in Munich aboard a private plane with his capuchin monkey, a gift from record producer Mally Mall. Unfortunately, Bieber didn't have the proper paperwork to bring the animal into the country. That's when customs officials stepped in.

Thomas Meister, spokesperson for the customs office at the Franz Josef Strauss Airport in Munich, told People, "Justin Bieber brought his monkey to Germany, but had no official paperwork with him. We were forced to confiscate the animal."

Justin Bieber threatens to take a break>>

Bieber was detained and his monkey was quarantined because he did not have permission to bring his pet into the country. The music superstar will be fined, and he will have to cover the costs of the quarantine.

As of Saturday, it appears the owner has been reunited with his cuddly friend. On Instagram, there were several photos of the two hanging together, including one captioned, "Kickin it with og."

Are Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez back together?>>

Bieber is performing in Austria on Saturday night, but it's unclear what he's going to do with his precious pet the next week. He has a series of dates back in Germany beginning on April 2 with "Call Me, Maybe" singer Carly Rae Jepsen.

Vin Diesel hints at Fast & Furious 7

It looks like studio execs are thinking Fast.

Vin Diesel in Fast & Furious

Thanks to the killer trailer that debuted at the Super Bowl , we're pretty pumped for the May 24 release of Fast & Furious 6.

Now a rumor has emerged that a seventh film may be on the fast track.

In a recent post on his Facebook page, Vin Diesel hinted that production on Fast & Furious 7 could begin as early as this summer.

"There was an early screening in LA this week of Fast 6. The crowd reaction was surreal... and their demand for the continuation was powerful.

It's remarkable to think I first embodied this character in 1999... and the evolution continues.

P.s. Filming begins this summer in LA, where it all started... talk about a studio in sync with the audience..."

If production is in fact set to begin so soon, that would put the film in theaters as early as next year.

Vin Diesel shows his softer side by singing Rihanna's "Stay" >>

Anotherfilm would make Fast & Furious one of the longest-running film series of all time. The franchise would be tied with Police Academy for the film with the most follow-ups. It would be surpassed only by Halloween, which has had eight installments .

It wouldn't come as a great surprise if Universal went ahead with another Fast & Furious film.

Fast and Furious 6 plot details finally revealed >>

Fast Five, which hit theaters in 2011, took in a hefty $209 million at the box office, while its predecessors took in an average of $139 million.

Diesel has appeared in all but one of the Fast & Furious films.

Paul Walker, Ludacris, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez and Tyrese also appear in the action flick.

Pucker up: Our favorite pink shades

For those of you who were sad to see neon lipstick make an exit back in the 1980s, welcome to 2013! We've selected our favorite bright-pink lipsticks to help you sport this awesome makeup trend without looking like a clown.

NARS Funny Face

NARS Cosmetics in Funny Face

Lipstick wearers everywhere know that product descriptions like "long-wearing" and "matte finish" usually mean that the color will look and feel like a horrific hybrid of red chalk and baby powder within five minutes of application. We love NARS lipsticks because they provide a full-coverage look in a semi-matte finish that will not dry your lips into sad, shrunken raisins. If you're wild enough to try a fuchsia lip color, we suggest NARS Funny Face. You won't look funny... maybe just a little fashionable in fuchsia.

Beauty Addicts sinful

beautyADDICTS Beautyfull Lips in Sinful

Lipsticks from beautyADDICTS promise intense hydration and a lip-plumping formula. The products don't disappoint because lips feel healthy, moisturized and sensual upon application. We love the color Sinful because it's a nice blend of magenta and red, so it's not quite as pinky-pink as other brands. The color is also included in the brand's Seduce line of products, so the promise of sexy time upon lipstick purchase seems like a nice added benefit.

MAC viva glam nicky

M.A.C. in Viva Glam Nicki

Whether you love or hate Nicki Minaj, there's one thing we can all agree on: Girlfriend loves her hot-pink lipsticks. And why not? She totally pulls off the look, and hot-pink colors make her gorgeous lips pop. Nicki recently teamed up with M.A.C. Cosmetics to produce Viva Glam Nicki. The bold product lasts through eating and drinking, but we recommend you use a lip balm with it to prevent parched lips, because it can feel a little drying.

Yves saint laurent provocative pink

Yves Saint Laurent in Provocative Pink

If you're a little shy about bright-pink lipsticks, we understand. Bold colors sometimes seem risky, especially since so many drugstore brands just end up flaking off or morphing into a hideous color halfway through the day without so much as a peep of warning. Sometimes, though, a bold look is worth a little extra investment. YSL lipsticks are a bit pricey, but to many women, a bright, pouty, moisturized kisser is worth the expense. We like that YSL's Provocative Pink glides on like butter and brightens up the entire face.

Maybelline new york vivid rose

Maybelline New York in Vivid Rose

Granted, a bold color is sometimes worth an expensive purchase, but sometimes it's worth just playing around with a bit. Maybelline's Vivid line of lipsticks are all available for under $10, so you can try out lots of different eye-catching colors, including several shades of bright pink. We especially like Vivid Rose because it's a quintessential hot-pink, on-trend look for the spring and summer.

Manna Kadar Cosmetics in Saucy

Manna Kadar Cosmetics in Saucy

A woman with the confidence to wear bright-pink lipstick projects a certain image. Don't try hot pinks unless you want to be seen as trendy, fun and perhaps a little saucy. The formula for Manna Kadar Cosmetics' lipstick is long-lasting, and the color Saucy packs a terrific magenta punch. Pair it with a simple sweep of gold across your eyelids, and your saucy face will be ready for spring.

Hollywood Cosmetics in Pout

Hollywood Cosmetics in Pout

The owner of Hollywood Cosmetics sees makeup as an extension of skincare, so all products are infused with botanical ingredients and promise to improve the skin's health. And, incidentally, lips are made of skin, so it works out great for everyone. The color Pout looks as soft as a rose petal in the lipstick tube, and it glides on just as smoothly for an all-day, slightly demure pink lip color. It offers a pop of pink without screaming "Look at me!"

Body of Royalty in Goddess

Body of Royalty in Goddess

Body of Royalty is a makeup line that specializes in only lipsticks and lip glosses, so you know their products have to be good. If you enjoy feeling like a deity, the line's Goddess shade might be right for you. The color hits a sweet spot between hot pink and bubblegum pink, so you can wear it as part of your five-minute face or your nighttime look.

How to: Simple playground workouts

It's tempting to use playground time as an opportunity to catch up on the latest celebrity gossip zines, but you should really get up off that park bench and get your butt in shape. As your kids tear around the jungle gym like wild monkeys, use the equipment as your own personal fitness center.

Slides, swings and monkey bars may look like child's play, but with a little imagination, they can be used to create an incredible full-body workout. Every playground is a little bit different, so you may need to scope out the situation to come up with a game plan, but here are just a few ideas for turning your playtime into gym time.

Box jumps

Box jumps

Who needs a plyometric box? Just find an elevated step or park bench and get to hopping! Just remember to keep your feet hip-width apart and to land each jump with "soft knees" to help prevent injuries. Targets your entire lower body: glutes, hamstrings, quads, hips and calves.

Workout suggestion: Perform two sets of 10 to 12 jumps.

Calf raises

Calf raises

Use a step, ladder or curb to perform calf raises. The elevation allows you to increase the range of motion, enhancing the exercise. Just be sure not to use your upper body to help pull you up as you raise your body up onto your toes. Use your hands for balance only. Targets your calves.

Workout suggestion: Perform three sets of 15 calf raises.

Suspension lunge

Suspension lunge

Skip TRX class and opt for a swing, instead! Swings are like the original suspension trainer, forcing you to concentrate on balance and stability while performing traditional movements. To perform a suspension lunge, start by balancing on one foot, placing the top of your opposite foot on the seat of a swing. Extend your back leg behind you as you lower yourself toward the ground into a lunge. When your front knee forms a 90-degree angle, return to start. Targets your entire lower body and core.

Workout suggestion: Perform two sets of 10 to 12 lunges on each side.

Triceps dip

Triceps dip

Playgrounds are full of bars and handles! Locate a bar that you can rest both hands on, at a height that allows you to start with your hips forming a 90-degree angle, as though you were seated in a chair. Keeping your lower body steady, bend your elbows and begin lowering your hips toward the ground. When your elbows form a 90-degree angle, reverse the movement and return to start. Targets your triceps.

Workout suggestion: Perform two sets of 10 to 12 dips.

Suspension plank

Suspension plank

If you think a traditional plank is hard, try a suspension plank! By balancing your upper body on a swing, you'll have to fully engage your shoulders, chest, hips and core as you work to keep your body tight and straight. As an alternative, rest your hands on the ground, with your feet on the swing's seat. Targets your chest, shoulders and core.

Workout suggestion: Perform two 30-second planks.

Lateral traveling plank

Lateral traveling plank

If your playground has steps or pods of varying heights, use them to perform a lateral traveling plank. Like a standard plank, the traveling plank will challenge your core, but it will also force you to engage your upper and lower body more fully. Just be careful and make sure you're planting your hands firmly on each pod before working your way across the steps — you don't want to slip! Targets your chest, shoulders, hips and core.

Workout suggestion: Work your way up and down the pods five times without resting.

Assisted pull-up

Assisted pullup

All those bars and handles can be used to work your back muscles, too. Just find a bar that allows you to rest your heels on the ground with your body at an angle. Start with your arms fully extended, then pull yourself up to the bar. Lower yourself back to start and continue the exercise. Targets your back and biceps.

Workout suggestion: Perform two sets of 10 to 12 pull-ups.

It increases your strength and coordination while reducing body fat. That’s a win-win, right? Many gyms now offer classes similar to Punk Rope, a jump rope class created by Tim Haft. Check your gym schedules today!

Boot camp

Sometimes you just don't want to look at another gym machine. Search out a boot-camp style class like the UXF Ripped classes offered at New York Sports Clubs. These classes tale place on a turf floor and use training tools you don't often find in a gym, like battle ropes, truck tires and even sleds.

Vbarre

When you think of a ballet barre, you probably picture stick-thin women wearing tutus and toe shoes. That's not the case in a Vbarre class. Vbarre blends ballet, Pilates and resistance training to create an intense calorie-buring session like none you've experienced before.

Hit the pool

The resistance of the water creates a great opportunity to work on your core and burn calories. It's also a big help with joint and muscle pain, if you have issues in that area. Janna Lowell, water exercise instructor and author of Noodles For Dumbbells: Water Exercise, Weight Management & More, says, "Bringing your aerobic dance step routine to the water will allow for a third more calories to be burned per session compared to that same activity on land due to the special properties of water."

Talk about it!

Nervous about trying something new? It’s easier with your friends! If you’ve got a Windows Phone, create a private group for you and your besties where you can help each other track your fitness goals and set up times to try out new classes.

Skip the gym

Sometimes the best way to make a change to your workout routine is to change the place you work out. There are plenty of places outside of a regular gym where you can get your heart rate up and burn some calories.

Skip the gym

Rock climbing

Rock climbing is a fun and exciting way to exercise. According to Chris O'Connell, owner of the Boston Rock Gym, climbing is a great pastime because it works out not only your body but your mind as well. "You unlock sequences of movement and then excite them physically. Climbs that are difficult for whatever your level of fitness and expertise require focus and thought as well as power and grace to complete the climb," he said.

Trampoline park

Jumping on a trampoline is about a lot more than seeing how high you can get and how many flips you can do. Working out on a trampoline is actually a great way to get a low-impact, full-body workout and have a blast while doing it! If you're lucky enough to live next door to an indoor trampoline park, take advantage of it! Sky Zone Indoor Trampoline Park is the first all-trampoline, walled playing court, and they have locations across the country.

Hit the beach

Water is a great way to work out, and what's a better way to spend the day than hanging out on the beach? Head to your local body of water and get moving. Kim Evans, a stand-up paddleboard instructor, says exercising on the unstable platform of the paddleboard gives you an incredible workout, and it's a ton of fun. In fact, she says her class is a fun way for a group of girlfriends to spend an afternoon. "I even put together 'Bachelorettes on Boards' classes!" she added.

At home

There are days when you just can't get out of the house. This happens even more frequently if you have kids. Sometimes it's the weather or a sick child or just a lack of child care that keeps you inside, but it doesn't have to stop your workout routine. There are ways to get a workout in, even from the comfort of your own home.

At home

Workout DVDs

It's always a great idea to have a few workout DVDs at home for emergencies. Celebrity trainer Kristin McGee says workout DVDs should be easy to follow. Easy-to-follow steps, like the ones on her DVDs, are key to your confidence and feeling fabulous, both inside and out.

Streaming video

You don't have to have a workout DVD on hand to work out at home. You can stream a workout, too. SpiroFIT is a live and on-demand online fitness network. Full-length workouts range from 30 to 60 minutes, and each class is led by one of the SpiroFIT trainers. Through the network, live classes are available two days a week, and streaming classes are available anytime.

Skype training

You don't even have to go to the gym to see your trainer. Sign up with one of the many trainers who provide Skype training, like Karen Shopoff Rooff, a certified personal trainer who offers this and other online workout services. "Virtual training connects clients with specific needs or sports interest with trainers who hold specialty certifications."

Get creative

Unless you have a fully-equipped gym in your basement, working out at home means going without some of the equipment you may be used to. Get creative and find ways to get adequate exercise with what you have on hand.

Valerie Orsoni, celebrity coach and CEO of LeBootCamp, embraces the French method of exercise, which is a theory built around getting fit through your everyday chores. One of her signature moves is the Brazilian move, a way to tone your butt while you brush your teeth. To do the Brazilian, stand up straight and bend your knees slightly. Keep your abs tight and your back straight, and tilt your hips forward while contracting your glutes for a strong one-second squeeze. Finish the move by pulling your hips back, and repeat until you're done brushing.

Jaimi Ellison, president, pro elite personal trainer and nutrition consultant at Santa Cruz Core Fitness + Rehab, suggests you build an obstacle course in your living room. Ellison recommends using your coffee table for push-ups and triceps dips and your chairs for step-ups.

little one sleeps, and meet your postpartum fitness goals in record time.

When you're a mom, fitting in fitness can feel like a race against the clock. When your kiddo goes down for a nap it's time to get things done. It's a common misconception that you need a lot of time to get in a good workout. However, by choosing short but effective workouts, you can have a killer calorie-torching session in just 20 minutes. These four workouts are all effective in different ways. Each will allow you to get in a great workout before your child wakes up from their nap. All you need is a timer, a set of dumbbells and motivation!

Lotta Tabata

Tabata is a great way to get your heart rate up in a very short period of time. You do 20 seconds of hard, intense work, followed by 10 seconds of rest. Each Tabata consists of eight intervals for a total of four minutes work. You work at your level and take breaks as needed. Tabatas are a more advanced form of exercise, but they can be adapted to all fitness levels.

Perform each each four-minute Tabata by doing eight rounds of 20 seconds work followed by 10 seconds rest. Exercise tutorials listed below.

  • Tabata #1: Pushups
  • Tabata #2: Squats
  • Tabata #3: Burpees
  • Tabata #4: Plank

Cardio blast

Repeat series four times. Perform each exercise for one minute. Exercise tutorials listed below.

  • Mountain climbers
  • Butt kicks
  • Jump rope
  • Burpees
  • Rest

Belly slimmer

As moms, one of the areas we are most focused on improving is our stomach. These exercises target each area of your abs and help to whittle your middle.

Repeat series two to three times. Perform each exercise for one minute. Exercise tutorials listed below.

  • Traditional crunch
  • Bicycle crunch
  • Reverse crunch
  • Feet up crunch
  • Plank

Push-ups

Push-Up

Start in plank position with your wrists directly under your shoulders, abs braced, and feet about hip distance apart. Think of yourself as being in a straight line from head to toe. Slowly lower yourself until your arms are bent at a 90-degree angle. To modify, you can come to your knees or do the push-ups upright against a wall.

Squats

Squat

Face forward with your feet hip distance apart and lower into the squat as if you're sitting into a chair. Keep your knees in line with your ankles. Push through your heels as you stand and keep your abs engaged.

Burpees

Burpees

Begin standing. Lower down into a squat position with your hands on the floor in front of you. Kick your feet backwards and lower down into a push-up. Touch your chest to the floor and push back up. Return to the squat position. Vertically jump as high as you can.

Mountain climbers

Mountain climbers

Start in a plank position. Rest on the balls of your feet. Bring one leg forward to your chest, and then move it back to the starting position. Repeat this motion while alternating legs — one leg forward, one leg back. Remember to breathe!

Butt kicks

Stand with your feet facing forward and hip distance apart. Contract your glutes and bring your right heel to your glutes. Land softly and repeat on the other side. Be mindful not to arch your back.

Planks

Plank

For a high plank, position your hands directly under your shoulders with your arms straight and your legs straight back. Keep your abs tight and your tailbone tucked under. Imagine a straight line extending from your head to your heels. For added difficulty, you can do a forearm plank. Lower your forearms to the ground with your palms facing down and your elbows directly under your shoulders.

Bicep curls

Bicep curls

Hold a dumbbell in each hand and stand with your feet hip distance apart. Curl both arms upward until the dumbbells are in line with your shoulders. Keep your abs tight and your knees slightly bent.

Triceps kickbacks

Tricep kickbacks

Lean forward from your hips until your body is at a 45-degree angle with the floor. Keep your back straight and bend your elbows until your upper arms are parallel to the floor. Keeping your upper arm still, straighten your arm behind your body. Keep your back flat and your elbows close to your waist.

Dumbbell rows

Dumbbell rows

Keeping your knees bent, lean forward from your hips. Let your arms hang down and a bit forward. Pull your arms up until your elbow is pointing toward the ceiling and your upper arm is parallel to the floor. Keep your back straight and your abs braced for this exercise.

Lunges

Lunges

Stand with your feet hip distance apart. Take a large step forward with your right leg. Lower your hips down until both legs are at 90-degree angles. Be mindful to keep your front knee directly over your toes. Repeat on the other side.

Traditional crunches

Traditional crunch

Lie with your knees bent and your feet flat on the floor. Place your hands lightly behind your ears or crossed across your chest. Contract your abs and lift your head and upper torso off the ground while pressing your lower back into the ground.

Reverse crunches

Reverse crunch

Start with your feet flat on the ground. Bend your legs at the knee and raise your feet so that your knees are over your hips. Contract your abs and lift your knees toward your chest until your lower back and hips are off the ground.

Bicycle crunches

Bicycle crunch

Start by lying flat on the floor. Lift your knees to a 45-degree angle. Touch your elbow to the opposite knee as you twist back and forth. Legs mimic the motion of riding a bike.

Feet-up crunches

Feet up crunch

Use the same movement as the traditional crunch, but instead of having your feet flat on the floor, your legs extend straight up. Keep your feet in line with the hips. Contract your abs and lift your head and torso off the floor.

Before starting a new exercise program, make sure to check with your healthcare provider. Most healthcare providers recommend waiting six weeks post delivery before beginning to exercise. The amount of time your body needs is highly individualized and dependent on a number of factors.

Workout moves for mom and baby

Being a new mom is challenging on a good day, and it can be difficult to find time to fit in exercise. A lack of time and childcare can offset even the most determined person. Luckily, there are some exercises you can do that use your baby as resistance while providing you the chance to bond with your baby. The best part? These exercises can still be done as your baby becomes a toddler — the weight just gets to be more challenging as they grow! You can perform the following exercises as a circuit for two to three rounds.

1

Squat

Squat-with-baby

Hold your baby close and put your feet hip-distance apart. Sit back into a squat as if you're sitting into a chair. Keep your knees over your ankles. Power through your heels as you stand, and keep your core engaged. Do 10 to 15 repetitions.

2

Lunge

lunges-with-baby

Hold your baby close and take a large step forward. Lower yourself until both knees are bent to 90 degrees. Keep your front knee directly over your ankle and your abs tight. Aim for 10 lunges per leg.

3

Leg extension

leg-extension-with-baby

This is a great exercise with older children. Sit in a chair and position your child over your shin and sitting on your foot. Holding onto their hands, lift your leg straight up. Do 10 repetitions per leg.

4

Glute bridge

glute-bridge-with-baby

Lie on your back with your knees bent and your feet hip-distance apart. Sit your baby on your lap. As you exhale, raise your hips and push your heels into the floor. Do 10 to 15 repetitions.

5

Shoulder press

shoulder-press-with-baby

Using your shoulders, raise your baby into the air. Keep your abs tight to protect your back. Do 10 to 12 repetitions.

6

Push-ups

There are two variations you can try. For the traditional push-up, start in a plank position with your wrists under your elbows and your abs engaged. Lower down until your elbows are bent to 90 degrees, and give your baby a kiss! Shoot for 10 to 12 push-ups.

push-ups-with-baby

A second variation is a triceps push-up. Start in plank position with your hands shoulder-width apart. Lower your chest to the floor while keeping your arms parallel to your sides and your elbows pointing back. You can come to your knees to make both push-ups easier.

7

Plank

plank-with-baby

Place your baby on the ground below you and stay in a high plank with your shoulders directly over your wrists. Check your body in a straight line. Sing a song to your baby. "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" takes about 30 seconds to sing.

8

Boat

boat-post-with-baby

From a seated position, bring your knees together. Place your baby on your lap and slowly raise your feet. Sing "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" to make it more fun!

Before starting a new exercise routine, always check with your healthcare provider. Take it slow with your baby and make sure that your baby is safe the entire time. Keep in mind that if you had a C-section, your body will likely need a longer time to recover.

When you're working with layman makeup skills, getting perfect natural-looking foundation coverage is more than a little frustrating. Do you use a sponge? Your fingers? One of those fancy foundation brushes?
Makeup applied with beauty blender

The little sponge wonder

When you're working with layman makeup skills, getting perfect natural-looking foundation coverage is more than a little frustrating. Do you use a sponge? Your fingers? One of those fancy foundation brushes?

A new product has come on the market, dubbed the "beauty blender." This eco-friendly reusable sponge gives great coverage without the product waste and mess of your everyday wedge sponge. Plus, it's easy to use. We consulted with Houston-based bridal and editorial makeup artist Lisa Pelayo on how best to use the sponge wonder.

1

Cleanse

Scrub up! Prepare your skin as normal. Cleanse, exfoliate, moisturize and use a foundation primer, if desired. A fresh face is the perfect canvas for makeup application, so you want to make sure your skin is looking your best to get ideal coverage.

2

Wet your sponge

Wet your sponge

Run your beauty blender sponge under the tap, and then squeeze it to wring out excess water. If you need to clean your sponge, now would be a good time, before you use it on your face. Make sure the sponge has the perfect consistency before using it. "The blender will enlarge and will also feel fluffy to the touch,"Pelayo says.

3

Foundation

Foundation

Pour a small amount of foundation on the back of your hand, warming it to create a smooth consistency for application. Press the smaller tip of the sponge into the makeup. "In small dabs, start applying your foundation on your forehead and work your way down to your nose, then towards the outside of your face," Pelayo says. "For fuller coverage, repeat this step until desired coverage is reached."

4

Don't forget the small spots

Use the tip of the beauty blender to reach any spots you might have overlooked, like the inside corners of your eyes, the outer crease of your nose and your jawline.

Don’t forget the small spots

5

Conceal

Still have some imperfections uncovered? The beauty blender can handle that, too. Adding a small amount of concealer to the back of your hand, dab the moistened sponge in the product. "Start by pressing on your concealer using the pointy tip of the beauty blender, and be sure to dab underneath the eye, working your way from the inner corner to where the coverage is needed," Pelayo suggests.

Don’t forget the small spots

6

Little extras

The beauty blender is also a great way to apply other liquid makeup, like cream blush. "When applying blush, be sure to only get a quarter-size amount on the beauty blender to prevent applying too much color to the cheek," she says. "Smile and dab the blush along the apples of your cheeks or wherever you prefer to apply your blush, and then proceed to blend."

Don’t forget the small spots

7

Finish as desired

Now that your beauty blender application is finished, you can proceed with finishing powder, bronzer, blush and highlighter as desired.

The Walking Dead recap: Rick finds his sanity

$

0
On The Walking Dead Season 3 finale, called "Welcome to the Tombs," Rick and the rest of the prison group prepare for an invasion from the Governor, while Andrea fights a war of her own.

The Walking Dead Season 3 finale

As the Sesaon 3 finale of The Walking Dead opens, we are focused on a single eye. The shot widens, and we see the eye belongs to the Governor , and we also see that he is apparently beating someone senseless. Considering that he's had Andrea locked up in his torture chamber for a little while now, the assumption would be that it is her. I had a feeling it wasn't her, but I never in a million years thought it would be Milton .

Last week's recap of The Walking Dead: The ultimate sacrifice>>

So began the most heartbreaking story in this episode. The Governor tries to force Milton to kill Andrea. Milton tries to kill the Governor instead and is mortally wounded. But as he did with Merle, the Governor doesn't finish Milton off. He instead leaves Milton locked in the room with Andrea so that he'll turn into a zombie and kill her. Before dying, Milton tells her he left her a tool she can use to escape. She tries but is unable to get free in time, and though she kills Zombie Milton, it's not before he bites her.

Meanwhile, Rick and the group are preparing to leave the prison, but once again, I knew that not all was as it seemed. The Governor arrives to find the place deserted, but as the Governor's people explore deeper, they find a trap has been set and some of the prison group is still there. They beat a hasty retreat, and he promptly kills almost the entire group as punishment. He then takes off with the last two men he has left — and that is the last we see of him in the episode.

One woman survives the slaughter and is found by Rick, Daryl and Michonne , who were on their way to Woodbury to finish off the Governor. When they hear what he did, they go back instead to warn the people there and also to look for Andrea. They do find Andrea, but she is already burning with fever, and she demands Rick's weapon so she can finish herself off.

Carl has his own story throughout the episode. First we see him angry at his father, but we don't know why. Then it becomes clear that he wanted to stay to defend the prison. When one of the Governor's people — a young man — stumbles across them and tries to give himself up, Carl shoots him without hesitation. Carl claims to his father it was self-defense, but Hershel tells another story. Just when I start to think Carl has completely lost it, he gives Rick an explanation for the killing that sounds almost sane.

Why The Walking Dead wins with women>>

In the end, Rick proves once and for all that he is no longer the cold-blooded man that he was at the beginning of the season. He takes in the Woodbury refugees, and doing so seems to calm his unsettled mind. When he looks up to the catwalk where Lori's ghost has stood to stare at him before, she is suddenly gone. It felt like her absence meant that he had done something right, and I think we may have a sane Rick next season.

My favorite bits

"In this life now, you kill or you die. Or you die and you kill."— That could be the tagline to the entire show.

"He's still a kid. It's easy to forget."The Walking Dead Season 3 finale

The short, sweet moment between Daryl and Carol when she told him that Merle had given them a chance.

Rick telling Michonne that he wouldn't have taken her in without the baby formula, and Michonne pointing out that he could've just taken it.

Finding Milton's death more torturous because of how long it was being dragged out. It was both beautiful and horrible at once.

Milton asking, not telling, Andrea to find something sharp and stab him in the head.

"I'm still here... I'm still alive."
"Yep, you are."— *sniffs* There came the first tears of the episode for me.

Finding out that Rick and his group had set up a booby trap for the Governor and his group. Loved Maggie and Glen in the body armor.

Rick taking a minute to kiss his daughter and hug his son.

"Just the three of us? All right."— Gotta love some badass Daryl.

Two zombies, one slash. Nicely done Michonne!

"No one could make it alone now."
"I never could."

"I just didn't want anyone to die."

Andrea asking for Rick's gun so she could take care of herself.

"I tried."
"You did."

Rick, Tyreese and Daryl waiting outside that door.

Rick looking up and not seeing Lori.

What did you think of The Walking Dead Season 3 finale? Which deaths did you predict? Got any theories on where we'll start out next season?

Based on the British TV series from the 1970s, this movie is a crime drama starring British actor Ray Winstone as a jaded cop who's having an affair with his boss' wife.

2) John Dies at the End

This movie is about soy sauce — but not the kind you put on your sushi. In this story, "soy sauce" is a futuristic street drug that makes LSD seem tame. Starring Paul Giamatti, this indie movie is perfect for those who like to take a walk on the wild side.

Rotten Tomatoes: 60%

3) Hemingway and Gellhorn

Nicole Kidman plays a World War II correspondent who has a steamy romance with Ernest Hemingway, played by Clive Owen. This love affair provided the inspiration for Hemingway's book For Whom the Bell Tolls.

Kourtney Kardashian is considering making a huge sacrifice for her sister, but not a lot of people are happy about it.

The Kardashian sisters Khloé Kardashian has been facing a very public struggle with her attempts to conceive. Now it looks like at least one of her sisters may be willing to help out. During Sunday's episode of Kourtney & Kim Take Miami, Kourtney Kardashian admitted she is thinking about carrying a child for Khloé and her husband, Lamar Odom.

According to the Huffington Post, Khloé admits that she does not ovulate and she is taking pills to thicken the lining of her uterus.

"If that doesn't get thicker," she said, "then I cannot carry a baby."

But Kourtney Kardashian knows she is very capable of carrying a baby, as she has two of her own. In this episode of the show, she asks her boyfriend what he would think if she decided to be a surrogate for her sister.

"I wanted to ask you your thoughts on me being a surrogate for Khloé," Kourtney asks boyfriend Scott Disick. "How would that make you feel?"

Disick seems to think there are better ways to handle the situation than for his girlfriend to carry a baby for her sister.

"That's weird," he says. "Why wouldn't you adopt a kid in need?"

Kourtney explains they would probably want a "blood child," but Disick seems very disturbed by the conversation.

"You don't just go putting babies in other sisters because you can," he says, according to the Huffington Post. "This is not a normal conversation to come home with! It's too much for me. This is freaking me out!"

Kourtney explains to her boyfriend that she is only thinking about it and nothing has been decided yet. What's more, Disick seems to have come around by the end of the episode.

"I want her to be happy and I feel like she wants a kid so bad," he told his girlfriend. "I take back some of the things I said to you thinking you were crazy about carrying her child. I still think it's a huge decision, but I understand why you'd want to do that for your family."
