Eva Longoria Just Welcomed Her First Child

Eva Longoria, the actor behind everyone's (or at least my and my college roommates') favorite bratty housewife of yore, just made a major step into her biggest role yet: mom to a newborn son.

Hola USA reported the happy news today that Longoria gave birth to her first child with husband José Bastón on Tuesday, June 19. And because we know you're dying to know: Santiago Enrique Bastón is the name of the cutie in question, and he showed up at 6 pounds 13 ounces at Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

The couple, who got married two years ago in Mexico, shared the first photo of baby Santiago with Hola, adding that they "are so grateful for this beautiful blessing." Take a look below (the pic doesn't show much baby other than an adorable ear and tiny fist, but it is photographic proof of one thing for sure: Longoria's face survived childbirth way better than mine did. Ah, celeb magic.)

Longoria previously told People about the birth that she was, "[n]ervous, excited, emotional." She also explained that her whole family was planning to be there for the birth. "They won’t be in the delivery room but they’ll be there," she said, referring to the hospital.

And although little Santiago is Longoria's firstborn, he's got a built-in set of older siblings to guide/spoil/annoy him for life: Mariana, Natalia and José, Bastón's three kids with former wife Natalia Esperón. We can only imagine the epic chic pajama parties these kids are gonna get into.

The Clooney Foundation for Justice Just Wrote a Very Big Check

George and Amal Clooney believe families belong together, and they’re putting their money where their mouths are. In response to the immigration crisis wherein children are reportedly being separated from their parents at the U.S.-Mexico border, the high-profile Hollywood couple is making a sizable donation to help those families in dire need of assistance.

More: George & Amal Clooney Used Their Checkbook to Make a Huge Statement

Putting the crisis into a stark light for the Clooneys are their own children, twins Ella and Alexander, and how they’ll one day interpret what is happening now.

“At some point in the future, our children will ask us: ‘Is it true, did our country really take babies from their parents and put them in detention centers?’ And when we answer yes, they’ll ask us what we did about it. What we said. Where we stood. We can’t change this administration’s policy but we can defend the victims of it,” the Clooneys said in a statement to People

To that end, they elaborated, “Today, the Clooney Foundation for Justice will donate $100,000 to the Young Center for Immigrant Children’s Rights.”

According to the center’s website, their mission is to champion the interests of unaccompanied immigrant children with due regard to the child’s expressed wishes and to act as trusted allies for these children during deportation proceedings.

Maria Woltjen, the Young Center’s executive director, expressed the organization’s gratitude to the Clooneys for their gesture, saying, “We are doing everything we can to advocate on behalf of the thousands of children who are separated and alone, and we are grateful for the generous support of George and Amal Clooney and the Clooney Foundation for Justice — it could not have been more vital at this time.”

Woltjen also echoed the Clooneys sentiments toward the nation’s new zero-tolerance immigration policy.

“This Administration’s policy disregards international law and basic principles of human decency,” she told People. “To treat children in such a cruel manner not only violates their legal rights but also their basic needs.”

More: Why You May Not See George Clooney in Any Movies for Awhile

Per the Associated Press, more than 2,300 children have been taken from their parents since the White House announced and enacted this stringent policy in early May.

It's heartening to see the Clooneys once again make a donation to a cause they care about in an effort to help those in need. Hopefully, their example is one that will be followed in the days and weeks to come.

Khloé Kardashian Has Some Bad News for Tristan Thompson

Tristan Thompson may have gotten Khloé Kardashian to forgive him for the cheating allegations that rocked their relationship in April, but it doesn’t mean Kardashian is ready to forget just yet. According to Us Weekly, the allegations against Thompson will be addressed on the upcoming 15th season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians

While Thompson would undoubtedly prefer to put their drama in the past, the fact that Kardashian plans to talk about it on the family’s E! reality series should come as little surprise to fans. Kardashian and the rest of the family are famously candid (bordering on TMI) when the cameras are rolling.

More: Kris Jenner Got Emotional When Asked How Khloé Kardashian Is Doing

“They always discuss real life things on the show,” a source reportedly close to Kardashian told Us. “They’ve never ignored a topic. It will definitely be brought up, but they don’t know how much. They can film hours about it, but in the end, Khloé is one of the executive producers and will have final say on what actually makes air.”

Another source confirmed that the cheating scandal would indeed be referenced. However, they claim it “won’t be a huge story line.”

“[Thompson] doesn’t understand why it has to be addressed, but Khloé has said if it’s not dealt with on the show, questions will continue to linger. No one has heard from Khloé directly about what she felt or what she has gone through, and she pointed out to Tristan that she won’t do anything to hurt him by briefly discussing the cheating. She has moved on from it,” said the second source.

More: Khloé Kardashian Fans Won't Stop Trolling Tristan Thompson

Since the news broke in April that Thompson had been unfaithful to Kardashian with numerous women while she was pregnant with baby True, the couple has — by all appearances — been focused on rebuilding their relationship.

Despite public criticism of Thompson from her protective family, Kardashian has remained in Cleveland, Ohio, where Thompson plays for the Cleveland Cavaliers, with her beleaguered beau and their baby girl. Until now, that is. On Sunday, the pair returned to Los Angeles for the first time since True’s birth.

On Tuesday, Kardashian revealed via a Snapchat Story that perhaps the new parents hit the town a little too hard upon their return. Doing some playful verbal sparring with her trainer, Kardashian joked, “Look who’s back and in business. What do you got to say, Don?’ The fit mama then added, “OK, I’m hungover today, but we’re still going to make this work.”

That hangover likely came courtesy of the club Kardashian and Thompson were spotted at on Monday. But hey, no big, right? New parents definitely need to blow off steam sometimes. Just like they occasionally need to reward their hard work in the gym with a little Mickey D’s — on Tuesday, the couple hit up a McDonald’s drive-thru, where Kardashian ordered (and subsequently noshed on) french fries.

More: Baby True Is "The Only Thing' Keeping Khloé Happy Right Now"

“Khloé and Tristan seem to be in the best place they’ve been since the scandal… Khloé’s super family-focused and wants to keep their family together. The focus is on their newborn daughter. Tristan’s been supportive and helping out when he can,” a source told People, adding that “no one was anticipating” that Thompson would actually return to Los Angeles with Kardashian.

As for how her famous family feels about her boyfriend, Kardashian is reportedly unbothered by the concern Kris Jenner and the rest of the Kardashian-Jenner clan has expressed.

Insists People’s source, “Khloé doesn’t seem too concerned [with] how they feel about Tristan. She still thinks she’s making the best choice for her and True. She doesn’t need her family’s approval and will keep doing her thing.”

These Are the Causes of Hormonal Imbalance & How to Treat Them

$

We talk about hormones a lot, but do we really know what we’re talking about? Whether we’re referring to an emotional woman as being “hormonal” (hint: Don’t do that), or talking about sex drive or their part in the reproductive process, it’s clear that they play an important role in how our bodies function.

Along the same lines, people seem very concerned by hormonal imbalance. It sounds serious — we need balance, right? — but what does it actually mean? We spoke with several OB-GYNs to find out.

What are hormones?

Before we get into hormonal imbalance, it’s important to talk about what hormones actually are. According to Dr. Patricia Lo, an OB-GYN at MemorialCare Saddleback Medical Center in Laguna Hills, California, hormones are chemical messengers produced by glands in the endocrine system to help coordinate and dictate different body system functions. They also can regulate a whole host of functions, such as metabolism, appetite, sleep, reproductive cycles, sexual function, mood and stress, she tells SheKnows.

More: What Is Premature Menopause & What Can You Do About It?

How do hormones become imbalanced?

There are many hormones that can affect a person with a uterus’s reproductive function throughout their lifetime — the two primary ones being estrogen and progesterone. The relationships between these hormones are complex, and they naturally fluctuate at different times of our lives, Lo explains, noting that overproduction or underproduction of these hormones can result in hormonal imbalances.

But if you’re picturing a weighing scale with estrogen on one side and progesterone on the other trying to stay balanced, that’s definitely an oversimplification. In fact, Dr. G. Thomas Ruiz, an OB-GYN at Orange Coast Medical Center in Fountain Valley, California, tells SheKnows that he finds the term “hormone imbalance” to be “too generic and technically not accurate.”

He explains that in a normal menstruating person, the first half of the cycle, (called the follicular phase) is dominated by estrogen. Then, the second half of the cycle (called the luteal phase) is dominated by progesterone. “The luteal phase has both estrogen and progesterone,” he notes. “If there is no pregnancy, the egg dies and the corpus luteum stops producing hormones, hormone levels drop to near zero and this triggers a period.”

In addition, Ruiz says that each cycle in itself is unique, with slightly differing hormone levels. People under 40 years of age who ovulate generally have good-quality eggs, making hormone variation from cycle to cycle pretty steady, he explains. However, as the person approaches menopause, the egg quality is less consistent, resulting in more variation in hormone levels, Ruiz says.

“This will lead to perimenopausal vasomotor symptoms or abnormal menses, PMS type symptoms, sleep disturbances and difficulty concentrating,” Ruiz explains. “Generally speaking, one does not need to measure hormone levels because they vary from day to day depending on what day you are in with respect to the cycle.”

More: What to Eat If You're Going Through Perimenopause

Along the same lines, menopause — when a person who menstruates hasn’t had a period for one year — can also be behind hormonal imbalances, Dr. Mary O’Toole, an OB-GYN at Saddleback Medical Center in Laguna Hills, California, tells SheKnows. While the average age for a person to go through menopause is around 51, symptoms may begin as early as 45 or 46, she says.

Polycystic ovarian syndrome

But hormonal imbalances are not limited to those with menopause: They are also related to a condition called polycystic ovarian syndrome.

According to Dr. Yen Tran, an OB-GYN at MemorialCare Medical Group in Fountain Valley, California, when a person has PCOS, their ovaries produce more follicles than usual, which in turn produce higher testosterone levels.

Some of the symptoms associated with a hormonal imbalance because of PCOS include growing hair on the facial area (chin and upper lips), abnormal uterine bleeding or no periods for months or weeks, Tran tells SheKnows. It can also result in obesity, a higher chance of developing diabetes, high blood pressure, infertility and uterine cancer later in life. Treatments for this type of hormonal imbalance include birth control pills, ovarian drilling procedures, laser hair removal (for the unwanted hair) and the drugs spironolactone or metformin, she adds.

“Birth control pills, patches and vaginal rings can help lower testosterone levels and improve excessive hair growth [and] hormonal breakouts,” Lo explains. “Exercise and eating a healthy diet can also help combat insulin resistance associated with PCOS. For women with PCOS who are planning pregnancy, medications such as letrozole or clomiphene citrate may help a woman ovulate.”

Menopause & beyond

People going through menopause transition or menopause may experience symptoms of hormonal imbalance, Lo explains. Estrogen changes during menopause can impact our brain chemicals; for example, decreasing levels of estrogen can trigger hot flashes and night sweats, she says. This can also result in some people experiencing memory problems or feelings of “fogginess” as well as moodiness, feelings of depression, poor sleep quality, decreased sex drive and vaginal dryness, Lo adds.

“The imbalance is going to vary from person to person,” O’Toole explains. “[For] some women, [it] is subtle; for others it can be extreme. The changes that they are experiencing are related to the changes with their estrogen and progesterone.”

According to O’Toole, subtle changes involving these hormones can be detected as early as age 40. “As a woman’s cycle approaches her menses, the estrogen decreases and most of the symptoms of menopause are due to a low estrogen, and this is because as we age, the ovaries release less and less estrogen,” she explains.

Treating hormonal imbalance

When it comes to treating hormonal imbalance, there is no one-size-fits-all option. “In each case, the care and treatment is individual, and this can vary from woman to woman,” O’Toole says, adding that she works with patients to discuss all options, including herbal remedies, acupuncture, hormone replacement and antidepressants.

Hormone therapy can help with treating the symptoms of hormone imbalance, primarily hot flashes and night sweats, Lo explains, noting that there are many well-studied FDA-approved hormone therapy options. When taking hormone therapy, she recommends starting with the lowest dose to prevent side effects.

Ultimately, Lo says it’s best to talk to your OB-GYN about your symptoms to find the best treatment for you, which could include different pills, patches, gels, creams, mists and vaginal rings, among other things.

A healthy diet can also play a role in treating hormonal imbalances, O’Toole says. She recommends getting 1,200 milligrams of calcium and 2,000 IU of vitamin D each day — ideally from your diet. And lastly, she says that counseling can be very helpful for patients whose hormonal imbalance has affected their quality of life.

So, while there’s no quick and easy fix for hormonal imbalance, there are several options out there to discuss with your doctor in order to determine which is best for you.

How to Build the Ultimate Kids Summer Camp Care Package

$

Summer camp is an excellent way for children to make friends and gain independence, but that doesn't mean kids of all ages won't want to have a piece of home with them while they're away. In addition to the other items on your summer camp packing list, send your camper off into the (supervised) wilderness with a box of treats that will enhance their experience and let them know you care.

You can pack these items in advance, or you can mail them as part of a surprise gift package (just reference your camp's rules on presents).

1. Canvas backpack with fabric pens

Canvas backpack on a white background

Send your kid off to camp in style with a canvas backpack that’s both functional and stylish. Include a pack of fabric pens so your kid can have their new friends sign it. In addition to holding their essentials (bug spray, sunscreen, journals and treats), these bags will serve as a great summer memento for kids once camp is over.

Tom Clovers canvas backpack, $29.99 at Amazon

2. Reading light

Blue kids' reading light with multi-colored polka dots on a white background

As much as we’d like to think our kids will obey “lights out” orders, there’s a chance they’ll want to continue reading or coloring after a long day of play. Pack a clip-on light in their care package to ensure their creative journeys don’t interfere with the other campers’ sleep.

3. Healthy treats

Bowl of trail mix with dried bananas, pretzels, dark chocolate, and dried cranberries

One of the best parts of summer camp is the food. Who among us doesn’t love a good chili dog? That said, you want to make sure your child also has a selection of healthy, tasty snacks on hand for when they get hungry in between meals. Pack some favorites, like this delicious nut-free trail mix from Homemade for Elle that includes pumpkin seeds, dark chocolate chips, and dried cranberries.

4. A conversation-starting card game

TableTopics teen card game box on a white background

Making new friends can be intimidating at any age. Help your teen break the ice with this conversation-starting game that asks age-appropriate questions like, “What’s the scariest movie you’ve seen?” If your camper is on the younger side, there’s also a kids version that’s great for kids ages 6 to 10.

5. Activity books

6. All the SPF

Sun Bum Day Tripper sunscreen travel kit

Many summer camps are stocked up on everything campers will need to avoid burns and bites, but it never hurts to pack extra. If your little one is only away for a week or two, travel-size kits like this one from Sun Bum — which includes sunscreen, aloe lotion and SPF lip balm — are great options. Don’t forget to pack bug repellant too!

7. Waterproof disposable camera

Fujifilm waterproof disposable camera

In a world where the majority of photos we take are digital, this suggestion might downright stun your child. But hear us out. Many camps try to limit the amount of screen time kids have, meaning they won’t be able to take photos of their new pals on their devices, which is probably for the best considering how easy it is to break a phone while rock climbing, zip-lining and playing capture the flag. Send your camper off into the wild with a waterproof camera that’s perfect for capturing their greatest adventures while also providing you with some peace of mind. Bonus: It’s always fun to explain ~old~ technology to kids.

8. Journal & pens

Journal with woodland animals

Pack a journal with a few colorful pens so your camper can document daily activities, jot down their deepest (or silliest) thoughts and draw the beautiful nature surrounding them. Tuck a handwritten note between the pages for a special touch.

9. Glow sticks

Glow sticks formed into glasses, flowers, and bracelets

Glow sticks are the perfect accessories for everything from late-night dance parties to moonlit hikes, and this party pack comes with enough goodies to share with the whole cabin crew. Camp’s gonna be lit!

10. Reusable water bottle

11. Shower shoes

Pink flip-flops printed with various cacti

While we typically love the communal aspect of camp, we’re not too keen on kids sharing germs on the shower floor. Protect your camper’s tootsies by providing a pair of shower shoes like these printed flip-flops from Old Navy.

12. Books or magazines

Image of teen book titled Framed!

Keep their imaginations growing by tossing in a new book, like a page-turning mystery or few magazines. They’ll appreciate having something to read during downtime or before bed. If your child is a bookworm, encourage them to start a camp book club that they can continue with their friends once summer’s over.

13. Family photo (glitter optional)

Clear photo frame with gold glitter and a picture of a dog

A photo of the family or the family pet can mean a lot to a homesick-prone camper. Up the cool factor by sending an acrylic frame filled with sparkling glitter for the ultimate bedside display.

There's Now a Scientific Explanation for Why Mac & Cheese Is So Addicting

$

Mac and cheese: that sinful, carb-loaded bowl of comfort food that should only be consumed sparingly. Or at least that's how we used to feel about it. Because now we feel zero guilt after reading a recent study that basically called mac and cheese the "perfect food."

More: Whitney Port Has Never Eaten Pasta — No, We're Not Kidding

Last week, a study published in the journal Cell Metabolism found that when fat and carbs are combined in one single food, they're more rewarding than foods that have just one of the two aforementioned energy sources. And do you know what has both? A big, heaping bowl of ooey-gooey mac and cheese.

According to the study, fatty foods — like cheese — trigger a pathway of signals to reward centers in the brain, while carbohydrate-loaded foods — like pasta — take another route. So when combined, our brains light up like crazy. “Our study shows that when the signals are combined they make foods more reinforcing," Dr. Dana Small, professor of psychiatry at Yale and senior author of the paper, told YaleNews.

As part of the study, 56 participants rated a collection of pictures of snacks — all of which fell into one of three categories: fat, carbohydrate or a combination of the two — for "liking, familiarity, estimated energy density and total calories." Participants then fasted, and, once they arrived at the lab, were fed breakfast. After three hours, they were asked to bid for the snacks they previously rated — all the while hooked up to an fMRI scanner, which showed what was happening in their brains as they bid. In the end, the study found that not only did the reward centers of the brain fire up more for snacks in the fats-plus-carbs category, but participants were also willing to pay more for said snacks.

Now, the study didn't specifically call out mac and cheese. But, as Popular Science pointed out first, this particular popular meal — as well as ice cream and french fries — fit the bill. Cheese is low in carbs, but high in fat, while pasta is a complex carbohydrate, but low in fat. Combine the two, and — voilà! — the ideal meal.

One thing to note about this study, though, is something Small highlighted: Foods high in fat and carbohydrate do not exist in nature — except for one: breast milk, which happens to contain lots of fats and carbs — and it makes sense considering infants must to learn to suckle in order to survive.

More: 26 Easy-to-Make Pasta Recipes to Bring to Work

In the end, though, don't take this study to mean that you should go buck wild with the mac and cheese and french fries.

"In the modern food environment that is rife with processed foods high in fat and carbohydrate like donuts, French fries, chocolate bars, and potato chips, this reward potentiation may backfire to promote overeating and obesity," Small told YaleNews.

In all, though, let's all give science a big round of applause for telling us what we always knew: Mac and cheese is truly perfect.

How Much Cake Do You Really Need for Your Next Birthday Party?

$

0

Picking up a cake — be it for a birthday or other holiday — from the store is easy enough, but have you ever put much thought into how much cake you need? Probably not, and, honestly, we haven't either — until now.

Sure, having too much cake doesn't seem like a problem, but think about it: If it doesn't get gobbled up soon after the party ends, you're left with stale cake just sitting in the fridge for days on end, inevitably needing to be tossed. But what's worse is not having enough cake to go around, and, well, no one wants to be part of that party, right?

That's where these guidelines come into play. Follow them, and you'll have just enough slices for everyone at the party.

More: 2-Ingredient Dessert Recipes That Will Satiate Your Sweet Tooth

The guest list

Before all else, decide on the number of guests you are having at the party. Depending on this number, you may find yourself experimenting with different ingredients available in bulk or opting for a smaller, more elaborate cake. Write this number down or ensure that it is integrated into all of your birthday party planning.

The round cake

Round cakes can range in size from 5 inches to 12 inches and can be a single layer or many layers. If you are planning on making or buying a layered cake, you should realize that a single 12-inch cake will yield approximately 25 servings, while it will usually take about three 10-inch cakes for 50 people to each have a slice. However, if you are planning a big party of around 100 people, you will need at least six 10-inch cakes.

The sheet cake

Sheet cakes are readily available at most grocery stores and warehouse outlets. Here are some of the most common options for sheet cake. Keep in mind that serving sizes vary a bit depending on how big you cut the slices.

  • Quarter sheet cakes are, just as the name describes, approximately one quarter of the size of a full sheet cake. The dimensions are generally 9-by-13 inches and may come in single or multiple layers. Quarter sheet cakes are typically rectangular making them a great choice on which to add graphics or messages.
  • The half sheet cake is approximately 11-by-15 inches in size and typically one layer that serves 30 to 40 people. Half sheet cakes are great for any birthday celebration and are also easily decorated with creative messages or graphics.
  • The full sheet cake is approximately 18-by-24 inches in size and typically one layer. The full sheet can serve 70 to 80 people and is a wonderful centerpiece at any grand celebration.

More: 18 Unbelievably Tasty 3-Ingredient Dessert Recipes

Additional desserts

If you plan on serving any other desserts besides the cake, make sure to decrease the size you need accordingly. If you will be having cookies and ice cream in addition to the birthday cake, lower your cake size to reflect that most people will not come for seconds, or will prefer smaller pieces.

Take home

Consider investing in a few disposable take home boxes to put in leftover cake and desserts. This will not only keep the cake from winding up on your waistline, but ensure that everyone had a chance to sample of the delicious desserts.

Make any birthday party a sweet success and keep everyone one happy and satisfied by knowing how much cake to order.

This Is When & Where Gwyneth Paltrow Might Be Getting Married

Since the moment Gwyneth Paltrow and producer Brad Falchuk announced their engagement in January, rumors have swirled about the impending wedding. When and where will Goop’s head arbiter of style get hitched? Well, if Page Six has it pegged, Paltrow and Falchuk will be tying the knot sooner rather than later — or, to be precise, this summer at the bride’s Hamptons home.

Per the outlet, a source claims the wedding is set to be held “at the end of the summer, after Labor Day.” Hmm, a late-summer Hamptons wedding? We could get behind that.

More: Gwyneth Paltrow's Engagement Party Was So Fancy & Formal

According to Variety, at 6,800 square feet on 2.25 acres, Paltrow’s home in the Amagansett area could certainly accommodate a black-tie crowd. Paltrow reportedly purchased the property in 2006 with then-husband Chris Martin. At the time, the couple paid $5.4 million for the five-bedroom, seven-and-a-half-bathroom house.

However, would we really be having this conversation if Paltrow and Falchuk were getting married in the Hamptons? We have our doubts.

Celebrities are understandably guarded when it comes to details of their big day out of fear they’ll be swarmed by uninvited guests — including, of course, the paparazzi. In order to evade prying eyes, Hollywood’s betrothed have gone to great lengths to deflect attention. Stars like Amy Schumer and celebrity chef Chris Fischer didn’t dispute rumored narratives surrounding their possible nuptials, only to surprise fans by getting married somewhere entirely different.

More: Gwyneth Paltrow, Bride-to-Be, Is Ready for a Wild Bachelorette Party

Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan of Sussex could be considered another example of this sort of bait and switch. Although the royal couple obviously had a highly publicized wedding ceremony, everyone was convinced they would be honeymooning in Canada. Kensington Palace never released a statement on the post-wedding trip, feeding into speculation that Harry and Meghan could be Canada-bound.

However, upon the newlyweds return to the U.K., it was reported that they’d actually spent their first vacation together as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in East Africa.

More: Why Gwyneth Paltrow Doesn't Feel Like Divorce Is a Failure

So, while we think getting hitched in the Hamptons sounds lovely, we’re not convinced that’s where Paltrow and Falchuk will wed. Regardless, you know it’s going to be a beautiful celebration — especially considering how psyched Paltrow is about it.

Although no specific details about the wedding have actually been confirmed, Paltrow told People earlier this year that she was diving headfirst into planning. “I’m excited about everything! I’ve never had a wedding before,” Paltrow said, alluding to her elopement with Martin. “So even though I’m 45, I sort of feel like a 21-year-old.”

Jesse Williams & His Ex, Aryn Drake-Lee, Have Settled on Child Support Payments

Another major issue in the divorce process between Jesse Williams and his ex-wife, Aryn Drake-Lee, has officially been settled. Williams and Drake-Lee have been going back and forth on numerous issues following their April 2017 split. On Wednesday, we finally learned another key aspect of Williams and Drake-Lee's new normal: how much Williams will pay in child support each month.

More: Jesse Williams Is Dating Again & May Have Already Found His Next Girlfriend

According to court documents obtained by E! News, Williams will now pay $50,629 in child support each month. The money will go toward the support of his two children with Drake-Lee, Sadie, 4, and Maceo, 2. That figure was arrived at in part because the documents note that Williams' monthly income is $521,000, which the court deems "extraordinarily high." The payments will begin on July 1. Williams will pay half the amount at that time ($25,314.50) and then pay the other half on July 15.

That child support payment amount might be jarring, but when you consider that it will be paid in addition to the monthly spousal support payments Williams and Drake-Lee agreed on back in January, it's positively jaw-dropping. For those who need reminding, back in January, the exes agreed that Williams would shell out $50,695 per month in spousal support according to E! News. That figure was upped from the original $33,242. It was never made clear why that payment increased so significantly.

This new settlement will no doubt be a source of relief for both parties, especially since these divorce proceedings have been particularly acrimonious for them both. Having wed in 2012 and putting five years of marriage on the books, it's easy to surmise separation wouldn't have been easy. But this celebrity divorce has been particularly costly, especially for Williams, who also had to pay Drake-Lee's attorney fees and agree to give Drake-Lee half of his Grey's Anatomy residuals for the five years they were married.

All costs aside, we're guessing that closing this chapter of the divorce proceedings is a welcome relief for Williams and Drake-Lee.

Disney World Has No Mosquitoes, Proving It Truly Is the Happiest Place on Earth

There are a lot of annoying parts about visiting Walt Disney World in Florida, including long lines, sweltering heat and hordes of screaming, sticky, sweaty children. But one thing there's not? Mosquitoes.

That's right: Despite being located smack-dab in the middle of Florida swampland, the happiest place on Earth lives up to its name as a place that's free from those buzzing, thirsty pests. But this isn't a fortunate accident or even magic — it's all very carefully orchestrated according to vlogger Rob Plays, who posts videos giving behind-the-scenes looks into Disney World. One of his most recent videos, first spotted by Neatorama, goes into detail about this entomological phenomenon.

But before we get into that, why would Disney World care so much about making their park mosquito-free? Sure, it makes your experience more enjoyable without having to swat those little buggers away every 10 seconds, but more than that, it's done to prevent the spread of mosquito-borne illnesses like the Zika virus, West Nile virus and encephalitis. While we should all be mindful of Zika, it's especially important for people who might get pregnant (or those who might get other people pregnant) to avoid getting it. Since parents of small children fall into that category and likely make up a significant proportion of Disney World's visitors, their no-mosquito policy really makes sense.

So, how do they do it? According to Plays' video, Disney World has enacted a comprehensive strategy for keeping mosquitoes at bay. It includes maintaining populations of other critters that are natural predators as well as spraying insecticides and growth regulators, which reduce their lifespan. In other words, they're the same techniques available to everyone else.

"The impressive part is the vigilance and the precision in which Disney carries out these methods," Plays notes in the video.

And in addition to their official mosquito surveillance program (which uses carbon dioxide traps to catch and then track mosquitoes and their locations and patterns across the park), they also employ an army of chickens. Yes, chickens.

They're called "sentinel chickens," and they're located in coops throughout the property. Their blood is always being monitored for things like West Nile virus to see if any insects spreading the disease have gotten through their barriers. And don't worry: The chickens don't become ill when they have West Nile virus — they just let the Disney mosquito team know that the virus is present and being spread.

So, if you're looking for an excuse to book a trip there, I think you've just found one that will appeal to the whole family.

Gossip & Blame: Why Mothers Like Kate Spade Hide Mental Illness

$

When I was a girl in the '70s, the term “mentally ill” landed people in institutions or psych wards, and no one I knew ever talked about it openly. And "sad" was the operative word, not "depressed." Even though we are getting better at talking about depression, the stigma still exists, and the number of middle-age women lost to suicide is drastically growing.

My mother suffered from severe depression at almost the same age as Kate Spade. I was 13 too, just like Spade’s daughter. Thankfully, my mother got help in time. But when she was sick, she was not selfish, nor did she need judgment from those who blamed her for her parenting behavior. She had a disease.

I imagine Spade hid the severity of her symptoms from those closest to her. My mother did the same. Mental illness can cheat and trick even the most loving of mothers. It coerces them into believing that their children and family would be better off not knowing the whole truth, additionally convincing them that their loved ones would be happier without them.

More: Yes, People Who Are Suicidal Can Look Like They "Have It All"

Now, being a mother myself, my first instinct is to protect my children at any and all costs, to remove whatever is at the root of their pain as fast as I can — I cannot bear to see them suffer. But what if I believed I was the cause of their pain? What if my mental illness was so acute that I actually saw myself as the disease? A tumor that had to be eradicated so my child could be happy again.

When my mother was finally well, she wanted to be with me and care for me as much as she could. She couldn’t comprehend that she’d ever believed or behaved differently. It was as if she’d been kidnapped, held down by the weight of a disease that didn’t care who she was or how much she loved me.

Harsh judgments and comments from other women is one of the reasons I believe Spade tried to “power through it [depression] on her own,” as Elyce Arons, Spade’s longtime friend, said in an article published in The New York Times. Spade represented fashion meant to make the buyer feel good, and her brands were described as fun, colorful and whimsical. In a world where depression is still seen as a dark personal failing or a character flaw, Spade was most likely terrified of publicly admitting her depression. "She had everything," people have said. “Why would she do this?”

These kinds of harsh judgments and comments from other women and mothers are being shared repeatedly on social media and reinforce my belief that Spade was simply trying to protect herself by projecting the image the public expected. I understand that. My mother was also terrified of what people would think of her and the image she tried so hard to uphold.

My son was born when I was 42 — the same age Spade was when her daughter was born. Much younger mothers would ask if I was his nanny or grandmother, and I’d glance down at the size of my stomach and immediately compare it to theirs. Motherhood at middle age was much harder than I ever anticipated, and not because I was at least 10 years older than the other mothers. It was because I was surprised by how critical mothers could be, myself included, about their weight, their skin, if they were doing the right thing for their child and/or their career.

More: What People Don't Realize About Suicide Prevention

In 2016, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention reported that the highest numbers of suicides that year were those of middle-age adults, ages 45 to 54. This is consistent with a report from a study conducted abroad with the U.K. Office for National Statistics that found that depression affects adults more severely around the age of 50. However, midlife suicides for women are reported to be significantly higher than men. Suicide, in fact, is now among the top 10 leading causes of death for middle-age women, and 28 women commit suicide every day in the United States according to the Centers for Disease Control.

Psychiatrist Meghan Riddle with the University of Washington, who writes for Women’s Voices for Change, published an article in 2016 about the increase in female suicides from 1999 to 2014, pointing out that women ages 45 to 64 suffered the most and at an increased rate of 45 percent. Riddle reported that there are many contributing factors: aging baby boomers, social isolation, bereavement, finances, access to opioids and a variety of other individual factors, but one thing is clear, mental health treatment is essential for saving women’s lives at every age, but especially at middle age.

Though Spade had been seeking treatment for several years, she was also juggling multiple responsibilities at age 55: raising a child under 18, marriage after or during menopause, the pressure of continual commercial success with a new brand and persona, Frances Valentine, and all under the watchful and critical eye of the media and the competitive New York fashion scene.

The changes that come at midlife for women, menopause at the top of the list, are still too taboo to openly talk about. If you joke about it, people tune in and laugh, but no one really wants to hear about the reality of menopause, depression and anxiety like they do a fun pair of shoes or a whimsical and colorful handbag.

This is why we have to call out those who unfairly judge mothers like Spade. We need to ring the bell over and over and remind the world that mental illness is nothing to hide. It should be discussed and treated without the stigma and criticism that too often accompanies it in our society.

No one should ever be ashamed to say they suffer from depression or anxiety. Like heart disease or cancer, there should only be compassion for those suffering so that beautiful, creative, intelligent, middle-age women are no longer held hostage by this devastating disease.

Ryan Reynolds May Have Competition from This Celeb for Blake Lively's Love

Move over, Ryan Reynolds! Blake Lively has a new love interest — in her new movie, A Simple Favor, that is. Entertainment Tonight reports that after Lively shared a photo of her posters from the film on Instagram, along with a pretty hilarious caption, it sparked an interesting conversation in the comments.

We know how much Lively and Reynolds love to troll each other at every opportunity. This caption is no exception. Lively wrote, "[Anna Kendrick] is the hotter, female(r) version of my husband... so, would it reaaaally count as cheating?" along with several emojis including a knife, a dress, a martini, a bow and a black heart.

Reynolds ran with the joke, commenting, "The most ambitious crossover event in history. I'll miss you both. Tell my story."

Kendrick also chimed in with her own flirty quip: "So glad we’re finally taking this public. I let Ryan have Deadpool, he can give me this."

Fans in the comments reacted with laughing emojis and witty responses of their own. One person commented, "Damn. Even @vancityreynolds can’t compete with @annakendrick47 she’s just awesome."

In early May, Lively posted a cryptic photo of a hand-drawn hangman game on Instagram reading, "What happened to Emily?" and then deleted all of her videos photos. She returned a few days later with the first teaser trailer for A Simple Favor. Her posts have since been restored, but the move generated a lot of buzz — especially because she unfollowed Reynolds in the overhaul, which sparked divorce rumors. Those rumors have since been laid to rest

A Simple Favor, adapted from the 2017 thriller novel by Darcey Bell, follows mommy vlogger Stephanie (Kendrick) as she seeks to uncover what happened to Emily (Lively) after the latter suddenly disappears. From the trailers, it doesn't look like they play love interests; all official descriptions of the Paul Feig-directed film say that they're best friends. They are pretty flirty in the second trailer, but this film clearly isn't a rom-com. The mystery surrounding Lively's character is so good that the trailers barely give anything away.

It would seem that not even Reynolds knows what happened to Lively's character. After she posted the second teaser trailer on Twitter on May 26, he quote-tweeted the video and said, "You can tell me. We’re married. You once drove me to the hospital when you were giving birth. So... what the fuck happened to Emily?"

We're dying to know, too. A Simple Favor hits theaters September 14, so until then it looks like Reynolds will be in the dark with the rest of us.

Molly Sims on Aging & Surviving the ‘All-Consuming Vortex’ of Parenting

Minutes into our phone call with Molly Sims, we felt as though we were chatting with a longtime girlfriend — the Southern one who knows all the best beauty secrets, loves her mama and isn’t afraid to overshare for the sake of a story.

That loquacious nature not only makes her impossibly endearing, but it also served Sims well in her early modeling years, when information wasn’t disseminated instantly via the internet.

She was 19, a girl from small-town Kentucky who’d left prestigious Vanderbilt University to pursue her career. But the dawning of the digital age hadn’t yet happened, so to pick up the best tips and tricks in the world, Sims had to lean in to the best resource available to her at the time: girl talk with fellow model friends.

More: Molly Sims Says Meditation Is a Great Way to Combat Mommy Guilt

These days, Sims’ days admittedly look quite a bit different. Her circle now consists mainly of three — her kids Brooks, 6, Scarlett, 3, and Grey, 1. So while Sims long ago internalized the importance of self-care she first embraced as a teenage model, she’s acutely aware of how difficult it can be to carve out time for yourself when you’re a busy working mom. “It’s like this freaking vortex!” Sims said of the chaos of parenthood. “It’s all-consuming.”

But we shouldn’t wait until our kids are grown to start taking care of ourselves, she stresses. Sims is realistic that sometimes self-care as a mom means not trying to make it look like what you think it should.

“This morning, I tried to take a shower because my husband had dropped the kids off at school,” she shared. “I’m getting in the shower, and my 15-month-old is trying to take off his clothes to get in the shower with me. I know I’m only going to be in there for two minutes, but he had to be in there, of course. So I had my housekeeper help me, and I’m like, ‘Well, here I am, taking a shower with my housekeeper and my baby, how fun!”

This comical (and classic) story spills out of Sims without a moment's pause. She is refreshingly relaxed throughout our conversation — unbothered by pretenses and not afraid to admit her philosophy of self-love was a long time in the making.

More: Molly Sims Has Her Third Baby, & She Swears It's Her Last

“Listen, is it hard to age? It is. It’s hard. I think the biggest thing is I look back and wish I would have felt as good as I looked. I was recently with someone who’s modeling a little bit, and you just see the struggle of never feeling like you look great because you’re always being criticized or looked at,” she shared.

For Sims, self-care has been crucial. “I do think getting up and exercising or getting up and eating healthy and being conscious — that’s really helped me in my evolution of feeling good about myself,” she said.

So, at this stage in her life, if she were to give someone advice on coming to a place of self-love, she’d start by telling them to pull out a current picture and focus on the positive. “When you look at that same picture five years from now, you’re gonna be like, ‘Damn, girl! I looked awesome!’” Sims said with a laugh before adding, “Because you don’t [think that] at the time. It’s a matter of really living in the moment and being OK.”

When it comes to talking to her own children about beauty, Sims says she practices positivity, which she credits to her Southern mama. At the crux of her philosophy about fostering a healthy self-image is being a good role model and at the same time also letting her kids figure out what makes them feel good.

When Sims’ young son asked to go with her and her daughter, Scarlett, to the nail salon, Sims didn’t bat an eyelash. Instead, she asked him what color he wanted. “He said, ‘I want navy blue on my feet and light blue on my hands.’ And [Scarlett] was like, ‘I want pink on my feet and purple on my hands.’ But I never missed a beat. It was never, ‘You’re not getting that, Brooks.’ He never felt like, oh, only girls should get that," Sims said. "I try to lead by example.’”

For Sims, that means learning to embrace aging — including the features she picked apart in youth.

“You know, I have a mole,” she started, laughing. “I know that sounds weird, but I’ve had a very strong beauty mark my whole life. My mom used to be like, ‘Girl, you should make that a little darker,' and I would say, ‘Mom, I’m not Cindy Crawford.’”

Years later, Sims’ dermatologist suggested they biopsy that signature mole. Having hated it growing up, Sims was at first all too happy to see it go. That feeling turned out to be fleeting, though. “They took it off and I have never missed that mole more. I was so happy because they said it might not grow back and it grew back. Now I’m so happy with the frickin’ mole! It’s so much a part of me that I’m glad I still have it,” she said.

In fact, you could say that Sims is a bit of a loyalist when she finds something she loves. Save a few notable exceptions (namely, when she has been pregnant or breastfeeding), one beauty hack in particular has been a constant in her life.

“Literally, they’ve been my boyfriend for about 25 years,” Sims gushed to us about Viviscal, the hair care system the model/actor first learned about from a fellow model and has since partnered with. “This girl was like, ‘There’s this great tablet you can take… get it. All the girls are raving about it! It totally makes your hair thick; it makes it grow; it keeps it shiny — it’s, like, the miracle worker,’” Sims said.

It’s not surprising, though, that Sims has amassed a growing collection of beauty products she swears by. Sea Spray by French Girl, Philip B dry shampoo, Triple Sec from Drybar, a wet brush, Olaplex, Malibu C crystals — Sims rattles off some of her favorite hair products, noting, “If I’m having a good hair day, I’m having a good day. It seems weird, but it actually affects my mood.”

More: Molly Sims Says We Are All Supermodels

Still, there’s no denying that Sims has experienced a change of pace from those early mornings sitting cross-legged on the floor with fellow models, sharing beauty secrets and overanalyzing their looks. Life is still hectic but in different ways. Being a mother has shaped Sims’ approach to her career and everything else.

Now, Sims says she simply tries to live with intention and, thanks to her husband, action.

“My husband recently gave me some advice,” she shared. “I was stressing about something, and I was like, ‘I just don’t know. I’m always used to saying no.’ And he told me, ‘Say yes more than you say no. It will get you farther.’ I like that."

6 Mothers Explain How They're Raising Feminist Sons

By AnnaMarie Houlis

In her book, Dear Ijeawele, or a Feminist Manifesto in Fifteen Suggestions, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie gives instructions for raising a feminist daughter — but seldom do we talk about raising feminist sons. Rather, we teach our sons that big boys don't cry and to be aggressive in the pursuit of their goals — and we teach their sisters to be emotional (but not too emotional) and passive. That means that we sometimes, even unintentionally, teach our sons to perpetuate both obvious and subtle sexism.

But some mothers are actively teaching their sons about gender equality. Some are talking feminism at their dinner tables, and others are just leading by example. We reached out to moms raising feminist sons to ask them how they're doing it, and here's what they suggest.

More:  How One Company Improved Its Female Retention Rate by 25 Percent

1. Critically analyze the media

"One of the ways my husband and I [raise feminist sons] is to teach our children to critically analyze the media they are consuming," says Joyelle, a mother of two sons, 6 and 11. "Whenever we are watching a movie and see a moment that makes us cringe, we pause the show and have a talk with our sons about what is happening in that moment. Usually, that means identifying what sexist or misogynist beliefs are behind a character's words or actions. Sometimes it makes watching a movie feel more like work than relaxation, but I figure that in the end our sons will grow up with media literacy that we never had as kids, and that is so worth it to me."

2. Set an example

"I know that I’m doing a good job raising feminist sons when they ask my opinion on current events or seek my help with computer issues," says Varda, a mother of eight sons. "I know I’m doing a good job when my boys see my husband doing the dishes or the laundry or, even better, when my boys do those jobs themselves because I’m busy with the work that puts a roof over their heads. It’s all about setting an example. If there’s equality in the home, then there is no reason for sons to see women as less than men."

3. Equally distribute household labor

"My sons are being raised as feminist partly because they each split their chores with their sisters, my husband and me," says Lydia, a mother of two sons. "They see my husband and I divide up the dishes and the laundry, and they each help out by taking on a different task each day and rotating. One day, my one daughter is doing the dishes and the other is helping fold the laundry while the boys are helping mow the lawn or rake the leaves. And the next day they're switching it up."

4. Establish equal rules among the siblings

"When I was growing up, my mother wouldn't let me have a boy upstairs and I couldn't even date until I was 18," says Samantha, a mother of one son and a daughter. "Meanwhile, my two brothers had their girlfriends at the house all the time, and they sometimes even slept over. I want both my son and my daughter to be open and honest with me about their lives, so they're given equal treatment and rules. They're given the same curfews and they're allowed to date so long as they're honest with me about where they're going and who they're seeing. I want my daughter to grow up with autonomy, and I want my son to see that."

5. Work & parent simultaneously

"Some moms don't want to work or can't for specific circumstances, and that's fine, but I choose to work and have continued to do so even since having my son last year," Gina, a new mother, says. "I'm a single mother, and I want to have enough to support my son on my own. He's growing up with a mother who works hard and makes the time to spend time with him too. He's learning dedication and balance from his mother."

6. Talk about feminism

"My husband and I regularly talk to our sons about feminism," Patty, a mother of four sons, says. "It all started when our youngest came home asking about a girl in his class. He let us know that the teacher wouldn't let her play kickball with them because boys and girls weren't supposed to play sports together. We told him that the next time that happens that he doesn't play unless everyone can play. We teach all of our sons to practice equality and recognize sexism every day."

The purest, most genuine soul that is Queer Eye's Antoni Porowski has some news, you guys — and, no, it has nothing to do with avocados.

More: What Queer Eye 's Fab Fives' Relationships Are Really Like Behind the Scenes

QE's resident food expert is taking his culinary skills from the TV screen to a New York City-based fast-casual restaurant IRL. That's right, he's opening up his very own restaurant!

At first, he was hesitant to say anything, telling the panel he wasn't "supposed to talk about it," but quickly caved, revealing the news during a panel on Monday — moderated by Teen Vogue's Phillip Picardi — at the 92nd Street Y in New York City.

"I'm all about, like, cheese and pork belly and decadence, and as a result of the increased vanity of being on camera all the time and working out and eating healthy, I'm developing a fast-casual food concept restaurant that I'm gonna be opening here in New York."

OK, so no mention of guac, but there's still hope.

Antoni Queer Eye guac GIF

Porowski didn't reveal the name of the restaurant, and we don't know when the restaurant will open, but we do know that when it does, all us Queer Eye fanatics will be there, cash in hand, ready to try anything with the New York-based chef's name attached to it.

Plus, we can rest assured the service will be up to par — as Porowski has plenty of restaurant experience, both front of the house and back of the house.

"I was a busboy, a waiter, a manager, a sommelier... like… all of it from a family-run Polish restaurant, with, like, grandmas in the basement hand-making pierogies, to working at Bond Street for a while. I've done it all," Porowski told Food & Wine. "So I have experience more on the front-of-house side of things, but I've always had a strong reverence and a respect for chefs. I just thought of Bourdain… (pause) But, um, they've always been sort of like my rockstars and I've just always had a lot of respect for them, so for me I've always felt like I was sort of on the outside. For whatever reason, I also like to perform, so I think that's why I liked being a waiter. And I was a pretty damn good waiter."

More: This  Queer Eye Season 2 Music Video Is the Best Thing You'll See All Week

But, wait! More good news! In case you haven't heard, Porowski is also releasing his very own cookbook.

"It's a 100-recipe cookbook," he dished at the 92nd Street Y panel. "And I think... oh, my God... not one of them has avocados in it! It's turned, I realize, into my own culinary memoir, which I'm super-excited about. I've submitted 50 recipes, and I'm working on the rest, and I'm super-excited for it to come out."

Let's also hope the cookbook has a few adult beverage recipes too. We all know our boy Porowski loves to shake a cocktail shaker from time to time.

So while we wait for both the restaurant to open and the cookbook to hit shelves, we at least have season two of Queer Eye currently streaming on Netflix to continue binging. Speaking of — anyone else agree Porowski has totally upped his cooking game this season? OK, fine, a topic for another story. We get it.

Finally, the Walking Dead Season 9 Spoiler We Needed

Time jumps on beloved TV series are often contentious, especially if they're poorly executed. However, the news that The Walking Dead will jump ahead two years in season nine is welcome news, particularly for fans of the original graphic novel series. TVLine reports that showrunner Angela Kang confirmed the jump at a Kick-Ass Women of AMC panel on Wednesday, and we are so here for it.

More: 2 Walking Dead Actors Got a Promotion for Season 9

Kang is taking over the duties over showrunner from former TWD showrunner Scott Gimple next season, so a time jump feels like a fresh start for the series.

"We're playing with time in the season," Kang said. “We’re working on a season that has a really fresh look and feel. We come in on some pretty fun stuff. I’m really focusing a lot on the core character relationships in the show that have kind of been long-lasting, as well as all of our wonderful series regulars.”

Kang added that fans of the female characters will get to see some great stories for their faves as well: “For people who are really invested in Michonne, Maggie or Carol, there’s such great material for them. For people who are looking for that specifically, they will see some really incredible work from our women.”

More: Norman Reedus Posted a Tribute to Andrew Lincoln & TWD Fans Can't Deal

TV Line reports that Kang did not address the previously announced departure of Rick Grimes himself, actor Andrew Lincoln, nor the potential scheduling conflicts that may arise from Lauren Cohan (who plays Maggie) signing onto a mid-season dramedy on ABC titled Whiskey Cavalier

We'll have to wait and see how these casting changes affect season nine, especially since TVLine confirmed earlier this week that Jon Bernthal, who played Shane Walsh for the first two seasons, will return for at least one episode. How will things shake out in the future? We're eager to find out.

Everything We Know About Bachelor in Paradise Season 5 so Far

It's official! Entertainment Weekly reports that Bachelor in Paradise season five is on track to premiere in August with (hopefully) significantly less scandal than last season and a lot more wild love connections and happily-ever-afters. With new episodes set to begin on Tuesday, Aug. 7, just one day after the finale of Becca Kufrin's season of The Bachelorette, we figured it would be best to let you in on everything we know so far about season five. There's not too much yet (although we're sure that will change as time goes on), but what we do know is pretty darn intriguing.

More: Jared Haibon Proposed to Ashley Iaconetti in the Best Way

Some of the cast members are already in paradise

While filming season five in Mexico, season three contestant Jared Haibon proposed to Ashley Iaconetti after three years of friendship and just a few blissful weeks of public displays of affection. The two met during the 2015 season, and though it took them a while to really take a crack at romance, it's clear they are head over heels for each other.

Haibon shared a photo of himself and Iaconetti kissing while he carried her honeymoon-style on the beach with the simple caption, "Love works in mysterious ways." It's a sweet callback to their relationship journey, which started when he friend-zoned her during his season of Bachelor in Paradise, then later fell in love with her after the two of them spent more time together as close friends.

In a photo posted to Iaconetti's Instagram on Tuesday, two days after the proposal, she and Haibon cuddled up for the camera. Her caption reads, "This was taken the night before we became fiancés!"

People shared an exclusive photo of the moment Haibon dropped to one knee on the beach, which is super-sweet. We can feel Iaconetti's happiness radiating from that laugh!

We may see some fan favorites make triumphant returns

We know host Chris Harrison will return for Bachelor In Paradise season five, per EW. The new season will likely feature contestants from Kufrin's current season of The Bachelorette as well as contestants from Arie Luyendyk Jr.'s season of The Bachelor, but no official announcements have been made.

After a May 28 tweet from Harrison hoped for grocery stores in paradise, a potential spoiler for season five, the hashtag #bringjoetoparadise began cropping up in fan replies. Fan-favorite grocery store owner Joe Amabile, who was eliminated after just one episode of Kufrin's Bachelorette, told Entertainment Tonight that all the attention after his elimination has been pretty surprising. He also said, "I can not confirm on Paradise, but I would go, yes."

There's already drama

E! News reported on a Twitter feud that broke out between Bekah Martinez (from Luyendyk's season) and Raven Gates. Basically, Raven's hometown friend Tia Booth (another former Bachelor contestant) used to date current Bachelorette contestant Colton Underwood before filming for the season began. When Kufrin confronted him about it, he said he was only interested in her, and Booth is reportedly cool with his competing for that final rose. Then, some spoilery photos of Underwood and Booth emerged from filming in Mexico, and Martinez posted a series of tweets about it.

The fight resulted in several deleted tweets, Gates blocking Martinez on Twitter and Martinez apologizing a few days after the debacle.

So, while there's a lot of really good news, like Haibon and Iaconetti's engagement and Amabile's potential appearance on Bachelor in Paradise season five, there's also a lot of drama. Would we expect anything else from Bachelor Nation? After all, that's what keeps fans watching — and rooting for their favorites to find love.

Andy Cohen Explains His ‘Sweet’ Relationship With John Mayer

Single guys who love dogs need not worry about their chances with Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen. According to a new interview with CNN, the talk show and radio host, author and producer is not dating close pal John Mayer despite widespread rumors that their relationship is more than platonic.

More: Lisa Rinna Was Almost Unrecognizable on Watch What Happens Live

"Listen, we have a very sweet friendship, and we are together all the time," Cohen said of Mayer. He added, "I think that I was not surprised because we also have a great love for each other. So, it just seems like the obvious assumption." When asked again to confirm that he and Mayer aren't dating, Cohen said, "Right, we aren't dating."

Cohen is no stranger to talking about that strictly platonic love on Instagram, including a sweet photo from his 50th birthday party.

Mayer also posted a photo from the event, writing, "Made it just in time to give a hug to the birthday boy, strum a few songs, and take this photo with NASA-level filtering on it."

On the birthday episode of Watch What Happens Live, Mayer addressed the dating rumors himself while he acted as host on the episode.

“Do you think people wonder if we’re in a secret relationship?" Mayer asked. "We get a lot of nods from behind the bar."

The comment came after Cohen quipped, “I feel like I know your body too.”

The two also joked about Mayer's torrid dating history. The musician has a reputation for being a playboy and has written several heartbreaking songs about failed romance. If he and Cohen were dating, the lyrical fodder would be devastating based on how publicly they declare their love for one another on a regular basis.

In the CNN interview, Cohen clearly couldn't resist digging into the dating rumors with another joke when asked what he's looking for in a potential partner. "Someone who is like John Mayer," he said. "Just kidding. What am I looking for? I'm looking for someone strong, independent, smart, who has their own thing going on."

Cohen also admitted that, as best friends do, he FaceTimed with Mayer at 2 a.m. the night before his CNN interview. He then went on to talk about his love of dogs, particularly Wacha, his rescue pet and his first dog. The pair recently teamed up with Purina One for an ad campaign that promotes shelter dogs and education for K through 12 students.

From the sounds of it, Cohen doesn't even have time to be dating. We hope he finds the right guy soon and that his friendship with Mayer continues bringing them both strictly platonic joy.

On one hand, it's hard to believe Grey's Anatomy has been on the air for more than a decade. On the other, though, it seems as though the time has flown by in a blur of impossible-to-pronounce medical diagnoses, near-death experiences and many, many hookups in the on-call room. Thanks to Netflix, every season of Grey's is available for streaming, and, c'mon, who doesn't love a good Grey's binge-watching session from time to time? However, if you re-watch the medical series from the beginning, you're bound to notice a few things you didn't pick up on the first go-round.

Here are just a few of the most conspicuous things we found when we started playback from season one.

That original opening title sequence, y’all

Wow, it’s been so long since Grey’s had a title sequence that we forgot all about it. That or we chose to block the comically kitschy thing out of our brains. The garish mix of medical instruments and “sexy” stuff like high heels is low-key hilarious.

As much as we love Alex now…

He was kind of a huge ass for, well, many seasons. This started to go south when he publicly humiliated Izzie in season one, and that turned out to be the tip of the iceberg when it came to his bad behavior. It’s amazing fans put up with him long enough for him to become a fan favorite.

Season two could hold a mind-blowing clue

When Meredith’s mother first came into the hospital in season two with Alzheimer’s, we didn’t know much about her yet. That would come in later seasons through flashbacks. But after watching the series up to its current point, it seems as though conspiracy theorists could be right. What if everything that happens after this point is a dream Meredith is having? Derek’s wife had just shown up, and he’d decided to try to work it out. Meredith’s life wasn’t what she wanted it to be, and she was paranoid about getting Alzheimer’s like her mother. So… what if she did or something else happened to her and everything that came after was just a product of her psyche?

Finn didn’t get a fair shake

During Derek’s failed attempt to save his marriage to Addison, Meredith starts seeing the vet who cares for the dog she and Derek co-parent. The vet, Finn, is played by Chris O’Donnell and was recently widowed. Of course, Derek and Meredith’s love eventually eclipses poor Finn. Alas, he was probably too pure for the Grey’s world anyway.

It's a miracle Grey Sloan hasn't faced more malpractice suits

For this supposedly being a top-rated trauma center and teaching hospital, the good doctors of Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital sure seem to make a lot of mistakes. Sure, doctors are human too, and they can't save everyone. However, they seem to make bad judgment calls and made medical errors more than most.

Hold up — did they reveal Derek’s death to us in season five?

Shortly after the iconic moment in which Derek makes Meredith a house of candles, she starts having a recurring dream about Derek’s death. In the dream, he gets in a horrible car accident and Meredith watches as his life slips away. Sound familiar? Consider this too: In the same episode, he says, “Stay here. Wait for me” — which also happen to be his last words to Meredith before his actual death of a car accident in season 11.

Every episode is titled after a song

We didn’t check every single title, but we googled enough titles to feel confident making this assertion. The very first episode? “A Hard Day’s Night” by The Beatles. The title of the episode in which Derek dies? “How to Save a Life” by The Fray (you had to see that one coming, right?).

Alex needs a Mc-Nickname

Derek was McDreamy and Sloan was McSteamy, but why didn’t Alex get a Mc-nickname? Is it just because he was a resident? The thing is, though, he hooked up with some major characters along the way, including Addison (sort of) and Callie. He was a hot ticket and therefore should have his own Mc-nickname.

The curious case of two half-sisters

Meredith is shocked to learn she has a half-sister, Lexie, when Lexie becomes an intern at Seattle Grace. But then she gets the same shock later down the road when another half-sister, Maggie, shows up at Grey Sloan. It’s easier to understand how she wouldn’t have known about Maggie (no one really did), but did she really never realize her dad, Thatcher, had a family?

Derek wasn’t always so McDreamy

It seems like sacrilege to say this, but Derek wasn’t exactly the most upstanding dude. In the beginning, he slept with Meredith and neglected to mention he was still married. Then he ditched her for Addison only to cheat on Addison with Meredith. Around that time, he called Mer a whore. Derek is vindictive after Meredith tampers with his Alzheimer’s trial, telling her she can’t raise the newly adopted Zola. And let’s not forget he almost hooked up with someone in D.C. too.

Alex is always drawn to damaged women

Remember Rebecca (aka Ava), the woman who originally had amnesia and then later became suicidal? And then, of course, there was Izzie, who went off the rails after Denny Duquette died only to later find out she had a brain tumor. Jo isn’t exactly damage-free either — she used to be homeless, and she barely escaped an abusive marriage.

The surprises are never not surprising

It doesn't matter if you've re-watched Grey's one time or a hundred times, you'll never not be affected by the most shocking moments. When Denny dies of a stroke? Heartbreaking. When a gunman shoots up half the doctors and residents in the hospital? Anxiety-inducing. And when Derek does actually die in a car accident? The darkest day.

Blue Ivy is so over her embarrassing parents.

While the rest of the world would probably donate a kidney to afford tickets to mega-couple Beyoncé and Jay-Z's joint "On the Run II Tour", 6-year-old Blue Ivy couldn't have seemed less stoked to be in the crowd on June 15 in London after her parents ran some racy footage of themselves in bed on the big screen.

Her reaction could be broken down into three stages of disgust:

  1. "Oh, my God, is this really happening?"
  2. "Shit, this is not stopping; I have to cover my eyes and will it away."
  3. "Please let there be a secret tunnel below this barrier so I can run away and start a new life where my parents can never humiliate me again."

Someone, please get this kid her own Bravo show, stat.

According to Billboard, the clip was part of a montage of home videos Bey and Jay played between songs. Judging by what we can tell from the above Instagram video, Blue was the only one in the crowd who didn't love the intimate look into the Knowles-Carter household, though fans seemed to have enjoyed Blue's reaction even more.

"Lol Blue is something else. I just love this kid," one fan commented.

Another wrote, "Legit one of my favorite people ever." Same

This is far from the first time Blue has expressed her annoyance with her folks. The budding social media darling made headlines earlier this year after shushing Beyoncé and Jay-Z for clapping and cheering too loudly at the Grammy Awards, something that surely would have landed the rest of us lowly plebs in custody of the Beygency, where we'd rot in a cellar alongside Kate McKinnon.

Despite her occasional annoyance with mom and dad, Blue would probably be the first to admit that her life is pretty darn great and is filled with Target runs, lavish gowns, movie premieres and art auctions. Take the good with the bad and slay all day — that's the Blue Ivy way.
