Dance Moms' Maddie Ziegler no longer Abby Lee Miller's favorite

Favoritism has been a central theme on Dance Moms from the very beginning, with Maddie Ziegler benefiting greatly from receiving Abby Lee Miller's positive attention. If, even a few weeks ago, anybody had suggested that Ziegler might one day not be Miller's favorite, the response would have been incredulity. But now, it looks like Miller has moved on to new favorites. Could her odd behavior be prompted by jealousy?

More: The Dance Moms minis have arrived, but not everybody is excited

Miller certainly isn't as interested in Ziegler's accomplishments as she once was, although this could be attributed to her having so much going on in her personal life. During tonight's episode, Miller upset Ziegler's mom by failing to watch a video of her once-favorite student on Ellen. She then critiqued Ziegler heavily during practice. Given how often she used to compliment Ziegler, this was very surprising.

The case could be made that the moms are never happy, for, while they've previously taken issue with Ziegler's special treatment, they were not pleased to see Miller turning on her former favorite. Several viewers pointed this out during tonight's episode. Others echoed the moms' sentiments about Miller merely being jealous of her most successful student.

Miller always claims that there's a method to her madness, and at the end of tonight's episode, she stated that she pushed Ziegler extra hard so that she would step up her game and lead the ALDC to victory. This approach may have worked, but at what cost? And what, exactly, did skipping Ziegler's Ellen performance have to do with pushing her toward victory?

It's definitely important for Ziegler to continue to receive critiques, especially as she spends more and more of her time away from the studio. However, it's sad to see her former mentor suddenly act so distant. Instead of spreading the love she has for Ziegler to all of her other students, Miller has merely decided to be cruel to yet another member of her team.

Kate Hudson reveals the one decision that changed her life

Hudson’s new book, which she is currently promoting right now, outlines helpful tips for fully loving your body and creating the best life possible. But when she was asked what one thing she practiced that really gave her results, the actress pointed to daily meditation.

More: Kate Hudson's clothing slammed for catering to only one body shape (PHOTO)

According to E! News, she told the crowd at her Los Angeles book signing, "You know this is the first time I'd say a year in a half of my life that I actually meditated everyday. I made it a real clear decision to do that and to see the benefits. The results are amazing."

More: Kate Hudson reportedly tried to make Nick Jonas jealous with a naked pic

It’s hard to imagine what exactly she needed to improve in her life, but I will try whatever she recommends. Hudson went on to say, "Anybody who's ever really started a mindfulness practice recognizes when it starts to become a part of your routine and practice that it's really amazing."

And it isn’t just her mind that is seeing the results. The meditation helps her with acceptance of her body and her choices so she won’t punish herself for splurging on a trip to In-N-Out every once in a while. If that happens, she just jumps right back into her workout routine the next day. Making sure she gives herself the flexibility to enjoy life and not confine herself to one way of living has added to the benefits of her mindful meditation.

Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick may be on the road to recovery (PHOTO)

On Monday, the family got together to celebrate Robert Kardashian’s birthday and Kylie chronicled the entire thing on her Snapchat. Observant fans quickly noticed a familiar face and wondered if it meant Disick and Kourtney are back together.

The Kardashians get a lot of flak for being materialistic or famous “just because they’re famous,” but no one can ever accuse them of taking their family for granted. Especially Kourtney. From her attentive parenting, friendship with Khloé and her patience with Disick, she is always putting her family first. That’s why it’s not too surprising that he was part of the celebration.

More: Kim Kardashian reveals how Scott Disick's children are handling the split

But it’s way too soon to tell whether the two are back together. A public cheating scandal and heavy partying are extremely hard to get over. And the two have three small children — they could just be friends. That doesn’t stop fans from hoping, however.

In the Instagram post that is a repost of Kylie’s original Snap, comment seems to be an emoji-filled plea for Kourtney to take Disick back. And if I’m honest, I would love the two of them to work it out. Call me a hopeless romantic, but I think the two of them are #relationshipgoals.

I’m sure all the drama will unfold during the next season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, but in the meantime, if you want the inside scoop, Kylie’s Snapchat is the place to find it! Just beware — there are a lot of selfies.

Lorde blows everyone away with Brits Bowie tribute

More: Baftas 2016 remembered David Bowie in a touching way

There were rumours of Kate Moss taking to the stage as well as various pop artists to honour the Starman at tonight's Brits, but in the end all that was needed were a couple of his good friends, his old touring band and one of his biggest fans (who also happens to be an artist Bowie himself tipped for great things).

Annie Lennox kicked off the tribute with an emotional speech. She described Bowie as "a quintessential visionary" and "the ultimate iconoclast," and spoke of his "cutting-edge" artistic genius as "deeply embedded in the heart of British culture."

"Even if they didn't know him personally, many people must feel as if things will never be quite the same again," said Lennox as she fought back tears.

"He drew us away from our suburban lives, turning everything on its head in gloriously subversive technicolour," she continued. "There is nothing and no one else like him."

Actor Gary Oldman then took to the stage to accept the Brits Icon Award on his close friend Bowie's behalf.

"We are all coming to terms with the magnitude of David's passing," said Oldman. "The world lost a man, an artist of transcendent talent."

He described Bowie as "the living embodiment of that singular word 'icon'" and revealed that he faced his illness "with enormous courage, dignity, grace and customary humour."

Oldman ended his speech by calling Bowie "the sweetest soul ever" and said, "We love you and we thank you."

The musical part of the tribute began with Bowie's old touring band (who last performed together during the 2003-2004 A Reality Tour) playing a medley of Bowie's hits, including "Let’s Dance" and "Under Pressure," against a backdrop of images of the star.

New Zealand singer Lorde then joined the band on stage to perform "Life on Mars."

When Bowie died in January, Lorde posted a tribute online, writing, "He was a piece of bright pleated silk we could stretch out or fold up small inside ourselves when we needed to."

Lorde first met Bowie at the age of 16, at his request, at a 2013 benefit honouring Tilda Swinton, which she described as "a beautiful moment."

Of meeting her hero, Lorde said, "That night something changed in me — I felt a calmness grow, a sureness. I think in those brief moments, he heralded me into my next new life, an old rock and roll alien angel in a perfect grey suit."

According to The Mirror, the estate of David Bowie worked in tandem with Brit bosses to ensure the star was honoured in the most fitting way.

"I just want people to go away and say it was simple, it was respectful and there was an understated class about it," said Brits Chairman Max Lousada ahead of the show.

Although she has since settled down and found love and happiness with husband Tyler Johnson, Maynard's life was not always sunshine and roses. Even before the tragic death of then-fiancé racecar driver Ricky Hendrick just days before she found out she was pregnant with their child, Maynard was in a very dark place.

"Things haven't been super easy for me," Maynard told People mag while discussing her new book, I Said Yes. "As great as things are now, it's been a struggle for me. My life definitely isn't perfect. Is anybody's?"

Maynard said that after a “happy childhood” spent growing up in West Virginia, she was sent to a private boarding school in Florida as a teen — and that's where the trouble started.

"That was really hard for me," she said. "I didn't feel like I fit in."

More: The Bachelor's Emily Maynard throws shade at the franchise

Maynard said that she was hospitalized twice as her depression deepened: once after she had suicidal thoughts and a second time after she overdosed on prescription pain pills.

Now, in the wake of the suicides of fellow Bachelor franchise stars Lex McAllister and Gia Allemand, Maynard said she is very glad she was not successful in her attempts.

"It really was a cry for help," she said. "I never really wanted to end things. I just wanted attention. It makes me sad to think about. I was so focused on the part of my heart that was empty that I couldn't see beyond where I was."

Things definitely got worse before they got better — Hendrick was killed in a plane crash, and she experienced two failed TV engagements — but her life is now better than ever. She and Johnson recently had a baby boy, who joined Maynard's daughter, Ricki, in their family.

During her acceptance speech for the British Female Solo Artist award, the "Hello" hitmaker publicly declared her support for Kesha, joining artists like Taylor Swift, Lorde, Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato in standing behind the troubled singer.

"I'd like to take this moment to publicly support Kesha," said Adele as she raised her Brit award above her head.

The Manhattan Supreme Court recently ruled that Kesha must abide by her six-album Sony contract with music producer Dr. Luke, despite her claims that he drugged and sexually abused her over a period of several years. Justice Shirley Kornreich said Sony would suffer irreparable harm if Kesha did not abide by the contract.

Kardashian came under fire yet again today after Instagram users accused her of photoshopping her body to make it even more bangin' than it already is.

In a pic that has since been deleted, Kardashian came under fire for altering her image to make herself look more slender.

"[I'm] just trying to be better than I used to be. I compete with myself," she wrote in the caption.

"I love you but really? You look great you don't need to edit your pics," said one fan.

"No need to Photoshop you have an amazing body!" another wrote.

Guess what? Koko is not having it. She posted the original, unaltered photo after she deleted the one she was being called out for, and she still looks totally amazing.

"If only hatin burned calories how dope yall would be. Too bad it doesn't. Here's the OG shot. The petty movement ain't cute. Oh and I almost forgot.... Namaste (sic)," she wrote.

The irony of this, of course, is that Kardashian is completely unapologetic about photoshopping her images in general — she even told Chelsea Handler that the Facetune app is pretty much her BFF.

"Facetune is the best thing to bring to the table. It's life-changing," she said during her appearance on Handler's Netflix docuseries Chelsea Does. "It's the only way to live."

"It's not real, you are presenting to the world what you want them to believe you are. It's amazing," she said. "I think our society nowadays is so caught up on getting validation from the social world that no one really knows, so they post these things."

Honestly, the unretouched image she posted looks just as good as the one causing the uproar, so why bother?

What it was like being on a reality show with Scott Baio

More: My Law & Order audition was mortifying

Still, it was very exciting to be cast as the expert on the VH1 show Confessions of a Teen Idol . The premise was simple. Seven former TV idols decide if they want to be famous again, then hosts Scott Baio (Happy Days, Charles in Charge) and Jason Hervey (Wonder Years) help them achieve it. I was brought on as the “fame expert” (is that even a thing?) to talk these guys through the psychological trials and tribulations of being a celebrity now, since it has changed since their day.

I had a master’s degree in psychology, a pop culture–filled syndicated radio show and had just published my book Cult of Celebrity. I was as qualified as anyone to talk about fame and celebrity culture with a group of guys who, at that time, were doing less TV than I was. I had just finished two years on Tyra and was a regular talking head on a bunch of news and entertainment shows.

In fact, that was my first bonding moment with Baio. We were having lunch under some big blue tents (presumably put up to protect our supple, ageless faces from the California sun) when he came over to sit with me: “What’s Bill O’Reilly like? Is Neil Cavuto as nice as he seems?” I had been on both shows back in New York to talk about the latest celebrity drama.

It seemed Scott was a big fan of Fox News and was truly curious. He engaged me for a while, talking about other hosts and topics he had seen on the channel. I was too embarrassed to tell him I had only been there a couple of times to talk about Angelina Jolie and Lindsay Lohan, and that was the extent of my political engagement. I was just glad to have this movement with him. Up until then, I didn’t think we’d click.

Months earlier, I had been auditioning for the show almost weekly. It moved fast. It started with one casting person, then a week later a second casting person, until more people joined. The final audition was a conference call with Baio, Hervey and a bunch of executives from VH1 who riddled me with “what if” scenarios and questions about fame. I felt like I nailed it, plus I had immediate chemistry with Hervey and the producers. Baio was a harder nut to crack.

I heard nothing for months and figured it was a no-go. Finally, I got a call asking if I could start filming on Saturday. It was Monday. Hervey was awesome. He rented me a place to stay at the renowned Oakwood Apartments. He said he had stayed there early in his career and thought I would get a kick out of it. He was right — I did. The apartment complex was filled with soon-to-be-famous kids and their stage moms. Often, I would be at the gym on the treadmill next to a 15-year-old with a script, talking it through by phone with an acting coach.

Meeting my castmates was very cool, too. It was Billy Hufsey (Fame), Adrian Zmed (T.J. Hooker), Christopher Atkins (The Blue Lagoon), Eric Nies (The Real World), David Chokachi and Jeremy Jackson (Baywatch) and, the person I was the most excited to meet, Jamie Walters of Beverly Hills, 90210. If I’m being honest, while I knew who Scott Baio was, I had never seen him on TV. I remembered Eric from The Real World, and I was a big fan of 90210 but somehow Baio had escaped my radar.

We began shooting that Saturday, and I worked closely with Laura, the clinical psychologist/producer on set. Each week we would plan the next episode: “This week Jamie meets with producer Steve Tyrell to see if he’d like to record again.” Then we'd discuss what our therapy sessions would be. On my first day of shooting, I was led to my chair, mic’d and given a small wireless earbud.

“Here ya go,” the sound guy said. “What’s this for?” I asked.

He called over my producer, Rob, who explained that he and Laura would be in my ear. They’d be telling me what to say. What?

I learned that reality TV does that with hosts and experts, especially shows with such a large cast. For instance, once while I was talking to Chokachi about a casting director disrespecting him, I missed Zmed nodding behind me. Rob caught it and said in my ear, “Ask Adrian if she did the same thing to him.”

More: The Bachelorette: 10 Things that happen behind the scenes that you'll never see

Producers work hard to produce the heck out of a scene — they don’t need a host derailing it. I remember seeing Britney Spears with an earbud on The X-Factor, and I’m now convinced that every Bachelor and Bachelorette has worn one — although I have no evidence.

My favorite non-lesson, however, was an experience I had with Baio. There was one day he took me out to a picnic table for a chat, just him and me. He coached me to be tougher on the guys, to not be afraid to go after them. Then he leaned in to confide in me that, “Reality TV isn’t real.” I respected him as my boss and as someone who had been in the business a very long time, so I withheld replying with, “Duh!” and instead thanked him for his feedback.

The next day, Hufsey pulled me aside to apologize for what was about to happen. He told me, confidentially, that he was cast as “the villain” and would be creating some drama at our next session.

Then there was the editing. One promo included a moment where it looked like Chokachi called me a “disrespectful little bitch” and I seemed shocked. Except his words were from a roleplay exercise we had done in session, and my reaction was from a different day.

Nies had the most reality-TV experience of all of us and was very good at getting attention. We had been shooting a scene on Robertson Boulevard near the famous restaurant The Ivy. Eric pulled out a coconut and a meat cleaver and sat himself down on the street — and the image was on TMZ the very next day.

Mostly, TV is a lot of waiting around for shots to be set up. That gave us a chance to sit, tell stories and laugh. It’s the type of environment that helps you feel comfortable, so you end up sharing more than you had intended. In the end, it was an intense experience that lasted one short season. I still keep in touch with pretty much everyone from the cast and crew. I didn’t let the experience jade me, so I can still enjoy a season of Big Brother and all the Housewives, which I am convinced are 100 percent real.

Here’s Hufsey and me on Today promoting Teen Idol.

The redesign is a celebration of diversity and mutual respect while also paying homage to the 10-year anniversary of partnership between the bank and the parade.

The Oxford Street branch, which is on the main parade route, has been transformed into a luxurious Baroque-style space with ornate imagery in tribute to the local LGBTQI community.

This comes after the popular GAYTMs were introduced in 2014, a series of ATMs that were designed by local artists to capture the essence of LGBTQI culture in Sydney.

Carolyn Bendall, head of marketing for ANZ Australia, told SheKnows that ANZ employees initially came up with the idea to get involved.

"When we began our partnership with Mardi Gras in 2007, it was because our staff believed in the cause and were proactive in registering ANZ to be in the parade," she says.

"After seeing the positive impact this had on engaging staff, our support has continued to grow, taking us into the 10th year of our partnership in 2016.

"In partnership with Mardi Gras, ANZ hopes to continue encouraging Australians to both embrace diversity and contribute to an inclusive society and culture."

The out-there design, with its colourful murals and playful sculptures, was inspired by the LGBTQI community after the GAYTMs were so well received. The Baroque-style design was executed with the help of creative agency Whybin/TBWA.

"The Baroque-inspired aesthetic showcases the diversity of the LGBTI community in one coherent style and includes 16 hand-painted murals inspired by LGBTI culture and key LGBTI icons," Bendall says.

"Historically, the baroque period has been embraced by the LGBTI community because it is playful and fun."

Bendall says the bank is sharing a message with the wider community: "We hope we can continue encouraging our customers and the community to be themselves, whatever that may be."

Talc powder may cause cancer and it's not just in baby powder

$

Johnson & Johnson, the company with all the adorable baby commercials that may or may not make me cry an embarrassing amount, was recently ordered to pay $72 million to the family of Jackie Fox, a woman who died of ovarian cancer after years of using the company's talc-based products.

More: You can prevent cancer, says World Health Organization

The link between ovarian cancer and talc products has been established since the 1980s, according to the lawsuit, and is the reason the mineral was removed from most baby products decades ago. Moreover, Johnson & Johnson knew about it but failed to warn consumers.

Johnson & Johnson is contesting the ruling, saying the evidence isn't that clear-cut.

So what's a girl to do in the meantime? Even if you don't use Johnson & Johnson baby powder or Shower to Shower (the two products in question), talc is found in a myriad of cosmetics, particularly in "mineral" foundations. Should women be actively avoiding talc?

More: 10 toxins found in common cosmetics

Maybe, says Dr. James Sanchez, an oncologist and a cancer expert with Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada, part of the U.S. Oncology Network.

"This is a tough question to answer because when you review the studies on talc, the results are not straightforward," he explains. "The lab studies (studies on animals) have had mixed results, and the epidemiology studies (studies on people) have been retroactive where study authors are relying on people’s memories on how they used talc-based products in the past. Therefore, most of these studies are biased and may or may not be helpful."

Part of the reason for the ambiguity may be because early talc products contained a naturally occurring form of asbestos, a known carcinogen. Newer talc products, however, are manufactured without asbestos. And it's difficult to separate the two in the studies done on people.

Fortunately, there is a simple solution. Talc is not difficult to avoid, Sanchez says. "I tell my patients if they are worried, then avoid the products, especially around the genitals and face," he explains, adding that cornstarch-based products are a safe alternative for women looking for a similar powder-type product. Plus, many new cosmetics are being formulated specifically without talc (hint: look for "talc-free" on the packaging).

This may be one case where it's better to be safe than sorry, especially because there are so many great, affordable alternatives.

Sexy book excerpt: The first look at Taking Fire by Cindy Gerard

Read the excerpt from Taking Fire:

“Dinner? I can’t go out like this,” Talia protested when Taggart asked her to go out with him several days later. “I’ve been out in the field all day. I haven’t even been up to my room yet. I need a shower and clean clothes.”

“Then go. I’ll wait. I want to take you somewhere special. Someplace we can get a real meal,” he insisted, and that was the end of the discussion — almost.

His eyes were never hard or cold when he looked at her now. They’d softened to warm and intimate when he reached out and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. “Wear your hair down for me.”

More: Sexy excerpt from Legend by Katy Evans will leave you wanting more

His voice compounded the sexual awareness. Gruff and gritty and sounding very much as he did every night in her bed, where they’d spent the last six nights together. He loved her hair. She’d even teased him about having a fetish for it. He’d agreed without remorse that he loved burying his hands in it. Loved to fill those callused but oh-so-giving hands with it, then tug her down to kiss him. Loved the feel of it trailing over his body.

And she’d loved the way he groaned in deep, almost primal pleasure, the way he made her moan. One particular memory was so visual she got lost in it. And it frightened her to realize this man had such a hold on her.

“Talia?”

“Yes,” she said breathlessly, and found his hungry eyes focused on hers.

He knew. He’d been there, fantasizing right along with her. “You were going to shower?”

“Right.” She eased off the bar stool, working hard to appear collected. “Give me fifteen.”

More: An excerpt from The Rock by Monica McCarty

Then she headed up the stairs to her room, telling herself the same thing she did every day. There was nothing wrong, just because Bobby Taggart knew how to engage her libido. With a word. With a look. With a touch.

Nothing wrong with the weakness in her knees, either, or with the flush of heat surging through her body and the sweet gnawing ache that gripped her when she thought of him. Nothing wrong with spending as much of each day and all of her nights with him.

He was a striking man. A battle-hardened warrior yet a generous and giving lover. The contrasts were fascinating, and she wasn’t immune to the sheer excitement of being around him.

Going into this, she’d known she might have to seduce him.

What she hadn’t been prepared for was that he hadn’t been the only one seduced.

NCIS: 7 reasons Tony and Jeanne don't belong together

$

More: NCIS fans react to Michael Weatherly's exit in an unexpected way

So, when it was announced that Scottie Thompson would be returning to Season 13 of NCIS, it caused quite the stir among viewers. Why is she coming back? Will she get back together with Tony? Those were just two of the many questions running through my mind after hearing the news.

Well, so far, she's been featured in two episodes and has come in contact many times with Tony. Obviously, their meetings have been awkward and filled with tension, not to mention a clear attraction remains between them.

It's unclear if Jeanne will pop up in future episodes. Plus, now that Michael Weatherly is exiting the series at the end of Season 13, I'm sure many are wondering if Tony and Jeanne will ride off into the sunset together. That could very well happen, but I'm hoping that's not how Tony's story ends.

Granted, I was never a fan of the Tony/Jeanne romance, which probably had a lot to do with the fact that I wanted Tony with Ziva, but Tony and Jeanne aren't a match made in heaven and here's why.

Tony and Jeanne
Image: Tumblr

1. Jeanne is married

First and foremost, Jeanne is married to a fellow doctor David Woods, who seems like a stand-up guy. Jeanne does look to be happy with David and vice versa. That's not to say their marriage will last forever, but for right now it appears to be the right choice. I don't think either Jeanne or Tony would make a move on each other while she is married. Also, since I don't think she will leave David or Tony would ask her to leave him, Tony and Jeanne just aren't meant to be.

2. It's too late for them to move forward romantically

So much time has passed between these two and so much has happened that it wouldn't be healthy for either of them to pursue something romantic. It's best if they just forget the past and let one another move on with their lives.

3. Jeanne still hasn't forgiven Tony

Will Jeanne ever truly be able to forgive Tony for lying to her about his identity and investigating her criminal father? Even in Season 13 she is still at odds over what he did, which proves that if they got together it wouldn't be a great relationship.

4. There are too many bad feelings

Similar to what I stated above, Jeanne has a lot of anger toward Tony. When someone feels so many bad feelings for another person, can a relationship truly work?

5. Their story has already been told

Maybe I'm a bit biased here because of Ziva, but I believe there isn't much else to tell when it comes to Tony and Jeanne. Their big romance came and went, not to mention they had their falling out and somewhat cordial reunion, so what else is there to tell? There isn't much left to tell in Tony's final moments and I sure hope NCIS doesn't waste them with another Tony and Jeanne story line.

6. They've seemingly found closure

As showcased in Season 13's "Loose Cannons" episode, Jeanne told Tony "goodbye." That sure seems like these two have found a little bit of closure and are finally ready to move on from each other once and for all. If both Tony and Jeanne want to keep their lives whole and happy, then they should stick with this closure and go their separate ways for good.

7. One word: Tiva

Tony and Ziva, aka Tiva, need to be together. Before she left NCIS, Ziva's final episode showcased the tight bond and obvious feelings both Ziva and Tony have for another. Now that Tony is leaving, here's hoping he goes to be with Ziva or there is some hint that they will finally pursue a relationship.

There you have it. I will forever be Team Tiva.

NCIS airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on CBS.

Ajak Deng made the announcement in an Instagram post.

"I am happy to announce that I am officially done with the fashion industry, I will be moving back to Australia In order to live the life that I fully deserved. Which is real life," she wrote. "I can no longer deal with the fakes and the lies. My life is too short for this dramatic life. I am thankful and grateful for every sweet souls that I have crossed path with (sic)."

Deng didn't going into details about her departure, only thanking fans for their concern.

"Thank you for for your concerns but I am good and very happy with my decision. I am a fighter and a go getta, I will figured out what to do next. I love you all and thank you (sic)," she wrote on another Instagram post.

But fellow model Nykhor Paul decried the racism and sexism black models receive in the industry.

"… we black models have to stand together and support each other without fear of losing your job or being label as the big mouth angry black person, or lose the white privileges that you now think you have because we are all going through something but are not organized to speak in unison about these nonsense (sic)!!" she wrote. "… this is an industry where we the blacks models are at the bottom levels as much as they shoot us everyday we will never reach the white models level (sic)."

The modeling industry seems to be going backward in terms of diversity — white models still make up the vast majority of those on the catwalk. Supermodels like Iman and Naomi Campbell have also spoken about racism they've experienced.

"A few times I got excused by designers who told me, ‘We already found one black girl. We don’t need you anymore.’ I felt very discouraged," Iman told the Sunday Times Magazine in 2013. "When someone tells you, ‘We don’t want you because we already have one of your kind,' it’s really sad.”

Of course, we can't say exactly why Deng decided to leave modeling because she didn't clarify. It's still a serious shame that we won't see her modeling anymore.

But her personal happiness is absolutely more important than showing off pretty clothes.

"Here are 4 skin tips I've learned just over this past year that really helped the texture and shape of my face," she captioned the photo. "I lost 12 pounds this past year while training for Xmen. I kept it off by coming up w/an hour workout I do a few times a week. The weight loss leaned out my cheeks and jawline. Working out is also great for your skin because it increases blood flow to your face which helps rejuvenate (sic)."

Munn also said that learning to shape her eyebrows and erasing her "sun spots" also makes a world of difference.

"I love my freckles. But over the past couple of years I've seen more come up and merge with other freckles to make large dark spots," she continued. "Dark spots prevent your skin from reflecting light and gives you a dull complexion. So for the past year I've been diligently using Proactiv Mark Fading Pads. I wipe my face with one every night and now my face has a more even tone and the large spots aren't as noticeable."

She also swears by eating Japanese potatoes that are "high in hyaluronic acid" to keep wrinkles away.

Her next quest: "I'm still looking into what gets rid of the lines that develop around your neck," she wrote. "I think it has to do with tension and acupuncture might be the answer. When I find out more, I'll let you know."

Please do, Olivia… but remember, you looked gorgeous before and you look gorgeous now.

High school attempts to become gender neutral amid criticism

The Australian Christian Lobby reportedly condemned the gender neutral approach of Newtown High School of Performing Arts, saying they were trying to "make boys' and girls' gender disappear," but parents and students have applauded the move.

The change in uniform regulations means that students can now wear either male or female uniform options regardless of the student's gender.

Year 11 Newtown High School student, Jo Dwyer, said the aim of having the school uniform rules changed was to make it more inclusive for all students, without them having to go through a difficult process of asking permission first.

"Before the changes were implemented, students had to go through the school with parental permission and notes from psychologists before they were allowed to wear the cross gender uniform, and that wasn't really a possibility for some students whose parents aren't supportive of their gender identity," Dwyer told The Sydney Morning Herald.

More: Can we stop calling 'gender neutral' a parenting trend?

The idea of gender neutral schools is not a new one, with the practice being implemented with children as young as 3 and 4 years old at a pre-school in Sweden called Egalia. But the extent of gender neutrality extends further than clothes and toys.

Children aren't referred to as him or her, but rather "friends", their names or the genderless suffix "hen" which was coined by the Finnish.

"When we are born in this society, people have different expectations on us depending if we are a boy or a girl. It limits children," teacher Emelie Andersson said. "In my world, there is no 'girl's world' and there is no 'boy's world'," she says.

There are no boys' toys and girls' toys, but rather everything is jumbled together so children can pick and choose what they like and what they want to play with, rather than that information being communicated to them through subtle cues and social norms.

Originally from Germany, Carmen Huser, who holds a Master in Early Childhood Education and is an Education Ph.D. candidate, told SheKnows about some of her own personal reflections on gender neutrality at schools in Australia.

"When I see kids in Australia wearing uniforms, [it often] irritates me, especially when the uniforms highlight gender differences, girls in skirts especially — not every girl likes to wear skirts," she says.

"Children and young people explore and develop their identities and the most important aspect of supporting them in their identity development is to show acceptance and respect," adding that children often don't wear uniforms in German schools.

Huser says that instead of limiting children and young people's exploration of identity, we should be there to support them and encourage a development of sense of self.

"If uniforms do not represent all of the students' identities [it may be] time to design new uniforms in collaboration with students."

Introducing gender neutral uniforms could be a step towards students feeling supported in their exploration of identity. One thing is clear, children of all ages explore their own identities at different times and in different ways including with what they choose to wear.

If we can support them through that time, in any way possible, then they'll be all the better for it.

What do you think about introducing gender neutral uniforms into schools? Let us know.

Supernatural: Is the hand of God really the key to fighting The Darkness?

More: Supernatural: Castiel's refusal to eject Lucifer spells a grim future for all

While Sam and Dean were off having some amazing brotherly bonding moments by reliving their childhood at a Top Notch Wrestling match, Casifer was busy employing his minions of Hell to find another hand of God. As he told them, it's all about "ABC," aka "Always Be Closing." Basically, they need to close in on another weapon that was touched by God before Sam and Dean do.

However, before Casifer could get to one in time, Crowley stopped being his puppy and double-crossed the devil. That's right, the King of Hell is finally back. Crowley has a storage locker filled with all kinds of ancient goodies, including the rod of Aaron. This particular rod is so special because it belonged to Moses' brother and was also wielded by God on the sixth day.

Unfortunately, Crowley consumed its power to use on Casifer, which backfired. Not only did one of Crowley's former minions sacrifice herself for Casifer, but Crowley quickly learned that the hand of God is kicked after only one use. Why does it run out of juice after one time? It sure doesn't seem as powerful as it sounds.

My apologies for the brief intermission, but wasn't it worth it? OK, back to shanking The Darkness and icing the devil business. As Sam, Dean and Casifer learned during last Wednesday's episode, the hand of God just might be the key to fighting Amara. Is it really? I mean, if any artifact touched by God is so powerful, shouldn't it last longer than it does?

That said, maybe that's the point. Can you imagine if all of the items touched by God had a ton of power, which anyone could get their hands on? Yeah, that wouldn't be good to have a God-like person waltzing around Earth. These weapons only having a small amount of God's powers is probably the best way to prevent someone from consuming too much of God's abilities.

If that is definitely the case, there still has to be a way around this. It seems like the hand of God wouldn't have been introduced if it wasn't somewhat important. Maybe there is some kind of loophole in gaining more power from the items? Or maybe only a certain type of individual can access the true power in each artifact? Whatever the case, I'm curious to learn more, just like I'm sure Sam and Dean are.

Wouldn't it be nice if God just showed his face and told the boys whatever they needed and wanted to know?

Supernatural returns Wednesday, March 23 at 9/8c on The CW.

Chrissy Teigen defends her right to choose her baby's sex against haters

Teigen, who can’t help but be honest on her Twitter, tweeted that she was truly taken aback by people’s backlash. That was her first mistake — the Internet will always find something to be angry about. Especially those who follow her.

There were some fans who genuinely didn’t know about IVF and asked innocent questions, to whom Teigen was happy to explain the entire process. She even called it “fascinating and wonderful.” But there were also people who accused her of “playing God” by deciding on a girl embryo instead of a boy embryo.

This is just another example in the long list of women who continue to be told what to do with their bodies. It shouldn’t go unnoticed that Legend isn’t getting the same hate spewed at him on Twitter. Whether it’s because he’s a man or he just isn’t as vocal on Twitter is unclear, but either way, no one should feel entitled to tell someone what to do with their body or their baby.

It’s not just men trying to shame Teigen for her decision, either. Other women are chastising her. Just in case anyone reading this isn’t clear on whether or not they should support other women, the answer is (almost) always yes! There is definitely no need to seek out another woman just to make her feel bad about decisions relating to her pregnancy.

The good news is Teigen doesn’t need any help defending herself against ignorant hate online and is showing everyone exactly why she is so adored on Twitter.

Survivor has its best bromance moment ever (GIF)

Sure, there was a big blindside at Tribal Council, but the most buzz-worthy Survivor moment in the second episode of Kaoh Rong came as the Beauty beach transformed into bromance island. The bond between Tai and Caleb surprised everybody, as the two couldn't be any more different. Caleb wanted to kill a bee at camp. Tai, a lover of all things in nature, talked him out of it. There was even chatter about them cuddling to keep warm before this gem happened...

Tai tries to kiss Caleb

Tai tries to kiss Caleb

The #StolenKiss moment, which sent Twitter ablaze, was the result of Caleb offering Tai some food directly out of his teeth. Although it looked as if Caleb was completely repulsed when Tai moved in for the fishy kiss, it was actually received very well. The entire Beauty tribe giggled about it as Caleb jokingly told Tai that if he really wants a kiss, all he needs to do is ask. Tailieb, anyone?

Great Survivor bromance

Great Survivor bromance

I really hope both of these guys are kept together a while, because their friendship is so much fun to watch. The trouble is, couples of any kind are frequently perceived as too big of a threat. We shall see.

Brawn crumbles

The Brawn tribe found themselves facing their second Tribal Council in a row after losing yet another immunity challenge. Naturally, their initial plot involved taking out Alecia, who was nearly booted in the first Tribal Council. But not so fast. After busting her butt to spark a fire, which took her five hours, the tide seemed to be turning a tad in her favor. Jennifer appreciated the potential value Alecia could bring to the group and the twosome suddenly crafted a plan to form an all-female alliance. Their target? Kyle, who for some reason is going by Jason, which is his last name.

It all fell apart very quickly once Tribal Council started. Jennifer, who I was openly rooting for, made a super Survivor blunder by blabbing way too much. She talked in circles, revealed her desire to flip on Jason and triggered a bizarre dispute with Alecia about who actually conceived the all-female alliance scheme. With her back suddenly against the wall, Jennifer did something we've never seen happen in 32 seasons. She stood up and climbed on top of her Tribal Council stool, pleading with the people she had just betrayed to stick with their plan to vote out Alecia.

But the damage was done. When the votes were tallied, Jennifer bit the dust 3-2 as Alecia gleefully smiled in quiet celebration that she had been spared twice in a row.

Teen Mom 2's Jenelle Evans claims MTV is making her look bad

The No. 1 rule of reality TV is as long as you don’t say it or do it, they can’t edit it to make you look bad. But Evans thinks that no matter what, MTV will always make her look bad. She complained to Radar Online that the show is “forever showing my mugshot.”

Now is a good opportunity to say that maybe if you have multiple mugshots, it isn’t the editing that is creating bad behavior.

But Evans does have a point when it comes to the way they show her relationship with her mother. Both Evans and her mom, Barbara, have short tempers that tend to flare up when they’re around each other. Over the last few seasons, Evans has tried to be more patient with Barbara, but inevitably it quickly turns into a screaming match.

Evans may have a point and she certainly has the support on Twitter. If it is true and editing is to blame, it’s too bad. She deserves to been shown in the most honest way possible. Especially when you consider how hard it must be to have your mom constantly keep you from your child.

On the other hand, she doesn’t have the best track record.
