Kendra Wilkinson reveals medical issue that's keeping her baby weight on (VIDEO)

More: Hank Baskett opens up about his sex scandal, but it doesn't make any sense

There's just one thing standing in her way. The model and reality star opened up about the challenges she's faced with getting her body back on track after her second baby in a new interview with People magazine.

"After having both kids, they were both very different experiences," Wilkinson reveals. "I lost my weight very slowly after Little Hank. With Elijah, I lost it really fast."

But even though the baby weight is already gone, Wilkinson admitted she's had some trouble getting her body back to the level of strength she had before her pregnancy, and there's a common medical issue behind her struggle.

"Right now, I'm dealing with an umbilical hernia," she continued. "So right now, I can't really have my six-pack until I get it surgically fixed."

More: Kendra Wilkinson basically calls Holly Madison a liar in new interview

According to WebMD, umbilical hernias are a common pregnancy complication and are usually harmless. They happen when part of the intestine gets caught in the umbilical opening in a mom's abdominal muscles. They're more common in newborns and young children than in adults and, while umbilical hernias in kids will usually heal themselves, adults more often require surgery to get everything back where it belongs.

Still, while she waits to have her surgery, Wilkinson said she's not using her medical problems as an excuse to slack off on taking good care of her body.

"I love being outside," she said. "I love running around, hiking, tennis, golf — we love sports. Anything that involves fun, I'm in. But I need to go to the gym and just really concentrate on a good sweat. Health and fitness is my lifestyle, and that is something that I won't quit."

Amanda Seyfried dishes on the downside to Mean Girls

More: 8 Female celebs who aren't afraid to talk about their vaginas

The gorgeous blond actress covers the August issue of Marie Claire U.K. and, in her interview with the magazine, she dishes on everything from love to motherhood to mental illness. Among the topics of discussion? Her famous role in the cult classic teen movie and what it was like to be stereotyped in Hollywood.

"After Mean Girls, I kept getting scripts for big-boobed blonde idiots. I could have so easily been Karen Smith my whole career," she shared. "I realized that if I really wanted to work forever I was going to have to make the right decisions... that's why I've made some tough decisions too, I've turned down some pretty big stuff. I didn't want to be an action hero or in a f***ing green suit for like, ten years, because I don't want to be miserable. I think happiness comes from being free."

Seyfried, who turns 30 later this year and who has been dating Justin Long since 2013, also opened up about her relationship and, most notably, her desire to be a mom.

"I keep feeling like my eggs are dying off," she admitted. "I need to get on it… I want a child. Badly. I want to be a mother, badly. That's what I feel. I've been feeling it for like, two years. I'm not ready but nobody's ready. It changes everything… so how you can ever be ready for that?"

More: There’s something different about Hugh Jackman. . .

And even with a successful film career and a hot boyfriend, Seyfried admits that life comes with ups and downs, especially for those who suffer from anxiety, like she does. She tells Marie Claire that she sees a therapist regularly and wishes mental health issues could be less stigmatized.

"It's coping with life. I've been told to not talk about it, but [anxiety] is so very common," she said. "I just think, you go to your doctor about heart problems, or an eye doctor if you have an infection, you have to take care of yourself. Mental health is so segregated, it sucks. You don't necessarily have to have something chemically wrong with your brain to have mental health issues."

Sick of Game of Thrones characters dying? Welcome to Cage of Thrones

It started off with Ned Stark (I love a man with a constant five o'clock shadow). Then we lost Prince Oberyn, whose death I am still mourning, by the way.

And now (spoiler alert!), even the show's bastard child hero, Jon Snow, is dead. Unless you believe the rumours that he's not really dead and he will miraculously open his eyes in Season 6 — rumours I actually believe, thank you very much!

But if, like me, you have positively had enough of all the man candy disappearing, as well as all our other favourite characters being killed off from the show, you might want to take a look at a new website that is causing people to fall over themselves with joy and hilarity. Well, sort of.

Thanks to the geniuses behind a Game of Thrones page on Imgur called Cage of Thrones, actor Nicolas Cage's face has been Photoshopped — and rather poorly, might I add — to each of the main characters' faces, and it is pretty brilliant.

More: Game of Thrones' controversial rape scene has an advocate

So, instead of mourning the loss of some of our favourite characters on the show, we can instead focus on how seamlessly Nicolas Cage could step into the roles and take their place, if need be. Here are some of my favourites:

Chris Brown suddenly wants to prove his paternity, but why?

More: BET Awards upsets viewers with its tasteless close-up of Rihanna

And his 1-year-old daughter, Royalty, will be right in the middle of it.

According to Us Weekly, Brown just filed court documents in Houston to establish himself as the legal father of the little girl he had with Nia Guzman.

Even though Brown has been acting like a father and paying child support for months, establishing his legal paternity in the court system allows him to legally challenge Royalty's mom, who is demanding $15,000 a month in child support instead of the $2,500 a month Brown is voluntarily paying now, according to the site.

More: Chris Brown's sweet messages to his daughter are turning haters into fans

Brown found out about his daughter months after she was born, but immediately stepped up by financially supporting the little girl. One theory about why the "Ayo" singer is just now taking steps to establish his legal paternity? He's worried Guzman will cut him off from seeing Royalty if he doesn't cough up the child support she's demanding, even though he's already paying what he thinks is fair. He's already spoken about situations in which Guzman has denied his legal rights to see Royalty, and with legal paternity established, it could become more difficult for her to do so.

"A lot has changed in my life, a lot of mistakes, a lot of lessons learned," Brown told reporters at the 2015 BET Awards last Sunday. "The best thing, I'm most thankful for is my daughter. At the end of the day, love is love."

It's a good thing Brown seems willing to focus on taking care of Royalty. He and his longtime on-again, off-again girlfriend, Karrueche Tran, split earlier this year after the media caught wind of the fact that Brown had fathered Royalty while the two were together.

Bobbi Kristina Brown's family now has to deal with an ill-timed lawsuit

Russell J. Eckerman has filed a lawsuit against Brown over a car accident he said she caused just days before she was found unconscious and battered in her bathtub. According to court documents, Eckerman claims Brown was "traveling at an imprudent speed for conditions and was following too closely and improperly attempted to change lanes in order to avoid the vehicle stopping in front of her," resulting in a serious crash that left him with multiple injuries.

Brown lost control of her 2005 Jeep Liberty, crossing the center line and colliding with Eckerman's Ford Taurus.

The plaintiff said his injuries left him in a medically-induced coma — not unlike the one Brown was in just days later after being found in the tub — and included a scalp laceration, a sprained left wrist and more seriously, facial, spinal and skull fractures.

Eckerman claims his medical bills were in excess of $732,610.22, but it is unclear how much he is seeking in damages.

Brown isn't the only person named in the suit. Eckerman is also going after the third driver involved in the crash, as well as Ford Motor Company.

Meanwhile, the Houston and Brown families have gathered at Bobbi's bedside to say goodbye, as doctors said there is nothing else they can do for her and have removed her from all life-sustaining medication.

Firework displays are pretty but can stress veterans with PTSD

The nonprofit Military with PTSD is hoping to raise awareness about the effects fireworks can have on men and women who served in the military. Unfortunately noisemakers and firework displays used to commemorate our nation's independence can oftentimes be the very things that cause emotional distress on combat veterans.

"It can trigger someone into a fight-or-flight or even a freeze type of experience," Tom Pritchard, a veteran's center readjustment counselor, tells 9News.

How fireworks can trigger PTSD in veterans

How fireworks can trigger PTSD in veterans

To help raise awareness, Military with PTSD created an Explosion of Kindness campaign that will educate those interested in the effects fireworks have on veterans and provide ways to be a little more courteous. Monetary donations are greatly appreciated, which will gift a free yard sign that reads "Combat veteran lives here. Please be courteous with fireworks" to disabled veterans.

The organization's goal is not to wag a finger at those who wish to use firework devices, but simply to encourage them to have a little compassion regarding how fireworks might affect someone who served this country. "I think people wonder how you can be courteous with fireworks," said Military with PTSD co-founder Shawn Gourley. "No veteran that served the United States wants to take a freedom away from people, especially fireworks, which represent freedom. What they're asking for is for people to give them a heads-up."

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs reveals post-traumatic stress disorder affects roughly 8 million adults each year. It estimates that six out of 10 men and five out of every 10 women will experience PTSD at least once in their life. Those who served in the military are very likely to have witnessed unthinkable events that are often relived once they return home. Explosive sounds like fireworks can sometimes trigger an emotional reaction that causes stress and unfortunate reactions, as many think they're back in the field.

"Communicating about things in general is probably a good place to start," notes Saxton Wiley.

If you live in a community with a veteran, do consider speaking with them about your intentions to use fireworks so they can make arrangements at their end.

Actress Tiffani Thiessen is a mom for the second time. The Saved by the Bell alum shared this sweet snapshot as her 5-year-old daughter, Harper Renn, holds her brother for the first time.

"Yesterday Harper got a little brother!" she captioned the photo. "We are so excited to introduce Holt Fisher Smith. Our perfect sweet little man. #weareblessed#familyoffour."

The 41-year-old star stayed with the "H" theme when naming her son Holt, to go along with big sister Harper. Holt is a name of English origin that means "by the forest."

This cute name is a unique choice choice, as the Social Security Administration does not have it listed in its top 1,000 baby name list (taken from births in the United States) since the 1900s, however we expect to see a little surge in popularity after Thiessen has picked his cute name. The most popular boy name currently is Noah.

The actress announced in January she was pregnant by posting a sweet family photo on her Instagram page.

Thiessen shared on her blog that Harper couldn’t wait to meet her little brother.

"We couldn’t be more excited. And Harper... is she ever. Everyday she asks me 'Is he ready yet Mommy?' Like it’s a cake I am baking in my belly," she wrote. "It warms my heart to see the excitement and love she has for this baby already. Everyday she kisses my belly. She tells her baby brother all the time that she loves him. Her little hands come up to my stomach like in the form of a secret and whispers over and over… 'Hi baby, how are you?'"

9 Professional kitchen gadgets every home cook should have

1. Precision cookers (for sous vide)

Anova sous vide machine

From the finest French bistro to the food truck outside, sous vide is used by the pros to make those amazing soft-poached eggs and perfectly cooked steaks and salmon that seem impossible to make at home — until now. Sous vide machines have advanced radically in recent years, allowing amateurs to explore this advanced cooking technique at home. Some, like the Anova precision cooker, can even connect to your smartphone via Bluetooth.

2. Pizza stones

Pizza stones

Image: The Paupered Chef

Pizza places use commercial ovens that can reach much higher temperatures than the oven in your kitchen — which usually max out at around 450 to 550 degrees F — which is why their pizza has that crisp, perfectly browned crust and yours doesn't. Short of building a brick oven in your backyard, there aren't any complete pizza solutions, but for amateur pizzaiolos, there are some decent hacks. From aluminum foil-wrapped bricks to unglazed quarry tile, people have tried a number of things, but for a growing number of pizza lovers, the best way to crank up the heat on your pie might just be a FibraMent baking stone.

3. Plate warmers

Electric plate warmer

One simple thing that has an enormous impact on the guest's impression of their meal? Chill cold dishes for food meant to be served cold, and warm the dishes that are meant to be served hot. This electric plate warmer from Waterbridge is an easy way to bring your A game to the table.

4. Ramekins

ramekins

Image: Amazon

Besides not having to serve sauces on your plate like a savage, ramekins can also be used for mise en place — the French practice of "putting in place" or organizing recipe ingredients in preparation of cooking. There are small prep bowls or glass custard cups you could buy, but ramekins can do double duty.

5. Stainless steel bowls

xxx

Image: Amazon

Every cook should have a set of stainless steel bowls at their disposal. Not only do they make inexpensive, lightweight mixing bowls that are safe for your dishwasher, but they're safe to use as a double boiler and in pressure cookers for pan-in-pot recipes. A whole set can also be used for mise en place, if you're wondering what to do with the smaller bowls.

6. Thermapen

Thermapen

Whether you're deep-frying, roasting a chicken or making hard candy, temperature control is critical to food safety and completing recipes successfully. The Thermapen is the most recommended thermometer in the world and can get an accurate reading in only three seconds.

7. Bus tub

bus tub

Image: Amazon

The humble bus tub is what keeps a restaurant floor running smoothly. Use yours to make quick work of an outdoor party or picnic. You can even store your barbecue gear in one for the ultimate in grilling convenience.

8. Meat slicer

Chef's Choice meat slicer

Image: Amazon

Perhaps more than any other professional kitchen tool, home chefs question their need for a meat slicer — they can be expensive and high-maintenance devices to own (food-grade oil isn't cheap). But in spite of that main drawback, a meat slicer can pay for itself very quickly by sidestepping premium prices and can be invaluable for people with arthritis or physical conditions that can make working with a knife cumbersome and painful. Meat slicers can even do double duty, making precise, wafer-thin cuts on vegetables and harder cheeses as well. Though not as heavy duty as one you might find in a professional kitchen, slicers like this Chef's Choice are still plenty rugged and won't cost as much as a used car. Seriously, some of the high-end models can cost over $7,000.

9. Sheet pans

Aluminum sheet pans

Image: Amazon

If you've spent any time in the back-of-house, you'll know sheet pans are professional workhorses of the kitchen. Half- and quarter-sized sheet pans lie stacked 10-15 high on stainless steel tables in every restaurant around the world, ready to be pressed into service for basic tasks, like food preparation, serving and storage, to the more complex, like dehydrating, roasting and baking — basically any duty a resourceful cook can imagine. Sturdy and inexpensive, no home kitchen should go without. These nonstick Vollrath sheet pans are excellent and are even slightly concave on the bottom so that they'll heat evenly as the metal expands in the oven.

More: Kourtney Kardashian finally shows us Reign and he's scrumptious

The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star is vacationing in France and getting too close for comfort with celebrity stylist Chloé Bartoli, all while Kardashian watches the kids at home

The photos, which the Daily Mail showcased in all their touchy-feely glory, indicate that the gossip that Kardashian has kicked Disick out of the home might just be true. The couple, who has three children together, has definitely seen their share of ups and downs.

More: The Kardashians' $100 million contract isn't split up evenly at all

In the photos, Disick has his arm around Bartoli. She also, reportedly, fed him food off her plate and tipped water into his mouth from a wine glass. In one of the photos, it even appears as if the two are holding hands, though they are most likely just walking close together.

Either way, if we were Kardashian, we would definitely have some questions. Even if she kicked him out of the house, he should be spending his time trying to figure out how to put his family back together and be responsible, not galavanting off with another woman.

Disick has been battling an alcohol addiction and, despite a stint in rehab, arrived wasted at a public appearance at a nightclub in Montreal. It was an event that was held to help raise money for the ONEXONE $1 Feed a Child Campaign. Disick was too drunk to be introduced to fans who had paid to be there to meet him and support the campaign.

More: Does Kanye West think Scott Disick is a toxic mess?

Disick has always had trouble with the family man persona. His struggles were well-documented on Keeping Up with the Kardashians and, when Kardashian told him she was pregnant with their third child, he even said, "You just keep suckering me into these kids. I can't handle all of this responsibility."

If these pictures are any indication, it looks like Disick is handling the pressure by forgetting his family exists.

So far, neither Disick nor Kardashian have commented on the photos or the new crop of cheating rumors.

Beach etiquette everyone should follow for Fourth of July

$
0
0

The last time I checked, topless and nude sunbathing is frowned upon here in America, and in some cases is considered against the law. Unless you're on a private yacht in the south of France or vacationing in Brazil, kindly keep your bathing suit PG-rated. Private parts should be sufficiently covered. The beach is for families and they are especially in tow on a big summer holiday.

Keep your own stash of supplies

Everyone has their "must have" list of necessities for the beach. Most importantly, the list is to help you be prepared so that you do not have to constantly bother others with your requests for items you forgot at home. The bare minimum: sunscreen, hat, bottled water and towel. Kicking it up a notch: beach chair, umbrella, tunes, books or magazines (old school style), games, a cooler fully stocked with an incredible feast. Recommended for parents: full-day supply of diapers and wipes, a Pack N' Play and tent for shade, sand toys (by the way, don't forget to write your name on them so you leave the beach with the same toys you came with), ample sunscreen, snacks and beverages.

The early bird gets the worm

If you are one of those people who perpetually arrives fashionably late, don't expect to have first dibs on prime real estate. There is plenty of space and no one is entitled to a reserved spot, unless of course, you belong to a private beach club and the attendant has a reserved number of chairs and umbrellas set aside for members. To ensure you do not encroach on another person's space, ideally there should be about 15 feet distance between you and your neighbor. When selecting your spot, don't forget to take into consideration high tide. Look for a high water mark, consult a tide chart or ask a lifeguard before settling down for the day.

Setting up shop

If possible, organize your items so that you only have to take one trip on the sand to your spot on the beach. Walking back and forth is exhausting and will tucker you out before your day even begins. Before laying your towels down and inserting your umbrella, check to see which way the wind is blowing so that you don’t blow sand into your neighbor's direction or block their view. Make every effort to consolidate your items into a small area that will not take valuable beachfront away from others.

Keep it down and watch your language

We are well aware that the beach is outside, but that does not give you carte blanche to blast your latest iTunes mix on your giant speakers or shout profanities to your buddies when we are within earshot trying to enjoy a family day with our kids. On the flip side, parents need to monitor their children and make sure little Mikey and Susie aren't running amok hurling sand toys and fighting over the last Cheeto while adults are trying to enjoy a little peace and quiet or read the latest bestseller. Being outside entitles everyone to use their outside voice and have fun; just be mindful of how loud and crazy you get and keep it all in check.

Fun in the sun

Game playing is great, but keep it away from others. First of all, it is obnoxious to play ball over others heads while they are trying to relax and secondly, it can be dangerous, especially if there are little ones around. This extends to water playing as well. Look out for others in the water before you engage in spirited splashing, dunking and other horseplay. Maintain control of boogie boards and other water toys so that everyone has a safe day in the sun. A special note to parents: Keep an eye on your children. Organize plenty of activities like building sand castles, playing Frisbee or searching for the most unusual seashell to keep them busy so that they do not wander off or, more importantly, wander into the water without your supervision.

Clean up after yourself

Would you rather swim with the fishes or the garbage? If the former is your preference, make sure to keep our beaches and oceans pristine by maintaining your mess. Please take a garbage bag or paper bag with you to the beach and have the decency to collect all of your trash (that includes food wrappers, diapers, newspapers and whatever else you bring) and then deposit it into one of the large trash receptacles located everywhere.

Don't bring the beach home with you

Carefully shake all items and sufficiently clean off anything with sticky sand before leaving the beach. Watch your neighbors to make sure you are not blowing sand dust in their wind. There is nothing worse than dust particles of sand found in the car, on the floor or in your bags when you return home. Shake off towels, clean dirty feet, wash out bathing suits and dump all bags before settling into your car or entering the house.

Give it one last look

Before making your final exit, patrol the area all around your beach party scene one last time for any lost items, leftover food or litter.

Teresa Giudice writes all about the violence she encountered in prison

In new journal entries obtained by Us Weekly, the Real Housewives of New Jersey star talks about the violence she sees behind bars every day, how much she misses her family and one surprising detail about the food.

"I called the girls after school today. I miss them so much. They are all I think about all day long, and I pray that God helps me to go back home to be with my daughters and my husband. Please God, help me," she wrote in one entry.

In another, she described some of the daily violence she sees. "There is a lady in here, she hit her roommate," Giudice wrote. "The officers are up here now to evaluate the situation. She is a crazy lady who fights with everyone."

More: Teresa Giudice allegedly in danger due to feud with prison inmates

While we're not surprised that she misses her family or that there is violence in prison, we are a little surprised to hear how much food there is. While it's not great, apparently, there's a ton of it. No one is going hungry.

"I had tater tots, a soy burger that was so gross and orange!" wrote Giudice, who has penned several cookbooks. "I also had some potato salad. They feed us so much here. I'm going to have potatoes coming out of my ears pretty soon!"

Well, it's not exactly Oz, but it's not exactly home, either. Giudice is scheduled to be released from prison early next year and plans to release a memoir based on her diaries.

Melissa Benoist on how Supergirl sends a message of female empowerment

Supergirl is set to take flight this fall, and in a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, Melissa Benoist opens up about what she hopes people will take away from Kara Zor-El's (Supergirl's) journey. Benoist is without a doubt the best person Warner Bros. could have tapped to take on such an iconic role. The 26-year-old understands Kara and her importance on a level that will make you instantly adore her. Her interview is peppered with quotes about empowerment, strength and the hopeful nature of the series.

More: 8 Things you need to know about Melissa Benoist

Below, check out the best quotes from Benoist's interview and just try to stop yourself from getting excited about Supergirl. I promise it is not possible. Benoist and Supergirl are going to fly away with everyone's hearts and inspire a generation in the process.

1. "The first time I put the costume on, it was a mixture of a lot of emotions. It’s impossible not to feel empowered when you put it on. You would think, "Oh, it’s silly. I’m putting on tights. I’m putting on a leotard and a skirt. There’s muscles built into the suit. There’s a cape. I’m going to feel like it’s Halloween." But something changes internally. I feel like a different person almost. It really is an alter ego, where I feel inspired, hopeful and empowered."

Benoist also noted that she was wearing an eye patch the first time she put on the suit due to an eye injury. Awesome woman that she is, she did not let that take away from the incredible moment. It sounds like the minute she suited up, she started channeling her inner Kara.

2. "I want to do right by women. I want to portray someone they can relate to and look up to that’s not a trite or a shallow depiction. I want her to be complicated and flawed. I guess I just want all women to feel like they could be Kara and Superwoman as well."

How refreshing is that quote? There are not many female superheroes on TV or in film right now, so Benoist has to carry the torch in many ways. I think she is up to the task. She already sounds like a hero, that's for sure.

More: Watch this video and find out why Supergirl is so important to women

3. "The camp is going to be there. It’s a superhero show. But I don’t think that takes away from the female empowerment. Obviously you see Kara in her work atmosphere, it resembles the Black Widow parody, but what you don’t see is Kara kicking butt."

There were a lot of comparisons to the Black Widow SNL parody when the Supergirl trailer landed, but Benoist is quick to assert there's more to Kara than her work. The show is committed to showing Kara's human side as well as her kick-butt hero side, and that only makes the character more relatable.

4. "I’m so grateful that I get to be in this position, playing someone people will look up to. Hopefully I’ll help people escape from things they’re afraid of or be able to face the things they’re afraid of."

Everyone, meet Benoist; she is your new life role model.

More: The outcry over Supergirl's conservative suit revealed some serious sexism

5. "Also, it’s a girl. Supergirl, that whole discussion, it’s a girl figuring out how to become a woman."

Yes, she even addressed the concerns over Kara being called "girl" instead of "woman." In many ways, Kara is coming into her own in this story. She's growing and figuring life out while also saving the world, so no, calling her a girl doesn't undermine any of that. If anything, it is a reminder that Supergirl is a unique coming-of-age story that girls can watch and find a positive female character to look up to. There is nothing more empowering than that.

Chilled white bean soup — comfort food flavor without warming you up

Hearty-chilled-white-bean-soup

You might think bean soup is best reserved for hearty winter meals, but I'm here to tell you that it's enjoyable in the summer too. Just chill — literally!

This soup is spectacular on a summer night. The main difference in this dish versus what you might serve in the cooler months is that I've prepared — and then refrigerated — this soup before serving it. The flavors come together nicely for a tasty meal that's perfect when the temperatures rise. The roasted red pepper topping adds flavor and color to a filling dish.

Chilled white bean soup with roasted red pepper cream topping recipe

This soup gets a pop of color and flavor from its vibrant garnish. When you mix the roasted red pepper cream topping into the soup, you'll spread around the flavors to enjoy in every spoonful.

Serves 4

Prep time: 10 minutes | Cook time: 7 minutes | Inactive time: 30-40 minutes | Total time: 47-57 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup roasted red peppers
  • 3 tablespoons plain Greek yogurt
  • 1-1/2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 (15 ounce cans) cannellini beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1/4 cup diced white onion
  • 1/4 cup diced celery
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 4 cups vegetable broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt, divided
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme, plus extra for garnish

Directions:

  1. To a food processor, add the roasted red peppers and yogurt, and blend until desired consistency (I like a few chunks of red peppers in mine).
  2. Add 1/4 teaspoon salt, and mix to combine. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
  3. To a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat, add the olive oil. When the oil is hot, add the onion and celery, and cook for about 3 minutes. Add the garlic, and cook for another 30 seconds.
  4. Add the vegetable broth, beans, remaining salt and black pepper. Bring the mixture to a boil.
  5. Add the thyme, reduce the heat, and cook for another 3 to 4 minutes or so.
  6. Remove from the heat, and allow the mixture to come to room temperature. Use either a stick blender or transfer the mixture to a standing blender, and carefully blend until smooth.
  7. Transfer to a container with a lid, and refrigerate for 30 to 40 minutes to chill.
  8. When ready to serve, transfer to individual bowls, garnish with the extra thyme, and dollop the roasted red pepper mixture on top of the soup.

Oh, to be the poor reporter who got called out by Rudd. But, oh, to be the lucky gal who called and got intercepted by the funny guy!

3. "Let's try this again"

Paul Rudd Video 3

Paul Rudd Video 3

We're not even sure what is going on in this outtake from Role Models, but suffice it to say, Rudd thought it was pretty effin' hilarious. And that, my friends, makes it impossible not to laugh at.

4. "That's some serious bush"

Paul Rudd Video 4

Had you not seen the movie Wanderlust before, I'm betting you want to see it now. Tell me I'm wrong.

5. "I don't miss her face"

If you ever want to lighten the mood during an uncomfortable, ahem, conversation, just recall Rudd's face during this gem of a scene.

6. "Big woops"

J.K. Simmons telling Rudd, "Let me know when you're ready," is everything. Which reminds us: It's time to watch I Love You, Man for the umpteenth time.

7. "Nuts to you!"

Paul Rudd Video 7

Paul Rudd Video 7

Would it be weird to say we'd gladly swap places with Reese Witherspoon so Rudd could yell "nuts to you!" at us?

8. "It takes on a life of its own"

If you haven't already seen Wake Up, Ron Burgundy, go forth immediately after you finish reading this (naturally) and find it. Trust us.

He can't even. He can't even, you guys. And neither can we.

10. "This is the kind of stuff the government is watching"

Paul Rudd Video 10

Paul Rudd Video 10

Remind us why Tina Fey and Paul Rudd don't make more movies together? We'd toggle over to them any time.

11. "Jingle jangle?!"

Paul Rudd Video 11

Paul Rudd Video 11

Sure, the original scene is funny as it is written. But the fact that Rudd couldn't even finish out the scene because he was laughing so hard? We're dying over here.

12. "F***, shit, shit, shit!"

Paul Rudd Video 13

Paul Rudd Video 13

How, and we ask this in all seriousness, can anyone work with Rudd and keep their focus? Between his comic timing, his uncontrollable giggling and, well, his face, we'd be goners.

13. "You're not messing around"

Paul Rudd Video 14

Paul Rudd Video 14

While we love Emma Stone's lip-sync battle with Jimmy Fallon, Rudd might actually have her beat. It's a tough call. Can we get a Celebrity Lip Sync Death Match or something?

14. "This is what happens when you corner a rat"

Paul Rudd Video 15

Rudd and Leslie Mann are apparently no match for the obscene hilarity of Melissa McCarthy. And, you know, we can't blame them. But how adorable is Rudd here, seriously?

15. "I can see!"

Paul Rudd Video 16

Paul Rudd Video 16

How this outtake came to be will remain a mystery to us all, but we're so glad some twisted soul somewhere allowed it to happen.

16. "That's hilarious"

Paul Rudd Video 17

Paul Rudd Video 17

You know what you get when you cross Seann William Scott, Rudd and a bunch of flubbed lines? Damn near perfection, that's what.

17. "What's your least masculine habit?"

Paul Rudd Video 18

Paul Rudd Video 18

Seth Rogen and Rudd have made several movies together and, as this clip so brilliantly proves, they need to make more. Many, many more.

18. "And what about the rebbies?"

Paul Rudd Video 19

Paul Rudd Video 19

Whatever "one of those days" is, Rudd seems to have them a lot. Perhaps some brilliant studio exec should make a movie reel of nothing but "those days."

19. "Go f*** yourself"

Paul Rudd Video 20

Paul Rudd Video 20

Oddly, hearing about the abnormal hair growing out of the top of Rudd's ear was one of the highlights of our day. Infer what you will from that.

20. "That's the regulation brush"

Paul Rudd Video 21

Paul Rudd Video 21

Oh, Rudd. This trick isn't funny when our significant other tries to pull it, but it sure looks cute on you.

21. "You are the frickin' Ichiro..."

Paul Rudd Video 22

Paul Rudd Video 22

We'd trade our eye-teeth to go back in time and be on set for the filming of this scene. How many takes do you think it took?

22. "Otherwise, his head will fall off!"

Paul Rudd Video 23

Show of hands — who thinks Gideon the imaginary friend traffics in herbal refreshments, if you catch my drift?

23. "It's totally wet."

Forty sounds pretty good to us if you've got Rudd for a husband, even if he does forget to cap the water bottle in his pants. No, really. That's not a euphemism.

Kim Kardashian fat-shames her own brother

More: NPR listeners rebel against Kim Kardashian's interview in a harsh way

Kim said during an interview with the powerhouse mag that the reason Rob hasn't been seen on Keeping Up with the Kardashians lately isn't because of a drug problem.

"It's not that mysterious, what's happening with Rob," she said. "He has gained weight. He feels uncomfortable being on the show, and that's OK."

Us Weekly points out that Rob was last photographed last month at In-N-Out, though he's been keeping a low profile since the weight gain started back in 2013.

Still, Kardashian goes even further, "Do I think he smokes weed, drinks beer, hangs out and plays video games with his friends all day long? Yes."

More: Kim Kardashian throws baby North an epic birthday party (PHOTOS)

But when asked if she thought Rob had bigger drug issues, she called BS. "It's not more like hookers and meth at the Ritz. No no. Or he'd be skinny."

Ouch.

Clearly, if Rob is already so sensitive about his weight that he's avoiding being seen on the family's reality show, hearing Kim's interview would have made him upset.

Us Weekly's source explained, "Rob has blocked Kim on his phone. He doesn't want to hear what she has to say. He says there's no excuse she could possibly have for saying that. He will not forgive her."

Of course, maybe Kim was just trying to get the harsh truth out there in order to encourage her brother to get back into shape. And while there may be much better ways of addressing a situation like that, the Kardashians do love the spotlight.

More: Kim Kardashian and Kanye West stir up discussion on gender selection

"It's not Kim's personality to nurture," another source told the outlet. "She loves him, but she's direct."

It seems not even those pregnancy hormones have made her sympathetic to her brother's struggles.

Do you think Rob is justified in getting so upset with Kim?
