11 Foods you can dye green for your favorite leprechauns

$

Turns out you can dye just about everything. That said, you may not be able to use traditional liquid food coloring on everything, and there may be a special method (like cooking in the dye) for dyeing some things. For example, you may need to use powdered food dyes on things like cheese. Additionally, foods that aren't white may have unexpected responses to dye colors, and you may need to adjust what colors you use or the concentrations.

1. Cakes

green pistachio bread

Image: Kitchen Blessings

You could probably use five to 10 drops of food coloring in banana or zucchini bread too, but we like this easy recipe for sweet pistachio bread.

2. Ice cream and ice cream drinks

boozy shamrock shake

You don't have to have mint-chocolate chip ice cream for it to be green. Mix it up Marble Slab-style by adding green food coloring to vanilla ice cream, mixing it up and putting it on top of that pistachio bread, or add it to your favorite shake. We like this boozy shamrock shake.

3. White sauces

green spinach mac and cheese

Image: Heather Christo

Regardless of the type, any white or pale sauce can be made green using either food coloring or natural colorants like spinach or kale. We're eager to try this green macaroni and cheese, which uses spinach to make it green (gotta love recipes that let you sneak in some healthy stuff).

4. Frosting and icing

Everyone knows you can dye frosting, but we're including it here for a recommendation from McCormick. They suggest adding 1/4 teaspoon of peppermint extract to frosting along with the green food coloring. We think these adorable St. Patrick's Day mini-doughnuts are a great recipe to experiment with.

5. Deviled eggs

green deviled eggs

Image: So Wonderful, So Marvelous

A little food coloring in the yolk mixture of your favorite deviled egg recipe before filling them, and you've got a fun recipe for a St. Patrick's Day appetizer. We like these green deviled eggs featuring tarragon.

6. Waffles or pancakes

green pancakes

Waffles and pancakes are easy to dye thanks to their light color and the fact that you can easily judge the color they'll be when cooked (same as when the batter is raw). But we really love these green velvet pancakes with whipped cream and chocolate sauce.

7. Cheesecake

green mint cheesecake

Image: Pip & Ebby

Just drop a little food coloring in while you're whipping up your favorite cheesecake recipe, or try this mint-chocolate chip cheesecake.

8. Breads

green bagels with chive cream cheese

You can also add food coloring to almost any bread recipe to make it green. These homemade green bagels with chive cream cheese sound good.

9. Popcorn

green candied popcorn

Image: Skip to My Lou

You can also dye popcorn green, and while the powdered dyes will work best for plain popcorn, we think you should try this green candied popcorn.

10. Mashed potatoes

green spinach mashed potatoes

Image: Shockingly Delicious

Mashed potatoes can easily be dyed using green food coloring, but this recipe for green mashed potatoes featuring kale pesto is also a good way to sneak some healthy greens into your family's diet under the guise of St. Patrick's Day revelry.

11. Rice Krispies Treats

They're easy to dye because all you have to do is add food coloring to the sugar mixture. How about trying these awesome ombre Rice Krispies Treats?

Undateable's Chris D'Elia teases a sensitive Danny in Season 2

$

The NBC series was a hilarious addition to the summer lineup last year, and there's more pressure on the stars and creators now that the show is coming back this winter. But it's the kind of pressure that D'Elia likes.

More: SPOILER — Undateable's Bianca Kajlich teases Season 2 romance news

"If the show doesn't work, I want it to be my fault," he said. "The first season, we were on in the summer and we were up against a lot of the playoff games and the NHL finals. Now we have the slot after The Voice. So we've got the eyeballs, and if we can't keep it, it's only our fault and I like that about that."

There are some benefits to heading into the second season as well. Most of the stars of the series are touring stand-up comedians, and the writers actually used those acts in the series.

"We were finding our footing on the first season and the writers now [have] come to see us do stand-up and they've really tailored the parts totally to us," D'Elia said.

"My character shows a little bit more of a sensitive side," he said about Danny, the guy who sort of leads the group of wacky bar patrons. D'Elia said that in addition to Danny showing his softer side, Justin (Bren Morin) will be "less of a dork" in Season 2. That sounds like it could change up the dynamics between the two best friends — in an exciting way.

More: 11 Secrets the leading man of Complications could be hiding

Danny is a guy who seems to have it all worked out and often doles out advice to all of his friends, but what's really happening on the inside? D'Elia opened up about his character and talked about what makes you love Danny, even with his quirks.

"He's just in his own world and only thinks about himself and is happy about it. I don't know how much he wants to change. I think there's a little bit in the back of his head where he knows maybe it's not right because his sister tells him, but it's also what makes him funny, though. It's also what makes him quirky and what makes you like him. The character is written to where that's the thing: Girls want to hang out with him but not be with him. So I think that's kind of the double-edged sword."

There's also little bit of D'Elia in Danny. "Danny is just kind of a heightened version of me or a heightened version of what I do on stage, which is a heightened version of me," he said.

With a bunch of stand-up comics on set, the first season was chock full of ad-libbing. According to D'Elia, there will be even more this season, which has led to some extra footage for the blooper reel. "We've already shot two episodes this season and we already have a bunch of stuff that's obviously going to be on the gag reel."

More: 13 Wild Dynasty moments we need on The Royals

"We just mess around so much and so it's like if we get it once on camera, we know we have it, we're just going to do what we want. A lot of times, Bill Lawrence, the creator, will just say, 'Do whatever you want.' Literally, he will say that and we'll do it and some of it makes it on the show," D'Elia said of the antics on set that end up on screen.

Be sure to check out the second season of Undateable when it premieres on Tuesday, March 17, at 9:30/8:30c on NBC.

6 Ways The Simpsons creator Sam Simon championed animal rights

After a long battle with cancer, Sam Simon has died and the animal kingdom has lost one of their greatest friends and champions.

Here are some of the remarkable things Sam Simon did during his life to protect animals.

1. He started the Sam Simon Foundation

Sam Simon Foundation

Image: Sam Simon Foundation

The motto of the Sam Simon Foundation says all you need to know about its mission: "Saving the Lives of Dogs to Enrich the Lives of People." The foundation provides free spay and neuter services to low-income families, programs that provide therapy dogs for veterans and even a "Hearing Dog" program that rescues dogs from shelters and trains them to assist deaf people.

2. He once bought a fur farm to save 400 chinchillas

When the Adams Valley View Chinchilla Ranch in Vista, California was found to be electrocuting and skinning chinchillas they said were meant to be pets, Sam Simon stepped up to save the little critters.

3. He started a vegan food bank

Sam Simon giving away fortune

The vegan food bank was just one project among many that Simon supported as part of his pledge to give away his wealth to protect animals before he died. The idea was to feed the homeless vegan food. He explained the philosophy behind the idea in an interview.

"I have been a vegetarian for 42 years," Simon said. "I did it because I didn't want animals to die so I could eat. Then, eight to 10 years ago, when I found out the life of a dairy cow is way worse than the life of a beef cow, I understood I had to switch to complete veganism. Otherwise, I would be very inconsistent in my beliefs that animals shouldn't be abused for food."

4. He rescued bears

In early 2014, Simon worked with PETA to rescue 17 bears from concrete pits.

5. He went to the Cove in Japan to protest dolphin hunting

Simon traveled to Taiji, Japan to the infamous "Cove" to protest the brutal dolphin hunt depicted in the documentary The Cove.

6. Simon bought a whale rescue ship for Sea Shepherd

The Sea Shepherd conservation society which is featured on the reality series Whale Wars named the fourth ship added to its fleet in 2012 the Sam Simon, which joined the other ships: the Bob Barker, Steve Irwin and Brigitte Bardot. He bought the ship to advance their efforts to save the whales.

Rachel Zoe speaks out about body-shaming pregnant women

When the photos of the pregnant lingerie model with washboard abs at eight-and-a-half months pregnant went viral, the internet lost its collective mind with judginess. Now, three stars are speaking out about the body-shaming they and other pregnant women often endure.

Rachel Zoe said she can really relate to model, Sarah Stage, because she, too, was told by countless strangers that her pregnancy couldn't possibly be healthy due to her small size — and she almost believed it herself.

"I was panicked," Zoe told Entertainment Tonight at the book release party for Expecting 411: Clear Answers & Smart Advice for Your Pregnancy by Dr. Michele Hakakha. "I was like, 'What is wrong?' and the second one, you get bigger quicker because your body remembers. But the first one, your body is trying to figure it out and make room. Some people are built smaller. I just think your body tells you what you need to do."

Vanessa Lachey, who just gave birth to her second child in January, agreed. "I just think for girls looking at that, it's like Rachel said — A, don't judge — and B, just know everybody is different because the problem... I hate that women are looking at that and thinking, 'I never looked like that,'" she said. "That's OK! You can't do that."

More: Molly Sims says we're all supermodels (VIDEO)

Molly Sims had the opposite experience. The supermodel gained 80 pounds with her first pregnancy, but just 35 with her second, so she knows that there is an extremely wide range of normal from person to person and pregnancy to pregnancy.

"She's working out!" Sims added. "A lot of things like Rachel said, she was this girl before she got pregnant, you know what I mean?"

The three have given us a great reminder that body-shaming anyone is wrong and doing it to a pregnant woman is even worse.

Nicki Minaj calls journalists out for making up lies

More: Nicki Minaj's Rolling Stone cover leaves nothing to the imagination

Though Minaj quickly removed the love-inspired tweet, according to the site, Necole Bitchie, the article managed to screen-grab the message from Minaj, which reads, "I'll always love you."

Even more telling than the message itself is the day it was posted: March 7, Minaj and Safaree's would-be 11th anniversary had they stayed together. There's also the fact that Safaree seemed to respond to Minaj's sweet tweet, saying, "I'm not gonna front like I dnt kno wat today woulda been I hope ur happy and wish u nothing but the best.. luv u 4ever. no love lost."

More: Nicki Minaj just posted nearly naked photos — and we actually really like them

But Minaj quickly took to Twitter with some more cryptic tweets, this time aimed at Necole Bitchie and their purported lies in the article.

Side note — and the above tweet is where I really start to scratch my head here — this is far from the first time Minaj has used social media to air some relationship drama. Just last December, the rapper went on a Twitter rant likely also fueled by Safaree, in which she called out a person for their disappointing behavior despite her loyalty.

It's unclear if Minaj is asserting that the tweets were entirely fabricated and, thus, the story bogus, or if Minaj is simply trying to say that the deleted tweet wasn't meant for Safaree. But it appears to be the latter.

More: INTERVIEW: Former wrestler Amy Weber on her life-endangering video shoot

Nikki and Brie Bella spent most of the Season 3 finale stewing over their WWE renewal contracts, despite Nikki's big win as the new Divas Champion.

The contracts the girls were presented would extend their careers as Divas for another three years.

Brie reveals that she's ready to be a mother and has the goal of starting a family. Nikki, on the other hand, wants to get into different facets of the entertainment industry, but a casting director told her that devoting time as an actress would be hard if she continues as a Diva.

10 Things only people who parent in New York understand

1. A Binky dropped on the ground is infinitely more terrifying

AbyssImage: Giphy.com

No one knows what's really on the ground. It belongs to the abyss now.

2. Fewer people ask to touch your baby

Ain't nobodyImage: Giphy.com

In the suburbs, people are all over chubby, wiggly things in strollers. In the city, they barely notice.

3. You'll never need a minivan

minivanImage: Giphy.com

That's right. You can be a mom and still remain cool. Thanks, yellow cabs. Now, hold my kid while I struggle to install my car seat into a cab for the fifth time today.

4. Your kids are less picky

WillisImage: Giphy.com

In New York, it seems as though nearly every country is represented on the restaurant scene (and most deliver). Start your kids early and never face a scrunched-up nose.

5. They play in the world's biggest backyard

Central ParkImage: Giphy.com

People who cite "nowhere to play outside" as a reason to avoid the city when you have a family are too shortsighted. There are some amazing parks in NYC — especially Central Park, which never seems to be out of swings and has a freaking zoo.

6. And who says grocery shopping is a pain?

GroceriesImage: Giphy.com

Another big city bonus: Relatively inexpensive grocery delivery. Shop online or call in your list during nap time and have your goods delivered to your door. Never experience another cookie aisle meltdown again.

7. But it's recommended you put on clothes to take the kids to soccer

SimpsonsImage: Giphy.com

Please don't embarrass your kid. Since you can't hide in a minivan, you'll need to get out of your husband's PJ pants and at least put on some Lululemons and a bra.

8. Bonus: You won't need to teach the kid to drive

Image: Giphy.com

In New York City, a subway card is all a teenager needs to experience freedom. It'll save you so much money.

9. Of course, the subway is also a little terrifying

SubwayImage: Giphy.com

Just like in a car, they can go anywhere. Unlike in a car, if they stay out too late and take the wrong train too far from home, they could find themselves alone and scared on a platform for upwards of 30 minutes before they see another train. (And that's if everything is on schedule.)

10. But they'll be smarter, braver and bolder because of it

GirlImage: Giphy.com

That night on the platform and the many nights that follow will teach your kids a lot. They'll learn to sense sketchiness better than kids from the 'burbs. They'll also have a better grasp on talking to strangers (cabbies, waiters), meaning they'll be properly prepared for functioning in the real world.

We're not suggesting that the city is for everyone. Plenty of kids flourish in the suburbs each and every year. That said, we definitely think our little New Yorkers have some major advantages and that parents of city kids luck out, too. Now, if we could just find a bigger apartment...

It's OK to be totally disappointed by your baby's sex

$
0
0

The healthy baby line is what you tell your acquaintances at your baby shower. Real gender disappointment is something you save for those in your inner circle: your husband, your mom, your sister and your best friend.

For new parents, why is gender disappointment shrouded in shame? For starters, many mothers believe that having a preference for one sex or another means that they are disrespecting the child they have. A better word to describe the gender disappointment aftermath would be "guilt."

Adriel Booker, mother, speaker, mentor and leadership coach, was candid about her struggle with gender disappointment during pregnancy. Like many moms who hope for a girl because of that coveted mother-daughter bond (myself included), Booker automatically assumed she was having a girl. She and her husband had a girl's name all picked out.

When the sonographer told Booker and her husband that she was carrying a boy, her sadness at the news surprised her. "It wasn't just that the news caught us by surprise; the deeper issue was that I was ashamed at my sadness… Experiencing gender disappointment made me feel like a failure as a mother," she explained.

On the Badass Breastfeeder blog, Abby Theuring, M.S.W., describes the same disappointment over her secret preference to have a girl. Theuring, too, was familiar with guilt, but she took a more accepting approach to her disappointment, "I told myself that it was OK to be disappointed and not to feel guilty about having these feelings. I am a firm believer that any and all true feelings are valid and important to acknowledge to be able to work through them."

Katherine Asbery, M.A., even wrote a book on this hot-button topic: Altered Dreams…: Living with Gender Disappointment. According to Asbery, the key to coping with guilt and shame is to make gender disappointment less taboo. In reference to Altered Dreams, she said, "Gender disappointment has psychological impact on all facets of one's life. As I share my journey, and those of others, from despair to acceptance after the birth of my third son, you will realize that you are not alone in this way of thinking or feeling."

As the mother of two toddler boys, my most prevalent gender disappointment came when we found out the sex of my second child. I blame most of this pressure on the white-picket-fence version of the typical American family: a dad, a mom, a boy and a girl. We already had one son, so I foolishly assumed that a baby girl would be in the cards for us next.

When we found out that our family was complete with two little boys (since we were done having kids), I felt the disappointment, guilt and shame, too. But as any mother can tell you, and what I hope my youngest son understands if he reads this post in the future, is that the disappointment is natural and fleeting. As you get to know your child, boy or girl, he or she is perfect — you wouldn't want it any other way.

Expecting moms, it's OK to be real when your bubble is burst. The less we lie to ourselves and those around us as parents, the easier it will be to deal with uncomfortable topics like this.

Following on from Hills' smelfie share, dads are encouraged to share their own stinky situations on Twitter with the #smelfie hashtag.

After some input from his fans, it was then decided that #smelfie would be a more appropriate, and accurate, hashtag.

"Yes tweeps, you're right. Photos of Dads changing nappies should be called #smeflies. Now go!" Hills tweeted.

Ghostbusters gets an all-male remake to rival the all-female film

More: 11 Manbabies crying about the new all-female Ghostbusters remake

The all-girls Ghostbusters reboot announced in January had us pretty excited for a sequel to the classic films — in large part because it was a sequel with such a positive twist. Set to star Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon, easily four of the funniest ladies in show business, we're sure the reboot will see plenty of success.

And forgive us for being just a little excited that the rumors about an all-female ghostbusting team, which had been swirling for nearly a year, turned out to be true, putting a lot of sexist people in their place after they said a major movie studio would have to be crazy to turn the boys club that was the classic Ghostbusters into a girl-power action flick.

Ghostbusters 2

More: Proof Ghostbusters scored by casting Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy (GIFs)

Now we learn that Sony has given into the sexist indignance surrounding the film — it was announced today that the studio will create a second reboot, but with a boys-only cast reportedly led by Channing Tatum.

"We want to expand the Ghostbusters universe in ways that will include different films, TV shows, merchandise, all things that are part of modern filmed entertainment," said Ivan Reitman, who has partnered up with Dan Aykroyd to form a production company to handle the Ghostbusters brand. "This is branded entertainment, a scary supernatural premise mixed with comedy. Paul Feig's film will be the first version of that, shooting in June to come out in July 2016. He's got four of the funniest women in the world, and there will be other surprises to come. The second film has a wonderful idea that builds on that. Drew will start writing and the hope is to be ready for the Russo Brothers' next window next summer to shoot, with the movie coming out the following year. It's just the beginning of what I hope will be a lot of wonderful movies."

It's a nice thought that the plan all along was to have two separate ghostbusting teams, but it seems just a little suspicious that the boys-only Ghostbusters was announced only after the girls-only Ghostbusters received so much backlash.

It seems like Sony is pandering to sexism by backpedaling on the original idea of a female-centric reboot. At the very least, could we consider a mixed-gender Ghostbusters team? Since when do we need to treat men and women like cats and dogs who have to be separated?

14 Reasons Forrest Gump sucks, according to Reddit

$
0
0

The 1994 film, which is one part emotional roller coaster and one part American history lesson, taught us about life, love and accepting yourself for being different. Most people find it hard to fathom that the Oscar-winning picture could be regarded with any kind of contempt.

But, just like a box of chocolates, when it comes to other people's movie reviews, you never know what you are going to get. The diligent Reddit army is here to school us on all of the reasons why Forrest Gump is actually really crappy. Do they make valid points?

More: 11 Reasons '90s boy bands are infinitely better than today's boy bands

1. It's too long

Forrest Gump

Image: Giphy

One Reddit user pointed out that Tom Hanks' character was not interesting enough to stick with for 145 minutes. It's kind of true on one level or another, being that we get antsy during pretty much any movie that runs longer than two hours.

2. Jenny is a terrible person

Forrest Gump

Image: Giphy

While we agree that Jenny did put Forrest through the wringer, we still didn't hate her and, even if we did, that doesn't make Forrest Gump a bad movie. Lots of amazing movies have terrible villains in them.

More: Tom Hanks' son makes a music video that literally makes us sick (VIDEO)

3. It's the only thing associated with Savannah now

Forrest Gump

Image: Giphy

Apparently, people in Savannah, Georgia, where much of the film takes place, are constantly asked about Forrest Gump, as if it were the only thing important that ever happened on Georgia turf. While we can agree that it's probably super annoying for locals to constantly have tourists asking about the movie and not have any other knowledge of the history-rich town, it still doesn't make Forrest Gump a bad film.

4. It's right-wing propaganda

Forrest Gump

Image: Giphy

"It centers around an average American low-intelligence nobody that only ever does what he is told, and he gets a rewarding/fulfilling life," one user writes. "Jenny, on the other hand, fights the system, thinks for herself, goes against the grain, and then ends up with AIDS and dies. Very subtle." Touché.

5. It's too rooted in Americana

Forrest Gump

Image: Giphy

While it's true that the movie is based around American history, that doesn't mean it doesn't appeal to non-American audiences, just as people from the United States enjoy foreign films. Although, sometimes things are lost in translation, so it's not totally out of the question for a foreign audience to not love the movie. Still doesn't make Forrest Gump a bad film.

6. Tom Hanks' performance is "profoundly irritating"

Forrest Gump

Image: Giphy

The Academy begs to differ. Hanks took home the Best Actor Oscar for Forrest Gump and his competition in 1995 was pretty stiff: He was up against Paul Newman (for Nobody's Fool), John Travolta (Pulp Fiction), Morgan Freeman (for The Shawshank Redemption) and Nigel Hawthorne (for The Madness of King George).

7. It's cloying, sappy and melodramatic

Forrest Gump

Image: Giphy

That was way harsh, Tai.

8. It's manipulative and condescending to the audience

Forrest Gump

"It isn't a movie that tells a story and let's (sic) the audience feel as it may," writes one Reddit user. We agree that there was a subtext to the movie, but that isn't unique to Forrest Gump. Many films have a subtle theme they are trying to convey.

9. Forrest is too lucky

Forrest Gump

Image: Giphy

He's also pretty unlucky in some respects, though, too.

10. It's a poorly written piece of crap

Lieutenant Dan

Image: Giphy

We don't know about this one. The screenplay actually seemed pretty clever in the way it seamlessly strung together so many real events with fictional ones.

11. It's Oscar bait

Forrest Gump

Image: Giphy

One Reddit user argues that Forrest Gump "deprived many actually revolutionary movies" from winning awards that year. Yes, there were other amazing films nominated in 1995, like The Shawshank Redemption and Pulp Fiction, but just because other movies are good, that doesn't make another one bad. Saying Forrest Gump sucks because Shawshank is an amazing piece of cinema is like saying nobody should watch Dallas Buyers Club because Gravity changed the way we viewed 3-D.

12. It glorifies the simpleton

Forrest Gump

Image: Giphy

Movies glorify all different kinds of people. We could also argue that Forrest Gump stands up for people who are different than the majority of society.

13. It's glorified by pop culture

Forrest Gump

Image: Giphy

Yes, it gets annoying when people relentlessly quote lines from a movie, but it's usually a sign that the film resonated with viewers on one level or another.

14. Forrest's character doesn't develop

Forrest Gump

Image: Giphy

This is a point that several Reddit users agree on; however, another user points out that Forrest is a character "who stopped developing mentally at the age of 8... even with his lifetime of experiences, he would always look at every situation through the eyes of a child."

Bottom line, movies are entertainment and entertainment is opinion. Forrest Gump is loved by many and loathed by some, but isn't that the case for most movies?

Dance show Nothing to Lose celebrates plus-size women and we love it

A stage performance called Nothing to Lose premiered during Sydney Festival earlier this year, but this week, men and women with plus-sized bodies will be flaunting their stuff and showing off the beauty and the athleticism of their bodies.

Too often, plus-size bodies are synonymous with poor health, and exposed flesh is often met with ridicule and fat-shaming. Being overweight is often linked to physical health or lack thereof; bigger bodies are something to hide, behind layers of clothing, kept away and out of public view because they are unhealthy, unappealing and unappreciated.

But thanks to director, Kate Champion, and associate director, Kelli Jean Drinkwater, plus-size bodies are in the spotlight and, damn, they look good. They look strong, powerful and beautiful.

"It's still a bit rigid, the body type we tend to have in dance — even in contemporary dance," Champion said to the Saturday Paper.

"I know dance needs a certain level of athleticism and shape — there are a lot of lifts and things — but still."

And it was from that thought process that the idea behind Force Majeure's Nothing to Lose came about.

But Champion's fascination with the human body extends further than weight — she's also created productions that explore the body's journey through age and disability.

"I love seeing what time or age does to a body," she says. "Or disability. Or strength." And several of these factors make an appearance during the production, which this week features both professional plus-size dancers and actors.

Not being a plus-size woman herself, Champion sought to collaborate with Drinkwater, who has worked as a plus-size model, to get a better understanding of what it is like to be plus-size.

"I had no idea the level of abuse that a lot of [the show's dancers] experience daily and how they have to prepare themselves to go out in public all the time," Champion said. "That's quite shocking."

The Black Eyed Peas frontman also serves as the "chief creative officer" of the 3-D printing company, 3D Systems. Rolling Stone reports he's seen the company's work firsthand, including turning recyclables into clothes and bicycles, but that he has other, scarier ideas about the future of the business.

"I'm going to say something controversial," the rapper said. "Eventually 3D printing will print people. That's scary. So right now we can print in post-consumer plastics, which is awesome. We can print in aluminum, which is bigger machines and awesome. We can print in titanium, which is pretty freaking crazy and amazing. We can print in steel, which is freaking hardcore. You can print in chocolate, and that's sweet. You can print in freaking protein; you can make freaking meat. You can print leather. You can print a liver. So if you can print a liver or a kidney. God dang it, you're going to be able to print a whole freaking person. And that's scary."

And he may have a point. Scientists have already used 3-D printers to build organs out of living cells. That technology isn't just a Grey's Anatomy story line anymore — in fact, will.i.am thinks we'll see the ability to print entire humans become a reality within our lifetime. The time to prepare for that, he says, is now.

"So unfortunately that is the reality, but at the same time it pushes humanity to have to adhere to new responsibilities, new morals," he explained. "New lessons are going to have to be implemented. For real. Now we're getting into a whole new territory. I don't know what year it was, Moses comes down with the Ten Commandments and says 'Thou shalt not...' He didn't say shit about 3D printing. Humans — as great as we are — are pretty irresponsible. Ask the planet. Ask the environment."

Julie Bishop asked if she'd free the nipple during Q&A

Annabel Crabb was in the hot seat for the all-women addition, with the likes of Germaine Greer, foreign minister Julie Bishop, author Roxane Gay, youth advocate Yassmin Abdel-Magied, and Best & Less CEO Holly Kramer taking to the panel.

Of course, all the expected topics came up for debate, like gender equality, sexism at work and the like, but the discussion took an interesting turn when a member of the audience directed a question to the panel about women who share photos of themselves topless and claim it's feminism.

The question was directed in Greer's direction, who pretty surprisingly said the size of the breasts has quite a lot to do with the impact of the political statement. That is, the bigger the boobs, the bigger the political statement. Here's what Greer had to say.

"It's always very strange, because you get the picture online of these women who've taken their tops off and are standing nobly in the street and there's never anybody there — except the police who are going to arrest them, any minute," she said.

"And they never have big breasts, have you noticed? If they actually had breasts, that would cause wonder and amazement, they wouldn't do it. They're always under-endowed… it's another version of exhibitionism, and I'm not sure it accomplishes anything at all."

Crabb then shuffled the opportunity to respond to Bishop, who said she was more familiar with emojis than the Free the Nipple campaign.

"It's not something that I've ever actually had the desire to do online," Bishop said. "I'm quite adept at my emoji language, but that's about as radical as I get."

And then things just got a whole lot more awkward when Greer piped up with, "But what if it got you the commutation of the life sentences for two Australians in prison?"

Bishop has been vocal of her support for the two Australian men, Myuran Sukumaran and Andrew Chan, who currently find themselves on death row in Bali. But that Greer had the audacity to link some exhibitionism with getting the two men clemency, well, that was all a bit too much for Bishop to take in.

"Please don't go there, Germaine," Bishop pleaded. "Please don't go there."

The look of shock on Bishop's face was mirrored by viewers' responses on Twitter.

More: Ryan Gosling pulls a Kanye, interrupts Russell Crowe at award show (VIDEO)

We've already seen him displaying his adorably young acting chops on Goosebumps. And we've seen him sing his little heart out alongside Justin Timberlake to throngs of tiny girl fans on the Disney Channel.

But could preteen Ryan Gosling dance? Yes. Yes he could.

A trifecta of throwback videos hit the internet over the weekend and they proved what we already long suspected: Even at 12 years old, Ryan Gosling had more swag than any of us have now.

Feast your eyes on these gems showing Gosling gracing all our lives with some of the most impressive moves of the entire last millenium.

And while the Elvis throwback was already too hot to handle for #tbt, the next pair of videos put it to shame. The Gos gets his moves on in a pair of Hammer pants — that he rocks harder than a man twice his age could have — front and center, star of the show, and the video also features a sizeable crowd of energetically dancing ladies. Because, of course, the Gos was dancing with an entire gaggle of girls before he even hit puberty.

How The Bachelorette plans to pull off having two women, instead of one

More: 10 Truths revealed on The Bachelor: The Women Tell All

The upcoming Season 11 of the ABC reality competition will #bless us with not just one, but two eligible ladies: The Bachelor's Britt Nilsson, who was axed during Week 7, and Kaitlyn Bristowe, who made it all the way to third place during Chris Soules' season.

So how is that going to work? It turns out, having two bachelorettes isn't totally unprecedented.

According to Us Weekly, the 2004 sixth season of The Bachelor featured two hunks who both met the ladies on the first night, and then, in a tables-have-turned moment, the contestants got to vote on who would be the final Bachelor. According to the site, the next Bachelorette season will be set up pretty much the same way: The men looking for love will vote for either Britt or Kaitlyn to continue on the show.

More: Chris Soules, Chris Harrison give telling interview about the next Bachelorette

The twist was revealed by host, Chris Harrison, during Monday's After the Final Rose special that followed the two-hour Season 19 finale.

Both Britt and Kaitlyn had expressed that they were open to being the next Bachelorette.

"I think the process works," Britt said at the Women Tell All special. "It worked for me up until a certain point, and I think it works for him and I've seen it work for a lot of couples," she said. "And yeah, I think that would be an amazing experience and if they asked me I would say yes."

Kaitlyn added, "It's a unique opportunity that I think opens a lot of doors for real love to happen. I always talk about the definition [of] insanity — you do something over and over again and you expect a different result, and I'm like, 'I keep doing that, I keep falling in love with people and you expect a different result,' but I'm super willing, excited to do that again."

An insider close to the show told Us that Britt and Kaitlyn were both so well liked by fans, producers of the show didn't want to pick just one of them.

"They're not necessarily thrilled about this, but they're also not horrified or upset," the source said. "Clearly they both wanted to be the next Bachelorette, so they're happy with sharing the role rather than not having it at all."

13 Reasons we wish life was like a musical

OK, maybe I'm extrapolating just a little too much from my own experience, but I often think that my life would be infinitely better if it were set to show tunes. Come on, whipping together dinner with Oliver's "Food, Glorious Food" playing in the background? Yes, please.

But it doesn't stop there. Here are 13 more reasons why we wish life was like a musical.

1. The timing is perfect

grease

Image: Giphy

No weird lulls in action. No wasted years. Just perfect choreography for every action and every song.

2. The kids are all right

annie

Image: Giphy

The child prodigies in musicals are a lot more talented than most real-life children, who's voices tend to sound more like screeching than actual singing.

3. There's seldom a dull moment

singing in the rain

Image: Giphy

Bored? Time for another number. It can be about anything — there's nothing too dull for a song and dance.

4. The victorious breakup

Image: Giphy

Just walk away, girl. It's a lot more victorious with a heartfelt solo.

5. An energetic leading man

Image: Giphy

What a nice departure from a leading man who mostly watches football.

6. Random spinning

twirl

Image: Giphy

Spontaneous leaping, twirling and skipping is good for the soul.

7. Oh, the costumes

chicago

Image: Giphy

Forget yoga pants. I'll take that spicy little number from Chicago any day.

8. The catharsis

Image: Giphy

In musicals, there's nothing about keeping a stiff upper lip or choking down the emotions. They let it all hang out there — the more emotion, the better.

9. The well-rounded men

well rounded

Image: Giphy

Sure, musicals are full of all types of male characters — from businessmen to athletes to gangsters. But you best believe they can dance, sing, emote and fall in and out of love like an image of male perfection.

10. The straight-up giddiness of it all

giddy

Image: Giphy

When was the last time you just had to shuffle and twirl because you were so happy?

11. Headgear

hats

Image: Giphy

I think it's fair to say that the world would be better if we could all wear a nice hat with every outfit.

12. The diffusion of awkwardness

mamma mia

Image: Giphy

Musicals tackle some wild stuff. No matter. Not sure who of three men is the father of your child? Bring them all together for a little singing and dancing; that should solve it.

13. Harmony

Both enemies and friends know how to share the stage and harmonize with one another. How quaint.
