A New Royal Tell-All Reveals the Queen's Shady Side

It really should come as no surprise that the delightfully sassy Queen Elizabeth II is capable of throwing some major shade. And since we already know the queen was not the biggest fan of her son Prince Charles' second wife, Camilla Parker-Bowles, now the Duchess of Cornwall, it should come as no surprise the duchess was the recipient of some royal salt from the queen.

More: 17 Things That Will Happen When Queen Elizabeth Dies

In a new book about the royal family, journalist Tom Bower does not shy away from the often-icy relationship between Elizabeth and Camilla, even going so far as to call the animosity between them a "Cold War."

And the book, entitled Rebel Prince: The Power, Passion and Defiance of Prince Charles, even details a night when the queen had a drink or two too many and let fly her real feelings about Camilla, royal decorum be damned. The event took place at Balmoral Castle in the summer of 1998 (a year after Princess Diana died) after the queen had downed "several martinis."

More: 13-Year-Old Queen Elizabeth Fell in Love With Philip at First Sight

"[Charles] asked that she soften her antagonism so he could live openly with Camilla. His hope was that the Queen, who rarely interfered, would at least not directly forbid it," an excerpt read. "But on that evening she'd had several martinis, and to Charles's surprise she replied forcefully: she would not condone his adultery, nor forgive Camilla for not leaving Charles alone to allow his marriage to recover. She vented her anger that he had lied about his relationship with what she called 'that wicked woman', and added: 'I want nothing to do with her.'"

TBH, that's cold as hell, but we'd still hang out with the queen on martini night. And eventually, things warmed up, because the queen gave her official approval before Charles and Camilla married in 2005. All's well that ends well, right?

Beyoncé and Jay Z have something up their sleeves. We don't know what, but with so many big announcements happening lately in their lives — their twins, their joint tour — we're sure it's going to be something incredible. This is Beyoncé and Jay Z we're talking about, after all.

Music's premiere power couple has been spotted and photographed several times in the last few days in Jamaica, riding around on a motorbike wearing high-fashion type outfits that aren't exactly a good fit for a Jamaican vacation, like a velour tracksuit and white fishnets. People on the scene report they were filming something.

So what are these two up to now? It's probably something related to their "On The Run 2" world tour that they just announced. A promotional video for the tour maybe? That seems likely. We hardly even dare hope for this, but what if it's a video for new music they're collaborating on and dropping to support the tour? A girl can dream, right?

And while they're in Jamaica, here's hoping they manage to squeeze in some relaxing beach time before things get really busy this summer. They're going to need it.

The Real Reason Cameron Diaz Is 'Retired' From Acting Right Now

Updated, March 21, 2018, 11:35 a.m. PT: Well, we now know why Cameron Diaz is taking a break from acting, and we're way less mad about it. There are two words to explain her career change: Benji Madden.

"I can’t say whether or not she will go back to being a full-time actress, but for now she has other interests, causes she believes in, and time to pursue them," a source told People magazine. "Cameron has made a wonderful life for herself. Marriage agrees with her."

OK, how sweet is that? They're an unlikely couple, but they seem truly happy together.

"He came along at the right time in her life, and she knows she made the right decision to be with him," the insider added. "Cameron has never had a romance like this one where it is feels like even ground."

Our ideal world is one in which Diaz is still making all our favorite romcoms. But if she's happy, we're happy. And she is clearly happy.

Original article, published March 13, 3:46 a.m. PT:

Where were you when the reports first broke that Cameron Diaz was done with acting? Luckily, I was at home and able to flop onto my couch and sigh wistfully. The thought of no new Diaz material was a little too distressing for a Monday to be perfectly honest with you. But then, just a couple of hours later, it seemed like it was all just a silly rumor and that Diaz wasn't actually retired and we'd all somehow missed the memo. But even after this whirlwind of confusion had settled, it still feels like more answers are needed about what Diaz is actually up to these days and why she isn't jumping into any new projects.

More: Source Says Cameron Diaz & Benji Madden Are Trying Everything to Have a Baby

Let's back up a bit for those who might have missed the entire story. On Monday afternoon, news emerged that Selma Blair, who once starred in The Sweetest Thing with and remains close to Diaz, casually noted in an interview with Metro News that she'd seen Diaz at a lunch date recently and that — get this — Diaz had made it clear she was done with acting.

Cameron Diaz Bad Teacher Stupid GIF

"I had lunch with Cameron the other day, we were reminiscing about [The Sweetest Thing]," Blair noted. "I would have liked to do a sequel but Cameron’s retired from acting, she’s like, ‘I’m done.’ I mean, she doesn’t need to make any more films, she has a pretty great life, I don’t know what it would take to bring her back. She’s happy."

But it now seems like it was all a joke on Blair's part and that everyone got their britches in a twist (way to make that clear, sis). By Monday evening, she was forced to circle back on those comments — especially because Diaz maintained her silence during this entire kerfuffle — and set the record straight. "BREAKING NEWS. Guys please, I was making a joke in an interview. CAMERON DIAZ is NOT retiring from ANYTHING. And for more breaking news: I am NOW retiring from being Cameron Diaz’s spokesperson," she tweeted out, attempting to dispel any worry Diaz was forever done with acting.

Diaz Acting Blair Tweet

Diaz Acting Blair Tweet

Even though Blair was joking about Diaz basically being retired from acting, there might actually be some truth to the matter. Diaz hasn't appeared in a movie since 2014 when she starred in two commercially unsuccessful films, Sex Tape and Annie; 4 years is a long hiatus in showbiz, y'all. Combine that possible hesitation to hop back into acting after getting burned pretty hard by movie audiences with the fact that she's super-in love with her husband, musician Benji Madden, and wants to have a family with him, and it's easy to see why all this fuss about Diaz's possible retirement took off so quickly.

More: Cameron Diaz's Marriage to Benji Madden Actually Sounds Perfect

For now, Diaz seems content just staying in her personal bubble and doing her own thing. While she hasn't made any recent statements about if or when she'll return to the spotlight (in fact, she's kept a pretty low profile for a while now), she did say something pretty indicative of her current headspace about a year ago at a Goop Wellness Summit event.

Cameron Diaz Peace Quiet GIF

"I just went, 'I can't really say who I am to myself.' Which is a hard thing to face up to," Diaz remarked during a panel discussion. "I felt the need to make myself whole." Taking a step back after a whirlwind career spanning the better part of two decades might be just what the doctor ordered in Diaz's case. As for us, we'll just have to patiently wait, let Diaz do her thing and hope she isn't really done with acting, because that would just be too much to deal with.

6 Unusual Fetishes & Other Surprsing Sex Trends

When it comes to getting off, there are various and sundry ways to do it. Much like the spectrum of sexuality that Dr. Alfred Kinsey identified in the mid-20th century, the ways humans get aroused falls on a spectrum as well. Unfortunately, a majority of us are socialized and encouraged to find only a specific set of items, physical traits or actions arousing — most of which are exclusively heteronormative.

But the fact of the matter is that within this majority, there are many who are aroused by some more left-of-center items, physical traits and actions. These points of arousal can turn into fetishes, and those fetishes make a great many sex lives all the more fulfilling.

In the interest of understanding what might get folks going these days, I wanted to take a deeper look at "unusual" fetishes — although I use that term as positively as possible because this isn't about shaming someone who has erotic tastes outside the cultural norm. Unusual, in this case, is literal, e.g., not of the usual sort. You may be into or have heard of some well-known fetishes, including foot fetishes, lingerie fetishes, voyeurism and exhibitionism. But ones outside these culturally dictated norms? Those required a a bit of inquiry.

More: BDSM for Vanilla Couples Is Easier Than You Think

So, in my quest to unpack what unusual fetishes are out there, being tapped into in the pursuit of pleasure, I decided to first ask my friends and see if I could crowdsource some information. It should be noted that while many readily came forward, they all asked that their names be changed to remain anonymous.

1. Stuffed animals & all things furry-related

Both Rose* and Andrea* said they are very attracted to what falls into the furry-related category of fetish play and also ursusagalmatophilia, or the fetishistic attraction to teddy bears. Rose told me, "I've always had a soft teddy bear I'm fond of rubbing over my body. It gets me excited the same way being with a person intimately does."

Andrea revealed that she has a few full-on furry costumes in her closet that she likes to don to get in the mood with her partner, who shares her tastes. She also has a small toy chest with various costume items, including furry animal ears from a party store, animal masks and furry items of clothing she'll sometimes wear during sex.

2. A fetish for all things temperature-related

Erin* is attracted to extreme temperatures. "I remember that the first time I got burned from touching something too hot and the first time I felt extremely cold, respectively, I felt a kind of sexual excitement." While she told me she doesn't always need to be extremely hot or cold during sex ("borderline uncomfortable," she notes), she has found some of the most gratifying sex she's had happened under these circumstances.

More: Why Pornhub Is Offering Free Premium Membership to People on Their Periods

3. A stinging sensation

Lena* kept it short, sweet and descriptive: "Being stung or poked. I don't draw blood, but the sting or pinch of a sharp object sends sexual electricity through me [that] I always need to follow through on."

4. Age play

Glenn* makes it clear up front his unusual fetish involves consenting adults and it is not to be confused with anything resembling pedophilia. "Adult women in diapers really does it for me," he writes. "Eating baby food, being fed a bottle by another person and, if it's a video, doing things like coloring or playing with kids' toys."

5. Extreme weight gain

On the subject of weight-related fetishes, Andrew* told me about his, which could be classified as a feeder fetish. "I like watching women who are already plus-size or possibly obese eat large quantities of food," he wrote to me. "Sometimes I try to find videos on YouTube or, in an attempt to get the same sexual rush in real life, I've sat in various restaurants and tried to watch others eat. I don't touch myself in public, but the thrill of seeing a woman eat becomes burned in my brain... for later," he concluded.

6. A music-related fetish

Gabriel*, a musician themselves, opened up about their music-related fetish. "I've never met anyone with quite the same kind of fetish as mine, but I am extremely aroused by the sound of woodwind instruments. Flutes, clarinets, oboes... there's something about the sound of the wind rushing through the instrument to create music that really turns me on."

Other contenders

And it would seem that my friends are not alone in their desire to see and engage in fetish-related sexual behavior. According to Pornhub's 2017 Year in Review, which includes a veritable boatload's worth of data on user habits across the globe from 2017, all things fetish were notably popular.

"Views in the 'Fetish' category are also up with a 117-second increase from last year, at 11 minutes and 55 seconds," Pornhub explained in their findings on videos in specific categories that earned the longest viewing times. Additionally, Pornhub users in Germany and Switzerland sought out fetish-related content to the point it helped the category get into the top categories searched. While it's unclear what fetishistic acts were viewed or who (in regard to age, gender or sexual identity) was viewing them, it would seem folks inclined toward fetishism aren't relegated to one country.

The bottom line is that unless someone is being hurt or abused in some way (of if it involves something illegal), there's nothing wrong with your particular fetish, whatever it may be or however popular it may be. We're all just looking to feel sexual fulfillment, and truly, there's no shame in that.

You'll Recognize Prince Harry's Former Matchmakers

Before Prince Harry found the happily-ever-after in his royal love story, he went on a lot of blind dates. And the people who set him up on those blind dates are some you may recognize: his cousin, Princess Eugenie, and his sister-in-law, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, aka Kate Middleton.

More: Prince Harry Has Found His Best Man, & Yes, It's Exactly Who You Think It Is

In her new book, Harry: Life, Loss, and Love, royal correspondent Katie Nicholl writes about Harry's quest to find the one he would ultimately end up with. After a few high-profile breakups, he turned to those who knew him best.

"Harry wasn't giving up [after things ended with exes Chelsy Davy and Cressida Bonas], even going on blind dates organized by Kate and his cousin Princess Eugenie, who had a good track record when it came to setting Harry up," she wrote.

But that "good track record" didn't extend to Harry's most serious romances. Eugenie and Kate didn't set him up with Davy, who Nicholl writes Harry had an on-and-off relationship with all the way up to 2015.

"You sort of get the feeling that neither of them were quite ever willing to completely let go of that love affair," she wrote. "They’d carved their names into one of the tree trunks on the family estate. It was such a love affair, it really was. Right up until 2015 they were trying to give it another chance. I was quite struck by that and I think everyone that’s been in love, you know, you never forget your first love, and in that respect I think Prince Harry was no different. And I think what’s so lovely is he still manages to have a friendship with Chelsy, and there’s that amazing respect between the two of them. Neither of them have spoken about their relationship and I think you have to respect and admire them for that."

And when Harry met his fiancée, Meghan Markle, it was actually set up by a mutual friend, Ralph Lauren PR girl Violet von Westenholz, not Eugenie or Kate. So give them points for trying, but their matchmaking skills didn't quite come through in the end. Still, I'd let them set me up. Any hot single princes I should know about? What a dream that would be.

Meet the Woman Pushing for Businesses to Be More Size-Inclusive

Winning Women banner

Most of us are regular users of reviews online, whether it’s seeing what people say about the food at a restaurant, how people feel about the hairstylists at a local salon or what kind of equipment is at your nearest gym.

But here’s something you may not have had to evaluate: Whether or not your body will fit in the chairs. For people of size, this is a real issue, and two women are out to help solve it. Rebecca Alexander and Michele Amar have cocreated an app called AllGo.

AllGo will feature the ability to rate things like whether chairs have arms (a frustrating, often nonessential design feature that can leave larger people without a place to sit), whether tables move in order to create more space, what width aisles are, what parking in the area is like, whether there are stairs outside or inside the restaurant and whether the waiting area has seating.

Alexander and Amar have just launched a campaign on Kickstarter to raise at least $50,000 so their app can be handed to developers and made into a reality. Cultural powerhouses Roxane Gay and Tess Holliday are putting their support behind it, so you know it’s going to be awesome.

We talked with Alexander to get background on what inspired the app and what she imagines for its future.

SheKnows: What inspired the app?

Rebecca Alexander: As a fat person myself, I have noticed this behavior in myself when I get invited to a new place or one of my favorite bands is playing in a theater I’ve never been to, whatever the situation is, I worry about not being able to fit. In seats or in booths or what have you. So typically, I go online and I try to find images of a restaurant’s seating. I can’t tell you how many pictures of ravioli I have scrolled through to figure out whether or not a restaurant’s chairs have arms.

More: 15 Up-&-Coming Female Tech Geniuses Doing Amazing Things

I started to feel sad about that, the anxiety I was experiencing, and then I read a couple of great books. Hunger by Roxane Gay and We’re Never Meeting in Real Life by Samantha Irby. Both of those authors described a similar behavior where they had to do an intense amount of research before going to a new place so they could essentially work up the courage to go. And I just was like, "OK, I’m not alone. Who else out here is experiencing this?"

SK: Which types of businesses you’re focusing on at launch?

RA: We’ve asked our users what is most important to them and what we have found is that restaurants are really important, theaters are secondarily important, and then that’s followed by gyms and medical offices.

Some items on our wish list are airlines — we want to be able to review different airlines in different airports because people have a lot of questions about how airline policies are implemented in different spaces because it’s largely staff-dependent. So are they aware of the customer size policy at PDX but they’re not in Austin? Those sorts of questions.

And then, also, another one we would love to add is theme parks, so making sure those are very specific to different locations, so that will be pretty easy, and it may not even be crowdsourced because those data points are pretty fixed.

This is not about our bodies being too big for seats. This about seats really being too small for our bodies.

SK: How are you hoping it will impact society?

RA: I don’t think businesses necessarily understand the impact of some of their decisions when it comes to seating. I think people are making decisions primarily based on aesthetics and cost, and I think with a little bit more information, they could understand how they’re sending messages that places aren’t welcoming for people of size.

More: 31 Empowering Ways to Celebrate Women's History Month

SK: Do you imagine this being useful for other identities too?

RA: Fat people are not just fat. We have a variety of identities. Understanding the intersections in our lives, we would want to make sure that people aren’t having to go to multiple sources to get their needs met. But also, we found in our user research about 10 other groups of people who want accessibility information that is crowdsourced. Wheelchair users are a good example. Some of the data points will be very similar; some of them will be more specific to different identities. The long-range plans are to truly answer the question, “Can we all go?” in this app.

SK: What else should people know?

RA: One of the things that I want people to understand is that this app is designed with fat bodies in mind, but we really think that one of the user groups for this is going to be “straight-size” people who have fat friends and family members. So when you’re going out and you want to suggest a venue, we hope that you’ll go to AllGo and see if there’s seating available.

I have a dear friend of mine who is a small person, and I have been going to her barbecues for years, and she has never noticed that I’ve never sat down. She doesn’t have any chairs that I can feel confident in… I started talking with her about this app and this business, and the next time she invited me to a barbecue, she said, “Oh, and I’m getting new chairs.”

More: The Investment Tips Every Woman Should Know

She loves me dearly, but she’s never thought about this because she hasn’t had to. Now she is. If that can happen for people en masse, where people are making decisions about the furniture they buy for their homes, I would be so happy.

Fred Savage Denies Physically Assaulting a Member of 'The Grinder' Crew

Former child star Fred Savage, also known for his more recent work on Fox's The Grinder and Modern Family, is coming forward to publicly deny claims of physical assault that were recently made by a female member of The Grinder's wardrobe department. This is not the first time in recent that Savage has been at the center of serious allegations of physical or sexual assault, either. In January, Savage's former Wonder Years co-star Alley Mills came forward in an interview to deny that the show ended in relation to the allegations of sexual assault Savage (then 16) and his other co-star, Jason Hervey (then 20) faced from Monique Long, who worked in the show's costume department.

More: Nicole Eggert Details Her Sexual Assault Experience in Megyn Kelly Interview

Now, Savage is one again publicly tied up with yet another female crew member from another TV show he has worked on and he is once again on the defensive. On Wednesday, Entertainment Tonight reported that Youngjoo Hwang, who worked in the wardrobe department on the set of The Grinderfiled a lawsuit against Savage in Los Angeles for assault, battery and harassment. She also came forward with a public statement about the alleged physical assault she endured at the hands of Savage and additionally claimed that the network — Fox — might have been more concerned with protecting Savage despite Savage allegedly being both physically and verbally abusive towards her and other female crew members on set.

In Hwang's public statement, she alleged that "Savage was known to intimidate, bully and torment female crew members while they were performing their job duties."

Additionally, People magazine reported that during a press conference Hwang stated, "Mr. Savage was aggressive towards me. He would routinely curse at me, yell at me, demean me when all I was trying to do my job. It became more and more stressful for me to go to work because I was scared of the abuse and what I would have to encounter on any given day. I’m not the only women on set that Mr. Savage target. There were others and this was well known on set," she told the press.

Hwang claims that she tried to go to those in charge with her complaints about Savage's treatment of her, but she was allegedly not listened to and finally, she hit her breaking point when Savage "'violently struck'" her three times with his hand while she was attempting to remove dandruff from his jacket in between filming.

More: Kevin Spacey Will Seek Treatment Following His Sexual Assault Allegations

Savage sent a response to People shortly after Hwang's allegations came to light. The statement includes Savage's acknowledgment of the bravery of victims who have come forward in recent months with their own stories of sexual and physical assault, but he denies Hwang's claims completely.

"I have witnessed tremendous courage over these past few months, watching brave women who have come forward publicly fighting through the shame and stigma of harassment," Savage writes. "I’ve seen first-hand the growing support in this movement that has always felt so lacking. As someone who has always tried to live honorably and with integrity, it never dawned on me that my name could be on the other side."

He continues: "I was made aware that a woman working in the costume department of a show I was on almost three years ago has claimed that I treated her harshly on set simply because she was a woman. These accusations are completely without merit and absolutely untrue. Fox conducted an extensive internal investigation into her claims, a process in which I fully participated. After concluding a thorough investigation, Fox determined that there was absolutely no evidence to support these accusations. None of her claims could be substantiated because they did not happen," he states.

Savage goes on to conclude that "I have been working in the entertainment industry my whole life and have always endeavored to treat everyone on any set I work on respectfully and professionally. While none of the accusations being leveled at me are true, I wholeheartedly support all people who feel they are being mistreated come forward and speak to human resources and those in charge,” Savage says. “We have witnessed so much bravery from those speaking out recently, but I will just as boldly protect myself and my family from those seeking to tarnish my good name. I cannot let these people, in particular, denigrate me while harming the message of thousands of women and others who have suffered and continue to suffer."

More: Corey Feldman Wants Terry Crews to Help Stop Sexual Assault in Hollywood

People also reports that Fox is choosing the support Savage over Hwang in this matter, which might be disconcerting to most but also, sadly, not too surprising. That a major studio would choose to support the man who faces severe allegations rather than remaining neutral or (dare it be thought?) perhaps show a modicum of support for the female complainant in this situation is certainly not worthy of any surprise these days. We can only hope that, despite a pattern of behavior from multiple women about Savage's behavior coming to light over the course of his career, these women can find a bit of justice and resolution despite having gone through great pain to bring these allegations forward.

Things couldn't be more picture-perfect for Christina El Moussa right now. She seems to be merrily rolling along, looking more in love than ever with her new beau, TV presenter Ant Anstead, and living her best life with her two kids. We recently got a peek at what her cute date nights with Anstead look like these days, including a sporty hockey date complete with cozy cartoon socks. Add to this the fact that they can't seem to stop posting about each other on social media, and it's hard not to get all warm and fuzzy basking in the glow of their relationship.

Now, it looks like Anstead is upping the ante on their typical date nights by whisking El Moussa away to his home country, England, for what looks to be a trip filled with nostalgic sites that will help El Moussa get to know him a little better. On Wednesday evening, both she and Anstead posted the same photo (below) of the two in an embrace in front of a luxe sports car and what looks to be an older brick manor. Whatever is happening on this vacation, I'm already super-curious; it looks like so much fun.

In El Moussa's photo caption she crowdsourced some input on what to see in London while also hinting at what she and Anstead are doing on their trip. "Exploring @ant_anstead's old stomping grounds in his race car. #yesplease...suggestions on must-see spots in London appreciated," she wrote.

Meanwhile, over on his own Instagram, Anstead captioned the pic with something just as cute and hinted at his eagerness to show El Moussa more about his own world. "Within moments of landing in the U.K. I couldn’t help it.....we grabbed the G40 and gave @christinaelmoussa a tour of my world....where I grew up, my school, my town, racecar style.... but what car tomorrow?"

OK, so, I don't think I'm alone in saying this is just about the cutest relationship development for these lovebirds, right? I mean, Anstead seems so excited to show El Moussa more about himself (the pair reportedly met in California, where he relocated for work) and she seems totally game.

Is Fresh Air Actually Good for Your Health?

$

0

If you've experienced nausea, a cold or an anxiety attack, chances are someone has told you that you need to get some fresh air. In theory, that's great — who doesn't love fresh air? But does this longtime cure have any actual health benefits? We've asked some experts to separate truth from myth.

The fresh-air cure

While fresh air has likely been used as a treatment for a variety of ailments for centuries, let's start our look back in the mid-19th century when Dr. Edward Livingston Trudeau — a medical doctor living with tuberculosis — moved his family up to the remote village of Saranac Lake, New York. Before there was a medical treatment for the severe pulmonary condition — also known at the time as consumption — the standard of care was ensuring that tubercular patients got plenty of rest, hearty foods and yes, fresh air.

While this method worked for some people — particularly if they were living in a sanatorium designed to house and treat those with tuberculosis — it wasn't nearly as effective as drugs like streptomycin (which started to be used in the late 1940s) and eventually fell out of favor with medical professionals as the primary cure for TB. But even though fresh air may not have been the cure itself, the idea that it had health benefits has never gone away.

More: A Beginner's Guide to Meditation

How about now?

As it turns out, while doctors today aren't prescribing months of sitting on a cure porch as the main treatment for pulmonary conditions, many do see the merit in taking in the fresh air.

"While there is no magical 'fresh-air cure,' there are clearly both physical and emotional health benefits to spending more time outside in the fresh air," Dr. Eric Morley, a pediatrician at MemorialCare Saddleback Medical Center in Laguna Hills, California, tells SheKnows.

Specifically, Morley says that winter is "illness season" for children, in part because they spend so much time indoors — whether that's in day care or school — in close proximity to other kids, which allows for germs to spread easily.

"The more time we spend in close quarters indoors with other people, the more exposure we have to germs and the more likely we will get sick," he explains. "Even just opening a window or door allows fresh air to circulate and contaminated air to be let out."

What does fresh air actually do for us?

Not only are the benefits of fresh air real, but they also impact both our physical and mental health.

Dr. Anthony Wong, an internist at Orange Coast Medical Center in Fountain Valley, California, says staying indoors where you are breathing stale or recirculated air makes our bodies have to work harder to get the oxygen they need and fresh air will help to rejuvenate our bodies and minds.

"Serotonin is a neurotransmitter hormone in the brain that is vital to maintaining a healthy emotional state," Wong tells SheKnows. "Changes in serotonin levels have been associated with anxiety and depression. Because the level of serotonin in our brain is affected by the amount of oxygen that you inhale, it makes sense that getting some fresh air can improve your sense of happiness and well-being."

More: What to Do If You Get Sick While Traveling

In addition, Dr. Jimmy Johannes, a pulmonologist at Long Beach Medical Center in California, says there is some evidence supporting the idea that fresh air is beneficial to your health.

"Specifically, we know that long-term air pollution and smoke exposure can be associated with various lung diseases, mainly asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease as well as heart disease," he tells SheKnows. "There is also data to suggest that good ventilation may reduce the risk of contagion from airborne diseases like tuberculosis." On top of that, Johannes says that getting fresh air "from the great outdoors" by camping or hiking in a wilderness environment has been associated with reduced stress and improved mental health.

More: Active Winter Wellness Retreats to Make the Most of the Snow

But for many people, getting clean, fresh air may not be as simple as stepping outside, Johannes notes. "If you live in an area that tends to get good air quality, then go ahead and open your windows and take a deep breath," he says. "But if the air quality is poor, especially near major highly trafficked roads or highways, industrial areas or large airports, air from an HVAC system with a good filter may be better for you."

If you are able to get some (relatively) fresh air, Wong recommends actually stepping outside.

"Taking a short break outdoors can leave you feeling refreshed and more energized to get back to your daily tasks," he explains. "People with allergies to pollen or people with skin cancer may need to take special precautions before going outside. However, we should all take advantage of the fresh air outdoors. It’s merely a few steps away from where you are now… and it’s free."

McDonald's Knows We Love Caramel So Much, They Debuted New Turtle Drinks

There are three kinds of people in the world: those who punch in their coffee order on the Starbucks app and pick up their drink on their way to work, those who hit the Dunkin' Donuts drive-thru and boldly order an early morning doughnut for b-fast and, finally, the McCafé peeps. I'd argue most of us are all about the ‘bux life, but after hearing about the new coffee additions to the McDonald's menu, we might have to make a temporary switch.

Last September, McDonald's amped up its McCafé menu with the addition of its caramel macchiato, cappuccino and Americano drinks. And as of yesterday, McDonald's debuted new seasonal turtle coffee drinks — all of which sound downright delicious with their blend of chocolate, caramel and hazelnut flavors. But you better get 'em while you can because they're only on menus for a limited time starting in early April.

"Over the last year, McCafé has broken new ground with a series of exciting changes and it's only just begun," says Elina Veksler, senior director of McCafé menu innovation, in a statement on the company's website. "Our Turtle coffee beverages are a new take on an indulgent treat. […] These beverages are skillfully made by restaurant crew for just the right balance of flavors, ensuring our customers receive a café-quality beverage every time."

First, we have the turtle macchiato, which you can get hot or iced. It's layered with creamy milk and bold espresso and topped with a sweet chocolate drizzle. Then — and this one's a personal favorite — the iced turtle coffee with a blend of chocolate, caramel and hazelnut topped off with a dash of rich cream.

The drinks start at just $2, and as always, you can get your drink of choice delivered with McDelivery on Uber Eats. It's almost as if McDonald's gets us.

McDonald's will continue serving its coffee drinks in its newly designed Forest Stewardship Council-certified hot cups as part of McDonald's continued efforts to source 100 percent of its fiber-based packaging from certified or recycled sources by 2020.

Is it April yet?

Information on Lesbian & Bisexual Women's Health Removed From Health Department Site

The website of the Department of Health and Human Services should probably include information and resources for all parts of the U.S. population, right? Well, thanks to the Sunlight Foundation, a government transparency project, we now know that all mentions of health concerns for lesbian or bisexual women have been removed from the HHS website.

Now, chances are women are not flocking to the HHS website for all their health information, but that's not the point. This is yet another example of the current administration further marginalizing already marginalized groups.

More: My Sex Ed Ignored LGBTQ People — So I Took Matters Into My Own Hands

The Sunlight Foundation released two reports that tracked the removal of a webpage devoted to lesbian and bisexual health, links to LGBTQ topics and other references from Womenshealth.gov, a site maintained by HHS’s Office on Women’s Health. These changes were made between September and October 2017.

HHS responded to these reports, telling Politico that these pages and links — some of which date back to 2012 — were taken off the site as part of a routine content update, saying: "The outdated lesbian and bisexual health pages were removed and the health content was integrated into the relevant health topics pages across the website.”

But according to the reports from the Sunlight Foundation, these pages have not yet been updated nor has the information they contained been incorporated into other parts of the HHS site.

An example of one of the now-missing pages is a landing page dedicated to health concerns for lesbians and bisexual women. The page read: "All women have specific health risks, and can take steps to improve their health through regular medical care and healthy living. Research tells us that lesbian and bisexual women are at a higher risk for certain problems than other women are, though. It is important for lesbian and bisexual women to talk to their doctors about their health concerns."

In addition to that, there was a drop-down menu answering more specific questions on lesbian and bisexual women's health, including the group's risk for sexually transmitted infections (a topic typically left out of sex ed class), the specific challenges lesbian and bisexual women face in the health care system and what they can do to protect their health.

Andrew Bergman of the Sunlight Foundation, who was one of the leaders of the study, told Politico that similar purging of LGBTQ information has happened on other HHS pages, but these stand out.

More: Birth Control Plays a Lifesaving Role in My Lesbian Relationship

"We’ve seen nothing this targeted at one HHS site,” he told Politico. “The removal of lesbian and bisexual health materials in particular, without advance notice and in a targeted way, raise concerns that they’ve targeted information for vulnerable populations.”

Fortunately, there are other existing (and more comprehensive) resources for health information for lesbian and bisexual women, including those from the National LGBT Health Education Center, the Centers for Disease Control, Planned Parenthood, the Sexuality Information and Education Council of the United States, the Bisexual Resource Center and Scarleteen, among others.

9 Sex Positions You've Gotta Try for Mind-Blowing Orgasms

Don't believe all the hype from movies, porn and TV — female orgasms don't come as quick and easy as the entertainment industry would have us believe. In reality, only about 57 percent of us are climaxing every time we have sex, and that's usually when a form of stimulation other than penetration is involved. In fact, according to a study published in the Journal of Sex and Marital Therapy in 2017, 37 percent of American women required clitoral stimulation to experience an orgasm, and 18 percent (!) of women said they were able to come on vaginal penetration alone.

The bottom line: Many women aren't having screaming orgasms Samantha Jones-style every time we hook up. But that doesn't mean we should give up trying. We just need to get a little creative with our sex positions — with these nine sex positions almost guaranteed to give you mind-blowing orgasms.

1. The butterfly position or modified missionary

Butterfly sex position

"With the woman on her back and her hips on the edge of the bed, the man penetrates her while standing," says Dr. Madeleine M. Castellanos, a psychiatrist who specializes in sex therapy. "She then puts her legs over his shoulders and tilts her hips slightly upward. This gives a wonderful angle for cervical stimulation, with deep penetration that can produce some intense vaginal and uterine orgasms. With more shallow penetration, a man can stimulate the anterior vaginal wall to hit the G-spot."

2. Modified coital alignment technique

Modified coital alignment technique sex position illustration

"A couple starts off in missionary position," says Dr. Castellanos. "Once a man penetrates a woman deeply, he allows her to bring her legs together between his. He then shifts his weight slightly forward so that the shaft of his erection is producing firm pressure and friction on her clitoris as he moves. This works very well for women that prefer to have clitoral stimulation during penetration to reach a very powerful orgasm."

3. The countertop

The countertop sex position illustration

"This is my favorite. It's when the woman is lying on her back on the counter or table while he enters standing. It's rough," says Margaret Wagner, sex expert and founder of the now-closed Bedroom Matters. "There's pushing aside of papers, pepper shakers, which add to the sense of urgency and inappropriateness. It's easy to maneuver and move the woman to slide along the counter. There is still contact. He goes deep and feels in control. It works all the way around. The keys are clothing, stuff in the way and being in an open space. Still allows for connection while feeling dirty. It just works on so many levels. It's not about acrobats. It's about context."

4. The seated scissors

The seated scissors sex position illustration

"This position allows the woman to have the control in order to determine the depth and angle of penetration as well as how much clitoral stimulation she gets," says Dr. Castellanos. "With the man lying flat on his back and his knees bent, she straddles him with one leg to the side of his hip and the other leg between his legs. The woman can then find just the right spot to grind against his pubic bone with him inside her. She controls the pace, the depth and the amount of pressure and friction she receives. This is definitely a prescription for mind-blowing sex!"

5. Get off, stand up

"I'm no [pro], but whenever I've had sex standing up and holding my partner in the air or up against the wall, it's been mind-blowing for both of us," says Jim, an experienced heterosexual male. "I suspect it taps into some of our innate gender differences — the strong man and the small woman — which, in turn, heightens the sexual experience. It also forces us to be in a full embrace, which furthers the emotional connection as well as our physical one. It's physically demanding and not for all couples, but for those that can, it's highly recommended."

6. Uncloaking the clit

Uncloaking the clit sex position illustration

"Given a woman's clitoris is buried under the clitoral hood and cushiony mons pubis surrounding it, it's no wonder this tiny nub rarely receives enough stimulation during intercourse to catch the 'O' train," says Jaiya. "Your hands, though, can help change that. Form a 'V' with your index and middle fingers, and point your fingers toward your feet. Press this 'V' onto the mons pubis, with a finger to each side of the clitoris. Then pull up, moving the skin with your hand. This should unveil the hard-to-reach clit in all its glory, exposing this little love button to a lot more action."

7. Shake 'n' bake

"If you're craving a quick but stimulating break from intercourse, this move is the perfect titillating timeout," says Jaiya. "To do it, the man withdraws and rests the tip of his penis on the clitoris. Then, hold the base of the penis, and shake it quickly from side to side so that the head hits the clitoris with every wiggle. In doing so, you'll be stimulating both heads at once — that of the clitoris and the penis — which should send you both into paroxysms of pleasure."

8. Pushing tush

Pushing tush sex position illustration

"If your guy enjoys having his back door explored, reach around with both hands, and grab both cheeks," says Jaiya. "From there, you can do 'butt yoga' (a technique whereby you spread the cheeks apart, then together, one up one down, then vice versa) or 'anal yoga' (a technique whereby you place your middle fingers to the sides of the anus, then spread them apart, then diagonally, then up and down). If that gets him hankering for more, feel free to delve deeper."

9. Happy scissors

Happy scissors sex position illustration

"Heating up hot spots aren't your hands-only talents," says Jaiya. "They're also great at moving body parts where you want them, and this technique is a prime opportunity. During intercourse, raise your legs, then have your man hold an ankle in each hand. From there, you can spread her legs apart, hold them together, part them at 80 degrees — the options are endless. And since the tendons of the legs pivot deep in the pelvic cavity, moving them around will subtly alter the below-the-belt sensations for you both. Talk about getting a leg up on a little variety!"

Donald Trump & Joe Biden Are Threatening Each Other With 'Physical Attacks'

$

The tension between President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden ramped up to new levels this week, only serving to remind the public that these politicians aren't too fond of one another. Both men have traded verbal jabs in the past, but earlier this week, their sparring also took place on Twitter. Now, we get to watch two grown men devolve, making brusque threats against one another, both in person and on Twitter, and imagine a world where these two would just disagree over their policies instead.

More: The Biden Family Has Had a Rough Few Years, but It's About to Get Worse

Earlier this week, Biden was giving a speech at the University of Miami when he took things to a whole new, below-the-belt level.

"They asked me would I like to debate this gentleman, and I said no," Biden said, continuing to say, "I said, 'If we were in high school, I'd take him behind the gym and beat the hell out of him.'"

That's pretty far over the line, especially for Biden. These two can disagree on political issues all day long, but threatening physical violence? That is just never OK. And while one would hope this would be the end of it, and we'd all recognize that Biden said something cringeworthy, and we'd all move on from it, Trump saw an opportunity to fire back on Twitter.

Donald Trump feuds with Joe Biden on twitter

Donald Trump feuds with Joe Biden on twitter

"Crazy Joe Biden is trying to act like a tough guy," he wrote. "Actually, he is weak, both mentally and physically, and yet he threatens me, for the second time, with physical assault. He doesn’t know me, but he would go down fast and hard, crying all the way. Don’t threaten people Joe!"

More: Basically, Joe Biden Failed Us All, & He Knows It

Since Trump became president, Biden has criticized him many times, even going so far as to say we're "walking down a dark path" under his presidency. But what's really surprising is this isn't even the first time these two have physically threatened one another. CNN reports that Biden made a similar comment at a Hillary Clinton rally before the election, saying, "The press always ask me, 'Don't I wish I were debating him?' No, I wish we were in high school — I could take him behind the gym. That's what I wish."

Trump clapped back after that one too, telling the crowd at Washington's Gridiron Club Dinner, "You know when he said, 'I'm going to take you behind the barn'? Oh, just trust me, I would kick his ass. He'd be easy."

Regardless of how you feel about either man, it's hard to condone this kind of talk or feel empathetic toward the position they have put themselves in with this feud. Threatening violence just isn't OK, but it's especially disheartening coming from two high-profile leaders like Biden and Trump.

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg Rules on Whether a Hot Dog Is a Sandwich

The internet is barely stepping away from this week’s hot debate about whether Uncrustables are ravioli, and none other than Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg decided to weigh in on another controversial topic: whether hot dogs can be considered sandwiches.

Ginsburg invited Stephen Colbert and The Late Show to Washington, D.C., to try her reportedly super-hard workout, but before they started pumping iron, Colbert wanted to settle one of the “most divisive issues facing our country.”

“Is a hot dog a sandwich?” he asked.

The back and forth is worth watching, as Ginsburg puts the responsibility of the question back on Colbert.

“You tell me what a sandwich is, and then I'll tell you if a hot dog is a sandwich,” she retorts.

“A sandwich is two pieces of bread with almost any type of filling in between, as long as it’s not more bread,” Colbert described.

“You say two pieces of bread — does that include a roll that’s cut open but still not completely?” Yeesh, is it getting warm in here? This interrogation is heating up.

“A sub is not split and yet it is a sandwich,” Colbert says.

“Yes,” Ginsburg agrees.

“So then hot dog is a sandwich?” Colbert asks.

Ginsburg: “On your definition, yes it is.”

Boom. Played like only The Notorious RBG could play.

A few other fabulous tidbits from the clip? Justice Ginsburg’s workout music of choice is heart-pumping opera music, and she likes to tell people that she and The Notorious B.I.G. aren’t as different as people might think.

“We have one thing clear in common, and that is that we were both born and bred in Brooklyn, New York,” she said.

23 Games Invented by Jimmy Fallon You Should Definitely Play at Home

Jimmy Fallon has made his mark on late-night TV by making all us viewers at home feel like we're in on the action. It's like he and his guests are bromancing and sitting in our living rooms with us and we're all laughing our butts off together. And some of the most hilarious moments on Fallon's show take place during the crazy games he makes his celebrity guests play — but those games are so outrageous, we shouldn't dare play the same ones at home, right? Wrong!

Fallon's game-time hijinks on The Tonight Show would make for one amazing game night (especially if you get a few cocktails involved). We've gathered up some of best games invented by Fallon that you could totally play at home.

1. This or That

Would You Rather Fallon

Would You Rather Fallon

This game has always been the worst because it normally takes a dark, dirty or gross turn, and still we ask, why aren't we playing it more often? Asking acquaintances, "Would you rather have a clone of yourself or have a pet dog who can talk?" is guaranteed to break the ice at any party.

2. The Whisper Challenge

Jimmy Fallon Alicia Keys Whisper Challenge

Jimmy Fallon Alicia Keys Whisper Challenge

This is the kind of game where you spend the majority of the time trying not to pee your pants laughing because it's just so ridiculous. As Alicia Keys and Fallon demonstrate, the Whisper Challenge involves wearing noise-canceling headphones and attempting to guess random words and phrases. May the best (wo)man win.

3. Best Friends Challenge

Best Friends Challenge Fallon

Best Friends Challenge Fallon

Now, this one is kind of adorable and perfect for a more intimate gathering, aka a girls' night in. How well do you know your bestie? You can each take turns drawing questions from the Best Friends Box to see if you can guess each other's answers. At the very least, you'll get to know each other better — by figuring out her most hated food and her first celebrity crush.

4. Slapjack

The premise here is simple. You square off against a friend (or foe?) in a game of blackjack. The person who loses each hand gets, well, a hand — to the face. And, really, what's more fun than slapping someone with giant prosthetic digits? OK, so you may have to substitute the monster hand with a foam finger from a sporting event or with a pillow.

5. Wheel of Impressions

Jimmy Fallon Wall of Impressions

Jimmy Fallon Wall of Impressions

Disclaimer: There's no way in hell you or any of your loved ones could rival Ariana Grande when it comes to Wheel of Impressions. She's just too good. Did you catch her Céline Dion? Still, it will be pretty hilarious to watch your friends attempt to impersonate people like Samuel L. Jackson talking about, oh, you know, something like Bubble Wrap. To adapt for your home, simply write a bunch of celeb names down and toss them into one basket, and write down a bunch of random topics and toss them in another. Voilà!

6. Random Phrase Carols

Random Phrase Carols Fallon

Random Phrase Carols Fallon

To be honest, this is kind of what it sounds like when I get to the second verse of most Christmas carols (do you know the second verse to "Away in a Manger"?). You'll need someone who isn't playing to be the penner of the random lyrics, and you'll need an instrumental Christmas music CD.

7. Box of Lies

Jimmy Fallon Box of Lies

Jimmy Fallon Box of Lies

Sorry, ladies... this game doesn't come with Channing Tatum, as super as that would be. The gist is this: You stick about nine random things in shoeboxes. You create a makeshift partition between you and your non-Channing-Tatum-like competitor, and then you take turns trying to determine whether you each are telling the truth about what's in your chosen box or whether you're flat-out lying.

Well, we all know how musical chairs works, right? This is essentially the same, only there are no chairs — just beers. A round table would probably work best, particularly because drunk-ish people tend not to do well with sharp edges. Don't say we didn't warn you.

9. Egg Russian Roulette

Jimmy Fallon Russian Egg Roulette

First off, you're going to need to recruit a friend who's good at bad accents to be your Higgins. Said friend will announce, in what sounds much like the voice of a leprechaun, that the game involves a dozen eggs — eight of which have been hard-boiled and four of which are raw. Dig some embarrassing headwear out of the closet, then take turns smashing eggs against your foreheads. The first person to get yolk on their face twice loses.

10. Antler Ring Toss

Oh, hey, you're having a holiday party? How much more festive could you possibly get than a rousing game of Antler Ring Toss? Because it's altogether likely that you don't have a camouflage helmet with massive antlers affixed to the top, you'll probably simply need to hold some sticks on top of your head and have a friend throw Frisbee discs at them. Of course, if you're an avid hunter and happen to have a few racks lying around, by all means, antler it up.

11. Water War

To play Water War, you only need four things: a deck of cards, 10 glasses of water, a Super Soaker water gun — and a sense of humor.

12. Giant Beer Pong

Why play regular beer pong when you can play Giant Beer Pong?! You should probably start stocking up on volleyballs now because, as Nina Dobrev points out, that's what you'll need for your giant ping-pong balls. You're also going to want to fill a bunch of round trash cans with water to toss your balls into. If you want to get really authentic, break out the red paint and give them a Solo cup makeover.

13. Word Sneak

This game is already hilarious, but it would be a total riot if you played it after a round of Giant Beer Pong. Simply have someone who isn't playing jot a bunch of random words down on slips of paper. Divide into two stacks, disperse and laugh your ass off as your bestie tries to fit words like "titmouse" and "Stonehenge" into casual conversation.

This Political Candidate Breastfeeds in Her Campaign Video, & We Are Here for It

Welcome to 2018, when it's somehow still more believable for people to eat Tide pods in public than it is for a woman to breastfeed on camera. Thankfully, one woman running for governor in Maryland is on a mission to bring the narrative about breastfeeding into the 21st century.

Krish Vignarajah, who's also the only woman to throw her proverbial hat into the state's gubernatorial race, has a message for people in her new ad video: Get used to women and, more specifically, mothers in power, because the time for change is now.

More: 28 Must-Haves Every New Breastfeeding Mama Needs

"There are no women in statewide or federal office in Maryland. None," Vignarajah says in the video as images of her breastfeeding her daughter flash on the screen. "This isn't just about representation; it's about policy. States with women in government have better schools, better health care, lower incarceration rates. I want all of that for Maryland."

Krisha V campaign video

Krisha V campaign video

Um, yes, please! What makes Vignarajah's pitch even more compelling is that she has the résumé to back it up. According to The Cut, Vignarajah got her law degree at Yale before serving as Michelle Obama's policy director; and, yes, working for the former first lady comes with its educational perks.

"What I learned from her is that she owned it, right?" Vignarajah told The Cut about her experience with Obama. "She very explicitly declared that she viewed herself first and foremost as Mom in Chief and that her priorities were taking care of her children while also raising them in the public eye, while also taking on some of the most challenging, most important issues that our nation faces."

It's that same transparency and commitment to excellence that Vignarajah hopes to bring to the Old Line State. She's not just in this for the notoriety; she wants to create a future in which her daughter — and daughters everywhere — can thrive.

As The Cut notes, Vignarajah isn't the only woman to breastfeed on camera this election season. Earlier this month, Wisconsin gubernatorial candidate Kelda Roys also breastfed her child in a campaign ad while calling for a ban on BPA chemicals in baby bottles.

Unfortunately, not everyone is as impressed with these women's commitment to normalizing one of the most natural things a parent can do. People left comments like, "I'm just sad they didn't show the tiddy [sic]" and "sorry but theres [sic] a time and a place for things, you can make campaign video when your [sic] not breastfeeding all for attention, gross" under both videos.

It's true — John Legend's real name is John Roger Stephens. That's why Luna (and the coming baby boy) have the last name "Stephens," something the internet was very confused about when it first found out. We can sort of see why he went with "Legend." It's a little more unique and memorable.

While Teigen's response was witty and hilarious, others who responded to the original tweet were quick to point out that there are a ton of reasons why a woman might not take her husband's last name. It's long been tradition in many Western cultures for women to take their husband's last name after marriage; that started in ninth-century England when laws were written concerning families and parenthood and there needed to be a way to identify all the members of a single legal family. But in modern times, it's not seen as necessary anymore. It's 2018, after all, and women can make whatever choices are right for them and their lives. We're sure Teigen agrees.

In the video, which Pink uploaded to her Instagram account, 6-year-old Willow sits comfortably in front of a mirror as she coolly pulls out and applies pops of color to her dollish face. It's clear she's done this before. First, she goes for a bold lip, a solid choice for any day-to-night transition. She then applies the same color to her cheeks in perfectly round circles. We hate to pit women against each other, but if there were a competition between who wore it better, Willow or Raggedy Ann, Willow would win all the way.

From there, Willow adds bright blue to her forehead and under her eyes, a bit of mascara to her eyelashes and loads of the sparkly stuff. In between applications, she even pauses to show the camera which brands she's about to use. Someone get this kid her own production team and YouTube channel, stat!

Fans loved it too.

"Oh, Pink she is too precious!" one commenter wrote. "What bold, courageous style she is showing already."

Another fan added, "So much color and shine, looove Willz, get it!"

The people have spoken, and they're not wrong!

While this video was Willow's first official makeup tutorial, it was far from her first time experimenting with her beauty regimen. Over the past few weeks, Pink and her husband, Carey Hart, have both posted photos of Willow confidently serving up lewks in St. Louis and Chicago.

Willow's drive to express herself undoubtedly comes from her pop star mother, who told Cosmopolitan in December she encourages her kids to be themselves, even if that means they don't fit into the "norm." "Another very important thing I tell my daughter is it's very fun to be weird, and it's very boring to be normal," she told the magazine in a video.

"I want her to speak her truth, and I want her to practice it now with me so that she can be good at it later," she added later. "I think one of the most helpful things to remember in life is to be true to herself."

We couldn't agree more.

Updated March 22, 2018, 10:15 a.m. PT: Céline Dion is putting her health first. She's already been forced to cancel a handful of her Las Vegas performances on a doctor's orders, and now, she just announced that she's canceling more to give herself time to undergo surgery.

Celine Dion announces show cancellations for surgery

In a lengthy Facebook post, Dion revealed the medical issue that's been causing her so much trouble: patulous eustachian tube, an inner ear condition that affects her balance and her hearing, making it difficult to sing. She explained that she's tried less invasive treatments over the course of more than a year, but nothing has worked so far. The surgery she's getting is described in the post as "minimally invasive," but Dion will still cancel shows from March 27 through April 18.

"My luck hasn’t been very good lately," Dion wrote. "I’ve been so looking forward to doing my shows again and this happens…. I just can’t believe it! I apologize to everyone who planned to travel to Las Vegas to see my show. I know how disappointing this is, and I’m so sorry."

We appreciate Dion's apology, but her health has to come first. Get well soon, Céline!

Original story, published Jan. 26, 2018: If there is one universal truth that we can all acknowledge, it's that Adele knows how to put you in a good mood. Like, she knows how to make us feel something deep when it comes to sad songs, but then she has these hilarious or uplifting moments that make you think, "Gosh, this woman is just a gift to the world that we don't deserve."

Well, it turns out that Adele remains the gift that keeps on giving. Recently, she managed to cheer up Canadian powerhouse Céline Dion after seeing her perform in Las Vegas. The timing was perfect because Dion had just gotten word that some health concerns were going to affect future performance dates during her Vegas residency. On doctor's orders, according to E! News, Dion had already been forced to cancel shows on Jan. 6, 9, 13, 16, 17, 19 and 20; she's expected to miss performances through all of February and most of March. It was a serious bite out of Dion's very busy schedule.

But thankfully, she didn't have to sit with that news for the rest of January, because one of her recent concert guests — the aforementioned delight, Adele — managed to cheer her up considerably when the two met after Dion's Jan. 12 show.

Dion posted a photo of the pair looking very smiley on her Instagram, where she wrote a super sweet caption about what it was like to be visited by this ray of sunshine in human form (wearing a Titanic sweatshirt, no less, because a true fan of Dion's knows what to wear to see her live!).

"I had a pretty rough time during the last couple of weeks...a lot of people have been hit with cold and flu bugs... but I'm doing much better now. Wasn't able to do all my shows, but was thrilled that Adele came to one of them...I love her so much!!" Dion gushed. And honestly, who wouldn't be thrilled by a visit from Adele?

Kids are spending more time than ever on mobile devices. It's unsurprising, but it's still alarming, especially when you consider the eye-opening stats: Children 8 years and younger are reportedly spending an average of two hours and 19 minutes per day glued to their screens with roughly 30 percent of that time spent on mobile devices (tablets and smartphones). To boot, 42 percent of kids have their own tablet. That said, now more than ever, we need to get our kids outdoors and moving around.

We get it; the thought of prying the devices from your kids' grips might seem a difficult task, but approach them with any of these fun outdoor games and join them!

We promise, they'll have such a blast, they won't even miss the iPhone.

1. Giant Slip 'N Slide

Make your own Slip 'N Slide by laying out a tarp, spraying it down with water, then letting the hose continue to run on top of the slide. Take turns running across your lawn, then sliding across the tarp for a slippery, exciting game.

2. Flashlight tag

Best played after the sun goes down, flashlight tag is the perfect outdoor game for late-night birthday or block parties. One player is designated "it" and is given a flashlight. The other players hide. When the person who is "it" finds a hidden player, they shine the light on the hider and the hider then becomes it. The original "it" then hides, and the game continues.

3. Jump rope challenge

Give each player a plastic cup filled with water. Start spinning a large jump rope. One at a time, each child must attempt to enter the rope and jump three times, all while spilling as little water as possible. The child with the most water left in his or her cup wins the game.

4. Hole in the bucket

Fill up a large trash can with water and place two empty trash cans about 40 feet away. Split kids into two teams and give each team an empty milk carton with 10 to 12 holes in the bottom. When you say "go," the first player from each team fills their carton with water, then places it on their head while they walk or run to their team's empty trash can. They empty the remaining water into the trash can, then run back, passing the carton to the next player. The first team to fill its trash can with water wins the game.

5. Sticks & stones

If you have a sizable group of kids, playing sticks and stones will make them laugh while also tiring them out. Split the kids into two teams — the sticks and the stones. Line them up facing one another. Designate an area roughly 30 feet behind each team as that teams' safe zone. To start the game, yell out, "Sticks!" or "Stones!" The team you call on must begin chasing the opposing team, which begins racing toward its safe zone. Any tagged players must switch teams, and the two new teams line up to play again. The team to bring all the players to its side wins the game.

6. Shoebox relays

Split the kids into two teams. Each team gets two shoeboxes. Tape the lids onto the shoe boxes and cut an "I" shape into the top of the box, with a 4-inch slit and two 1-inch slits. Have the first player from each team slip her feet into the shoeboxes. When you say, "Go!" the players wearing the shoeboxes have to run from the starting line to a designated spot, then back again. Players pass the shoeboxes to their waiting teammates, and the relay continues until all the players have participated and a winning team is crowned.

7. Blind man's walk

Set up a simple obstacle course in your yard and let all the kids examine the course. One at a time, blindfold the kids and let them work their way through the obstacle course. The child to make it through the fastest wins the game.

8. 500

If your kids love sports and want to play catch with a twist, introduce them to the game of 500. Give one child a football and have him stand about 20 feet in front of the remaining children. The child with the ball throws it up into the air toward the waiting players while calling out a number between 50 and 500. The player to catch the ball earns the number of points called, but if they drop the ball, they lose those points. The first player to accumulate 500 points becomes the next thrower.
