Within hours of the news that Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez had broken up, the rumors started. Bieber went on a talk show Saturday to clear things up — sort of.
"I don't know what to say," the singer told Open House Party radio host John Garabedian in an interview Saturday, according to Us Weekly. "I don't know what's going on in my life... To even assess that, it doesn't make sense, 'cause I have not made any comment."
Bieber did take to Twitter over the weekend. He sent out some tweets Saturday and Sunday, giving a little insight into his state of mind.
"thank u Boston," he tweeted after his concert. "focused on the positive. #30MillionBeliebers with me. Im never leaving u because u r always there 4 me. love u. Night."
Sunday, his post was slightly more insightful than the first one, reminding everyone of what his fans mean to him.
"regardless of what happens i see all of the tweets and all the love you guys are sending me. thank u. love u too," he said.
Meanwhile, TMZ is reporting that it was Gomez who did the breaking up and that Bieber is already confident they will get back together.
"Justin would like to get back with Selena and thinks it can happen," said the gossip website. "We're told the way Justin sees it... they've broken up a bunch of times before, and this is just another blip. We're told he's not freaked out... he thinks there's a good chance they'll make up."
TMZ also mentions that, despite rumors, the Biebs is single. There is a photo floating around of him and Victoria's Secret model Barbara Pavlin , but TMZ assures his fans they are not dating.
Gomez has been staying pretty quiet on the subject. She tweeted Sunday about attending an event at a Kmart in White Plains, New York — but otherwise, she hasn't said much about the breakup. Production on her TV series Wizards of Waverly Place wrapped early in November, and she has been in New York since then.
