Thursday night, the world found yet another thing that Miley Cyrus is good at — boosting ratings. The actress/singer appeared on this week's Two and a Half Men, and 13.6 million people tuned in, up 14 percent from last week. The episode showed us that Cyrus is all grown up. It appeared at first as if she was the love interest of Walden, Ashton Kutcher's character, but she ended up kissing Angus T. Jones' character, Jake.
"Cyrus plays Missi , the daughter of one of Walden's old friends," said Entertainment Weekly. "Walden takes her in for a few days when she comes to town to consider moving to Los Angeles, and finds himself both annoyed by and attracted to the loquacious, buxom teen. He thinks the feeling of attraction is mutual until Missi confesses her plans to set him up with her mother."
In fact, Cyrus' character ends up kissing the younger character Jake, rather than Walden. Or rather, he kisses her. Missi and Jake end up on the beach, and she won't stop talking, so he decides to quiet her with a kiss, said EW. But the engaged actress said it's not always easy kissing others on screen.
"The prop guys would always [ask], 'Do you have your [engagement] ring on?' and I'd be like, 'I have to take my ring off to make out with Angus? This is creepy!'" according to Entertainment Weekly.
But her fiance, Liam Hemsworth, doesn't mind. As actors, he said he knows this is part of their careers.
"At this point, we're engaged, like we're forever. I think if I was a girlfriend... I would feel like I need to show my ownership," Cyrus said, adding that in the past she had "turned down scripts because... I don't think any career is worth stressing out the person that you love the most or making them feel hurt."
Cyrus' appearance on the show helped CBS win the ratings war on Thursday night, and she is set to appear on one more episode of Two and a Half Men.
