ACM Awards: Match the cowboy to the hat

This country legend is a straight shooter, and will perform at this year’s ACM Awards. He's referred to as the “King of Country,” but prefers a cowboy hat to a crown.

This handsome staple of country music has friends in low places. Is that why he rejected the 1996 American Music Award for Entertainer of the Year, saying, “For all the people who should be awarded, I’m going to leave it right here,” and then walked away leaving the award on the podium?

Women go crazy for what this country star has under his hat. One lady in particular, Renée Zellweger, fell for this performer and his rippling biceps so much, she hastily married him on a beach. Alas, they annulled their vows soon after. Renée cited “fraud” as the reason, leading to wild speculation that this cowboy might prefer the company of other cowboys.

This lone ranger is known for having a sense of humor and not taking himself too seriously . He wants to pick ticks off you, but maybe wears a hat to keep from getting ticks on himself.

This relative newcomer to country music thought he’d live out country music lyrics by lip-locking with a sweet young thing who was not his wife. His high-school sweetheart wife has forgiven his indiscretion and they’ve moved on to greener pastures.
