Bon Jovi fans were shocked last week when the teenage daughter of front man Jon Bon Jovi overdosed on heroin. Now, the "Livin' on a Prayer" singer is speaking out about his daughter's overdose and recovery.
"This tragedy was something that I had to face too, so we'll get through it," he told Fox 11, according to the New York Daily News. "And people's incredible warm wishes for my family and I have been really reassuring. So, we're good. We're good."

Stephanie Bongiovi, 19, was rushed to the hospital — and later arrested — on Nov. 14 after she was found unresponsive in her Hamilton College dorm room. Police later found heroin, marijuana and other drug paraphernalia in her room at the upstate New York school.
Bongiovi was later charged with misdemeanor possession of the heroin, misdemeanor marijuana possession, criminally using drug paraphernalia and a marijuana violation, according to police.

The charges were later dropped, though, citing a New York state so-called Good Samaritan law that prevents fragile people from arrest.
"People will say she got away with murder because of who she is, but this law was passed so people don't watch somebody die because they're afraid of jail," Oneida County District Attorney Scott McNamara told the Daily News.
"And you don't want the person overdosing to say, 'No, don't call.'"

As for how Bon Jovi is doing after the incident? He's still working on the advisory board for the Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund with fellow Jersey boy Bruce Springsteen. However, he added that his priorities are in the right place.
"What I do for a living seems glitzy and glamorous but if you don't take it too seriously it's a great way to make a living," he added to Fox 11. "And then life goes on. Things happen."
