Eva Amurri's husband dodged a huge nanny scandal with one clever move

$

Kyle Martino, Amurri’s husband, surprised her with the news that he had to abruptly fire their nanny because she had been acting very inappropriate with him. It all started when the nanny sent Martino a very NSFW text by “accident.” Apparently she meant to send it to her friend, but Martino got it by accident and read that the nanny wanted to “f*** his brains out.”

More: 12 celebrity marriages allegedly ruined by nanny affairs

Definitely not the kind of nanny you want in your house or watching your child.

Amurri also said that Martino caught the nanny watching him from the couple’s bedroom window while he was walking to his car in the driveway. That’s definitely inappropriate and also borders on totally creepy. Martino tried to shake it off and went to work, hoping to wait until Amurri was back in town to discuss what the next step should be. However, while sitting in a meeting at work, he decided he needed to face the problem immediately.

More: Ben Affleck's ex-nanny allegedly causing trouble in Tom Brady's marriage

“AND THIS IS WHY MY HUSBAND IS A LEGEND,” she wrote. "He also realized in that moment that he was going to record his entire confrontation with her. Because... who knows what she would try to make up or twist after the fact.”

After she listened to the recording, Amurri reflected on the emotions it brought up in her, “I felt anger, I felt pride in my husband for being so loyal (and smart) and handling it well, and I felt a huge betrayal also. How dare this person, who we were paying very generously to care for our young daughter — how dare she use her time with my child, in my HOME, to plot out a way to screw my husband and screw up my family!”

More: Gavin Rossdale affair rumors are taking their toll on family's nanny

It’s impossible not to agree with her. It’s an amazing example of true family loyalty and commitment from Martino. And while Amurri does admit that not having childcare does add stress to their relationship and family, this whole debacle has actually brought them all closer together, which is the best you can hope for in a situation like this.

Recovery Road: 4 clues we missed concerning the truth about Trish's daughter

More: Recovery Road: 7 reasons to love Mischa Barton's awful character Olivia

At the beginning of the episode, a sobbing Trish returns to the sober house, claiming that her mother had taken Nevaeh. A kidnapping is pretty shocking on its own, but that's hardly the bombshell of this episode. At the end of the episode it is revealed that not only did Trish's mother not kidnap Nevaeh, Trish's mother never had Nevaeh at all — because Trish's daughter doesn't actually exist.

If the ending completely blew you away, well, that was the point. Trish's delusion, which the show hints was likely a result of her meth use, fooled everyone in the sober house for months. That's not to say that the show didn't drop some major clues about the reality of Trish's situation — here are just a few things from the episode that hinted Nevaeh was a delusion all along.

1. Trish's drug delusion

Early in the episode, we saw Trish clawing at the walls in an apartment, truly believing that her boyfriend hid meth from her in the walls. She even pulled out the insulation as evidence, thinking it was meth. At the time, viewers assumed we were getting a flashback that showed why Nevaeh was taken in the first place, but in reality, it showed that Trish had a history of delusions.

More: Recovery Road's shocking nightmare sequence proves Freeform isn't for kids (PHOTOS)

2. The principal meeting

The flashback in which Trish and her mother meet with the principal is surprisingly telling. In the scene, the principal insists that Trish's mother has her tested by a psychiatrist and put on medication. Though we do not know the real reason why the principal insisted on this, it's possible that Trish was suffering from delusions or hallucinations long before she took drugs and that the meth added to the issue.

3. The photo

This is how Maddie figured out that Trish was delusional, but savvy audience members may have caught on well before the Disneyland clue was revealed. Not only did the photo show a much older version of the submarine ride, but the girl in it looked a lot like the actress who played Trish in the flashback.

More: Shadowhunters spoilers: 8 things to know about ABC Family's new show (VIDEO)

4. Trish's reaction to the Xanax

It was so not cool of Maddie to give Trish any kind of drug, even if it was just a placebo that wouldn't have any real effect on her. Still, Trish's reaction to the fake Xanax said a lot about her mental state — she was very open to the power of suggestion and likely convinced herself that her daughter was alive.

What do you think really happened to Trish's daughter? Did she ever exist? Sound off in the comments below!

Theories about The Bachelor finale: Who does Ben call?

$

More: The Bachelor's Emily Maynard throws shade at the franchise

It's down to JoJo Fletcher or Lauren Bushnell, and Higgins is clearly torn. All the sneak peeks we've seen of the final episode include Higgins crying. A lot. And making a seemingly very important phone call. So who the heck is he calling?! Here are my theories.

1. He calls the woman he's letting go

Maybe, in keeping with his honorable reputation this season, he doesn't want the woman he's breaking up with to have to pour her heart out right before he breaks it. Maybe he calls the lady he's letting go to give her a heads up before she's on camera. That way they can talk it out without blindsiding her.

This one, admittedly, is a little farfetched. Higgins has this awesome thing about looking the girls in the eyes and being honest when he ends his relationships. But, hey, it could happen.

2. He calls a woman to come back

I'm pretty convinced that somewhere along the end of this season, Higgins is going to pull a Mesnick. That is, he's going to do what Jason Mesnick did and realize he picked the wrong girl. Of course, Mesnick didn't make this decision until the After the Final Rose episode, but I think Higgins might realize it as soon as he lets the girl go and then call her to make it right.

More: Ben Higgins' ex has some bad news for The Bachelor contestants

3. He lets them both go and calls Caila

It is possible that he realizes that he made a mistake with Caila Quinn.

"I hope I didn't make the wrong decision," Higgins said at one point after sending her home.

Granted, this is a line we hear a lot in The Bachelor, especially when it gets down to the final three.

4. He calls his mom

Rumor has it, Higgins' mom plays a crucial role in his final decision. Apparently, Higgins was so torn about who he wanted to spend the rest of his life with that his mom ended up picking her favorite and Higgins went with it. There's a good chance this will all go down for our viewing pleasure in the finale. Perhaps he second-guesses himself and calls his mom for some good old-fashioned support.

5. He calls Chris Harrison

I mean, he could, but Chris Harrison is the one escorting the girls out of the helicopters/cars so I don't know why Higgins wouldn't just run over to him if he had a question. But maybe he was too ashamed of the tears and felt that getting the host's advice would be better not in person.

More: The Bachelor's Nick Viall finds love with Ben Higgins' runner-up

6. He calls to ask both of the ladies to extend the time

Again, as I said in No. 1, I'm not sure how well this point would work via the phone since it seems like a personal question, but it could be that Higgins decides he's genuinely not ready to pick a wife. Rather, he may ask Bushnell and Fletcher if they're cool with some polygamous dating for a while. Now that would definitely break Bachelor protocols.

Who do you think Higgins will call in the season finale?

Kim Richards reportedly makes some big RHOBH demands

More: 11 things Brandi Glanville has done since leaving Real Housewives

Kim Richards is, in the words of Sheryl Sandberg, leaning in. While Richards hasn't yet appeared on the current season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, she will be back soon, along with friend and former cast member Brandi Glanville. In addition to showing back up behind the cameras for RHOBH, Richards is reportedly negotiating hard in regard to her salary to return for the reunion.

More: Camille's dinner party from hell cocktail recipe

It hasn't been the best year for Richards (that might be the understatement of the century). She's been in and out of jail and rehab, is mourning the death of her ex-husband and best friend Monty Brinson and continues to quarrel with her sister Kyle Richards. In spite of all that, though, Richards is continuing her own hustle. She's been on television her entire life, so it wasn't likely that she'd totally step back, even in the face of her health and legal troubles. But now she's definitely got bills to pay as well, especially since her family has been helping her out financially. In addition to working with RHOBH, Richards, along with her daughter Kimberly Jackson, will also be appearing on Lifetime's The Mother/Daughter Experiment: Celebrity Edition.

The issue of Richards' sobriety has hardly vanished from the public eye, and it will most likely play a part in her appearance on RHOBH, where fans can probably count on an encounter with Lisa Rinna on the subject, as well as Kyle (if they're talking right now). It isn't just the fighting with other cast members that brings fans flocking to Richards, though — it's also her quirks. Remember the time she had a psychic come over to her house to suss out if there were spirits hanging out? And the time she did a lap as a race car driver? And her super intense relationship with her dog? In other words, she's still reality TV gold, and, judging by the degree to which she's negotiating her Bravo salary, she knows it.

More: Jennifer Lopez films makeupless video with a shirtless Casper Smart (VIDEO)

Affleck's ex, Jennifer Lopez, appeared on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live, where she was asked to play a game of Plead the Fifth, allowing her to cop out of answering one of three questions. After refusing the first question, Lopez was forced to give her honest opinion about Affleck's colorful new back tattoo of a huge phoenix.

Ben Affleck's phoenix tattoo

Luckily, Lopez seems pretty open to sharing her true thoughts about Affleck's new ink.

"It's awful!" she exclaims. "I want to tell him that. I want to tell him, 'What are you doing?'"

She continues, "It has too many colors. His tattoos always have too many colors. They shouldn't be so colorful, you know what I mean? They should be cooler."

And Lopez isn't even the only one throwing shade at Affleck's new tattoo. In an interview with Vanity Fair, Affleck's estranged wife Jennifer Garner also dissed his back piece, saying, "You know what we would say in my hometown about that? 'Bless his heart.' A phoenix rising from the ashes. Am I the ashes in this scenario?”

Garner continued, "I take umbrage. I refuse to be the ashes."

Since their breakup in 2004, Lopez has spoken publicly about her relationship with Affleck a number of times. In 2014, she dished on the style advice she used to give him — and apparently wishes she could still give him now — on another episode of Watch What Happens Live.

"I did kind of like, say, 'You're a movie star! You should wear a suit! You should do this with your hair!'" she remembered. "For sure. I mean, I do that. By the way, guys do that to girls, too: 'I like that dress better than the other dress.'"

Kenya Moore keeps pregnancy rumors alive with suspicious Instagram video

Could Kenya Moore have a baby on the way? She has remained tight-lipped about the swirling rumors thus far, but as always, she has a penchant for stirring the pot. Thus, instead of answering the baby questions outright, she's fanning the fire with clever social media posts. Her latest Instagram update is especially suspicious, as it features endless complaints about her inability to zip up her pants.

More: Kenya Moore might be planning a big baby surprise for RHOA

According to Moore, ill-fitting pants are the ultimate catastrophe. At the time of the Instagram post, she was on her way to an Oscars event, so of course, she wanted to look her best in a pair of figure-flattering pants. Later, she shared an update featuring a picture of the allegedly problematic outfit. In the caption, she referred to the getup as "the pants that gave [her] hell zipping." There was no baby bump in sight in the snapshot, but if she's in the early stages of her pregnancy, that's not particularly surprising. Either way, she looked gorgeous as usual in her sleek white outfit.

More: Kenya Moore's homophobic behavior crosses the line

The Instagram video and follow-up photo of Moore's pants would have been little cause for alarm on their own, but they seemed mighty suspicious in light of a previous social media update in which Moore claimed to have a big secret. It's possible that the secret has more to do with her career than her family life, but fans are far more inclined to believe that she's waiting until the perfect moment to tell the world that she has a baby on the way.

Moore's by no means the only person making fans suspicious. Phaedra Parks has also done her part to fuel the rumors; during a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live, she admitted that she recently heard "from a somewhat reliable source" that Moore is pregnant.

More: RHOA's Kenya Moore criticized for her approach to relationship problems

There would be no better time for Moore to share the big news than during the The Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion. If there's any way to get back in the RHOA cast's good graces after a particularly dramatic season, it's with a pregnancy announcement. Until then, Moore's Instagram followers are bound to speculate about every single photo she posts.

RHOBH's Yolanda Foster's involved in yet another friendship feud

More: Lisa Rinna dishes on Twitter feud with fellow RHOBH star Brandi Glanville

It all started when the women were at their favorite local lunch spot, Frida, and Foster accused Richards and Lisa Vanderpump of whispering secrets (they were chatting about the comments she had previously made regarding Lisa Rinna being bipolar). Foster called out the women for their behavior, creating yet another feud — something Richards has since taken to her Bravo blog to discuss.

In a lengthy blog post, Richards discussed the altercation, and her comments prove just how unhappy she is with Foster as she called her out for being both "condescending and self-righteous.

"I was surprised but happy that Yolanda showed up for lunch," Richards wrote. "We hadn't heard from her since we were all at Erika's when she and Rinna had gotten into their argument."

She continued, "Lisa [Vanderpump] and I both were a little perplexed by their abrupt 'hug it out' and wondered what was going on with the situation. While this conversation that started between Lisa and me was more of a side conversation (going on while three other conversations were happening), we of course know that nothing we say in this arena is 'private' or a 'secret.' We will all see this eventually. However, part of being in this group also means we have to address issues that are currently going on in our group. There are often times we are as confused as the viewer and hope for some clarity."

More: Kim Richards shares fears about how RHOBH has affected her daughter

Richards continued, defending her actions and calling out Foster for reprimanding her when she clearly does not see how she could be at fault.

"Yolanda also obviously knows that everything we discuss here is not private, but a window into the current happenings. To be chastised for this when she knows all too well that I am not whispering 'secrets' didn't sit well with most of us that day," Richards wrote, adding, "She was condescending and self-righteous. She knows what being part of this group means. Since when is a documented argument in this group off limits?"

Richards also went one step further, accusing Foster of having an issue with the friendship she shares with Vanderpump.

"It feels like whenever Lisa and I are on a good path, happy and enjoying each other's company, someone has to make a snide remark," she confessed. "We are the closest of the group, nobody can deny that. We have had our issues but we also laugh together and care about each other."

More: Yolanda Foster reveals details about being single & being allies with troubled Housewives

During the heated argument, Foster also made the comment, "I hold a lot in the vault, honey," a comment that Richards immediately interpreted as being an absolute threat.

"No matter how she may try to spin it. Nobody says that in that tone for any other reason," Richards wrote. "What started out as a nice, positive day with the fundraiser didn’t end well, unfortunately."

Was Foster right to call out Richards and Vanderpump, or should she have stayed out of their conversation? Do you think Foster threatened Richards? Share your thoughts with us in the comments below.

A guide for Americans who want to move to Canada if Trump wins

More: 11 things feminists should brace themselves for if Trump wins

According to digital analytics firm Luminoso, 4 per cent of the 4.5 million Donald Trump-related tweets that it combed through (between Aug. 7 and Sept. 9) mentioned threats to leave the U.S. if Trump won the election. While the majority of tweeters (75,000) wanted to move to sunny Mexico, Canada was the runner-up, with 25,000 people claiming they were going to relocate to their neighbour to the north.

If Trump Wins

If Trump Wins

Moving to Canada

Moving to Canada

Where should I move in Canada

Where should I move in Canada

Most of these tweets are, of course, nothing but talk. Canada gets only about 9,000 immigrants from the U.S. each year (according to data from the government of Canada for the years 2005 to 2014) despite the fact that thousands more threaten to move during each election cycle. Still, that hasn't stopped some from dreaming. A Cape Breton campaign, Cape Breton If Trump Wins, has been getting lots of attention lately with the hope of luring Americans to the Atlantic Canadian island: "We always rank high on travel magazine lists of beautiful islands," reads the campaign's website. "But we are experiencing a bit of a population problem at the moment. We need people. We need you!"

But how practical is making the move to Canada for U.S. citizens? Here's what Americans need to consider:

1) Get a passport

Interested in making the move to Canada? First things first: Get a passport. If you pay US$60 extra for expedited service, this can take as little as eight business days at an agency, but otherwise you're looking at a wait of about six weeks and a price tag of around US$110. Only 38 per cent of Americans have passports, according to data from the U.S. State Department — a lower number than you'd expect in a country full of people threatening to move away if Trump wins (by contrast, over 60 per cent of Canadians have passports). Once you have your passport (or NEXUS card), you can stay in Canada for 180 days without a visa.

2) Apply for a permanent resident card

You can keep your U.S. citizenship and apply for a permanent resident card. (Depending on the type of visa you apply for, your fees can be up to CA$1,050 — check out the list of application fees here.) This card gives you permission to live in Canada and get many of the benefits of citizenship that Canadians get, such as free health care, protection under Canadian law and the right to work, study and live anywhere you want in Canada. Some rights, like voting in elections, are still off limits, as you're not a citizen, though you can apply to be one once you have the permanent resident card. The only catch? You have to commit to living for two years of a five-year period in Canada, or you may lose your card. Also, it takes over a month to get your application processed (approximately 38 days). Check to see if you're eligible to apply for a permanent resident card using the Government of Canada's online tool.

More: Donald Trump doesn't want a border wall with Canada

3) Carefully organize your move

Whatever you do, don't just show up with a U-Haul full of stuff at the border without taking the time to get the required documents in order, because you'll likely find yourself driving straight back home. Get your residency documents and work visa (if applicable) in order before shipping all your stuff to Canada. Be sure to write detailed lists of everything you pack, because you'll need two copies of an inventory list of items you're shipping and the value of each, as well as two copies of a list describing any items you plan to ship or mail yourself later. You can make the moving process easier by teaming up with an international moving company like Mayflower, which lists plenty of useful tips for Americans moving to Canada.

4) Pay your taxes — in both countries

The United States makes relocating particularly tough for Americans who want to keep their U.S. citizenship, as it's the only country in the West that continues to tax you after you've moved to another country. Americans are still required to file tax returns with the IRS each year even if they're not living in the United States. But fortunately there are some ways around double taxation. If you live the majority of the time in the U.S., you may qualify for the Foreign Earned Income Exclusion, which can exclude up to US$100,800 of your earnings from U.S. taxes.

5) Build your Canadian credit

If you're not careful, you may wind up in Canada with zero credit, regardless of what your credit was back in the U.S. Some international banks, like HSBC, do allow clients to transfer their credit histories over to a new Canadian branch. This will make it much easier to do things, such as buy a home, get a Canadian line of credit and apply for loans in Canada. If you're unable to transfer your credit history and find yourself starting at nothing, you can build your credit slowly by getting a prepaid credit card or getting a card from a store, like a gas station or grocery chain. It's not ideal, but it works.

Moving to Canada may be trickier than you imagined at first, but it's not impossible! Try visiting first to see if you like us — we're pretty sure you'll find yourself just as hooked on our poutines, kitchen parties, clean air, free health care and pedestrian-friendly streets as we are.

RHONY's Heather Thomson embroiled in huge legal battle over her company

$

Thomson, who recently quit The Real Housewives of New York to focus on running her company Yummie by Heather Thomson, filed suit against the company's manager for refusing to step down per the terms of his contract.

According to the suit, Eric Rothfeld owns a 49 percent stake per the terms of a $1 million loan his firm REI Capital made to Thomson — a loan her legal team says has since been repaid. Per the terms of the financial deal, Rothfeld was supposed to step down when repayment was completed, and he is now refusing to do so.

According to Women's Wear Daily (via Jezebel), Rothfeld's behavior has escalated into making Thomson's professional life a living hell, including "Rothfeld being unqualified to be manager, his fraudulently marking down inventory, blocking factory orders and failing to submit financial statements to Wells Fargo."

More: RHONY Season 8 trailer reveals drunken fights and one new cast member

It's no secret that Rothfeld hated Thomson's affiliation with RHONY. Back in October, Entertainment Tonight reported that he sent out a blistering email to employees demanding that no one cooperate with Thomson or her reality TV cameras.

"Effective immediately, under no circumstances are you to spend any time discussing or working with Heather on Rhony," [sic] Rothfeld wrote. "No samples should be provided to Heather for Rhony and Rhony is not authorized to film in our offices. Also, there is to be no Company money to be spent for Rhony." [sic]

And according to new reports, Thomson claims Rothfeld created a toxic work environment and "has made decisions which are harmful to the company based upon his personal animus toward Thomson and her husband."

Thomson announced she was leaving RHONY last summer and cited her responsibilities with Yummie as a deciding factor. Sources say she has not been paid by Yummie for 18 months, and is now considering a return to the show for a cash infusion.

"We are confident that ultimately, we are going to prevail in court, if there is not a settlement," Thomson's attorney told WWD. "But we are concerned that by the time the court rules, the company could be irreparably damaged by Rothfeld's management."

"Confusing for sure," Kris said about her own feelings about Caitlyn's desire to date. "But, you know, I think that I really want her to be happy and be really comfortable in all the things where she says she wasn’t her true, authentic self for most of her life, and knew when she was 4 that she felt like that. So you don’t want somebody to be miserable or in pain or anything like that. I think for me, just getting used to that. You know, I am human and I have my feelings and I try and it's baby steps. And it's the mourning of somebody that you feel you are never going to be with or see again."

To keep things super flavorful but also healthy, I cooked chicken breast and fresh vegetables in coconut oil and then simmered it all in a simple teriyaki-style sauce blended with fresh mangoes and pineapple.

This ridiculously easy dinner comes together effortlessly, and it's something even your kids will love. While this version does have chicken, if you want to keep things vegetarian, just skip the chicken and enjoy as is, or add in some diced tofu.

"Oh hello El Pais! I am genuinely honored to be on your cover and so happy you licensed a pic by @ruvenafanador, who always makes me feel gorgeous," Dunham wrote. In a Spanish-language statement on their website, El Pais denied altering the image and stated that they licensed it from Corbis as-is. The only change they say they made was to crop it to fit the format of their cover, and claimed the photo was previously approved by the photographer, Dunham’s publicist and the photo agency after being shot for Entertainment Weekly.

"Those who know us and follow our magazine know that we do not use Photoshop or other digital tools to change the appearance of people who are on our cover or inside the magazine," they wrote (via CNN).

Dunham later posted an update on her Facebook page acknowledging the issue.

"Hey Tentaciones — thank you for sending the uncropped image and for being so good natured about my request for accuracy. I understand that a whole bunch of people approved this photo before it got to you — and why wouldn't they? I look great. But it's a weird feeling to see a photo and not know if it's your own body anymore (and no, I'm pretty sure that will never be my thigh gap.) I have a long and complicated history with retouching. I wanna live in this wild world and get my work seen, and I also want to be honest about who I am and what I stand for. Maybe it's turning 30. Maybe it's seeing my candidate of choice get bashed as much for having a normal woman's body as she is for her policies. Maybe it's getting sick and realizing ALL that matters is this this body work, not that it be milky white and slim. But I want something different now. Thanks for helping me figure that out and sorry to make you the problem, you cool Spanish magazine you. Time to get to the bottom of this in a bigger way. Time to walk the talk." [sic]

Glanville left the show last year after four drama-filled seasons, and Rinna said the void she left was difficult to fill because Glanville was a great villain.

"We all really liked each other, so it made it much more difficult," she said. "I missed her. And then I didn't."

Rinna's feud with Glanville is still ongoing despite the latter's absence from the show, with their Twitter wars becoming legendary. Their most recent one, just last week, revolved around some of Glanville's comments about Lisa Vanderpump and Kyle Richards, with Rinna quickly jumping to the defense of her friends.

No need to miss Glanville anymore, because the ladies of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills have figured out how to create enough drama of their own, after all. Rinna herself managed to drum some up with the whole Munchausen mess regarding Yolanda Foster’s battle with Lyme disease. As Rinna herself described this season:

More: Kim Zolciak accused of pushing her teenage daughter to alter her face

Former The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kim Zolciak has welcomed a new addition to the family, and we have to say, she's by far the cutest member of the house.

The new family member joined the clan over the weekend, and we are officially jealous and want our own. Who is she? An adorable black Lab puppy named Norma Jean.

The Atlanta Humane Society shared a sweet snap on Twitter showing the Zolciak-Biermann family, all smiles, holding their tiny new pup in a pink blanket.

"Happy adoption day @Kimzolciak @biermann71! We're so happy you #foundlove at #atlantahumane!" the caption read.

And Zolciak, who is already mom to another puppy she adopted in 2014 named Sinatra, took it upon herself to continue to show off little Norma Jean on her own social media accounts. Throughout the weekend, she posted shots of the cutie, along with pleas to her fans to support pet adoption rather than breeding.

"Welcome our new baby Norma Jean," she wrote alongside a close-up shot of the tiny puppy's face. "We just had to rescue her. I'm totally in love. Sinatra will have a new BFF. #AdoptDontShop #HumaneSociety #Lab."

Cody Simpson's sister Alli spills the best advice her brother gave her

Alli is definitely following in the footsteps of her well-rounded sibling (her "biggest inspiration"), who himself is a singer, songwriter, musician, dancer, model and actor. So it's no wonder Alli leans heavily on her bro for advice.

And fortunately, advice is kind of his forte, as Alli tells it.

"He's always sort of given me the best advice I've been given in what I'm doing," she shared with SheKnows. "The main thing that Cody always tells me is to just be myself and only do it if I love to do it."

More: Cody Simpson talks new music, working with Justin Bieber

That's not the only pearl he's passed onto her, though. "Hard work is another one. He texts me every day to make sure I'm constantly working to better myself, and he'll always text me before a shoot or before a studio session and just remind me that if I'm staying truthful to me and what I love to do, then it's all going to be great."

Judging by the looks of Alli's burgeoning career, she's taking every word Cody tells her to heart.

Following a successful first year hosting "The Alli Simpson Show" on Radio Disney, Alli has been picked up for a second season — and, thanks to the impressive popularity of her show, has received a time extension to become a three-hour block.

Already on the hit show, she has showed off her trademark charm during interviews with some of the entertainment world's biggest stars, including Justin Bieber, Gwen Stefani, Nick Jonas, Selena Gomez and Gigi Hadid.

The latter of whom recently gave Alli a glowing endorsement:

Alli is able to connect with everyone she meets thanks to her genuine warmth and charisma: That is very clear not only while being interviewed by her, but also when listening to her on-air. She’s an incredible and relatable voice for the young generation to be listening to and she will no doubt grow with her audience. I wouldn’t be surprised if Alli becomes a household-name radio/TV host.

Now, Alli is poised to take on a new and important role as Radio Disney's "Youth Engagement Officer."

In this capacity, Alli will serve as the station's liaison regarding the challenges, issues, topics and trends affecting today's youth — in the process ensuring their voices are heard and serving as a sounding board for her peers.

For Alli, it's a natural fit.

"I've always been passionate about helping girls my age, because I know growing up as a teenage girl we all sort of struggle with the same things, whether it's with friends or body image or boys or family," she said.

More: Alli Simpson's brother makes her want to dance

Even though Alli certainly has a lot going for her, she admits she's no stranger to the struggles that plague most young women her age — it's tough stuff being a teenage girl (we've all been there, right?).

"It is hard, and one of my biggest things is definitely body image... being insecure with my body and having to try to keep fit and eat healthy and exercise," she said. "I know with teenage girls we all sort of compare ourselves to other girls that we see online or supermodels or things like that, and my biggest thing is struggling with that."

Like so many girls her age, Alli endured frequent bullying when she was in school. Not just from the "mean girls," she confesses, but even among her circle of friends, revealing, "I don't take it personally now, but I used to take it more personally."

So what shifted?

"I think over time I've just realized that the majority of the time girls bully each other is out of jealousy," she explained, "and that's just something you have to remind yourself of, and know that if you're doing the right thing and you know what they're saying isn't true, you have to find your peace with that."

She also underscores the importance of talking with friends and family — maintaining an open, honest line of dialogue about what's going on in your life. Or, as she puts simply, "Just keep the good people around you."

More: 15 fierce female-empowerment songs every mom should teach her daughter

What Alli wants other young girls to realize is that, yes, she still deals with the same stuff. But she does have a strategy for dealing with the scrutiny, whether from within or from others.

"To this day, I'm still fighting with it. I still have to look after myself and I'll always have ups and downs with it. But I find that if you're open and talk about it with your family and friends, then it's something that you can move past and love you for who you are. All you can be is the best you that you can be."

Move over, Cody! Your little sis gives some pretty solid advice, too.

How one man found a way to create low-cost sanitary pads for women in India

In a new video by Al Jazeera, Arunachalam Muruganantham explains that he was newly married when his wife Shanthi held something behind her back and wouldn't let him see. He eventually figured out that it was a "dirty cloth" she used to control her monthly menstruation.

More: Twitter is flooded with messages of hope on Self-Harm Awareness Day

She wasn't the only one using less-than-sanitary methods to control her monthly bleeding. According to his research, more than 30 million women in rural areas don't have access to menstruation products — and most don't use them at all. One in five girls even leaves school when they start their periods.

And of those who do use pads? There's the risk of disease from dirty cloths — according to the BBC, approximately 70 percent of all reproductive diseases are caused by poor menstrual hygiene.

India's Menstruation Man

India's Menstruation Man

Muruganantham soon decided that he could help. He cut cotton from a roll and fashioned it into a pad, which he asked his wife to test. However, since it only happens once a month, he thought it would "take decades" to conduct his research. He asked female medical students, but they were too embarrassed to give feedback; so, he decided to wear a sanitary pad and fashioned a "uterus" that he wore around town.

That turned him into an outcast and the town pervert — and Shanthi left him.

He didn't stop his research, eventually figuring out that cellulose was the missing ingredient in his pads. The problem: He needed machines to manufacture the product. Instead of going to big business, he made one on his own — and it's been a wild success with more than 512 brands using his sanitary pad technology to create low-cost options for women across India.

And as for his personal life? Shanthi came back to him after seeing him on television.

This remarkable man refuses to sell his machine to companies, instead focusing on creating jobs for women and expanding to more than 100 developing countries.

"Our success is entirely down to word-of-mouth publicity," he told the BBC in 2014. "Because this is a problem all developing nations face."

Start-up bets you'll give up your coffee for a caffeine bracelet

But would you stop drinking coffee or tea if you could get caffeine from other sources? The brains behind the Joule Caffeine Bracelet are banking on it.

More: How carb cycling can help you get your best body

"The Joule Caffeine Bracelet Provides Convenient, Consistent, All-Day Energy with No Crashes, No Long Lines at the Coffee Shop, No Stained Teeth and No Calories (sic)!" creators Adam Paulin and Alex Kryuk, wrote on the bracelet's Indiegogo page.

Joule

Joule

Here's how it works: You snap on the bracelet and a transdermal patch on the inside will deliver caffeine through your skin and directly into your bloodstream, similarly to how nicotine is transferred with the patch. The idea is that it'll deliver a consistent dose of caffeine throughout the day without the jitters and crash that come with downing a latte. Each patch is good for about four hours, so to get more you just slap on another one.

More: You don't have to quit your nighttime snack habit — under a few conditions

There's no set release date for the Joule quite yet, but you can reserve yours now for a pledge of $29. You'll be in good company since the pair has blown their original $15,000 goal out of the water — they're now up to almost $65K.

It is scientifically possible to absorb through the skin and there have been caffeinated products introduced over the years, but they've failed to really catch on. Why? Caffeine is still best ingested — at least according to every person who visits Starbucks. I'll take a Caramel Macchiato, thank you.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are being shown off in a brilliant way

But don’t expect Harkins and Olen to paint the Olsens as America’s sweethearts. The two comedians plan to highlight the fact that the twins are the anti-relatable celebrity. Harkins and Olen have observed that the twins no longer try to be adorable or attainable to anyone — including their fans. Not even the nostalgia of Full House could get them to agree to act again.

More: Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen slapped with a bogus-sounding lawsuit

The exhibit is currently crowdsourcing its funding through Kickstarter and already has more than a quarter of the money needed. The completed exhibit will include paintings of Mary-Kate and Ashley by Laura Collins. The art is part of an original series by Collins called "The Olsen Twins Hiding From The Paparazzi." You might have guessed that these paintings show the Olsen twins hiding from paparazzi.

More: Ashley Olsen swears off acting for good

If the comedians reach their goal, the Olsen museum will open in April for two weeks. However, the Kickstarter campaign includes two stretch goals that, if reached, would stretch the exhibit longer. Which, let’s face it, is something we all need.

I certainly don’t want to tell you what to do with your money, but is there a better way to spend $10 than supporting an art exhibit that celebrates the fact that Mary-Kate and Ashley have acted wildly disinterested in their fame for over a decade? It’s brilliant and a little bit ridiculous. And if Fuller House can get funded, surely this can get enough backers.

Why Shadowhunters' Simon becoming a vampire will greatly improve the show

More: Shadowhunters: Why Simon's destiny rests in Clary's hands

Remember how last week's episode ended with Camille attacking Simon? Yeah, well, she killed him, resulting in vampire Raphael carrying Simon's dead body to the Institute. But, since he died a mortal death with vampire blood in his system, Raphael informed Clary that she had two options: Allow Simon to become a vampire or let him die.

Hmm... guess which option Clary chose. Yeah, with the help of Jace and Raphael, she buried Simon and waited for him to emerge from the ground as a vampire, and Simon eventually climbed his way out of the grave. FYI, he definitely isn't Clary's BFF anymore.

The first thing Simon did was drain a few blood bags dry. Then, he came to the realization that he is now a vampire. As viewers probably imagined, he's not happy with Clary's choice. He called himself "repulsive" and "nothing more than a monster." Clary tried to calm him down, but at this moment in time, he wants nothing to do with her. Clearly, he needs to come to terms with what he's become.

More: Shadowhunters won't get past Season 1 if they can't uncomplicate story lines

Simon Lewis
Image: Tumblr

Should Clary have let Simon die? Yeah, probably, because death would most likely be less horrible than going from human to vampire. It also seems like Simon would rather be dead, too. Maybe Clary should've thought about what Simon would've wanted a bit more.

Whatever the case, vampire Simon just might be the series' savior. Admittedly, the past few episodes have been boring and convoluted. Now, maybe a darker Simon will make it more interesting. He's experiencing an entirely different lifestyle, so watching him learn to be a vamp will be exciting.

Not to mention, he and Clary just might be at odds now. What does this mean for their friendship? Will Simon go pure evil and against his best friend? Intriguing plotlines could come from this, so let's hope Shadowhunters doesn't do a disservice to Simon's potentially thrilling story.

Shadowhunters airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on Freeform.

Why Dance Moms' new mom-shaming is completely unacceptable

Kira Girard may not be the most popular of the mothers on Dance Moms, but tonight, she had no trouble gaining the sympathy of viewers, who objected when the other moms spoke ill of Girard's absence. Under ordinary circumstances, it would be unfortunate to see Kalani Hilliker dancing without her mom in the audience, but at the time of filming, Girard was busy taking care of her new baby, who was less than a month old. The other moms conveniently forgot this while complaining of Girard's absence.

More: Maddie Ziegler is no longer Abby Lee Miller's favorite dancer

Not only did the moms whine about Girard not being around, they acted as if she was to blame when Hilliker had to be pulled from a dance due to injury. The moms seemed to think that, had Girard been there, she could have told Hilliker to back off on the dancing at the first signs of pain. That may be true, but Hilliker is old enough to know her own body and advocate for herself.

More: The Dance Moms minis have arrived, but not everybody is excited

For a moment, Miller seemed as if she might be more reasonable than the moms while discussing this particular issue. She admitted that she understood that Girard had recently had a baby... but then she added that the father should be taking care of the newborn while Girard attends to her teenage daughter. Unfortunately, it's not that easy for new moms to up and leave just weeks after giving birth.

Miller being completely out of touch is to be expected, but it would have been nice to see the other moms be a little bit more supportive. Evidently, they have completely forgotten how crazy those first few weeks are after giving birth. Viewers, however, recognize the challenges Girard faced at the time of filming. They took to Twitter en masse to tell off the other moms and show their support for Girard.

Girard already highlighted the ridiculous nature of the moms' claims last week, when she updated her Twitter page with the following common sense message:

Miller is wrong about a lot, but she is right about one thing: The moms spend way too much time speaking ill of one another. Instead of bashing a mom who is trying her best to balance caring for a newborn with managing her daughter's crazy dance career, they should show a little compassion.

Should the moms stop speaking ill of Kira Girard? Comment and share your opinion below.
