More: Jenelle Evans reveals why she changed her mind about more plastic surgery

Those who have watched Teen Mom know that Evans' biological father isn't a part of her life.

Now, in a blog post Evans published on her website, Jenelle Lauren Evans, she opens up about her estranged father for the first time. The post, titled "Daddy Issues," explains that Evans hasn't seen her father at all since she was a young girl.

"A lot of people ask and wonder about my biological father; where he is, why isn’t he in my life," she wrote, adding that she lived with both of her parents and her siblings until she was 5 or 6. "My mother and father never got along, and I don’t remember, but there was always arguing and physical altercations in my household growing up."

More: Jenelle Evans celebrates turning 24 by making two big decisions

Despite her parents' tumultuous relationship, Evans reveals that she was very close to her father.

"He always knew how to put a smile on my face while singing old songs to me in the car, like Red Hot Chili Peppers and rock music while driving around town in the car running errands,” she wrote. “I would love to hear his voice because he actually was a great singer and used to be in a band with Chevy Chase and had blonde hair down to his butt!"

And Evans' book will go into more detail about what exactly made her father leave, but she mentions on her blog that he didn't get along with her mom or her siblings.

"Later on I found out there was a huge reason behind that," she wrote. "I'll save that for my book."

According to Evans, her father disappeared once her stepfather became a part of her life.

"To this day I have no idea whether it was the best choice for me to cut ties with him, like my mother tried to make me do, or if my father just didn’t want anything to do with us anymore," she wrote. "This thought is always on my mind, but until I get to speak to him, it will never be answered. Maybe one day we will reconnect once again. Love you daddy."

New Blac Chyna arrest details are worse than we thought

The details of Chyna's arrest at the Austin, Texas, airport last week make her legal issues much worse than they originally sounded. According to an affidavit from the Municipal Court of Travis County, where the airport is located, Chyna's troubles began when a British Airlines manager refused to allow her to board a plane after smelling alcohol on her breath.

More: Rob Kardashian creates a fan frenzy with his Instagram post about Blac Chyna (PHOTO)

The manager claims Chyna then became verbally abusive and returned to an airport bar, the Saxon Pub, where she tried to get even more alcohol. Unfortunately, she was refused service because the bar was closing — so she became verbally abusive to the bartender.

After some heated words, she began to cry and complain that she had no one to pick her up after being kicked off her flight. When cops tried to escort her from the airport, she became uncooperative and refused to walk.

And that's when things got really, really bad. When police searched her purse, they found two small white pills in a sunglasses case. Chyna denied knowing anything about them, but lab results later positively identified the pills as ecstasy — a Schedule I controlled substance.

What does this mean for Chyna? She is being charged with a third-degree felony of possession of a controlled substance, which, according to Texas state law, is punishable with jail time of anywhere from two to 10 years and up to a $10,000 fine.

Chyna has been freed on $8000 bail and is currently back in Los Angeles after boyfriend Rob Kardashian drove like a madman halfway across the country to pick her up. She is spending her first day back in town getting her Future tattoo removed, according to her Snapchat.

Duff and Comrie may have split, but that doesn't mean they hate each other. In fact, Duff has often sung the praises of her ex in the media, and we haven't heard any nasty rumors about why their marriage didn't work out. Pretty big feat in a celebrity culture obsessed with tearing each other down, right?

Ellen DeGeneres thinks so, and she praised Duff for "doing it right" during an interview today.

"I think that's the way it should be," Duff said. "We have such a great kid, and we're both so obsessed with him. We are good friends and we laugh a lot and we have a great communication. We share pictures when one is not with Luca. Yeah, he's great. We are great and we keep on trucking."

Helping keep Duff's attitude toward her ex positive might be the fact that her mind is on other men. While she did not reveal if she is dating anyone, she definitely has a celebrity crush.

When given a choice between Prince Harry and Harry Styles, Prince Hot Ginge won hands down. But when Leonardo DiCaprio was thrown into the mix, he gave our favorite royal a run for his money — almost.

Former Divas champion Bella underwent neck surgery last week to fuse disks in her spine. Following the procedure, she's been keeping her fans updated on her progress via Instagram, where she posted a sweet shot Monday of herself in her neck brace, cuddling her adorable dog.

"Always looking after Mommy," she captioned the shot, along with heart and dog emojis and "#babywinston."

Bella will be laid up for at least three months, she recently told E! News. She'll be in her neck brace and completely unable to travel for at least that long, and it could be six months before she's able to remove the brace.

"I can barely be in the car because of the spot where my injury is," she told the site. "I have to try as much as I can not to move my neck, so it can heal."

But recovery isn't stopping Bella from making plans for the future. It's still unknown whether she'll be able to return to the WWE, but she plans to stay in shape as she recovers.

"Can't wait till I can do arm weights and squats with no bar or weights," she wrote to her followers. "I won't let this injury get me lazy or out of shape! If anything I'm going to be in the best shape of my life!! Just call me Superwoman."

8 Facts about your libido that will help you improve your sex life

$
0
0

The subject of women and their sex drive and libido is, shockingly, still off limits to some. So many of us feel disappointed with ourselves for not being able to orgasm on command (often, by our own command), yet we fail to try and understand our own bodies in a way that could lead not only to better and more powerful orgasms, but to stronger and healthier connections to ourselves and our partners. It's unrealistic and unfair of us to expect our partners to instinctively know what we need in bed if we aren't educating ourselves on our own bodies and the reality of how our sex drive works — and how it changes over the years.

Here are eight facts about the female sex drive that will help you get to know yourself and take control of your sex life.

1. Women naturally have lower sex drives than men — Some of us are more sexual than others, it's true, but as a whole, Elizabeth Davies, founder of Relationships Advice, says women have a lower sex drive than men, something that had evolutionary benefits back in the day. But that doesn't mean women can't take steps to increase their sex drives. "It's OK to use female Viagra," Davies says. "If you want to be more sexual and sensual, you have to experiment. The more you do, the more you'll want."

More: 11 Valentine's Day gifts you can give a new boyfriend

2. Parenting can kill a woman's sex drive — Women who focus too much on parenting often lose sight of their sexual nature, Davies says — a fact every woman who has spent all day knee-deep in baby poop and pureed foods knows all too well. Your sex life may take a back seat to parenting for a little while, which is totally fine and normal, but it's also important for you to take time out for yourself and to make time for you and your partner to go on regular dates, kiss, hug and connect without the kids.

3. You may not hit your 'sexual peak' at 40 — Lots of women who experience lulls in their sex life while raising kids in their 20s and 30s might find comfort in the thought that a crazy, wild sexy time is waiting for them when they hit their so-called sexual stride at age 40. But Davies says women don’t have one solid age for their sexual prime, and instead go through different stages and can peak at virtually any age. This is excellent news if you've celebrated the big 4-0 and are sitting around wondering why you haven't had the urge to hit up a BDSM club.

More: 8 Ways to orgasm without sex

4. Everything (including the kitchen sink) can affect your sex desire — Women are complex, interesting beings and our sex drives feel the influence of various changes in our life — both big and small — in ways men can't imagine. "Female sexual desire can vary more frequently than male," says Dr. Jordan Tishler, a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Medical School, who also trained in Internal Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. "It’s influenced by a broad range of physical and emotional states, from the time of the month (hormonal fluctuations) to stress in life to social pressure (too many magazine articles). Age and menopausal status can greatly affect sexual desire, as well. In older women, if innate sexual desire wanes, often a more conscious intimacy-seeking/sharing approach becomes important, where women re-focus on their emotional needs and the needs of their partners."

5. Men are more goal-oriented during sex — If you suspect your partner is rushing to get you off because he doesn't care about your needs, you may be misunderstanding how men are simply different. "Men are more goal oriented," Tishler says. "While this may have him diving for your clit too soon, he can be educated. This orientation also leads to 'what will she do to show she loves me — will she give me head?' Men are turned on by women who either like pushing the boundaries of the relationship in the bedroom, or are willing to go there to show devotion. Know your limits, and also don’t turn this into a game of 'will I or won’t I reward him.' Rather, use new sexual experiences to heighten your mutual bond and pleasure."

6. Women and men 'use' sex in different ways — Wondering why your partner is able to get turned on after a particularly stressful day while you just want a glass (or three) of wine? "Both female and male sexual drive are complicated, and most of the action goes on 'above the neck,'" Tishler says. "Most men look to sex to create intimacy, whereas most women look at sex as an expression of intimacy. For women often, the feelings of intimacy need to come first, sex second. Most women look at sex as something to be enjoyed when relaxed and in the mood, whereas men often look at sex as a de-stressor."

7. Women in their 30s and 40s have different sexual needs — If you're in your 30s or 40s, you may be wondering if a change in your sex drive is all in your imagination. You may not be menopausal yet, but that doesn't mean your sexual needs are consistent with those you experienced in your 20s — and that's OK. "Women in their late 30s or early 40s need to be in the right state of mind to engage in sexual intercourse," says Dr. Sonja Bethune, a licensed clinical psychologist in California, who is an expert in the field of sex therapy. "In a sense, they need to be coerced. Foreplay becomes essential at this stage in a woman’s life. A woman in her late 20s or early 30s may have no problem at all getting aroused, since this is typically when a woman’s sex drive increases based on her lifespan."

8. There is no one sexual position that works for all women — We're forever reading about sex positions that are supposed to increase the chances of an orgasm in women. But we're all very different and should rely more on our own discoveries about our bodies than what we read and hear about from others. "Men typically prefer the woman to be on top and women prefer to be on the bottom," Bethune says. "For instance, some women can only have an orgasm on their back in the most relaxed position. If they are attempting to do two things at once, such as being on top and doing all the work, the orgasm will not happen. Other women are different in which they can have a vaginal orgasm easier if they are controlling the motions on top of the man. Women may be built similarly, but they can function quite differently when it comes to sexual encounters."

What moms think it really feels like to give birth

If you've ever hit the magical six weeks postpartum mark with an air of excited expectancy only to still feel like you've been hit by a truck, you're not alone. Researchers at the University of Michigan can back up your assertion that labor is not effing around.

The study showed that women sustained similar injuries in labor as serious athletes who have run a marathon — a full quarter of the women participating suffered stress fractures, while 41 percent had muscle tears.

Reading the news, we couldn't help but wonder: What else is labor like, if not slamming your feet down on hard pavement for hours in an event that is named after the first person to ever run 26.2 miles before falling down dead at the end of it?

So we asked.

More: Women confess the craziest reasons they've faked a pregnancy

When SheKnows spoke to real moms about what they would compare labor to, they didn't use words half as gentle as the phrase "like a marathon" to describe their ordeals. Warning: If you're an expectant mother frantically Googling for a little comfort, you may want to avert your eyes.

One mom who labored for almost a full day before being rushed in for an emergency C-section described it as an alien autopsy, and even that was one of the less graphic descriptions of pushing a small human from a much smaller orifice.

Mom Lacey summed up her labor experience eloquently enough, saying it was "something like putting a chainsaw and torch in my vagina and then getting this screaming pooping thing in return."

Melissa illustrated the surreality of the peanut gallery, saying that she would best compare it to "being ripped in half in increments while your partner and strangers smile and cheer for you. Then amnesia. Until you have to poop or sit down."

That wasn't the first reference to poo or butts (we'll get to that in a second), and Monica gave words to a sensation so few of us can aptly articulate, saying that labor was like "a bowling ball repeatedly slamming on my butt from the inside."

Carissa, on the other hand, opted for a short and sweet anecdote, proclaiming that the experience was akin to "being a test chamber for a small bomb."

More16 Amazing tattoos for parents, inspired by their kids

Then there was a whole slew of moms who likened the experience to something having to do with severe gastrointestinal distress.

For her part, Emma fondly remembers her labor as "Taking a really hard, large shit when you have a hemorrhoid the size of a golf ball that gives you period cramps so painful you're begging someone to stick a giant needle in your spine. Yeah, that basically sums it up."

Indeed.

Bryanne had a slightly abashed air when she proclaimed her labor experience: "This is terrible but I always tell my husband and sons that it's like the cramps from the worst diarrhea anyone could ever have, with the added bonus of your flesh ripping apart. It seems to elicit an appropriate look of horror."

Well done, Bryanne.

Katie agrees with the poo angle, saying that it was like "having acute gastroenteritis while on acid. Then it all stops and this baby is in your hands."

Jamie honed in on the most poignant feeling you'll get while experiencing the miracle of birth, saying only that it was very much like "pooping for the first time... in years."

More: My sexy OB-GYN was a total distraction during my pregnancy

Of course, everyone's experience will vary, and assuming you've suffered from some type of labor amnesia, you can always rely on an onlooker's perspective of the joyous occasion. We had one dad, Alex, weigh in with what childbirth felt like from his purview, saying that he would best liken the experience to "slowly crushing my hand in a well-moisturized vice."

Well, at least it was soft and supple, Alex.

4 Simple ways to keep a ring from turning your finger green

$

Step 1: Don't panic

This common green stain is not harmful, so there is no need to panic. If it does appear, just remove the piece of jewelry causing the problem and it should fade away. If you are not allergic to metal, the reason for this reaction is chemical, due to a combination of the metal and the acids in your skin. Experts say that there are several metals that oxidize with your skin to give you a noticeable green ring around your finger. A ring made of copper is a common culprit; even silver and gold metals can cause discoloration.

More: What it means to wear a right-hand ring

Step 2: Avoid cheap jewelry

OK, so this solution is easier said than done, but it’s a start. In this situation, the saying "You get what you pay for" applies. A cheap ring may look cute and it seems affordable, but it’ll cost you in other ways. This type of jewelry will tarnish quickly and leave behind a green stain when worn.

Stainless steel, platinum and rhodium-plated jewelry, which includes almost all white gold, are less likely to react to your skin. Look for these specific metals when shopping for rings and decrease the chances of buying jewelry that will turn your finger green.

More: Exactly how to stack your rings like a pro

Step 3: Keep skin dry

Keep soaps and lotions away from your ring finger if you want to prevent the green-finger effect. Something as simple as removing rings before washing your hands or before taking a shower can help. Avoid wearing rings in the pool as well. The chlorine from the swimming pool will damage your jewelry and leave the annoying stain.

More: 10 Adorable jewelry finds that aren't just silver and gold

Step 4: Quick fix

If you can’t stay away from accessories prone to leaving a dark stain, try clear nail polish as a quick fix. Apply a polymer coating to your ring and let dry. This creates a barrier between your skin and the metal, so that the ring can’t turn your finger green. Just remember to reapply the coating often because it tends to wear off.

Teresa Giudice's memoir will describe her emotional last night at home

More: Teresa Giudice reveals her prison cell's shocking nickname

Giudice's book is set to be released on Feb. 9, but in the meantime, new excerpts obtained by the New York Daily News provide new details about what readers can expect.

Giudice's description of her last night at home is particularly heart-wrenching. Before reporting to the minimum security Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Connecticut, on Jan. 5 of last year, Giudice had to say a hard goodbye to her family, which included celebrating her oldest daughter Gia's 14th birthday early, since she would be incarcerated on Gia's actual birthday.

Once the birthday celebration was over, Giudice, her husband and their four daughters lay in bed together, and Giudice told the girls, "Mommy has to leave," watching them burst into hysterical tears. One of Giudice's daughters couldn't breathe, she was crying so hard, and soon, Giudice and her husband were crying, too.

More: Melissa Gorga shares sweet throwback pic with Teresa Giudice (PHOTO)

Though Giudice and her husband had told their younger daughters that Giudice was going away for work reasons, she reveals in her book that when they put Miliana to bed, she told Giudice, "I hate that this is happening to you."

Then Giudice and her husband, who had been crying in the kitchen downstairs, joined Gia in her room where the three of them silently held each other. Giudice described the whole experience of saying goodbye to her family on that last night as "deeply traumatizing."

Before reporting to the prison at around 3 a.m., Giudice removed her hair extensions and spent time with her husband, Joe, who gave her a rosary and Catholic medals of St. Christopher and St. Teresa as gifts. After the couple said "I love you" to each other, Giudice left with her lawyer and security guard to report for her sentence.

Don't worry — Mel Gibson's involvement hasn't been announced (yet). But whether you're new to the Christian tradition of passion plays or have participated in one yourself, we've got the full scoop on what to expect when The Passion airs in March.

1) Passion plays are an important ritual for many Christians around the world

Since the Middle Ages, Christian communities across the globe have staged elaborate theatrical productions that depict the Last Supper, trial and crucifixion of Jesus Christ. It is traditional for these plays to be performed during the Easter season. And although the basic story elements are universal, passion plays often incorporate imagery and customs that are unique to the cities, countries and cultures in which the plays are performed.

2) The Passion has its roots in Europe

In 2006, the BBC aired a contemporary musical adaptation of the traditional passion play titled Manchester Passion. Eschewing traditional hymns and holy music, Manchester Passion relied on British pop music to tell the story of Jesus, incorporating songs like Joy Division's "Love Will Tear Us Apart," The Smiths' "Heaven Knows I’m Miserable Now" and New Order's "Blue Monday." The successful production inspired a Dutch production company to conceptualize The Passion, a "large-scale, live cultural pop event" set in different cities throughout the Netherlands and starring notable Dutch pop stars. The Passion has aired on Dutch TV every year since 2011, and that production is now being adapted for American audiences by Dick Clark Productions.

3) The Passion has more in common with High School Musical than The Passion of the Christ

As previously mentioned, the European incarnation of The Passion is all about contemporary pop music, and the American version will follow suit. Fittingly, this version is written by Peter Barsocchini, best known as the writer of High School Musical and its sequels.

4) Tyler Perry is the face of the show

You'd think that Jesus would be the star of any passion play, but this one has a narrator. And that narrator is getting very prominent billing.

The Passion - Tyler Perry instagram

Perry's not a newcomer to Christian programming; many of his films address religious ideas and individuals. It's no surprise, then, that he'll be taking a very visible role in The Passion.

5) The rest of the cast is impressive, too

Keeping with the style of Manchester Passion and the Dutch version of The Passion, Fox's production will star American pop and country stars. Keep an eye out for Jencarlos Canela as Jesus, Chris Daughtry as Judas and Trisha Yearwood as Mary.

6) The production will make use of New Orleans landmarks

The Passion isn't set in any Broadway theater or Hollywood sound stage — fittingly, it will be on the streets of a major American city. The show will be airing live from New Orleans, and though specifics are being carefully kept under wraps, it is said to be filmed at a variety of well-known landmarks. One climactic moment will feature a group of hundreds carrying a 20-foot cross from the Superdome to Woldenberg Park.

7) The Passion will air on Palm Sunday

If you've got plans to be with family on Easter Sunday, don't fret — you will still be able to watch The Passion. It airs a week earlier, on March 20, at 8/7c.

Are you excited to watch The Passion this Easter season? Curious to learn more about Fox's latest live musical production? Check out the trailer below.

Student loan interest: How parents can pay and give their child the deduction

$

0

There are approximately 37-million student loan borrowers with outstanding student loans, most of who are under the age of 30. They owe nearly $1 trillion combined in student loan debt.

More: 15 Crazy courses colleges actually let kids take for credit

Paying back those dollars can be tough. Fortunately, unlike other personal debt (such as credit card debt), student loan interest may be deductible on your federal income tax return. The student loan interest deduction is an adjustment to income, sometimes referred to as an “above the line” deduction, since you don’t have to itemize in order to claim the deduction.

How much can you deduct?

For the current tax year, you can deduct up to $2,500 in interest you pay on a qualified student loan if your modified adjusted gross income (MAGI) is less than $75,000 ($155,000 for married taxpayers filing jointly). For most taxpayers filing a federal form 1040, MAGI is the total of your adjusted gross income (found on line 37) without taking into account the student loan deduction (found on line 33), the tuition and fees deduction (found on line 34) or domestic production activities deduction (found on line 35). For taxpayers filing a federal form 1040A, MAGI is your AGI (found on line 21) without the student loan interest deduction (found on line 18) and tuition and fees deduction (found on line 19).

Typically, if you paid $600 or more in interest for a qualified student loan, you will receive a form 1098-E, Student Loan Interest Statement. Use that form to report information about interest paid during the year; it does not matter if the interest is the minimum which was required or if you paid more in voluntary interest payments. A qualified student loan is a loan taken out solely to pay qualified higher education expenses.

Don’t get hung up on the form 1098-E, however. Interest is interest. You may deduct the interest paid for purposes of paying qualified higher education expenses if paid during the year, whether you receive a form 1098-E or not. This includes interest on credit card debt used only to pay qualified education expenses. It does not include loans from related parties or employers.

What are qualified higher education expenses?

For purposes of the deduction, qualified higher education expenses are the total costs of attending an eligible educational institution, including graduate school. This includes amounts paid for tuition and fees, as well as room and board (some restrictions apply), books, supplies and equipment and other necessary expenses.

How to claim the deduction

Assuming that you meet the income criteria outlined above, you can claim the deduction if you paid interest that you were legally obligated to pay. You and your spouse, if married filing jointly, cannot be claimed as dependents on any other person’s return (even if they do not claim you). You may not claim the deduction if you file as married filing separately.

The deduction can be claimed for interest paid on a loan taken out for you, your spouse or a person who was your dependent when you took out the loan. A dependent is considered to be your qualifying child or your qualifying relative. Some special rules apply to the “normal” rules for dependents. For this purpose, an individual can be your dependent even if you are the dependent of another taxpayer. An individual can be your dependent even if the individual files a joint return with a spouse. More importantly, an individual can be your dependent even if the individual had gross income for the year that was equal to or more than the exemption amount for the year ($3,800 for 2012).

The gift that gives twice

Here’s the most fantastic part. I know that paying off these loans is tough. And in this economy, not all students can meet their student loan obligations. Sometimes, a parent or other person has to step in and pay on your behalf. In almost every circumstance — including for the home mortgage interest deduction — that means no deduction. Not so for the student loan deduction.

If you are legally obligated to make student loan interest payments and someone else makes a payment on your behalf, you are treated as receiving the payments from the other person and, in turn, paying the interest. No, that’s not a typo. Parents can make those payments for a child and the child can still claim the interest for purposes of the deduction. It’s the gift that gives twice. Take advantage of it.

What I hope my kids with autism know about my parenting choices

More: I learned to make my autistic children's lives about them not me

You read and read and read to the point that you are completely convinced that you will go insane. For every source that says to do one thing, you will find an equal amount that say the opposite. Eventually, you will come to the conclusion that the best source is your own child along with tons of trial and error. The day has finally arrived when you accept that no one has written the perfect book on how to raise the perfect child with autism and give you both the perfect life.

You feel a sense of relief at surviving the stages:

  • Denial — No, my child does not have autism. Whatever is going on we can fix it.
  • Anger — I shouldn’t have gotten them vaccinated. I shouldn’t have gone to that rock concert. I shouldn’t have gone on that trip. I shouldn’t have eaten meat or been a vegetarian or anything else that could possibly have affected my child.
  • Negotiation — We can make this work. We’ll try every therapy and medication out there, and we will cure the autism. We will lessen the effect. We will “fill in the blank" with whatever else might possibly work.
  • Depression — They said going gluten-free would work, but it's not working. They said applied behavior analysis would work, but it’s not working. Nothing is working!
  • Acceptance — My child is more than “being autistic.” I’m going to give them back their childhood.

More: I worry I caused my children’s autism through environmental exposure

You begin to let go of whatever dreams you had before the diagnosis so you can create new dreams. You begin to let go of the craziness of trying to “fix them” into the child you want so they can be the child they want. You feel proud and accomplished, like you are Superparent.

Still, you keep reading. Now, your goal is to help them face the challenges of being a teen, going to high school and prepping for adulthood. In this aspect, we are no different than parents of neurotypical children. Our children will face growing up in this stressful world too, albeit with some different challenges and perspectives.

There are many Facebook groups, message boards, articles and books out there for and by adults with autism who talk about what worked for them, what didn’t, what life was like and continues to be like. When I began looking into these, I thought this was going to be the answer. I could easily guide my two daughters with autism if I could learn from the path these people followed. I could maybe even find a role model that they could question when needed or guide them in a way I never could not having autism myself.

What I found scared me and at times broke me. In complete honesty, there were some things and people who helped, but I also found a great deal of anger and sometimes outright hatred directed at those of us who are neurotypical — particularly parents. Many adults with autism did not like what they perceived as parents making their child’s autism about themselves. They didn’t like parents talking about the "sacrifices" they had to make, they didn’t like us being in their Facebook groups or message boards — even if it was to learn.

I hated the idea that my daughters would grow up to become like these people — that by the time they are adults they must choose sides in a war they were inadvertently born into between neurotypicals and those with autism.

Why is humanity inherently predisposed to finding the differences in people and destroying one another over it? We fight because of skin color, the faith we practice or don’t, the amount of money we make or don’t, the politics we side with, the country we are born in or give our loyalty to and now we’re going to add thinking and behavioral patterns to it?

At this point, the only honest answer I can find to all my questions is to love my daughters. I encourage all parents of children with autism to just love your children, focus on the present and stop worrying about the future.

I plan on writing a journal for both my daughters so that when they’re old enough, they will know why I made certain choices, what I did when I realized the choices I made were wrong and how it felt to be their mom — not the mother of children with autism, but their mom.

Someday, if they have people trying to convince them that I don’t understand them, I can honestly tell them that is true. I can’t understand them, just like they can’t understand what it was like to be me. It’s not important whether or not I understand them, just that I loved them; I will never stop loving them, and no ideological war can change that.

Here are eight times Taylor has said sorry for his behavior.

After Taylor and Schroeder broke up — and after months of lying — Taylor approached Schroeder with a bouquet of flowers and said, "This is going to be really hard to say. A month before everything happened, I did go to Vegas and have relations with somebody else." Needless to say, the apology didn't go well.

Do you believe Taylor's apologies?
