Designers and stylists dress big-name celebrities in hopes of promoting their brand, and sometimes even pay them to wear their label (i.e., Jennifer Lawrence as the face of Dior). The dresses are stunning, but it's also a rampant reminder that Hollywood has one image in mind when it comes to beauty.
Enter Bryce Dallas Howard, who, in her red carpet interview with Giuliana Rancic, talked about her size 6 body like it's no big deal. Like it's normal. Exactly how it should be.
"I am wearing Jenny Packham. I just picked it up at Neimans this week," she said to Rancic after being asked who she was wearing.
Rancic replied with a look of near-horror, but ultimately praised her.
"Because I like having lots of options for a size 6, as opposed to maybe one option, so I always go to department stores for this kind of stuff," she elaborated. "You know how it is."

And women everywhere just cheered. And hopefully let out a sigh of relief. Between the constant messages that we should lose weight, or gain muscle or dress a certain way, it's refreshing for someone surrounded by Hollywood glamour to come out just say, "This is me." And instead of waiting for the perfect designer to offer her a free dress because she fits a certain preordained image, to take her image into her own hands.
Howard hints at one important fact: There simply aren't enough options for women who aren't less than a size 4. It's easier for her to shop for herself than let a stylist spoon-feed her a rack of dress options... because those options seemingly aren't there.
But hopefully with Howard and other women in the spotlight being honest and proud of their bodies in many forms, there will be.
Mere hours before he was scheduled to take the stage for the big gig, Gervais put to rest any lingering questions over whether or not he would be toning down his trademark humor for the award show by posting a shirtless pic with a rather uncouth caption.
To be clear, it's NSFW, if that gives you any indication.
Golden Globes Ricky Gervais
Golden Globes Ricky Gervais
"Better get dressed and offend some humourless c*nts I suppose," Gervais tweeted. Ruh roh, Shaggy! Looks like we're in for a wild ride. Of course, that comes as no surprise to Gervais' many fans or to anyone who has caught his Golden Globes-hosting in the past.
This year's event will mark the fourth time Gervais has served as host — he took the helm from 2010 to 2012 before a three-year stint by funny ladies Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.
And, as Amy Adams pointed out on the red carpet, "I don't think he would ever go away for a few years and come back without anything to say." In other words, this year may just be Gervais' most extreme yet.
After all, his most memorable barbs over the years prove no one is safe when it comes to Gervais' Golden Globes material. He has baited Mel Gibson for allegedly being a racist, he's gone after Charlie Sheen for Sheen's drug-fueled shenanigans, he has skewered Johnny Depp's wardrobe and he's even gone after the network airing the awards show.
That much, it seems certain, will be a repeat performance.
During an appearance on NBC's Today show this morning, Gervais made no pretenses about his intentions. "I've got to bite the hand that feeds me. I've got to have a go at NBC, at the Hollywood Foreign Press — with good humor. I don't want this nauseating, backslapping 'aren't we all great'... yeah, we know we're all great. It's entertainment, it's fairyland, it's TV, this isn't real, we're... not saving lives," Gervais said.
Sound off! Are you looking forward to Gervais' hosting?
The show went from being on the verge of cancellation to winning a Golden Globe tonight for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series — Musical or Comedy. Rachel Bloom accepted the award.
Aside from the fact that the show has been plagued by seriously low ratings all season, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend has been consistently accused of anti-feminism, not just for its title but for some seriously controversial scenes like the "Sexy French Depression" song in a recent episode.
There has been so much negativity toward the show that CW President Mark Pedowitz addressed it at the Television Critics Association winter previews on Sunday morning.
"At the moment, I wish I had more optimistic [ratings] statistics. I don't," Pedowitz said, according to TV Guide. "What we do have is great faith in the show, great faith in the showrunners and the creators, Aline Brosh McKenna and Rachel Bloom. We believe in the show. We stand by the show."
Unfortunately, the reactions to Crazy Ex-Girlfriend's win proves that not a lot of others are with him.

Now, let me put in a caveat here, because I love The CW (Vampire Diaries all the way!). And I love seeing The CW nominated because it means the network will get to keep doing all the amazing things it does.
Ricky Gervais even made a joke that the Golden Globe winners had paid for their award. Uh... was the joke less of a joke and more of a way to call out the award show?
Are you shocked that Crazy Ex-Girlfriend won a Golden Globe?
The British Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli once said that the secret to success is constancy to purpose. It's a quote worth remembering in a society that likes to scroll through its options and celebrates the search rather than the find. The current Jupiter retrograde is bound to make you feel like you're engaged in an exercise in futility — either you feel overlooked at work or you're on a career path to nowhere. Thankfully, the sun/Jupiter trine on Jan. 13 brings an unexpected breakthrough. It's not much to look at now, but keep on going and it will be in May.
Don't be surprised if you're seized by the impulse to pick up where you left off with an old hobby or discarded project on Jan. 13. Part of you will say that you don't have time for fools' errands, but not everything we do has to produce tangible results. Sometimes heeding our creativity and following our interests is more fulfilling than any paycheck. It reconnects us to heartfelt pursuits that give us joy, and it can even resuscitate talents that have been left to languish. And who knows? You might even discover an alternative means of income in the process.
Don't treat your everyday life like it's wallpaper, or you could miss out on all the opportunities tucked between the cracks. Mercury retrogrades are famous for thwarting your best-laid plans, but they can also push you to revisit outdated assumptions and formulaic approaches. The Mercury/Jupiter trine on Thursday gets you to look twice at something that's been sitting on the periphery collecting dust. Maybe it's the number you should call, that person you promised to contact or the class you said you'd take one day. Follow up on this calling card from your higher purpose. You won't regret it.
Things are so volatile at work that it's hard to tell where you stand vis-à-vis your chances of success. Most people would run and hide given the current circumstances, and this would be advisable if your sole concern was job security. But you want to advance and that requires risk. A dramatic Venus/Uranus trine on the 12th says that if there was ever a time to make your presence known and to prove that you deserve top dollar — it's now. If you don't take the plunge, then you can never complain about the stars never having given you the opportunity.
You won't be able to believe your good fortune when you learn of a promotion or advancement at work on Jan. 14. These things aren't supposed to happen during a Mercury retrograde but guess what? They do — especially when the sun trines Jupiter. Celebrate your lucky break but also remember that the real work is just beginning. You will be expected to take on more tasks and to accomplish them in less time than you've ever had before. Plus, there will be no passing the buck because the buck stops with you. That said, you're still up to the task.
Pay close attention to developments this week because Jupiter, the planet of good fortune, will be leaving a trail of breadcrumbs that lead to an opportunity that could be yours for the taking by mid May. These "developments" won't seem like much at first. They could be based on things like speculation, hearsay and vagaries. You're not into taking anything on faith or building castles in the air, but you're going to have to put aside your skepticism and think outside your comfort zone of to-do lists and tangible returns. It's time to lead with your hopes and dreams.
Home is where the headache is when the sun conjoins retrograde Mercury in that part of your solar chart that pertains to house and family on Jan. 14. Everyone knows that Mercury retrogrades presage delays, setbacks and unforeseen technicalities that gum up the works of your everyday life, but this will set a new precedent. This will push you to cut ties with a responsibility or obligation that's dogged you for too long. Not only will this break prove liberating, but it ironically gives you the upper hand in a hotly contested matter. An unlikely twist to say the least.
When Mercury's retrograde, life can feel like adding up a list of numbers and arriving at a different answer every time. You know you're doing something wrong but what? The bright side to the planet of the mind traveling backward in the sky is that it forces you to comb over the ground you just traveled. There's something about your method or your approach that's throwing you off. Is it a formula for success that's become too formulaic? A set of mistaken beliefs? Fuzzy math? Once you discover it — and you will — then you'll know exactly what to do.
No more chasing rainbows. You've been there, done that, and have yet to find that pot of gold at the end of it. The only thing you have to show for your efforts is a clod of dirt. Yet Jupiter retrograde at the top of your solar chart shows that the real treasure buried deep inside is your undeveloped potential. You have so much going for you if you would only link your talents to your skillset. It would be like hitching the cart to the horse. Focus on making the most of what you have, and you'll get somewhere.
It may feel like you've come full circle only to wind up back where you began, and in a sense this is true. But rather than feeling like you've been engaged in an exercise in futility, it's clear that you have been enriched by this journey. The little girl whose house was snatched up by a cyclone isn't the same child who returns from the land of Oz. She's savvier, kinder, braver and more appreciative of the simple pleasures she took for granted. This is something that will make perfect sense when the sun conjoins retrograde Mercury on Jan. 14.
Don't allow doubts and insecurities to get the better of you while the sun is passing through the most sensitive angle of your horoscope. You're apt to see all of the faults and none of the merits in any given situation, and this could lead you to pick apart plans. You need to believe in what you've set in motion and trust that it will pick up momentum. Trines involving Mercury and Jupiter ensure you'll be hearing back from interested buyers. Unfortunately, it will be in the eleventh hour, but then again, what else do you expect from a retrograde?
The Venus/Uranus trine on Jan. 12 pulls you out of that financial tailspin you were in. You might have been looking for a last-minute bailout, but this will bring something more substantial in the form of a new job, a long-term low-interest loan or a fresh revenue stream. It will be nice to feel like you're back on solid ground. It will also be nice to feel like you've got your mojo back. Venus rules over the power of attraction, and her prominent placement ensures that you will be drawing all kinds of wonderful things into your life.
Thomas and Andy developed a closeness in Season 5. Remember when Thomas intervened during Miss Denker's trip to the gambling clubs, where Andy lost his money? Ever since then, they've seemed to have a good rapport. Now that Andy is working alongside Thomas, the two spend a lot of time together, which is bound to happen when you live and work in the same household together.
Anyways, this particular episode showed Thomas, once again, trying to help Andy around the house and wanting to go on a walk with him. However, Andy continues to turn him down. Thomas' actions could mean several things, but the first thing that crossed my mind was that Thomas likes Andy romantically. Downton is coming to a close, so wouldn't it be nice for Thomas to find a relationship with someone?
There's no doubt he's struggled in that area, especially since during that time, being gay was frowned upon and also considered illegal in 1920s England. Let's not forget that situation between Thomas and Jimmy.
If Thomas isn't attracted to Andy, then there's always the chance that he just wants a friend. Thomas might come off as egotistical, but deep down he has insecurities and is well aware of how others feel about him. Maybe he is trying extra hard to find friendship in Andy?
Furthermore, with Mr. Carson continuing to turn down Thomas' help around the estate, and the widely known fact that the employees at Downton might be fired, isn't helping his situation either. Thomas is the most worried, especially since he believes he will be the first one to be let go. He doesn't really have the best track record.
The possibility of losing his job and feeling unneeded or useless at work also has to be weighing heavily on Thomas. Whether through friendship or romance, Thomas just might be trying to find some comfort with Andy. Times are changing, and I think Thomas is realizing that very quickly. Without Downton, who is he? Where will he go? What will he do? I'm sure those are several questions running through his mind — and probably everyone else at Downton.
If Thomas finds romance, great. If not, that's OK, too. Let's just hope Downton ends with Thomas finding a little bit of happiness and loving himself for who he is. That's all that really matters.
Remember when the Golden Globes tweeted that Gina Rodriguez was announcing the 2016 nominees, only to have to apologize all over themselves because it was really America Ferrera up there onstage? Yeah, it was super uncomfortable and unfortunate, and it happened twice before they caught their mistake.
Well, Ferrera remembered, and she and co-presenter Eva Longoria decided to make sure we got the message that all Latinas are not interchangeable with a super funny skit that had audience members suggesting maybe the new queens of Monday-night comedy should host the Golden Globes next year.
Longoria: "Hi I'm Eva Longoria, not Eva Mendes."
Ferrera: "And hi, I'm America Ferrera, not Gina Rodriguez."
Longoria: "And neither of us are Rosaria Dawson."
Ferrera: "Nope, well said Salma."
Longoria: "Thank you, Charo.”
Talk about making a point in style (plus the ladies looked incredible!). We've got to admit, the two have chemistry!
Drama comes in all shapes and sizes on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Most feuds start with a trivial issue and snowball into something much larger, which certainly seems to be the case for Parks and Burruss. Parks didn't exactly come off as a sympathetic figure when she threw some serious shade in the direction of both Burruss and her husband, Todd Tucker. Never the most popular of the Housewives, she lost a few more fans when she went after the show's cutest couple.
It's been said that you should never mix business with family, but that old expression obviously doesn't apply to Burruss and Tucker, or to Parks and her ex, Apollo Nida. The complicated nature of Parks' business dealings with Nida — who is currently incarcerated on fraud charges — has held up the production of a fitness video that Parks starred in.
According to Parks, the work that Tucker's production company put into the video was unsatisfactory, which is why she refused to pay him for any of the work done. To make matters worse, Parks mocked Tucker for his lack of job opportunities lately, which drew the ire of RHOA viewers who think Parks was way out-of-line with her comments:
Pay up PhaedraTacky Phaedra
Tacky Phaedra
Pay up Phaedra
Shady Phaedra
Shady Phaedra
Under ordinary circumstances, most of the social media hate would be targeted at Nida. However, Parks was just obnoxious enough to make Nida seem like an okay guy. That's quite an accomplishment!
The fact that an old workout video is causing so many issues between Burruss and Parks just goes to show how petty both women can be at times. Burruss attempted to play peacemaker by sending her mother, the affectionately named Mama Joyce, over to Parks's office. Nobody was expecting this to end well, because Mama Joyce tends to escalate issues. Then again, Joyce was dealing with Parks, and not Tucker, of whom she still disapproves.
Surprising enough, Mama Joyce remained cool and collected while discussing the drama with Parks. She cited Burruss' high-risk pregnancy as a prime reason to keep the drama to a minimum. However, knowing Parks, that won't happen.

Dobrev blew out her birthday candles while wearing a cardboard cut-out with the most frequently used emojis: poop and eggplant. She also wore the cardboard to a pole dance.
Dobrev was joined by her boyfriend, Austin Stowell, who dressed up like a panda emoji. Nick Jonas, who was the 100 emoji, partied alongside The Vampire Diaries costar Kat Graham, Julianne Hough, Hailee Steinfeld, Jessica Szohr and Eli Mizrahi. The most popular costumes were smiley faces, poop and eggplant.

"It was a great birthday," a source told E! News exclusively. "Nina was so happy so many of her close friends turned out. It was a big party."
It looks like a lot of people put on their imagination thinking caps to come up with some great costumes. Dobrev's longtime hair stylist, Riawna Capri of Nine Zero One Salon, and some of her team came dressed as girl emojis. Capri is the one with the scissors.

E! News reports that the Carters had the party at a private residence and had fewer than 50 guests. Beyoncé's former bandmate and BFF, Kelly Rowland, attended as well as Coldplay's Chris Martin. No word on whether their children attended the party.
The party sounds like every little 4-year-old girl's dream: a big birthday cake, ice cream and lots of food. Plus there were balloons and an entertainer who used them to make balloon animals. Areas for kids to play with Barbies, Play-Doh and LEGOs were around the party.
The source reports that while the kids played, Beyoncé and Jay Z laughed and were affectionate with each other.
Last year, Beyoncé & Jay Z celebrated Blue Ivy's third birthday with a bash that featured a big silver "3" balloon and an ice sculpture that read, "Happy Birthday Blue."
For their little girl's second birthday, the family flew to Miami and rented out the local zoo.
I think it's adorable that Beyoncé and Jay Z throw such down-to-earth birthday parties for Blue Ivy. It sounds like it was created with Blue Ivy in mind and activities that she'd enjoy with her friends. Fun isn't created by a lot of money, but with love and thoughtfulness.
It may be selfish of me as a Bey-and-Jay fan, but I'd love for them to bring another little Carter into the world. Maybe 2016 will bring all of us fans our wish!
Lady Gaga is anything but subtle, so maybe it makes sense that the internet is riding a wave of intense emotion about her win for best actress for American Horror Story, but seriously — why so much hate?
Maybe it's because she's so polarizing? But as a performer, Gaga has always known how to make a statement, and apparently she has done just that with her performance on American Horror Story: Hotel, convincing the Hollywood Foreign Press Association that she deserved the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Limited Series, Series, or Motion Picture.
But, as some seem to have forgotten, Gaga's not the first musician to win a Golden Globe. Both Madonna and Cher have also walked away with the golden statue (to name just a few fellow divas), so maybe we should all just calm down?
Plus, we thought her acceptance speech was super classy. Not only was she genuinely moved by the win, admitting that she had always wanted to be an actress before she became a singer, but she also thanked each of her AHS co-stars for helping her to "shine."
What about the tea bag — do you leave it out or in? Whatever the case may be for you, the tea-making robot will listen. Unlike your partner, who always forgets to take the teabag out.
The tea-brewing robot is made by Teforia, which is said to revolutionise and customise how we all drink our morning cup.
"It really allows you to customise what kind of tea you make and drink," said Teforia's Kris Efland. He says it gives the drinker a richer, more complex flavour at the touch of a button. Earthy, sweet, savoury — the choice is yours.
"[It] knows what type of tea you're brewing and how to properly brew it, like having a tea master in your home," says Allen Han from Teforia.
Han, who grew up in Taiwan, says most tea drinkers don't know what they're missing out on. They don't even know what a delicious cup of perfectly brewed tea even tastes like. Your taste buds are missing out, guys — that's basically what they're saying.
But it's not as easy as just pouring some hot water over a tea bag. The whole process takes about four minutes and involves adding about a handful of loose tea to the infusion chamber. Once you're ready to go, you simply click the button and the iOS or Android app gets to work.
But, the kitchen robot revolution doesn't just stop there. Oh no. There's also a Segway robot made by Intel that is set to become the household kitchen assistant.
It has voice recognition, which means you can literally tell it what to do, and you can even jump on and ride the thing, making walking around the house absolutely unnecessary.
I can just see myself now. Bossing around my robotic team of homemakers. Because, goodness knows, I don't have much prowess in the kitchen. Maybe with all these handy household makers around, I'll finally be able to convince my partner to eat one of my home-cooked meals. That's what we really need. A cooking robot.
What do you think about using robots to do household chores? Let us know.
DiCaprio was spotted laughing uproariously when Lady Gaga won the Globe for her role in American Horror Story: Hotel, and made an even more ridiculous face when she "accidentally" bumped into his chair on the way up to the podium to accept her award.

Lady Gaga bumps Leonardo DiCaprio at Golden Globes
When asked about the face after he won his own award for his role in The Revenant, he told Entertainment Tonight, "I just didn't know what was passing me — that's all!"
But his explanation does not hold water, according to one insider.
"Leonardo was talking shit about her even before the show started because he did not think she deserved to be nominated," the source told Radar Online. "It got back to her obviously.
"She would have ignored it, but when her name was announced as the winner, Leo was laughing so loud that people far away from his table heard it. He was making a total scene.
"Gaga was not about to let him steal her moment and she wanted to shut him up," the source added. "She sure did."
And Gaga's fiancé, Taylor Kinney, took it up with DiCaprio, too.
Another insider explained, "Taylor was not going to let anyone make fun of his future wife, even if they are an A-list actor. It was her moment to shine and she worked very hard for that award."
"He basically told him in a non-confrontational sort of way that he should apologize to her because it was flat out rude and extremely unprofessional."
Gaga has not commented on the feud, preferring to focus solely on her accomplishment.
The Mad Men star admits that his win was a complete surprise — so much so that he hadn't even thought about an acceptance speech before he got onstage to deliver it.
"It was very unexpected, if it wasn't made painfully obvious by my lack of preparedness and thank you speeching," Hamm told E! News after the awards. "But it was very, very nice to have our name read. It was cool... I literally did not think there was any way I was going to win."
In his speech, Hamm thanked series creator Matthew Weiner, "who wrote this horrible person [Don Draper] all the way through to the end of this incredible ride and picked me to play him."
He also admitted that he had ruled out winning the award, his second Golden Globe for Mad Men, because the awards "traditionally" go to newer shows and actors.
"I thought, 'Well, it's the new guy's year and that'll be great.' And then they said the old guy and I thought, 'Oh, shit. This is going to be bad,'" he said. "Then you're standing in front of literally everybody who's the most famous people in the universe and you have to say something funny and I tried to and I failed. That's when you really want to have a British accent, 'cause everything sounds better."
Were you as surprised as Jon Hamm to see the Mad Men actor take home another Golden Globe for his role as Don Draper? Head down to the comments and let us know what you think.
Welshman Howard Lee’s latest visual illusion has blown the Internet’s mind with his drawing of a hot dog. When placed next to a real, edible hot dog, it’s virtually impossible to tell the difference between them.
The Aberystwyth artist posted a video of the comparison, "Hot Dog Drawing Challenge," to YouTube, demonstrating exactly how his drawing was created. He also shares the secret to which hot dog is real.
There's a good reason diets don't last long and it's not terribly surprising: They suck. You're hungry, you feel deprived and for many of us these feelings can lead to a host of other negative emotions like depression, anger and anxiety. Even with the best intentions to lose weight, it can still set off a cascade of sadness. There's a reason for this, say researchers from the Howard Hughes Medical Center, and it's because the same neurons in your brain responsible for hunger are also the ones that report negative emotions like pain and sadness.
Specifically, this is because AGRP (agouti-related protein-expressing) neurons in your hypothalamus stimulate food-seeking behaviors to eliminate the negative feelings that come when your body starts burning more calories than you're consuming, like we do on a diet. The location of these neurons is key because the hypothalamus controls basic things like eating and sleeping but it's also responsible for mood regulation. Mess with one and you mess with the others! (Perhaps this is why so many of us eat emotionally?)
"Eating feels good and being hungry is uncomfortable," the researchers write (obvious science). But they add that labeling hunger as mere discomfort may be doing us all a disservice. Rather, we should be telling people embarking on a diet to expect a range of negative emotions.
People looking to lose weight will likely be more successful when they do it in ways that don't trigger those neurons, or trigger them less. Severe diet restriction, like crash diets, led to a much stronger negative response from the brain. So while you won't lose weight as quickly, making little food changes may be more helpful in the long run.
In addition, we should expect some feelings of sadness and anger and look for healthy ways to deal with them. Exercise of all types is a great tool for combating the sads. Hanging with friends and family, doing a hobby you love, meditating or reading a good book are all healthy science-backed ways to distract yourself. But be wary of binge-watching TV or surfing the web (especially social media), as studies have shown that those not only increase depression and anxiety but can also make us feel hungrier.
The video, which features popular SBS news host, Chin, in the commercial, is part of an elaborate plan to bring Australians home to eat lamb for Australia Day.
And the ad is pretty fantastic, funny and tongue-in-cheek, but there is one section of the commercial that has peeved off a couple of vegans.
At one point in the ad, a special agent comes marching into a New York apartment and says to the guy sitting on the floor that he's going to be taken home to eat some lamb for Australia Day, but the guy lets the agent know that he's now a vegan.
"Vegans," Chin says, seemingly unimpressed, before the agent torches the guy's table in the middle of his living room.
Clearly, it's a bit of fun and nothing to make a big song and dance about (and I say that with love as a former vegan and vegetarian). Because if vegans can't have a bit of a laugh at themselves and their life choices, then no one can, and that, my friends, is sad for all of us.
Dozens of complaints have reportedly been made by vegans against the commercial, but the Advertising Standards Bureau says the ad didn't go against any of their rules. But the criticism continues on social media.
"It's disconcerting to see an ad actively promoting violence against people peacefully protesting the use of animal products by simply not indulging in them personally," Charlotte says. "It's not that absurd a complaint. It's an absurd and violent ad — but I suppose that's not surprising given that their prime business is murder. Happy Australia Day y'all." Eek.
Matt, who's not a vegan, agrees: "Again. Not vegan. Still think the ad was unfairly making them the butt of the joke," he says. "And actually the ASB said in a statement that of the 50 complaints most were about the level of violence rather than the suggestion vegans were unaustralian."
Thankfully, loads of vegans do have a sense of humour as proven by the comments made on social media.
"I think this ad is brilliant. Obviously I wouldn't eat lamb even if you paid me a million dollars. But c'mon, the ad's hilarious! The part where they burn down the dude's apartment cos he's vegan got me laughin so hard I nearly spilled my soy latte," said this champion vegan, Beniah.
Here's another: "Not every vegan gets their knickers in a knot about something as silly as a lamb advert," says Nathalie. "They constantly make jokes about meat eaters. I think it's all just about how people take these sort of things on a personal level. Some people get offended some people don't."
Meet K9 Killer, a 5-year-old Belgian Malinois who helps fight against illegal rhino poaching. The pooch and his handler, Amos Mzimba, work at Kruger National Park, one of Africa's largest game reserves. They're helicoptered into the park where they find and track armed poachers who are threatening the dwindling rhino populations. It's a scary job and the pup has come face-to-face with some life-threatening situations, including surviving rounds of gunfire from callous hunters. And your dog thought he was courageous for barking up a storm at the sight of the mailman.
K9's bravery has paid off. So far he has helped arrest over 115 poachers with his amazing sense of smell, making him the most successful dog to ever have such a job. His accomplishments even garnered him a visit from royalty. Prince Harry met with K9 on a recent trip to South Africa. Don't you wish your pet did something worthy of regal recognition?
With a record that impressive, Gervais bestowed K9 with the People's Dispensary for Sick Animals (PDSA) Gold Medal, the highest honor an animal can receive from U.K.'s leading veterinary charity.
Check out the video of the award announcement and learn more about the very good dog.
"Shaken, not stirred," reads the caption along with short video of the star sipping from a martini glass. Could this really mean that he's dropping a bombshell of a hint about being the next Bond? People sure do seem to think so.
As if Jackman's short video wasn't a big clue in itself, some social media movie fiends have pointed out that the video goes for seven seconds, 0:07 seconds to be exact. 007! My goodness, it must be true.
Last year, the Aussie favourite told news program The Project that he had been offered the role as Bond before, but it just didn't fit with his schedule. Pierce Brosnan landed the job instead.
"Ah, I don't think [it was] the right time," Jackman said in the interview. "But it was not an easy one to give up."
Could this really mean he's finally landed the role? Let's hope so.
I'm not the only one who thinks Jackman would make a truly delectable James Bond, but let's count the ways he'd be perfect for it anyway.
Just yesterday a two-year-old boy was taken to hospital after almost drowning in a background pool. An hour earlier, a three-year-old in an unrelated incident died after drowning in a swimming pool.
Most of the drowning deaths in Australia occur on inland waterways while swimming and having what was supposed to be a fun day out.
And men drown at a rate that is alarmingly greater than women. Last year 80 per cent of the victims of drowning were men.
However, as the Royal Life Saving Drowning Report states, the rate of women drowning has increased for the second year in a row.
The spike in drowning deaths has recently led some to question whether people are remaining on high alert regarding pool safety and being vigilant with children around water.
Pejman Talebi, a swim teacher and manager at swimming school Aquatic Achievers, says that perhaps people are becoming more desensitised to the dangers around pools and waterways.
“No matter how good a swimmer you are, if you don’t know what the situation is like where you’re swimming and you choose to ignore the hazards and dangers surrounding you then you run the risk of drowning,” he says, adding that it's not just the backyard pool that people should be wary of.
Talebi suggests people become extra vigilant about the following hazards and dangers in waterways, too:
Slippery rocks

Because the element of danger changes so much at each age group, Talebi says there are particular things to keep in mind, regardless of what your age or situation in the water.
“The lack of adult supervision is one of the main contributing factors leading to pool drowning rates of children up to the age of four,” Talebi says.
“For children between the ages of five to 14, then not knowing how to swim and, again, the lack of supervision would be one of the main reasons for drowning to occur."
Teenagers and young adults drowning in waterways, on the other hand, usually occurs because “the person doesn’t know about the surrounding hazards in the environment and doesn't take enough care and precaution as a result,” he says.
How can we ensure both adults and children are safe in the water?
“Definitely do your homework before you go or take your kids and family near any body of water. The more you know and inform others about the do’s and don’ts in the water, the safer you will become,” Talebi says.
“Also, it’s incredibly important to learn how to swim and teach your little ones, too. Learning how to swim will not make you or your children drown-proof, but it will increase your and their chances of survival in case of an incident.”

It seems Bobby and Rufus will appear via flashback during Episode 16. "[Dean and Sam] are going to be investigating an old case that was once investigated by Bobby and Rufus," executive producer Jeremy Carver revealed. Said case will also take place during the Season 5 timeline. "There’s a lot of great throwbacks to things that happened [in the fifth season]," he said. Per Carver, viewers will see "the wonderful relationship between Bobby and Rufus. That’s going to be a really neat episode."
