Once Upon a Time: Is Nimue the original Dark One?

More: Once Upon a Time: 13 Actors perfect to play the show's new dapper devil

Thanks to Henry being the author and having a special connection with Merlin, he was able to use the Crimson Crown and communicate with him via a message (or as Regina called it "Merlin's voicemail") the powerful sorcerer left. According to Merlin, if they want to destroy the darkness, they must find Nimue. Huh? Who? Now that Emma possesses Excalibur, Snow, Charming, Hook and Regina better hurry in finding this mysterious Nimue. If not, Emma might just snuff out all of the light for good.

Based on next week's episode promo, which is titled "Nimue," in order for Emma to forge Excalibur and the Dark One's dagger she will have to summon "the darkest force of all." So, is that Nimue? If so, does this mean Nimue is the original Dark One?

Nimue might be the original Dark One

As usual, OUAT fans are throwing out all kinds of theories about Nimue. They believe there's no doubt they will finally meet the OG Dark One. However, if Nimue isn't the original force of the darkness, then maybe Nimue is tied to the Lady of the Lake? According to several Disney Wikipedia pages, there is someone named Lady Nimue of the Lake, who also happens to be a villainess determined to take over Camelot. If that isn't enough, Nimue (sometimes spelled Nimueh), is also known to be a character who had her eyes set on destroying Merlin and King Arthur.

Moreover, there are some fans who think Nimue is not only the original Dark One, but the love Merlin once lost. Never say never when it comes to OUAT. For those who don't recall, during Season 5's "Dreamcatcher" episode, it was revealed that Merlin faced off against a masked Dark One and accused the villain of destroying "the only woman I ever loved." That could easily translate to: Merlin's former love succumbed to the darkness and became the Dark One.

Nimue might be the original Dark One #2

Nimue might be the original Dark One #2

Whoever and whatever Nimue is, let's hope he/she/it can save Storybrooke and Emma from total darkness.

Once Upon a Time airs Sundays at 8/7c on ABC.

ARIES (March 20-April 19)

Mars and Venus conjunctions in Virgo are kind of like Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew. Feisty and combative, they tend to be more petulant than romantic. You may find yourself drawn to someone who's just as prickly, peevish and argumentative as you are. Yet underneath the bristling exchange you can tell you're simpatico. In fact, you may be so in sync that loved ones and friends may be afraid that you'd bring out the worst in each other. Actually, your two energies will do a lot to complement and assuage each other so that all's well that ends well.

Most waking hours are spent at the office so it makes perfect sense to look for romance at work. Yet this can be a dicey proposition because what if things don't work out? You'd have to see him every day until one of you moves on. It's why they say you should never sleep in the cubicle where you work. Nevertheless the Venus/Mars conjunction on Nov. 2 shows you and a certain co-worker moving into a tighter orbit. You may think he's assertive and knows what he wants but he's actually waiting for you to make the first move.

Don't try appeasing loved ones this week. Nothing will sit right with them and they'll only pick apart everything you do. Now you might feel like giving them a piece of your mind (especially on Nov. 5), but don't. That's like pouring gasoline on the fire. Try being accommodating, compassionate and sympathetic instead. This will quell their irascibility and soften their mood. It won't make them see the error of their ways but it will send them in search of easier prey because it will be abundantly clear that they can't get a rise out of you.

For all of our talk of free choice, love is fairly predictable. Like will always be attracted to like which means that it's temperament more than looks and status that seals the deal. Some people are drawn to light and breezy exchanges while others seek passion and intensity. You look for belonging. You need to know that you have a soulful connection with your mate — even if that person's a lost soul. The sun/Pluto sextile on Nov. 5 shows you finding what you're looking for. Tough love is always toughest on the loving. You know that you should cut off a loved one who's abused your trust. You know that you should remove all comfort and support until he or she cleans up their act, but you aren't built like that. You've never been a disinterested bystander. It may feel like you're enabling an untenable situation, but sometimes standing by those in need really is the right thing to do. Your ruling planet is the sun. Virgo women say they want freedom and independence, but are often too afraid to pursue it. You're afraid that if you become too self-sufficient then no man will want you. It's why you'll play dumb, downplay your talents and accommodate them even when you don't feel like it. You don't want to scare guys away. The end result is that you wind up waiting on guys hand and foot. The way out of this dilemma is to just be you. That way you'll attract someone who's an equal partner rather than an unholy bore with an overinflated sense of self-importance.

25 Things only people parenting toddlers understand

0
0

But have you ever wondered why it's so hard to parent your crazy tiny person anyway? Here's why.

1. So much weight. Your right arm makes you look like you do CrossFit.

Image: Giphy

2. The backseat of your car has a new meaning. And that meaning is, "How long has this bottle of curdled milk been stuffed under the car seat?"

3. Flavor is a fickle thing. Just yesterday, your kid loved Goldfish and apples. Today, he or she is furious that you would ever suggest a lowly apple for a snack.

4. The hilarious statements. The complete randomness of the words that come out of your child's mouth is nothing short of delightful.

5. Grocery shopping is a nightmare. So much flailing. So much knocking items off shelves. So much "helping."

Image: Giphy

6. The joy of terrible gift-giving. Your toddler doesn't yet know how to give good gifts, but that's totally OK. Your refrigerator is covered with finger paint artwork and you have a painted rock on your desk. You couldn't be happier.

7. Diapers are a war zone. How can one tiny human being create such an explosion of waste? And from Goldfish?

8. But so is potty training. When potty training begins, you'll become familiar with the concept of retaliative pooping. It's not pleasant.

9. No more napping. Back in the baby months, naps were sprinkled throughout the day for built-in breaks. With a toddler? Breaks are no more.

10. No more guesswork. Sure, you may feel like you're on your toes all the time. But it certainly isn't because you're not sure what your child wants. He or she is able to effectively communicate specific needs for the first time and that's a huge parenting relief.

11. The volatility. The emotional swings of your little toddler will make you feel like hiding under a desk and rocking back and forth.

Image: Giphy

12. The exhaustion. Before children, you thought that the exhaustion would diminish after infancy. No. With a toddler, you understand that you're now dealing with 1-3 years of cumulative sleep deprivation. It's a whole different ball game.

13. The defiance. When did your sweet pumpkin turn into a willful person? You're living with a defiant dictator.

Image: Giphy

14. Their ability to toddle. It means they can come find you.

15. Bedtime routines. If by "bedtime routine" you mean "two hours of nightly battle," then yes. Bedtime routines are well-established by the toddler years.

16. A return to childhood. Finally. Finally, it's acceptable to roll down the hill at the park again. Or swing or slide. The entry into the toddler years signifies a reentry to your own childhood.

17. The vocal strength of a screaming banshee. Oh, good gracious — how can small lungs make so much sound?

Image: Giphy

18. Their ability to charm your allies. No one believes you when you tell the stories. No one. Your toddler is just too sweet to pose any challenges.

19. Those cartoons. Entertainment is lacking. And now that your toddler isn't a sleepy baby anymore, you feel weird watching Game of Thrones while he or she is in the room.

20. The backsliding. Just when you think you've figured out potty training or bedtime, your toddler will laugh in your face and backslide. It's all a ruse to mess with you.

21. Tantrums. Homegirl can cause serious bodily injury when she loses her mind.

Image: Giphy

22. The return to a normal purse. Now that your kid is a toddler, you no longer have to carry seven purses and a diaper bag to go somewhere. With your child's growing independence comes a return to your own independence from all that gear. No more scoliosis from giant bags!

23. Commentary. As soon as your little one can talk, he or she will mortify you in public. Get used to hanging your head in shame when your toddler makes comments about the features of strangers at the mall.

24. Their ability to triangulate. A toddler's day isn't complete until you and your partner turn against one another.

25. The existentialism of it all. At least 10 times a day, you will ask, "Didn't I just clean that? Didn't I just say that? Didn't we just do a time-out about this?"

Don't worry, Mom. The toddler years pass quickly — and then you'll move on to preschool challenges.

RHOC cast and fans think Vicki is still stuck on Brooks

Gunvalson and Ayers may no longer be an item, but if her behavior during the reunion is any indication, the two will be back together sooner rather than later. This is by no means the first time they've split, but for whatever reason, they always manage to find their way back to each other. According to the haters on Twitter, Gunvalson and Ayers are equally despicable, and thus, perfect for one another. If their predictions are correct, it's only a matter of time before Gunvalson announces that she has once again accepted Ayers back into her life.

More: Brooks Ayers takes drastic measure to clear his name

The ladies of RHOC certainly seem to think that Gunvalson and Ayers are destined to be together, even in spite of all the family and cast drama with which they've dealt these past few months. Near the end of the reunion, Andy Cohen asked the other gals whether they predicted a return to the relationship status quo for Gunvalson and Ayers, and not a single cast member voiced her opposition to this idea.

More: Brooks Ayers makes rude comments about ex Vicki Gunvalson's daughter

The majority of the RHOC fans on Twitter chimed in with the cast members while discussing the prospect of an Ayers and Gunvalson reconciliation. A few went so far as to claim that Ayers and Gunvalson had never bothered to break up in the first place, but rather, had lied to the media and their friends about the status of their relationship.

Gunvalson claims that she's doing just fine on her own, but she's not exactly one to stay single for long. She even admitted to her inability to remain single during a previous reunion segment. If she really is finished with Ayers, she'll likely wind up in another toxic relationship before long, although the new guy is not likely to be as universally hated as Ayers. RHOC is sadly finished for now, so fans will have to keep an eye out on Gunvalson's social media pages to determine whether a new relationship is on the horizon.

Sister Wives fans creeped out by behavior at adoption celebration

More: Sister Wives fans distracted by Meri Brown's catfishing details

Kody Robyn kids
Image: TLC

Last week, we saw what many viewers hoped would be the end of the Kody/Robyn adoption saga when a judge formally finalized it. However, because apparently this season's drama depends on the whole thing being dragged out as long as possible, Sunday's episode included an adoption party to celebrate Robyn's kids becoming Browns. The planning for the event featured a lot of bickering among Kody and the wives about food. "No drumsticks and no wings," Christine said to Kody. "Are you crying inside?" (Heh.) There was also a presentation of gifts -- a watch for Kody (engraved with "Daddy") and a necklace for Meri with three diamonds. According to the kids, the diamonds represent each of them, as well as the past, present and future. Robyn's gift to Kody, a portrait she commissioned of him with her three children, had fans weirded out, to say the least.

More: New Sister Wives revelation explains so much about Janelle and Meri

Sister Wives fans are pretty burnt out on Robyn by now (although you could argue convincingly that they have been since she first appeared on the scene), so it's not really surprisingly that they're lining up to mock the painting. It wasn't just Robyn's weird gift, her crying, and what viewers suspect was her coaxing Aurora into telling Kody she loved him that was annoying this week, though. Kody's behavior at the adoption party was also cringe-worthy. He gave the kids plaques welcoming them into the family, and also blessed them...by giving them their own names? Confused? Twitter was also.

Although the adoption has been solidified and celebrated, there are other questions to be answered. Will Kody divorce Robyn and remarry Meri? (Or, as one fan suggested, divorce Robyn and marry Christine?) Or will the arrangement stay in tact, giving both the show's viewers and the Internet all the more reason to think Robyn is Kody's favorite? It's pretty clear that Meri's still miserable, overwhelmed by the drama with her health, and her relationship with Janelle. The previews for next week's episode hint at cracks in Meri's stoic veneer, so maybe we are about to see a shift. After all, there couldn't possibly be anything else to say about the adoption...right?

Quantico: Now that we saw Caleb's heart break, can we take him off our suspect list?

0
0

Or, more accurately, two someone elses.

More: Quantico: Why Simon could still totally be the terrorist

Caleb Haas has been a suspect in Quantico's Grand Central bombing from the beginning. His cocky, self-sure attitude and ultra-competitive streak weren't winning any thumbs up from us, and the way he treated Shelby and the rest of his fellow recruits wasn't winning him any fans among peers either.

But then he and Shelby started flirting... and making out... and getting freaky with each other... and then, well, we got to see a softer side of him that made us kind of hope he wasn't quite the douchebag he seemed to be. Well, tonight, we got exactly that when it came to light that Shelby is cheating on Caleb with his own father.

Ewww!

Also, talk about daddy issues.

More: 4 Women who dealt with the temptation to cheat and how they handled it

Of course, it's also interesting that Caleb's dad is Deputy Director Clayton, the man a few pay grades above agent O'Conner. Is it possible that Clayton is somehow involved in the smear campaign against Parish, or is he just doing his job?

Speaking of Parish, she's assembling quite the Quantico grad team! With Booth, Asher, and now Shelby Wyatt helping her from the inside, she has access to everything the FBI has access to... which is why she's probably going to get the jump on connecting with Nimah and her twin sister, Raina, next week.

We told you our suspect list moved one step forward and two steps back.

Nimah and her sister Amin haven't been on our list because, quite frankly, the idea that the show's creators would be be so uncreative as to put a Muslim terrorist at the center of the bombing plot seems like crazy talk. But it is awfully suspicious that Caleb discovered one of them on the Grand Central footage two days prior to the explosion.

And we got to see a pretty devilish look on Raina's face after she stuffed Simon in the closet for discovering the sisters' secret.

Quantico Simon in closet tweet

Quantico Simon in closet tweet

I'm sure Parish will get to the bottom of their involvement next week... as long as super-annoying agent Natalie doesn't blow everyone's cover first! What Booth sees in Natalie, I can't imagine, but I've got to admit that she's a formidable opponent for Parish.

Tonight's episode ended with her reporting Booth's connection with Parish to O'Connor, so we're pretty sure the two women are going to have to square off again at some point, and when that happens, maybe Parish will be able to forgive Booth and squeeze in a few more amazing make-out sessions with him while running for her life.

More: 7 Times the Supergirl premiere set up Alex to be Kara's biggest enemy

In the meantime, our suspect list is still too long for us to know exactly who to blame—but O'Connor sure continues to look the guiltiest, so we're keeping him at the top!

The Walking Dead: 7 Ways tonight's Morgan episode hints at Glenn's survival

0
0

Hey, Morgan is a fantastic character. Not to mention that Lenny James, who brings the character to life, deserves a veritable Emmy for the performance he turned out tonight.

More: The Walking Dead's Glenn just bit the dust — or did he?

Having said that, this extended flashback episode would likely have been far better received had it not been following in the footsteps of the cliffhanger to end all cliffhangers — finding out whether Glenn really was disemboweled by a throng of bloodthirsty walkers last week. See also: Rick is still stranded in the camper with a wounded hand, y'all. How are we supposed to last another seven days without answers?

But perhaps tonight's Morgan-centric episode revealed more than the identity of the mysterious cheesemaker Morgan once referenced. Here are seven ways I'm pretty convinced this week's episode was actually suggesting that Glenn will live on (at least for the meantime).

More: The Walking Dead leaked trailer revealed 7 storylines for Season 6 (VIDEO)

1. Steven Yeun wasn't in the opening credits.

OK, so I understand this might seem to contradict Glenn's livelihood — doesn't removing Steven Yeun's name from the opening credits simply prove he is/will no longer be a main character on the show? Nah. It seems more likely to me that they are simply trying to throw us off the scent. They have to keep up appearances if they have any hope of getting anyone to give up hope that Glenn is still alive. But would they really make a move like this that seemingly confirms his death before alluding to his fate on the show in any way, shape or form? Not likely.

2. There has to be a solid reason for this huge Morgan arc.

TWD Morgan
Image: Gene Page/AMC

Generally, when TWD gives us some majorly meaty backstory on a character, it's because something huge is about to happen in the character's storyline that affects the original characters. Seeing what Morgan has come through to get to the place he is now makes it seem as though he is poised for a defining moment — could that moment possibly come in the form of saving Glenn? In an interview with THR, showrunner Scott M. Gimple said, "Everything that has been going on this season... everything is part of a great story for these characters. Everything."

3. Much like Eastman, this episode was all about redirecting.

A huge part of Eastman's, aka the cheesemaker's, teachings to Morgan is mastering redirection — diverting the brain's energy from one focus to another. C'mon! What was tonight's episode for if not to distract us from Glenn's life hanging in the balance for a bit? Just as I suspect they were attempting to pull off with the opening credits, TWD is trying to keep us from guessing or dwelling on Glenn's fate.

4. It reminded us all that life is precious.

Admittedly, Eastman teaching Morgan that all life is precious could allude to the fact that Glenn isn't the only important character on the show — despite the fact that the Twitterverse is ready to pillage villages in the name of bringing him back. However, I'm choosing to look at it from the perspective of Morgan finally realizing what Eastman explained to him in that cabin: That, in the end, life is all about the people around you. And, uh, sometimes those people need to be rescued.

5. Two more characters (and likable ones, at that) were killed off.

Yes, I am absolutely referring to Tabitha the goat as a likable character. Let's be real — it gutted all of us when she was, well, gutted by a walker. So would they, I ask, get us emotionally invested in both Eastman and a goat (a goat, for goodness' sake... these writers are genius psychological manipulators) and have us suffer through those losses, only to bring us back next week and drive home Glenn's death? Surely not.

6. There are several parallels being drawn between Morgan and Glenn.

TWD Glenn
Image: Gene Page/AMC

Glenn is in the situation he's in based on a decision he made at the end of last season to give Nicholas a second chance. Near the end of tonight's episode, we see that Morgan is at a similar crossroads with a Wolf. But we also know that Eastman was a man who brought peace to Morgan when he needed it most — in more ways than one, he saved Morgan's life. There has to be something buried in those crosshairs, right? Morgan is obviously laboring under a lost cause with the Wolf, but he can still save Glenn when Glenn most needs it. Perhaps Morgan will become something of an Eastman to Glenn.

7. Back in the present, Morgan runs off to rescue someone.

Admittedly, it sounds as though Rick is the one screaming to open Alexandria's gates. However, I still contend that Morgan could very well be the one to save Glenn's life. So even if it isn't Glenn at the gates, maybe Rick has somehow rescued Glenn and they are now in trouble just beyond the safety of Alexandria. Do I sound desperate yet? It's because I am. I need Glenn to live, you guys.

Blood and Oil: Why Don Johnson rules the show

0

The recent response to Don Johnson, who has returned to TV as oil tycoon Hap Briggs, has been overwhelming.

More: Every 2015 fall TV premiere worth seeing on one calendar

"I enjoy the show and especially trying to figure out all of the characters' motivations and what they're going to do next," one fan commented on our recent article explaining why Blood and Oil shouldn't be canceled. "The other characters (besides Hap) are great, too, but Hap is the epicenter and Don excels in giving him dimension. He is more than a scheming wildcatter!"

And it definitely isn't just Johnson's timeless good looks that have fans swooning, though they definitely don't hurt.

Johnson as Briggs is so deliciously bad it's brilliant. If anyone is carrying the plot twists and complex character motivations, it's Briggs. One minute, he's paying for Cody's medical bills, but you better believe by the next episode, he'll be back to manipulating Billy for all he's worth.

More: Blood & Oil lies that are going to get complicated

Briggs' relationship with Jules is also sinfully complicated. Of course, I totally feel bad for Wick. Mostly because Briggs' relationship with a much younger mistress, who is also sleeping with his son, definitely gives me the creeps. But that's a Sunday night soap for you. And there is no denying that Jules and Briggs have some serious chemistry.

One thing is for sure: The show is absolutely not allowed to be canceled before we know who Jules will eventually settle down with. I just don't see how she can end up with either at this point. Can you even imagine what she and Wick would tell their children about grandpa?

Also, I know Jules and Briggs have quite the fan base rooting for them, but I just don't trust Briggs enough. He is ruthless enough to toss Jules aside at any minute. At least Darla, for all her faults, knows how to handle him.

It isn't just the relationships on the show that Briggs is juggling — he's also fueling all the drama in the oil business. Though this is an area, admittedly, that I'm hoping to see more of in the coming episodes. The show has been focusing on a lot of relationship drama, but I would love to see the business drama come back into play in a big way. Rather than talking about drilling, let's see some oil action like we got in the premiere.

More: Blood and Oil's villainous Wick is actually worth rooting for

It's time for Briggs to get his hands dirty in the literal sense, since he's already got the metaphorical down perfectly.

More fans took to Twitter to show their support of Johnson and Blood and Oil.

"My absolute favourite performance was for 'Most Memorable Year,' which was the dance I did for my dad," she told Wilkinson, adding, "That night was special just because it meant so much to me and to all of us [her family], because it was for dad."

But Irwin proved she is wise beyond her years, as she spoke about the relationship between grief and happiness — and her comments are truly inspiring.

After her performance, Irwin broke down and started crying, but she was happy to be able to share her raw emotion with the world.

"I think what was great was that I was able to just pour light in on that spot and let the emotion out and share it with everyone else," she explained. "And it's OK to take the grief journey and it is OK to feel that emotion, but what is important — it is about picking yourself up afterwards and remembering you can be happy afterwards."

And what would Irwin think of his little girl dancing her heart out? Bindi "hopes he'd be proud."

She continued, "Everything that I do in life is to make him proud, and to make sure everything that he worked so hard for carries on."

Irwin is definitely in the running to win the mirror ball trophy, and I, for one, would love to see her be victorious.

Dance Moms' Abby Lee Miller responds to $5 million fraud case

Miller, the controversial star of the hit reality show Dance Moms, pleaded not guilty to bankruptcy fraud during a short arraignment in a Pittsburgh federal courthouse after paying a $10,000 bond. She was indicted on 20 counts of bankruptcy fraud, concealment of bankruptcy assets and false bankruptcy declarations, and could face prison time and $5 million in fines. Her legal team also submitted a request for an additional 45 days to submit pre-trial motions because they claim they have not received necessary documents from the prosecution.

“By the time of the filing of this Motion, Ms. Miller had not received any material from the Government,” the motion for extension claims.

More: Dance Moms' Abby Lee Miller's reported bankruptcy fraud could land her in jail

In addition to other transgressions, the feds are accusing Miller of hiding over $755,000 in earnings from Dance Moms by having payments made to her mother instead of her after filing for bankruptcy in 2010.

"Fraud and dishonesty in bankruptcy proceedings undermines the integrity of these important proceedings and especially hurts the creditors and American taxpayers," said Internal Revenue Service Criminal Investigation special agent in charge Akeia Conner in a statement about the case. "Concealing assets from the court and not paying taxes is a gross violation of civic duty, and IRS Criminal Investigation will work diligently with our law enforcement partners to pursue those who do so."

Upon entering the courthouse, when Miller was asked by waiting press if she took the charges seriously, she said, "Yes." But it sure didn't sound like like it when she later added, "I didn't have my hair done," she told reporters. "Season 6 jackets are on sale on the website Wednesday."

If convicted, she faces up to five years in federal prison and a fine of $250,000 for each count, totaling $5 million.

Baby emu playing with a dog is the most hilariously cute thing (VIDEO)

More: Couple have an unusual but very special pet (VIDEO)

The video, which was uploaded by the TITANVORTEX channel, shows the baby flightless bird (the emu happens to be the second-largest living bird in the world by height, beaten only by the ostrich) running after an old black dog.

The pair are clearly good friends, and in the video you can see the sweet pooch's tail wagging excitedly as it runs away from the baby emu. But if that baby emu wanted to catch the dog, it sure could, because according to the San Diego Zoo, emus can travel long distances at a fast trot, and can even reach up to 48 kilometres an hour when sprinting.

More: Rare cat-dog hybrid that looks like a werewolf is actually kind of cute

Another notable moment in the video is when the emu takes a liking to a bright pink balloon, but the best part is when it starts rolling on the floor. Awww.

Baby emu playing with dog video

It's not every day we see a video of one of these native Australian birds — although they are common in mainland Australia — let alone one playing, so this is really quite a rare find.

And judging by the comments on the post, people are just as thrilled to have stumbled across this clip as we are (but no one is as thrilled as the baby laughing in the background of the video). Comments include, "What a wonderful way to start my morning!!", "Dog is so cute, doesn't know what to do" and "Oh I see its tiny useless wings! Wow. It's so cute and crazy!" — we totally agree!

Brooks Ayers drops bombshell about fake cancer diagnosis (VIDEO)

In an exclusive interview with E! News, Ayers sat down the day after The Real Housewives of Orange County wrapped up its intense three-part reunion. During the reunion shows, Vicki Gunvalson, Ayers’ ex-girlfriend, shocked fans — and certainly Ayers himself — when she told host Andy Cohen, "My gut says he doesn’t have [cancer]."

More: Vicki Gunvalson tell fans she wants Meghan Edmonds off the show (PHOTO)

When asked about her statements, Ayers claimed that Gunvalson has, since the show, changed her mind about his health prognosis. When the interviewer, Melanie Bromley, asked him if Gunvalson felt duped, Ayers responded, "She said no, she didn’t feel like she’s been duped — and, secondly, she does now believe that I have cancer."

More: Despite his infidelity, Shannon Beador trusts her husband "100 percent"

Ayers claimed that Gunvalson told him this after the pair had been texting following the reunion shows. When prodded about why Gunvalson had so quickly changed her mind, he said, “You have to ask her. I don’t know why. I don’t know why somebody would change their mind as many times as she does.”

Then, in what might be the most shocking part of the interview, Ayers clarified that he "misspoke" when he perviously stated he went from stage 3 to stage 2 cancer.

More: RHOC cast and fans think Vicki is still stuck on Brooks

He explained, “I was trying to communicate that my numbers were improving, as a lay person, trying to communicate, and I’m not a physician. It doesn’t decline in stage, so I totally misspoke about that.”

The entire interview will air on Nov. 12 on Bravo.

Do you believe Ayers when he says that Gunvalson changed her mind and that he "misspoke" about his current medical status?

9 Statement earrings that make any simple outfit look more fancy

0
0

It's been a while since big, bold, beautiful earrings enjoyed the spotlight they deserve. In many ways, this is totally understandable because the classic statement necklace is an overall easier accessory to digest, particularly when dressing for work or a daytime event.

But that's one of the biggest misconceptions about big earrings. Paired with a simple sweater, jeans and heels, they immediately elevate your look and make it seem like you put in the effort, despite the comfy reality of your ensemble. Having a bad hair day? Pull your mane back into a chic low ponytail and let sparkly, colorful earrings take the place of a blowout.

Several designers sent models down their Fall 2015 runways wearing shoulder-grazing earrings and the cool trend shows no signs of slowing down for Spring 2016, where runway statement earrings got even funkier and more elaborate. Here are nine gorgeous earrings that will get you excited to jump on board this trend.

1. Colourful Crystal Earcuff

Zara earrings

This dangling floral design from Zara ($16) pops with intense color but deviates from tradition by also wrapping itself around your ear to give you a more edgy twist. Love the idea of pairing these with a minimalist black turtleneck (as shown here) and slacks to allow the bold hues to take center stage.

2. Hazel Cox Little Rock Fan Earrings

How cool are these bronze and silk earrings by designer Hazel Cox? They're exotic, available in three stunning hues including bronze and white and just dainty enough to be worn at your Monday morning meeting (Bell Jar, $146).

3. Luna Sol Marana Earrings

There's something otherworldly about these geometric hand stamped and oxidized brass earrings, which feature a unique hand-dyed linen cord. These would look amazing with a winter white shell top or flare jeans and a chambray shirt (Bell Jar, $92).

4. BurnedinBrooklyn Handcrafted Wooded 'Sky Scraper' Earrings

Consider yourself a city girl at heart? These handmade beauties, which are crafted in Brooklyn using birch wood and gold, are a tribute to the architectural gems that make cities so great. Your LBD will get a major boost from these drop earrings — and the best part is that each pair is burned by hand, so you can be sure you've got an original piece of wearable art (BurnedinBrooklyn, $62).

If you're the type of fashionista who is over trends before they begin, these tribal-inspired earrings are tailor made for you (Etsy, $39).

6. Abstract Faces

Feeling artsy? These silvertone clay dangle earrings are as pretty as a Picasso — and will probably inspire perfect strangers to stop you on the street and ask you where you got them (Etsy, $22).

7. Tribal Crescent Moon Earrings

Bored with traditional hoop earrings but still dig their shape? These copper and gold half moon earrings feature a raw amethyst, which is thought by some to be a spiritual stone that can center and ground you — which is a pretty sweet added bonus (Etsy, $60).

Photographer recreates couple's wedding to give them the photos they never had

That being said, I totally feel for this bride who, minutes before she walked down the aisle, learned that her wedding photographer was a no-show. Needless to say, bride Heather Koehler was saddened by this news, but she tried her hardest not to let it ruin her big day.

MoreEmotional dad stops daughter's wedding to give her stepdad the spotlight

According to Koehler, the photographer said she had told him the wrong weekend date for the wedding. Regardless of the reason or whose fault it was, it was a very disappointing thing with which to be faced on a day that's supposed to be about enjoying and remembering wonderful moments.

"It was in the back of my mind all night though, not having professional pictures of Matt and I's first dance, or the daddy-daughter dance, or the ceremony," Koehler told BuzzFeed.

However, little did they know, they had a wedding guest who was related to a photographer fairy godmother. Dana Gruszynski is a professional photographer in Michigan, and after hearing about the unfortunate circumstances that befell this bride and groom, she had to do something to help. So she decided to give them a bridal shoot complete with set design, cake and flowers, free of charge.

Gruszynski told SheKnows, "Being able to do this for Matt and Heather was incredible. This couple is beautiful inside and out, and with my passion behind the camera, I knew I had to share that with them since they didn't get that on their wedding day."

This incredible woman went on a mission for the next three weeks to find a backyard that looked like the couple's wedding venue, make decorations and find a florist willing to donate flowers. She even got the bride's sister-in-law to recreate the wedding cake for the shoot. Once everything was set up, the shoot took about an hour and a half to complete.

The best part is the couple had no idea she had recreated all this for them. So on the day of the shoot, she invited them into the backyard and revealed the sweet surprise. Naturally, they were quite overcome with emotion and gratitude.

Heather and Matt finally got to have their first dance professionally captured.

There were many other wonderful moments expertly caught on film that day by Gruszynski, and the couple couldn't have been happier. "All the work she put into it and how great it turned out was awesome," said Koehler. "It's something I will never forget. The pictures turned out perfect."

New Netflix and Shomi arrivals that will appeal to your teenage self

More: Gilmore Girls: 6 Things we know so far about the revival

Remember the slumber parties, the popcorn and the pampering sessions with your friends? When you sang along loudly (and terribly) to Backstreet Boys songs and watched Friends and Lizzie McGuire on repeat? We do, and this November Shomi and Netflix have some new releases that have made us conjure up all those good memories — even though some of these titles aren't exactly critically acclaimed.

1. Hope Floats

Hope Floats may just be one of those movies where you disagree with the critics, because Sandra Bullock is impossible not to love, and we get to see her in one of her earlier roles. She stars as a woman whose husband cheated on her with her best friend. Hope Floats was available on Shomi from Nov. 1.

What else can you expect to bring back the nostalgia?

Some of the other movies we're definitely looking forward to seeing again, include these six:

2. 9 to 5

9 to 5 (Shomi, Nov. 11), stars Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin and Dolly Parton who all work for a real pig of a man and decide to teach him a lesson or two. This certainly deserves a re-watch if you haven't seen it (especially if you haven't seen it more than 10 times already).

3. The Sixth Sense

Bruce Willis and Haley Joel Osment star in this creepy supernatural thriller by M. Night Shyamalan. The Sixth Sense (Netflix, Nov. 1) follows a child who sees ghosts who don't know that they're dead, and a child psychologist with some of his own demons. This is one of the greatest movies from the '90s and will haunt you for days after watching — I clearly remember not being able to sleep after watching it as a teen.

More: New Netflix equation creepily knows when you'll fall in love with a series

4. Dirty Dancing

Dirty Dancing (Shomi, Nov. 6), is a tale about a young woman's escapades in the summer before she goes to college. Needless to say, the music is timeless and the late Patrick Swayze was super hot in this chick flick classic.

5. When Harry Met Sally...

When Harry Met Sally... (Shomi, Nov. 15), with Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan brings back memories of youth aplenty. The story sees Harry (Crystal) and Sally (Ryan) meet and discuss whether a man and a woman can ever be truly platonic friends. They part ways on poor terms, only to meet again several times, always going back to their initial discussion topic. Comedy gold.

6. But I'm a Cheerleader

But I'm a Cheerleader (Shomi, Nov. 20), is all about a cheerleader whose parents think she's a lesbian and send her to a homosexual deprogramming camp. This is a surprisingly funny and witty movie, which will have you in fits of laughter many times over.

7. Rumor Has It

Rumor Has It (Shomi, Nov. 20) — an all-star cast of Jennifer Aniston, Mark Ruffalo (major crush alert), Kevin Costner, Shirley MacLaine, Mena Suvari and Richard Jenkins makes for an enjoyable comedy-drama from Rob Reiner.

Whether you're shocked at the kind of movies you used to enjoy watching, or impressed by your taste in movies after all these years, either way, we're sure it'll be a pleasant trip down memory lane.

8 Ways your kid is definitely smarter than you

0
0

And it's not that we're not intelligent. Actually, if you're anything like me, you like to assume your child gets his or her inordinately large brain from you. But there are some ways kids today simply have the upper hand in matters of mental acuity. Just don't tell the tiny little humans in my household I said so — I'd like to at least feign maintaining the balance of power a little longer.

1. They never forget anything

This is both an advantage and a disadvantage to a parent. On the downside, they inexplicably never forget those things you sometimes say when trying to convince your kids to go along with something. You know the type: "But, Mom, you said..." On the plus side, they never forget birthday parties, playdates and where in the heck you parked your car. My kid's memory has saved many a trip to the grocery store or mall from me roaming the lanes clicking my car horn.

2. Have you tried to help with their homework?

I kid you not; sometimes I legitimately wonder if I should go back to school. No, not graduate school or any sort of higher education, but grade school. These spirals of self-doubt are typically preceded by a small child asking me to help them with their homework. Homework that to me is so complex and impossible to comprehend that it may as well be written in another language. Which brings us to our next point.

3. They speak more than one language

Did I have language arts classes growing up? Sure. But they weren't nearly as immersive as kids' language arts classes are today, and they didn't start nearly as young. Pair that with my kids' penchant for Dora the Explorer, and they've already exceeded my limited grasp of another language. My daughter knows it, too, considering when she tries to converse in Spanish, I only ever say hello (hola!) and ask where the bathroom is (¿Dónde está el baño, por favor?).

4. They're so aware

In full disclosure, if you ever come to my house and forget to put a recyclable item into the recycle bin, you will be read the riot act by my 4-year-old. I wish I'd had these kinds of smarts when I was her age. Kids today, though, constantly hear about climate change and the greenhouse effect and, well, it's apparently sticking. My kid can tell you precisely how long a soup can will sit in a landfill and why we should never, ever, ever under any circumstances throw away Styrofoam.

5. Technology is putty in their hands

While I'm still trying to figure out how to set up voice mail on my new phone, my kids have already logged in and downloaded apps, created their own profiles and reconfigured my screen saver. Oh, and they downloaded the latest update for me. Modern kids were basically born with USB ports — they are totally tapped into all things technological, unlike us dinosaurs of the not-so-digital age.

6. They know everything about everything

I'm not simply talking about the know-it-all attitude kids of a certain age adopt, although that clearly does happen. However, we've gotta give these kids credit where credit is due. They store seemingly endless amounts of obscure information in their tiny heads. They can recall weird statistics about animals, give you a brief history lesson on presidential candidates and so much more. Their minds are like little bear traps.

7. Disassembling and reassembling things is an art form

Remember that scene in Forrest Gump when Forrest disassembles and reassembles his Army gun in, like, no time flat? Imagine that scene, but swap out Forrest for any small child and swap out the Army gun for, well, pretty much anything. Kids are so good at taking something apart and then working out how to get it back together that I'm considering creating an entrepreneurial career for them as IKEA furniture assemblers.

8. They run your own game on you — and it works

The worst part about this is that what they've done doesn't actually sink in until later. My daughter has achieved ninja status in this respect. She waits until she's on the losing side of an argument and then, at the precise moment, quotes something I've said in a previous argument, verbatim. How could I find fault with that logic? After all, it was mine in the first place.

Jimmy Fallon's career reportedly in danger because of a scary problem

More: Tori Spelling is furious with Andy Cohen for insulting her — twice (VIDEO)

But is the NBC host just naturally goofy or is there another reason for his behavior?

The New York Post reports that a string of injuries starting over the summer and continuing until next week could be a result of the comedian's drinking and partying — the most recent event had him getting his hand stitched after falling and landing on broken glass from a smashed Jägermeister bottle while receiving the Harvard Lampoon’s Elmer Award for Excellence in Humor.

"I threw the bottle and then I landed on broken glass," Fallon explained about his bandaged hand on his show Monday. "There [were] pools of blood everywhere."

Now, the Post reports that sources in the entertainment industry are saying NBC feels Fallon's over-the-top partying may be endangering his career.

More: Jimmy Fallon with Kerry Washington's lips is hilariously creepy (VIDEO)

"It’s gone from being a whisper to a chatter," one insider reportedly said about rumors surrounding Fallon's drinking.

The stories are wild and numerous. The Post chronicles rumors that Fallon was involved in a late-night brawl at an East Village dive bar in 2014, that he buys shots of vodka for everyone at the bars he frequents and that, in January, he was seen crawling across a bartop while singing a Katy Perry song.

"He's a mess… everything you’ve heard [about his behavior] is true," a Manhattan bartender who serves Fallon reportedly told the Post, adding, "I love him."

But even if the rumors are true, NBC isn't ready to admit to them. The Post reports that a representative for the network said in a statement, "Jimmy Fallon is a highly valued member of the NBC family who is both a tireless worker and an extraordinarily gifted performer. His dedication in putting on a great show each and every night is unparalleled, and that is reflected in the large amount of viewers who tune in — he frequently outrates the broadcast competition combined. We are proud of his accomplishments on and off camera and look forward to working with him for many years to come."

Instagram star is quitting social media to improve her mental health

"I was addicted to what others thought of me, simply because it was so readily available," she wrote. "I was severely addicted. I believed how many likes and followers I had correlated to how many people liked me. I didn’t even see it happening, but social media had become my sole identity. I didn’t even know what I was without it."

O'Neill also redid all of the captions on her photos to describe what was really happening instead of the perfect facade she put on.

O'Neill delved deeper into the insecurities she developed over the years as a result of social media in this YouTube video — and why it's healthier for her to quit, even if she's not sure what she's going to do next to make money. "Yeah 16-year-old Essena would have been like ‘WTF girl you have the dream life,’" she wrote of her decision. "So why did I feel so lost, lonely and miserable?"

Vanderpump Rules: 7 Reasons why James and Kristen's relationship is a disaster

More: Vanderpump Rules Season 4: 7 Things to know about the new girl (PHOTOS)

In September, it was announced that Kristen and James broke up — finally. Not only did this excite fans, because it promised more drama for Season 4, but it also meant (hopefully) there would be no more fighting and ridiculous arguments between the two. When a relationship is absolutely draining for someone who isn't even experiencing it firsthand (the viewers), then you know that's when a couple needs to part ways.

So far, that's not the case, because Monday night's premiere started off with a bang. Not even a full 10 minutes into the episode and Kristen was already causing trouble because of a silly text exchange between Jax and Carmen, thanks to James informing Jax about his ex-girlfriend kissing someone else. Obviously, that was enough cause for Kristen to start drama and show up at SUR in person to do so. From that moment on, Kristen and James were taking jabs at one another. Yes, it's as tiring and as ridiculous as it sounds.

Soon enough, they're going to break up, which means less fighting, right? Let's be real: This is Vanderpump Rules, and when it involves Kristen's relationship ending, well, that's not going to be swept under the rug quietly.

With that said, let's talk about how the Season 4 premiere provided so many reasons as to why Kristen and James' relationship is a disaster and why their break up is a good thing.

1. They argue over everything

Granted, arguing comes with every relationship, but when you're fighting about every little thing that happens on a daily basis, that's not healthy. I mean, to start a huge argument about a text message is beyond ridiculous. If you want to make a relationship work, you need to choose your battles or at least try and have a civil conversation about whatever it is you're upset about.

2. They call each other names

Not only did Kristen refer to James as "Jekyll and Hyde," but they're constantly picking at each other and talking about one another behind one another's backs. What kind of a relationship is that? Hint: Not a good one.

3. James loves his career more

James admitted that if Kristen didn't stop showing up during his shifts, especially when he is DJing, he would end things. He said, "Girls come and go, but dreams are with you forever." I can't blame him for wanting to succeed in his career aspirations, because who doesn't? Plus, anyone in a relationship wants support from their partner when it comes to their dreams. However, if you're at the point where you'd rather choose your career over your significant other, that is a major warning sign.

4. Kristen wants to take it "day by day"

Relationships need work and it's OK to do whatever it takes to make them succeed. But Kristen telling James she wants to take things "day by day" proves they are not at a good point in their relationship. Heck, even Kristen admitted things have been rocky between the two.

5. James drinks because of Kristen

At the end of the episode, James got super wasted. That wasn't the worst part: He admitted that Kristen drives him to drink and makes him feel unwanted. Again, super unhealthy.

6. Kristen acts like James' mother

As soon as Kristen walked (uninvited) into Scheana's 30th birthday party, she immediately started grilling James about how much he'd had to drink. It's OK to watch out for your partner and ensure they're making good decisions, but acting like someone's "mother," as Kristen put it, isn't going to make the relationship any better.

7. They cause tension with everybody else

Whenever and no matter where they're together, James and Kristen cause so much tension with everybody else, thanks to their bickering. Your friends or whoever you're hanging out with shouldn't be made to feel uncomfortable just because you're unhappy.

Well, I guess it's a good thing Kristen has her T-shirt line.

The young star showed the size of her heart over the weekend when she visited fans at a Los Angeles children’s hospital, including Alex, a huge fan who could hardly contain her excitement for Irwin's visit.

For the Halloween meet-and-greet, Alex was dressed in a cat mask and a tiger-striped headband with black ears attached, giggling nervously as she waited for 17-year-old Irwin and her mother, Terri Irwin, to arrive.

"You are so beautiful, dear!" Irwin gushed upon entering the room and meeting Alex. "I love your Halloween costume."

The two hung out and told jokes, including a terrible knock-knock joke that made Irwin laugh much harder than her young friend. Then they posed for photos together, with Alex still looking over the moon with excitement about meeting the celeb.

According to People magazine, Alex wasn't the only patient Irwin visited at the hospital, and she reportedly told Entertainment Tonight the whole experience was "super emotional."

"A few people have said, 'I wish you brought an animal,' so next time I'll see if I can bring an animal," she said, revealing that she plans to make a habit of visiting fans.

Irwin isn't alone in loving that kind of experience. While Irwin is competing on the current season of Dancing with the Stars, a former DWTS pro, Maks Chmerkovskiy, surprised an 82-year-old fan of his with a private dance lesson at his New Jersey dance studio last Thursday.
