Super-easy yogurt pops with a patriotic berry surprise inside

$

The Jet Skiing is the highlight of the day for me, but the food is a close second. From the traditional burgers and hot dogs on the grill to the fruit salad and sweet treats afterward, there's something just so perfectly American and awesome about it all. By 5 p.m., the kids are either hard-core obnoxiously overtired from lack of their normal nap or wired up on sugar from too many store-bought cookies they've sneaked while Mom wasn't watching.

This year, I'll be bringing a bunch of these for the freezer to hopefully avoid the craziness that is a 4-year-old's sugar high. These patriotic pops are filled with blueberries and a strawberry slice surprise and are made from healthy Greek yogurt that's naturally sweetened with maple syrup. You could, of course, just buy vanilla yogurt to make things even easier. I just prefer the ingredient list a bit better, sweetening things on my own.

Fourth of July yogurt pops

Patriotic berry yogurt pops recipe

Hand out these patriotic pops to celebrate. They're filled with blueberries, have a strawberry surprise on the inside and are made with healthy Greek yogurt.

Serves 4

Prep time: 10 minutes | Inactive time: 4 hours | Total time: 4 hours 10 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup blueberries
  • 1-2 large strawberries, stems removed, sliced
  • 4 paper cups
  • 4 wooden ice pop sticks

Directions:

  1. In a small bowl, combine the yogurt, maple syrup and vanilla, and stir together.
  2. Spoon about 2 tablespoons of yogurt into the bottom of a cup. Drop a few blueberries on top, and then spoon another tablespoon of yogurt on top of the blueberries to cover them. Place 1 strawberry slice on top, stick the ice pop stick in the middle of the strawberry (there should be a small slit in the middle of the strawberry to make this easy), and then cover with another tablespoon of yogurt. Repeat with the remaining 3 cups.
  3. Place the cups in the freezer to set for at least 4 hours.
  4. Remove the paper cups from the outside of the pops, and serve.

How to get more done without burning out

$

In business and in our personal lives, we often feel we have to do it all ourselves, and this leads to many nonproductive feelings: exhaustion, frustration, resentment and even loneliness. Women, of course, are especially bad about trying to do it all. We are superwomen and high achievers and... if we're not careful, we crash and burn.

If you want to accomplish great things with less stress in life and at work, here are three ways to do it.

1. Choose powerfully

There is an underlying fear in the business world that if we say "no" to something we will be punished, dismissed or seen as unwilling to do what it takes, and so we take on too many tasks, feeling that we don't have any other choice. But you do have a choice, and it's OK to say "no" sometimes. The best thing you can do for yourself is to choose powerfully. This means looking at all the items on your plate and examining the positive and negative impact each one will have on you and those in your life. Are you the best person to perform the task? Do you have all the resources you need to get it done (time, money, other people)? What will be put on the back burner if you agree to move forward? Will you have fun doing it or grow from the experience? Asking these questions and answering them honestly will help you make sure you choose powerfully before you act.

2. Ask for help

Regardless of appearances, there are always people to help you. This is a world of billions, not one. But people aren't always going to step up and volunteer; you have to ask for help sometimes. Beware of the martyr in all of us that says, "Well, it looks like no one else is going to do it, so I guess I have to." That is just false self-talk. If and when you feel that side of you rise up, see that as your cue to ask others for help. I spent years never asking for help because I assumed everyone else was busy, but when I finally learned that people were very willing to pitch in when asked, my work life improved dramatically.

3. Delegate

Asking for help is the first step to delegation, but then you have to make sure that the willing party is the right person for the job. Just handing a task off to a random body is a surefire way of creating the boomerang effect: What you gave away will come back right to you. If the person who offered to help is qualified to do the job, tell them what your expectations are, then move out of the way and let them do their thing. Check in now and then to ensure there are no questions or roadblocks, but don't micromanage.

Be the leader in your life and business by choosing powerfully, asking for help and delegating. You will be amazed at the peace it brings to you and those around you!

The news of Hilton's addition came as a surprise to many who didn't realize he could sing.

"Yeah, I'm singing in it... I've been working with this amazing vocal coach named Liz Caplan for a few years," Hilton explained. "It's going to be off-Broadway in New York City at a theater on St. Mark's Place. In Toronto, we're playing a big theater, 500 seats!"

Why it’s so important to make time for friends

$

We always talk about how you have to make time for exercise... you know, "do something for yourself" every day. But I think that making time for friends may be equally good for us. It recharges us, takes us away from our normal responsibilities for a short time and reminds us that we are more than just a parent, a spouse, a lawyer, a cashier or whatever else we are called, even a book editor.

The Greek playwright Euripides said, "It is a good thing to be rich, and it is a good thing to be strong, but it is a better thing to be loved of many friends." So I guess he agreed: Work is a good thing, staying strong through fitness is good, but the best thing is to have friends.

I get a lot of good advice from the people who write for us, and one story that made a big impression on me is "Mom’s Night Out" by Mimi Greenwood Knight in our book, Chicken Soup for the Soul: Parenthood. She writes about how much she looks forward to her night out with friends each month, saying, "Nothing can bother me today; not the mud tracked all over the carpet, not the half-hour search for my car keys, not the eternity spent on hold with the insurance company, not the crayon on the living room wall. Tonight is the night when my friends and I leave the kids at home and get to act like kids ourselves." Mimi writes about the "support, encouragement and friendship" she gets on her night out and how "therapeutic" it is. After her meeting, she says, "I have renewed energy and my positive outlook is back. I feel like I can take on the world."

I felt just like that as I drove back to work today, like I had been on a mini-vacation. I returned to work recharged and enthusiastic about writing my post and doing my other work. All that from a two-hour lunch with friends!

Friendships are special bonds and even after a move, we all have "Girlfriends, Near and Far."

Conrad Hilton's arrest details are chilling — including his texts to his ex

More: Conrad Hilton hurt in a car crash less than a month after the plane incident

The LAPD told E! News that "officers responded Monday to a report of a restraining order violation at a residence in the Hollywood Hills. Hilton was booked on suspicion of the misdemeanor offense at the LAPD's Hollywood Station and released on $5,000 bail."

Hilton's ex-girlfriend, Hunter Salomon, is the daughter of Rick Salomon, who is the man who starred in Paris Hilton's infamous sex tape.

Salomon filed the restraining order on May 22, in which she explained that she and Hilton dated several years ago but had not been together for "quite some time."

More: Did Paris Hilton have plastic surgery? Her latest Instagram pic sure looks like it

Salomon further alleged that Hilton has been calling and texting her since 2014. And, though she never agreed to meet with him and told him to stop contacting her, he would still sit outside her house.

Salomon even has proof of the creepy exchanges, thanks to text messages on her phone. According to the filing, Hilton allegedly told Salomon, "Please get a restraining order on me. I'm tired of sitting outside of your house." Then, the next morning, he added, "May I please see you before I kill myself? You don't have to say a word, all I want is to see you one last time."

"Conrad's state of mind does not seem stable and his actions are frightening me and my family causing a great deal of stress and fear," Salomon explained. She also noted his arrest last summer after he disrupted an international flight by threatening to kill flight attendants and calling fellow passengers "peasants." As a result of that arrest, Hilton was sentenced to three years' probation and 750 hours of community service.

Per the restraining order, Hilton is supposed to stay at least 100 feet away from Salomon and her residence.

Hilton and his family have yet to comment on the latest arrest.

Ryan Reynolds and babywearing: You're doing it wrong

Ryan Reynolds doesn't know how to babywear

Ryan Reynolds doesn't know how to babywear

I love — I mean really love — the fact that this family is embracing babywearing. I adore that Lively and Reynolds chose a quality soft structured carrier (SSC) like this Lillebaby carrier, which provides excellent support for babies while being easy on Mom or Dad's back.

However, you might notice that Reynolds has neglected one vital instruction when he strapped his baby onto his chest. Do you see the feet of the baby sticking out the bottom? That's a no-no.

The waist strap of a baby carrier such as this is designed to be worn snugly against an adult's body. It not only provides essential support for the parent and helps distribute the baby's weight evenly, but it prevents the baby from, you know, sliding out through the bottom of the carrier onto the ground

Reynolds, however, has positioned his baby girl so her legs extend down through the bottom of the belt, which is obviously not cinched anywhere near tight enough to be safe. In addition to the very real danger of the baby plummeting out the bottom of the carrier, the baby's legs and hips are not in the ideal position, which can be uncomfortable and sort of defeats one of the purposes of having a high-quality baby carrier — proper hip support.

It didn't take long for the comments to stream in on her post — and stream in they did.

Some comments were helpful and kind: "Hey, I love the picture," writes one Instagram user. "I hope Ryan had a wonderful first Father's Day. I also wanted you to know that the carrier you are using is being used incorrectly. I love that y'all carry your baby. Please look up how to use it properly. It is dangerous to carry baby James this way, also it can cause hip problems."

More: Jill Duggar could use some babywearing instructions

Some comments were not so kind, and still others felt that Reynolds is wearing the baby just fine and can't everyone back off a little?

However, he definitely isn't wearing the baby fine. Here are a few excellent examples of how to properly wear a baby in a Lillebaby baby carrier:

However, all is not lost, Ryan Reynolds. Just make sure that waist belt is snug first of all. Then watch these videos and, depending on your baby's age, strap her in properly with her legs in the ideal position.

The 68-year-old actor, who has played Luke Spencer for 37 years, bid an emotional farewell as former and current cast members packed a Los Angeles soundstage to pay tribute after he filmed his final scene for the long-running ABC soap opera, which he joined in 1978.

As producers played a montage of clips of Geary's scenes on the show alongside goodbye messages from other ABC celebs, former cast members thanked him for his support and mentorship.

"Thank you for putting up with me as a petulant teenager," said Genie Francis, who played Laura. "Thank you for the best acting partnership I've ever known."

Francis, whose character had a long, tumultuous love affair with Geary's, also remarked on Geary's sweet gesture of sending her flowers after they shot a difficult scene — their now-infamous 1979 rape scene. Later, Luke and Laura's onscreen wedding became the most-watched daytime episode in TV history, and it still holds that title with 30 million viewers.

Geary, who has earned a record eight Emmys for playing Luke, said he didn't mean to get emotional, but that didn't stop him from choking up as he said goodbye.

"I’m excited to raise the curtain on act 3, to reinvent myself in my new home to pursue whatever opportunity there may be. It's an exciting prospect to me," he later told Entertainment Weekly. "They've done a wonderful job of wrapping up the character. So this seems like the ideal time to go."

Geary's final episode of General Hospital will air later this summer.

The "Bang Bang" singer, who has been plagued with persistent health issues for much of her life, posted a before and after video to her Instagram Tuesday to let fans know she had been hospitalized for an operation.

"I'm going to be offline for a few days and I wanted to show you why I don't often share personal stuff (especially about my health) anymore, I just get on with it secretly," she wrote in a long caption for the photo. "But I wanted to share with you before someone else might and it gets twisted and exaggerated into something different or worse."

She doesn't go into detail about exactly what her surgery is for, but she does say it has nothing to do with either her heart or her voice, a concern for fans because, as People magazine reports, her Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome, a condition she's had since she was a child, can cause heart problems and shortness of breath.

And the sweet singer took a minute to share her thoughts with any of her fans who may have health conditions of their own.

"I want to take a moment to send a virtual hug and kiss out to anyone in pain or suffering at the moment. In hospital or at home," she wrote. "There is always someone worse off than us and in moments like this I pray for you all | Hospitals have been my secret second home my whole life and they never get nice to be in | But they can inspire a great song | Trying to see the positive in everything."

It turns out Cindy Crawford's 13-year-old daughter, Kaia Gerber, is the absolute spitting image of her mom. Like, they look scary similar. Need proof? Look no further than the Instagram snap below.

Can you believe the girl is only 13?! Crawford posted the cute mother-daughter pic after a recent photo shoot.

"Today's set? My closet! Hanging out with @kaiagerber (and Widget and Sugar!) for the @thethick_. It's so cute, I can't even be mad that Crawford's closet looks like it's bigger than my apartment.

Naturally, Gerber is following in her supermodel mom's footsteps. She's barely a teen, but she's already a successful model, with a spread in Teen Vogue in her portfolio. In an interview with the magazine, Gerber spoke about her mom's influence and advice.

"She knows so much about it," she said of her mom's expertise about the modeling industry. "I think it would be hard for her to be on set and not say things like, 'Psst, Kaia, put your elbow up.'"

But according to Crawford, her mini-me is already a natural.

"Modeling is just in her DNA or something, it's crazy," she told Into the Gloss in February 2014, totally stating the obvious. "But I think she likes acting more than modeling… who knows? Things change."

Crawford is also a mom to 15-year-old Presley, who inherited his mom's trademark mole, though his is on his right cheek while hers is on the left.

Some families just get all the lucky genes.

More: Teresa Giudice isn't done saying goodbye to her former life

While his wife is still serving out her prison sentence, Joe Giudice has finished negotiating a deal with Bravo for his own reality show, centering on him and his four daughters.

Us Weekly reports that a source confirmed an hour-long special is already being filmed and more episodes may follow later.

Filming reportedly began earlier this month on the show that will explore life without wife, mom and former Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice, who began serving her 15-month sentence for fraud at the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Connecticut, in January. Joe has a prison sentence of his own coming up, but his was suspended while Teresa is behind bars so someone can care for the couple's four children, Gia, 14, Gabriella, 10, Milania, 9, and Audriana, 5.

More: Teresa Giudice has a message for all her fans, from prison

Rumors about the TV special are nothing new. Joe spoke briefly about it back in April, when he confirmed to Us that he had met with Bravo to discuss the show.

"Now it's something for our attorneys to figure out," he said at the time.

In the meantime, Teresa is staying busy in prison with her own pursuits. Nothing has yet come of rumors saying she's negotiating a reality series to give a behind-the-scenes look at her life behind bars, but even more persistent rumors have been saying she's working on a tell-all memoir about her time in prison.

And, according to Joe, she's still helping out with the girls as much as she can via email. It's not always the best arrangement, he shared.

"They have their little breakdowns here and there," Joe said about his daughters. "They'll say, 'Daddy, when's she going to be out?' Or 'I miss Mommy.' I just make sure to give them lots of love and a lot of kisses."

'Klittra' is the new word for female solo sex

$

After months of submissions, which resulted in 1,200 emails alone, The Swedish Association of Sexuality Education dubbed "Klittra" the act of female masturbation over the weekend. According to a statement released by the organization to The Local, the term 'Klittra,' 'highlights the importance of the clitoris for pleasure." Ah, the creativity of a play on words. Though I guess if there has to be a specific term for female mastubation, I would definitely take Klittra over the runner ups 'pulla' and 'runka.'

As a young woman born and bred in the United States where sexuality is heavily discussed and is gradually becoming more openly accepted, it still amazes me that in other countries, female sexual desires are still considered taboo. I took sexual education during my senior year of high school and masturbation was discussed regarding both men and women solo sex. A discussion regarding my sexuality and desires was always an open door; it was my choice whether or not to walk through it.

More: 7 Reasons you should be masturbating

RSFU representative Kristina Ljungros is pleased with the developing term, and hopes to see it in the next edition of the Swedish dictionary. "When it comes to masturbation, people mostly think about just men doing it and we don't think of it as common for women,” she tells The Local, "If we don't have a word in the language, how can we even talk about it?"

Despite whether or not a society believes a female’s sexual desires are warranted, they are natural emotions that should be discussed and understood. As humans, men and women alike are naturally sexual beings. This is a conversation that needs to be had, and I hope that awareness has sparked due to this new word development and that female sexuality is able to be discussed a little more openly.

Here's how to DIY bright, ombre stationery

Since I remember, I've been a big fan of colorful stationery. Pretty paper, neon shades, ombre effects and pops of color are all the things I just can't resist, and hence need them in my everyday life. If you are wondering why you should make your own, here are a few good reasons:

Ombre Note Blocks

1. Thanks to the bright colors, you will never look for a piece of paper to note things down (you just can't miss these!).

2. Those that you find in the shops will cost at least three times more, and often are not in your favorite colors.

3. They are pretty, and you just know you want them!

Convinced? So let's get started!

Ombre Note Blocks

Supplies:

  • Plain white block notes
  • Spray paints in your favorite colors
  • Hairband (optional)

Tip: Wrapping a hairband before spray painting will add color only to the edges of your note blocks. If you don't use it, a bit of spray paint will also be visible on top of the paper notes. I have to say, I think I prefer it this way.

In any case, the effect is guaranteed!

Margot Robbie

And though it's hard for me to believe that this insider is correct, just because of how absolutely flawless Robbie looked fully naked on camera, it's hard not to put it past Hollywood to expect an actress to conform to an unrealistic and unhealthy expectation like this.

More: Focus: Margot Robbie proves she's more than a sex symbol

But who are these "execs" telling her she needs to lose weight?

Robbie is already well on her way to becoming Hollywood royalty without being unhealthy. She has three movies slated for 2016 that put her name among the biggest in film. Aside from starring in David Yates' adaptation of Tarzan alongside Alexander Skarsgard in the title role, Robbie is also currently filming Suicide Squad with Will Smith and Ben Affleck.

How much bigger can an actress get?

Of course, there's always room to grow and improve in one's career. And Robbie isn't exactly at the point where she's headlining films all on her own. But she's well on her way — without dropping a ridiculous 20 pounds.

5 Hot dog hacks your summer cookouts desperately need

Hot dogs and summer go hand in hand. From Memorial Day on, every backyard barbecue, picnic and potluck will have hot dogs happening in some form. But if you want your cookout to rise above the rest, you're going to need to do more than throw some franks on the grill and squirt a little ketchup on top. Take notes: This is how to up your hot dog game this summer.

1. Spiral-cut them

spiral cut hot dogs

spiral cut hot dogs

Hands down, my favorite part of the hot dog is that crisp, slightly charred outside. Spiral-cut your dog, and you've got more crisp edges than you know what to do with.

2. Cook them in a Pringles can

Say you're at the beach and you don't have a grill but you do have a Pringles can and you need to cook up some dogs. That happens all the time, right? If you find yourself in this situation, you're in luck: Pringles can solar cooker to the rescue. Yes, really.

3. Stuff them with cheese, and wrap them in bacon

Perhaps my favorite pick — it doesn't get much better than a hot dog stuffed with cheese, wrapped in bacon and then grilled to crispy perfection.

4. Make them out of hamburger

OK, this is cheating a little. But this is for those of you who want to get in on the hot dog action but really prefer burgers. It's called a Ham Dogger, obviously.

5. Make them taste like pizza

Especially after Pizza Hut's recent unveiling of the Hot Dog Bites pizza, this makes total sense. There's no reason you couldn't throw these bad boys onto a piece of foil and cook them on the grill.

Summer is a great time to practice setting boundaries with kids

$
0
0

We might be finding ourselves in new places and situations, with people we don't see too often, with friends and friends of friends, and family we know well and don't know so well. This is a good time to remember Stop Giving It Away because we talk a lot about setting boundaries.

These are limits we place on ourselves and others that keep us safe, happy and prevent us from feeling overwhelmed or unhappy.

A good indication of needing to set a boundary is your comfort level. In my book, I write about the pressure women feel to go along with the systems around them, keep things nice, avoid conflict, avoid going against the grain, which could be the mom or your honey who makes plans for you, rather than with you... or kids rampaging through your house with muddy feet and wet clothes... or house guests who are taking over your house.

Boundaries shape how we're treated.

Drawing your personal boundary lines and taking steps to make sure they're respected is essential to feeling happy and safe. When we give it away, we're telling those around us that we are willing to flex, or even break, our personal boundaries in order to satisfy their wants and needs.

1. Speak up and be specific

It is amazing how unclear we can be with our communication without realizing it.

"Yes, honey, I would like to have the neighbors over for a barbecue too, but I need more than 30 minutes notice going forward. Will that work for you?

2. Set expectations with kids and others ahead of time.

For example, tell your kids before you go to the pool what the expectations are.

"We are going to probably leave around one, so we can have a siesta and rest in the afternoon."

"You will have to put on sunscreen every few hours."

3. Be prepared for push back.

Yes. You will probably get some whining and a few frowns. Just say, "Yes, I know other people aren't wearing a life jacket but we will wear a life jacket on the boat."

4. Push through the guilt when people get upset at your boundaries. It is OK.

As women we don't want to disappoint, cause conflict or feel guilty. Often, we don't set boundaries to avoid these feelings. It will backfire on you, though, so just so ahead and push through. You will feel better in the long run.

5. Lastly, make sure you plan some time for you this summer!

Plan "me" time this summer to fill your tank. It is easy to lose track of your own wants and desires. Not good!

One of the most important tips I can bring to you today is one I myself, and I think a lot of us, forget about year-round, which is that it's OK to just be still, to not have plans, to hang around the house and smell and see summer for the lovely things it has to offer.

Rosie O'Donnell's drug test could spell doom for her custody case

The TV personality is locked in a bitter feud with her ex, Michelle Rounds, over their 2-year-old daughter, Dakota, with O'Donnell being accused of excessive drug and alcohol use.

She submitted a drug test to prove she is clean and sober, but there's just one small problem: It reportedly came back positive for marijuana.

"It came back positive for drugs," an insider told the National Enquirer of the hair follicle test. "When Rosie found out, she was furious!

"She's been trying to hide her drug use for a long time, and she didn't realize that marijuana stays in your system for a number of months."

More: Rosie O'Donnell was accused of kidnapping her own child

Rounds is seeking sole custody based on her allegations that O'Donnell is unfit and smokes and drinks to excess, but the former cohost of The View says the move is nothing more than a ploy for more cash.

"This is an absurd and desperate attempt to use a child for her [Rounds'] own gain," O'Donnell's rep, Cindi Berger, told Page Six in April.

The pair had a court date today to further discuss their custody issues. We'll keep you updated on what, if any, decisions are announced.

Why you need to be careful taking babies to MLB ballparks

Dad catches foul ball while holding baby

Dad catches foul ball while holding baby

He's been hailed as an "amazing dad" for his feat, which I have to admit really was a pretty amazing catch. He actually had to reach out and make an effort, with his kid dangling in his arms, to snatch it out of the glove of the player. And he's not the only parent holding a kid who has been able to snag a ball at a Major League Baseball game this season.

Behold, this dad at a Phillies game last month:

And this mother at an A's game just a few days ago:

However, no matter how cool the Cubs fan's catch was, I don't have to spell out that there are some pretty serious dangers you can face as a fan at an MLB game. And unfortunately, common sense and reason can fly out the window when you see a ball approaching you. Is it awesome to catch a ball? Yes. Should you put your kid in danger to do it? No.

MoreThis dad doesn't realize how supportive he is until he posts this photo

While you attend a ball game for fun, you have to be aware of everything going on around you at all times. And you have to be aware of potential dangers... such as the Dodgers player at the Cubs game potentially deflecting that foul ball onto your baby's head, for example.

And what about this stellar parenting example who actually drops his child so he can catch a ball?

It's also important to keep your child in mind even if you're trying to save yourself. Kids don't always pay attention to the game and can easily get knocked on their heads, which is exactly what would have happened here if these kids' older sibling hadn't reached out and caught the homer (note the adult to the left who actually tried to get out of the way as a ball comes hurtling toward the little kids).

The bottom line is that not every baseball-watching experience has a happy ending. People can and are injured by balls and bats at MLB games — notably, a woman recently got a baseball bat piece to the head and was seriously injured at a Red Sox game.

MoreRyan Reynolds and babywearing: You're doing it wrong

Should you stop taking your kids to the game? Nope. You just have to do a few things to make sure they stay safe and uninjured.

  • Don't reach out to try to catch a ball while you hold your baby.
  • Definitely try to catch a ball if it's going to drop on your baby's head.
  • Stay aware of what is going on during the game.
  • Protect your kids who may be injured by a flying bat or ball.

Admittedly, it's pretty alarming how fast things can change during a ball game, and it's easy to get sucked into the many distractions there are both on and off the field. It can also be quite difficult to get out of the way if an object comes flying toward you, and it can be a matter of self-preservation as you try to get out of the way.

No matter what, though, your responsibility extends beyond your own hide if you bring your kids to the game. Don't put your child in danger for a souvenir, and make sure you try to save them if they are in the path of a hurtling object.

Nick Gordon lawsuit details are sickening

Bobbi Kristina Brown's conservator, Bedelia Hargrove, filed a lawsuit accusing Gordon of intentional infliction of emotional distress, battery, assault, fraud and theft — and the details are incredibly sad.

In the suit, Hargrove states that Gordon misrepresented his relationship with Brown, stating they were married when they were not, to "control Brown and limit with whom she could interact" and "manipulated her bank relationship so that he could access her money" despite needing permission from her conservator to do so.

In fact, the suit alleges, in a "scheme to benefit from her wealth," Gordon moved approximately $11,000 of Brown's money into his own account while she lay in a coma.

Hargrove also says Gordon isolated Brown by answering her phone calls for her and forcing her to get his permission before scheduling appointments.

But the most horrifying accusation made in the suit is that Gordon "began to commit domestic violence on Brown, including punching her in the face, knocking out a front tooth, and dragging her upstairs by her hair." According to the suit, Brown had a secret meeting planned with a trusted friend to talk about Gordon's misdeeds on January 31 — but she never made it. Instead, she was found unresponsive in her bathtub with, according to the court papers, a swollen mouth and another tooth knocked out.

The suit demands "punitive damages in the amount of at least $40,000,000, or a minimum of $10,000,000 for each one of four counts — assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress and conversion."

"Today I filed a lawsuit on behalf of Bobbi Kristina Brown. I filed this lawsuit to pursue justice on behalf of Bobbi Kristina Brown. No human being, male or female, should endure what Bobbi Kristina endured," Hargrove said in a statement.

"Pat Houston and Bobby Brown have done all they can to take care of Bobbi Kristina since this terrible tragedy occurred. I have worked closely with both of them and we all want the very best for Bobbi Kristina. This lawsuit represents our collective efforts to get justice for Bobbi Kristina. We pray that justice will be done for her and that it will be swift."

Brown's condition has deteriorated so far that the Houston family confirmed she has been moved to hospice.

In fact, if what we hear is true, they're only growing stronger.

More: Teresa Giudice's new show would be bad — especially for her daughters

According to Giudice's attorney, James J. Leonard Jr., who spoke with E! News, Giudice just added Real Housewives creator Andy Cohen to her approved email contact list in prison. And the two are already chatting.

"I can confirm she's now communicating with him via email," Leonard said. "He was added to her approved email list over the weekend and they've exchanged correspondence."

He continued, "Teresa is upbeat and strong. She's thinking about the future and looking forward to coming home to her family."

Does that "thinking about the future" mean she and Cohen are discussing Giudice's reality TV future? Only time will tell.

In a different interview with E! News that took place a few weeks ago, Leonard also revealed how Giudice's mental state has been since she began her prison sentence in January.

"I think she's going to emerge stronger, more focused," he explained. "She's getting back in touch with her faith. She's spending a lot of time praying in there and I think the Teresa that comes out of prison is going to wow people."

She's also making sure to stay in touch with her family. She was able to spend Mother's Day last month with her family at the Federal Correctional Institute in Danbury, Connecticut, where she's serving her time. Giudice's daughters were reportedly able to visit her, but it's unclear if Joe was there to support his wife as well.
