Anne Hathaway is scared of people from third world countries

Anne Hathaway says fame really messed with her head

According to an Argentinian journalist, the actress refused to shake his hand during a Los Angeles screening of her new movie, Interstellar, which she stars in alongside Matthew McConaughey and Jessica Chastain.

So, why did Hathaway decide to snub the journalist? Well, apparently she's afraid of people from third world countries, just in case she contracts the deadly Ebola virus from them.

New trailer proves Interstellar is going to be fantastically heart-wrenching

The journalist in question, Alexis Puig, revealed via Twitter that each one of the film's big stars shook his hand when he interviewed them, expect for Ms. Hathaway, and he has some scathing comments for her because of her actions.

Taking to Twitter on Oct. 25, Puig tweeted about the Love & Other Drugs actress in Spanish, which, according to Radar Online, translates to, "Anne Hathaway didn't shake my hand because she was afraid of Ebola #I'mAThirdWorldJournalist."

However, Puig was very impressed with her costars.

In another tweet, which has also been translated by Radar Online, the journalist wrote, "Christopher Nolan, Matthew McConaughey and Jessica Chastain were genial in the interviews (and none of them denied me their hands). Take that, Anne!"

Anne Hathaway can't handle the hate

Whether the reasons for Hathaway's snub were because she was afraid of someone from a third world country or for some other bizarre reason, she certainly hasn't made a friend in this Argentinian journalist —and it's not as if she needed any more Hatha-haters!

Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis: The real-life Ross and Rachel

Kunis is so taken with her new baby girl, whose father is Kunis' fiancé, Ashton Kutcher, that she has been inspired to help other mothers who are in need. The actress has codesigned an 18-karat yellow gold emerald ring with jeweler, Marina B, and the profits will go towards funding a maternity center in Zambia, according to Vogue magazine. The center is near the Gemfields mine, which is a supplier of responsibly sourced gemstones. Kunis also serves as a spokesperson for the company.

The gorgeous bauble has been dubbed a "motherhood ring" and Kunis says she got involved to celebrate the birth of her own first child, Wyatt Isabelle. "Carrying a child and bringing new life into the world marks the start of an incredible journey," Kunis recently told Vogue UK. "Throughout history, every culture has its own way of recognizing this extraordinary event, often with a gift for mother or child. Precious green emeralds are traditionally symbols of motherhood, wisdom and long-lasting love. But they are also a symbol of hope in many cultures and so the proceeds from this collection of Motherhood Rings will benefit the opening of Gemfields Nkana Health Centre, where four new wards have been built — a major undertaking that will have long-lasting benefits to the local community."

5 Fun facts about Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis' baby girl

Zimbabwe is notorious for its collapsed health care system. Recent studies have shown that 68 percent of women in the country have suffered gender-based violence, according to Newsday and, in 2006, the average life expectancy for a woman in Zimbabwe was just 34 years of age, according to the World Health Report.

The new venture with Gemfields really shows that Kunis, who has previously advertised products for Dior and Gap, is really committed to previous statements about how she plans to ethically endorse products moving forward. "You don't want to endorse something that you don't believe in," Kunis explained to Vogue in March 2013 while talking about her new partnership with Gemfields. "I've done that before and it's just one of the hardest jobs to do. Why do it? I believe in this company and I believe in what they stand for. Lesson learned, absolutely."

How does 'Little House on the Prairie' still resonate with kids today?

0
0

Melissa says, "I think “Little House on the Prairie” still has meaning for kids because it teaches children the most important things we all strive for — community, family, love and home. And the other thing is that it shows them an authentic, specific time in American history and how kids lived then — walking to school, not having electricity and the way things were in the 1870s. And on that same token, a lot of the problems kids and people go through today are the same problems that existed in the 1800s. Things like bullying, drug addiction — and most of all, the stories are told in a really fun way."

Ingredients:

  • 1 (15 ounce) can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 3 cups diced roasted or boiled butternut squash
  • 1 cup cooked brown rice
  • 1/4 cup diced red bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup diced green bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup sweet corn kernels
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon allspice
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Olive oil
  • 6 toasted whole-wheat English muffins
  • Fresh cilantro

Directions:

  1. To a food processor, add the chickpeas, squash, rice, red bell pepper, green bell pepper, corn, smoked paprika, chili powder, cumin, salt and allspice. Process until thick and mostly smooth. You want the mixture to keep some of its chunk.
  2. Form the mixture into 6 equal-sized patties (or mold them in a handy burger mold), and let them rest in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  3. When you're ready to cook the patties, heat about 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet set over medium-high heat.
  4. Fry the patties in the oil until golden brown, flip, and cook the other sides until golden brown as well.
  5. Continue cooking until all the patties are cooked, adding more oil if needed.
  6. Place the patties on the toasted English muffins with cilantro.
  7. In a small bowl, mix together the Vegenaise, smoked paprika, Sriracha sauce and lemon zest. Slather the mixture on the top bun and top burger.

Don't you dare call Daniel Radcliffe "unconventional" (VIDEO)

What's a love-worthy relationship? Daniel Radcliffe explains

Radcliffe has been getting some puzzling questions lately during interviews and he just wants to know why people think of him differently than some of his childhood costars.

"Around the time of What If, the rom com, a lot of people were saying, 'You're a really unconventional romantic lead,'" he said, according to Us Weekly. "Eventually I got bored of hearing that, so I kind of picked someone up on that, so I was like, 'What about me is unconventional? Tell me.' She said, 'Well, I think it's probably the fact that we associated you with playing Harry as a young boy for so long.'"

But Radcliffe sees it differently. He said, "The male population has had no problem sexualizing Emma Watson immediately."

Watson said she has dealt with being sexualized since an early age and she gave a speech at the United Nations in September, explaining how women are treated across the world.

6 New horror flicks that will violate your mind this Halloween

But for Radcliffe, he said he has seen discrimination in his career mostly because he is known as Harry Potter — and that is a difficult thing to get past.

"People seem to think that everything I'm doing is a comment on Harry Potter, which it's not," he told the AP. "The thing I do find frustrating sometimes is that some people seem to think that by wanting to do other things, it somehow means that I'm not proud of Harry Potter, which is ludicrous."

Gene Simmons: Stop depending on men and get a job

Gene Simmons to immigrants: "Learn to speak English"

Simmons appeared on a Fox News show, explaining how he thinks women should be thinking of their finances.

"Here's the real skinny of life as we know it," he explained, according to E! News. "Let's all agree that women should not depend on men. The statistics predominately tell us they will run out on you. Yes, infidelity, but the other problem is the economics of relationships."

Simmons had been dating Shannon Tweed for more than 20 years before they finally married in 2011. He explained that men "predominantly" earn the money and he has seen relationships end, leaving the woman who was once dependent on the man left with nothing.

"Assume the man won't be there. Why not devote your time, your early years, to making your fortune?" he explained. "Get a career.

"Life is not a straight line and I'm here to say women think differently than men. Men must work for a living," he added. "Women have the option of becoming the housewife, which is respectable and wonderful but what happens when the man runs away?"

Simmons is no stranger to controversy. He earned some enemies last month when he explained his thoughts on depression: "For a putz 20-year-old kid to say, 'I'm depressed, I live in Seattle.' F*** you, then kill yourself." Back in August, he also explained how he felt immigrants could be successful in the United States — by learning "to speak godd*** English."

What do Amber Rose and Gene Simmons have in common?

But this time, the singer attempted to tell women they should not be relying on a man — because a man is not trustworthy.

"Don't depend on them," he said. "Why should you? They don't depend on you for anything. The less you depend on a man for emotional and financial support, the better off you'll be."

Baby names from your favorite Halloween movies

0

It's easy to pay tribute to the horror genre without resorting to absurd names like Leatherface, Frankenstein or Dracula. Consider one of these movie characters from cult classics:

  • Elizabeth (Bram Stoker's Dracula, 1897)
  • Thomas (Nosferatu, 1922)
  • Norman (Psycho, 1960)
  • Eleanor (The Haunting, 1963)
  • Rosemary (Rosemary's Baby, 1968)
  • Regan (The Exorcist, 1973)
  • Jedidiah (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, 1974)
  • Brody (Jaws, 1975)
  • Carol Anne (Poltergeist, 1975)
  • Carrie (Carrie, 1976)
  • Damien (The Omen, 1976)
  • Suzy (Suspiria, 1977)
  • Michael (Halloween, 1978)
  • Kane (Alien, 1979)
  • Jack (The Shining, 1980)
  • Jason (Friday the 13th, 1980)
  • Freddy (A Nightmare on Elm Street, 1984)
  • Malachi (Children of the Corn, 1984)
  • Seth (The Fly, 1986)
  • Chuckie (Child's Play, 1988)
  • Hannibal (The Silence of the Lambs, 1991)
  • Henry (The Good Son, 1993)
  • Claudia (Interview with the Vampire, 1994)
  • Lestat (Interview with the Vampire, 1994)
  • Sidney (Scream, 1996)
  • Cole (The Sixth Sense, 1999)
  • Samara (The Ring, 2002)
  • Esther (Orphan, 2009)
  • Matty (The Unborn, 2009)

The characters, of course, are who we remember most vividly, but we mustn't forget about the talented writers, actors and directors who brought them to life. They, too, provide outstanding inspiration for the perfect scary movie baby name.

What must go through the minds of the writers who create such terrifying characters? Seriously, what were Ann Rice, Bram Stoker, Edgar Allan Poe and Stephen King thinking when they penned their chilling tales?

Notable actors, including Boris Karloff, Linda Blair, Lon Chaney and Sissy Spacek, do such an incredible job of bringing evil to life that we sometimes have trouble disassociating them from their characters. After all, the mere mention of Anthony Hopkins calls to mind cannibalism, does it not?

Scary movies don't always get a lot of respect, but it's hard to dismiss the genius behind directors like Alfred Hitchcock, John Carpenter, Roman Polanski and Wes Craven.

So, will it be the scary movie's character, writer, actor or director that inspires your next baby name?

Keanu Reeves embraces "sad Keanu" meme in new book

"I always wanted to play Wolverine," Reeves said, according to the Hollywood Reporter. "But I didn't get that. And they have a great Wolverine now."

But Hugh Jackman's role isn't the only one he missed out on — and the other one wasn't even in the same universe. According to Moviefone, Reeves said he'd wished he had been selected as Batman at one point.

"I always wanted to play The Dark Knight," Reeves said. "But I didn't get that one. They've had some great Batmans. So now I'm just enjoying them as an audience."

Reeves didn't explain which incarnation of Batman he had hoped to play, but Ben Affleck is the latest to win the role of the Dark Knight. Hugh Jackman has played Wolverine for more than 14 years — most recently in X-Men: Days of Futures Past — so Reeves' agony has apparently surpassed at least a decade.

5 Excellent Bill and Ted phrases you can use in any situation

The actor has played some important action characters, including John Wick, the eponymous character in the film, which is out now. But he said even though he has had some great chances in Hollywood, "it sucks" that he hasn't been offered more roles he wanted.

You can see Ben Affleck play the Caped Crusader in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, expected out in 2016.

Count the Disney villains in this "Counting Stars" parody (VIDEO)

Zombie Disney princess makeup tutorials will make your skin crawl

From Maleficent and Hercules' Hades, to Cruella Deville and Aladdin's Jafar, the characters sing "Counting Scars," a parody of OneRepublic's "Counting Stars." All they want to know is which villain is the most evil. Is it Scar from The Lion King? The other villains all seem to think so, but they're not happy about it.

"Always conscious of my cred/Losing is what I dread," laments Hades, king of the underworld from Hercules.

101 Dalmatians' Cruella Deville sings, "Old, but I'm not that old/Evil, but I'm not that cold," before adding that Scar scares her.

Corbin Bleu's Disney past is a big part of his future, too

The villains, who span decades of classic Disney movies, both animated and live action, join together for the chorus, singing, "Lately I've been, I've been losing sleep/Dreaming about how evil I could be.

"It's tough to climb the ladder when you're counting Scars," they all add at the end.

Scar himself doesn't make an appearance until the end of the video, but once he does, you see why the other villains regard him as the most evil. With a growling voice, a creepy scar over one eye and a truly maniacal laugh, Scar really does steal the show, as long as you can get past his costume, which is admittedly weird looking and not at all lion-esque.

"Lately I've been, I've been getting sleep/Dreaming about how evil I could be/Villains, I've been, I've been trying hard/Said no more climbing ladders/I am the King Scar," Scar sings as all the other villains dance around him.

New sketches show that if Disney characters were human, they'd all be white

Matt Bomer is counting down the days until the end of Magic Mike

Top 10 sexiest (and shirtless!) movies

The film is currently shooting in Georgia and the White Collar star finds himself surrounded by some amazing (but not very diet-conscious) food — and it's all he can think about.

"We definitely stay away from the amazing Southern cooking here in Savannah," Matt Bomer told People. "The guys have all tried to have a sense of solidarity and support each other in terms of our discipline."

Bomer is starring with Channing Tatum, Joe Manganiello, Adam Rodriguez, Donald Glover, Stephen Boss and Kevin Nash in the new film — which, like its predecessor, is bound to be a hit. Just last month, the studio announced what would likely be the plot for the newest Magic Mike.

"Picking up the story three years after Mike bowed out of the stripper life at the top of his game Magic Mike XXL finds the remaining Kings of Tampa likewise ready to throw in the towel. But they want to do it their way: burning down the house in one last blow-out performance in Myrtle Beach, and with legendary headliner Magic Mike (Tatum) sharing the spotlight with them. On the road to their final show, with whistle stops in Jacksonville and Savannah to renew old acquaintances and make new friends, Mike and the guys learn some new moves and shake off the past in surprising ways."

GIFs: Male stripper fails you won't see in Magic Mike XXL

The actor is a native Texan and knows his Southern food. But for the role, he is watching his weight, and that means the entire cast is working hard to stay away from anything that might affect their figures in the film. He explained, "Once those shirtless scenes are over I'm sure we're going to dip into some fried chicken in a mean, mean way."

But for now, his dancing scenes require a lean diet and, so, Bomer is just counting the days until Magic Mike XXL is done filming.

Magic Mike XXL is due in theaters July 1, 2015.

LeVar Burton's favorite book is not Reading Rainbow-approved (VIDEO)

VIDEO: Help LeVar Burton bring Reading Rainbow back to life

The host of the beloved PBS children's series and Star Trek star made an appearance at a Saturday charity event for the Children's Miracle Network. In an awesome throwback to Reading Rainbow, Burton is asked to pick a story — any story — and Burton made a choice that is definitely not Reading Rainbow-approved: Go the F*** to Sleep, a best seller by Adam Mansbach.

"This is one of my favorite children's stories," Burton said, before beginning to read the book, which contains such lines as, "The windows are dark in the town, child, the whales huddled down in the deep. I'll read you one very last book if you swear you'll go the f*** to sleep," and, "The eagles who soar through the sky are at rest and the creatures who crawl, run and creep. I know you're not thirsty — that's bull****, stop lying, lie the f*** down, my darling, and sleep."

You know, the usual stuff parents say to their kids.

Luckily, the crowd sitting cross-legged on the floor listening to Burton read was made up of young adults and not the kids usually seen in their place on Reading Rainbow.

Warning: The video of the event is definitely NSFW.

Levar Burton reads Go the F*** to Sleep

Levar Burton reads Go the F*** to Sleep

According to E! News, the book was inspired by the author's toddler daughter, who was fussy about bedtime. It became a huge hit when famous actor, Samuel L. Jackson, read it aloud as a lullaby. As a child of the Reading Rainbow generation, I may be biased, but Burton's version is much better.

This isn't the first time Burton's been in the news recently. He took to Kickstarter in May to crowdfund an app-based revival of Reading Rainbow and raised more than $1 million in less than 24 hours. He plans to use the money to provide the Reading Rainbow app to 1,500 low-income classrooms for free.

Matthew McConaughey believes his new film, Interstellar, is already, definitely a contender.

McConaughey, who already scored some best actor gold for his role in Dallas Buyers Club, stars as a space explorer searching for the far reaches of other galaxies in the highly anticipated Christopher Nolan flick, which has been years in the making and hits theaters Nov. 5. According to The Independent, McConaughey spoke on the red carpet at Interstellar's Los Angeles premiere and said the film is definitely in the race for some of the coveted statuettes.

"We'll see, that's down the road but tonight we are declaring right here in Hollywood, California, which is the great thing about this business, we plant the seeds," he said. "Christopher Nolan has been working on this for years and tonight he gets to declare here in Hollywood at a premiere with all the glitz and the lights and the glamor, this is harvest time."

Matthew McConaughey sees no problem with racist Redskins logo

McConaughey, who was joined by his wife, Camila Alves, and his Interstellar costars, Anne Hathaway and Jessica Chastain, also talked about how grueling it was to shoot the film and the amount of time it took to recover once shooting wrapped up.

"I took a long, long, long nap," he confessed. "I rested my body and I rested my mind for about 10 days because it was a long, enduring journey we went on. It was supposed to be hard but it was hard and luckily I didn't finish and wish I shoulda, woulda, coulda."

How much do I love a meal that's served in an edible bowl? A lot. I know you will too, whether you're looking for a dish with distinction for Thanksgiving or simply something fun and flavorful on a Wednesday night.

Vegan brown rice, spinach, and pecan-stuffed butternut squash

Hearty and colorful, this vegan recipe for brown rice, spinach and pecan-stuffed butternut squash is packed with flavor. The best part? It’s ready in about 30 minutes. Sounds hard to believe, but it's true.

While you're roasting the butternut squash (only 25 minutes, folks), you can easily prepare the brown rice and spinach mixture to spoon into the squash. This warm and festive dish will likely become a favorite, and that's great, since it can be ready in about half an hour.

Vegan brown rice, spinach and pecan-stuffed butternut squash recipe

This dish is seasonal and colorful, with great flavors, and it's also a simple-to-make meal. You can easily double the recipe to feed a larger group and modify this dish a bit too: Use kale or Swiss chard instead of spinach, or even add mushrooms for a heartier feast.

Serves 2

Prep time: 5 minutes | Cook time: 27 minutes | Total time: 32 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 butternut squash, split horizontally, seeds and stringy fiber scooped out
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil, divided
  • 1/4 cup yellow onion, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2-1/2 cups packed fresh spinach
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup reduced-sodium vegetable broth
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose baking flour
  • 2/3 cup quick-cooking brown rice (to equal 2 cups cooked)
  • 1/4 cup toasted pecans, chopped, plus extra for garnish

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. If you think you need a bit more room for the filling after removing the seeds and strings from the squash, then hollow out a bit of the squash with a spoon.
  2. Place the butternut squash halves cut side up onto a baking sheet, and drizzle with 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Season with salt and ground black pepper. Bake for 25 minutes or until they are fork tender.
  3. While the squash is cooking, prepare your stuffing. Cook the rice according to the package directions, and set it aside.
  4. To a sauté pan over medium heat, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of olive oil. When the oil is hot, add the onion, and cook for about 3 minutes. Add the garlic, and cook for about 1 minute. Add the spinach, cinnamon, nutmeg, thyme, salt and ground black pepper. Stir to combine. After a minute or so, the spinach will begin to wilt.
  5. Add all but about 2 tablespoons of the vegetable broth to the pan. Stir the mixture, and allow the broth to cook down for 1 to 2 minutes.
  6. Add the 2 tablespoons of broth to a small bowl along with the flour. Whisk to combine until smooth, and then add to the sauté pan. This will help thicken the mixture a bit.
  7. Once the liquid has cooked down just a little, add the rice to the pan. Stir to incorporate, then remove from the heat. Stir in the pecan pieces, reserving about 1 teaspoon to use as garnish.
  8. Remove the butternut squash from the oven, divide the rice mixture equally, and spoon it into each hollowed-out squash half.
  9. Garnish with the remaining pecan pieces, and serve warm.

Serve this pretty dish any day of the week.

Raven-Symoné doesn't want to be labeled, and I agree

During the interview for the talk show queen's OWN series, Oprah: Where Are They Now?, the former child star said, "I don't want to be labeled 'gay.' I want to be labeled 'a human who loves humans. I'm tired of being labeled. I'm an American. I'm not an African American; I'm an American."

Social media blew up because of those comments and now Raven-Symoné has taken to Facebook to silence her haters.

"I don't take offense to those that are mad at my personal opinion of myself. Like before, I'm glad there are conversations happening," she wrote. "Our generation tends to stay comfortable at times, with issues and topics that need to be addressed."

The That's So Raven actress then went on to explain that she is annoyed by the bullying from people and how unnecessary the backlash is.

"Keep your disrespectful, mean, hurtful, words in a diary for yourself," she told her critics, adding, "Personal attacking is not needed, and no matter what race, nationality, culture, or womb you came out of; strive for respect. Strive to be virtuous, so the conversation can lead to great things, other things."

Whether you agree with Raven-Symoné's comments or not, you have to admit she has remained gracious throughout the backlash, and it may surprise you to learn that she does have one major celebrity on her side, Clifford "T.I." Harris.

Johnny Cash's son arrested after deciding to rock his birthday suit

Cash was arrested at the Deer Lake Airport in Newfoundland on charges of disturbing the peace and being drunk in public.

MUSIC REVIEW: Johnny Cash lands Out Among the Stars

According to the St. John's Telegram, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police said they were called to the airport just after 2 p.m. on Monday for the report of a man who had taken his clothes off. Cash was reportedly in the country for a hunting trip and missed his flight home because of the incident.

Although Cash hasn't yet commented on the arrest, he was reportedly either drunk or had medical issues. By the time the RCMP arrived, security had talked him into putting his clothes back on.

Cash is the only son of Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash although he has six half-siblings. He works as a record producer and singer-songwriter, and helped his mom release two of her albums, in 1999 and 2003. He also worked as an associate producer on two of his dad's albums before the singer died more than a decade ago.

Buffy star heading to rehab after embarrassing incident

Although John has opened up in the past about his parents' addictions, he obviously loved them as his parents and doesn't have anything bad to say about them.

"The honest thing is that my parents wanted to help people. That is part of my responsibility, to carry on that legacy," he said in an interview with Reuters back in 2007 while promoting his new book. "Hopefully, the point of the book is long-lasting love, even though it may be through long suffering."

It's not clear if his parents' addiction runs in the family. Because Cash was cooperative with the RCMP, he was held only until he was sober and reportedly caught a flight home on Tuesday morning.

Hugh Jackman's wife says she isn't lucky to have married him.

For the third time in less than a year, Jackman, who played Wolverine in many installments of the X-Men series, has been treated for skin cancer according to People magazine. The actor, who was also seen by doctors for the same reason last November and again in May, recently had a basal cell carcinoma removed.

Jackman is "OK for now," according to his rep, via People, but that hasn't stopped him from spreading the word about sun safety to his fans. On Monday he posted a screenshot on Instagram of the video for spoken-word song "Everybody's Free (To Wear Sunscreen)" and captioned it with "SUNSCREEN!"

This isn't the first time Jackman has taken to social media to help spread awareness concerning skin cancer prevention. Last November, he posted a picture of himself with a bandage on his nose along with a caption about his wife, Deborra Lee-Furness, being his hero and helping him out with early detection. "Deb said to get the mark on my nose checked," he wrote. "Boy, was she right! I had a basil cell carcinoma." Jackman added: "Please don't be foolish like me. Get yourself checked. And USE sunscreen!!!"

In May, Jackman posted another selfie with his face bandaged and the caption: "Another Basel Cell Carsinoma. All out now. Thanks Dr. Albom and Dr. Arian. PLEASE! PLEASE! WEAR SUNSCREEN!".

Jackman may be active in raising awareness for skin cancer, but it's not the only part of the body he feels passionately about keeping cancer-free. At the beginning of October, Jackman posted a picture of himself and a couple of buddies holding their family jewels for the #FeelingNuts campaign, which aims to bring awareness to testicular cancer.

Rita Ora still thinks Calvin Harris was the right man for her

Despite her ugly split from Calvin Harris, Rita Ora still believes in love

"R.I.P." singer Ora opened up in the new issue of Cosmopolitan and admitted that although Harris was the right man for her, it was just the wrong time for the relationship. She added that their busy schedules played a major part in the breakup — she was, understandably, not comfortable with a long-distance relationship.

"It was the right guy at the wrong time," Ora admitted. "I was about to start a tour, and he was also all over the place. There's only so much you can do when you don't see each other"

And despite some cryptic tweets Harris has been posting since the breakup, The Mirror reports there's no bad blood between the two.

"I really admire people who have long-distance relationships," Ora continued. "It's an incredible achievement. I couldn't do it."

Ora and Harris first started dating more than a year ago, in May 2013. They split sometime in spring, something Harris confirmed when he took to Twitter in June to say, "To address speculation - myself and Rita ended our relationship some time ago. She is a beautiful, talented woman & I wish her all the best."

We were left to wonder about the state of their relationship post-breakup, especially after Harris told Ora she couldn't perform a song he'd produced for her at the Teen Choice Awards. Amid that drama, Harris again tried to clear the air via Twitter, telling his followers that they "only know 1 side of the story," and that he had "a damn good reason" for keeping Ora from performing.

Both seem to have moved on since then — Harris is now dating model Aarika Wolf, and Ora is dating Tommy Hilfiger's son, Ricky.
