My fitbit is making me fat — ridiculous claim or actually true?

$
0
0

I remember the first time I saw a Fitbit in action. The woman standing next to me in a kickboxing class shyly lifted up her shirt to show the tiny device clipped to her waistband, complete with a glowing flower. "It tracks everything!" she gushed.

Several months later she was no longer wearing the device. I never asked her why she quit Fitbit but she's one of a growing number of people feeling disillusioned with health tracking gadgets like the Fitbit, the Nike Fuelband and Jawbone Up.

Korie Mulholland, who shared her story with The Today Show, is a perfect example. After losing weight on her own, she bought a Fitbit to help her get over a plateau. Yet even though she walked miles a day and ate the recommended number of calories her weight started to creep back up. "I used it for six months, until I gave up," she says. "It was clearly telling me to eat too much for my specific metabolism and no matter what I did, it just wasn't working right."

More and more users are saying that even though they are following the directions to the letter they're not losing weight, as shown by message boards filling up with frustrated customers.

Yet an inaccurate calculation is only one possible source of the problem. Weight loss and especially maintenance after losing weight is notoriously difficult. For some, working out too much could cause their metabolism to dip while others may be logging miles but not pushing themselves hard enough. Some people need less food than average to operate at good health while others, thanks to genetics, simply need more. Then there are issues like medical conditions, sleep, stress and other variables that affect your metabolism.

Plus, weight is a terrible measure of health. You may gain a few pounds as you put on muscle or lose a few pounds simply from eating a bunch of asparagus and peeing a lot. I also think they can encourage obsessive behavior when people get caught up in getting their numbers "just right."

There are so many variables. Which is why it's surprising to me this outcry didn't happen earlier. The only way to accurately gauge your metabolic rate is to do a test where you breathe into a mask while a computer measures the rate of your oxygen consumption — not something most people want to do on a regular basis. And even then your metabolism can change over time. Health tracking gadgets are good for giving you an overall picture of your diet and fitness and can be positive motivational tools but in the end, they're just estimates.

So if you're one of those people who loves their tracker and sees good results with it, then stick with it. But there's no point wasting money, time or mental energy if your Fitbit is giving you fits.

Sediuk has made headlines for all the wrong reasons, with some of his antics including scaling a barrier at the Maleficent premiere to get to Brad Pitt, looking under America Ferrera's skirt and hugging the crotches of Bradley Cooper and Leonardo DiCaprio. But now it's all over, because the prankster intends to leave Hollywood for good.

America Ferrera gets pranked at Cannes Film Festival >>

"Basically, I'm changing my life. I would like to thank Hollywood for having me this two years and a half. It was an experience that taught me a lot in life. Most importantly, I would like to say sorry for celebrities that had to deal with my stunts and thank them for being tolerant to me all this time," He told The Hollywood Reporter.

And before he leaves, Sediuk wants the world to know that his pranks were not intended to be malicious.

Red carpet prankster strikes again & his victim is Brad Pitt >>

"The motivation behind all my pranks was always positive even when some of them went wrong and were not understood by the public. I came to the decision to move overseas but there's some part of me that will stay in this city. I know you will not miss me," he continued.

So what has made the controversial Ukrainian prankster want to leave Los Angeles? Apparently, he'd like to pursue a modeling career in London.

Among the people who will not miss him include the celebrities he has previously harassed, but perhaps his encounter with Pitt was the final straw, because not only was he slapped with a restraining order, he also got 20 days of community service.

Vanessa Williams reveals more about childhood molestation

She was sexually abused when she was 10 years old and on vacation with a female family friend in California.

Vanessa Williams: I had a teen abortion >>

She shared, "This older girl was one of the cool girls. She made you want to feel like you were a grown-up and that was what made her cool."

The now-51-year-old actress described what happened when her friend sneaked into her room one night. Williams was ordered to lie on the floor and take off the bottoms of her pajamas. That is when the molestation occurred.

"I had no idea what it was, but I knew it felt good and I knew I shouldn't be saying anything and I didn't tell anyone," she said. "I knew it felt good, but also something that was not supposed to be happening."

One thing the former Ugly Betty star did notice is that the event made her "more sexually promiscuous" and "more curious at a younger age than I should have been." Those effects lasted for years.

Vanessa Williams exclusive interview >>

She did not tell her parents what happened on the trip because she returned home to find out her brother had died. The family was coping with his loss, so she suppressed the memory of the sexual abuse.

Williams also expressed the guilt she felt long after the molestation.

"At that young age, having that happen to you in your body, it awakens your sexuality at an age where it shouldn't be awakened," she said. "Had that not happened in my life, and I had an opportunity to have a normal courtship with a boyfriend at 16 or whatever and have your normal first kiss, there wouldn't have been this shame that was kind of always haunting me."

According to ABC News, this is not the first time she has told her story. The actress first told her tale to the public in her 2012 memoir, You Have No Idea.

Man eats pizza

Here, Janssen attempts to find the perfect pizza. Spoiler alert: It absolutely will not have vegetables on it. “To me, this isn’t pizza. This is a bunch of vegetables on crust… it doesn’t taste like pizza.”

And don’t get the wrong idea. He hasn’t eaten nothing but pizza for 25 years. “I’m not an animal,” he says. “I don’t eat everything with my hands.”

Questions you’ll have answered: Does that freezer packed full of pizza have effects on his health? How does his fiancé deal? What would happen if he ate an apple every day? Will he ever get rid of the grease bucket on his stove? Will he ever conquer the dreaded mushroom-laden pizza? Watch to find out.

Man cooks abortion pancake, kills his girlfriend's baby

Prosecutors say that Scott Bollig, 30, of WaKeeney, Kansas, committed first-degree murder and aggravated battery when he crushed a medication over his girlfriend's pancake to induce an abortion. According to The Salina Journal, Bollig is accused of causing Naomi Abbott to lose her fetus on Jan. 31 when he put the drug on her food.

Prosecutor Jessica Domme, an assistant Kansas attorney general, said that Abbott ingested mifepristone, which caused bodily harm with lasting effects like nausea and pain.

On Thursday, WaKeeney Police Chief Terry Eberle said in a testimony that Bollig confessed to putting the drug on her pancake on Jan. 26 or 27. He said Abbott ate about three-fourths of the tainted pancake.

Bollig said he bought the pills over the internet on Jan. 14, and spent $60 for five pills. After Abbott suffered an unintended miscarriage of her 8- to 10-week-old fetus, Bollig said he threw the other four pills away.

Abbott, a prisoner at a Trego County jail, had told others she suspected that Bollig put something in her food to terminate the pregnancy.

Dr. Lyle Noordhoek, a pathologist who performed an autopsy on the fetus, said a blood sample from Abbott had tested positive for mifepristone. He noted that the drug should only be taken under a doctor's supervision due to its risks.

Noordhoek looked at a copy of the instructions that came with the medication and said they seemed to be written by someone for whom English is a second language. The instructions did not meet Food and Drug Administration requirements, he said.

Bollig's attorney, Daniel Walter, questioned investigators during a hearing about the tactics they used when Bollig was interrogated. He asked if the investigators had properly read him his rights or coerced him to make incriminating statements.

Inspiring social media movement supports teen assault victim

iamjada

iamjada

The movement started with her appearance this week on MSNBC's Ronan Farrow Daily where she bravely told her horrific story of being drugged and assaulted, and she posed for a photo next to a whiteboard with #IAMJADA written on it. As the cameras rolled, the tiny girl recounted the horrifying details surrounding the assault.

"I went home and realized my underwear was on backwards,” she said. "And I had a bruise on my eye. I asked what happened, and everyone told me 'don't worry about it.'"

When Jada asked the boy why he posted the image online, he told her he just wanted more followers. And it worked. The image, according to Jada's interview, was re-tweeted many, many times.

Jada's bravery in the face of this kind of humiliation and violence has sparked the latest social media movement in support of women's rights. #IAMJADA, #BRINGBACKOURGIRLS, #YESALLWOMEN and the like have become a way for people to express their collective outrage and fight back against injustice all over the world. #BRINGBACKOURGIRLS has gained such traction as a social movement, the girls' captor, Boko Haram, even put out a video mocking the hashtag.

Social media movements like these certainly have their fair share of critics. What can a silly hashtag do in the face of unimaginable injustice? But social media, even with its character constraints and limited foundation in reality, can provide a sense of common ground. Just as #YESALLWOMEN started some intelligent conversations about the impact of the patriarchy on women's everyday lives, #BRINGBACKOURGIRLS has gotten the attention of the world's most powerful and influential people, including First Lady Michelle Obama.

These posts, and conversations, also serve to let women, who so often are ashamed of being victimized, stand together and refuse to be humiliated for being a victim of a crime. It breaks through the silence.

Show your support for Jada with a post of your own message or image tagged with #IAMJADA. It's a way for all of us to stand up for this little girl and show her attackers and those who mock her pain that we're all watching, and no one is impressed. A crime against any of our girls is a crime against every one of us. #IAMJADA and so are you.

McKellar started her career as the famous child girlfriend on The Wonder Years and was most recently a contestant on Dancing with the Stars. Sveslosky is a partner at at the international law firm, Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton. McKellar's rep confirmed the news to People.

"Scott and I are thrilled," McKellar said in a statement.

Last year, the actress told ABC News she wasn't planning to jump into anything too quickly. She explained, "I'm really focused on being a good mom and if the dating thing happens, then alright."

McKellar was previously married to Mike Verta and has a son — 3-year-old Draco. Sveslosky also has a child, 10-year-old Hunter, from a previous marriage.

Danica McKellar inspires girls to show their smarts >>

The actress has previously come under fire for her parenting style — including the fact that she breastfed her son until he was almost 3 years old. Back in 2013, she explained attachment parenting to Good Morning America.

"Cuddling, being close, you know, sleeping in the same bed sometimes, wearing him in a sling, long-term breastfeeding — all have to have this closeness," she said. "On the other hand, doing everything your child wants you to do right when they want you to do it is another thing. Spoiling them is completely different."

McKellar told People that she and Sveslosky are planning to marry later this year and added, "We are looking forward to merging our families."

JC Penney debuts mannequins with body diversity

$

The real-life people posed for the mannequins as part of The Today Show's "Love Your Selfie" campaign, as a way to broaden the diversity of body types seen in mannequins. And it's about time.

Mannequins have been one of customers' top complaints for years. Two years ago psychotherapist Dae Sheridan started a petition against JC Penney's tiny mannequins in stores.

"The legs on the mannequin were not just 'super-skinny,' they were extraordinarily, shockingly thin. So thin, that the mannequin's leg was the same size as my arm!" she wrote in her letter to the retailer. Even though she got thousands of signatures in support, the store never responded. And JC Penney is far from the only store with this issue.

Plus-sized stores like Lane Bryant have come under fire in recent years for using "straight sized" mannequins and catalog models even though they sell exclusively plus-sized clothing.

Thankfully, popular fashion-fit sites have sprung up where real women model the fashions and describe how they truly fit, addressing whether they run small, are tight in the arms, don't work for large chests, length and other concerns.

Yet despite rising anger, stores have stuck with their tried-and-true (and headless) dolls. It's just not right.

JC Penney debuts mannequins with body diversity

Hopefully this new move isn't just a publicity stunt to reap the benefits of good press without making any lasting changes. Indeed, JC Penney hasn't said whether the mannequins will remain after August. But perhaps even the gesture will help more retailers embrace realistic body types in both their mannequins and in advertising. (Too much to hope for?)

They're certainly off to a good start with Neil Duncan, a former paratrooper in Afghanistan who lost both his legs to an improvised explosive device; Ricardo Gil, who has dwarfism; Desiree Harper, a 6'1" college basketball player; Beth Ridgeway, a plus-sized mother; and Dawna Callahan, who uses a wheelchair due to incomplete paralysis.

Each person has their own inspiring "body story" about how they came to love themselves and their unique shapes. So far the message has really resonated with customers. One female shopper enthused, "I think it's time that stores embrace the fact that we're all different. We come in all different sizes, heights, weights." Amen, sister.

Reports claim the app is set to make $200 million this year alone, of which the buxom beauty gets 45 percent. After businesses expenses, her cut equals somewhere near $85 million, which makes her earnings in 2013 (said to be $28 million) pale in comparison.

It does seem the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star did some work other than agreeing to lend her famous name to the game.

In addition to in-game audio commentary, Kardashian is said to have provided creative feedback, as well as hand-selected most of the outfit options, accessories, hairstyles and other in-game items.

Newlyweds Kim and Kanye are selling their dream home already >>

Why and how could the app this socialite is associated with be so successful? According to one entrepreneur and jewelry designer, people really love to escape their own reality.

"It's almost like living a parallel life," Payal Shah explained to Forbes. "Not that I strive to be an A-List Hollywood celebrity ‎— I have clients that are, so I know what their lives are like. It's a fun escape after a challenging day. The fancy clothes, the stunning villas and apartments, the clubbing and socializing are just a few keystrokes away. Literally while you're lying in bed."

Bloomberg reports that while Kim Kardashian: Hollywood is free to play, the real money is made via in-app purchases, such as on clothing or a burst of energy needed for traipsing through Hollywood.

Rose McGowan explodes on Instagram

Trouble started when someone commented, "You look like Michael Jackson," and Instagram user @Katrinabunny said, "#michaeljackson no more plastic surgery please!" to which McGowan replied, "@Katrinabunny coming from, ummm, you." She followed up with her own comment on the picture which read, "Has anyone stopped to think that Michael Jackson used to be black, and tried to turn himself into a white, possibly Irish person with a cleft chin and tiny nose? I was born Irish. So f*** off losers."

McGowan, who married artist Davey Detail last fall, wasn't finished there. She then posted a side-by-side photo of a young Michael Jackson next to an older, surgically-enhanced Michael Jackson with the caption, "Exactly. You dumb f***s. Eat it." That's eat it, not beat it, in case you weren't paying attention.

Rose McGowan posts a photo of MJ

Rose McGowan posts a photo of MJ

The animosity behind McGowan's response could be due to the fact her plastic surgery is actually reconstructive in nature. She went under the knife in 2007 after a pretty bad car accident. While it's understandable that the former Charmed star would be hurt by nasty comments about her appearance, it's a little unclear why she seems to be attacking MJ.

McGowan is not the first celeb to fight back against social media bullies as of late. Selena Gomez took a stand against a follower earlier this week who commented that the singer should "burn in hell with cancer." Gomez commented back while still taking the high road, saying, "The comment you left about cancer was absurd. How distasteful of a young woman. I have gone through the battle with fans and family members. You can dislike someone but to wish something that could happen to you or your family is uncalled for sweetheart."

In April, model Chrissy Teigen went off on keyboard jockey fat-shamers in a Twitter rant. After some Instagram users made comments about Teigen gaining weight, she sent a series of tweets saying, "Honestly, f*** you all. Why do I even open up anything to you," and, "I don't know why I'm always surprised when you let me down. I gotta get used to this s***...It's amazing to me that I'm told to get over the a**holes but the a**holes are never told to stop being pieces of s***."

PHOTOS: Hey, girl, here's what Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes' baby might look like >>

The actress hasn't been photographed in public for months and a friend told People that she "just hasn't ever wanted anyone beyond her close friends and family knowing more than they had to. And Ryan is certainly private and always has been."

The friend added that Mendes has been living with Gosling in his home in Studio City and the couple decided they had to change their active lifestyles when she began showing.

"Their lives completely changed as soon as Eva got pregnant. They used to travel all over the place together and go on hikes with their dogs."

But Gosling has been the perfect gentleman when it comes to the pregnancy. He reportedly "has been taking care of her, picking up food and running errands," the friend added. "He has been very supportive about keeping things a secret."

Perfect man: Ryan Gosling is pregnant Eva Mendes' chef >>

Mendes was photographed back in March with no noticeable sign of a baby bump and she didn't show up to Cannes where her and Gosling's film, Lost River, premiered back in May. But no matter what, it looks like the parents-to-be are ready for their impending bundle of joy.

"This has been a long time coming," the friend told People. "Ryan and Eva definitely discussed children before. She knows how much he wants to be a dad and he's going to be an amazing father."

If the rumors are true, it looks like Mendes is due in October.

Deliciously nutritious summer citrus quinoa beet salad

Beets are not only super nutritious but super delicious. Oftentimes we overlook beets while shopping in the produce department simply because they can be a bit intimidating or because people aren't familiar with how to prepare them. Although I roasted the beets in this recipe, they can be used raw in everything from smoothies to fresh pressed juices to salads, or they can be roasted to bring out their supersweet and earthy flavor.

Tip: If using the red variety, I would recommend wearing disposable gloves when handling them, especially when roasting, because of the very vibrant juice they produce. The can and will stain your hands and clothing.

It was a hot day in Tennessee, with temperatures rising into the 90s. Bob King, 68 years old, found himself in a dangerous situation — he was trapped inside his own car. The power locks were not working, and he was unable to get himself out. Alone and concerned, King reached out to an unlikely savior: Keith Williams, a 3-year-old boy who stands only 3 feet tall.

Many children Keith's age wouldn't have even noticed a stranger in need, let alone rushed to the rescue. But Keith knew exactly what to do — he reached out to an adult and tried to explain the situation. The adult happened to be his church pastor, Jack Greene.

"He was hot. He was locked in the car," Keith told reporters. And then, smiling proudly from ear to ear, he said: "I saved his life."

Thanks to this little man, King was able to exit his car safely. Keith sure is one cute kid, and he has the intelligence and composure to save a life, too.

In legal documents obtained by TMZ, Skaar is filing for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. The couple does not have any children and, as expected, Skaar is requesting spousal support from her star husband. Even though she may be involved in the glitz and glam of fame through Vartan, it doesn't mean she can't hold her own. Skaar is a real estate agent and even filed for the divorce papers without a lawyer.

6 Reasons the Hank Baskett cheating scandal is super weird

$
0
0

Here are six reasons we think the Hank Baskett cheating scandal is super weird.

1. Baskett supposedly came clean because his mistress passed a lie detector test administered by the National Enquirer. A source told People magazine that Wilkinson confronted Baskett about his affair with London after she received a phone call about it. He denied the allegations... until he found out London had passed a test. "She confronted Hank, [but] he denied it until he found out the woman took a lie detector test and had to admit it," the source said. You're going to fess up to an affair you were previously denying because the person calling you out took a test with the ever-so-reliable National Enquirer? That's just stupid.

Hugh Hefner is supporting Kendra Wilkinson through cheating scandal >>

2. The root of the rumor is untraceable. The story broke that Baskett had cheated on Wilkinson and was credited to the oft-quoted "inside source" and then, magically, London appeared from thin air to give her extremely detailed side of the story. After giving an exclusive on-camera interview to the National Enquirer, London called the cops on reporters who were trying to buy surveillance tape from her property manager to prove that Baskett had been on her property, according to TMZ. What's weird here is that the surveillance would have corroborated London's story, so you think she would be all for it, but instead she claims the reporters are harassing her. She must think all the public needs is a tell-all with the Enquirer to believe her word is gold.

3. Sources said that Wilkinson chucked her ring down the toilet. OK, no matter how angry you are, no person in their right mind would flush their wedding ring, especially if it's probably worth a pretty penny. Wilkinson has since been seen wearing her ring and Baskett is reportedly back at home, so neither the ring nor the marriage has gone down the porcelain throne quite yet. So, where did this very specific, yet obviously untrue, story come from?

4. London claims Baskett left $2,000 in a coffee cup by the pool at her apartment. London told the National Enquirer that Baskett left the rather sizable amount of hush money outside when she refused to meet him at a nearby gas station. Meanwhile, the former NFL star was rumored to be staying at a Good Night Inn in Calabasas, California, which isn't exactly the Ritz Carlton.

5. London's actual occupation is unclear: The YouTuber claims she is a model, but she accepted a $500 "gift" from Baskett on the day they allegedly engaged in mutual masturbation, which sounds a little bit like prostitution. Baskett is not the first celeb to be accused of frequenting a hooker, so let's just call it what it is.

6. Neither Baskett or Wilkinson has addressed the issue publicly. The couple has remained mum about the topic so far. It's been almost a month and it seems by now they would have at least released an apology statement or a denial through a rep, if only to clear the air and quiet internet rumors.

What do you think? Did Baskett cheat? Is he totally innocent or is it possible that London has him on the hook for something else?

What even? Shameless taps Dermot Mulroney for Season 5

Yikes! Emmy Rossum's so hot, she almost missed out on Shameless >>

What's with pairing Dermot Mulroney with younger chicks?

Mulroney as a sort of cradle-robbing sugar daddy isn't a new thing. Most recently, we witnessed him work his charm on New Girl. He played one of Jess' students' dads and had a multi-episode arc as her boyfriend prior to her inevitable and oh-so-perfect hook-up with Nick. Sure, he played a super-nice guy. He was even a gem to Nick when he got drunk and acted so clearly in love with Jess. Now, he's going after Fi? This is too much...

What about Jimmy/Steve?

After remaining absent and believed dead during all of Season 4, Fi's ex, Jimmy/Steve, made a last-second appearance outside the Gallagher house in the last few moments of the Season 4 finale. With a new car, yet another new name and a new girl at his side, he looked longingly at the house. But he ultimately decided not to disturb the family just yet. He's continually effed over Fiona, but we continually root for him. We don't like the idea of another season where we don't get to see his naked butt when he and Fi are having sex. Can we get an amen?

That time Dermot Mulroney was on New Girl >>

And what about Jeffrey Dean Morgan?

If Fiona must not be with Jimmy/Steve just yet, we've eagerly anticipated a hook-up with her new boss, played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan. After all of Fiona's legal troubles this season, Fiona went from having an awesome job to having a rough time finding work at all... even babysitting for people who used to always trust her. Luckily, her parole officer knew a guy. That kind, accepting dude was a super-hot Morgan. We know from Grey's Anatomy that Morgan is sexy as hell. We wanted that. We wanted it bad.

Can Fiona just chill out and close her legs for a bit?

Fiona has, in essence, gone from one hot dude to another, sometimes without even ending her last relationship. We get it. Fiona needs a hand. And she's still looking for the male attention and approval she never got from Frank. However, she's old enough now to recognize that behavior. As much as we love a good sex scene, we'd also love to see her take some downtime and regroup from everything that happened in Season 4.

What do you think? Are you stoked about this possible new "love interest" or are you just not feeling it? And are you annoyed entirely because it's Mulroney... or just because it's not Jimmy/Steve? Sound off in the comments.

INTERVIEW: Zach Braff's crowdsourced film Wish I Was Here may frighten Hollywood

There are so many delightful moments in this movie that Zach Braff is rightfully proud of, but we really wanted to know which scene was Braff's favorite.

"The scene between Mandy Patinkin and Kate Hudson in the hospital room. I think of it as a chess match. I set up who Mandy is as a person, I set up who Kate as a person and it's almost like you're just waiting for them to have it out, and they finally have a scene and the scene is so simple.

"The movie has a lot of big moments — traveling moments, crane shots, all those surreal fantasies. Here you have two actors sitting still and the camera barely moves. I think it's one of the most powerful scenes in the movie."

5 Reasons we love Zach Braff >>

We also wanted to know why Braff was so passionate about making this movie on his own terms and avoiding the studio system.

"Garden State worked so well. It was my first film but everyone in Hollywood passed on it. No one wanted to make it. I finally found this rich sugar daddy who bet on me and we made it and it was a ginormous hit. I thought, well, you've got to go with your gut even when everyone else says no. That was a giant lesson.

"When this [movie] happened and I couldn't find a sugar daddy, obviously I invested my own money into it, but that wasn't enough to pay for the whole movie. Then this innovation happened, the idea of crowdfunding."

Get in line girls, Zach Braff is single again >>

Braff said he didn't want to go against what worked the first time, but he didn't want the creative decisions to be put into the hands of the investors who might edit the film according to test screenings.

"That's not art to me. So, that's why I rolled the dice and tried this experiment and if it didn't work, I thought it [would] be humbling. I can handle that. But I didn't know it would happen in 48 hours and that we'd have the response that we had. It's been thrilling."

Talk about timing! Zach Braff photobombs wedding pic >>

So, should Hollywood be frightened of other crowdsourced films? Only time will tell. It mostly depends on box-office success. But, as an indie filmmaker, Braff has very strong feelings about why he doesn't want to work in the studio system.

"[Movie studios] are beholden to shareholders who want a sure thing. A Marvel movie is a sure thing, it's going to make money. Granted, [Wish I Was Here] is for a smaller audience, it isn't a blockbuster. Betting on smaller things is riskier than spending big bucks on more sure bets. Sadly, that's just the way the movie industry is these days."

Wish I Was Here opens in theaters on July 18.

Amid the couple's divorce filing after six months of marriage, the pair has been spotted getting up close and personal and enjoying a steamy smooch in Malibu, California, on Wednesday, igniting rumors that they may just reconcile.

Pam Anderson files for divorce after only six months of marriage >>

The 47-year-old actress submitted court documents to dissolve her marriage to her poker player husband earlier this month, but if the recent PDA is anything to go by, then she may have changed her mind — at least, for the time being.

According to TMZ, the couple looked to be very much in love.

Pamela Anderson reveals horrific history of sexual abuse >>

"Pam felt the only thing she could do at this point in her relationship and marriage to Rick was to file for divorce because of his wild partying," a source revealed to the gossip site. ''They love each other, but it's always a roller coaster with Pam and Rick. No one should be shocked if they reconcile.'

"Since she filed for divorce, Rick has been begging Pam to halt the divorce proceedings."

The pair certainly has enough history together: They got married for the first time at The Mirage in Las Vegas, Nevada, in October 2007, but requested to have that marriage annulled the following February, citing fraud as the reason.

Pamela Anderson remarries her ex-husband >>

Then they decided that they couldn't live without each other and remarried last January. Could a third marriage be on the cards? Apparently, their wedding rings are back on, the Daily Mail reports.
