Tortilla crusted chicken with green chile gravy

Every once in a while, I try to get out of the house for a date night. Those nights are starting to happen less and less with our busy schedules. I decided to bring the date night to us with a night in. This tortilla-crusted chicken packs a nice, crusty layer on the outside while being moist on the inside. Smother it with green chile gravy and cheese to complete this dish.

Grab a glass of wine and your significant other for a comforting chicken meal made in your kitchen.

For the chicken

  1. Add the chips to a food processor, and pulse until well chopped.

Bethenny Frankel in, Jenny McCarthy out at The View?

Now that Barbara Walters has officially retired from The View, it looks like ABC is trying to fill her big chair. Rumors have been heating up that Bethenny Frankel is in talks to take her place.

The news was reported by Rob Shuter of VH1's The Gossip Show that the former Bravo TV star may join the Hot Topics table.

Bethenny Frankel's bitter custody battle officially over >>

A source revealed to Shuter, "The View is looking for someone to spice up the show. Someone with lots of opinions and a big personality, and Bethenny is at the top of the list."

The show and Frankel's management are reportedly in talks, but no deal has been reached yet. The TV personality just faced the cancellation of her self-titled daytime show after one season. A seat at the roundtable would be perfect for Frankel since she's experienced, but doesn't have to shoulder the burden of leading a show by herself.

The insider told the host that Frankel is "very interested in getting back on TV. It is the only job that she really knows. She is telling friends that she thinks she can save The View."

VIDEO: Cat fight! Omarosa versus Bethenny Frankel >>

In addition to the Frankel news, FOX411 is reporting that Jenny McCarthy's contract will not be renewed for next season.

A source told the site, "Jenny just didn't appeal to the daytime audience market. They couldn't relate to her. There are a lot of changes taking place now that Barbara [Walters] has left."

With ratings down, the chat show is definitely looking to shake things up once it returns to the air after a summer hiatus.

R. Kelly opens up about transgender son — sort of

Earlier this month, it was revealed that R. Kelly's 14-year-old child came out as transgender and changed his name to Jay, but his dad wasn't offering much support. R. Kelly spoke with radio station 107.5 WGCI in Chicago, but didn't open up completely about the news.

Mom story: My son is transgender >>

"You don't really wanna open it up by saying my daughter is becoming my son," he said. "Don't even give the blogs that kind of credit."

According to MTV, Jay has spoken about his life on his Ask.fm account, but R. Kelly didn't exactly acknowledge his son in his interview. He actually almost tried to downplay the news.

"Always believe what you see, with your own eyes, that is," he said. "Always believe what you see. That's the best way to go about this business. I've heard a lot of things about a lot of people. It was never true."

Jay had said, "My dad has not reached out." But he added that his mother "was very proud of me."

But R. Kelly did open up about his personal life and explained that everything he has done, he has done for his kids. That includes getting rid of his mansion for a more modest home so he could save money.

Lady Gaga releases "Do What U Want" featuring R. Kelly >>

"You save money so your kids can go to college — no matter what they are or who they are," he said. "They're still your kids; you love 'em, you gotta support them. At the end of the day, it's not about me no more. It's about three lovely, lovely kids that I'm in love with and that's in love with me."

American stores debut the new "triple zero" clothing size

Is it terrible that my first thought was, "Who are the other 20 percent? And how can I learn their secret??" So of course the recent announcement of some American brands adding the size "000" is as relevant to our self-esteem as it is to our pocketbooks.

An anonymous Los Angeles sourcetold Grazia that "although there are thankfully curvier role models out there, from Kim Kardashian to Beyoncé, it's a cut-throat industry and it's no secret that stars can make headlines out of being scarily skinny. It's not about size zero anymore. These days, double-zero sizes don't cut it either. Size triple zero is the number-one goal here."

For the vast majority of women, this would mean becoming dangerously unhealthy. A size triple zero has a waist measurement that growth charts consider normal for a 5- to 6-year-old child. One personal trainer quoted in the article describes the no-such-thing-as-too-skinny trend, saying, "Their weight struggles become their story.[...] When you lose weight too quickly or too severely, it just doesn't work. The public may look at these women and see thinness, but they don't see the injury, pain and hunger."

And it's hard to ignore the gold stars people are awarded for weight loss, no matter how skinny they get. With celebs posting ultra-thin pics on social media and magazines showing the most minor flaws with a zoom lens, I can see how women get the idea that we're only the sum of our body parts and everyone is scrutinizing us at all times.

Then there is the matter of how atrociously we treat overweight people in our society. So many times people have sadly noted how much better they are treated after losing weight, even though they're the exact same person inside.

Everyone loses when we play the skinny game. When our weight becomes the thing that defines us we lose our self-esteem, we lose money, we lose friends and lovers, we lose hobbies and even sometimes our lives.

A "size zero" has become such an emotionally charged term that it hardly feels like a descriptor of clothing anymore but rather a woman's worth. And now a "triple zero?" When do we draw the line and say "enough?" I vote now.

Farmers market farro salad with citrus recipe|

Farro is a delicious grain that's often overlooked. This ancient grain, which is harvested from wheat, offers a slightly sweet, nutty flavor and holds up perfectly in this dish. I added fresh fruits, tangy feta and crunchy seeds to add textures and a variety of flavors to this healthy lunch-friendly salad. It packs well and can be made ahead of time, making it perfect for barbecues and picnics too.

Farmers market farro salad with citrus recipe

Farmers market farro salad recipe

Serves 8

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups cooked farro
  • 2 cups arugula
  • 2 large navel oranges, segmented
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 cucumber, diced
  • 1 cup snap peas, chopped
  • 1/2 cup favorite salad dressing (balsamic, lemon or Italian would work well)
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 1/4 cup pumpkin seeds
  • 1 avocado, pitted and diced

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine the farro, arugula, oranges, strawberries, red onions, snap peas and cucumbers. Drizzle in your favorite salad dressing, and toss the salad well to evenly coat with the dressing.
  2. Pour the salad into a large serving dish, and top with the crumbled feta, raisins, pumpkin seeds and diced avocado.
  3. Serve immediately, or keep chilled until ready to serve.

Tip: If you make this salad ahead of time, then follow the directions as listed, but leave out the avocado. The avocado tends to turn brown and doesn't look very appetizing. Plan on adding it just before serving.

Kesha on her rehab stay: My message is to love who you are

Kesha surprised everyone by checking into a rehab program earlier this year. In the new issue of Teen Vogue, she is opening up to dispel any rumors out there about her condition and why she was there.

Kesha is back! Healthy and happier than before >>

"Let's just get the elephant out of the room. My eating disorder is something I've been struggling with for a while," she explained, according to E! News. "People will make up stories, but I went to rehab for an eating disorder — nothing more and nothing less. I decided to face my problem head-on."

The singer has been looking gorgeous and healthy since checking out of the center and she has a new positive attitude on life. She even changed her name (by removing her signature "$") and Twitter handle.

"My whole message is to love who you are and accept all your beautiful imperfections," she said. "When I felt I was slipping into unloving territory with myself, I knew I had to listen to my own advice and correct it. I felt I needed to get help, not only for myself but also for my fans. My worst fear in life is to be fake."

Kesha's mom checked into the center with her as support, but the Rising Star judge said working in the entertainment industry was what caused her issues with her body image. She explained, "It really messed with my head, and I realized I couldn't do it by myself. The decision to take control of it is the scariest thing I've ever done, and this is coming from someone who dives with sharks and jumps out of airplanes for fun."

PHOTOS: Kesha stuns at the Billboard Music Awards red carpet >>

Her time in rehab had more than just a positive influence on herself, it also made an impact on her music. The singer said she wrote 14 new songs during the two months in rehab.

"The whole process has made me so much stronger and ready to take my life by the horns and make a record that I'm going to be proud of and not care what anybody else thinks!"

Satisfaction Photo credit: USA

The blue skies network, USA, is exploring the gray with its new series, Satisfaction. Everyone thinks the rules of their marriage are black and white, but what happens when one partner doesn't see things quite so defined? In this exclusive clip, Neil Truman comes home from work to find his wife having sex with another man. How does he react? By going after a little side action of his own... and going after the man he found in his bedroom.

How FX is pushing boundaries with Married >>

All signs point to Satisfaction being one satisfying summer sizzler. In recent promos, we've seen a collection of television tropes we love: cheating, fighting, hooking up and a marriage we desperately want to see work out. Added bonus: wall sex and Matt Passmore shirtless... and talking about his, ahem, package. The only thing keeping us from throwing our panties at the screen is the laptop in our laps. As if summer isn't hot enough already, Satisfaction is already leaving us sweaty under the collar. We can't wait to see what kind of scandal USA will throw at us in the premiere season, but we're ready to eat it up.

5 Reasons Chasing Life is just OK >>

The lineup is rife with talent, too. USA and The Glades alum, Matt Passmore, plays our leading man and "cheating" husband. Even though he's not using his native Australian accent, we still find him oh-so-sexy. His wife and the lady in charge of kicking off the sexcapades is Stephanie Szostak, from The Devil Wears Prada. Added bonus: The dude Mrs. Truman is hooking up with is none other than Blair Redford, from Switched at Birth. With such an attractive cast, we'll keep watching as long as people are getting nekkid.

Ready for the fun? Satisfaction premieres July 17 at 10/9c on USA.

North Korea calls The Interview an "act of terror"

After a North Korean spokesperson issued a statement denouncing Seth Rogen and James Franco's new film, The Interview, leader Kim Jung-un decided to make his own declaration about the film — and it's not a good one.

The Interview: Seth Rogen and James Franco finally say "I love you" >>

A spokesman for the foreign ministry of North Korea issued an official statement calling the movie about the North Korean leader's assassination a "wanton act of terror" and said there will be a "resolute and merciless response" if the U.S. doesn't ban the film.

The Interview stars Rogen and Franco as tabloid journalists who are invited to North Korea, then hired by the CIA to kill Jong-un.

According to Yahoo, a spokesman for North Korea released a statement to North Korea's official news agency, KCNA, and said the film was the work of "gangster moviemakers" and should not be released.

"The act of making and screening such a movie that portrays an attack on our top leadership... is a most wanton act of terror and act of war, and is absolutely intolerable," the spokesman said.

Rogen spoke recently with Yahoo Movies about writing the script after seeing the access journalists have to world leaders. He said, "We read as much as we could that was available on the subject. We talked to people in the government whose job it is to associate with North Korea, or be experts on it."

Shhh, Seth Rogen: "Piece of s***" Biebs has something to say >>

He joked about the threats on Twitter on Wednesday, June 25.

The Interview is due in theaters on Oct. 14.

EXCLUSIVE: Kelly Osbourne addresses rumors about her "two boyfriends"

When you grow up the offspring of rock and roll royalty, you most likely get your fair share of media coverage and paparazzi stalkers. Some people get angry with the exposure, some become jaded. But not Kelly Osbourne, who has developed a refreshingly-healthy outlook about the press she receives, including speculation about the personal details of her love life.

Kelly Osbourne says there's no drama in her breakup >>

"I woke up yesterday morning and I have two boyfriends," said the daughter of Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne about the most recent rumor she heard about herself. "I was like, 'Oh that's cool! That's really cool! Thank you... thanks for making me look cool.' But where do they even get this from? I have not one, but two boyfriends, according to media," she continued, seeming genuinely tickled at the misinformation.

Osbourne is most likely referencing the latest gossip making the rounds claiming that she is hot and heavy with Puff Daddy's stepson, Quincy Combs, and also has her eye on a British model named Ricki Hall.

The Fashion Police co-host, who is set to play a flight attendant in the upcoming Sharknado sequel, has been kicking around the entertainment biz long enough to know how everything works and her pragmatic approach to understanding the industry seems to keep her sane. "I know all the tricks, I know all of what goes on behind the scenes and if you really knew, you couldn't take it seriously," Osbourne said of growing up dealing with the pressures of Hollywood. "People are going to say whatever they want. It's just gossip. It sells magazines. It makes people money. You've just got to pay no attention to it. Unless some of it is really untrue and goes against your beliefs; then, say something."

Ms. Osbourne is already so awesome on her own, she doesn't need the rumor mill to make her look any cooler.

When Rob Lowe set off for his vacation home in France six days ago, he was probably expecting more relaxation than adventure, but Mother Nature had other plans in store.

Angelina Jolie visits Pakistan flood victims >>

The Parks and Recreation star and his family had to be rescued from raging waters surrounding their home in Grasse, France, after the area received about three months' worth of rainfall in four hours on Wednesday, according to Yahoo Celebrity. Though their lives may have been in peril, Rob and his youngest son, Johnowen, were still able to take some snaps of the commotion and share on social media.

Rob posted a photo of rushing water to Instagram with the caption, "This is right outside the house. Was twice as high at the worst, just before sunrise."

Johnowen, 18, posted a video on Instagram with the caption, "That's the first floor of our house submerged. Scariest hour or so of my life, also sorry for the explicit language.  #theboyssurvivedaflood." The footage shows strong swirling waters taking out a full-grown tree.

The younger Lowe shared another photo on Twitter with a note of thanks to first responders who came to their aid.

It's a relief that the Lowe family made it out of the flood relatively unscathed because we know that even celebrities are not immune to natural disasters. During the 2004 tsunami in Thailand, supermodel Petra Nemcova suffered a broken pelvis and was forced to cling to a palm tree until she was rescued. Her fiancé, Simon Atlee, was swept away by the waters.

Julianna Margulies' apartment floods after big photo shoot >>

Rob is admittedly protective and attached to his family. In his memoir, Love Life, the actor recalled the pain of his older son, Matthew, leaving the nest and compared his offspring leaving for college to when his parents divorced during his own childhood.

Amelia Earhart attempts to fly around the world "again"

Amelia Rose Earhart poses with her aircraft

Photo credit: The Amelia Earhart Project

When Amelia Earhart set out in 1937 to fly around the globe, she had no idea of the legacy she would leave behind.

Sure, there is the fascinating mystery of her disappearance. That's absolutely kept people baffled for years. But, more importantly, there's the awesome legacy of a woman flying an aircraft, which was virtually unheard of at the time. Amelia was one of a few gals kicking butt in the male-dominated world of aviation.

Now, 77 years later, Amelia Rose Earhart is following in the legend's footsteps. The 31-year-old has spent her whole life convincing people that, although there is no blood relation with the original Amelia Earhart, they really do share a name. They also share a passion: flight. On June 2, this Amelia did the OG Earhart proud, celebrating the 10th anniversary of her very first flight. And on June 26, she plans to take off from Oakland, Calif., and complete the journey her namesake started.

"I want to encourage women and girls to take risks, and to have adventures," she said. The flight will benefit the Fly With Amelia Foundation, which provides scholarships and funding to girls passionate about aviation.

Woman with wings

So where did this passion begin? Earhart began flying at the age of 21. "I came to it later for reasons that were mostly financial," she said. "I worked other jobs, I worked at golf courses, I waitressed." After saving her pennies, she took to the sky. Amelia Rose and fan

Photo credit: The Amelia Earhart Project

Of course, a lot has changed since the first Amelia set out on her journey. The route Earhart will be flying is slightly different than the original route — political climates in certain countries make it unsafe. The plane, Pilatus PC¬12 NG, will also be equipped with a 200-gallon back-up fuel tank to ensure a smooth journey.

Because I am a giant nerd, I asked her what sort of snacks she would be packing for the trip. Amelia laughed, "It's a lot like packing snacks for a road trip," she said. "A lot of granola, stuff that's high in protein. Also, Sour Patch Kids," she admitted. "Some of these stretches of time in the air are loooooong," she said. "One will be about nine hours."

I asked her if she worried about being bored or staying in touch with folks on the ground. "Luckily our iPhones will be working at certain altitudes," she said.

Completing this route around the world will make Amelia the youngest woman to have done so. But I wondered what the personal takeaway was for her. "In every successful flight," she said, "you want to open a flight plan and close a flight plan. Amelia never had the chance to close hers, and I want to do that for her."

So what words of wisdom would Amelia pass on to any aspiring lady aviators? "You only have to get into a plane once," she said, "and you'll know if it's for you. Once you know that, you can't let anything get in your way."

Track Amelia's progress on her website and on Twitter using #flywithamelia.

A big part of a prince's job is to do good across the world, but for Prince Harry, it appears to be more than just a job. The prince let his emotional side show while out meeting children on a seven-day trip to South America.

10 Modern families that are making a difference through activism >>

Prince Harry was on the continent to meet with ACER, the Association of Support for Children at Risk, a Brazilian charity. According to E! News, the organization's purpose is to help children who have lost one or both of their parents.

Prince Harry was only 12 years old when he lost his own mother, Princess Diana, in a car crash, and he couldn't help but relate to the children he was meeting with.

"There are two little girls — I'm quite emotional — just looking at them, I wanted to talk about my own experiences," Harry told reporters. "But there is no point because it is just so far removed."

The little girls from São Paolo had lost their mother to murder and their father to jail, and were being raised by their grandmother. Harry said he didn't feel it was fair to compare his own experiences with theirs.

"The bravery of them looking at me, smiling at me... I wanted to use my own experiences in a very small way to try to give them a bit of understanding about the fact [that] I see what [they're] going through," he explained. "But you hear the stories and think that's nothing to what they have been through."

Prince Harry launches sporting event for injured troops >>

Prince Harry admitted to tearing up while he was visiting with the children, saying he was "completely overwhelmed and shocked. I've never blubbed in public as far as I can remember, but I was pretty damn close. It was amazing to hear those stories."

The newly-single prince also did some sightseeing while he was in Brazil and he attended a few World Cup games. He also visited a rain forest where he planted some saplings and talked about preserving the environment in the area.

Everyday inspiration: Organize a cluttered space

Challenge: Organize a cluttered space

Why? Watch an episode of Hoarders. Then browse the beautifully organized and labeled shelves and pantries on Pinterest. An organized, clutter-free space is like a mental breath of fresh air.

Makeup drawer | Sheknows.com

Lauren: When SheKnows presented me with the challenge of organizing a cluttered space, I knew exactly which disheveled area of my life I was going to take on: my makeup drawer. You know, the one full of old foundations, discolored and cracked eye shadows and more impulse buys than I care to admit. (I can totally pull off purple eyeliner — with the right outfit it will be perfect... ummm, no!) It had gotten to the point that I couldn't even close the drawer all the way. So I grabbed a garbage bag and got to work. I tossed out anything I hadn't used in a while. (That coral sparkly lipstick is never going to work, as much as I wanted it to.) I didn't have the heart to take a "before" picture. You would have probably put me on the show Hoarders if I had. But after about an hour of organizing and cleaning (note to self: wash makeup brushes more than once a year from now on), my drawer is clutter-free and everything is exactly where I need it. I can't even tell you how happy it makes me to get ready in the morning with my perfectly organized makeup drawer. Now who wants to help me tackle my closet?

Deborah: We moved into our house a year and a half ago and we lost a basement in the move. I loved my basement; it had lots of storage area. Last weekend, we finally emptied our storage unit. There was no way all of that stuff was going to fit. We've been filling the space with new things. So, I had a garage sale. As I sold stuff, I packed the stuff up that we were keeping and shelved it in the attic, all marked with sizes and who they belonged to. Everything else, we are donating to the homeless shelter. This is how I organize. I get rid of stuff.

Kerry: I know people say to let go of the cleaning and the clutter. With a full-time job, commute and three active kids, the free time I have is limited and I really don't want to spend it cleaning. Still, I know when I stare at chaos, it makes me stressed. So, every so often, I tackle a drawer, a table, a countertop. This week, my office desk was in need of some TLC. I decided to spend just 10 minutes filing and piling and tossing. The end result? A presentable desk, clear mind and full trash bin.

Akilah's Room | Sheknows.com

Akilah: My room is tiny. I'd say it's small, but that would be a complete understatement. Basically, my room can fit a queen-sized bed, a shelf unit and a small desk. It's not a lot, but New York is not cheap and I'm not here that much anyway.

That said, this big pile of projects that never came to fruition only makes the room seem that much smaller. I had put off digging through the clothes/papers/framed artwork/musical instruments/cameras etc. for so long because I knew it would become a much bigger task than I wanted, but I bit the bullet and did it. The biggest saving grace here was my brand-new desk. It gave me room to display the things I'd always wanted to, while the storage space helped to get some stuff off the floor.

Mission accomplished.

INTERVIEW: Sarah Hyland and Turbo FAST pay homage to Gossip Girl

SheKnows recently caught up with Modern Family star, Sarah Hyland, and chatted with her about all things animated, including her work on Turbo FAST and her love of DreamWorks. The super-talented and sweet star had plenty to share, especially about her excitement over her role in Turbo FAST, where she's voicing Gossip Snail.

Sarah Hyland on Modern Family's gasp-worthy finale >>

"I'm a huge fan of DreamWorks," Hyland shared when we asked her why she signed on to the show. "And the movie Turbo itself was really good. So, when I heard about it I was like, 'Yes. I don't even know who I'm playing, but yes.'"

That "yes" turned out to be especially fun for Hyland, as she's playing the cartoon version of Gossip Girl, an old high-school favorite.

"I found out I would be playing Gossip Snail, which is a form of Gossip Girl pretty much," Hyland explained. "So I thought that that would be fun because me and my friends in high school would always have the joke of, 'XOXO, Gossip Girl.'"

A snail version of Gossip Girl? Sounds pretty awesome to us. The star shared a little more about the show and her character, who unbeknownst to her actually helps stop a robbery in progress. Even the original Gossip Girl never managed something like that.

Yikes! Sarah Hyland gets groped by a fan >>

"There are these two robber snails who go into the camp to rob it, but Gossip Snail comes on and they get distracted," said Hyland. "So, they end up watching Gossip Snail and I play Gossip Snail's voice. So, I play the voice that they're watching and it's an homage to Gossip Girl kind of. She says, 'Hugs and kisses, Gossip Snail.' And it's got the whole drama factor to it. So, it was a lot of fun to play because I got to play a voice of something that I watched as a teenager."

As excited as we are for the episode, we thought Turbo FAST might need a little bit of selling, as it's an animated kids series. However, Hyland assured us that the show caters to everyone, from kids to even former Gossip Girl fans.

"I think it's really funny," Hyland shared. "It's kid-friendly, but it also has jokes I think parents and adults will find funny. DreamWorks always has a great sense of playing to all ages and I think that's what's really great about it."

Now that Hyland has done voice acting and onscreen acting, we couldn't help but ask whether she ended up liking the chance to do voice acting. After all, the two are fairly different and a lot of actors complain about the isolation when in the studio. For the laid-back actress, the time spent off-camera is actually kind of nice.

"You get to come in with no makeup on," Hyland teased. "That is a really big thing, actually. You don't have to come in two hours early to go through hair and makeup and wardrobe. And you really get to just concentrate and focus on the acting of it and just make sure that it's portrayed through your voice, which I really love."

Turbo FAST isn't the only animation Hyland gets behind. She loved Shrek and even took part in the Shrek: The Musical workshop when she was younger. Lately, though, she's been obsessed with Frozen. She shared that she's super excited for the Broadway musical to happen and can't wait to see what new Disney magic they can bring to the stage. However, when we asked her if she'd ever want to be a part of the show, she was hesitant to answer for fear of jinxing something.

We also know Hyland loves to sing and couldn't help asking if an album might be in her future.

"I'm not coming out with an album or anything. I'm an actress first and foremost," Hyland said. "I did a lot of musical theater when I lived in New York. It's hard to do that out here in L.A. because there's not much of it. So, I still sing in my car and shower. I love singing, it's a huge part of my life. But, I'm definitely not going to be coming out with my own album or anything."

So, an album is out of the question, but it definitely sounds like Hyland might be ready for some more animated roles. We can't wait to see what's next for Hyland and to finally witness her voice work in Turbo FAST on Netflix this Friday, June 27. Her episode is called "Home on our Own" and we're sure she does an awesome job.

Viral Instagram encourages fashion and media to "get real"

If you've watched any commercials, looked at any magazine ads or turned on your TV, then you've probably seen this new archetype of femininity — the girl who looks like a model but eats like a frat boy. But is this very realistic? A viral Instagram account called You Did Not Eat That aims to pull the curtain back on this scary trope.

You Did Not Eat That posts pictures of impossibly thin women and ripped men posing with decadent foods. Often the foods are poised to go into a happy, open mouth... but you never see an actual bite taken. The commentary is little — some pictures have short captions — but what makes the Instagram so popular are all the reactions from readers. It's like we're all collectively screaming I knew it!!!

This is exactly why the account was created, says the woman behind it, who has so far remained anonymous. "I've worked in media and fashion for almost 10 years," she explains in an interview with The Cut. "I feel like blogs have certainly changed everything, you know, in the lifestyle people are presenting — it's just spiraled into the absurd. All these girls who wear the most expensive outfit that they have — probably borrowed or gifted. They troll the West Village or Venice, or somewhere, [buying] "chic" lashings from different pastry shops, taking pictures in their Valentino Rockstud Stilettos. Ughhh. I call it The Emperor's New Clothes syndrome: Everybody just says, Oh my God, you look amazing. But nobody's really actually saying, Get real. And we should."

Indeed, the woman says her breaking point came when she watched dozens of bloggers swarming a dessert table, taking pictures and spending five minutes merchandising the sunglasses next to the macaroons. "Then they walked away and nothing was eaten. It was so contrived!"

So she set up You Did Not Eat That to show the chicanery behind the chic. But it's not about calling out specific people or even thin body types and setting them up for ridicule. "If you're a size zero, and you're frolicking in a tiny bikini on the beach, you probably did not eat the doughnuts that you posed with the sunglasses," she says, echoing what the rest of us are thinking. "It's just presenting this curated life that's beautiful and perfect and totally unrealistic. More power to you for rocking that! You look awesome! Don't lie about how you got there! It's fine."

And it's not just bloggers and Hollywood types being deceptive. This mentality has trickled down to the mainstream. I remember one day at the mall, with my 2-month-old baby in tow, eying the sale racks sadly and wondering if I'd ever fit back in my normal clothes. And then I saw a gorgeous, thin woman with twin infants about my baby's size picking up extra-small tops and happily hanging them off the handles of her double stroller. I'm embarrassed to say I basically stalked her through the store. Maybe they're adopted? Maybe she's a nanny? Maybe she's just a freak of nature with a metabolism like a Ferrari?

Finally my internal chatter got to me and I spoke to her. After the obligatory chatter about our babies, I just asked her: How did you do it? She nonchalantly waved her hand and mumbled something about yoga with her babies. I was crushed. I did yoga and Pilates every day and I didn't look anything close to what she did. I'd wanted her to just tell me the truth, even if the truth was that she was genetically blessed, stuck to a perfect diet or even was addicted to Adderall.

I don't think she meant it to be rude. In fact, I think I probably embarrassed her and caught her off guard. But I think it says a lot about our society that I felt so compelled to ask her such a personal question and she felt so compelled to answer dismissively. And if a picture says a thousand words, then the Instagram of a model holding a pink frosted doughnut on her lap, hovering over her eight-inch thigh gap, pretty much sums up how I felt.

Do bloggers have a duty to be scrupulously honest with their readers? Especially when mainstream media so pointedly isn't? Is it our duty as women to be honest with each other? These are questions we're still trying to figure out but in the meantime, I'm still nodding along with You Did Not Eat That and feeling a tiny bit better.

INTERVIEW: Lydia Hearst gets bludgeoned by sex toy in Cabin Fever: Patient Zero

Doe-eyed Lydia Hearst admits she was a huge fan of the horror genre even before making Cabin Fever: Patient Zero. "I absolutely love horror films; I'm what you’'d call a horror movie fanatic!"

The Conjuring movie review: Got demons?

In the movie, Hearst plays Bridgett, a medical researcher helping to develop a "virucide" to combat a disgusting flesh-eating virus that is gruesomely killing people. In addition to eating a person's flesh, the virus causes the human body to bleed out and projectile vomit. Early in the film, Bridgett gets showered with vomit by an infected man in a truly gut-wrenching scene. We asked Hearst if the experience was as nasty as it looked.

"We were having a lot of fun rehearsing the scene out of costume and without the vomit. Then, there was that moment in production when it all became very real. When you see me getting vomited on and I'm screaming and I'm trying to run out of the room, there's that genuine moment of real fear. But it just added another layer of fun to it, I loved it!"

In fact, there was so much fake blood on the set, Hearst slipped and fell as she ran out of the scene. "They cut [the shot] out of the film, but hopefully, there will be a director's cut with a bonus section where you can see how it all played out in reality," Hearst said.

Every fan of horror knows that very few characters make it to the end of the movie alive, so it's not much of a spoiler to say that Hearst's character also dies. But the weapon used to kill her is quite unusual. Bridgett gets clubbed to death with a giant, black dildo. We asked Hearst what she thought about her unique murder apparatus when she first read the script.

Masters of Sex creator talks vintage dildos, wedding bells and being gay in the 1950s >>

"I thought it was funny. You have to sort of take it with a grain of salt and you can't take yourself too seriously when you're working on any project. You have to embrace the moment and breathe life into the character and have fun," she said. We like her attitude.

On top of getting bludgeoned by a sex toy, it's her BFF in real life who did the bludgeoning.

"Jillian [Murray, who plays Penny in the movie] is one of my best friends, so we had a lot of fun. It's not often that best friends get to kill each other."

Lydia is the daughter of Patty Hearst and the great-granddaughter of famed newspaper mogul, William Randolf Hearst. But the actress asserts she had a "relatively normal upbringing" adding, "My parents instilled an extremely strong work ethic in me, which I appreciate."

Cabin Fever: Patient Zero is available on VOD June 26 and is in theaters August 1.

Sharon Stone denies Antonio Banderas affair rumors

There is lots of drama surrounding the end of Antonio Banderas' marriage to Melanie Griffith because the cheating allegations continue to persist. Now two actresses are refuting any rumors that they were to blame for the breakup of the power couple.

Bollywood star Mallika Sherawat, who was seen dancing at Cannes two years ago with the Puss In Boots star, wants to put an end to the story.

Melanie Griffith, Antonio Banderas had ongoing problems >>

She told E! News on Wednesday, "Antonio Banderas is a wonderful man, a great dancer and an acquaintance of mine. I did not go on any vacation with him, and I'm sorry he's going through a divorce."

The Indian actress also wants nothing to do with stylist Ivan Bitton, who originally blabbed about the alleged affair to RadarOnline.

Sherawat firmly explained, "Ivan Bitton is not my best friend. I hired him as a stylist at Cannes and then fired him. I'm sure he released the video. I don't know what he's even talking about now. I haven't been in touch with Ivan since I fired him. Whatever he's saying about me is ridiculous."

Melanie Griffith and other celebs react to Fifty Shades news >>

Sharon Stone is also battling similar stories after Grazia magazine claimed she was dating the actor. Stone is mad because she's been a family friend for almost 20 years.

She told MailOnline, "Antonio is a brother to me and Melanie has been with me for each and every birth of my three children. They are my family. I find this salacious, unkind, unfounded reporting to be the typical pretense of what passes as 'journalism' today."

Griffith has been spotted on the red carpet without her wedding ring and with her "Antonio" heart tattoo covered with makeup. The couple is officially done — just don't blame Stone or Sherawat.

Rock the wet hair look, just like Beyoncé

Wet hair is having a moment, thanks to one very famous supporter: Beyoncé.

Blue Ivy's mom has been sporting towel-dried strands everywhere this year. First, she stepped on stage at the Grammys for a sexy performance of "Drunk in Love," then she appeared on the cover of The New York Times' T Magazine earlier this month with a "hey-I-just-hopped-outta-the-shower" wob (wet bob).

And it's all the rage on the runway and editorial shoots, too.

"It's really an edgy, downtown, sexy look," hair guru Patrick Melville told the New York Daily News in March. "It's kind of one of those things you would wear to a cool party, or out to a club, or if you're going dancing. You wouldn't want to go to the office party looking like that."

Hmm… I beg to differ.

You see, I've basically been a wet hairstyle connoisseur, if you will, since, well, forever. I have seriously curly hair and a lazy streak, meaning I don't have the desire to straighten my hair every day. Blow-drying with a diffuser? Sure, if I want a head full of fuzz. Instead, I've opted to go wet and let my hair do its own thing. I've worn my wet style everywhere from job interviews to weddings… and no one has said a word.

The secret? I make sure to give my hair enough time to at least sort of air dry — sopping-wet strands aren't OK anywhere, period. I simply towel dry, add some Moroccanoil and gel and let Mother Nature do her thing for the next couple of hours until it completely dries. Sometimes it looks amazing, and other times it looks like I've dropped an atom bomb on it.

But that's the risk I take to get the kind of curls I crave. Regardless, it's fuss-free and I get plenty of compliments.

Of course, this look probably won't fly if you work in a conservative, ultra-corporate environment. But if you want to achieve the look, all you need to do is follow my advice, or get a few tips from the pros, like Pasquale Caselle, hairstylist and international creative director for IT&LY Hairfashion. Bonus: You can use these tips on dry hair to mimic a sexy, wet style.

"The best way to get the wet hair look is to use 2 Phase Hydra Shine from IT&LY Hairfashion on damp hair, totally saturate the hair so that it has a wet look," he tells SheKnows.

"Then create a mixture of IT&LY's Pure Fluid Experience, Thermoflat and Pure Water Drops — equal parts and apply evenly into the hair, work it through. Then on low heat blow dry the hair upside down while scrunching it to get a beachy wave look."

Spritz on some sea salt spray or use IT&LY's Pure Texture followed by some blow-drying.

"Using the blow-dryer a bit more while scrunching the hair on low heat sets the waves," Caselle adds. "Finish the look off with IT&LY's Pure Eco Spray to set everything."

Each year after the dust settles from awards show season, The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences gets back to work and invites new members to join their exclusive club. On Thursday, the Academy announced its 271 invitees who were extended membership this year.

The basis for inclusion on this list is for artists and executives who have distinguished themselves with "their contributions to theatrical motion pictures." Each candidate is sponsored by a current Academy member in their respective branch. The applications are reviewed each spring.

Get ready for Oscars 2015: Date, producers announced >>

In a statement, Academy President Cheryl Boone Isaacs said, "This year's class of invitees represents some of the most talented, creative and passionate filmmakers working in our industry today. Their contributions to film have entertained audiences around the world, and we are proud to welcome them to the Academy."

In the Acting branch, Lupita Nyong'o, June Squibb, Michael Fassbender, Sally Hawkins and Barkhad Abdi were easily included due to their nominations this year. Other interesting names added to the list were Chris Rock, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Clark Gregg, Jason Statham and Josh Hutcherson. While all three actors have an extended body of work, only Rock has a connection to the Oscars since he hosted the show in 2005.

The music branch is getting a few notable names this year, including Pharrell Williams, who was nominated for his song "Happy" from Despicable Me 2 as well as Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez. They won the Oscar for their massive hit "Let It Go" from Frozen.

The new members will be welcomed with a special reception at the Academy in September.
