When kids tell it like it is

Once kids learn to write, all bets are off. Check out real notes scribbled onto homework margins or passive-aggressively handed to parents. You won't believe how honest little kids are about their feelings.

The real magic of reading and writing comes when your kid starts giving you attitude on paper. Cute, snarky and honest, these are real notes from real kids.

A hit-and-run driver trying to escape a DUI checkpoint at the SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas, crashed through a crowd barrier and killed two people, injuring at least 23 more.

Police say the intoxicated driver was attempting to flee a DUI checkpoint by driving the wrong way down a one-way street before narrowly missing an officer and plowing into the crowd gathered near The Mohawk, where Tyler the Creator was performing.

"It looked like something out of a movie," witness Russ Barone told CNN. "A few people lying on the street... with their friends around them trying to get them up, trying to get them back to life. Hopefully, they are.

"I've never seen nothing like it. I felt like I was at a war or something," Barone added. "I was down here for the music... we were having the best time ever. And then it turned into the worst thing I've ever seen."

It's a hard-knock life: SXSW's hip-hop success stories >>

Austin Police Chief Art Acevedo confirmed the deaths and injuries at a press conference in the early morning hours of March 13. "We had a large crowd," he said. "I just thank God that a lot of the folks had already been pushed on the sidewalk or this could have been a lot worse.

"We do these events very well, but you cannot stop a person who rather than face drunk-driving charges decides to speed at a high rate of speed, go around a uniformed officer, forcing him to run out of the way, then at a high rate of speed show total disregard for the sanctity of human life," Acevedo said.

SXSW organizers addressed the horrific accident on the festival's website today.

"Our thoughts and prayers go out to those affected by the tragic accident that took place last night here in Austin," the group said in a statement.

"We appreciate and commend the first responders, as well as the city agencies who so quickly sprung into action. We will be making schedule and venue changes for programming in the surrounding area of last night's events. All other programming will continue as previously scheduled."

Amy Smart, Wendi McLendon-Covey share their most rebellious teen stories

0

Actress Amy Smart didn't exactly live up to her last name when she was a teen. "My girlfriends and I went to a fair that had all these little arts and crafts booths and we thought it would be awesome to take things without paying. So we got royally busted for that," she said.

EXCLUSIVE: First look at the ladies of The Single Moms Club >>

But Smart's rebelliousness didn't end there. The very first time she decided to sneak out of the house, her mother somehow had a premonition that her daughter wasn't in her bedroom.

"I'm just up the street and my dad comes racing up the hill, just panicked because my mom had a sixth sense I wasn't in my bedroom." Why is it that a mom always knows?

Zulay Henao, who plays Esperanza, shared a very similar story. "I decided to skip school and my mother came for me at the party. [She] showed up in her red Nissan Sentra. I was grounded for at least two weeks and I got hit when I got home." We're pretty sure Henao never skipped school again.

Wendi McLendon-Covey (Bridesmaids) had a bit of a different story. She said she never got in trouble at school, but at home she "threw a Rubik's Cube at my sister and gave her a fat lip. She was asking for it." OK, Wendi, we're not going to argue with you!

We also asked the cast about some of their favorite memories regarding their own mothers.

Cocoa Brown, who plays Lytia in the movie, said, "Last week I went to Tyler's [Perry] Too Darn Hot party and I surprised my mom and took her. She was in there with Oprah and everybody, trying not to act starstruck, and Angela Bassett walks up and I said, 'Mom, this is Angela,' and I guess she didn't realize who it was and literally mid-sentence, my mom was like, 'Lord, it's Tina!' I said, 'Mother, no, it's not Tina.'"

Watch our video to find out what sweet treat Tyler Perry's mom always got him when he had to go to the doctor. We think you'll be pretty jealous!

Authentic Chinese soup straight from your own kitchen

Cantonese corn soup recipe

I loved having Chinese-style corn soup when I was young but it always came straight from instant packs that were sold in the supermarkets. I was not in the habit of reading the ingredients so I was not really aware of how many additives I was eating. When I became a mother, I learned to read the ingredients of what I was feeding my kids. They love all kinds of instant Asian soup, and, since I refuse to give them the ones full of additives, I learned to create them myself. This soup is very easy to make using all-natural and healthy ingredients. You and your whole family will definitely enjoy it.

Cantonese corn soup recipe

Serves 2

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (or other oil)
  • 5 ounces white meat chicken, diced
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated or finely chopped ginger
  • 1 cup corn kernels
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1/8 cup finely sliced leeks, plus more for garnish
  • 1 egg, lightly whisked
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped chives, for garnish

Directions:

  1. Over low heat, in a small saucepan, toast the sesame seeds for 2 minutes or until they start making popping sounds. Set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk the cornstarch with a little bit of the chicken broth. Set aside.
  3. Over medium heat, in a medium saucepan that can accommodate the soup, sauté the chicken with olive oil until it is cooked through.
  4. Add the ginger and cook for 1 minute.
  5. Add the chicken broth and the corn, then let it boil. When it boils, add the cornstarch paste. Let it cook for about 10 minutes.
  6. Season with salt and pepper
  7. Add the leeks and cook for 1 minute.
  8. Turn off the heat.
  9. Pour the egg slowly into the soup while gently stirring.
  10. Serve in individual bowls and garnish with additional leeks, chives and toasted sesame seeds. Drizzle with the sesame oil.
  11. Serve hot.

How I Met Your Mother creates Inside the Actors Studio shenanigans

How I met your mother on inside the actors studio

It's too soon to say goodbye! Listen. For a lot of shows, nine seasons would be plenty. But in the case of How I Met Your Mother, we just can't get enough. Sure, you could say that it really was time to, ya know, meet The Mother. And we absolutely love Cristin Milioti in that part. But we're just not ready to leave Ted and the gang behind. That's why we're geeking out over the upcoming episode of Bravo's Inside the Actors Studio in which the entire cast visits and talks with James Lipton.

Worst. Theory. Ever. Is The Mother dead? >>

From the limited videos we've seen and the amazing pictures Bravo has made available (and that we've shared below), it looks like Neil Patrick Harris (Barney), Joshua Radnor (Ted), Cobie Smulders (Robin), Alyson Hannigan (Lily) and Jason Segel (Marshall) brought all the usual HIMYM fun right to Lipton's doorstep. There's an amazingly funny moment when Lipton talks with Barney and Ted chimes in with an "interesting fact." Oh, Mosby! We'll miss your interesting facts so much.

Lipton has a lot of ground to cover with this quintet of actors. They've worked beside one another for nine years and through multiple pregnancies and marriages. Smulders has kissed at least three of the people joining her onstage and the entire series has been about Radnor's character's quest for his one true love. What does he think of Ted's hopeless romanticism? What was it like to finally meet his wife? And, speaking of The Mother, will there be any guest appearances from Milioti, regular series guest star Wayne Brady or maybe even the uncredited narrator, Bob Saget? We won't know for sure until the show airs, but we're guessing that at least Milioti will make an appearance and we can't wait to see more of her and Radnor together... even if they're out of character.

Remember when we finally truly met The Mother? So much love! >>

He's back! 5 Ways Caleb could return to Pretty Little Liars

Caleb will return for Season 5 of Pretty Little Liars

ABC Family has confirmed that Tyler Blackburn will reprise his role as Caleb on Pretty Little Liars for Season 5. He will be rejoining the cast as a series regular sometime early on in the season, which premieres June 10.

No specifics about his return have been announced yet, but we think these are the most likely scenarios of how it will go down.

Is a Pretty Little Liars star walking down the aisle? >>

1. After hearing about Ezra

Now that Ezra has resigned from Rosewood High and his double life is unveiled, Caleb might feel the need to return to protect Hanna (Ashley Benson). Or at least give Mr. Fitz a good evil eye or two. Someone should, besides the girls — and who better than Rosewood's bad boy come back?

2. With some Ravenswood friends

Caleb may not return alone. No word yet on whether we'll see some story line crossover between Pretty Little Liars and Ravenswood, but it could happen to allow fans of Ravenswood some more concrete closure, since the show was canceled after only one season.

Pretty Little Liars: 12 Clues we should've seen >>

3. After a big finale event

We know Caleb will return to the show early on in Season 5, which means maybe something happens in the finale that fuels his comeback. Perhaps Hanna gets hurt? Or the girls discover something about A that leads them to reach out to techie Caleb for help.

4. In the midst of Hanna kissing Travis

Maybe he'll try to romantically surprise Hanna with his return to Rosewood, only to catch her in the arms of her new guy, Travis. You know that is going to make one awkward love triangle come Season 5. We can't wait!

5. With some Ravenswood mysteries

Pretty Little Liars is going to have to explain Caleb's return by wrapping up some of the loose ends in Ravenswood to account for his reappearance in Rosewood. Perhaps they'll show some flashbacks of his time in Ravenswood? Or maybe his return will add some more mystery to Pretty Little Liars Season 5. Not that the show needs any more mystery.

Are you excited to see Tyler Blackburn return to Pretty Little Liars?

Graco recalling over 400,000 additional car seats

Last month, Graco recalled around 3.8 million car seats due to buckle issues. Now, they are adding on over 400,000 more seats. Is your child's car seat on the list of those recalled?

Fourth largest car seat recall in history

Graco's enormous recall in February 2014 included 3.8 million convertible car seats and harness booster seats (check out the models included in the original recall here). The company is adding 403,222 additional seats to their recall, bringing the total up to 4.2 million — it still stands as the fourth largest child seat recall in U.S. history.

Additional recalled Graco models

The additional car seat models included in the recall are as follows:

  • Argos 70 Elite
  • Ready Ride
  • Step 2
  • My Ride 65 with Safety Surround
  • My Size 70
  • Head Wise 70 with Safety Surround
  • Nautilus 3-in-1
  • Nautilus Plus
  • Smart Seat with Safety Surround

What you need to do

You should continue using your car seat or harnessed booster. If your car seat or harnessed booster seat is included in the recall — and you have registered it through Graco — you should receive a replacement buckle with installation instructions automatically. If you haven't registered your safety seat, you can request a replacement buckle through their website. Graco representatives are also available toll free at 800-345-4109 Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. or you can email them at consumerservices@gracobaby.com.

Future recall?

Next week, Graco will be answering the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration about their decision to exclude their infant car seats, which feature the same buckle system as the convertible car seats and harnessed boosters. If they are eventually added to the recall, adding 1.8 million additional units, it will make this the largest car seat recall in history.

Seth Rogen thinks Justin Bieber is an obnoxious "piece of s***"

The battle of the Canadians is brewing. Seth Rogen decided to comment on his fellow countryman Justin Bieber's recent antics, and it's not pretty.

Justin Bieber & Selena Gomez get steamy on the dance floor >>

Rogen appeared on Watch What Happens Live on Wednesday night to explain a recent tweet about the Biebs, and this time he didn't hold back.

"Justin Bieber is a piece of s***," Rogen told host Andy Cohen. "He's obnoxious, he's ungrateful, he's insincere."

Although Rogen and Bieber are from two different provinces — Rogen from British Columbia and Bieber from Ontario — they are arguably two of the most famous stars from the country right now. Rogen's feelings about Bieber go beyond his attitude; he said he actually could be harmful to society. He added that "he puts people's lives in danger."

Rogen's comments came just days after the video of a deposition featuring Justin Bieber was leaked. In the video, the singer showed his bratty side, responding rudely to questions, winking at the camera and becoming more and more evasive as the questioning continued.

The line of questioning came because of a tweet Rogen sent back in January, again sharing his thoughts on the pop singer, saying, "All jokes aside, Justin Bieber is a piece of s***."

Seth Rogen will bring the Sega vs. Nintendo war to life >>

Rogen, never one to shy away from sharing his opinions, testified before a Senate committee in February about a cause he is passionate about: the fight against Alzheimer's. Always the comedian, Rogen started his testimony by explaining, "I came here today for few reasons," he explained. "One, I'm a huge House of Cards fan. Two, people need more help. I've personally witnessed the massive amount of financial strain this disease causes. Three, to show people they are not alone. So few people share their personal stories."

Justin Bieber hasn't yet said anything about Rogen's comments. But when he does, he'll probably make sure everyone hears about it.

Stop the presses! Did Juan Pablo Galavis just say, "I love you" to Nikki Ferrell after being chastised by The Bachelor host Chris Harrison on national TV earlier this week? Well, sort of. The much-maligned reality star posted a video to his girlfriend on YouTube celebrating their relationship.

The video, entitled "Adventures In Loving You," was posted on Tuesday as the world criticized Galavis for being the "worst bachelor ever."

The opening title card read, "This is a RECAP of Mi Aventura…Thanks to Obie Bermudez for using the WORDS I sent him and TURNING them into a SONG…'Adventures In Loving You' is for you Mi Catira…"

10 Reasons Nikki and Juan Pablo are confusing >>

The clips highlight their romance from the ABC show and show off snapshots from the couple's time together. While it seems like a sweet gesture, the comments were mostly negative, from viewers who seem jaded from the After The Rose special on Monday night.

Besides refusing to tell Ferrell that he loved her, he also wanted to keep their relationship private even though they met on a TV show. In some ways, posting a public video on YouTube seems contradictory to the statements he made the other night.

Best quotes on Juan Pablo from The Bachelor's Chris Harrison >>

The three-and-a-half minute video ended with a message from the 32-year-old Venezuelan native. "Thanks for these INTERESTING 4 months of HIDING, now that the CHARACTER of The Bachelor is OVER, it is time for US to live our life for REAL. Te ADORO Juan Pablo"

It looks like ABC and Galavis won't be kissing and making up anytime soon.

2

Chelsea Handler slammed Piers Morgan in his soon-to-be-extinct program Piers Morgan Live, calling him out for being "a terrible interviewer." Is it wrong that, although we enjoyed Handler chastising the host, we also felt a teensy weensy bit bad for him? Or was Handler totally out of line to start with?

Netflix just released teaser photos of Orange is the New Black's second season, and it looks like some serious sh**'s about to hit the fan (and when you're in prison, that is a loaded statement). The June 6 premiere cannot get here fast enough!

4

In a pseudo-interview with Russell Simmons, Fox's Bill O'Reilly ranted about how Beyoncé's racy single "Partition" is going to contribute to the teen pregnancy crisis. Uh, say what? We're pretty sure teens get just as worked up over the clearance rack at Aéropostale.

5

The Big Bang Theory has been picked up for three more seasons (at least). More of a smart, funny show that embraces nerdiness? Yes, please!

6

Sheryl Sandberg, backed by Beyoncé and other celebs, wants to ban the word "bossy." Is it really that big of a deal, though? The root of the word bossy is boss, so wouldn't that make bossy a positive attribute? As in, having qualities of a boss? Discuss.

10

Chumlee's alive, y'all! Pawn Stars' lovable oaf was the victim of a viral death hoax, but he is in fact alive, well and filming his regular shenanigans as we speak.

Angelina Jolie may be planning an oophorectomy, or ovary removal surgery, to further reduce her odds of getting cancer. Perhaps this will open up more of a dialogue about preventative surgery which, in turn, could seriously save lives.

Scarlett Johansson has yet to confirm she is pregnant with her first child — but she doesn't have to. The loose-lipped producer of her upcoming film The Avengers: Age of Ultron has done it for her.

Kevin Feige pretty much spilled the beans when Collider.com oh-so-casually asked him if anything about the movie, which hasn't started shooting yet, had to change in the wake of the actress's previously unconfirmed pregnancy.

"Well, my first reaction was I was very happy for her and very excited for her, and my second reaction was we've gotta move some pieces on the chessboard around schedule-wise," Feige said, totally spilling the baby beans.

"But we didn't change the script at all, which is sort of the most important things for us in terms of the story line. I think the goal is for us to sit here talking about the fact that you would never know that Black Widow was pregnant during the filming of the movie when you see the final version of Avengers 2."

VIDEO: Hal Douglas: A legendary voice on movie trailers

Legendary voice-over artist Hal Douglas passed away on Friday from pancreatic cancer at the age of 89. While that name might not be familiar to you, his voice certainly was. Over the years, he narrated thousands of famous movie trailers with his dulcet tones and his famous line, "In a world…"

In honor of Douglas' career, let's take a look back at some of his most-famous movie trailers.

March movie preview: SheKnows picks the flicks >>

Forrest Gump

)

Douglas' voice doesn't come in until the 2:25 mark, but the sound of his work is instantly recognizable as he introduces the stellar lineup of actors starring in the 1994 film. With the sweeping soundtrack in the background, he remarks, "The world will never seem the same, once you've seen it through the eyes of Forrest Gump."

Philadelphia

)

It's another Tom Hanks film with Douglas' smooth voice. He delivers the epic line, "In a story about our lives, our fears and our humanity." This 1993 film needed the gravitas that his voice embodied due to the difficult nature of the AIDS story line.

TRAILER: Guardians of the Galaxy is action-packed and awesome >>

Meet the Parents

)

The 2011 film offers a more light look at what Douglas could do with his vocal instrument since the comedy focused on a daughter bringing home her boyfriend for the first time. When things don't go well, it's the irony in the artist's voice that says it all with, "And earn his way into the family, at least that was the plan…"

Lethal Weapon

)

The trailer for the 1987 action film with Mel Gibson and Danny Glover kicks off right away with Douglas' voice. He says, "He's a criminal's worst nightmare, a cop who enjoys the danger." It sets the tone for the iconic buddy-cop movie, which eventually spun into three sequels.

Going to the movies and watching trailers will never sound the same without Hal Douglas.

Best belfies: Celebrities completely obsessed with their butts

Kim Kardashian

Apparently a "belfie" is now a thing, and leave it to the Kardashians to lead the charge on the new trend. A belfie is the next generation of selfie — a selfie of your butt.

Samsung donates $3 million to charity because of Ellen's selfie >>

Although stars like Kim Kardashian have been posting belfies for a while, the trend came about by a 20-year-old who began using her Instagram account to share one of the most-prominent parts of the human body. Jen Selter posts her photos with pride — in different positions, outfits and activities. Selter was featured by Vanity Fair for celebrating the fit human body and started the craze now known as the belfie.

Only a few months ago, Kim Kardashian posted what, to this day, may remain one of the most-famous belfies. The actress posted a photo in December, along with the caption "#NoFilter."

Kardashian has since posted more photos of different parts of her body, and she is obviously proud to share what may be her most-famous characteristic. She posted another belfie back in January.

Kardashian's selfie spurred copycats, including pro surfer Anastasia Ashley who posted a similar photo to Kardashian's first belfie, along with the caption "#Filtered."

Kardashian's sister has since decided to follow in Kardashian's footsteps. Kylie Jenner posted numerous photos on her Instagram account on Wednesday, sharing her lovely derriere with her friend (we could call it a BFF butt selfie). The famous daughter is showing off what may soon be known as her best asset.

Other stars have also been a part of the evolution of the belfie, including Beyoncé. Although Beyoncé posts photos of her booty on a regular basis, very few of her Instagram photos are selfies. The singer seems to enjoy having professional photos as representative of her everyday life. She does have some great booty pictures, though.

Nude selfie of Emma Stone is fake! Well, maybe >>

Miley Cyrus, always promoting her products, took a belfie of herself (or what is assumed to be her) wearing a pair of her Bangerz underwear.

Rihanna, another star known to be very proud of her booty, has posted several photos to her Instagram page over the years.

Which belfie is your favorite? Are there any good ones we missed?

We luh ya Jen, we luh, luh ya, Jen

...For bringing us this visual masterpiece (and by visual masterpiece, we mean the — say it with us — men). The song doesn't suck either, but it's probably fair to say we wouldn't be hitting the replay button if it weren't for the hot guys. There's really only one reason this video doesn't suck, but we had to stretch it out to five. (Again, can we please get two solid seconds of this video without Lopez's mug in it? Quit ruining Christmas, Jen!)

5 Effective ways to budget for senior care

Many seniors remain in good health and are able to enjoy years of retirement full of hobbies and traveling. But there comes a time when health takes center stage, and your previously agile and healthy parent needs senior care. No matter how well your parents have planned for their retirement years, it isn’t always enough when they can no longer care for themselves.

What senior care options are there?

The type of senior care your parent needs will mostly be determined by his or her health. The more independent your parent is able to be — in terms of daily activities such as bathing and eating — the less care he or she will require. Here are the types of care you will likely be looking at.

1

Assisted living

Seniors who are no longer able to safely live on their own but need only a light level of care would do well in an assisted living situation. Assistance would be provided with medications, meals, housekeeping and routines of daily living. Meals in an assisted living situation are served in a common dining room with other residents. Residents live in their own private apartments, with staff available 24 hours a day in case of emergency — which gives families great peace of mind. Most of these facilities have opportunities for socializing, crafts, hobbies, local day trips and other activities. Expect assisted living situations to cost between $2,500 to $4,000 per month depending on the size of apartment and level of assistance required.

2

Nursing homes

For seniors who require a higher level of assistance and medical care, a nursing home provides licensed nursing services 24 hours a day. Some nursing-home residents will be there on a short-term basis, but residents in a nursing home for long-term care will usually share a room and eat meals in a common dining area when they are well enough. Nursing-home care runs between $4,000 to $8,000 per month.

3

Residential care homes

In a residential care home, residents may either share a room or have a private room and are usually cared for by live-in caretakers and a daily staff. These living situations offer a higher level of care than assisted living, with the relative comforts of a home setting. Assistance with activities of daily living, such as bathing and dressing, are typically provided. Services provided vary, so make sure to ask each specific home what services they provide. You will spend between $1,500 and $3,000 per month for your parent to live in a residential care home.

4

Home-care options

Many seniors wish to live in their own homes for as long as possible, yet they still require some assistance on a daily basis to maintain that independence. Home-care assistants can provide help with meal preparation, transportation, dressing, bathing or making appointments and paying bills. You might hire someone to come in once a week or stay 24 hours a day, depending on the level of assistance your parent needs. These services are usually paid for on an hourly basis.

Lesley Chang of Nurse Next Door, a private home-care company based in Vancouver, Canada, shared information about the various types of in-home care your parent may need. "There are many different types of home care available, and one of the misconceptions is that it's expensive," Lesley shares. "We have tons of experience working with families at different budgets, and we also have programs that help families who are in dire need of care. Nurse Next Door is truly unique in the sense that we're a health care company, but we're much more than that," she adds. Levels of service range from a level-1 caregiver to a licensed practical nurse.

How do we pay for this?

Many people are completely overwhelmed by the costs of senior care and don’t realize the magnitude until they are forced to search for a placement for a parent. Your parents may have planned for these expenses long ago, or they may assume that their remaining assets will be used to pay for their last few years of care.

Lisa Horowitz, CLU ChFC of LifeCycles shares five tips to help you budget for senior care.

  • Consider a long-term-care insurance policy if your parents do not already have one in place. The earlier you purchase one, the more easily you can incorporate the cost into your monthly budget. "In addition, the premium of these policies can, in the right situation, have favorable tax implications," Horowitz shares. Talk to your parents and find out if they have a plan in place before you purchase a policy for them.
  • When in doubt, save. Saving a little bit each month in an account that will bear some interest is a start. "While we cannot really predict the future — and all that it will hold for us and our older family members — doing nothing is most certainly not the answer," she says. Find small ways to skim off $10 here and $20 there.
  • A thorough review of all assets and income of the family is a must. "In most family budgets, there are usually amounts paid for insurance that might not be needed in years to come," says Horowitz. "Those dollars can be used to purchase insurance that will provide benefit for the elderly family member. Or there might be a long-term investment like an annuity that might be able to provide dollars for premiums and at the same time continue to provide the retirement income it was meant to," she adds.
  • Don’t overlook the employee benefits that a family member can access. Some corporations have programs available during open enrollment that include care for aging parents. "Maybe a policy can be purchased at a discount? Maybe there are other more practical ancillary programs that provide some elder-care services that would cost very little to participate in," Horowitz adds.
  • Lastly — don’t leave any stone unturned. "Look at offers to buy benefits or insurance through associations, or membership organizations can also uncover available options," adds Horowitz. Do your research, make the phone calls, question the charges and financial quotes provided to you. Negotiate, barter and ask for a better deal. You want the absolute best care for your parent, but you still need to be vigilant about the costs.

Bottom line

Senior care costs can be a financial burden that your family isn’t prepared for. Take a few simple steps and plan for these costs as best you can, while still finding the best placement for your aging parent.

Lady Gaga's SXSW show — all about barbecue & vomit

The 2014 South By Southwest event aka SXSW has already grabbed headlines for a truly tragic reason after a crowd gathered near The Mohawk venue was plowed down by a drunken driver in the early morning hours on Thursday, leaving two dead and 23 injured.

However, thanks to Lady Gaga, it's also now in the headlines for something completely bizarre!

Lady Gaga's performances are always memorable and slightly crazy, but she may have outdone herself with her very weird SXSW antics.

According to the Washington Post, Gaga took to the Doritos #BoldStage at the Austin, Texas, event on Thursday night and opened the show by roasting herself on a spit whilst her dancers basted her with barbecue brushes.

However, that was not the strangest part. The "Applause" hit maker decided she needed to create even more shock value at her show, and this was done by getting a woman to "vomit" on her during her rendition of "Swine."

It may shock you to learn that there is something called "vomit painting," and there's a woman named Millie Brown who joined Gaga on the stage to do just that! After ingesting a full bottle of neon green fluid, Brown proceeded to put her fingers down her throat so she could vomit all over the pop sensation whilst she played the drums.

The eccentric performance did not end there, however. Gaga and Brown then climbed aboard a mechanical pig where she proceeded to play her keyboard. When this was over, Brown began painting Gaga with a black liquid that left her skin stained.

The concert was held to celebrate her Born This Way Foundation, and only fans who had completed a Doritos Bold Mission were granted entry. But we are left thinking, what could possibly follow this extravagant performance? I think we may have now seen it all!

As Saint Patrick’s Day approaches, Irish baby names are often on the minds of parents-to-be. Some Irish names are becoming more popular, but don’t fret — there are plenty of uncommon ones to choose from.

Give the luck of the Irish To your baby

No matter what time of year it is, Irish baby names are a popular choice for moms and dads. However, with March 17 quickly approaching, more parents may be turning to Irish names to fill out the last few spots on their baby name list.

You may find that some Irish baby names are becoming pretty popular. Aiden, for example, was number 10 on the 2012 most popular baby name list after catapulting itself to the top 20 just four years prior. And what are Aiden’s linguistic roots? Irish and Scottish, of course. It is the anglicized version of the Irish given name of Aodhán.

So, if you’re looking for a name with Irish origins that is a little bit off the beaten path, look no further. Many of these are the anglicized version of their harder-to-pronounce Irish versions or they otherwise stem from Irish roots. We think these names are awesome, though, and hope you do too.

Top 10 dog breeds that shed and drool

1

Newfoundland

When you bring a Newfie into your home, you'll quickly find a new-found land of drool and hair. This lovable, huggable hairy beast flings saliva with abandon and won’t mind at all if you spend a good part of every day mopping up its goo.

2

Mastiff

The mournful-faced Mastiff is a shameless drooler that needs to have its mouth wiped frequently and its many wrinkles cleaned regularly. If you're used to carrying extra hand towels or baby wipes in your bag, you'll be prepared to manage your very own messy, gentle giant.

3

Bloodhound

A well-known drool slinger, the Bloodhound will make you appreciate clean walls and slime-free clothing. This "slobberhound" has a ready arsenal of saliva due to its adorable deep lips and loose jowls. As a bonus, the super-sniffing canine sheds seasonally and will keep you busy sweeping up hair in the spring and fall.

4

Saint Bernard

Not only does the long coat and giant size of the Saint Bernard makes it a shed monster, this iconically heroic dog has loose jowls that freely fling drool and food debris against any person, place, or thing in its wake.

5

Great Pyrenees

Though this majestically large pup has a long coat that resists dirt and matting, the Great Pyrenees sheds year-round, making daily sweeping, vacuuming, and de-furring the furniture a necessity if you're a neat freak. However, the large and loving heart of the Pyr will more than make up for its messiness.

6

Dogue de Bordeaux

Long known as the attention-getting dog who played Hooch in the 1989 film Turner and Hooch, the Dogue de Bordeaux is a hefty drooler and heavy shedder. Fortunately, this affectionate canine’s devotion and craving for companionship will make you (mostly) forget the extra housekeeping you’ll be doing.

7

Clumber Spaniel

Though the Clumber Spaniel is a true spaniel, you may easily mistake this large, cuddly pup as a cross between the shed monster Saint Bernard and the over-drooly Bloodhound after you find yourself buried in a never-ending blanket of its hair and drool.

8

Siberian Husky

A year-round shedder, the gorgeous wolf-looking Husky will make you go wild with vacuuming abandon as it drops tuft after tuft of fur, especially during its seasonal sheddings.

9

German Shepherd

Referred to as the “German Shedder”, the German Shepherd has a thick coat that drops loads of hair all year long. This beautiful canine, which is often seen alongside law enforcement and military personnel, will effortlessly win your love and shedding tolerance with its devoted and protective nature.

10

Bernese Mountain Dog

A canine giant that sports an irresistibly long, lush coat, the Bernese Mountain Dog is unsurprisingly a hefty shedder. However, the Berner’s love for its family pack and need for human companionship will make up for this loving dog’s hairy mess.
