Nelly swears the drugs and gun weren't his

Cops stopped one of Nelly's buses on Thursday and found some illegal drugs that are a lot more potent than a little marijuana.

Remember Nelly? He was the one who told us to take off our clothes when it got "hot in hurr" and to drop down and get our eagle on, whatever that means. The St. Louis-born rapper's career has waned over the years, but he's apparently still on tour. How do we know? Cops found heroin and illegal weapons on his bus during a stop in Sierra Blanca, Texas.

The rapper and six other people aboard the bus were detained in the zero-tolerance town.

"It is my understanding a member of my staff made an unfortunate decision to bring unlawful materials onto our tour bus that resulted in his arrest this morning, October 11th," he said in a statement, adding that he knew nothing about "the small plastic container containing marijuana" and "a very small Ziploc bags containing [.64 ounces of] Heroin and a loaded .45 cal pistol."

Rapper Nelly sued for unpaid Amex bill >>

"Neither I nor anyone else on the tour bus was aware of his decision to bring these on board. Law enforcement officials in Sierra Blanca, Texas did not press charges against anyone other than that individual."

Six of the seven detained — including Nelly — were released after a man named Brian Keith admitted that he owned the illegal goods. U.S. border agents eventually arrested Keith after drug dogs found "controlled substances emitting from the seams of the main entrance of the vehicle."

Celebrities engaging in illegal behavior should probably just stay away from Sierra Blanca. If you'll remember, it's the same border town where Fiona Apple, Willie Nelson, Snoop Dogg and Armie Hammer were detained for various drug infractions.

It's worn the crown of longest-running musical and graced countless stages across the world, but Victor Hugo's epic tale, Les Miserables, has had a face-lift. The same compelling story audiences everywhere have come to love is hitting the big screen with some even bigger names.

Hugo published Les Miserables in 1862, and it's felt nearly that long since the movie trailer surfaced back in May.

We've finally scored another look at Academy Award–winning director Tom Hooper's film adaptation of this classic, and it definitely does not disappoint.

Les Miserables

SheKnows found an array of stills, artwork depicting Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Anne Hathaway and Amanda Seyfried adorned as their French characters.

Les Miserables is a timeless piece cast in 19th-century France and laced with passion, sacrifice and redemption. True to its roots, the big-screen interpretation features the staple songs "I Dreamed a Dream," "Bring Him Home," "One Day More" and "On My Own."

Jackman, no stranger to Broadway, draws from his experience with musicals to play ex-prisoner Jean Valjean, who has been hunted for years. He is cast opposite Crowe, who plays the ruthless police officer, Javert.

As the story goes, Valjean agrees to care for a young girl, Cosette , the daughter of a factory worker named Fantine, played by Hathaway.

We saw glimpses of the story unfold in May's trailer, but we can finally slow things down a bit and enjoy the characters in their full beauty. Just click here!

Soak 'em up.

The film won't hit theaters until Christmas.

Babs returns to Brooklyn

It was a big night in Brooklyn as Barbra Streisand finally came home and performed for a sold-out crowd.

Barbra Streisand Brooklyn concert

Last night's hot ticket was neither on Broadway nor at a red-carpet premiere in Hollywood. It was in Brooklyn for the homecoming of the borough's favorite grand dame, Barbra Streisand. The sold-out crowd at Jay-Z's new Barclays Center was in for a treat as Streisand came home.

As she told the cheering audience, "It might have taken me 33 years, but I'm finally here."

The night opened perfectly as the singer dropped right into "As If We Never Said Goodbye" from the Broadway musical Sunset Boulevard. The excitement continued as she launched into some sentimental favorites, aided by a 60-plus-member orchestra conducted by Bill Ross.

Some famous faces also stopped by to lend a hand. Chris Botti, famed jazz trumpeter, joined her for several numbers like Rodgers' and Hart's "My Funny Valentine" and Nat King Cole's romantic "When I Fall In Love." Another sweet moment included tributes to recently deceased Marvin Hamlisch and longtime collaborator Jules Styne.

Over 18,000 people were in the crowd, cheering the music legend on, and quite a few familiar faces were seen supporting Babs, including Barbara Walters, Jimmy Fallon, Michael Douglas, Sting, and Katie Couric. The 70-year-old also enjoyed a duet with her son, Jason Gould, while honoring the late Donna Summer with her song "No More Tears ."

Given that it's an election year, the politically active Streisand made sure to plug her candidate indirectly by saying, "I'm not going to tell you who to vote for, but... if you believe in affordable health care and women's rights... if you want to move forward and not back, you know who to vote for."

President Obama can count on her vote.

The Barbra: Live in Concert! tour continues across the U.S. and Canada through Nov. 11. The living legend also has a comedy, The Guilt Trip,  with Seth Rogen hitting the big screen on Nov. 2.

Nadya Suleman child abuse claims: When the help hurts

Octomom Nadya Suleman has been accused of allowing neglect and abuse to go on inside her home. The mother of 14 claims her nannies are full of lies — and it seems the courts agree.

Nadya Suleman Octomom

Octomom Nadya Suleman is either guilty of allowing her children to abuse one another, or her nannies are plotting, scheming and lying. The mother of 14 has responded to the "blatant lies" told to police by her former help, insisting her octuplets and other children are all well cared for.

Two nannies previously employed by Nadya Suleman have alleged both neglect and sexual abuse . In response, a rep for the woman dubbed 'Octomom' spoke out to E! News on Friday.

Referring to one of the accusers, the rep said, "This is a woman who became obsessed with the children and contacted [Suleman's representatives] to help her write a book. Her and the other woman claiming to be a nanny are also good friends with each other and are trying to make money. This is why Nadya chose to move far away."

Octomom strips in dominatrix gear, gets slapped by lawsuit >>

According to the rep, the woman apparently "became enraged when Nadya moved to Palmdale and would not allow her to watch the children, because she was trying to force Nadya to give her the children."

Among the pair's accusations are reports that Nadya Suleman tied her newborns to their beds, locked the children inside a room so they wouldn't bother her while she napped, and allowed the older kids to abuse the younger kids.

However, the nannies seem to have little evidence to support their claims. The Associated Press reported late Friday that police in La Habra have investigated the claims and have turned their findings over to prosecutors. Susan Kang Schroeder, chief of staff at the Orange County district attorney's office, said there is not enough evidence to move forward with the case.

Do you believe Octomom Nadya Suleman is innocent?

Parenthood sneak peek: More tears ahead

$

Tension continues to mount for Parenthood's Braverman clan, as the siblings struggle with health, family and relationship issues. The newest sneak peak shows mixed emotions for the family.

Parenthood Bravermans

Things are rough for Parenthood's entire Braverman family right now. Zeek's trying to help a recently returned vet named Ryan York , who just wants to be left alone. Adam, Kristina and their kids are dealing with Kristina's breast cancer diagnosis. Amber is trying to cover for Adam at work and help out with Max. Crosby is... well, he's Crosby, though it appears some financial trouble might be ahead for him. Sarah is trying to ignore her kiss with her boss, Hank, by moving in with her boyfriend/fiance-without-a-ring, Mark. Then there's Julia, who not only just adopted 9-year-old Vincent, but also just quit her job at the law firm where she was on track to make partner. Life is stressful.

Enter the new sneak peek:

After what is supposed to have been about a month's wait, Kristina is finally having her lumpectomy. During the last episode, Haddie returned home from college to check on her family. Whether she leaves before or after the surgery is uncertain, but she does have to return to college on the East Coast. Also in the last episode, Adam and Kristina broke the news to Max, who has aspergers, and tried to explain to him that he might have to act more like a grown-up for a while. He took it in stride, but later gave his cousin Amber the third degree about what it means to be a grown-up. Amber, not understanding the context, said she's a grown-up because she drives, has a job and pays her own bills. How this translates for Max should be interesting.

Parenthood Adam and Christina

It looks like Sarah will follow through with her move-in plans, too. Awkwardly enough, Hank makes an appearance on move-in day. Why is he there, though? Is he going to actually confess his kiss might have meant something? Or will he stand by helplessly as Sarah takes another big step in her relationship with Mark?

Despite the stress, there were two really awesome moments for the Bravermans last time. First, nearly the entire family showed up for Vincent's baseball game. When the coach wouldn't put him in, a battle ensued that resulted in Vincent's chance at bat. He scored a run and, possibly, began to realize just how loved he is by the family. Second, tricky Zeek convinced Ryan to join him for the baseball game, where he met Amber. It was all innocent smiles and Amber's usual cuteness, but there was definitely something there.

Good or bad news never really matters on Parenthood, though. The Bravermans, always make it through, with the help of family.

Miley's stalker heads to jail

Miley Cyrus can sleep better tonight knowing that her scissors-wielding stalker is safely behind bars for 18 months.

MileyCyrusStalker

This week, Miley Cyrus gets a song written about her by a Jonas Brother, and she also gets a little bit of relief from a terrifying incident that happened earlier this year. Yesterday, her scissors-wielding stalker, Jason Luis Rivera, was convicted of trespassing and resisting arrest. Today, Rivera was sentenced to the maximum jail time of 18 months.

It's hard to imagine that such a scary crime carries such a short jail term, especially after her intruder was found hiding in the bushes on her property in Studio City, California. The 40-year-old criminal was described by the LAPD's Lt. Brian Wendling as "delusional" because Rivera thought he and Cyrus "were married." It seems that Rivera was not keeping up to date on his entertainment news, given Cyrus' June engagement to The Hunger Games star Liam Hemsworth.

The arrest happened early on a Saturday morning on Sept. 8, when the convicted felon hopped a fence to gain access to the starlet's property. Fortunately, the former Disney Channel actress was not home at the time, but another person staying on the property called the police.

Rivera was arraigned last month, and he pleaded not guilty to two charges of trespassing and one charge of resisting arrest. His bail was set at $100,000, and Cyrus was granted a temporary restraining order. Oddly enough, the restraining order was not continued with today's sentencing, so Deputy City Attorney Joshua Geller told TMZ, "I advised [Miley's] legal team to get a restraining order immediately."

It sounds like Cyrus' legal team will be working overtime to keep this nut job away from the young singer.

Jack sets the hero record straight

Jack Osbourne did, indeed, play a major role in saving a woman's life in Hawaii! However, the newlywed is quick to point out he wasn't the only hero of the day. In his own words, the 26-year-old explains exactly who did what during the scary incident.

Jack Osbourne has been hailed as a hero by many for helping to save a woman's life in Hawaii, but apparently, some have had harsh words for him. In response to those who have been "oddly hostile" and "rather rude" about just who is being labeled a hero, the reality star has taken to Facebook.

Writing a detailed description of the events that occurred just two days after he tied the knot with Lisa Stelly, Jack Osbourne shared the following:

"I would like to to clarify exactly what happened. On 10/8/12, I was approached by a family member telling me he had just seen a woman being pulled out of the water, who'd drowned. I grabbed my friend Tyler, who was a former Army operator, and went to see if we could be of assistance. In case you are not aware, I was a police reserve for 5 years and have had a lot of training in CPR and as a first responder. I am not an EMT or paramedic, but I have assisted in resuscitating individuals in the past.

"When Tyler and I arrived on the scene, the woman was not conscious and had approximately 5 people assisting in an attempt to resuscitate her. A neurosurgeon from Japan had taken charge in trying to manage the chaos, though she did not speak much English. The woman had a J-tube in her airway, and the defibrillator had already been used. Two women were assisting in chest compressions, and another was operating the Ambu bag.

"The golf cart with the spine board then pulled up, and it was at this point Tyler and myself assisted in clearing out the beach chairs. Once the woman was placed on the spine board, Tyler and I assisted in lifting her onto the cart. Once she was loaded, everyone who had initially helped backed off. Tyler, myself, and another woman all got onto the cart with her. The cart took off towards the front of the hotel. I handed the Ambu bag to the woman, and Tyler and I began administering chest compressions. Because of the angle [at which] Tyler was sitting, he couldn't get a solid downward motion for the compressions. During his attempt, I was holding the woman's lifeless body so she wouldn't fall from the moving vehicle. Tyler and I switched positions, and I straddled the woman in order to get the right amount of leverage for the chest compressions. Once we arrived, we waited for the EMT for approximately 4–6 minutes. During that time, I continued to administer chest compressions. As soon as the EMTs arrived, I backed away and let them take over.

"I never said I was the sole contributor in the rescue. In fact, I haven't said anything at all. The last thing I want to do is take all of the credit when in fact there were a few people who helped save her life."

Jack Osbourne concluded his account of the Hawaii rescue by saying, "From what I've heard, she's doing better and is now awake. I hope she has a speedy recovery."

A round of applause for Jack Osbourne — and all of the heroes — who helped!

Is this the real reason Colton Haynes is leaving Teen Wolf?

$

Sorry, Teen Wolf fans. It looks like resident hottie Colton Haynes won't be back for Season 3.

That Colton Haynes is a saucy little minx. We caught up with him back in September at the 2012 iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas and asked him about Season 3 of Teen Wolf. He insisted he didn't know anything — producers are too chicken to tell him anything 'cause he'd spoil it, he claimed.

Not true, as it turns out. The actor won't be back for Season 3 of the hit MTV show.

"These past few yrs have been the best of my life," Haynes confirmed on Twitter. "I'm sad that this chapter has ended, but excited for a new one to begin. Thx for the love."

So, what's going on? Sources told E! News that Haynes was up for a pilot and wanted to pull a David Caruso — you know, leave a hit show while you're hot, to pursue bigger and better things. It didn't work for Caruso when he left NYPD Blue, so we're not sure why Haynes would think he'd fare better.

Other sources claim the pilot wasn't the reason. Turns out producers of the show planned to drastically cut back his role because they don't like him. Another source added to Perez Hilton that MTV was livid that Haynes had signed on for Leona Lewis' new video.

"Colton wants to stay on the show, badly. Apparently, [Teen Wolf creator] Jeff Davis is being irrational…" the source said. "He wanted to cut [Colton's] episodes to 12 instead of 24. And with that, NOT have him in the first 6 or the last 6 eps, which makes NO sense unless you don't like someone. It is like death, and during those 12 he is not in, they wouldn't let him do a movie or anything else."

Ultimately, he was the one to pull the plug, according to E! News.

"It didn't make sense for him," a source said. "It is heartbreaking for him. He is used to hanging out with the cast every day. They are his friends. But he couldn't agree to a limited role."

MTV still insists Haynes is on the show for Season 3. Maybe he's still contractually obligated to be there? Stay tuned for more on this drama.

Jennifer Aniston's yellow bling is worth a lot of green

Jennifer Aniston's engagement ring is huge, right? We assumed it was worth a lot of cash, but we never expected it to cost this much.

Jennifer Aniston engagement ring worth $1M?

Jennifer Aniston is one lucky girl. The actress — now engaged to her Wanderlust co-star Justin Theroux — finally showed off her huge engagement ring earlier this week. Initial reports listed the ring as being worth $500K. However, one prominent jeweler thinks it's worth about twice that amount.

"If this is a fine-quality diamond of at least 10 carats, which it looks to be from initial photos, we could be talking about a million-dollar ring here," Anthony Sarkissian of Premier Jewelry Lenders in Beverly Hills told SheKnows.

Whoa. That's a lot of cash to carry around on a daily basis.

Is Jennifer Aniston looking for a pre-nup from Justin Theroux? >>

"Keep in mind that 10-carat-and-over diamonds command a premium price in the diamond industry, because they are just more rare than smaller diamonds. The ring looks to be a cushion-cut or oval-shape diamond, mounted in a classic halo design. It may have Micro-Pave diamonds around the center stone as well," Sarkissian added.

He's basically saying it's a rockin' ring... literally.

Jen Aniston shows off her "preggo" belly in Smartwater spot >>

As for the color, we like that Aniston didn't go for the traditional diamond look, instead opting for a yellow diamond.

"This is a popular trend in Europe right now, but we are just starting to catch on in the States," Sarkissian added. "We will definitely be seeing a lot more of the yellow-gold style in the world of engagement rings, especially with Aniston setting the trend."

We know what you're wondering: How can Theroux afford such a ring? Aniston must have ponied up the cash for her own engagement band, right?

Not necessarily. Theroux does pretty well for himself; he might not be a recognizable actor, but he wrote the screenplays for Rock of Ages, Tropic Thunder and the upcoming Zoolander 2. Believe it or not, writing can be pretty lucrative — and Aniston's getting the rewards of his riches.

Baby for Bachelor couple

The Bachelor franchise can put this news in the "win" category, as one of its successful couples announce they have a baby on board.

This week, The Bachelor franchise officially evened the score of breakups versus marriages and babies. Yesterday, Season 13 contestant Jason Mesnick and his now-wife, Molly, announced that they are expecting a baby in March 2013.

MesnickBachelorBaby

This exciting addition to their family comes on the heels of the breakup news of Season 16 couple Ben Flajnik and Courtney Robertson and the rumored trouble between The Bachelorette Season 8 couple Emily Maynard and Jef Holm. The bad news has been cushioned by some good news, though. Besides the Mesnick pregnancy news, it was announced earlier this month that The Bachelorette Season 7 couple, Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum, will be married on a TV special later this year.

The new addition to the Mesnick family will be the second chilld for dad, Jason. He has a 7-year-old son, Ty,  from his first marriage. Ty played a significant role in his dad's Bachelor season. This will be the first child for Molly. The dad-to-be tweeted his excitement yesterday with, "Yes its true! WAHOOOOOOO!!! Molly is going to be a MOM and TY a BIG BROTHER! YIPPEEEEEEE!"

The couple had a pretty rocky start to their relationship when Jason chose Melissa Rycroft as his fiancee in the final episode. Their relationship was rocky at best when they tried to make a go of it while in hiding as their season aired. Once the show ended, they appeared on the After The Final Rose special, where Mesnick essentially dumped Rycroft on the air, saying he had chosen the wrong woman.

It was an awkward TV moment as Molly was brought back and asked by Jason to try to reignite their relationship. She agreed to give him a shot, and the two became engaged in New Zealand, where their original Bachelor story had ended. They married on TV in February 2010.

Don't cry for the dumped Rycroft, though. She hooked up with a former flame, Tye Strickland, and married him in December 2009. The couple now have a 20-month-old girl, Ava Grace, and they are living in Los Angeles while she performs on ABC-TV's Dancing With The Stars: All-Stars.

Colin Farrell talks about life after rehab

$

The actor didn't seek help until his son was three, but six years after getting that help, he talks about how selfish he was not to have done it in the first place.

Colin FarrellColin Farrell checked into rehab in 2006, and he is amazed at how much his life has improved since that day. He opened up to Perez Hilton about how much his life has changed now that he is no longer constantly doing drugs and drinking.

"I've got eight hours a day now that I didn't have before, when I was drinking every day for 18 years," he said. "It's honest; it's real. That's quite simply the coolest thing."

And that change has affected more than just Colin Farrell's life; it has affected the life of his son, James, who was born in 2003, three years before Colin decided he had a problem and had to do something about it.

"When I had James, I made a decision not to change," he said. "I literally said, 'I'm not changing! I'm gonna be his friend!' Like a f***ing 28-year-old, drug-addicted, drunk friend is exactly what my six-week-old son needs."

But he said he became sick of lying to his friends and family and was struggling in his life. The lies were not just about the drinking and drugs, he began to lie about everything in his life.

"Oh, I wouldn't tell a truth all day. If I'd had chicken and beans for dinner, I'd tell you I had steak and potatoes," he told Hilton. "No purpose, just habit. The amount of energy you have to put in and the amount of lies you have to tell to keep a drug habit alive, it's fairly significant. Your whole life is a lie."

It sounds like Farrell hasn't given up drinking altogether, but he is doing it more like a normal person. His son is almost 10 years old now and is probably happy he has at least eight more hours a day with his father. The actor's career also continues to go strong. He is currently in the middle of filming Saving Mr. Banks, which stars Tom Hanks and Emma Thompson . Farrell also has three other projects in the works.

Celebrity Apprentice announces all-star season

The newest season of Celebrity Apprentice will begin taping on Monday, and this one is full of true all-stars.

Celebrity Apprentice

It seems like just a few short months since we've had a Celebrity Apprentice. At least some version of it. Now the newest version is returning, and this one is good. Friday on Today, NBC and Donald Trump announced the contenders for this season of Celebrity Apprentice: All-Stars.

Past winner Bret Michaels may be the most notable, and he will be joined by country singer Trace Adkins, magician Penn Jillette, actress Marilu Henner and Apprentice diva Omarosa. In a year with multiple reality shows returning with their "all-star" season, this may be one of the most popular. Many of the contestants were slightly contentious during their seasons, and this one is bound to be dramatic.

"Trump has selected fourteen people from the first five seasons of his show to compete against each other for the all-star season," according to Vintage Vinyl News. "Among those is season three champion Bret Michaels who won the big prize even though he had undergone brain surgery between the taping of the competitions and the final live show."

Taping for the new season starts on Monday, but episodes won't begin airing until March 2013. It's hard to believe, but 2013 will mark the show's ninth year — and 13th season.

"Also on hand will be NBA Hall-of-Famer Dennis Rodman, singer La Toya Jackson and Playmate of the Year Brande Roderick," said the Associated Press.

Gary Busey, Stephen Baldwin, Dee Snider and Lil Jon will also be joining the season.

Michaels will be the only returning winner this season. The other four winners, Piers Morgan, Joan Rivers, John Rich and Arsenio Hall, will be appearing on the show but as advisers. Why Michaels would not be an adviser wasn't mentioned, but we can only guess it's because he is an entertaining contestant and will be better in that role.

Ke$ha marks a first for Vibe magazine

Ke$ha has helped mark a milestone for the magazine, becoming the first live, solo, white woman on the cover of Vibe.

Ke$haVibe magazine hit an important milestone this month, but so did pop singer Ke$ha. In this month's issue, she appears on the cover, something that has never happened before.

"Eminem and his 8 Mile cast reunited to celebrate the film's 10th anniversary with a feature in Vibe's October/November issue," said MTV, "but the historic double issue also includes a feature with Ke$ha, making her the first white female artist to land a solo cover on the magazine."

Actually, Amy Winehouse did appear on the cover back in 2011, but it was posthumously. And Gwen Stefani appeared on the magazine back in 2005 but with Pharrell Williams. In true Ke$ha fashion, the singer appears on the cover in a see-through black lace dress, grabbing her... well, better parts. In the magazine, she spoke about her music and how far she has come since the beginning .

"The first record was a celebration of partying and being young, but this record's a better look at my personality," she told Vibe, via MTV.

When asked about her party image, she doesn’t seem to mind the criticism: "Whatever, I drink like a champion. But I can also do other stuff. I have a sense of humor about my lyrics. I'm not a train wreck, I'm just having fun."

After the first record, the singer said she had many critics, and they helped her figure out who she is, as a person and as an artist.

"I did some soul-searching, and realized nothing I'm doing is negative, it's actually super positive," she said. "You can change people's mood in a three-and-a-half minute song. So why not spread positive energy and be funny? Let [the haters] be miserable."

While appearing on the magazine marks an important milestone, both for Ke$ha and Vibe, it's not too surprising. Many in the industry have been talking about her rapping skills.

"The first time someone called me a rapper, I started laughing," she said, according to MTV. "I was shocked, and thought it was hilarious. But then, Andre 3000 was telling me how he thinks I'm a good rapper. And Wiz, who's a good friend of mine, thinks I'm a good rapper? Snoop? It's crazy and funny to me."

Ke$ha's new album, Cannibal, is scheduled to be released on Nov. 30.

Jennifer Hudson, others perform at Whitney Houston tribute

CBS's tribute to the late singer was filmed in Los Angeles, to air in November. Celebrities and singers alike showed up to share how much Whitney Houston meant to them.

Whitney Houston

Just before the Grammys in February 2012, Whitney Houston died, leaving the crew of the show scrambling to put together a tribute for her. They did it beautifully, with a rendition of "I Will Always Love You," sung by Jennifer Hudson.

This time, they have more time to prepare but wouldn't change a thing. They have again brought in Jennifer Hudson for the show.

“Rocking a pompadour and glittery jacket reminiscent of Houston's stage costumes from the 1980s, Hudson belted out a medley of Houston's hits Thursday at the Nokia Theatre for We Will Always Love You: A Grammy Salute to Whitney Houston, which will air as a TV special next month," according to the Associated Press.

Ken Ehrlich, the Grammy Awards' executive producer, also worked on this project and said it was important to make the show about her life and not her death.

"There's so many people on this show that worked on that show... all of them knew and worked with Whitney," he told the LA Times. "I really don't want to say how difficult that was for us."

Others participating in the tribute include Britney Spears, LL Cool J, Halle Berry and CeCe Winans. Berry recalls how inspiring Houston always was to her.

"She inspired a generation of little girls and women to believe in their own dream and to know that they had within themselves the greatest gift of all," Berry told the LA Times. "I was one of those little girls who then became a woman who never, ever, ever stopped loving Whitney Houston."

Britney Spears also said how important this tribute was to her and that she was honored to be involved.

She mentioned how she was always a "huge fan," according to the Associated Press. "I think that her voice is better than God."

Whitney Houston died in February, at just 48 years of age. Her cause of death was later called an accidental drowning complicated by heart disease and drug use. The tribute will air on CBS in November.

It has been more than 20 years since Madonna and Sean Penn were divorced in 1989, but it looks like old habits may die hard. The actor was spotted in the crowd at Madonna's Staples Center concert this week, and witnesses say it may have been more than friendly.

"He was practically panting," a witness told Radaronline.com. "Every time she thrusted or bent over, he was like, 'Oh, man! I can't take this! She is too hot!'"

Penn's friend Rita Wilson also attended the show, remarking about Madonna's sexy act as well.

"Just like old times," she said, according to witnesses.

"You're not kidding," Sean replied.

However, it looks like the singer kept it a lot cleaner than her normal shows, as she had her 12-year-old son Rocco join in as one of her backup dancers.

Madonna played along, though, and she knew her ex-husband was in the crowd.

"At one point she stared Sean dead in the face, smiled, unzipped her pants, and mooned the crowd, but it was really like she was mooning Sean," said the witness. "He laughed and clutched his chest like he was going to pass out."

After the show, the tryst continued, with Penn going backstage to meet with Madonna.

"Sean was like a teenage boy meeting his idol," another witness said. "It was amusing, and kind of cute."

He was then spotted going into Madonna's trailer. The couple was married from 1985 to 1989. The marriage was always tumultuous, and ended when Madonna reported Penn attacking her. But they have remained friends over the years.

But in true Madonna style, the show wasn't all skin and sex; it carried a political message as well. As Madonna stripped, she revealed a name printed on her back. The name was Malala, the 14-year-old Pakistani girl who was recently shot by the Taliban for encouraging women's rights.

The actress was arrested Thursday after the early-morning assault, but her rep is saying it was just a "misunderstanding."

Taryn Manning

Actress Taryn Manning was arrested Thursday after an alleged early-morning assault on her assistant, Holliann Hartman, at the Dream Hotel in New York.

"Police sources [said] that the incident occurred at approximately 5 a.m. yesterday when the 33-year-old Manning punched and kicked the 23-year-old woman, causing scratches and bruises to the latter's face and neck," said E! News. "She also allegedly grabbed the victim by the throat."

Manning was arraigned on Friday but spent more than 24 hours in jail before being released.

"Her lawyer, Joseph Tacopina, says Manning and the assistant got into a confrontation but it was not an assault," said the Associated Press. "He says it was 'a little misunderstanding between the two.'"

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Hartman is also Manning's makeup artist and lives in her Los Angeles home with Manning and her two dogs. The two women reportedly vacation together regularly.

"There was an unfortunate incident between two very dear friends, who are like family to each other," a rep for Manning told the Hollywood Reporter. "We believe the situation at hand will be clarified and resolved between the two friends expeditiously."

Manning has been charged with misdemeanor assault, but her rep said that Hartman does not plan to file any charges against her friend. In fact, she told TMZ she wants the charges dropped against Manning.

"We're told last night they were partying late, and came back to the Dream Hotel and they were 'very drunk,'" said TMZ. "The two started arguing and we're told at around 2 AM it started getting physical, when Taryn allegedly struck Holly in the face with a closed fist, kicked her in the face and torso and slammed her head against the floor and wall."

The actress may be best known for playing Eminem's ex-girlfriend in 8 Mile. She also played the recently deceased Johnny Lewis's character's girlfriend in Sons of Anarchy. Manning is due back in court Nov. 13.

Britney Spears' ex-manager is suing her and her parents

Spears's ex-manager is claiming he was blamed for her meltdown in 2007. He is suing for that and the alleged libel that occurred against him in Lynne Spears' book.

Britney Spears

The trial is set to begin next week in the case of Britney Spears' ex-manager, Sam Lufti. But instead of having the support of the pop singer, the case is actually against Spears — and her family.

"Jurors will begin hearing testimony next week on claims by Spears' former manager that he was vilified and unfairly blamed for the singer's public meltdown more than four years ago," said the Associated Press. "Former Spears confidante Sam Lutfi is seeking millions of dollars from Spears and her family, claiming her mother's book lied about him drugging and isolating the pop superstar."

After the "meltdown," Spears was ordered by a court into a conservatorship, which is why she may not have to testify at this trial.

"He is also seeking a portion of the singer's profits, claiming he was a key player in her 2007 album Blackout and had the right to serve as her manager for years," said the AP.

However, both parents, divorced now, are expected to testify in their own defense.

Spears' father, Jamie, and Britney's ex-husband, Kevin Federline, were said to still exert large amounts of control over her personal life, even with the conservatorship in place.

"Lutfi sued in February 2009, roughly a year after Spears was hospitalized and placed under the conservatorship to take control of her health and finances. The move by Jamie Spears came after months of erratic behavior by his daughter," said the AP, "including shaving her head, speaking in a British accent and other bizarre incidents that also led to her losing custody of her two sons with ex-husband Kevin Federline."

Another part of the lawsuit involves allegedly defaming statements made by Britney's mother, Lynne, in her book.

"Lutfi claims he was trying to aid Spears' career and help her regain custody of her children," said the AP. "The book's allegations have caused him to be 'subjected to unfathomable amounts of ridicule and public scorn,' his lawsuit states."

The burden is on Lufti to prove that Lynne Spears knew the comments were false.

Anne Hathaway won't be up for 2 of the same Oscars

Anne Hathaway is in two huge movies this year, but what will happen during awards season? One of the films has made sure she won't be nominated twice for Best Supporting Actress.

Anne Hathaway

With two blockbuster movies out in the same year, many worried that Anne Hathaway might have to compete against herself for an Academy Award. She might have been nominated for her role in The Dark Knight Rises. But she also stars in Les Miserables, which will be out Christmas Day this year. Both parts could be, and probably should be, considered in the Best Supporting Actress category.

"Warner Bros. has decided to run Hathaway in the Best Actress category for her role in The Dark Knight Rises," said Christopher Rosen with the Huffington Post. "The move leaves Hathaway's buzzed-about turn in Les Miserables as her sole chance for Best Supporting Actress."

For those behind the latest Batman film, the choice is pretty surprising because of the competition she'll be up against in the Best Actress category. According to Rosen, she may have had a better chance at an award if given a Supporting nomination.

"If there is going to be one, it will most likely be [Hathaway]," wrote prominent Oscar blogger Sasha Stone to the Huffington Post. "True, everyone thinks Les Miz will be her big Oscar grab, and it probably will be but — that doesn't take away the fact that she's still the [Dark Knight Rises'] best shot at an acting nod."

Hathaway is by no means a shoo-in for the Best Actress award, or even for a nomination, because of the other possibilities this year. Other actresses being considered are Helen Mirren for Hitchcock, Marion Cotillard for Rust and Bone, Jennifer Lawrence for Silver Linings Playbook and Keira Knightley for Anna Karenina, among others.

Nominations for the awards will be announced in January, just a few weeks after Les Miserables will be released in theaters.
