[Warning: Spoilers for Season 14 of Grey's Anatomy ahead.]

Last fans saw from the group of Seattle-based doctors, Jo and Alex were finally married after many ups and downs. Owen and Amelia reconciled, but a wrench will be thrown into their relationship when they learn Teddy seems to be pregnant with Owen's child. Now that Kim Raver has been promoted to a series regular for this season, Teddy isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

Oh, and, of course, Arizona and April officially said their goodbyes. Arizona moved to New York with her daughter, Sofia, to start new work teaching with her mentor. Their move also meant they'd be closer to Callie. As for April, she married Matthew and looked forward to providing health care to the homeless in Seattle.

If you haven't heard, season 15 has been labeled the "season of love." Does this mean Meredith will find love again post-Derek? Seeing as former Nashville and The O.C. actor Chris Carmack is joining Grey's for season 15 in a recurring capacity, he could very well catch Meredith's eye. Per TVLine, Carmack is playing an orthopedic surgeon and is said to be an "ortho god."

If that isn't enough season 15 scoop, Jeff Perry is also returning as Thatcher, Meredith's dad. According to Entertainment Weekly, details regarding Perry's appearance are unknown at this time, so who knows what will happen between father and daughter?

Why We Should All 'Sit Like a Man'

$

0

At some stage, most women have been instructed to “sit like a lady," which typically means to sit with our legs crossed or at least close together. The bottom line is we're told to make our body as compact as possible for the purposes of discretion and taking up less space.

Not only is that sexist, but according to Dr. Barbara Bergin, a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, it's also not good for our health. That's why she instructs people to "sit like a man" (or SLAM), though is quick to point out that she doesn't see it as a part of the "feminist movement," but rather the "women's health movement" because it can help with conditions like patellar malalignment, chondromalacia and gluteal tendonitis.

Intrigued by this idea, we spoke with Bergin as well as a few other experts to find out more about sitting like a man and what it can do for women.

What does it mean to "sit like a man"?

Of course, it goes without saying that different people sit in different ways, which may have nothing to do with their gender. Here, we're talking about the societal conventions of how men and women are "supposed" to sit, at least in public.

More: Stand Up Straight: Stretches That Improve Posture

In short, sitting like a man involves taking a more relaxed stance and, yes, spreading out. Bergin tells SheKnows that sitting like a man may take some time to get used to, as women are conditioned to sit with their legs slammed shut, so first we need to get comfortable with spreading our legs apart when we sit.

To do this, let your "knees drop slightly apart," Bergin says, adding that the idea is for your left leg to be at 11 o'clock while your right leg is at 1 o'clock.

While a little wider is fine, it's essential you don’t spread to the 10 o'clock and 2 o'clock positions, as "that would be manspreading," Bergin explain, referring to the public transit plague where men feel entitled to take up as much space as they feel they need, leaving other passengers (typically women) without seats.

Make sure while your knees "comfortably drift apart" you keep your "feet to the outside of your knees," she says. It's also important to remember to assume the 11 o'clock and 1 o'clock position when you are "getting in and out of chairs, because a lot of stress is placed on your knee cap when you sit down and stand up."

Bergin came to the realization that sitting with her legs spread apart was making her hip bursitis go away after switching from a vehicle that forced her legs together while driving to a larger truck that allowed her to "spread out” — after doing more SLAM'ing, her pain subsided.

What do other experts think?

Is Bergin onto something, or is this just the latest health fad? Jasmine Marcus, a physical therapist from Ithaca, New York, tells SheKnows that she agrees that women "shouldn't be afraid to take up space and sit like a man." However, she also believes that the key to dealing with joint pain is to sit in a variety of positions and avoid crossing your legs, which can "exacerbate your pain since the hips are extremely adducted in this position."

According to Dr. Michael Bogden, a board-certified sports physical therapist, sitting with your legs wide "with both legs slightly rolled out" puts the hips in an "open packed" position, where "the joint surfaces are least congruent/compressed." This position allows for "increased circulation in the joint and decreased compression," he tells SheKnows. However, this position can make you sit with your lower back in a "slouched position," which, he says, isn't good at all.

Furthermore, it's better not to sit for long periods of time if you can help it, no matter how you are sitting, Bogden says, adding that we need to take more standing breaks if our job forces us to sit for long periods, as sitting all day can increase our risk of cancer and heart disease.

According to Dr. Karena Wu, celebrity physical therapist and owner of ActiveCare Physical Therapy in NYC and Mumbai, the best sitting position is when you have "a good upright posture, with your butt back in your seat... and knees bent to 90 degrees, both feet flat on the floor in front of you."

More: 9 Things That Could Be Causing Your Headache

Sitting with your legs crossed at the knees (like so many women are in the habit of doing) can "torque the spine and shorten the inner thighs and lengthens the outer thigh, which can cause muscle imbalances," Wu says.

The verdict: Uncross those legs, ladies and gentlemen, and try to sit in a way that provides good support and posture that is also comfortable.

What to Say to Your Doctor If You Think You Have Endometriosis

Four years ago, I first noticed symptoms of endometriosis, a disease I didn’t even know existed at the time. I remember waking up late one morning and feeling as though I had pulled an all-nighter. I could feel contractions in all sorts of places I had never before been conscious of, and I couldn’t get myself out of bed.

During the following five days, I bled heavily and canceled plans with friends. The following month, the symptoms came back paired with sharp pain in my left hip — it felt like a trapped nerve or pain from exertion, but I hadn’t overexerted myself. I also felt like I had a recurring UTI or cystitis alongside food poisoning and new allergies, but tests showed that wasn’t the case. At the time, I didn’t see these as related symptoms. When I canceled on a friend for the gazillionth time, she told me, “That doesn’t sound normal.” It wasn’t.

When I first visited my regular physician with this severe cyclical pelvic pain and fatigue, I recall him telling me, “Period pain is normal. Have you tried ibuprofen?” I had, I told him, and it hadn’t helped at all. This was a different kind of pain — one that was difficult to forget about or subdue with over-the-counter drugs. “Many women,” he told me while staring not at me but his screen, “overestimate how much they bleed.” And for many months, that was that.

My symptoms began to creep into ovulation and soon became part of every day. I’d spend most of the month coiled up in pain with few moments of respite. I took all the drugs I could get my hands on in order to function. It took three years for me to get a diagnosis of endometriosis after countless invasive pelvic examinations, ultrasounds and two laparoscopic surgeries. After being dismissed for so long, I could hardly believe the biopsy results during the second procedure.

Looking at average diagnostic delays indicated by a study in a Scandinavian journal of obstetrics and gynecology, I was one of the more fortunate ones: I had a relatively short diagnostic delay. The study reported that, on average, it can take between six and seven years for a woman with pelvic pain to be diagnosed with endometriosis. An early diagnosis can reduce pain, emotional stress and professional setbacks, and it can improve your chances of conceiving. But what can you say to a physician to expedite a diagnosis?

Texas-based excision surgeon John Delumba frequently has patients with suspected endometriosis referred to him. He says the most common symptoms of endometriosis are heavy or irregular periods, lower back pain with periods, loose or painful bowel pain with periods, a family history of similar symptoms and painful intercourse. Patients also come to him with less common symptoms, including referred pain in their legs or thighs, seizures that coincide with menstruation and blood in their urine.

Endometriosis is an enigmatic disease, and its symptoms are not the same in every person. Here are just a few ideas of things to say to your physician that may help you get a faster referral to a specialist.

Mel B Opens Up About Struggling With PTSD & Addiction, Will Enter Rehab

It's been a difficult year for Mel B. In March 2017, she lost her father after a five-yearslong battle with cancer. In April 2017, Mel B (whose real last name is Brown) filed a restraining order against estranged husband Stephen Belafonte, citing years of physical and emotional abuse, and earlier this month, Brown and Belafonte divorced. Now, she is headed to rehab according to the British tabloid The Sun.

More: Yes, You Can Have PTSD Even if You Weren't Violently Attacked

In what appears to be an exclusive interview, Brown told The Sun on Sunday the past six months have been difficult for her. Brown, best known for her singing career (and former member of the Spice Girls) and her stint as a judge on America's Got Talent, says, "I’ve been working with a writer on my book, Brutally Honest," Brown said, "and it has been unbelievably traumatic reliving an emotionally abusive relationship and confronting so many massive issues in my life."

As such, she will seek treatment for issues with alcohol, sex and PTSD next month.

Brown is keenly aware that her problem is more than what appears at face value: “I am being very honest about drinking to numb my pain, but that is just a way a lot of people mask what is really going on," she told the newspaper. “Sometimes it is too hard to cope with all the emotions I feel. But the problem has never been about sex or alcohol — it is underneath all that."

Brown did not disclose the name of the treatment center but said she'll check into the facility sometime in the coming weeks.

When asked what prompted Brown to seek treatment, she simply said, "I am working on being a better version of myself for my kids — whom I love more than life itself — and for all the people who have supported me.”

Princess Charlotte & Her Granny the Queen Share a Major Interest

$

OK, we'll just put it out there: We have a sneaking suspicion that Princess Charlotte is Queen Elizabeth's fave grandchild. Not only is she literally a physical mini-me of the monarch (seriously — google some pics of Elizabeth as a wee lass), Charlotte already possesses the ability to command attention at any event — and completely upstage her siblings. (George and Louis who?)

And now, we've found out that Princess Charlotte is crazy about horses just like her grandmother. Apparently, Charlotte started riding when she was 18 months old — no biggie. You know, just riding for, like, half her life. The Duchess of Cambridge (that's Kate Middleton in case you need a royal refresher) spoke with equestrian Natasha Baker in 2016 about her budding equine enthusiast.

MoreWill This Royal Rule Help Princess Charlotte Become Queen Someday?

“I asked her how the children were and she said Charlotte is really enjoying her riding, which is great to hear, and I said we may see her here on a line-up in 20 years time,” said Baker according to the Mirror. “[Kate] emphasized that Charlotte has this passion for horses and although she doesn’t echo it, she’ll do her best to champion and encourage it.”

I mean, can you envision a day when Charlotte and her granny trot together on adorable shaggy ponies around the palace? Any palace they choose. We don't care. We can see it now. In 10 years, when the queen is 102 and Charlotte is 13, the two royal peas in a pod can ride together and trade sly, snarky comments about world affairs, school drama and dull high teas as they canter through a protected magical glade.

More: Kate Middleton's Photos of Princess Charlotte's First School Day Are Gold

Yes, we know. Charlotte's only three. Yes, we know a career as a jockey is probably forbidden. But mad equestrian skills run in the royal blood. Take Charlotte's dad's first cousin, Olympian Zara Tindall, a notable equestrian athlete like her parents, Princess Anne and Captain Mark Phillips. Tindall won the Eventing World Championships in Aachen, Germany, in 2006 and is already riding again professionally just two months after the birth of daughter Lena. Who's to say Charlotte won't be eventing down the line?

We're betting on it.

Kelly Clarkson Fans Are Trying to Make a Super Bowl Show Happen

The Super Bowl may not return until February 2019, but that certainly isn't stopping fans from campaigning for their favorite artists to be considered for the infamous halftime show. Following her opening performance at the 2018 U.S. Open on Monday, Kelly Clarkson fans got particularly vocal on social media about how badly they want their favorite singer to headline at the big game.

More: Kelly Clarkson Has a New Job, & We’re Totally Here for It

As reported by Us Weekly, Clarkson performed six of her biggest hits at the Arthur Ashe Stadium the night before the official start of the 2018 U.S. Open. The annual tennis tournament takes place in New York each year and draws all kinds of celebrities, not just to perform, but to watch the best athletes in tennis compete against each other for the title of champion. During Clarkson's performance, per Us, she joked, “I love opening for Serena Williams!”

During and after the performance, which was televised, several fans took to Twitter to show their support for Clarkson and to campaign that she headline the 2019 Super Bowl Halftime Show. One user wrote, "I feel like [Kelly Clarkson] just submitted her audition for the Super Bowl." Another added, "[Kelly Clarkson] is a national treasure... my GOSH we don't deserve her!"

Some fans couldn't believe Clarkson hadn't been asked to headline the halftime show yet. One wrote, "Why haven’t we had a Kelly Clarkson Super Bowl halftime show yet[?]"

Our favorite tweet may be the person who wrote, "Omg @kelly_clarkson performing at the #USOpen50 opening ceremony. The most fitting anthem queen for the 50 yr anniversary. Also this opening is 10000x better than the Super Bowl halftime show - @nfl take note!!!! BOOK THIS QUEEN!!!!"

It certainly wouldn't be a stretch for Clarkson, who got her start on the very first season of American Idol; she's definitely used to massive crowds and big, blowout performances. Us notes that she opened Super Bowl XLVI in 2012 when she performed the national anthem backed by a children's choir and a drum line, so it only makes sense she should check off another key Super Bowl box by doing a halftime show.

So, what exactly would she bring to the halftime show? She certainly has plenty of hits to bust out on the field stage, including "Since U Been Gone," "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)" and "Miss Independent," some of which she performed on Monday night.

More: Kelly Clarkson Is Getting Her Own Daytime Talk Show

Who knows if these huge dreams Clarkson's fans are trying to manifest will actually come true? Between the award show hosting gig, voicing a role in an animated movie and planning her daytime talk show debut, Clarkson's got a lot on her plate right now. But that doesn't mean we can't wish for this halftime dream to come true.

Gwyneth Paltrow's Kids Look Ridiculously Grown Up in New Photo

Occasionally, we catch a glimpse of actor and Goop founder Gwyneth Paltrow's family life of co-parenting and conscious uncoupling (with and subsequently from Coldplay frontman Chris Martin), and we have to say the two seem to be doing something right. Their kids — daughter Apple, 14, and son Moses, 12 — show up from time to time in their famous parents' social media feeds, and the latest pic of sister and brother shows that time is truly flying by for all (not just our own cranky, sunburned families). Whoa. The two siblings are practically as tall and lanky as their parents in Paltrow's latest Instagram pic, posted on Sunday.

In the picture, Apple and Moses are chilling in a green backyard. “Noooooo summer don’t go,” Paltrow captioned the shot. It's the first photo we've seen of her kids since her Father's Day shoutout to Martin on Instagram.

The kids are remarkable look-alikes of both Paltrow and Martin. With maybe a little Brad Pitt thrown in. We can't explain that.

MoreGwyneth Paltrow & Brad Falchuk's Future Doesn't Include More Kids

How sweet is that birthday message to Apple? "You make everyday feel like Christmas morning." Gah. And are we crazy for thinking that Moses looks juuuuuust a little bit like Paltrow's ex-beau, Brad Pitt? Yeah, we're probably crazy.

Paltrow is the queen of, well, goopy-but-sweet captions and hashtags: #Iwasbornthedayyouwereborn is pretty damn good. It must be all that yoni steaming and jade egg... uh... collecting. Her lifestyle company, Goop, may come under frequent fire for deceptive advertising and rather iffy claims of health benefits, but there's no doubt she and Martin are doing a swell job raising Apple and Moses.

Here's Everything We Know About Queer Eye Star Antoni Porowski's New Restaurant

Back in June, we discovered that Queer Eye's resident culinary expert, Antoni Porowski, would be opening his own restaurant in New York City. Now, we're getting more of the details about Village Den, and it seems like this is one restaurant that's definitely worth road-tripping to.

A fast-casual café, Village Den will focus on nutritious comfort food. It's located near a popular high-end gym in the West Village, so the low-carb menu is bound to be a hit.

More: What Queer Eye's Fab Fives' Relationships Are Really Like Behind the Scenes

Porowski gets a lot of flak for the simple food he teaches the heroes of Queer Eye to cook, but hey, he's helping them build new skills. If you've ever looked at his Instagram stories, you know Porowski has got serious chops.

Porowski is also, um, quite fit (in the British sense of the term too), so he's combining his love of eating healthy with his passion for cooking. Porowski told The New York Times that some of the dishes the restaurant will serve include turkey and cauliflower rice-stuffed cabbage rolls, macadamia-crusted fish sticks with maple parsnip mash and maybe even a few slices of avocado here and there (the original menu didn't have any, even though that seems to be the food Porowski is most associated with).

More: You'll Never Guess Which Queer Eye Costar Tan France Had a Crush On

Since he'll be busy filming Queer Eye and building his career in entertainment, Porowski is focusing on the menu-creation side of the business, while his partners will handle day-to-day operations. He said that after years working in restaurants in varying positions and as a sommelier, he never wanted to open a restaurant of his own — because he's seen firsthand how much work it is. With this arrangement, however, he gets to do the part he loves without having to worry about too many big-picture details.

Village Den opens in September, and if other Queer Eye fans are as excited as we are, you might want to get in line now.

Keanu Reeves Is Crashing Weddings to Promote His New Movie & We Can't Get Enough

If you're getting married before summer officially ends in September, you may have a surprise guest at your wedding: Keanu Reeves. Yes, that Keanu Reeves. Apparently, the handsome actor keeps getting photographed with couples just as they're about to tie the knot, which may or may not be a publicity stunt for his new movie, Destination Wedding.

More: Wait, Are Winona Ryder & Keanu Reeves Really Married?

HuffPost reports that Reeves has snapped photos with at least two couples at their weddings in August. Kilt makers Slanj Kilts tweeted a photo of Reeves with a couple in New York, writing, "Best #Wedding Picture EVER! Moray & Maura recently got hitched in New York and were #photobombed by a rather scruffy chap passing by. We think Moray looks way better than #KeanuReeves in his stylish @slanjkilts Modern Inglis #tartan #kilt and Midnight Blue Crail kilt outfit!!"

It is a really good kilt, and Reeves is "a rather scruffy chap." He's smiling wide in the photo with the happy couple, waving at the camera, and it's honestly like a whole new side to the notoriously one-note actor. But wait! That's not all.

In an interview with HuffPost on Monday, Jordan Camara said that his brother and his new wife, Jarrod Camara and Leslie Walker, spotted Reeves at the Dream Inn in Santa Cruz, California, literal moments before they walked down the aisle. They asked the actor for a photo and he kindly obliged, again showing a lot of emotion — and looking just as scruffy as he did in New York.

“My brother went over and Keanu got right up and shook everyone’s hands and then did that awesome pose for the picture,” Camara said. “He was just as calm and cool as you would think he’d be and he was happy to take a picture with them. It was really just a couple minutes right before the wedding but it made the bride and groom super happy right before they tied the knot."

As HuffPost notes, Reeves is currently promoting Destination Wedding, in which he stars alongside his longtime friend Winona Ryder. According to the plot synopsis, Frank (Reeves) and Lindsay (Ryder) meet on their way to a destination wedding, then realize that they basically hate everything — but they hate it together. Sounds like an excellent romantic comedy, honestly.

We don't know if Reeves is snapping photos at weddings he wasn't invited to attend in order to promote his movie or just because he's a super-fun guy, but either way, we're here for it. Like Bill Murray and Maroon 5 before him, Reeves is adding a little extra sparkle to these couples' special days.

Ben Affleck Is Reportedly Very Serious About Getting Sober

Ben Affleck has been in the news a lot over the last few days. On Aug. 17, he was spotted with Shauna Sexton, a Playboy model. On Aug. 20, numerous outlets reported Affleck and girlfriend, Lindsay Shookus, had split, and on Aug. 22, it was announced that Affleck would be returning to rehab — after an intervention by ex-wife Jennifer Garner. The good news is that Affleck seems to be taking his recovery very seriously.

More: Ben Affleck Has Been Taken Back to Rehab by Jennifer Garner

A source close to Affleck told E! News "Ben is still in rehab and has not left. He's doing OK, [and] he seems serious about living in for at least 30 days."

This is Affleck's third trip to rehab. He first sought treatment for alcohol addiction in 2001, and in 2017, he sought help once more.

According to E! News reports, Garner staged the intervention after noticing a change in Affleck:

"Ben was doing well for the last few months and very committed to his sobriety. But recently he started to slip up and began drinking again. Jen... was well aware of what was going on. She saw the photo of the alcohol being delivered to his house and knew he was home all day and that was the breaking point." Immediately afterward, Garner "arranged for him to go to rehab and staged an intervention with someone from the facility."

Sources say Affleck was very receptive: "He told Jen [the truth] and was not resistant. He asked her to take him [to rehab]."

More: Jennifer Garner Reportedly Won't Be Giving Up on Ben Affleck Anytime Soon

That said, Affleck has a long road ahead of him, as addiction is a chronic "condition that can be controlled but not cured" according to the Center on Addiction. However, his journey is far from impossible and we wish him, Garner and their three children nothing but the best.

Dentist Dr. LaShunda Thompson Roberts says it's important for patients to ask their dentist about the health of their gums as well as the teeth. "Healthy gums are maintained with daily flossing to prevent the buildup of plaque and bacteria between the teeth, so asking their dentist to show them how to floss effectively and properly is great," she tells SheKnows.

What is your specialty?

Not all dentist specialize in the same areas of oral health.

"It is important to understand all of the services that your particular dentist can provide you with," Dr. Jason Popper, a dentist, tells SheKnows. For example, he notes that if you see a dentist who specializes in periodontics, you will know that they will take extra steps to ensure that you have good gum health.

Are you board-certified in your specialty?

Additionally, Popper says it's always a good idea to check out the certifications and qualifications of all medical professionals, including your dental providers. He explains that board certification is the process by which dentists, physicians or other health care practitioners show their mastery of the basic knowledge and skills that define an area of dental or medical specialization.

"Seeing a provider who is board certified is almost like a little extra assurance that your doc is top-notch," he says.

How often do you perform the specific procedure I'm here for?

Your dentist will help you understand their level of experience, which in turn helps you feel more comfortable, Popper says.

What type of X-rays do you use?

X-rays are a common tool used in standard dental care and are used to check on the health of your bones, teeth and any prior dental work you already have.

"The dentists on the forefront of technology may be able to take digital X-rays, which are faster and far less intrusive that those pesky bite-trays we may remember from years back," Popper notes.

How long will each filling option last?

Not all dental fillings are the same, dentist Dr. Joseph Newell tells SheKnows. "Patients often don't know that some fillings last five years, while others should last the patient's lifetime," he explains. Knowing this info in advance can help you choose the next course of action and will keep you up-to-date on your own dental care.

Why am I snoring all the time?

It may seem odd to bring up snoring at a dental visit, but Dr. Paul Sussman, a dentist at the Center for Cosmetic Dentistry, tells SheKnows that if the people around you say you snore, your dentist can help identify sleep apnea.

"If you're diagnosed with sleep apnea — a process that generally involves meeting with outside doctors, such as a sleep specialist — your dentist may be able to fabricate a custom oral appliance to help keep your airway clear, reducing the negative effects of apnea," he explains.

Will I be facing any major work down the road?

Dentist Dr. Richard Wolfert recommends people nearing retirement ask their dentist about
possible major work down the road. For example, fillings that may eventually need caps, or any other work that could use the benefit of a work insurance policy.

How do my wisdom teeth look?

If you have wisdom teeth, it's natural to wonder if there are any problems lurking. Wolfert recommends making an inquiry about them — even if you aren't currently having an issue.

"The thought process is the dentist can make an assessment about the position of the wisdom teeth and prognosticate as to whether or not they could become an issue between appointments," he explains.

Should I have a root canal to try to save my infected tooth or a dental implant to replace the tooth?

Dentist Dr. Peter V. Vanstrom tells SheKnows that both root canals and dental implants have reasonably high success rates. "If you can save your own tooth, then do so. If the tooth is not salvageable, then a dental implant is a great option," he notes.

Dentist visits aren't always a favorite, no matter how old you are. But coming armed with a few pertinent questions will help you better understand your oral health and can help you feel more comfortable too — after all, your dentist is a partner in your general wellness and health care.

Mom's Guide to Sydney

We get it. Long-haul flights with kids are not the most relaxing way to start your vacation. But once you’ve touched down, you’ll find that Sydney — with its great weather, delicious food and beaches galore — is totally worth the journey. Here’s how to make the most of your time in the beautiful outdoorsy city.

What to do

Sydney is synonymous with the beach, and there are so many to choose from, you could go to a different one every day of your trip. Bondi Beach is the most famous; if it’s not swimming weather, do the Bondi-to-Bronte cliff walk, which takes you past three highly Instagrammable beaches. Alternatively, take the ferry from the city to Manly beach on the North Shore, where you can learn to surf, cycle along the promenade and ride the waterpark slides.

Koala's at Taronga Zoo

Also accessible by ferry is Taronga Zoo, where kids can get up close and personal with koalas, wombats, Tasmanian devils and other cool animals. You can even stay after hours for a night safari and sleepover at the zoo’s glampsite.

What to do in Sydney: Darling Harbour

Pedestrian-friendly Darling Harbour has tons of entertainment concentrated in one area, including an aquarium, a wildlife park, an Imax theater, a working 19th-century carousel and the beautiful Chinese gardens. Don’t miss Tumbalong Park with its deck chairs, umbrellas and fountains to splash around in.

What to do in Sydney: Powerhouse Museum

When you need an indoor activity, both the science-focused Powerhouse Museum and the venerable Australian Museum offer loads of kids programming — plus free entry for under 16s. And once you’ve taken the obligatory photo in front of the iconic Sydney Opera House, head inside for special performances and tours geared toward younger visitors.

Where to sleep

Where to sleep in Sydney: Swissotel Kid's Room

Many hotels — including the Hilton, Four Seasons, Novotel and Radisson properties — will let children stay in their parents’ rooms at no additional cost. But if you want some space to yourself (you are on vacation after all) then check out Swissotel's dedicated kids rooms with toys, games and tyke-appropriate toiletries and minibar snacks. You can even book a nanny through the hotel while you head to the heated outdoor pool or the spa. If you’d prefer self-catering accommodation, consider an Airbnb or a serviced apartment, such as Adina, Metro, Bondi 38 or Fraser Suites.

Where to eat

Sydneysiders spend a lot of time at cafés, so don’t be surprised to see young children sipping babycinos (steamed milk with a dusting of chocolate powder) alongside their parents. Most cafés offer kid menus, and many have outdoor space or dedicated play areas, including Shuk  in Bondi, Three Williams in Redfern, Bitton Gourmet in Alexandria and Clover Cafe in Annandale. Free-range tots can run wild in the playgrounds adjacent to Queens Park Shed in Randwick and the Grounds Keeper Cafe in Ryde while remaining within view of the dining area.

Where to eat: The Grounds

Older kids will love the vegetable garden and chicken coop at farm-to-table restaurant Acre Eatery in Camperdown. Coffee roastery and all-day cafe The Grounds of Alexandria also has "chooks" (aka chickens) as well as a resident pig named Kevin Bacon; plus the extensive patio area has lots of fun nooks and crannies to explore. Pubs like The Henson in Marrickville and the beachside Coogee Pavilion keep anklebiters entertained with giant board games, ball pits and climbing walls, while adults enjoy a grown-up drink or two. Speaking of which, here’s an insider tip: Australians don’t drink Foster's — try a Carlton or a VB instead.

It Looks Like Matt Lauer Is Preparing to Return to TV

Nearly a year after Tarana Burke's #MeToo movement became a viral hashtag, several men who were accused of sexual misconduct, abuse and assault are making their way back into the public eye. Among them is former Today anchor Matt Lauer, who was fired from NBC in November 2017 following an investigation into at least one sexual assault claim against him.

Now, Page Six reports that Lauer told fans he's working on rebuilding his career. According to a source, Lauer was out to dinner when a group of fans approached him and told him they missed him. Lauer reportedly replied, “I’ve been busy being a dad. But don’t worry, I’ll be back on TV.”

This report comes on the heels of news that Lauer was seen having lunch with a former Today senior producer in June. He's also been spending more time in social environments according to Page Six, including the Hampton Classic Horse Show on Sunday.

People reports that Lauer was also recently seen out and about with his soon-to-be officially ex-wife Annette Roque at the equestrian show, which is one of the largest outdoor horse shows in the U.S. The outlet notes that Lauer and Roque are reportedly in the midst of a $20 million divorce settlement. Roque first filed for divorce from Lauer in 2006 citing "cruel and inhumane" behavior, though she withdrew the petition after three weeks. She was again rumored to want a divorce in 2014, and following Lauer's firing from NBC in 2017, the pair stopped wearing their wedding rings. According to People, they were not speaking as of April 2018.

It seems Lauer may be staging a comeback on all fronts, professional and personal. He is not the only person accused of sexual assault last fall who is making his way back into the public eye. Vulture notes that similarly disgraced celebrities Louis C.K., Charlie Rose and Lorin Stein are all aiming to regain traction in their careers as well after facing allegations of sexual assault similar to Lauer's.

STD Rates in the US Now at a Record High

There are many types of sexually transmitted diseases.* In fact, according to the World Health Organization, more than 30 different viruses, parasites and types of bacteria can be transmitted sexually. However, despite advancements in awareness, education and prevention, the rates of syphilis, gonorrhea and chlamydia have continued to climb in the United States and now are at all-time highs.

More: Syphilis, Gonorrhea & Chlamydia Rates Highest Ever Recorded

In fact, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the rates increased for the fourth year in a row, from just over 2 million cases in 2016 to nearly 2.3 million cases in 2017.

According to a CDC statement, Dr. Jonathan Mermin, a physician and director of the CDC's National Center for HIV/AIDS, Viral Hepatitis, STD and TB Prevention, part of the reason for the increase is resource-based: “It is evident the systems that identify, treat, and ultimately prevent STDs are strained to near-breaking point."

In short, our medical system is stretched too thin.

Furthermore, certain diseases, like gonorrhea, run a very real risk of becoming antibiotic-resistant. "We expect gonorrhea will eventually wear down our last highly effective antibiotic, and additional treatment options are urgently needed,” Dr. Gail Bolan, director of the CDC’s Division of STD Prevention, said in the same CDC statement. "We must continue reinforcing efforts to rapidly detect and prevent resistance as long as possible.”

The good news is that at this time, most of these conditions are curable with antibiotics and, according to the CDC, our best defense against this increase is a renewed commitment from health care providers particularly "to make STD screening and timely treatment a standard part of medical care, especially for the populations most affected."

*Although we typically refer to sexually transmitted infections (STIs) rather than diseases (STDs), the term STD was used here to reflect the language in the CDC's report.

Busy Philipps Shut Down a Mom-Shamer With This Spot-On Response

Mom of two Busy Philipps is not here for men body-shaming her (or anyone) on Instagram.

The actor recently shared a gym selfie on Instagram for #TheAwesomeChallenge, a program that donates clothes to kids in need every time the hashtag is used.

But of course, some internet troll had to take a post about charity and make it about being mean-spirited. Welcome to the web in 2018.

The commenter told Philipps she looked bad in the photo, pointing out her seemingly nonexistent "rolls."

Don't worry. She had the perfect response.

Normally, I would say kill 'em with kindness, but sometimes people need to be called out. Philipps has a long history of supporting body positivity, especially among new mothers. Even though her daughters, Cricket and Birdie, are now 5 and 10 years old respectively, Philipps is constantly posting throwback photos of herself during her pregnancy as well as postpartum — to show support for bodies of all shapes and sizes.

And she does it in hilariously relatable ways. I mean, a few weeks ago, Philipps shared a photo of herself eating a sandwich during labor.

Ozark Season 1 Was Complicated — Here's What You Need to Remember for Season 2

A slow-burning crime drama set in the folksy American Midwest location of The Ozarks in Missouri, Netflix's Ozark burst onto the scene in 2017 bearing nothing but grim tidings. Boasting a top-notch cast with Jason Bateman and Laura Linney at the helm, Ozark is a show meant for fans of dark, crime-ridden dramas like Breaking Bad, The Killing and True Detective.

With season two on the horizon (it premieres on Aug. 31 to be exact), it would behoove us all to maybe take a trip down memory lane back to season one and refresh our memories on the events of the season. Sure, you can try and re-binge the first 10 episodes, which all premiered over a year ago on July 31, 2017, but why do that when you can get all caught up here?

More: Every TV Show That's Been Renewed in 2018 — so Far

So, let's recap Ozark, season one.

Meet the Byrdes

The Byrdes are a fractured family when we first meet them in season one. Patriarch Marty Byrde (Bateman) only appears like a clean-cut, put-together working father to kids Charlotte (Sofia Hublitz) and Jonah (Skylar Gaertner) and husband to Wendy (Linney). Wendy only appears to be a sweet, gentle wife and mother. But the season one premiere quickly establishes both Marty and Wendy as complicated (and eventual) partners in crime. We learn that Marty is working for a Mexican cartel as a money launderer and accountant of sorts for the outfit, while Wendy is having an affair behind Marty's back. Not so squeaky-clean after all...

Why did Marty move his family to the Ozarks?

Well, that's a bit tricky. See, Marty and a colleague got accused of stealing money from the cartel. After watching his colleague get murdered, Marty steals a very important suitcase full of money from his former employers. In an attempt to completely disappear off the cartel's radar, Marty and Wendy (who Marty clues in on his criminal activity and Wendy later informs their children about) hoof it with Charlotte and Jonah to the Ozarks.

There, crime is attracted to Marty; they're made for each other, really. Marty uses some of the stolen money to buy a ramshackle local bar, the Blue Cat Lodge, and invests money in the local strip club. Both become a front for Marty to do what he does best (and which he does only to keep his family afloat): launder money.

As Marty resumes his criminal activity, he begins to attract the attention of other questionable characters, including Jacob and Darlene Snell (Peter Mullan and Lisa Emery, respectively) as well as Ruth Langmore (Julia Garner) and her family of roughneck ne'er-do-wells.

So, wait: Who are the real bad guys in Ozark?

Technically, it's all a matter of perspective. Bad guys get ranked depending on how you view what's going down.

The Byrdes don’t exactly have clean noses, especially with their resumed criminal activities. Laundering money is a crime, so it’s only a matter of time before this doesn’t end well for at least Marty and Wendy. Then again, the Langmores — and especially Ruth, who gets a taste for real criminal activity — are truly thorny friends to have as far as the Byrdes are concerned. Ruth has killed to protect her criminal relationship with Marty, making her an already formidable foe even though she’s young.

What are some of the most important aspects of season one?

For one thing, the FBI is hot on the Byrde family's tail. They initially interview the Byrdes as the family is settling into the Ozarks because the feds deduce quite quickly that Marty's got a shady past. Soon, the Byrdes get themselves a permanent spot of the FBI's radar as they try to link Marty to the cartel in an attempt to bring the cartel down.

Speaking of the cartel, boss man Del (Esai Morales) tracks down Marty in an attempt to regain the stolen money. Things don't end so well for Del and his men; more on that in a sec.

Additionally, Blue Cat Lodge owner Rachel Garrison (Jordana Spiro) gets her hands on some of Marty's laundered money and gets out of Dodge — for now. While it's implied that she's truly screwed Marty over after he hurt her and her business with his dealings, we may not have seen the last of her, and she could very well return in season two to extract even more from Marty.

Marty begins working closely with the Snells, who are tied up in bringing drugs into their small town. Ruth's father is a dyed-in-the-wool criminal, and luckily, he's incarcerated in season one. That may change in season two (see the video below), and if he ends up getting released, we'll need to be worried for Marty's well-being.

And, if you want to get some visual flair with your recap or you want to get back into the Ozark vibe, check out Netflix's own, equally tidy refresher below.

What You've Always Wanted to Know About Yeast Infections (but Never Asked)

Did you know that 75 percent of people with vaginas will get a yeast infection in their lifetime? Or maybe even more importantly: Half will get more than one.

Yeast infections aren’t exactly the most wonderful companion to have. Anyone who’s had one will attest they tend to be itchy and irritating. As its name implies, a yeast infection is caused by an overgrowth of yeast in the vagina, and one can flare up for tons of different reasons, like pregnancy, using antibiotics or even sitting in a wet bathing suit or exercise clothes for too long.

Luckily, treating yeast infections doesn’t have to be a huge hassle. You’ll need an over-the-counter medicine, preferably one that targets all five of the most common types of yeast infections. And in case it’s not obvious, it’s always good to talk to your doctor whenever you’re having vaginal issues so they can make sure you’re healthy and that your suspected diagnosis is correct — especially if you’ve never had a yeast infection before.

Watch this video with Dr. Elizabeth Yuko, Ph.D., to learn more about yeast infections and what you can do to treat them.

Ree Drummond's Guesthouse, The Lodge, Is Now Open for Free Tours

Food Network's Ree Drummond has had one eventful year.

Back in April, Drummond and her husband, Ladd, opened up their new gorgeous hotel, The Boarding House. It was so well-received, in fact, that all eight rooms at the "cowboy luxury" hotel sold out in 30 minutes.

Two of the rooms, the prairie room and ranch, were inspired by Snively Barn on Drummond Ranch. And speaking of Drummond Ranch…

Get psyched, because Ree and Ladd have opened up The Lodge on Drummond Ranch for tours. The Lodge is not only their family guesthouse, but it also serves as the production location for her Food Network show, The Pioneer Woman.

To visit, you must get tickets first; you can grab them at the Drummonds' restaurant, bakery and general store, The Mercantile, which happens to be just three doors down from The Boarding House. No need to get the tickets ahead of time, either — because you can't. Show up the day of the Lodge tour, and they'll hand you tickets (at one ticket per group) and give you directions.

Oh, and did we mention tickets are free? Plus, there's no limit to the number of tickets available on tour dates. Drummond does warn, though: Open drawers at your own risk.

"I can't promise drawers and fridges are clean, as we just finished filming my cooking show. Open at your own risk," she wrote in an Instagram caption. "Petting Walter's head is an optional side activity. Just know that he's a bona fide country dog and you will want to wash your hands afterward. (Sorry, Walt.)"

Tours started Aug. 1 and will continue through Dec. 15, and The Lodge is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on open dates. You can find exact dates on The Mercantile's website.

Here's a taste of what you can expect:

While anyone can attend, there's one exception: No pets allowed — and for good reason. According to the website, "country dogs can be very protective of the homestead!"
