She's only been an official member of the royal family for one week, and already, Meghan Markle, now the Duchess of Sussex, has a royal coat of arms. The coat of arms was announced and debuted on the Instagram account for Kensington Palace, and we're not gonna lie: It's so, so gorgeous.

Not only did Kensington Palace show off the beautiful coat of arms in a dedicated Instagram post, but they also went through the imagery in the coat of arms in their Instagram Story, breaking it down for viewers.

With a lion and dove flanking Meghan's royal crest, the Instagram story began by noting that Meghan worked with the College of Arms to create a design that was "personal and representative."

The story continues, noting that the "blue background of the shield represents the Pacific Ocean off the California coast."

Keeping in the California groove (the state that Meghan once called home), there's a comment about how the two golden rays seen on the blue side of the shield represent the sunshine that is plentiful in California. Meanwhile, the three quills that you see in between the rays of sunshine represent communication and the power of words — things that Meghan, as a former actor and now philanthropist and humanitarian, knows all about.

Finally, the shield sits atop of lush field of greenery, with poppies dotting the landscape. This is no mere accident, either. As the Instagram story notes, "Beneath the shield sits a collection of golden poppies, California's state flower."

Now that she's a member of the royal family, Meghan is not going to be issuing a personal statement about her coat of arms (that's all handled through palace reps if and whenever necessary). That said, seeing all of the thought and detail that was put into this coat of arms makes it clear that even though she is so far from home, Meghan will always carry a piece of her life as a California native with her wherever she goes.

8 Moms Reveal Their Go-To Car Snack

When you've got a family on the go, you know how important it is to have snacks available even when you're in the car. Whether you're road-tripping or just going back and forth between school, work, home and practice, chances are that your car sees its fair share of mealtimes.

There are a lot of options out there, but some are better than others. We asked real moms about their favorite car snacks to see which items strike the perfect balance between satisfaction, convenience, kid-friendliness and tidiness. After all, no one wants to find yogurt slopped all over the back seat, and even if it's neat and healthy, most kids aren't going to be too enthusiastic about salmon jerky.

Instead, these treats are tasty enough for kids to enjoy while also being simple and easy to clean up if anything does get spilled. The next time you find yourself in the car with hungry kids in tow, consider one of these satisfying snacks.

Dried fruit

"I have a 2-year-old and we travel often (he's been on 25 flights and traveled to three countries)," shared Rebecca Cafiero, a holistic nutritionist. One of her favorite snacks for planes, trains and automobiles is dried coconut. It's "a delicious, crunchy snack....and if they spill, it's easy to clean up!"

Wheat Thins

Melanie, a mom of 6-year-old twins who blogs at Twin Mom Mel, reaches for the Wheat Thins on car trips. "They don't leave much residue on my fingers, plus I can share them with the kids," she explained.

Granola bars

Looking for a snack that's "easy to grab on-the-go, not too messy, and made from simple ingredients"? Jen Panaro, a mom of two boys, ages 5 and 3, and writer at Honestly Modern, reaches for all-natural granola bars (like Larabar) while out and about, usually at Sheetz.

String cheese

Some snacks are always a hit, and for Lauren Goldblatt, mom to two boys, ages 5 and 6, there's one that stands out. "Two words...String. Cheese." Why is it a hit? "It's healthy (lots of calcium), fun (peel away!), and not messy (my personal favorite)."

Pretzels

You can't go wrong with a classic, and for Hyacinth Tucker of The Perfect Gift Concierge, that means pretzels. "My daughter is 11 years old. Our favorite go-to snack for the car is pretzels. They can survive all temperatures (hot or cold car), and they curb our appetite until we eat a meal."

Muffins

Planning ahead is great, but sometimes you have to stop for a bite to eat. Jessica Wright of Millennial Mommy has twin toddler girls. When they need to stop for a snack, she likes to get muffins or loaves of banana bread and the like at a convenience store.

Apples (with cream cheese or nut butter)

"I have two priorities in the car when we are on a road trip," shared Leslie Fischer of Sustainable Slumber, a mom of four boys ranging in age from 3 to 9. "One, I do not want foods that create crumbs. And two, I want something healthy to keep tempers cool." Her trick? "I slice an apple in half and cut out the core, creating a 'well' in the middle of the apple half. I fill that hole with cream cheese, peanut butter or other nut butters. Then, I put the two halves of the apple back together and hold it together with a rubber band." There are no crumbs, and the filling can't escape from the apple since it's held together with the rubber band.

Mandarin oranges

Sometimes nature provides the perfect snack, says registered dietitian Lauren O'Connor. When she needs a road trip snack for her 9-year-old twin girls, she opts for mandarin oranges, which are often sold under the name Halos or Cuties. "They're small, naturally packaged (with easy-to-peel skin) and tasty. Small is good because they can easily finish one, thus there's no waste."

Justin Hartley Says, 'We're Going to Make You Cry' With This Is Us Season 3

We've barely recovered from the Season 2 finale of This Is Us that aired in March, and Justin Hartley is already teasing Season 3. We're conflicted — we love it, but dude, can you give us some time to breathe?

More: Justin Hartley Was Sexually Assaulted by a This Is Us Fan

Earlier this week, Hartley sat down with E! News to chat about This Is Us, among a variety of topics. Although Hartley is largely sworn to secrecy about the specific details of the upcoming season, he was able to drop some clues about how This Is Us would make us, the very loyal viewers, feel while we watch. Warning: It's not going to be all laughs.

After being asked what secrets he could reveal, Hartley gave a sigh (a bad omen if you're a fan of the show) and replied, "Without divulging too much, without spoiling things, I can tell you that in keeping with the This Is Us form and fashion, we're going to make you cry [and] we're going to to make you laugh. I think we have a lot more laughs in Season 3. And probably more tears. And I'll say with confidence that Season 3 is easily our most ambitious season."

Hartley E! News Season 3 Teaser Vid

Even though we're bracing for all the tears we're going to shed, it's nice to know that there will be lots more levity than we're used to in the upcoming season. It's also worth hooking into Hartley's comment that Season 3 is going to be more ambitious, because it could relate back to a lot of things This Is Us set up in the final handful of Season 2 episodes.

Can we expect more flash-forwards, as we saw with the much older Randall and Tess? Will we get to see more of that overseas trip Kevin took with his new ladylove, Beth's cousin Zoe? Or will we get introduced to new characters, like Jack Pearson's younger brother, who we briefly met early on in Season 2? Whatever is in store for us in regard to the ambitious side of Season 3, we're so ready for it.

More: The This Is Us Family Group Text Is So Relatable

And of course, E! News wanted to confirm whether Kevin will actually be OK since Season 2 really put him through the ringer.

When asked if Kevin will be happier in Season 3, Hartley replied, "I hope so, and I think he's armed with the tools now to be able to navigate certain life situations a little bit better than he has in the past."

Interestingly, it sounds like Kevin will truly get the redemption he's been hoping for, because after explaining why it took two whole seasons to track Kevin's downward spiral from superficial hotshot actor to an addict in recovery, Hartley concludes, "Sometimes you have to go [to rock bottom] (and it's a very real problem) in order to find grace."

Hartley's comments have us simultaneously excited and nervous for Season 3, but mostly excited. The premiere date for Season 3 has yet to be confirmed, but when it is, you know we'll be right here to report on it.

Chris Hemsworth Rocks Out to 'Wrecking Ball' in Adorable Family Video

I'm not sure why demigod and Thor star Chris Hemsworth forsook me and had adorable children and got a really cute dog with somebody else, but seeing him rocking out at home to his kind of, sort of sister-in-law Miley Cyrus's hit, Wrecking Ball, eases the pain somewhat. Miley's engaged to Hemsworth's brother, Liam Hemsworth, BTW, in case you were living on a deserted island without Wi-Fi and hadn't heard.

I grudgingly admit it looks like my Australian intended and his kids are having fun without me. Oh, fine. Go on. Have a look.

Chris Hemsworth

Can you even stand it? Is he not the best papa ever? Chris Hemsworth posted the video clip on Twitter with the hilarious caption, "What started as a ground breaking music video ended in a savage attack by a cowardly K9. Never work with Kids or Animals. #wreckingball #wreckingdog #daddydaycare #murderonthedancefloor @mileycyrus @liamhemsworth."

The elder Hemsworth has been married to Spanish model, actor and producer Elsa Pataky — best known for her role as Elena in the Fast and Furious film series — since 2010. The ridiculously photogenic pair has three ridiculously photogenic offspring: a daughter, India, 6, and twin sons, Sasha and Tristan, 4.

Hemsworth tagged his brother and Cyrus on Twitter, and Cyrus also shared the video with three heart emoji attached. In an interview with SiriusXM earlier this year, Hemsworth spoke warmly of Cyrus and said they get on really well, though he denied speculation that his brother and Cyrus had married over the holiday season.

Hemsworth clearly adores life as a family man — and as a feminist. His Instagram post on March 8 in honor of International Women's Day featured him and his wife on some breathtaking coast (ugh) and the caption, "Happy international women’s day to my beautiful wife, daughter, Mum and all the incredible women out there for their strength, compassion and courage to make the world a better place and let’s not forget that the women of tomorrow are being grown and nurtured among the children of today! Yet another reason to #defendchildhood for all children today and every other day!"

How I Survived a Cult

$

“The best seats I ever had at Madison Square Garden were at my mother’s wedding.”

This is how I explain part of my childhood — the cult part — to people who don’t know me. You have to be of at least a certain age to get the reference. Back in the early 1980s Rev. Sun Myung Moon, a self-proclaimed Messiah and leader of the Unification Church, led a mass wedding at Madison Square Garden. My mother, older brother and I were members of this church — we were “Moonies” — and my mother was one of the 4,150 Moonies married during the ceremony.

We hadn’t always been Moonies. My mother joined when I was 10 years old and brought my brother and me along with her. We became fervent followers — I spent Sunday afternoons standing on a box in the then-seedy Times Square shouting through a bullhorn at the sinners on the street doing my best to save the world for God.

When you grow up in a cult, you have no idea it’s a cult.

More: Can Cults Really Be Empowering for Women?

My life, mind and soul were dedicated to Moon and his teachings. His children were some of my best friends, and I was a frequent guest at his dinner table or in his pool. I believed in his Truth and pledged my devotion — and blood, sweat and tears.

I pledged my devotion until, for a variety of interrelated reasons, I questioned my devotion. While the church’s puritanical mandates had not only been a haven from the nonconventional (some might say dysfunctional or dangerous) lifestyle my parents had lived — and exposed my brother and me to — in our earliest years, toward the end of high school, I began to doubt if I could or would live my life as a Moonie.

It was not a simple or easy thing to do.

When you have learned and believed that there is a Truth and that there is “right” and “wrong,” it’s terrifying to walk away from what you have known as right. One of the things about mind control and extremist situations is that they teach you that questioning and doubting are signs of weakness and sin. Any inklings of misbelief are a sign that Satan is conquering you. Any hesitation or uncertainties are your defects. You think, “Why?” or “Why not?” and your brain screams, “Get out, Satan,” as you were taught to do. You fall to your knees and repent for your wickedness.

Questioning — or leaving — is not a simple or easy thing to do.

I did slowly find my way out of the Moonies. I went to college, and the physical separation gave me a bit of space to try to think things through for myself. The problem is I had learned not to think things through for myself. Instead, I found myself wracked with anguish and tormented by the thought of leaving the Truth and the Messiah — not to mention almost everyone and everything I knew and loved. I nearly threw myself over a bridge just off campus. I questioned endlessly — in my mind and to others — “What should I do? What should I do?”

Finally, a friend offered me, “Maybe it’s right, but it’s just not right for you.” I clung to that as my lifeline and began to pull myself further and further away.

But I don’t think I felt good about what I was doing. My sophomore year, I became anorexic. My junior year, I developed a mild cocaine addiction. My senior year, I dove into a relationship with someone who was already taken and became the “other woman.” A few years out of college, I found myself engaged to a man who drank and drugged (hard) with my dad and who was mean to me when he did.

In retrospect, I think I was punishing myself for leaving the Messiah and disappointing God. Luckily, that engagement became a bit of a bottom for me. (Funny that the anorexia, cocaine addiction and other disastrous relationships didn’t.)

I stumbled into a 12-step program, crying, “Tell me if I’m with an alcoholic. There’s no way I would ever be with an alcoholic.”

Apparently, there were many, many reasons why I would be with an alcoholic, including the fact that I was raised in a cult. It does warp your mind… and your self-esteem.

They never told me if I was with an alcoholic. They never told me very much other than, “Keep coming back. It works if you work it.” But they offered me hugs and understanding. And by coming back — and back and back some more — and by adding mindfulness, meditation, yoga, self-compassion and acceptance, a few decades of therapy (and trauma therapy) and at times, practically anything I could find that would up my self-love and self-care (and, again, self-compassion) I began to build a new life.

I have built a life that astounds me. A life I never knew I could have. A life I never knew existed. I certainly have emotional and mental scars from my childhood, but I’ve learned to live with them, to lessen them and to let them be OK.

I know growing up in a cult is different. When I told both my kids about my experiences, they both responded with, “I didn’t see that coming,” to the cult part. Who would, I guess? I also know my emotional and mental scars are pretty universal. No one seems to identify with my actual story; many people identify with my pain and struggles.

I also now know that no matter what one has endured — and there are many people who have endured far worse than I have — there is a way to happiness and contentment. There is a way to peace. It can take a great deal of work, but it’s worth it.

It takes releasing some of the nasty lies you may have learned through the nasty experiences and learning some kindler, gentler truths. Truths like you deserve to be happy. You deserve to find joy. You deserve to be at peace. Because we all do.

Why Ivanka Trump Is Rushing to Serena Williams' Defense

Serena Williams' return to tennis is getting off to an unfair and rocky start. After going on maternity leave so she could bask in the glow of life as a first-time mother to her daughter, Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr., we learned that Williams would actually be penalized for doing so during the French Open. This seemingly unfair penalty earned at least one critic — someone you might not immediately expect to jump to Williams' defense — and they didn't stay quiet about it on social media.

More: Serena Williams Gets Real About Postpartum Struggles

Turns out, if you come for Serena Williams, Ivanka Trump will be right there to defend her. That's exactly what happened when it was reported by ESPN that the French Tennis Federation would not give Williams a seeding prior to the 2018 French Open. This means that Williams might have to play highly ranked players in the first rounds of the Open and it puts her at a disadvantage in terms of standing within the tennis community. Generally speaking, it looks really bad — and that's only made worse by the fact that Williams' is currently ranked No. 453 after standing to No. 1 before having her daughter.

This penalty may have a solid foundation within the various rules for the French Open, but from the outside, it feels like Williams' is being unfairly punished for having a child and then taking the time away from her profession to actually be with her. Upon seeing this news, Trump was quick to hop on to Twitter to sound off, voicing her support for the renowned athlete.

Ivanka Trump Serena Williams Penalty Tweet

Ivanka Trump Serena Williams Penalty Tweet

"This is ridiculous. @SerenaWilliams is a formidable athlete (best ever!) and loving new mother. No person should ever be penalized professionally for having a child! The #WTA [Women's Tennis Association] should change this rule immediately," Trump wrote on Thursday.

It's certainly nice to see that Trump, a mother of three, is coming to Williams' defense regardless of how unexpected it may seem. Williams has been working so hard to make her big tennis comeback, a comeback that is well deserved after going through hell just to give birth to her beautiful baby girl. Again, we're sure there's a logic to the ruling here, but at what cost? Is it truly necessary to penalize Williams like this?

Williams hasn't released an official statement on the ruling. Hopefully, if she sees Trump's tweet, she gets a little bit of comfort from it.

William H. Macy Wants His Daughters to Enjoy Sex & Have Plenty of It

It may feel odd to read about a father — namely, actor William H. Macy — speaking up about his daughters' sex lives, but believe us when we say Macy's opinions are refreshingly sex-positive, and we could do with more opinions like these in the world.

More: Felicity Huffman Gets Real About Marriage to William H. Macy

While promoting the upcoming season of his hit TV show, Shameless, Macy got candid with Us Weekly about the topic of his daughters, Sofia, 17, and Georgia, 16, having sex and the way he wants to treat them as a father when they do come into their own as sexual people.

"You know, I started doing all the cliches, ‘I’m gonna threaten the guys, I’m gonna dig a moat around our house,’" Macy remarked. "And then I thought, ‘OK, what do you really want for your daughters?’"

Macy's realization, which he goes on to reveal to Us, is one we don't often hear from fathers, but gosh darn it, we really should. "And I realized: I want them to be happy and lusty and safe. I want them to have a lot of sex in their lifetime! Good, healthy wonderful sex with no guilt. That’s what I really want."

It's easy to get a bit puritanical about Macy's remarks; we get it. But the thing is, it sounds like Macy is comfortable acknowledging the fact that his daughters will be having sex one day, and he wants to foster a healthy attitude toward sex. It's the kind of opinion that implies he has been and will continue to be honest with his daughters about sex, and he won't play into patriarchal stereotypes about controlling or repressing his daughters' sexuality.

The Shameless star also commented that he's already accepted that Sofia and Georgia, who are already hanging out with boys in more platonic yet intimate ways than he's used to, are likely laying the groundwork now for future sexual relationships.

"They’re different than when I was a kid. Georgia and Sofia have all their pals over. They will have six or eight of their friends over. It’s pretty bizarre, especially with Sofia, to wake up in the morning and there’s some boy walking out of your daughter’s room! They all sleep together! I don’t think they have sex, well, I know they don’t."

MoreFelicity Huffman Shares the Oh-So-Honest Interview She Did With Her Kids

At the end of the day, Macy sounds like he's coolly accepted that his daughters are going to have sex; it's just a fact of life. He seems to be handling it really well, and with a modern, positive approach like the one he's illustrated to Us, it seems he really can't go wrong.

Alec Baldwin Compares his 4-Year-Old Daughter to Oprah — Here's Why

We have to give cool points where cool points are due. This week, those points go to Alec Baldwin, who hilariously described some of the big differences between his children and likened his youngest daughter, 4-year-old Carmen, to one of the greatest ladies of the century: Oprah Winfrey.

More: Alec Baldwin's Talk Show Is Happening (for Real This Time)

All of this goodness went down on Live with Kelly and Ryan Friday morning, when Baldwin opened up to cohosts Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest about the hilarious differences between his children. Trust us when we say this conversation only gets better with every passing moment.

The topic came up when Baldwin remarked, "In my house, we have our daughter, Carmen, and we have our two boys. We just had our third boy in a row [Romeo Alejandro, born May 2018] and the difference is just amazing."

This seemed to inspire Ripa to pluck up the courage to comment, "Well, Carmen, she must seem like a grown-up compared to the boys," before going on to remark that even though she doesn't like to stereotype different genders, she's noticed in her own life as a mother to one daughter and two boys, that girls tend to develop quicker than boys.

Baldwin seemed to be in agreement with Ripa's assessment: "Carmen, she's like Oprah Winfrey. She's very conversant and very smart and very chatty and very sophisticated," he told Ripa and Seacrest, snapping his fingers to illustrate how quick she really is.

To wit Baldwin also commented just how easily two of his sons, Rafael, 2, and Leonardo, 1, manage to whip each other up into a frenzy with their antics. Meanwhile, Carmen is "chatting and hosting a talk show," the proud dad quips.

Of course, Baldwin loves all his kids equally, we're sure. And we're also sure that as the boys get older, they, too, will get the gift of being likened to a badass celebrity. But for now, we're just going to enjoy the utter charm and cuteness that is Baldwin admiring and appreciating just how whip-smart Carmen is at just 4 years old.

Kitchen Decor Trends That Aren't Going Away Anytime Soon

$

0

It’s not every day that you get to create the kitchen of your dreams, but choosing how that kitchen should look can be tricky. Trends change, and what’s new now might be an old fad by the time the paint dries.

The best design trends are both functional and pleasing to the eye. These six design trends are top of mind for designers and homeowners alike, but it’s not just because they look good. If you’re planning a kitchen renovation, consider these trends that go beyond just novelty and aesthetics.

1. Matte flat panels

Flat-panel cabinetry is a truly classic European style that’s been popular in the United States since the 1970s. Traditionally, flat panels have had glossy finishes — which is perfect for collecting fingerprints, stains, and kitchen bacteria. Today, they’re more popular in dark colors and matte finishes that add a modern flair. Matte finishes also don’t stain, display fingerprints or harbor bacteria.

2. Integrated lighting

Many cabinetmakers are also embracing the idea of lighting the inside of drawers and cabinet compartments. LED lights provide a higher-quality finish and are super-functional. They come in several colors and can be integrated into cabinets or drawers of any size. If you’re torn between a traditional and modern style, classic cabinet exteriors with strategic LED lighting inside can give your kitchen a timeless look with a 21st-century feel.

3. Induction cooktops

Induction cooktops are on the cutting edge of kitchen technology. Induction is the process of heating with magnetic energy rather than thermal energy. They only work with specific pots and pans, so touching the cooking surface alone while it’s on won’t burn you (or your kids). Their flat, unobtrusive metal surfaces make them the sleekest stovetops available, and the fact that they don’t produce heat makes them the safest.

More: 10 Tips for Setting an Instagram-Worthy Dining Room Table

4. Waterfall edges

Waterfall countertop edges have always been popular, and as long as open layouts with islands and peninsulas stay popular, so will these edges. Waterfall countertops produce a level of detail and quality of aesthetic that are difficult to accomplish in older, closed-space kitchens. Because waterfall edges are often made from granite or quartz, they’re more difficult to scratch or scuff, despite being out in the open.

5. Smart appliances

Smart, internet-connected devices such as refrigerators, ovens and coffee machines have taken over much of our lives, and the kitchen is no exception. If you’re especially busy, having the ability to seamlessly order produce, cook your meals and make the perfect cup of coffee all from your phone could be priceless. Smart appliances also come in so many designs and finishes that you can easily integrate them into virtually any aesthetic style you choose.

6. AI chefs

Smart appliances are bringing kitchens into the future, but the development of AI chefs is leading us closer to the Jetsons-esque homes we’ve been promised since the 1950s. Moley Robotics has developed programmable robotic arms that cook recipes exactly how expert chefs intended. The AI system uses motion-capture technology to mimic a recipe’s every measurement and movement. With an AI chef, your new kitchen could be serving up Michelin-star meals every day.

It’s an exciting time to remodel your kitchen. Design choices are seemingly endless, which means you won’t have to compromise for lack of options. To truly make it the kitchen of your dreams, though, choose the designs that fit your taste and lifestyle. Whether classic or modern, convenient or cutting edge, there’s a perfect fit for everyone.

Why Experts Swear by Olaplex for Protecting Color-Treated Hair

About four years ago, I decided that if Nicole Richie could rock lavender hair, so could I. After weighing the pros and cons for about five seconds, I promptly located a stylist (without much research) and took the plunge. Two appointments and a blowout later, I had the purple hair of my dreams, although it took a few weeks to reach a true lavender hue.

Unfortunately, my hair would never be the same after that. My curls didn’t curl the way they used to, and it seemed no matter how many deep-conditioning treatments I did, dryness would be the bane of my hair’s existence. You’d think I’d learned my lesson, but some years later, after doing a big chop, I suddenly forgot how hair dye destroyed my mane and decided to go full-on platinum blond.

Nikki Brown platinum chop

Except this time was different. At the end of my hair appointment, my curls were still there (I gave up heat tools after my big chop), and they felt soft — like baby’s bottom, I-just-slathered-myself-in-cocoa-butter soft. Convinced my stylist had cast some spell over my head, I asked him what made my hair not only survive but thrive after being doused in bleach. His answer? Olaplex.

Although there are plenty of cleansers, conditioners and treatments that sort of revive our hair after the initial damage has been done, few options are available for keeping the hair protected while it’s being altered. That’s the beauty of this product that doesn’t get nearly as much love as it deserves. And since we’re in a transitional period when you may be thinking of a hairdo to match the new season, there’s no better time than the present for a quick crash course on its benefits.

Ahead, Streeters hairstylist Tina Outen explains what Olaplex is, what it does and why it’s such strand-saver when you decide to dye your hair.

More: 12 Top-Notch Products for Maintaining Your Hair Color

What is it?

Outen describes Olaplex as a liquid that re-forms the disulphide bonds each hair strand is made up of. Whenever hair is bleached, these bonds are often damaged, fragmented and/or shattered. This happens more than ever in 2018 since hair color trends are more vibrant than ever. For instance, when going blond, most people opt for a stark white rather than the yellow tint that was popular back in the ’90s.

“Using Olaplex essentially means you can bleach your hair far too light and leave that bleach on far longer without it breaking off and leaving it in the sink instead of on your head,” says Outen.

How it’s used

It’s applied in three steps. First, Olaplex Bond Multiplier No. 1 is added into the bleach or hair color so it will be taken directly into the core of the hair strands to the disulphide bonds. Next, Olaplex Bond Perfector No. 2 will be applied to the hair strands when the bleach or hair color is washed off and left on for 20 minutes.

Olaplex application IG

“If your hair feels hardened by this step, have a super-moisturizing conditioner to soften the hair strands that sometimes feel crunchy from all the protein that’s been added to your hair,” says Outen.

Finally, Olaplex Hair Perfector No. 3 is the take-home part, which you apply to damp hair and comb through. Back in 2015, Kim Kardashian West even copped to using it as an overnight hair mask for the sake of having more lustrous strands.

More: The Boldest Hair Color Ideas Spotted on Instagram

Is it necessary?

Although Olaplex isn’t mandatory for all salons, using it is most beneficial when you are bleaching hair, as the process will directly affect those vulnerable hair bonds, pushing them to maximum fragility. It can be especially helpful for those who require several layers of color and bleach in one session.

“Super-light blonds with high-lift tints may affect hair condition and the disulphide bond when overlapping of the color product is allowed, so they can also benefit from the protection of Olaplex,” says Outen. “Coloring with hair color affects the natural color pigment first. It will take time of overprocessing or overlapping of the hair color before the disulphide bond is affected, but hair will still benefit.”

Although the first two steps of the three-part Olaplex system are only available in select salons, you can purchase the third step at Sephora for an affordable $28.

Tonsil Stone Removal Is the New Pimple Popping Videos

So, tonsil stone removal videos are super-trendy right now, did you know? While pimple-popping videos have been all the rage for a while now, it turns out that bursting skin craters isn't the only thing that's worth tons of views. Let's take a look at tonsil stones to see if we can figure out why anyone would enjoy watching someone dig a stone out of a tonsil.

Tonsil stone basics

Dr. Benjamin Tweel, otolaryngologist at Mount Sinai Hospital, was on hand for some basic information on these nubby little jewels that like to hide in the craters of our tonsils. Unfortunately, they're not really jewels (nor are they actually made of rock) and they're kind of gross when you get to the nitty-gritty of how they came to be in the first place.

"Tonsil stones, or tonsilliths, are collections of debris, mucus, skin and bacteria which form in deep pockets (or crypts) within the tonsil," he tells SheKnows. If that sounds disgusting, it's no wonder people want to get rid of them.

Tweel mentions that sometimes, tonsil stones cause no symptoms at all (and aren't noticed until they are, ahem, expelled), but he does note that some of us may be more prone to developing them than others. "They are associated with large tonsils and with chronic tonsillitis, but patients may have no other tonsil problems aside from the stones," he says.

However, some people can and do notice the presence of tonsil stones. Tweel describes it as a "foreign body sensation in the throat, often described as feeling like a piece of food became stuck." Sadly, when they do come out, he explains that they're usually white or light yellow — and foul smelling.

Tonsil stone removal

Understandably, when tonsil stones are noticed or felt, people want them gone. While Tweel says that tonsil stones are generally not harmful and rarely become large, they can lead to bad breath, that above-mentioned foreign body sensation or even chronic infections.

Happily, tonsil stone removal can be a total DIY experience right in the comfort of your own home, Tweel says, as long as you're very careful to avoid scratching or otherwise injuring your tonsil. He says some people find success by gargling salt water, but using a cotton swab or a water pick is generally more effective.

More: Is There A Link Between Flossing & Heart Disease?

This is where tonsil stone removal videos might come in handy. Lisa from North Carolina tells SheKnows that she is getting to be a pro at removing her own tonsil stones and has watched videos on the subject to get a better idea of how to do it. She also still enjoys watching them when she has no stone to remove.

"I find it very satisfying personally when I am able to finally remove it (or them)," she explains. "So when I watch those videos, I can feel the same way. Like successfully finishing a race." What's not to love?

Do you need to see a doctor?

Not everyone is comfortable removing their own tonsil stones, which is understandable. According to PubMed Health, tonsils are located pretty far back in your mouth, almost to your throat, and you can trigger a gag reflex if you're not careful, which isn't very much fun.

For those who aren't comfortable doing it themselves, Tweel says that particularly bothersome tonsil stones can often be removed by an ear, nose and throat physician right there in in the office. And sometimes, greater measures need to be taken. "For patients who are very symptomatic from their tonsil stones, tonsillectomy is sometimes performed as an elective surgery," he says.

So, whether you have personal experience removing tonsil stones or not, you might find tonsil stone removal videos deeply satisfying — or not! Until then, rest assured that most tonsil stones aren't harmful, and Tweel says that as you grow older, you'll be less likely to experience them, so you have that to look forward to as the years go by.

All the Top Meal Kits & What You Need to Know Before Choosing

I’m going to be honest: I love to cook, but dinner is a drag. I’m totally capable of scanning Pinterest for recipes. I know my way around the stove, but among figuring out what to eat, getting to the grocery store to pick out sauces I may never use again and having to put it all together, I lose my mojo. I’m guilty of throwing up my hands and heading to a restaurant in lieu of making my own meal.

Still, I was skeptical of meal kits: How much time could it really save? Isn’t it kind of expensive?

Well, call me converted. Beyond the fact that I no longer agonize over finding the best grain bowl recipe possible, the meal kits have also had another benefit: My husband cooks most nights now. Their no-brainer recipe directions have given him a new hobby and taken a load off my responsibility list.

Along the way, we've tried several different meal kits and found that each of them has pros and cons. If you’re just getting started, it can be hard to see which one is right for you, so I did the dirty work and broke it down.

Here are the top kits — all available nationwide — and the most important things to know before you choose one (or more!) to try.

Blue Apron

Price: $9 to $11 per plate depending on your plan

Benefits: If you’re a foodie, you’ll love Blue Apron's restaurant-quality meals that introduce you to new ingredients, flavors and cooking techniques. They're made with organic and sustainable ingredients. You can order two or three recipes a week for two people or three or four recipes per week for four people. There’s also an option to have wine delivered with your kit.

Drawbacks: Like most plans, smaller plans require you to pay shipping. There are also few options if you have diet restrictions.

Benefits: Families will likely love Home Chef. With a few options to choose from each week, many of them kid-approved, and the option to order between two and three meals a week for two or four people, you’ve got a variety of reliable, usually quick, meals to cook.

Drawbacks: Although they occasionally have some adventurous dishes, the food tends to keep ingredients and flavors pretty simple.

Sun Basket

Price: $11 or $12 per plate depending on your plan

Best for: Organic eaters who need diet-specific meals

Benefits: If you’re concerned about having all-organic produce, sustainable seafood or antibiotic- and hormone-free meat and pasteurized organic eggs, Sun Basket has you covered. Their recipes focus on clean meats and vegetables, and you can choose from paleo, lean (550 calories per serving), gluten-free, Mediterranean, pescatarian, vegetarian or vegan meal plans.

Drawbacks: It’s one of the more expensive options, and only the family sizes (four people) allow you to choose between two, three or four meals per week.

Plated

Price: $10 to 12 per plate depending on your plan

Drawbacks: Like most plans, if you do fewer meals/servings per week, you may be charged for shipping (weekly cost of $60 or less).

Purple Carrot

Price: $12 per plate

Best for: Plant-based foodies

Benefits: Whether you’re full vegan, dabbling vegetarian or someone who would like to have more plant-based meals in their life, Purple Carrot offers plentiful variety and goes way beyond pasta, for Instagram-worthy meals that will light up your taste buds.

Drawbacks: Currently, the only options are for two portions three times a week.

Green Chef

Price: $11 to $15 per plate depending on plan

Best for: Diet-conscious eaters

Benefits: If you’re on a gluten-free, paleo, keto or vegan diet, Green Chef is the place to be and has meal plans for each of these categories. Diet-specific plans are for two-person plans, but the subscription does have general family plan (four-person) meals. All of their ingredients are responsibly sourced and organic where possible.

Drawbacks: There's not a ton of variety in options, and it's one of the most expensive plans.

Chef’d

Price: $12 and up per plate

Best for: Commitment-phobes

Benefits: If you don’t want to commit to a subscription plan, you don’t have to. Chef'd lets you choose from kits that feed two or four people, including plans that follow popular diets, like Atkins and Weight Watchers.

Drawbacks: It’s definitely more expensive. There’s also the fact that there is nothing automatic about the process — you’ll have to scroll through the recipes to find what you want every time, though Chef’d will send you recommendations based on your preferences.

Most kits offer some kind of discount as an introductory offer, so trying them out is even cheaper. If you're ready to make recipe stress a thing of the past, give a meal kit a chance.

Grey's Anatomy's Ellen Pompeo Was the Victim of a Thief While on Vacay

Poor Ellen Pompeo can't seem to catch a break! Although it is undoubtedly exhausting to dodge so many near-death experiences and heartbreaking traumas in the halls of Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital, the Grey's Anatomy actress had to muster up enough energy while on vacation to chase down a thief. Yep, Meredith Grey is a bad*ss on TV and in real life.

Pompeo revealed the dramatic turn of events on Instagram Friday afternoon, explaining that she was the victim of a burglary while vacationing in Italy.

"My purse was stolen from right under my nose!! I blame the rose!! But Grazia to whoever stole it for dropping it on the street exactly in tact. I was tracking my phone and chasing you down...had I caught you... it would not have ended well for you... I am nice but lets not forget my heritage... NAPOLITANO...." Pompeo captioned a photo of the Italian police.

The actress continued in self-described "horrible Italian": "Also, I hope you were smiling because e Sarai catturato perche sei in macchina." Loosely translated, this means, "And thou shalt be captured because you are in the machine." Or, in other words, the thief likely got caught on camera. Don't mess with Meredith Grey, y'all.

Prior to the attempted robbery, Pompeo and her family seemed to be enjoyed some well-deserved R&R. One sweet vacation photo shows Pompeo's daughters with Chris Ivery, Stella Luna and Sienna May, staring out over a bridge at a beautiful sunset.

Given that Pompeo just wrapped Season 14 of Grey's Anatomy, the busy actress-slash-mama is due a relaxing stretch of time off to focus on her family. In fact, it's something she is apparently looking forward to doing much more of in the near future (much to the chagrin of Grey's fans). "I want to be more involved in my kids' lives as they get older," Pompeo told Us Weekly in an interview last week. "And they need me more, and this world is such a crazy place."

Accordingly, Pompeo explained, "there is an end and it's nearing." Of course, fans have at least one more season to look forward to — Grey's was renewed through Season 15 in April, making it the longest-running primetime drama in ABC's history.

But when the time comes for Grey's to end, Pompeo says she'll be happy to hang up her acting hat... possibly forever. We predict many more Italian vacations (sans purse thieves!) in Dr. Grey's future.

Chris Pratt Just Got Dissed By Son Jack in the Most Adorable Way

As impressive as Chris Pratt is as Velociraptor trainer Owen Grady in the new Jurassic World franchise, he has at least one fan who claims to have seen better: Pratt's 5-year-old son, Jack! In a hilarious Instagram post on Friday afternoon, the actor revealed that his ego got taken down a notch after his little boy experienced Universal Studios' Raptor Encounter.

"Gotta love it. Jack (seen here in blue Optimus Prime helmet) went to Universal Studios with his buddy the other day. He comes home and tells me he met the 'real' raptor trainer," Pratt wrote, clearly cracked up over the slight. "Big shout out to all the park performers out there keepin' it real on a daily basis. Our kids' smiles say it all. Keep up the good work."

Hey, we see where Jack's confusion set it. We've been to Raptor Encounter, and those trainers are rad.

Fortunately for Pratt, he'll have a few upcoming opportunities to brush up on his raptor training skills. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom — the sequel to 2015's highly successful Jurassic World — will hit theaters on June 22 and is already getting early buzz. Pratt shared a little behind-the-scenes video footage from the film late last week indicating his character will be spending some time underwater.

Did we mention that Universal Pictures already has Jurassic World 3 lined up for a June 2021 premiere? Pratt should have plenty of time to prove to Jack (Pratt's son with Anna Faris) that he has what it takes to tame raptors. If nothing else, perhaps Jack could help his ol' dad with a bit of direction. After all, judging by a recent video Pratt shared, the two have already collaborated creatively on raptor-related scenes.

Forget about carnivorous dinosaurs — Jack's laugh in that clip is so cute that it kills us. And something tells us that despite not living up to his reputation as master raptor trainer, Pratt is still his son's favorite action hero.

A Trichologist Breaks Down the Basics of Hair Thinning & How to Avoid It

Last month, Modern Family star Sarah Hyland opened up about a disheartening side effect of taking medication for her battle with kidney dysplasia: hair loss. Although this is a very singular, specific case, thinning hair isn’t something that’s exclusive to people grappling with chronic illnesses. We all deal with it to varying degrees, be it through genetics or the way we treat our hair on a day-to-day basis.

And because we wouldn’t want anyone to misdiagnose themselves, we reached out to Michelle Blaisure, certified trichologist for Bosley Professional Strength Hair Care, who gave us a crash course on everything from the main causes to simple, yet effective forms of prevention.

More: Sarah Hyland Opens up About Losing Her Hair, Asks Fans for Advice

The common cause & signs

According to Blaisure, the main and most common cause of hair thinning, also known as male or female pattern baldness, is genetic predisposition. In simpler terms, that means you can inherit genes from your mother and father that make it nearly impossible to avoid. “About 60 to 70 percent of men will thin by age 60 and 20 percent of women inherit [it] as well, but with women, we seem to be prone to hair loss due to many things that can affect our hormonal and biochemical balance,” she says.

Excess hair shedding is often one of the first signs that something is out of balance. And if you’re constantly over-manipulating your strands with tight ponytails or other protective styles (braids, weaves, buns), you’re making yourself more susceptible to hair thinning as well.

More: Why Hairstylists Swear by Olaplex for Dye Jobs

The types

Hair loss is a side effect of many disorders, especially for women. The most common ones, according to Blaisure, are:

Genetic thinning: This means you have inherited a sensitivity to the hormone dihydrotestosterone. DHT causes the hair to get smaller and thinner. Men usually thin or go completely bald in the crown and hairline areas, while women tend to just get really thin. In both cases, you’re likely to experience micro-inflammation (swelling, redness, irritation) in the hair follicles.

Thyroid malfunction: Hair loss can also be a sign that your thyroid, a large gland that lives in the neck and secretes the hormones that maintain our body’s metabolism, is producing a low level of those hormones. This in turn causes dry, brittle hair and excessive shedding. On the other hand, a hyperthyroid, or one that secretes an excess of metabolic hormones, can cause hair loss and an oily scalp.

Inadequate protein intake: Blaisure says this is common in vegans due to lack of vitamin B12, which comes from animal sources. “Plant proteins do not provide B12 and must be combined in order for the body to properly utilize all the amino acids it needs for optimal function, and eating too much protein and not enough carbs can cause hair to shed as well,” she says.

Autoimmune disorders: Inflammation is the common thread between a slew of disorders that can cause the hair to fall out. Blaisure says the most common ones are diabetes Type 2 (in which the body can no longer manage blood sugar levels), lupus (in which the body attacks its own tissue and organs) and polycystic syndrome (in which elevated male hormones are causing an imbalance).

You’ve also probably heard of alopecia areata, an autoimmune disorder that causes inflammation in the hair follicle as the body attacks the hair cells. Blaisure says this usually shows itself in the form of bald patches, and in some cases can become more acute, leading to alopecia totalis (loss of head and facial hair) and universalis, with total body hair loss.

Other hair- and scalp-specific causes of inflammation in the scalp and on the skin are seborrhea, psoriasis and folliculitis (inflammation of the hair follicle).

Adjusting your diet

While some disorders require more aggressive treatment, such as therapies or prescription medication, there are ways to lessen your chances of hair thinning through simple lifestyle changes, the most important being your diet.

“We are learning more and more about the importance of a healthy gut, as the gut is the seat of about 70 percent of our immunity, so eating a variety of nutrient-rich foods, such as probiotics, vegetables and healthy fats to help populate the gut with good microbes is really the key to optimal health, which includes your hair health,” says Blaisure.

Specifically, you should be reducing the sugar and processed foods in your diet. Blaisure always recommends the foolproof 20/80 rule, which means you should consume the healthy stuff 80 percent of the time so your body can handle the devitalized foods (processed and fast foods), the other 20 percent.

If you want a more specific starting point, try eating wild-caught salmon and/or grass-fed beef at least once or twice a week to get good omega-3 fatty acids in your diet. If you’re vegetarian, get the same level of nutrients through flaxseed or fish oil supplements.

Adjusting your lifestyle

Here’s yet another reminder that a good night’s sleep does wonders for the body overall, including healthy hair growth. Most of us need 7 to 8 hours to feel well rested.

Also, “Go for a walk, listen to music, read an engaging book or watch your favorite TV show uninterrupted for 30 minutes,” says Blaisure. “Stress is a known cause of hair loss with women.”

More: Debunking the Major Myths About Hair & Water

Adjusting your beauty routine

Your hair is less likely to break, shed and thin out if you’re simply gentler with it. Give it a rest from extensions, tight ponytails, braids and weaves periodically. If you’re doing this around the clock, the chances of permanent loss become greater.

And regardless of your hair texture, Blaisure says you should shampoo at least once or more a week, “as the scalp’s microbiome can get out of balance and that is when we start seeing more scalp disorders.” After consulting with an expert stylist or learning more about the traits of your specific hair type, look for products that contain strengthening ingredients for keeping your strands in check.

Also use a good multivitamin, like Bosley's Vitality Supplement with horsetail extract, to make sure you are getting the right balance of vitamins and minerals, such as your B12 and D (which many people are low in) along with zinc and magnesium.

Surgeries & therapies

Lastly, if your hair loss goes beyond the normal level of shedding and you can easily detect a thinner ponytail or exposed skin along the hairline and/or middle of the scalp, see a professional immediately. A trichologist, like Blaisure, studies the science and function of human hair, so he or she can examine it more closely and determine whether you should be officially diagnosed with a disorder or not. From there, they can also recommend whether hair transplant surgery is necessary.

“Hair transplant surgery is always an option for men, but most women do not have enough hair, or it is too weak and fine to transplant,” says Blaisure. “Bosley Inc. is now offering a package called Tri-Gen+ that consists of some of our products, PRP (platelet rich plasma) along with laser, which together helps to stimulate growth.”

Overall, a healthy lifestyle is the best way to avoid hair thinning and hair loss. But if you’re dealing with something that’s tied to an illness or your gene pool, it may be worth seeing an expert for help.

Should You Really Use Boric Acid to Treat a Vaginal Infection?

$

By now, you hopefully know that there’s a litany of things you should never put in your vagina (including a wasp’s nest and VapoRub). Boric acid also sounds like something you really should not put in your vagina, but as it turns out, it might actually be useful.

Boric acid has a lot of industrial uses. It’s used in making fiberglass, reducing surface oxidation in jewelry, to make LCD screens for TVs and in the creation of Silly Putty. However, when it’s diluted, boric acid is also sometimes used to treat bacterial vaginosis, which is a buildup of bacteria in the vagina caused by sexdouching and other things that can change the balance of bacteria. You might not have any symptoms of the condition or you might experience itchingodor or vaginal discharge. Boric acid is also sometimes used to treat yeast infections. But what do doctors say about using boric acid to treat vaginal infections?

More: What to Do if You Get Something Stuck Inside Your Vagina

Dr. Michael Unger, a board-certified specialist in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery and an expert in recurrent vaginal infections, prescribes 600 milligrams of boric acid to patients dealing with yeast infections and bacterial vaginosis. He cited 2013 research published in the journal Sexually Transmitted Infections, which looked at recurrent yeast infections and deduced that boric acid worked as well as Diflucan (fluconazole), the antifungal medication used to treat yeast infections. Another study done in 2014 and published in the Journal of the American Sexually Transmitted Diseases Association also showed that boric acid was more effective at treating trichomoniasis, a sexually transmitted infection caused by a parasite.

Lauren Steinberg, the founder of Queen V, a feminine wellness brand, struggled with chronic yeast infections regularly and felt like she’d tried every solution only to have them work for a brief period of time before the infection returned. Frustrated, she started doing her own research and learned about boric acid. She then invented The Eraser, a homeopathic treatment for yeast infections that contains boric acid.

“Many internal and external factors can throw off your vaginal pH, so it’s important to always read the labels of the products you are using and always ask your gynecologist before trying something new,” Steinberg said. “Look for key words like 'pH balanced' and 'all-natural' when buying a new product. If you’re like me and have found that other products on the market just don’t seem to treat your yeast infection symptoms properly, you should try boric acid after consulting your gynecologist.”

MoreAn Approved List of Things That Can Go Into Your Vagina

Women’s health expert and compounding pharmacist (that’s a pharmacist who creates personalized medications) Irene Stronczak-Hogan recommends boric acid vaginal caps for folks with both acute (short and intense) and chronic yeast infections and bacterial vaginosis. They’re not only safe, she said, but they’re available without a prescription.

In addition to the suppositories, Stronczak-Hogan also recommends using probiotics that are specifically formulated for vaginal health — those containing a lactobacillus strain at a dose of at least 15 billion. Lactobacillus bacteria are “friendly” — it lives in our digestive and urinary systems as well as in our genitals and doesn’t cause disease. You can also find it in yogurt and dietary supplements. However, people who are pregnant should not use boric acid, according to Stronczak-Hogan.

So, is boric acid the right choice for you and your vagina? Maybe — but as with any other type of medical treatment, definitely check with your doctor before beginning anything new.

Ryan Reynolds Trolls Blake Lively (Again) & Confirms She's Tough as Nails

Ryan Reynolds has trolled wife Blake Lively so much at this point, we’re starting to wonder if it was part of their wedding vows. So, while it wasn’t a shocker when the Deadpool 2 star once again took a playful jab at his wife via Twitter on Saturday afternoon, Reynolds did let one surprising morsel of information slip. Spoiler alert: It’s further proof that Lively is one tough lady.

More: 9 Times Ryan Reynolds Trolled Blake Lively

The latest in Reynolds' long history of antagonizing his lovely wife comes from her new film, A Simple Favor. In the Paul Feig-directed movie, Lively plays the mysterious Emily Nelson, who becomes fast friends with Anna Kendrick’s mommy blogger character. Accordingly, Lively has been teasing the film a ton in recent weeks (remember her notorious Instagram blackout?).

And, well, Reynolds clearly feels entitled to the inside scoop. “You can tell me. We’re married. You once drove me to the hospital when you were giving birth. So… what the fuck happened to Emily?” Reynolds wrote, retweeting Lively’s teaser trailer.

Ryan Reynolds Blake Lively Baby Drive 1

Wait, back it up. Lively did what? Can’t you imagine it now: Lively calmly driving to the hospital, breathing quietly through brutal contractions, while Reynolds panic-breathes into a paper bag in the passenger’s seat? It’s too good.

It’s unclear whether this occurred while Lively was giving birth to the couple’s 4-year-old daughter, James, or 1-year-old daughter, Inez. But, really, Lively’s obviously tough as nails either way.

Although this specific intel has never before been heard, Reynolds has more than once waxed poetic about his wife's superhuman strength.

"My wife is the real, I mean she is a mercenary," he told Conan O'Brien in 2015. "At one point in the middle of the delivery, the doctor's cell phone went off and she said, 'Oh, no. Go ahead, take a personal call. Feel free.' She was cracking jokes in the delivery room. She may have been on drugs, but I don't ask personal questions."

Considering Reynolds also divulged that he was a "terrible" coach during childbirth who "went for a couple of high fives" (unrequited, of course), we don't blame Lively for taking the wheel on the way to the hospital. Of course, it doesn't make us like Reynolds any less. The fact that he isn't afraid to defer to Lively makes us like him even more.

Once again — and probably forever — these two are consummate #couplegoals.

Bachelor Host Chris Harrison Admits Arie Luyendyk Jr. Is a 'Knucklehead'

Now that Becca Kufrin has all the power as the next Bachelorette, it takes a little bit of the sting out of her heartbreaking and extremely public breakup with Arie Luyendyk Jr. Still, even if fans have forgiven, they haven’t forgotten the way ABC’s then-Bachelor made such a spectacle of Kufrin’s emotions. Even Bachelor host Chris Harrison is going on record to admit that Luyendyk created a huge mess of things — and he doesn’t expect anyone to pretend otherwise.

More: Chris Harrison Gives a Big Tease About Becca's Bachelorette Suitors

“I’m not asking you to forget and just flush it all down, but maybe move on like Becca has,” Harrison said to The Hollywood Reporter during a new interview about Kufrin’s upcoming season. “Becca’s OK. So, I think it’s all OK for all of us to move on.”

Of course, that can be easier said than done, given how quickly Luyendyk picked up with Lauren Burnham, the recipient of his second proposal, and how active the couple has been on the media circuit. And Harrison isn’t above admitting that his former Bachelor pick didn’t exactly make it easy for Bachelor Nation fans to support him.

More: Chris Harrison Will Explain Everything That Happened Between Corinne & DeMario on BiP

“Even I say, he was a knucklehead. He made some really dumb decisions,” Harrison told THR, calling it like he (and basically everyone else who tuned in) sees it.

However, Harrison insists that Luyendyk would likely go back in time and do things differently if he could, saying, “He didn’t perform as perfectly as he probably would’ve liked. If he could go back, he’d probably fix some things. But he and Lauren are in love and at the end of the day, the most important thing is that he’s with the girl he should be with and Becca’s good.”

OK, OK... you’ve got a good point, Harrison.

After all, as painful as Kufrin’s breakup was, we’re sure she would much rather have found out Luyendyk had reservations before they got hitched than after they’d made it down the aisle. He definitely bungled the delivery of that revelation, but at least he was honest with Kufrin before it got even more complicated.

More: Arie Luyendyk Jr. Might Get Banned From Becca Kufrin's Home State (No, Really)

Besides, now Kufrin gets the chance to be in the driver’s seat and find her perfect fit. Since we already know she winds up engaged when all is said and done, ABC must have done a decent job of rounding out the dating pool. As Harrison tells it, the suitors are “a good diverse group from all walks of life.”

It goes without saying, though, that this is The Bachelorette. Kufrin no longer has to deal with Luyendyk, but that doesn’t mean she won’t have to weed out a few more knuckleheads in pursuit of the last man standing.

Now that Khloé Kardashian is a mom, she undoubtedly understands the urge to post a million precious pictures of your child to let the world see their cuteness. Admittedly, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star has been better at resisting that temptation than the rest of us, but it seems she just can’t help sneaking in the occasional snapshot of sweet baby True. On Saturday, she posted a full, unfiltered view of her daughter’s face — and, well, we certainly can’t blame Mama Koko for wanting to show off her baby.

It’s been roughly six weeks since Kardashian gave birth to True on April 12, and the new mom seems to be getting the hang of things. It probably helps that, in Kardashian’s words, True is “not fussy at all” and “incredibly sweet and patient.” But welcoming a tiny human into the family and figuring out how to care for him or her is always an adjustment — and Kardashian has been frank about the fact that not everything comes naturally.

But the reality star mama is quick to point out that she’s putting in the sweat equity to make it happen.

“Day three of my workouts. I woke up so, so sore this morning and it’s the best worst feeling ever,” she said on Snapchat. “It’s the best because you know there’s progress being made, but it’s the worst because you can’t really get out of bed — ugh — holding the baby, my arms and my back, I was like, ‘OK.’” Kardashian also underscored that getting back into her fitness routine was proving “much more difficult than I think you’d expect it to be.”

It looks like Kendra Wilkinson and Hank Baskett are making nice and moving on from the fallout of their recent divorce — which hit Wilkinson especially hard — for the sake of their kids and, as we like to think, for the sake of their well-being.

More: Kendra Wilkinson Gave Herself a Total Makeover

E! News reports that over Memorial Day weekend, the exes hung out with Wilkinson's family so that they could all support Wilkinson and Baskett's son, Hank Baskett IV, during his hockey game. This marks one of the first times that the public has seen Wilkinson and Baskett together in the same room since Wilkinson officially filed for divorce in April, which means that like us, you're probably pretty curious to know how things panned out.

From the looks of all the social media postings from Wilkinson, Baskett and Wilkinson's brother, Colin Wilkinson, this big family outing was a success. Colin posted a group shot to his Twitter that was pulled from Wilkinson's Instagram, showing Wilkinson sitting in the bleachers while Baskett stands behind her making a silly face. Everyone looks happy, very into the game and super chill. It's definitely a good indicator of where Wilkinson and Baskett are in their relationship with one another. It seems like they are putting the past behind them; why take such a silly photo together if there was still bad feelings?

Wilkinson and Baskett didn't take any other selfies together, unfortunately, but they did document their time as Hank IV's games like the proud parents that they were. Wilkinson kept track of the game on her Instagram story, posting shots of Hank IV sailing around the ice as she cheered him on. Interestingly, if you look at E! News' report, it seems like Wilkinson posted a photo of Baskett at the top of the stands, taking a photo of Hank IV and captioned "Proud papa." That photo has been deleted from her Instagram story but it's not clear why.

As mentioned earlier, as far as the public knows, this is one of the first times we've seen Wilkinson and Baskett together and hanging out. Over the last few months, Wilkinson has been documenting her foray back into the single life (complete with a total makeover) as well as enjoying her life as a mom and friend. Baskett, a less-frequent social media poster, has been keeping it low-key as far as we can tell, posting the occasional photo to his Instagram.

There's no knowing what the future holds for these exes, but for now, it's good to see that they're able to be in the same room when it counts: cheering their son on during his special day.
