Labiaplasty on the Rise in the US

$

0

Labiaplasty, or labia minora reduction, is the most common procedure for people who are concerned with the appearance of their vulva. The operation reduces the length of the inner folds of skin, the labia minora, and occasionally the outer folds of skin, the labia majora.

A recent international study by the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, which examined cosmetic procedures in over 106 countries, showed that labiaplasty is the world’s fastest-growing cosmetic surgery.

More: A love letter to my devoted, underappreciated labia

In 2016, the number of labiaplasties performed by cosmetic surgeons increased by 45 percent. The United States, Brazil and Russia rank as the top three countries performing labiaplasties over the course of the past year.

Dr. Lina Triana, a Colombia-based plastic surgeon, and board member of organization that published the study, believes that it is important to address the misconception that labiaplasty can be compared to a form of female genital mutilation, a recognized human rights issue that involves the ritual cutting or removal of some or all of the external female genitalia.

“Most female patients request labiaplasty to help minimize pain, while others request it to improve the aesthetic appearance of their genital area,” Triana said in a news release. “This procedure empowers women, and helps them achieve a better quality of life through increased comfort and sexual confidence.”

More: Women are getting surgery to hide their camel toes for good

In early July, concerns were raised regarding the number of adolescent girls opting to have surgery on their genitals due to body insecurities rooted in social media and pornography, which idealize unrealistic examples of what genitals should look like.

Dr. Naomi Crouch, a leading adolescent gynecologist who chairs the British Society for Paediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology, told the BBC that she believes labiaplasty should be given only to girls who have a medical abnormality, not girls who are in “pursuit of a ‘designer vagina.’”

While the cosmetic surgery industry has been criticized for normalizing the labiaplasties, some plastic surgeons have spoken out in defense of the surgery, saying it could improve a woman’s self-esteem and general well-being.

“In the right hands, the procedure is safe, effective and ranks high in patient satisfaction,” plastic surgeon Dr. Alexes Hazen, associate professor of plastic surgery at NYU Langone Medical Center told Modern Medicine Network.

Unsurprisingly, Serena Williams Is Pregnancy-Craving Goals

Damn. We'll admit it. We were kind of hoping pregnant Serena Williams would make some of us feel better about our prenatal obsessions with doughnuts, gummy bears and matzo ball soup. Uh, not so much. Asparagus, anyone?

Yep, this particular pregnant tennis goddess wants no part of your Ben & Jerry's, salt-and-vinegar chips or sheet cakes (anybody else craving one of those after seeing Tina Fey go to town this week?). But no. Williams wants veggies. On top of veggies. Covered in a sprinkle of veggies. With a garnish of veggies.

MoreParents-to-Be Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian Take Swaddling Lessons

Serena's rather adorable fiancé, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, shared a new Instagram video in which he bemusedly hunts for artichokes for his pregnant almost-bride. With a supermarket basket filled with greens (including a lot of asparagus), Ohanian seemed confused by the fact that Serena's cravings were keeping him in the produce aisle.

Alexis Ohanian

Alexis Ohanian

"All right, so it's a Friday night. I'm at Publix going shopping," he said in the video. "I was told there would be cravings; I was not told they would be these... Zucchini, asparagus and... What’s this one called again? Artichoke. Really?"

Fans jumped at the chance to share in the comments their own weirdest pregnancy cravings — and apparently Williams' fan base is pretty green-lovin' as well. "Cravings are so random! With my first I craved oranges. I ate a bag a week! With my second it was ice," said one commenter.

"Mine was vinegar with spinach," another added — a craving even we haven't heard before.

Someone else chimed in with, "I remember I craved papaya and had to eat one everyday."

MoreSerena Williams Seeks Pregnancy Advice From Twitter

Who are you healthy people? Quite a few of us erstwhile preggos — this writer included — had our faces half-buried in half-gallons of ice cream for much of those nine months, and you're over there sautéing collard greens. Will wonders never cease?

But hey, Williams is a four-time Olympic medal winner, so maybe it's natural that she would crave slightly healthier food than most mere pregnant mortals. "Athlete's craving > regular human craving," one fan quipped.

"That baby is going to be an Olympic gold medalist for SURE," said someone else. (Agreed on both fronts, random fans.)

Regardless of the root of Williams' oh-so healthy snacking desires, one thing is clear: It's Ohanian's job as nonpregnant partner to make those snacks happen. And it looks like he's getting an A+ so far.

Margot Robbie Is Completely Unrecognizable in Queen Elizabeth Costume

Robbie's high hairline has us wondering if she shaved part of her head for the role or if she just has some really high-quality wig work. She also has tons of makeup on to make her skin look blotchy and spotted, just like the real Queen Elizabeth, who insisted on using makeup filled with harsh chemicals and lead that permanently damaged her skin. Robbie is nothing if not devoted to this role.

And this isn't the first time Robbie has completely transformed herself to play a character. Though many think of her as she looked in her breakout role as Naomi Lapaglia in The Wolf of Wall Street, which was pretty much what she looks like in real life, her recent projects have required some major transformations. To play Tonya Harding in her biopic, I, Tonya, Robbie wore prosthetic facial features, a wig and body padding. If nothing else, it's proof that Robbie's talent is valued more than her looks, which is definitely a positive thing in Hollywood.

Another week, another way Britney Spears is proving she is a queen.

More: Britney Spears' First Trip to Israel Has Been a Bit of a Circus

As she winds toward the end of her Las Vegas residency in January, Spears gave her latest audience something major to talk about: She deviated from the usual set list and sang a surprise cover completely live.

In addition to all the classics, Spears busted out a surprise rendition of Bonnie Raitt's "Something to Talk About," and she sounded amazing. Luckily, someone in the crowd captured it on video so we can all hear that Spears definitely still has it.

Spears has gotten some flak over the last three years about whether she lip syncs or sings during her residency, and the answer is a little bit of both — she sings as much as she can, but during intense dance sequences, she has a track playing. This song was completely live, though, and she sounds just as great.

She also had a strong message for some of the haters she's faced throughout her career, especially the media that fixated on her as she struggled through tougher times.

"I've been doing a lot of thinking lately, right? This morning I woke up…looked at the news, lot of things going on in the world and stuff," she said. "One minute they tear you down, and that's really horrible, and the next minute you're on top of the world, but I've never really spoke about it. I'm a Southern girl, I'm from Louisiana. I'm from the South, and I like to keep it real, so I just want to make sure I keep giving you motherfuckers something to talk about."

And that's when the music started and she transitioned flawlessly into the song.

Chrissy Teigen Gets Real About Her Struggle With Alcohol

As if we needed another way to relate to Chrissy Teigen, she just opened up about how alcohol used to be a problem for her. The model and cookbook author recently spoke to Cosmopolitan about her drinking habits, saying, "I was, point blank, just drinking too much."

Teigen and her husband, singer John Legend, recently went on a wellness retreat in Bali, she told the magazine, where she cut out alcohol completely and said she didn't even miss it.

Award shows were particularly hard for Teigen, she admitted, because she'd have a glass of wine while getting her hair and makeup done, and then one before the show and several during the event itself.

MoreIn the Great Debate Over the Healthier Alcohol, Is Vodka Better Than Wine?

"And then I felt bad for making kind of an ass of myself to people that I really respected," she told the magazine. "And that feeling, there's just nothing like that. You feel horrible. It's not a good look for me, for John, for anybody."

She also made the very valid point that it's hard not to drink when the alcohol is so available to you — especially if you've been a spokesperson for Smirnoff and Captain Morgan, like Teigen was. "Everything is there, always. I don't know how to go to an award show and not drink," she said.

MoreMom, Are You an Alcoholic?

Teigen is also aware of a history of alcoholism in her family, and since she's currently taking various medications for postpartum depression and anxiety, she knows "alcohol is like the least thing that helps."

As to how she plans to cut down on her drinking, Teigen isn't opposed to going totally dry. "I used to think it was kind of nutty to have to go totally sober, but now I get it. I don't want to be that person… I have to fix myself."

She also gave an update on expanding her family, telling Cosmo: "We're going to try to have a child. This is for us to try to get in the zone of 'let's travel, let's be away together, let's see our closest friends,' and then we're going to have to do something super hard, which is the IVF process, all over again."

We wish Teigen all the best — and if anyone's taking a cue from her and looking for a nonalcoholic cocktail option, we have a few suggestions.

The Great American Eclipse came, it saw and it definitely conquered — social media, that is. Seemingly everyone under the sun shared status updates about the rare celestial occurrence, including a bevy of celebrities. And just like the rest of us, they were officially star-struck (do you see what I did there?).

It's only natural to geek out, after all. Not only was Monday's eclipse the first total solar eclipse in the U.S. since 1979, it's also the first total solar eclipse in U.S. history that crossed from coast to coast. We won't have another visible total solar eclipse in America until Apr. 8, 2024, and that one will only be visible in certain states from Texas to New England.

So, yeah, it merited all the praise hand emoji. Plus, the fringe benefit for us mere mortals was the fact that we got to see celebrities totally freak out right alongside the rest of us — some more unintentionally hilarious than others.

Dancing with the Stars Season 25 Has Scooped Up a Property Brother & a WWE Star

Judging by the casting rumors, Dancing with the Stars is about to two-step its way into the most interesting season yet. Not only have sources been buzzing about ABC courting controversial contestants Sean Spicer and DeMario Jackson, the latest reports also suggest the network has secured TV fan favorites Drew Scott and Nikki Bella for the eclectic cast.

More: Maksim Chmerkovskiy & Peta Murgatroyd Had the Most Magical Wedding in 2017

Word has it we'll find out for sure on Thursday, Aug. 24 when ABC officially announces the cast for Season 25 on Good Morning America. Until then, it's anyone's guess who'll actually make the cut. But, hey, here's hoping this most recent round of rumors turns out to be true — who wouldn't love to see Property Brothers' Drew Scott and Total Divas' Nikki Bella compete for the coveted mirrorball trophy?

An HGTV fan favorite, Drew appears alongside his twin brother Jonathan on their popular home renovation series. A dapper dresser and smoother talker, he serves as the foil to his flannel-wearing, hammer-wielding contractor bro (who, admittedly, would have been fun to watch on the dance floor, too).

Yep, if this all shakes out, it should be quite a spectacle to behold. Dancing with the Stars Season 25 premieres on Monday, Sept., 18 at 8 p.m., ET on ABC.

"Seeing these images reminds me of those amazing 9 months that you sacrificed your whole being to grow our little one," he continued. Bachelor in Paradise Fans Have Officially Turned on Dean

In the span of three episodes of Bachelor in Paradise, Dean has gone from lovable fan-favorite to maybe the most hated contestant on the show right now.

More: Bachelor in Paradise Introduces Strict New Drinking Rule

What started out as a hopeful new relationship and a catchy couple name (#KrisDeana), quickly turned into a disaster for Dean who is now caught in a messy love triangle with Kristina and Danielle L., aka. DLo. Not that I'm picking sides here, but can DLo please not be a thing? The name, not her. She seems great. The name on the other hand just makes it seem like she's trying to be J. Lo, and I can't handle it.

Now, back to Dean. He's made everyone on Twitter pretty angry at his indecisiveness.

But I have to ask the question: Why should Dean have to chose when he's only known these two women for about a week? I know everyone likes to believe in soul mates and love at first sight and all that beautiful bullshit, but Dean hasn't even had enough time with either of these women to make a decision about either of them. That's like asking the Bachelor to pick one girl after a week. Six weeks is quick enough for goodness sake! Give the man a little time to get to know these women.

More: Corinne Olympios Will Not Be Returning to This Season of BIP

I don't think Dean is a bad guy. He is just very, very confused about two bombshell women that he just met. And he's reverting to acting like a child because he has no idea how to handle a situation like this, which makes me think he probably needs to date more before getting married.

Now, that being said, I don't think it's fair of him to hurt Kristina. I think his big party foul in this whole mess is that it's coming across like he's using Kristina just to get a rose and, if that's the case, not cool. Also this moment... this moment was just embarrassing.

How to Cope When You Hate Being Pregnant

$

Here is a scenario, one you might even recognize: You are pregnant with a child you want and planned for. And you could not possibly be more miserable because you hate being pregnant. You can’t wait for it to be over, and it’s giving you serious pause about having another child in the future. But who can you say this to? How do you cope with hating pregnancy when it’s supposed to be such a beautiful experience and saying otherwise is taboo and deeply stigmatized?

More: These pregnancy emojis tell it like it really is, mesh panties and all

In addition to the physical changes to be endured, there are all sorts of reasons why pregnancy could be a terrible experience for someone. For Terri, it was the unsolicited advice she got, as well as the unrelenting spotlight.

“I hated being the center of attention,” she said. “I hated being told what to do. I didn’t like talking about being pregnant like other women did. Being pregnant wasn’t the focus of my life. Yes, I was happy to be pregnant and couldn’t wait to hold my child, but I didn’t like being defined as a the ‘pregnant woman.'”

There is serious pressure to “perform” pregnancy in a way that’s socially acceptable, and talking about how awful pregnancy can be is not part of what people expect or want to hear. A, who lives with depression and anxiety, told me she didn’t talk to anyone about her dislike of pregnancy since the only person she knew who had been pregnant loved it. She experienced depression in her first and third trimesters, but also kept quiet about it. “I felt like it wasn’t OK to talk about since I was supposed to be perma-grateful or whatever. I didn’t want to explain why I wasn’t having the fetishized pregnancy experience.”

M, who has two children, was hesitant to talk about her dislike of her pregnancy experience because of the amount of conversation around her about miscarriage and infertility. “It’s totally taboo to say you hate being pregnant because some people would give anything,” she said. ”But my experience is also real and painful, and it’s isolating to not be able to be open about it.”

More: What It’s Like to Have a Difficult Pregnancy

J is expecting her first child this fall and has been open with some people about how taxing, physically and intellectually, her pregnancy has been. It has proven difficult, though, when she tries to prevent it from being the subject of every conversation.

“People get frustrated when I say, ‘Actually I’m not really enjoying it, but I’d love to learn more about what’s new in your life.’ It’s like I’m stealing something from them, now they can’t enjoy the pregnancy by proxy.” Fortunately, being honest about her experience has also helped her find folks with similar feelings about their own pregnancies, as well as unexpected allies, including a friend who went through IVF.

“It can become extremely stressful during this time with trying to live up to all the expectations of being pregnant that you should be smiling from ear to ear,” said Lakiesha Russell, a licensed professional counselor and host of The Evolving Chair podcast. Russell emphasizes building a network of support, be it online or in person, of folks you can process with and who will listen.

Kimberly Hershenson, a clinical social worker in New York City specializing in parenting as well as motherhood issues, recommends setting boundaries with family and friends.

“You can let them know ahead of time not to make comments. Those that do not listen and comment anyway, you can let them know that the comment was hurtful and ask them to please refrain from commenting about your body any further. Set your own parameters for what you are comfortable with. It is your body and you have every right to express your comfort level with others.”

More: Yes, It's Possible to Have Prenatal Depression Too

In addition to getting real with those around you and finding support, there’s another serious and important way to navigate through pregnancy when it’s making you miserable: Feel your feelings, no matter what.

“Don’t feel badly about any of these things just because you ‘think’ you’re supposed to feel a ‘certain’ way,” says Dr. Angela Jones, Astroglide’s resident sexual health advisor. “An important part of pregnancy, especially with all the hormonal, bodily and emotional changes you will experience, is being free to feel however you feel and not have guilt about it.”

Here Are the Game of Thrones Spinoffs We'd Like to See

$

0

Once the Game of Thrones series ends with Season 8 in 2019, you can bet that isn't the last time we'll see Westeros.

More: Game of Thrones' Daenerys & Jon Snow Totally Got Their Eye-Flirt On

In fact, HBO has already confirmed that it is developing four different spinoff ideas. With a world as rich with characters and story as A Song of Ice and Fire, it's no surprise. There are so many legends to explore, adventures to go on and magic to discover. Though it will be terribly devastating to not have new episodes of Game of Thrones to look forward to, there is a good chance that a new show in the Westeros universe will come along shortly to fill the void. At least, I hope so. I mean, if HBO doesn't want a mob of angry GoT fans on its hands, the network would be wise to bring at least one of these spinoffs to life. And soon.

WARNING: Spoilers below. Do not continue reading unless you are caught up on the most recent episode of Game of Thrones: Season 7, Episode 5, "Eastwatch."

Robert's Rebellion
Image: HBO

1. Robert's Rebellion

Robert's Rebellion refers to the events just years before Game of Thrones began. At this point in the show, we pretty much know the details of what went down during Robert's Rebellion — "pretty much" being the key words here. Prior to Robert's Rebellion, the Targaryens were on the throne and ruled Westeros, but when Rhaegar Targaryen stole away Lyanna Stark, Robert's betrothed, he reached his breaking point and challenged the crown. As we know from Game of Thrones, Robert won and took the iron throne. Thanks to Bran's vision in Season 6, we know Jon Snow is the son of Rhaegar and Lyanna. And thanks to last week's episode, we know that Rhaegar and Lyanna were married, meaning they must have actually cared about one another. The story is probably much more complex than we know so, obviously, I'd love to see it played out on screen.

The Night King in GoT
Image: HBO

2. The Rise of the Night King

If HBO chose to tackle this storyline, it would bring in a lot more fantasy to the franchise than we already see. We're slowly but surely learning details about the White Walkers, such as the fact that they were created by the Children of the Forest to fight humans — a decision that ended poorly. We also know they have tried to invade Westeros before, but thanks to the hero Azor Ahai, the White Walkers were pushed from the region beyond the Wall. A series that showed us this legendary moment in Westeros' history would be well worth the wait to see, especially depending on how Showdown 2 pans out in Game of Thrones.

Tales of Dunk and Egg
Image: HBO

3. Tales of Dunk and Egg

This series seems like a no-brainer for HBO to consider since George R.R. Martin has already written three tales in this spinoff. In fact, Martin has confirmed that HBO has approached him about developing the story. The series is set 90 years before the War of the Five Kings and follows the adventures of Ser Duncan the Tall and his squire Egg, aka Prince Aegon "Egg" Targaryen, aka the younger brother of Maester Aemon, aka King Aegon V.

More: The Game of Thrones Comparisons to Donald Trump Are Apt & Terrifying

Dance of Dragons
Image: HBO

4. Dance With Dragons

Not only is Dance With Dragons the name of the fifth book in the Song of Ice and Fire series, it also refers to a Westerosi civil war that happened about 200 years before Game of Thrones. Basically, some infighting over the rights to the throne happened early on in the Targaryen dynasty between King Viserys I's second wife, Alicent, and his daughter, Princess Rhaenyra, which led to an upset within the Seven Kingdoms. Luckily, if you are interested in all the glorious details, Martin has already published a novella going into the specifics of the war called The Princess and the Queen. He also writes about the moments leading up to the war in another novella, The Rogue Prince.

Aegon's conquest
Image: HBO

5. Aegon's Conquest

What are two of the most defining characteristics in Game of Thrones? War and dragons. A series about Aegon's conquest would deliver both in spades. Aegon I was the first king of Westeros after he united the seven kingdoms under one ruler for the first time. Prior to this, the Targaryens were the lords of Valyria. The ins and outs of his conquest and the events leading up to his takeover would make for a series that would be just as intriguing as our current match for the throne.

More: The Internet Is on Fire After Last Night's Game of Thrones Episode

If I had any say in the making of this show, my vote would be on the Robert's Rebellion storyline, especially with everything we just discovered about Jon Snow's lineage. That legend is filled with secrets I would love to explore. Plus, the Targaryens are known for being easy on the eyes, so I wouldn't mind watching Rhaegar come to life.

In a press release, Starbucks described the sushi burrito as, "A classic California chicken burrito with a twist — the chicken maki roll is rolled in sushi rice and wrapped with nori. The roll is filled with slow cooked, shredded chicken, fire roasted tomatillo salsa, lime crema, fresh cucumber and pickled cabbage with onions, avocado and crispy onion."

Paint 2 coats of glow-in-the-dark polish on the eyes, waiting for the first coat to dry before applying the second.

Using the black polish, paint the pupils on each of the eyes. Some you can make look scary by painting them at the top of the eye, others you can turn into cat eyes by painting a slit down the center, or you can make them look like they're spooked by something off to the side by painting the pupils on the left side of the eyes.

After they dry completely, finish with a top coat. Now the fun begins: testing out how they look in the dark! Expose them to a bright light for a minute and then turn out the lights and see the eyes glow!

Game of Thrones Debate: Does Arya or Sansa Hold the Upper Hand Right Now?

$

If ever there were a time for the Starks to stand as a united front on Game of Thrones, it would be now, with the entirety of Westeros on the brink of two major, life-changing wars. However, in Season 7, Episode 6, audiences saw that the growing opposition between the Stark sisters is more alarming than reasonable. Arya and Sansa Stark need to stop engaging in a cold war against one another and start working together, even if they are justified in their respective suspicions of each other.

More: What to Watch Now That Game of Thrones Is Almost Over

During the episode "Beyond the Wall," Arya confronted Sansa over the note she found in Littlefinger's room, the one that Sansa had been forced to write by Cersei Lannister years ago. In this moment, it became clear the two young women were bordering on becoming enemies rather than allies. Arya believed that Sansa actually wrote the letter accusing her father of treason back in Season 2. As such, Arya began to gently threaten Sansa, hinting at the assassination techniques she had learned abroad. While Sansa tried to convince Arya she was put under duress and she's in fact not working against the Stark family for her personal gain, she also began flexing her muscles, attempting to suss out just how much of a threat Arya is to her well-being.

It's difficult to say who is right because both women carry a lot of baggage and are both so much stronger after all they've been through on their own. However, they're both clearly not handling their reunion properly, and if they don't wise up to Littlefinger's machinations to tear them apart, they could end up doing irreparable harm to one another.

Arya

The pros: Arya is right to be suspicious of Sansa, whether or not they're sisters. Finding that note definitely doesn't look good for Sansa and supports Arya's own dislike of her sister, which has been in place since they were children.

To the newly returned Arya, Sansa could be even more cunning than she lets on; she could be feigning innocence. Her suspicions are bolstered by the fact that Sansa was so closely aligned with the Lannisters for so long (through both her involvement with Joffrey and her short-lived marriage to Tyrion).

Oh, and having Littlefinger as Sansa's closest adviser doesn't really allay Arya's suspicions, especially not since she saw Littlefinger doing some secret double-dealing, which could be perceived as something Sansa allowed.

The cons: Arya is right to have her guard up, but she is also being a massive jerk to Sansa. Rather than having a calm, logical, reasonable conversation with her, she's going around and brandishing her knife, threatening to cut off her sister's face. Arya, please chill out. Jumping to conclusions rarely works out for anyone.

Also, Arya is in dire need of allies right now, and even though she likes to think that she is some capable, face-stealing assassin, it doesn't hurt to have a little help and protection, like the kind that her sister could offer. Right now, she's in danger of blowing it because she doesn't want to consider that what her sister is saying is true.

Sansa

Game of Thrones S7E6 Sansa
Image: Helen Sloan/Courtesy of HBO

The pros: Sansa has been through a heck of a lot during her time on GoT. She has endured emotional and mental manipulation at the hands of the Lannisters. She watched her father get beheaded while the public of King's Landing cheered on. She was coerced into marrying Tyrion Lannister who, sweet as he is, was not a good match for her. She is also a rape survivor and chooses to weaponize her anger toward those who have wronged her for political gain.

Hearing her warn Arya that Arya has no idea what she's been through in the last six years stings because she's been through quite a lot, and Arya needs to know that. Sansa is trying to be as effective a ruler as she can be and use her pain for something positive; Arya needs to understand that. Also, if anything, Sansa has gone out of her way to make sure Arya has settled in nicely now that she's home at Winterfell. It's a big blow to Sansa that Arya is seemingly spitting on that by threatening to hurt her and accusing her of something she didn't do.

The cons: First off, Sansa should know better than to seek counsel from Littlefinger; it just looks super-shady. We should allow for the possibility Sansa's got a bigger plan in motion that requires keeping him, an enemy, close to her, but she should really be considering the optics of this move.

Secondly, it's probably not the smartest move to go rummaging around in your long-lost sister's belongings when you know full well she is capable of murder, Sansa dear. For a rational woman, she's going about procuring information about her sister's intentions very irrationally.

It's clear right now that it's going to be tough to side with one Stark sister over another. These young women have their strengths working for them and their weaknesses working against them. These two need to get their issues sorted out ASAP and unite against the real wolf in their henhouse, Littlefinger, before it's too late.

The camouflage also shows a bit of Starbucks' theme in the pattern by featuring abstract coffee bean shapes in traditional greens and browns.

"With the cup sleeve, it was a two-fold message. We really wanted to let people know that we met our goal to create 10,000 jobs for veterans and military spouses by 2018, and that we've renewed that commitment by adding 15,000 more by 2025," Carole Guizzetti, creative manager of Starbucks' brand and advertising team, said in a press release. "But the second fold is why do we do that, and the short answer is because they make us better."

We thought kittens acting out the solar eclipse was our favorite video this week, but Pink had to go and post an even more adorable one of her daughter, Willow, wiggling her loose tooth (teeth, actually).

Willow and Pink

Willow and Pink

The Instagram video — captioned "Tooth chronicles" — features Pink's whole family on their tour bus in the U.K. (oh, to be a kid losing your bottom teeth on your mom's badass tour bus cruising through London).

Pink and her husband, Carey Hart, place bets with Willow about when the stubborn tooth might make its exit, and Hart teases Willow that it will come out in her sleep.

"Because of you!" Willow quips to her dad, who apparently is a little too eager to get at that pesky tooth with dental floss. Willow's brother, Jameson, is seated on Hart's lap in the video.

Pink also shared a photo of both kids playing on the big old bus bed. The caption: "Tour bus life." We are simultaneously enamored and holding our breath for the mom-shamers to inquire about seatbelts or whatever.

It's clear that the family who tours together and hopes for the tooth fairy together stays together. Or something like that. Good luck with the teeth, Willow — and with keeping dad's dental floss in check.

Tarek El Moussa Responds to the Official Divorce Filing News

Update August 22, 2017, 9 a.m. PT: Shortly after Christina El Moussa officially filed for divorce from her husband, Tarek El Moussa, Entertainment Tonight caught up with the HGTV star at his son's birthday party to ask him about his thoughts on the matter. Tarek began by commenting on Christina's noticeable absence from their son's party. "Unfortunately today, [Christina]'s not going to be here. We've been going through our situation and I felt like today — it might be better if we just stay separated."

He went on to comment further about where he is mentally and emotionally as the divorce proceedings officially get underway. "It's part of the process," he noted. "Eventually we're going to get divorced, continue to work together [on Flip or Flop], co-parent, live great lives."

His final comments on that matter were perhaps the most heartbreaking. "The hardest part, it's tough to answer. Obviously when you separate your entire life changes, so I think the hardest part is adjusting to a completely new life. It's a totally different life than I used to live."

Original story:

Six months after ex Tarek filed, Christina El Moussa has finally (and officially) submitted divorce documents. Although the former couple still co-hosts HGTV's hit series Flip or Flop, their personal lives have remained largely separate since their split last year. So, now that a bit of time has passed, how did Christina respond to Tarek's request for spousal support?

Well, let's just say she's playing this one tit for tat.

In court documents obtained by People, Christina cites a classic reason for the couple's demise: "irreconcilable differences." As for Tarek's request for spousal support, Christina asked that the court terminate his request — while she requested spousal support from him.

More: The El Moussas Are Sending Mixed Signals About the Future of Flip or Flop

The property flipper also asked that Tarek be held responsible for all legal costs incurred as part of the divorce proceedings.

She is furthermore seeking joint legal and physical custody of their 6-year-old daughter Taylor and nearly 2-year-old son Brayden. In an interview earlier in the year with People, Tarek revealed he and Christina are already sharing custody "pretty much 50-50."

More: Tarek El Moussa's Reportedly Dating a "Mystery Blonde," but We Know Who She Is

Although Tarek mostly keeps his dating life on the DL, Christina has since seemingly moved on. Most recently, she's been linked romantically to businessman Doug Spedding, whose own children are close in age to Christina and Tarek's.

And while the HGTV co-hosts' split hasn't been without drama, they're doing a pretty great job of keeping things copacetic for their kids.

More: Has Christina El Moussa Hooked Up With Tarek Since Their Split?

"We're getting through this by staying great friends and being the best parents possible. Divorced couples who fight their whole lives really mess up their kids," Tarek said. "We had a talk and said, 'We still want the kids to understand we're a unit — that we're still a family even if we're not together.'"

Will We Be Able to Time Travel Before Achieving Gender Equality at Work?

When it comes to explaining why women don’t get more promotions, credit or pay, there are a lot of reasons that factor into why. But a newly released study by The Rockefeller Foundation officially adds a new reason to that list: male attitudes.

Released earlier this week, the Foundation’s second annual “Women in Leadership: Tackling Corporate Culture From the Top” report shows women are not being given the same opportunities. Sixty-five percent of respondents believe that male attitudes in the workplace are why women don’t receive these opportunities, with 90 percent of women agreeing with that statement.

More: 7 Surprising Ways Emotional Intelligence Will Get You Ahead at Work

Laura Gordon, a managing director at The Rockefeller Foundation, runs an initiative that aims to put more women in leadership positions at Fortune 500 companies. She called the survey results sad and told The Huffington Post that it’s time to provide more opportunities for women at work. “[Men] will have to provide the opportunities for women to rise up through the pipeline.”

While American men and women believe that women are just as qualified as men to lead businesses, they also agreed that it’s easier for men to reach top leadership positions (44 percent of women strongly agreed with this statement.) The study found that there were several perceived barriers (in addition to male attitudes) as to why, including company culture, views about traditional gender roles and lack of advocates for women in the workplace.

Here are some other important statistics from the “Women in Leadership” 2017 survey:

  • Seventy-five percent of respondents said that the “persistent perception” that women prioritize family over career advancement holds women back from leadership positions. Women in their mid-careers feel this the most.
  • More than half of Americans (53 percent) think men and women are treated differently when it comes to salary. Eighty-one percent say that pay equity is important and believe that pay equity has a major role in increasing the number of women in leadership positions.
  • The number of female CEOs at Fortune 500 companies is at an all-time high of 6 percent.
  • Forty-two percent of Americans believe that women lack the confidence to pursue leadership.
  • One in 4 Americans believe it’s more likely for them to see time travel than half of Fortune 500 companies led by women within their lifetime.

More: How to Stand Out in a Group Interview (& Have Fun Doing It)

Time travel over gender parity? That’s the craziest thing we’ll read all week.

Dr. Kira Banks, associate professor at St. Louis University, says these statistics can be more than just a disheartening reminder. “You don't have to be a person of color or a woman or a person from another marginalized identity to be a champion for diversity,” Banks said to Fortune. “I think the burden is on the predominantly white men in these positions to be intentional in speaking out about the pipeline and mentoring issues.”

While some companies have already taken steps to sponsor women in the workplace, The Rockefeller Foundation’s survey found that changes to company culture can make a make a big difference when it comes to gender parity:

  • Two-thirds of respondents say that an investment in company-wide programs that train and prepare women for leadership positions are crucial to increasing the number of women in leadership.
  • Company-sponsored mentorship programs are also a key way to increase the visibility of women in the workplace.
  • The majority of respondents believe that company-wide initiatives to promote a healthy work-life balance can have a great deal of impact on increasing the number of women leaders.

Despite women serving as 47 percent of the workforce in the United States, gender inequality is present in all ranks of the business world. The Rockefeller Foundation’s work has been inspiring so far, but it’s clear that we still have a long way to go.
