We love a good ghost story, don't you? Well, okay, maybe you love a good ghost story until every single one of your kids is crammed into bed with you because they're afraid to sleep in their own rooms. Yes, Halloween is the perfect time to tell ghoulish tales — but those same tales that are meant for entertainment are also what nightmares are made of.

There are some fun stories, though, that successfully toe (that's a pun; you'll get it in a minute) the line between frighteningly fun and over-the-top terrifying. We dug up some kid-friendly scary stories, so your whole family can feel Halloween festive without too much drama.

1. The Hairy Toe

This spooky story is about an old woman who, for some reason, eats a hairy toe (there's the pun!) she finds in the woods behind her cottage. But what about the owner of the toe? An excerpt from the book Spooky Maryland by S.E. Schlosser, this tale has enough fantasy to it that it’s not terribly scary for the younger ones.

2. Dem Bones

Is your little one crazy for pirates? This is the tale of Captain Kidd and his band of pirates who bury treasure on the New Jersey shore and then come back to haunt the area on reality TV (just kidding about the last part). Retold by S.E. Schlosser as part of his Spooky New Jersey book, this tale will remind you of ghost stories from days gone by.

3. White Dog

Who doesn’t love a good dog story? Take one loyal dog, an adventurous boy, danger, and a ghost, and you’ve got a not-that-scary story for younger kids. This is just one story available on the TLC website that the whole family can enjoy.

4. The Canterville Ghost

What if your house was haunted, but you could turn the tables on your ghost? In an adaptation of the classic Oscar Wilde story, the tale of "The Canterville Ghost" shows how a whole family deals with a ghost in their new home — and eventually help him move on.

5. The Pleading Ghost

James M. Deem is an author of children’s books who has collected some of his favorite ghost stories and made them available in his "Haunted House" online. This story is from his book Ghost Hunters. Note: The pleading ghost in this story isn’t very scary, but it is a boy who died young, so make your own judgment call when reading to little ones.

Next Up: Looking for Dracula

6. "Looking for Dracula"

This classic song by Charlotte Diamond is a story told within a song — you may even remember the lyrics from childhood. You can watch the video and sing along, or add the song to your collection. Kids love following the lyrics and acting out the story. A winner for the elementary or preschool crowd.

7. Shadows in the Mirror

Got tweens who can handle a bit more of a scare? The tale of Shadows in the Mirror has all the elements of a good ghostly mystery for older kids who won’t be too easily frightened by the idea of a ghost in their home.

8. The Vinder Viper

What sounds like a scary tale of snakes is actually a comic tale — best delivered in a dramatic manner. This is an old summer-camp favorite of many, and great for any younger kids who may be too scared by a story without a "happy" ending.

9. Haunted

Haunted is a kid-friendly story about ghosts who love to party, written by Harris Tobias. Kids of all ages will follow this short story with rapt attention — and then be surprised by the delightful ending.

10. The Scarecrow

Do scarecrows keep evil spirits away, or can they be possessed by them? This first-person narrative has many elements of a perfect scary story and is great for the elementary school crowd.

Next Up: Tell Me Another Scary Story... But Not TOO Scary!

{pageBreak}

11. Tell Me Another Scary Story... But Not TOO Scary!

What if kids could decide when a story gets too scary for them? In Tell Me Another Scary Story… But Not TOO Scary! by Carl Reiner, kids can decide whether to move forward as the story gets scarier — or end it there. This sequel to Tell Me a Scary Story… But Not TOO Scary! comes with a CD to listen along as the author himself reads the story. Perfect for ages 9 and up; even adults will love the creative illustrations and Reiner's wit.

12. Frankenstein Makes a Sandwich

This fun book by Adam Rex is a fun collection of silly, scary poems perfect for the 6- to 9-year-old crowd. The illustrations in Frankenstein Makes a Sandwich are just as entertaining as the poems are. Favorite characters like Frankenstein, The Creature from the Black Lagoon, The Phantom of the Opera, and Dracula all appear in this fun children’s book.

13. Happy Halloween! (Spooky Ghost Stories for Children)

Looking for spooky stories that are OK for the under-10-year-old crowd? Happy Halloween! (Spooky Ghost Stories for Children) by Uncle Amon is just right for a little fright that won’t keep them up all night. Grab the Kindle edition for only 99 cents, and you can start enjoying those hair-raising tales tonight. With stories like "The Haunting" and "The Shadowy Figure," your kids are bound to find a favorite.

14. The Scare: A Halloween Story

Perfect for kids ages 3 to 10, The Scare: A Halloween Story is a creative, fun way to share “spooks” with your kids. The illustrations are fun and this tale of two best friends — a pig named Simon and a mouse named Jim — will be a favorite in your house. This book has a creative story line and is a fun way for kids to enjoy a scary-ish story.

15. The Green Ribbon

There are various versions of this story floating around in which the color of the ribbon changes, but the chilling ending is the same in each of them. The story revolves around a girl who always wears a ribbon around her neck. When her husband finally removes it, he discovers the horrifying reason why. This one's a little on the scarier side.

When Robin Thicke started dating April Love Geary in the wake of his separation from his ex-wife Paula Patton, people were skeptical, to say the least. Geary is nearly 20 years Thicke's junior, and kinda looks a bit like Patton — so the relationship all but had "rebound" rewritten all over it. But fast-forward almost three years, and Thicke and Geary are happy, in love — and expecting their first child.

Yup, Geary announced this week on Instagram that she and Thicke are pregnant. And get this: Geary's due date is March 1, which also happens to be the birthday of Thicke's late father, Alan Thicke. Pretty amazing.

Why the Tooth Fairy Only Gave My Kid a Quarter

$

My 6-year-old son lost his first baby tooth last month.

My husband and I had never really talked to him about the tooth fairy — he’s our oldest, so it was the first lost tooth for us too. But later that night, he asked if she was real and if she would be making an appearance while he was sleeping. Just like when he asked about Santa Claus, we put the ball in his court.

More: Have Parents Lost Their Minds When It Comes to the Tooth Fairy?

“Well, do you think the tooth fairy is real, buddy?”

He considered it. “I guess... maybe she could be.”

“OK. Do you think she’ll come tonight to collect your tooth and leave you something?”

“Yeah, I think so,” he said. “If I put it under my pillow.”

We left it at that — if he wanted to believe in the tooth fairy, he could. We found a small container for him to put his tooth in and he tucked it inside his pillowcase like we suggested (so it could be easily found by — ahem — whomever was collecting it).

Later that night, I snuck into his room and replaced the tooth with a quarter. It felt sweetly nostalgic. I remembered the thrill of waking up in the morning to find that cool, shiny metal coin under my pillow instead of a strange-looking little tooth. I remembered hoarding the coin away in my piggy bank, shaking up the change inside and trying to guess how much money had accumulated. I remembered wiggling my other semi-loose teeth around, thinking of the candy bar or pack of gum I could buy once a few more teeth fell out.

One quarter for one tooth. I never even considered another amount. And when my son woke up the next day, he was undeniably pleased.

“Mommy! Look what the tooth fairy brought me!” he shouted, smiling broadly and flashing the new gap between his teeth. He kept the quarter with him during breakfast, then put it away in his savings box.

"That was easy," I thought. No drama. No fuss. I didn’t have to worry about scrambling every time he lost a tooth, because I always had quarters around. This phase of life wouldn’t make much of a dent in my sanity or my wallet.

It wasn’t until days later that the doubt crept in. A family member gave him a dollar for the lost tooth, and my son looked at it strangely, like he had no idea his tooth could be worth a dollar. My mother teased me kindly. “You’re just like your grandmother,” she said. “A quarter was her going rate too.”

Suddenly, it seemed like stories about what and how much the tooth fairy should hand out for lost teeth were everywhere. Facebook friends debated whether the monetary amount — whatever it was — should be accompanied by a small token or gift. A radio disc jockey joked about frantically searching for a $10 bill at 4 a.m. on his way to work, coming up short with only $3 in singles and bracing for his son’s disappointment. A friend of the family who worked as a teacher said some of her students reported receiving $20 every time one of their baby teeth fell out.

I thought, "$20?! Are you kidding?"

More: How to Talk to Your Kids About Money

I don’t want to turn this into a debate about how much money is appropriate for a make-believe fairy to give a kid for his or her baby teeth. Obviously, there are no set rules when the person giving out the money doesn’t even exist. Generally, I try to remember that all families are different; as long as someone’s parenting affects only them and their children, it really isn’t my place to interject my opinion.

But $20? Is that really the expectation in 2017? I must be especially old-fashioned, because that seems seriously overpriced. Most kids are going to lose 20 baby teeth during their childhood. That’s $400 total. There’s no way that my son’s mouthful of tiny yellow teeth is worth $400. He isn’t even doing anything to earn the money, like getting good grades or completing chores. The teeth will literally be falling out of his mouth with no effort on his part at all.

Plus, we have three kids. I’m not prepared, financially or otherwise, to spend $1,200 over the next several years for this mostly insignificant rite of childhood passage.

Maybe it’s me. Maybe I forgot to adjust for inflation. It has been about 25 years since I was first visited by the tooth fairy. But even $5 or $10 feels steep to me. It also feels weirdly impersonal, like the tooth fairy is just an invisible ATM machine, pulling paper bills out of a mechanical drawer in some kind of formal transaction. Where’s the magic in that?

Right: the magic. That’s exactly what I was trying to cling to when I gave my son a quarter for his tooth: a little magic. It was the magic that I had remembered from when I was a kid — the feeling of discovering those silver coins underneath my pillow at dawn and dropping them, one by one, into my piggy bank. The mystery of one thing magically transforming into another.

When my son decided that, yes, he did believe the tooth fairy was going to come while he was sleeping to take away his baby tooth and replace it with something else, I was excited to present him with a small token in exchange for his belief. It wasn’t about the money. It was about the magic of being a kid. Saying yes to things you don’t fully understand. Choosing to put a little faith in someone you’ve never met. Finding that a thorny little tooth can turn into something new and exciting overnight if you believe in it hard enough.

I don’t care how much people give their kids when their baby teeth fall out. Every family lives with their own budget, philosophies and expectations. But I won’t be going broke over my tooth fairy role-playing, especially when my son looked at that single quarter as if it were one of the best surprises in the world.

More: 25 Hilariously Honest Notes to the Tooth Fairy From Kids

I will admit, though, that the next time he loses a tooth, I might give him a little more than 25 cents. Maybe next time, I’ll give him one whole dollar. But only in quarters, because you can’t hear paper bills jingling inside a piggy bank, and where’s the magic in that?

How Important Is It for Teens to Have a Summer Job?

$

During the long days of summer, it’s common for teenagers to lounge around, sleeping until noon. But should they be more productive during their break from school? We spoke with parenting expert and adolescent psychologist Dr. Barbara Greenberg about teenagers and employment to find out. We also got input from JJ Ramberg, founder of Goodshop, host of MSNBC’s Your Business and the author of new book The Startup Club. Their message is clear: Having a job is a good thing!

More: 7 Things Teachers Want You to Know Before You Send Your Kids Back to School

"I am a big fan of teens having summer jobs," says Greenberg. "In my practice as a clinical psychologist specializing in parenting, teen and relationship issues, I have seen teens benefit from jobs in many ways."

Let’s count those ways! Sorry, teens, it’s time to turn in those job applications.

Learning responsibility

Through early employment, teenagers can figure out how to have a job in the world. Then there’s that old chestnut that parents have relied on since the beginning of time: learning responsibility. "Teens learn about responsibility and the importance of showing up on time and the expectations associated with being a valued worker," says Greenberg. There's no better way to learn about these things than actual real-world experience.

Ramberg agrees. "The earlier we can teach our kids about how to be responsible at work, the better."

Financial education

What better way to find out that parents aren’t ATM machines? Through working, teenagers learn to appreciate money. They can also learn how to budget their new income, enabling them to save for big purchases. "There is no better way to learn about money than by learning that you need to earn it!" enthuses Greenberg.

Ramberg agrees. "According to the T. Rowe Price Parents Kids and Money Survey, parents who talk with their kids once a week about money are more likely to have kids who say they are smart about money," she says. "So, if your child has a job, it's important to then take it the next step and talk about how they will spend or save their earnings."

More: What Your Teenage Daughter Wants You to Know — but Won't Tell You

Becoming a team player

Businesses that employ teens generally have a staff, and that staff needs to work together. "They learn about the importance of being a team player," says Greenberg. "This is a valuable skill throughout life." As adults, we generally need to know how to work well with others, and that’s something teenagers can start getting used to early.

Increased self-esteem

"I have seen self-confidence and self-esteem increase as a result of being a good worker and earning money," explains Greenberg. When teenagers are given responsibility, they gain confidence. And seeing that they have the ability to earn money is empowering. "Having a job can give our kids a sense of independence and confidence that can carry through other parts of their lives," adds Ramberg.

Time management

Employment doesn’t have to end in the fall. Teens can build skills all year-round provided they have time for other responsibilities like schoolwork. "Some kids may be so booked up with other activities that there is no room to work year-round,” says Ramberg. "Others may gain a lot from having a job that goes through the year." Help your child assess his or her schedule and see if adding employment hours will work for them. Mastering the art of time management will come in handy after graduation — and so will that extra cash!

A chance to shine

"A job is a chance to do well," notes Greenberg. "Teens need all kinds of arenas in which to be successful. This provides another one." Having a job allows adolescents to experience success and to understand how to create the life they’d like as adults. "It’s helpful for them to see at a young age how curiosity and hard work can help them achieve their goals," says Ramberg, "at work or otherwise."

The Middle Is Canceled, but We're Sure Eden Sher Is Destined for Greatness

$

0

Welp, it's official. The Middle will come to a close at the end of Season 9. And while there are a million things we'll miss about the ABC series, the thing we'll probably miss the most is Eden Sher. As middle daughter Sue Heck, Sher made us laugh and she made us cry by being so relatable. To be honest, we can't even really remember what life was like before our weekly Sue fix.

Even though we're going to miss the heck out of Sue (pun intended), it brings us a little bit of solace to know that we have not seen the last of Sher. No way. The last time we talked to her, Sher dropped so many truth bombs and nuggets of wisdom that we know that she's going to thrive and that we're bound to hear more from her in the future.

I mean, it's been a couple of years since we talked to her, but the fact that she was chatting with us on her way home from the set and started cussing when the chicken wings in her passenger seat slid off the seat will be permanently lodged in our brains (in the best way). It was just the first of many indications that she is, quite possibly, our spirit animal.

More: Why Atypical Is Not the Show We Were Hoping For

"I would say it's maybe my best quality, that I have emergency hot wings in my car," she said. "You just never know."

Eden Sher insta 1

Eden Sher insta 1

Here's what else she said that leads us to believe she is destined for greatness.

Sue Heck changed her

It was that first glimpse of Sher — funny, unpretentious, honest — that hinted a common thread may exist between her and the awkward, but relentlessly optimistic, character she's been playing on The Middle since 2009 (and for which she won a Critics' Choice Award in 2013).

Like Sue, Sher tends to operate at full throttle... even while idling.

"I used to be very hindered or inhibited or whatever and then I was like, 'Screw that! No, that is A-OK, and I am going to be me. You can do you," she told us. "I sort of allowed myself to feel happiness and be optimistic. People like to shut ya down, and people like to tell you you're being ridiculous."

Sher doesn't dwell on the negative, though.

Although she does find it discouraging that woman-on-woman bashing is so prevalent today, she thinks more in terms of change — "It doesn't make me mad, it makes me all the more motivated," she said. "I feel like, 'You know what? We're not done yet, and it's OK.'"

Women supporting each other — and men supporting women — is important to Sher, who has long been a self-proclaimed feminist. When we broach the subject, it's obvious she is ready to sink her teeth into the topic.

The women who inspire her are badass

Although she openly worries that many young women today seem to be reverting in terms of progress, Sher points to several women in Hollywood who continue to make strides.

"My kind of two idols in life, like I would just crumble if I met them, are Tina Fey and Amy Poehler," she said. "And I think Lena Dunham does a pretty good job of at least being super unapologetic. No matter how you feel about her show or whatever, she is fucking doing her so hard — not apologizing — and I love it."

Another woman Sher thinks is a total badass, but who gets too little credit, is singer Janelle Monáe.

"I think she flies under the radar because you can't pigeonhole her. You can't put her in any sort of box. She's sort of gender ambiguous but so beautiful, yet not over-feminine. She's just awesome," gushed Sher.

It's women like this, in many ways, who inform Sher's portrayal of Sue and make her so proud to bring this lovably human character to life. Sue, though painfully awkward at times, is unfailingly herself and that's a message Sher is proud to convey.

She finds her character totally relatable too

"People go ape-shit for Darrin and Sue!" she said, laughing, of her character's current relationship. "And I'm totally down for it. I love it. The creators of this show — which I like to think I've helped with — have done such a good job of creating this character that would otherwise be seen as dorky and not objectively cool in any sort of classic way. She's a dork, yeah, but boys don't hate her!"

And, most importantly, they like her just the way she is.

"There are a lot of 17-year-olds that are way over-sexualized in the media, but Sue's just not," Sher said. "At all. They found such a perfect way to have her be a real person."

True, Sue is refreshingly normal. But, sadly, she's not the kind of character that is mainstream, per se — but Sher thinks there's hope for the industry yet. "I feel excited, but yeah, it sucks to think, 'Oh, man, I'm totally in the minority.' I think it's changing, though. If you watch Parks and Rec or really anything with Amy Poehler and Tina Fey, they're killing it," she said.

"Even though they're not teen girls, they are hella real people and they are in charge and smart," she added, "and it's not predicated on their sexuality in any way, which is so cool."

She doesn't feel the need to conform to societal norms

Sher noted that — although confident in her looks — she "was not given these crazy, amazing, classically beautiful looks." So she developed a personality.

"In getting jobs, it wasn't possible for me to get the pretty girl roles," she said, "so it was such a blessing in disguise that I had to get a role where the appeal of it was something else... something based on my talent."

Unfortunately, Sher still feels the gravitational pull of unrealistic standards from time to time. "I feel like maybe there are so many pressures girls and women face, but the one lingering that just won't go away is you gotta be skinny. You're not pretty if you're not skinny," she said.

And while Sher — who does krav maga and spins regularly — takes pride in her physical strength, she can't help falling prey to old insecurities occasionally.

"I practice every day yet when I look in the mirror my first instinct — after years of being like, 'F*** that! You're beautiful!' — is always, 'Ugh! The extra flab on my arm or whatever.' And it gets me pissed off."

Eden Sher insta 2

Eden Sher insta 2

Still, she does a pretty bang-up job of keeping herself grounded. "I'm pretty quick to call bullshit on myself and be like, 'Hey, hey, hey, that is enough of that. You are healthy and awesome.' Even if I were [overweight], I'm a cool-ass chick, so whatever!"

More: Sophie Turner & Maisie Williams Are Non-Blood Sisters IRL

Her adolescence was painfully awkward

Of course, that confidence was a long time coming. Like Sue, Sher experienced some, um, growing pains.

"Oh, my God — are you kidding? I could probably name on one hand the moments during years 11 to 19 when I wasn't awkward or self-conscious," she said, laughing.

Like many young women, she unfairly compared herself to her television reciprocals... the girls who were supposed to reflect what she looked like and was going through, but fell woefully short.

Eden Sher insta 3

Eden Sher insta 3

"I definitely would watch The O.C. and have these horrible meltdowns over Marissa's legs in the Ugg boots and her jean skirt, and the way her legs didn't even touch and were so perfectly tan," she said, "and I was just this marbly, kinda round, like 3'11" troll-type thing."

She embraces life

She's come a long way since those torturous days.

These days, she's gutsy and funny and smart and pretty and — bonus? — actually giving girls a realistic reflection of themselves. It's because she manages to nail that beautiful dichotomy of strong yet vulnerable that mothers often approach her on the streets to say thank you.

Well, mothers... and gay men.

"One of my best friends who's gay said, 'You realize Sue is a gay icon, right?' And I was like, 'Whaaaat?! That is the highest honor!' So I'm looking at RuPaul and I'm like, 'Oh, my God, yes. Sue's a drag queen,'" she said of the epiphany.

"And that makes sense," she shared. "'Cause in my real life, I feel unbeatable. I feel super strong. And I'm also the most emotional train wreck of a person. So there's that."

Bachelor in Paradise is going to need to install a nursery next to the tiki bar really soon.

Fan favorites and brunette soul mates Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert just welcomed their first child — a girl — four weeks early on Aug. 17.

More: Carly Waddell & Evan Bass from Bachelor in Paradise Are Expecting Their First Child Together

Roper wrote on Instagram that the baby is in good health despite her surprise early entrance into the world. Maybe she was lured out by all the dancing at Carly Waddell and Evan Bass' recent wedding, where Jade was the floral-crowned matron of honor. (Carly the cruise ship singer and Evan the erectile dysfunction doc just revealed they're expecting their first child together too if you can even stand it. So sweet it hurts our teeth.) Or perhaps the early arrival was orchestrated by show host Chris Harrison, who we all know is really God and Ultimate Puppet Master of Love and Fertility.

Whatever the case, Baby Roper-Tolbert is doing just fine. She's probably already been offered a spot in Paradise in 2040 — and her mom's breast milk is likely served in a cocktail glass garnished with a paper umbrella.

The new parents have yet to release the little girl's name, but Roper did share a photo on Instagram of the trio, taken by Melissa Rieke.

Roper captioned the shot, "We did it! Our little sweetheart is here! She arrived on her own terms, quickly and four weeks early, but she is perfect in every way, healthy and doing well."

And — because she is Jade Roper, real-life Disney Princess and natural cosmetics mogul — the new mom also wrote, “Precious little girl, there are no words to describe the feeling of holding you in our arms for this first time and looking into your beautiful eyes. We love you so much. #bestdayever #ilovemyfamily.”

Could someone just... cuddle me? Right now? Maybe with some hashtags?

Roper and Tolbert talked to People about their pregnancy adventure via a bunch of homemade videos.

“I’m hoping for a boy,” Tolbert said originally. “Not that I don’t want a girl; I actually want one of each. It’s just, I’m going to make her keep trying until we have a boy, so I’d like to get it out of the way sooner.”

Jesus, Tanner. If you say, "...make her keep trying..." ever again, we're going to rescind everything nice we ever said about you.

At least Roper held her ground. "He thinks I’m going to have four children if the first three are girls, but I think he’s wrong on that."

Only Chris Harrison knows what will happen, and he's not talking. Yet.

Lake Bell (The Secret Life of Pets) would like to set the record straight. She did not name her son after Ozzy Osbourne. But she also might start telling people she did.

"We can go with that," she joked to Jimmy Kimmel on Wednesday when the TV host asked if her second child was named after the legendary British rock star.

Bell has finally shared her 3-month-old son's name: Ozzi (with an I), a nickname for Ozgood.

Bell and husband Scott Campbell also have a toddler, 2-year-old daughter, Nova, who Bell joked was "named after the Chevy... it's also celestial."

Bell hasn't been very forthcoming on Instagram about her family life, but she did post a photo that gave fans a glimpse: a shot featuring a baby doll, Boo Boo Kisses bandages and a condom — as well as a picture of her in director mode with a very pregnant belly.

“We were so excited to travel the world, you know, we’re like, ‘We’re gonna be modern. You don’t have to have two kids,'" she explained. "And then we had sexual intercourse."

How's big sister Nova handling the transition? Bell admitted that Nova is having some trouble welcoming the new addition and prefers spending time voice-texting into her fake plastic cellphone.

“She was like, ‘Hey Mark, comma, how are you today Mark?’” Bell recounted.

And why, exactly, is this toddler having conversations with an imaginary dude named Mark? Bell explained that "Mark" comes from how often she and Campbell dictate "question mark" into their phones when voice-texting.

“We always do the dictation,” she explained. ” ‘Honey, I’ll be there. Are you OK question mark?’“

Tina Fey's Weekend Update Return Is Everything You Hoped It Would Be

Tina Fey does it again! After a long time out of the Weekend Update spotlight, the actor returned to her old stomping grounds (now its own show) to extol the virtues of something she called "sheet-caking" and deliver some truly incisive jokes with Weekend Update host Colin Jost.

After a weekend filled with sadness and anger over the events in Charlottesville, Virginia, Fey was able to give us all a laugh on Thursday night on Weekend Update. Fey, who is a University of Virginia alumnus, kicked it off with a self-deprecating joke about her time at the school.

"It's a beautiful school, and I have nothing but fond memories of my time there," she said. "And I graduated a virgin, and I still liked it. That's how good the architecture is down there."

But not to be deterred from keeping up the lively yet politically charged tone of Weekend Update, Fey made some fairly sharp quips about the events in Charlottesville and took the time to introduce viewers to the fairly radical idea of "sheet-caking."

“Find a local business you support, maybe a Jewish-run bakery or an African-American-run bakery,” she explained. “Order a cake with the American flag on it and just eat it," she joked as she dove right into a cake sitting in front of her.

She also shared that it is a female-driven activity. “Sheet-caking is a grassroots movement,” Fey explained. “Most of the women I know have been doing it once a week since the election.”

With a mouth half-full of said cake, she commented on how to handle those white supremacist political protesters like the ones we saw at Charlottesville. “The next time you see a bunch of white boys in polo shirts screaming about taking our country back,” Fey said, “scream, ‘It’s not our country. We stole it from the Native Americans and when they have a peaceful protest at Standing Rock, we shoot at them with rubber bullets. We let you shameless turds march through the streets with semi-automatic weapons.’”

In her parting thoughts, she gave the most sage advice of all. "Treat these rallies like the opening of a thoughtful movie with two female leads — don't show up," Fey summed up. "Let these morons scream into the empty air."

You can go home again! That’s exactly what Kim Raver is doing on Season 14 of Grey’s Anatomyshe’s returning to the series as Dr. Teddy Altman for a guest arc. Deadline broke the news back in June, but she's now officially back on set.

Raver was a series regular on the Shonda Rhimes show from Seasons 6 to 8, but her character was fired from Seattle Grace by Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd) so she would be pushed to take her dream job at Medcom in Germany. Her character was briefly heard on the phone at the end of Season 13 after Owen’s sister was treated at her military hospital.

A Promising New Treatment for Peanut Allergies

BBC reports that one available oral treatment for peanut allergies seems to be effective for four years — an unprecedented advancement.

More: New Peanut Allergy Guidelines Are Pretty Much the Opposite of What We Knew to Be True

In an Australian study, children were administered a probiotic containing peanut protein daily for a course of 18 months. When tested a month later, a whopping 80 percent of these kids could handle peanuts without any symptoms. And when they were tested four years after the first administration of the probiotic? A full 70 percent were still able to consume peanuts without any ill effects.

As many parents are aware, peanut allergy is one of the most life-threatening food allergies on the planet.

More: "Please Don't Kill My Kid," Says One Food Allergy Mom

According to the researchers of this study, more than 250 million people worldwide are affected by various food allergies, and that number has — alarmingly — tripled over the past 20 years.

The lead researcher of the study, Professor Mimi Tang of Murdoch Childrens Research Institute in Melbourne, Australia, said, "The importance of this finding is that these children were able to eat peanuts like children who don't have peanut allergy and still maintain their tolerant state, protected against reactions to peanuts."

According to Tang, this is the very first time a peanut allergy treatment has appeared to be effective for such a long period of time.

The research findings were published in The Lancet Child & Adolescent Health. Tang said the study suggests "the exciting possibility that tolerance is a realistic target for treating food allergy."

More: Lake Bell Reveals Newborn Son's Name

"This is a major step forward in identifying an effective treatment to address the food allergy problem in Western societies," Tang added.

If you want to get your science on (and/or impress other carpool parents if that's your thing) the probiotic's name is Lactobacillus rhamnosus, and it's been used to treat other allergies as well.

There's no cure or permanent fix yet, and let's be clear: 70 to 80 percent definitely isn't the 100 percent many parents would like to see. Still, four years of scientifically proven protection is a major boon for those who live in fear of life-threatening reactions to the omnipresent legume.

Schumer's appearance not only intrigued the internet but sent us all into a downright tizzy.

Can Too Much Sugar During Pregnancy Give Your Child Allergies or Asthma?

A recent report claims that sugar intake during pregnancy is linked to children later having allergies and allergic asthma. Does that mean that sugar causes asthma and allergies in kids?

Researchers from the Queen Mary University of London looked at about 9,000 mothers and their children to better understand if there is a link between maternal sugar intake during pregnancy and allergies and asthma. (Previous research claimed there is an association between consumption of high-sugar drinks and asthma in kids.) Their study was recently published in the European Respiratory Journal.

They evaluated maternal intake of free sugars during their third trimesters and then conducted allergy and asthma tests on the children when they were 7 years old. Free sugars are monosaccharides and disaccharides that are added to foods by the consumer, food preparer or manufacturer, as well as those naturally present in foods such as fruit or honey.

More: Taking micronutrient supplements during pregnancy may lead to smarter kids

Though the overall link between free sugar intake and asthma was weak, the study found that there were strong links with allergy and allergic asthma — meaning the child was diagnosed with asthma and had positive skin allergy tests.

The researchers compared 20 percent of mothers who had the highest sugar intake with those who had the lowest sugar intake and found a 38 percent increased risk for allergy in the offspring (73 percent for allergy to two or more allergens) and 101 percent for allergic asthma. The team did not find a link between the mothers’ sugar intake and eczema or hay fever.

“Sugar intake in early childhood was not associated with increased risk of these outcomes,” noted Dr. Annabelle Bédard, one of the researchers.

Does sugar intake during pregnancy cause allergies & asthma in kids?

The team believes that the link could be due to the high fructose levels in the sugar, which could cause a postnatal allergic immune response and lead to allergic inflammation in the children's developing lungs.

Though Dr. Seif Shaheen, the lead researcher, said the study doesn’t point to high sugar intake as a cause of allergy and asthma, the team did note a link that should be further investigated. That needs to be done in a different sampling of mothers and children. This study was observational; a randomized controlled trial would be required to say sugar causes the allergies and asthma in kids.

What women need to know

So should you be super-careful about sugar intake during pregnancy? Yes, but not because it causes allergies and asthma — this isn’t confirmed yet. But there are plenty of other perks to watching your sugar consumption while expecting.

“Though we don’t know for sure what this study means to allergy and asthma risk, we do know that a high-sugar diet is linked to cardiometabolic risks,” said Sharon Palmer, a California-based registered dietitian nutritionist and author of Plant-Powered for Life. Eating too much sugar can mean that women aren’t eating other healthy foods; it also gives them excess energy, which can lead to detrimental weight gain.

Emerging evidence suggests that the gut microbiota influences the immune response and potential allergic responses. The gut microbiota need to feed on high-fiber plant foods, Palmer noted.

Dr. Sheena Cruickshank, a professor of biology medicine and health at the University of Manchester, agreed that research indicates the microbiome is altered in those with allergies — and that can be affected by their delivery, type of milk fed and diet as the child grows. “Future studies should look to take these variables into account so we can understand the full relationship between maternal diet during pregnancy and allergic disease in the offspring,” she said.

Palmer broke down what sugars women should pay attention to.

“We shouldn’t worry about naturally occurring sugars in the diet — we should be limiting added sugars to no more than 10 percent of calories — this is a recommendation for everyone, including pregnant women,” she said.

Palmer said she thinks it’s too early to know for sure that sugar is the culprit regarding allergies in the developing child.

More: Should pregnant women avoid heartburn medication?

“However, other dietary factors have been seen to carry over to the fetus, so it may be that we find that the impact of high-sugar diets may carry over too. We just don’t know enough about this right now,” she added.

Why Did Taylor Swift Delete Most of Her Social Media Posts?

On Friday, the internet was shocked to discover that Taylor Swift erased most of the posts on all of her social media accounts and her personal website without any discernible warning or the release of a personal statement. What on earth is happening, and is Swift OK?

More: The Internet Is Very Confused About Amy Schumer's Judge Judy Appearance

Pictures and posts on Swift's Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts mysteriously disappeared on Friday. While some have been reposted, her accounts are devoid of profile photos or even a current post to explain what's going on. This has left her fans both intrigued and worried; they took note immediately, as it was happening, and voiced a range of concerns, including the possibility that Swift's accounts had been hacked.

What could Swift possibly be doing? While a personal break from social media might be one good thought, it’s also possible that she’s prepping us all for a major return to the music scene. It's certainly not out of the ordinary for a singer to do something extreme in order to get the public's attention, so Swift might be taking a page out of that playbook in order to announce a new album or maybe even a world tour.

Taylor Swift Instagram blackout

Swift has been relatively quiet all summer. Her annual Fourth of July bash didn’t pan out for fans who were anticipating it on social media. She's also been very private about her boyfriend, Joe Alwyn. The duo have been pretty stealthy in avoiding the paparazzi. Swift additionally has kept a low profile because of her now-closed sexual assault case against former DJ David Mueller, for which she was awarded $1 and was cleared in his countersuit against her.

So, can we expect a new album soon? Is Swift reinventing herself the way Madonna has done throughout her career? Will she unexpectedly drop an album at midnight the way Beyoncé does so well? It's sending everyone into Sherlock Holmes mode as fans scramble to find answers.

There are a lot of questions to be answered, but Swift definitely wants us to look at the clues. She is starting fresh on every single account. She might be ready for a rebirth, after which all of the girl squad events will be a distant memory and any fight with Katy Perry will be nothing but ancient history.

Are you ready for a Taylor Swift renaissance? It looks like it's coming, but we don't know exactly when.

Easy Low-FODMAP Recipes That Will Help You Crack the Code

In a world filled with crazy crash diets (raise your hand if you've tried at least five fads!), the low-FODMAP elimination diet stands out as a plan that is actually legit. It's got some serious science behind it, and we all know real-life people plagued with intense digestive issues who have experience relief by going low-FODMAP.

But the problem with low-FODMAP is that nobody really talks about low-FODMAP. This isn't Fight Club, people! Low-FODMAP may be effective, but it's also pretty complicated. How the heck are we supposed to follow this super-important diet if we can't figure out what we're allowed to eat?

We've got some recipes for you that completely take out all of the guesswork.

What is the low-FODMAP diet?

First developed by researchers at Monash University to control symptoms of IBS, the FODMAP "diet" is not a diet but a lifestyle change that's necessary and beneficial for those who are in excruciating pain on a daily basis. I encourage you to read this article to learn more about FODMAPs to see if this way of life is right for you.

Once you're armed and ready to take on this challenging way of eating (it's not that easy of a transition), you'll scour the internet for recipes that are FODMAP-friendly and maybe join some Facebook groups. There are also lots of FODMAP-friendly recipes available on sites you might already frequent, though they aren't necessarily marketed as such. Here are 21 recipe options for you to get cracking in the kitchen.

1. Salt cod and potato cakes recipe

I love this recipe because it combines your protein with your side dish and tastes better than a crabcake. (Sigh... Remember crabcakes?) Since you're following a low-FODMAP diet, you won't be able to partake in the tartar sauce side, so try some FODMAP-friendly mustard instead.

2. Dilly egg salad recipe

This egg salad recipe calls for a great combination of dill, mustard and mayo flavors. As with any products, please make sure your mustard and mayo have only low-FODMAP ingredients before using them.

3. Coconut-peanut butter bars recipe

I love these bars because you can eat them as breakfast, a snack or even dessert. Make sure you use either Enjoy Life chocolate chips or over-70-percent dark chocolate chips. The serving sizes are small enough to not hurt your belly. (Just don't eat the whole batch in one sitting!)

Note: The acceptable portion size for an avocado is 1/8, so be mindful of that.

14. Rosemary polenta fries recipe

I like this recipe because you don't need to fire up the grill to enjoy a nice piece of steak. It calls for chili powder, so make sure you purchase one that is FODMAP-friendly, as some packaged spices have garlic added. The green onions are OK, but only the green parts, so don't eat the white.

16. Quinoa tabbouleh with feta recipe

Take all the fixings of a proper salad, add quinoa and feta, and congratulations: You have a protein- and vitamin-filled meal. Remember, when using the green onion, you can only eat the green parts — no white.

As mentioned, updated research comes from Monash University, and they are one of the best online resources to visit. Keep in mind that these recipes were not necessarily created by those who follow a FODMAP diet but who happen to be low-FODMAP. Therefore, some ingredients and portion sizes will have to change accordingly.

10 Foods That Can Actually Take Your Bedroom Stamina to New Heights

$

If you think the idea of friends with benefits is pretty rad, just wait 'til you learn about foods with benefits. Yup, there are totally foods out there that can help you get it on longer and go harder. And we're not talking about crazy Fear Factor-y edibles like slimy conch penis either — these are foods that you'll actually want to eat. Do we have your attention yet?

Because we've all been caught in those moments during sex when the mind is willing, but the body isn't able, we're providing you all the delicious details. And unsurprisingly, it turns out the secret to better sex is keeping yourself healthy and hydrated.

A general note on nutrition

Without delving too far into it, literature from WebMD to Discovery Health agrees that the best diet for sex is one that leads to a healthier lifestyle. The healthier the body, the better it will function as it's "exercising," but more important, you'll feel better about yourself. Research shows that most of the blocks to great sex (in healthy sexually active adults) are mood, not food. Stay fit, and you'll feel better about yourself and have better sex.

Make your intimate moments longer, stronger and hotter

It can be easy to forget that, at its heart, sex is a cardio workout. Just like someone getting ready to go to the gym or an athlete getting ready to run a marathon, proper nutrition is essential to getting the sexiest results possible. Fortunately, just like sports nutritionists have identified optimal meals for the best results in a run, nutritionists have also discovered foods that will increase your stamina in bed.

The good news is that each of these foods is delicious in addition to giving you and your partner the endurance to keep the love on. The better news is that, unlike running a marathon, you'll really love trying these sex foods and seeing the results for yourself.

1. Foods rich in vitamin B12

Any food rich in vitamin B12 will help the body with energy production, and with so many options to choose from, it's easy to get more B12 into your diet. These options include eggs, shellfish, beef, caviar and fortified tofu. Once you've had your B12 feast, you can expect increased blood circulation and strength. It also helps to elevate mood.

2. Raw oysters

The myth about oysters being good for you in bed is actually true. Oysters are high in zinc, which stimulates testosterone, a hormone useful for building and maintaining desire in both men and women. They also deliver amino acids that have been linked to sexual desire, and omega-3s, which help keep you in the mood. They also have lots of B12. Win-win. "Oysters create more sexual stamina because you are so turned on. Maybe it is all the zinc and B12, but once people make oysters a part of their eating routine, they crave them. And then they crave something else," says Dr. Drew Ramsey, assistant clinical professor of psychiatry at Columbia University and author of Eat Complete: The 21 Nutrients That Fuel Brainpower, Boost Weight Loss, and Transform Your Health.

(It's always best to remember that eating raw shellfish can lead to food poisoning, so get your raw oysters from reputable sources only. Nothing says unsexy diet like tummy trouble.)

3. Asparagus

While there is the nasty rumor that asparagus can make your pee smell, don't cross this pungent veggie off your list of romantic foods altogether. As Tristan Weedmark, Global Passion Ambassador at We-Vibe, explains it, asparagus is chock-full of vitamin E, which can help to aid in the production of testosterone.

And for the couples who are hoping to get a little bit more out of their night of passion, Weedmark says, "In addition to increasing stamina, asparagus can boost sex drive as well as sperm count."

4. Avocados

Lovers of guac, rejoice! Avocados are so insanely nutritious that they are considered by many to be a superfood, and Weedmark categorizes the tasty fruit as a sexual superfood too. For starters, he says, avocados are an extra-rich source of monounsaturated fats and vitamin B6.

"These help keep energy levels up, which is crucial for endurance in the bedroom. They also contain mood-boosting omega-3 fatty acids, and of course, feeling happy can’t hurt when it comes to sexual interest and performance," Weedmark explains.

5. Grapes

Of red grapes, Rebecca Lewis, in-house RD at HelloFresh, says, "They are a good source of boron, which is a mineral that helps stimulate the production of both estrogen and testosterone." Both these hormones have been shown to aid men and women in bedroom performance: estrogen for libido in women, and testosterone for physical stamina of any kind in both men and women.

6. Watermelon

Watermelon is packed with citrulline, a natural chemical that helps the body increase oxygen flow in the blood. If possible, try to find a way to mix watermelon with garlic and/or ginger, both of which are found to cause blood to flow into the private parts in both women and men.

7. Lemon

When you're making that romantic Valentine's Day, anniversary or TGIF meal for your boo, don't forget to put on the finishing touch — fresh lemon zest is not only flavorful, but it may be an "underutilized enhancer of pleasure," according to Dr. Ramsey.

For men especially, Dr. Ramsey says that a zest of lemon will have an immediate below-the-belt impact. He explains, "Compounds in the pith act much like Viagra, and others in the zest promote a dreamy, pleasurable state by stimulating the brain's opiate receptors."

8. Pomegranate

Pomegranate is an ancient symbol of romance seen throughout literature, and it's making its modern-day comeback in the new millennium. We already know that pomegranates are kind of hard to eat, which means you may have to spend a few extra minutes licking the pulp off your date's fingers. But that ripe and juicy fruit that strangely resembles the female anatomy also has nutritional benefits — as a prime source of antioxidants and a booster of sexual appetite.

"The antioxidants present in this delicious fruit are a triple threat!" Lewis says. "They help increase testosterone production, improve blood circulation and improve mood."

9. Nuts

The puns may abound when serving nuts before sex, but L-arginine-rich nuts, like pistachios, peanuts and walnuts, can have a powerful effect when eaten pre-nookie. Lewis says, "It’s all about the L-arginine! L-arginine is an amino acid, which stimulates the production of nitric oxide, which helps dilate blood vessels, which in turn increases blood flow to the penis, strengthening erections."

Lewis adds, "Bonus: Watermelon contains an antioxidant that transforms into L-arginine once ingested."

10. Chocolate

Is there anything chocolate can't do? In particular, dark chocolate, while already being sexy on its own, helps release chemicals in the brain that lead to euphoria. This can help lead to a prolonged sexual experience. It's also packed with antioxidants, which generally make the body perform better.

Dr. Ramsey says, "Coffee and dark chocolate are Mother Nature's stimulants. Doubters should try a double espresso and 3 ounces of dark chocolate before their next morning romp."

Even though the behind-the-scenes clips are hilarious, it’s clear that there are some intriguing reveals to come in the last two episodes. Harington shared what it was like filming that dragon scene.

"I quite liked that moment with the dragon. I think there was something I wanted to bring to it, which was quite animalistic. Animals go on the smell of something,” he said in an HBO clip. “If you're coming up to a horse, you want it to sniff you before it trusts you. Hopefully, that worked with the dragons. If you show quite a vicious animal fear, it will jump on that, but if you show it bravery, it will respond in a different way."

Clarke says her character is definitely on board with this revelation. "She sees his interaction with her dragons and it's an attractive quality for her,” she said.

The Unexpected Criticism of Botox

Something funny — well, it wasn’t so much funny as it was curious — happened recently. I got Botox for the first time last month, but unless I told you (I told everyone), you’d have no idea. It was just a tiny pinch in between my brows where I tend to furrow my brow in casual judgment and a bit underneath each eye near the tops of my cheekbones — and just like dermatologist Jeannette Graf promised, I woke up looking, well, better. I was pretty shameless about it, and confessed — if you want to call it that — to anyone who would listen.

But let’s rewind. When I got home from the appointment, my skin slightly red and splotchy from injecting it with a needle, my boyfriend just shook his head at me. He’d tried to talk me out of getting Botox a few days prior, telling me (genuinely, it should be noted) that he loves me just how I am and that it would be vain to get Botox at age 29 — even if it was just “preventative.” I figured he was a dude and just didn’t get it and didn’t he want me to spend less time getting ready?

More: 3 Unexpected Alternative Uses for Botox

Then, when I casually mentioned it to my friends — many of whom have no problem lying in a tanning bed a few times a month and Instagramming about it — they shrieked in disdain. I heat-froze my fat once a week for a month and got a pimple injected with cortisone without so much as an eyebrow raise, but apparently, they draw the line at Botox. Complaints ranged from “You’re not even 30! You don’t even need it!” to “IT’S SO BAD FOR YOU!” — and my favorite, “Now you have to get it all the time!”

But here’s the final straw. When I got to work, a co-worker Slacked me (which, for the uninitiated, is the office equivalent of G-chat), asking me how the Botox went. We have a pretty modern and nontraditional setup, so I just turned around and basically yelled across the office about my injections, somehow prompting her to apologize because she wasn’t sure if I “wanted everyone to know.” We openly discuss sex positionsorgasm shots and chemical peels — so why would Botox be secret territory?

Then it hit me. Should I be embarrassed that I got Botox? Is it something I should lie about and instead tell anyone who asks that I’ve just been using some magical serum? Why did everyone insist on whispering when they asked me about it? I know I’m not the only millennial who’s gotten it, so when will the stigma wear off?

“I’m getting younger and younger patients,” says Graf, who was outraged when I told her about the backlash. “In fact, we’re noticing that people who are getting [Botox] younger and younger don’t need it as frequently and can avoid getting lines. You can stop anytime.”

As of 2015, 64 percent of facial plastic surgeons saw an increase in Botox in patients under 30, and just about half a million of those getting Botox last year were between the ages of 19 and 34 — the difference of half a generation. In 2014, Botox was the most popular procedure for patients under 30, up 6 percent from 2013.

Dermatologist Joseph Eviatar, who also works out of Omni Aesthetic in NYC, stepped in to back me up too. Many of his patients are as young as their early 20s, and for some, it’s less about blurring the fine lines that haven’t even appeared yet. “One of my patients is 22, and she just wants to see what she can do,” he says, referring to injectables. “And it wasn’t about making her look younger, it’s about making her look great.”

Sure, I could discuss the merits of a good concealer. What’s so bad about waking up looking great?

How Often Should You Be Urinating? An Expert Weighs In on When to Worry

Do your friends make fun of you for peeing all the time too? It might all be in good fun — but at what point do you worry that something’s actually wrong?

You might have heard it all — that you pee as often as a racehorse, like a pregnant woman, that you “definitely have an overactive bladder.” But while friends and family mean well when commenting on the frequency with which you visit the restroom and you might be smiling externally, you might be worried internally.

These questions might weigh heavily on your mind — Do I just pee a lot? Is it because I drink an exorbitant amount of water? Or is there a bigger issue here, a medical one that I should question, worry about and for which I should potentially consult a doctor?

“It’s not a funny joke,” Steven Gregg, executive director of the National Association for Continence tells HelloFlo.

More: 5 Diet tips to help control an overactive bladder

It’s not funny because the truth is a large percentage of women struggle with bladder issues. According to the National Association for Continence, 1 in 3 women over the age of 18 will experience bladder leakage in their lifetime.

“There are probably over 37 million Americans — men and women — who have symptoms for overactive bladder, which is urge-related: 'If I have to go to the bathroom, I have to go right now or I will wet myself,'” Gregg says. “You add stress urinary incontinence to that, not even worrying about bowel problems, and we’re probably talking somewhere north of 60 million Americans. It’s bigger than cancer, asthma and diabetes combined.”

If you wish for a day in your future when you’ll be able to enjoy wearing a one-piece jumpsuit without the anxiety of having to rip it off in time before having an accident, keep reading.

“There’s a couple ways to think about the bladder and bladder leakage,” Gregg says. “Stress urinary incontinence is you cough, you lift something, you sneeze, you increase pressure, you get a little leakage? That’s not normal. Childbirth and postpartum tends to cause this problem in a lot of women.”

So how do you know if you truly suffer from OAB or another urinary issue or are just the butt of your friend’s bathroom jokes?

More: I have a common bladder condition no one talks about, & it's taking over my life

“We typically see some numbers, that the average person goes between six to eight times a day, something like that, which is considered normal,” says Gregg. “If however, you feel like, when you have to go, ‘I have to go right this second!’ and you rush because you may leak, that’s not normal. Even though you might not go a lot, that urgency — that urge-related incontinence — is something you have to have looked at.”

Urgency isn’t the only bladder issue that sends many women and men to a specialist. Frequency is also a massive problem. As a general rule, if you’re urinating more than six to eight times a day, that classifies as frequent urination or overactive bladder.

Additionally, if you’re getting up during the night to urinate, that’s also an indicator of a bladder issue that requires medical attention. This is a good starting point for diagnosis and should motivate you to consult a physician, who can help by assessing your symptoms and providing treatment options.

Aside from frequent urination, another common bladder issue that women face is incontinence. Though it’s a terrifying word that many associate with getting older, medical experts maintain that it’s not correlated to age and in fact is a medical issue that is never considered “normal,” no matter how old a person is. Another factor? Most of us aren’t peeing the “right” way.

According to Gregg, “holding it in” is one big way in which women are deteriorating the strength of their bladder muscles.

The cause? Women are not scheduling time to urinate; instead, they’re holding it in and only peeing when they have time to.

“What you should actually do is plan to go to the bathroom as opposed to going when you need to go,” Gregg says. “Go in the morning. Go at 10:00. Go at noon. Go at 3:00. Go before you get on the bus, train, car to go home. Go before you go to bed.”

Aside from scheduling times to urinate, another way a person can strengthen their bladder and reduce urinary issues is relearning how to pee. This means making sure you’re actually emptying your bladder fully.

“It’s called bladder retraining, and it’s actually called ‘toileting’ to learn how to pee. How many people do you know, someone uses the bathroom, and then 20 minutes later, they’re like, ‘I have to go again’? Maybe you didn’t empty your bladder completely the first time because you rushed through it,” Gregg says.

The way to combat this, Gregg explains, is a simple stand-up, sit-down method.

“You should sit down and you should go. Then stand up and sit down and try to go again so that you completely empty your bladder. All that does — that stand up, sit down — is teach you how to empty your bladder fully.”

So go forth and pee armed with these facts, and, of course, see your doctor if necessary.

Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie Involved in Weird Interior Design Lawsuit

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie may be getting divorced, but that doesn't mean they won't have each other's back in a strange new lawsuit filed against them both.

The Guardian reports that the actors are being sued by interior designer Odile Soudant, who reportedly designed lighting at their Chateau Miraval estate in Correns, France. And Soudant isn't asking for a small sum. In April, a court of appeals reportedly ordered the Pitt/Jolie camp to pay $662,000 for unpaid fees and damage to Soudant's reputation because she claims she hasn't received credit for her work.

She told The Guardian, "I am an artist and this is my work. When someone tries to steal my work, it is something else. This is all very painful for me."

But a source told Refinery29 that Pitt isn't in the wrong. Apparently, from Pitt's side of things, Soudant has been paid in full, and both the project manager and the architect on the project have distanced themselves from Soudant because of her accusations. The source added that the project manager and the architect speak "incredibly highly" of Pitt.

Pitt's camp has even released a statement already: "We respect the Court’s decision resolving this long-running, standard dispute over payment of invoices. This narrow ruling does not address any copyright issues involving [lighting] designs developed by Brad and has no connection to Chateau Miraval."

Jolie has yet to comment on the situation.

Though Soundant received her payment in April, she said she's taking the story public now because she's still fighting to receive credit for her work on the property.

She added, "Of course people think Brad Pitt is right, that 'he’s the good guy and she is wrong.'"

An architect on the property contradicted Soudant's statements, explaining, "The lighting ideas came principally from Mr. Pitt himself. He is passionate about architecture and knew what he wanted to achieve."

The couple announced they were expecting back in February and said at the time that they already had a name picked out: "Now, pregnant with our first child, Derek and I are looking to the future," Hannah wrote. "He already has a name in mind — he's set on it. (We'll see.) He'll say when he calls me during the day: 'So, how are you and so-and-so doing?' 'That's not the name yet, sweetie.' Whatever her name is, I know she'll run circles around him."

Hannah added, "Derek and I will want our children to understand that the lives they've been given are so fortunate, in so many ways. We'll want them to learn to help others, and to care for others, and to give back to the world. We'll let them know that they are strong and smart and that they can do anything they put their minds to. I hope they'll be honest like their father. I hope they'll be stubborn like me. I hope that they know what they want and won't settle for less. And if they want to play baseball, well, we're gonna have a little talk first."

The couple celebrated their first wedding anniversary in July and had dated for three years prior to marrying.

Derek recently retired from baseball and told Brian Williams ahead of his last game, in September 2014, that he wanted a family.

"I look forward to having a family. I just don't think personally I would have been able to juggle family and my career at the same time... I have the utmost respect for these guys that are able to do it — you know, missing their kids' birthdays and not being able to see them play tee ball or summer ball and missing a lot of time."
