Consent Will Be Front & Center on BIP, & That's a Big Deal

Some changes have come to Bachelor in Paradise ahead of its fourth season, and honestly, they're probably good things.

Following the notable BIP scandal early in Season 4's filming, which was centered on allegations of sexual misconduct and consent, filming was shut down in June. During that time, all the contestants were sent home while Warner Bros. conducted an investigation into the incident.

We wondered if it was the end of BIP while also hoping everyone was safe and OK and the allegations were being taken seriously. We're still not 100 percent sure about that last one — thanks, in part, to the first teaser for the season, which makes light of the situation in a truly cringeworthy way — but regardless, BIP came back with a set of new rules about the way contestants can drink and interact during filming. These rules included a focus on controlling alcohol consumption and the constant practice of active, enthusiastic consent.

BIP Season 4 contest Vinny Ventiera (who competed on JoJo Fletcher's season of The Bachelorettetold E News that when he was called back to BIP to resume filming, he had to agree to the new guidelines. "The most significant change was we had a limit on what we could drink," he explained. We were only allowed two drinks per hour, so every hour, we'd have a log and we'd go up there and get two drinks."

He continued, "Also, we had to make sure, on camera, that if we wanted to spend the night with a significant other that it would be on camera and consensual. On-camera consent. As if it's not already awkward that you're on camera hanging out with somebody, now you have to go in front of the camera and look at it and go, I'm willing to go spend the night with this person. It wasn't a buzzkill, but it was a little bit of a speed bump."

More: Corinne Olympios Will Return to Bachelor in Paradise for a Reunion Special

The fact that consent is being taken into consideration by producers now is definitely a welcome change, especially considering how drinking and hookups are central to the storyline in Paradise. We can't say we're completely sold on ABC's decision to re-continue the season, but this is a good start.

It all started when someone posted an Instagram video of the 29-year-old singer shopping in the snack aisle of a grocery store (honestly, one of RiRi’s most relatable moments ever). That’s when the comments started pouring in about the number and quality of Rihanna’s snacks, followed by a call not to judge her.

The Latest Starbucks Drink Involves Both Beef & Pepper...Yum?

I love a funky coffee creation as much as the next gal — I've tried basically every latte, Frappucino and shaken iced tea concoction Starbucks has come out with, even the ones that seem more like science experiments than actual beverages.

But the latest drink at the Starbucks Reserve Roastery in Seattle has given me major pause. It's the Pepper Nitro with a Jerky Twist — a concoction of nitro cold brew enhanced with malted pepper syrup, pink peppercorn, honey foam and (get ready!)... a skewer of grass-fed beef jerky.

More: 10 Low-Calorie Starbucks Drinks Perfect for Summer Sipping

It's a far cry from the pink drink. I'll certainly give them that!

Even though my initial reaction was "Hell NO," I can sort of see how coffee and beef jerky might not be so strange a pairing. After all, coffee-rubbed beef tenderloin is pretty much heaven on Earth. There's a certain smokiness to the roasted coffee that helps play up the earthy flavors of meat.

And just as cayenne pepper can liven up a bar of dark chocolate, I can totally see how peppercorns could add a jolt of flavor to a cup of joe. Combined, you have a sort of caffeinated (nonalcoholic) twist on the bloody mary, something savory to get your day started.

You can try out the Pepper Nitro with a Jerky Twist at the Starbucks Reserve Roastery in Seattle. It's not going to be served at any other roastery locations, so if the Venn diagram of your favorite foods is an overlap of coffee and beef jerky, it might be worth the trip.

Just don't try this at home, kids. A Slim Jim swizzle stick in your iced mocha does not a culinary masterpiece make.

Angelina Jolie Disputes That the Casting Call for Her Film Was 'Exploitative'

Angelina Jolie is currently under severe scrutiny, but she's actively trying to combat that scrutiny with her side of the story.

More: Angelina Jolie Gives Rare Interview About Her Health & Divorce From Brad Pitt

Lately, the Oscar-winning actress has been doing press for her upcoming Netflix film, First They Killed My Father. In one interview with Vanity FairJolie had apparently described the casting process used to find a child to play the film's lead.

According to Vanity Fair's description, an improv exercise during casting was performed that involved putting money on a table, asking the children to think about why they needed the money before taking it. The children were then "caught" and asked to make up a lie to explain why they took the money. The exercise was based on a real-life experience of Loung Ung, whose memoir inspired Jolie's film. Many of the children who auditioned for the role were from orphanages and slums.

"Srey Moch [the girl who was chosen for the film's lead part] was the only child that stared at the money for a very, very long time," Jolie told Vanity Fair. "When she was forced to give it back, she became overwhelmed with emotion … When she was asked later what the money was for, she said her grandfather had died, and they didn’t have enough money for a nice funeral."

More: Angelina Jolie's Fully Adulting by Now, but She Still Needs Her Mom

When news broke about the exercise, many criticized it on social media, saying it exploited the underprivileged children who hoped to land the role. But Jolie has responded strongly that that's not true. She issued a statement trying to clear the air and saying that the safety and comfort of the children was put first during auditions.

"Every measure was taken to ensure the safety, comfort and well-being of the children on the film starting from the auditions through production to the present. Parents, guardians, partner NGOs whose job it is to care for children, and medical doctors were always on hand everyday, to ensure everyone had all they needed. And above all to make sure that no one was in any way hurt by participating in the recreation of such a painful part of their country’s history," she wrote. "I am upset that a pretend exercise in an improvisation, from an actual scene in the film, has been written about as if it was a real scenario. The suggestion that real money was taken from a child during an audition is false and upsetting. I would be outraged myself if this had happened. The point of this film is to bring attention to the horrors children face in war, and to help fight to protect them."

More: Angelina Jolie Fights for Young & Abused Refugee Women in Kenya

It would appear that Jolie's statement is trustworthy and that this may all be a result of a simple misunderstanding or misrepresentation of how this film was actually cast. Considering Jolie has long worked as a humanitarian and United Nations ambassador, she seems like just the right person to be tackling this film and furthermore appears to be the kind of person who would put the safety of children first. We hope the backlash calms down soon.

Here’s How Breastfeeding Could Be Affecting Your Vagina

$

0

Breastfeeding can be complicated. It can run the gamut of being an effortless experience to being the most painful, frustrating and stressful adjustment. The reality of breastfeeding combined with the pressure to do so long-term, can add stress to an already volatile time, which is why having the low-down on how vaginas change is important. It’s one less thing that’ll catch you by surprise.

More: 28 Breastfeeding Essentials for the New Mom

After giving birth, a woman’s estrogen and progesterone levels plummet in a way similar to the way they shift during menopause. The drastic change in hormone levels can lead to atrophic vaginitis, which includes inflammation of the vagina as well as soreness, itching and dryness. The condition can persist for as long as a woman breastfeeds because throughout this time estrogen levels will remain relatively low — high estrogen levels would inhibit milk production.

Rachel had atrophic vaginitis while breastfeeding her daughter, and sex was so painful that it soon became out of the question. “I’m not a huge sex person, so for me to complain that sex hurt and was hurting my relationship was a big deal," she said. "I started local hormone therapy for the dryness because I was so uncomfortable, but I wasn’t warned that this could happen. I was kind of dismissed. Like, that’s the way it is.”

In an article for Medscape, midwives Amy Palmer and Frances Likis describe lactational atrophic vaginitis in women who are nursing as “probably under-recognized” by physicians. Palmer cites lack of awareness as a reason why physicians fail to warn women of lactational atrophic vaginitis.

More: 5 Ways to Keep Your Vagina Healthy

In addition to having pain during sex, women who are nursing may lose their interest in sex altogether. The lack of interest may be because breastfeeding suppresses hormones (prolactin and testosterone), which impact libido. If you are interested in sex while you’re breastfeeding and you’re also experiencing vaginal dryness, Dr. Candace Howe, an OB-GYN in California, recommends both low-dose vaginal supplements (which won’t impact breastfeeding) and Aquaphor, an ointment for healing dry and cracked skin.

Lactational atrophic vaginitis is just one of many on a list of ways breastfeeding could be impacting your vagina.

Lochia, for instance, is a bloody discharge experienced right after you give birth and can continue while breastfeeding. The changes in discharge colors can also mean distinct things — brown or pink discharge indicates a woman’s period returning in a different fashion, while white discharge indicates ovulation and serves as a reminder that it is possible to get pregnant while breastfeeding.

More: 8 Things Your Vagina Is Telling You

Breastfeeding can also impact how your vagina smells. Lower estrogen levels at this time mean that your vaginal walls are thinner and less acidic, which allows for odor. Topical estrogen can help, but you should decide with your doctor if that’s the best route for you since the topical estrogen could potentially make its way into your bloodstream and affect lactation.

The Queen of England Drinks 4 Cocktails a Day, & We Are So Here for It

I never expected the queen to make me feel like a lightweight, but here we are.

A recent look into her diet, which mostly involves fairly simple and nutritious foods like fish, vegetables and whole-grain cereal, revealed a big surprise — the queen regularly imbibes four drinks a day, including one before lunch.

Now, I don't know about you, but if I have a cocktail before noon, it usually means I'll be in bed with a headache by 3 p.m. (a lesson I'll probably never learn thanks to a little thing called brunch).

More: Queen Elizabeth's Favorite Song Makes Her a Disco Queen

But Queen Elizabeth celebrates midmorning with a glass of gin and Dubonnet on the rocks with a slice of lemon, something a lot stronger than the cup of tea you'd think she might reach for. That's followed by a glass of wine with lunch, and according to her a cousin, a dry martini.

Before bed, she'll sip a glass of fine Champagne, which is a lot classier than anything I would manage to do — in general, the more I drink the less refined my palate becomes, so if anything, I'd start my day with the Champagne and end it with a cup of gin (yes, I said cup and not glass, because I'm being realistic here, people).

Now, normally I'd look askance at someone who told me they have four drinks a day, but seeing that Queen Elizabeth is 91 and still a total baller who meets elephants, drives Jaguars and rules a country as though it were nothing, she definitely gets a pass.

If four drinks a day is the magic secret to her longevity and happiness, maybe we should all take a page out of her book. Well, maybe that doesn't seem like a good blanket recommendation, but I think we can all agree on this — find what works for you and stick to it, no matter what the haters say. Oh, and always wear a fabulous hat. There's a blanket recommendation for being more queenly that everyone can benefit from.

Yelp Hurt Andrew Zimmern's Feelings, & He Can't Get Over It

Andrew Zimmern and I have one big thing in common: We both thing Yelp is totally useless for finding good restaurants.

More: The Real Reason Ina Garten Never Had Kids

Zimmern, who hosts Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern on the Travel Channel, ranted to Business Insider about how he really feels about the restaurant review site, and you guys, he does not love it.

"I just… ugh… Yelp drives me crazy," Zimmern said. "I think Yelp is neither good nor bad for the food industry. I find it useless. If you're aggregating a lack of expertise, then when I plug in “best sushi bar in Los Angeles,” Yelp doesn't help me at all. So, if you are a huge food geek like me that really believes in quality — not expensive food, just quality. Above all other things — quality. If you're into quality, Yelp is not for you."

More: These Are the Arguments I Imagine Ina & Jeffrey Garten Have Off Camera

He then offered this great advice: "What I do when I'm going to a new city is I look up who the 4 or 5 better food writers are in that town and the 4 or 5 better chefs in that town. And then I go on to their Instagram and Twitter or Facebook timelines, and I just go back a couple weeks and I write down all the places that these people have been eating or taking pictures of. And I put a little check by it, and the places that have the most checks are the ones that I go to first."

His advice is true if you think about it. Look at what Yelp says are the best restaurants in your town. Are they your favorites? If you were sending someone from out of town to the best restaurant in your city, would you pick a place on Yelp's best list? I know the restaurants Yelp says are my city's top 10 are fine, but they're not the places that locals truly know are best.

Or, in the words of Zimmern, "I mean, I just… ugh… Yelp drives me crazy. But it drives me crazy. I'll let you decide if it drives you crazy."

Hey, (New) Mamas: This Incredible Service Will Do Wonders for Your Stress

$

By Samantha Samel

Imagine if you didn’t have to spend time figuring out what to make for dinner or researching which car seat you should buy. Imagine if someone reached out to you to suggest what kind of breast pump you should purchase so you weren’t scrambling (read: having a panic attack) during your first days back at work after maternity leave. Imagine if there were a service you could sign up for — a service provided by your company — that did all of that for you.

It may sound like a dream, but that service actually exists. Fifth Third Bank, a company based in Cincinnati with offices in 10 different states, implemented a maternity concierge program this past January to help new moms with the inevitable chaos that comes with returning to work after having a baby. The company’s goal was simple: they wanted to find a way to better retain women by making their lives easier during this often-hellish transition period.

More: The Pros & Cons of Working From Home as a Mom

Teresa Tanner, the company’s chief administrative officer who oversees HR, did her research and discovered that within the year after returning from maternity leave, women were leaving the workforce at twice the rate of other women — and she wanted to change that. The maternity concierge program may sound revolutionary, but it’s completely in line with Fifth Third’s values; the company recently added four paid weeks to both its maternity and paternity leave policies, and it already offered a concierge program to employees to save time on tedious errands like dry cleaning.

The maternity concierge piggybacks off the existing program, but helps pregnant women and new moms specifically — and it doesn’t wait for employees to reach out for help. Tanner’s logic is that no matter how long people are on leave, at a certain point, they’re coming back — and there needs to be a way to ease that transition.

“Instead of waiting for [employees] to ask them [for help or advice], they do an intake interview,” explains Laura Trujillo, senior manager for corporate communications at Fifth Third Bank. “They reach out to women and ask things like, ‘Is this your first kid? Do you have car seat? Do you want us to order you a breast pump?’ They’ll let women know that they need to request access to rooms for breast pumping.”

How exactly does it work? Fifth Third has collaborated with Best Upon Request, another Cincinnati-based company, which helped to build the program. There are two full-time employees who help the maternity concierge customers by doing research and running errands for them.

More: 8 Reasons Why Gal Gadot Is Our Real-Life Wonder Woman

“They’ll do things you don’t feel like doing when you’re 7 or 8 months pregnant,” Trujillo, a mother of four, explained. “They’ll grocery-shop for you and put groceries in your refrigerator, for example.” They’ll also research day care programs and plan a baby shower or first birthday party. Employees pay for any goods purchased — but the service is entirely free.

At Fifth Third, this kind of investment was a no-brainer. Trujillo says that while 60 percent of the company’s workforce is women, at the executive and senior level, that drops to 23 percent. “Tanner made the case that we should have more women at the top, and she knew that the year after maternity leave was very critical [in terms of retaining women],” she explains.

The program is a six-figure investment, according to Trujillo, which is relatively minimal considering the company employs 18,000 people. “It’s really made a difference and has been crazy popular,” Trujillo says, adding that when the email went out in January alerting employees of the new program, more than 100 people emailed Tanner directly to remark on how happy they were.

Today, approximately 200 women have taken advantage of the service, 63 percent of whom have used it virtually (only about half of the women have used it in Ohio; the rest reside in one of the other 10 states in which Fifth Third operates.)

Katie Ockerman, one of the maternity concierge customers, credits the program with helping her find balance with her career and being a mom. She’s a financial center manager at Fifth Third and she has a 2-year-old daughter and 10-month-old twins — so she’s had a lot to juggle in recent years.

“Knowing the program was there was the No. 1 major thing for me that made me feel like I was valued at work,” she says. “They’ve sent me meal prep ideas and recipes for dinner, which has been very helpful. I don’t have the time when I get home to be cooking dinner, nor do I want to.”

Ockerman says the service has also helped point her to family-friendly activities in Cincinnati so she didn’t have to spend time researching that herself. “I really enjoy having them at my fingertips if I need a gift idea or party preparations; they can research things,” she adds.

Ockerman always planned to return to work after having her kids, but she says knowing that this program existed made her feel more at ease about the transition. “I breastfed with both [my first daughter and the twins], and there’s a lot more support now [than there was the first time around]. The bank makes sure you have areas for [pumping at work],” she explains.

In fact, adding more support for breastfeeding moms is a newer feature of the maternity concierge program, which is constantly being reviewed and refined so it’s as helpful as it can possibly be; Tanner and her colleagues have meetings every month to check in on what they should be doing differently. “If you’re traveling for work, we’ll pay to send your breast milk home,” Trujillo says, clarifying that this service was added to the program in response to an employee’s request.

More: How One Attorney Has Made Time for a Side Hustle

In addition, Fifth Third is making sure that managers and leaders are advised on how to respond if a team member reveals that she’s pregnant. “We want to make sure pregnancy isn’t looked at as an inconvenience,” Trujillo says. “We tell managers to make sure they refer [pregnant employees] to the concierge — and make sure they feel supported and like it’s an exciting thing rather than being worried about telling their boss they’re pregnant. The bank really wanted to try to change the culture around that.”

The fight for equal pay for women is still ongoing. But for black women, the pay gap is even larger — black women make about 66 cents for every dollar a white man makes. That means that a black woman would have to work six months into 2017 to earn what an average white man earned in 2016 alone according to Valerie Jarrett, a former adviser to President Barack Obama, in a piece written for Refinery29 on July 31, Black Women's Equal Pay Day.

"And what particularly rankles me is that this pay gap continues even though Black women are doing everything that we associate with economic success," Jarrett wrote. "At a skyrocketing rate, Black women are pursuing higher education (in fact we’re the most educated group in the United States). We are participating in the labor workforce, and starting businesses. Just consider that in the last decade, the number of businesses owned by Black women increased 178% — the largest spike among any racial and ethnic group of women or men. Yet, pay inequality costs Black women with Bachelor’s degrees an average of $10,000 their first year out of college."

Jarrett continued, "I know these women. They are my family. They are my neighbors. They are my fellow citizens."

7 Things Teachers Want You to Know Before You Send Your Kids Back to School

Well mamas, it's about that time of year again. The sun is almost setting on summer, and we're preparing to pack our kids up to send them back to school.

It's a super bittersweet and exciting time — no one likes to say goodbye to the freedom of summer, but the start of the school year brings so many learning opportunities and chances to grow. And whether this is your 18th BTS season or your first, embarking on a new year brings so many questions about what's in store. Are there things we should be doing when we send our kids back to school that we simply don't realize we're neglecting?

More: How to Prepare an Anxious Child for Back-to-School

We asked real-life teachers to weigh in with advice, insight and tips on things for parents to keep in mind when starting the new year. And if anybody knows what's up — it's our educators.

1. Realize your kids are in good hands

"Don't worry and stress over sending your little ones to school (I know as a mom we have that guilt over not being with them and having others caring for our children). We teachers love them like our own and can't wait to see them in August! Something I ask myself daily while teaching is, 'How would I want Lila's (my daughter's) teachers to treat her?'" — Erin W.

2. Honor the supply list — there's more to it than meets the eye

"Send the supplies with your children that the teachers ask for instead of complaining about it. When students don't have the supplies they need, it's very hard for them. And I am talking basics: notebooks, glue, crayons, etc." — LeAnne T.

3. Teach your kids to ask for what they need

"For parents of students in high school, I wish they would encourage their kids to advocate for themselves. An example of this might be students asking their teachers when clarity is needed." — Cami P.

4. Read, read, read

"Have kids read during the break! It's such an important skill that can't be denied for the summer months." — Brianne P.

5. Let your children learn from their mistakes (and successes)

"I would encourage parents to let their kids solve their own problems... and encourage parents to let their kids fail at some things, too." — Robert E.

6. Remember that it's a new school year and that brings some change

"Maintain a bit of a schedule during the summer months because it will be easier on everyone involved this August. But, of course, also let kids enjoy a summer break. When heading back into the classroom, remember the teacher, the rules and the expectations can change drastically from year to year. Trust that your child's teacher knows how to teach. They love their job, love your child and, regardless of your child's opinion, they need your support to be successful. And, lastly, children must learn to problem solve. Educators want to see a student progress and learn; I haven't met one yet who is interested in assignments completed by parents." — Melissa C.

7. Reinforce to your child that their teacher is your teammate

"Let your child know that you will be a partner with his or her teacher — that you both want the best for him or her, and then make sure he or she sees (and hears!) you working together." — Kathleen G.

The First Clip Is Here, and J-Law's New Film mother! Looks Like a Total Mindf***

Following months of secrecy surrounding director Darren Aronofksy's latest project, mother!, the first look is finally here — and it's safe to say this Jennifer Lawrence-fronted film is going to leave audiences feeling decidedly unsettled.

More: Jennifer Lawrence Is Keeping Her Relationship on the DL, but We See Them

Remember that scene in the original Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, when Willy takes the golden-ticket-holders through that trippy boat tunnel with images of flies and dead chickens and other horrifying things flashing? It's kinda like that.

In other words, a total mindf***.

'mother!' teaser trailer

'mother!' teaser trailer

According to the film synopsis, mother! centers on a couple whose relationship is tested when uninvited guests arrive at their home, disrupting their tranquil existence. As of yet, it's not clear whether Lawrence is one-half of the couple being disrupted or one of the unexpected guests doing the disrupting.

The short clip for the psychological horror features Lawrence walking around a large, apparently empty old house. Eerie snippets of conversations from the movie play, coming to an intense peak with what sounds like Lawrence's character screaming, "Murderer!"

The screen then cuts to black as another voice says, "God help you" and visuals blur by in a disturbing montage: a man engulfed in flames, a dying locust, Michelle Pfeiffer being seduced and someone being clubbed over the head. So, yeah, maybe plan on NOT sleeping after you watch it.

As for a full-length trailer, the teaser clip reveals we can expect to see the longer version on Aug. 8 — which, given the release date, is cutting it pretty close.
The film was originally slated to hit theaters in October but was just pushed up to Sept. 15. Clearly, Aronofksy and Lawrence are psyched about getting it out there and scaring the living wits out of audiences across America.

First Sean Spicer & Now This? DWTS Could Be Courting BIP's DeMario Jackson

If ever there was a moment for a Chris Harrison crossover on Dancing with the Stars, this is it — according to Us Weekly, beleaguered Bachelorette-turned-Bachelor-in-Paradise star DeMario Jackson could be competing on the upcoming 25th season of DWTS.

Cue Chris Harrison saying, "It's going to be the most dramatic season ev-er!"

More: Corinne Olympios Will Return to Bachelor in Paradise for a Reunion Special

"DeMario's team is in touch with production for DWTS," a source revealed to Us. "They are still in negotiations. No official papers have been signed. DWTS has shown interest in having him on as a contestant."

Naturally, this raises a few salient questions. Like, for example, WTF does Jackson need a "team" for? And, more pointedly, would his appearance on the popular, family-friendly dance competition create conflict?

The 30-year-old reality TV star was technically cleared of any wrongdoing in the alleged sexual assault incident on the set of Bachelor in Paradise. This doesn't mean he was cleared in the court of public opinion, though — especially since those doing the clearing were hired by ABC, who obviously produces BIP.

Fans of DWTS may understandably have a hard time seeing past Jackson's highly publicized television mishaps, including getting kicked off of The Bachelorette by Rachel Lindsay for being a total two-timer.

However, Jackson may already be looking toward a mirrorball-filled future. "I would murder 'Despacito' on that show. You people don't understand. I'm, like, a black, Latin, salsa dancer," he told TMZ last week.

He further noted that he would "love it" if the show tapped him as a contestant, which would give him the opportunity to "showcase a little bit of my dancing skills, also my personality, and try to have some fun."

We'll all be waiting with bated breath to see how that goes.

In any case, Jackson may not be the most contentious character on what is shaping up to be one — cue Harrison again — seriously dramatic season. Last week, news broke that ABC is reportedly courting Sean Spicer, best known as the former White House press secretary under Donald Trump.

Given these casting calls, we honestly can't wait to see what wacky choice ABC makes next.

Will the HBO Hack Reveal More Walking Dead Easter Eggs in Game of Thrones?

There's no denying that Game of Thrones fans don't mess around. Viewers of the popular HBO series seem to be on the same page, and that page says that GoT is the best scripted show on TV. But every now and then some jerk comes along and ruins the fun for everyone. Case in point? Hollywood's latest cyberattack.

More: Sam Claflin Was Almost Jon Snow & 12 Other Stars Almost Cast in GoT

Yep, HBO has been hacked, and upcoming episodes from a couple of the network's series — allegedly along with at least one GoT script — have been leaked online according to Entertainment Weekly.

"HBO recently experienced a cyber incident, which resulted in the compromise of proprietary information," the network said via statement. "We immediately began investigating the incident and are working with law enforcement and outside cybersecurity firms. Data protection is a top priority at HBO, and we take seriously our responsibility to protect the data we sold."

The hackers aren't exactly shrinking violets, either. They've issued threats online that they aren't finished yet. So far, they claim they've obtained stolen 1.5 terabytes of data.

In a mass anonymous email sent to reporters, the hackers bragged, "Hi to all mankind. The greatest leak of cyber space era is happening. What's its name? Oh I forget to tell. Its HBO and Game of Thrones.....!!!!!! You are lucky to be the first pioneers to witness and download the leak. Enjoy it & spread the words. Whoever spreads well, we will have an interview with him. HBO is falling."

More: Did a Walking Dead Star Just Spoil the Season 8 Premiere?

This whole cyber-hacking TV shows garbage is getting a little old, guys — this is why we can't have nice things.

If hackers are going to use their IT savvy to exact revenge, there are certainly bigger fish to fry. Besides, it sucks for unsuspecting viewers when they live in fear of discovering major series' spoilers by simply glancing at their Twitter feeds.

If we had to look for a silver lining in this situation, we'd say that — if spoilers from GoT were forced upon us — it would be pretty badass to find out the upcoming season includes a few more Walking Dead Easter eggs.

ICYMI, GoT gave a little shoutout to AMC's zombocalyptic series during the latest episode as Jon Snow worked to convince Tyrion Lannister that White Walkers are real. His exact words when referencing the ice giants were "Those... walking dead men."

More: Arya's Badassery in the GoT Premiere Set the Internet on Fire

While it's possible the phrasing was just happenstance, the internet swiftly proceeded to freak the fuck out. After all, these are two of the most widely anticipated and cult-viewed shows on television today. So while the HBO hack is horrible news and what we're about to say may sound heartless, is it too much to hope for more crossover references in GoT's future?

Anything's possible, and we don't want to live in a world where you can't dream about a nonsensical spinoff like The Walking Dead Game of Thrones.

The anticipation for The Bachelorette "The Men Tell All"... well, there wasn't much anticipation.

The drama from the guys this season was more annoying than intriguing. But that didn't stop ABC and host Chris Harrison from dredging up all the feuds from this season, especially when it came to villain Lee.

Yes, You Totally Can Wear White After Labor Day — Here's How

$

Hey y'all, we're happy to say it is 2017 and there are so many antiquated fashion rules you need to be breaking, like, yesterday. Your shoes don't have to match your belt, mixing prints and patterns is a total "yes," and black and navy totally look good together. And, for the love of God, you can — and should — wear white after Labor Day.

Still skeptical? We've come up with over half a dozen ways to make white look good all year long, and in any fashion season. If the celebs can do it, so can we.

1. Pair white with leather

Kim Kardashian white turtleneck tank

There's nothing that screams fall more than leather. So why not do as Kim Kardashian did and rock a white turtleneck tank (also very autumn appropriate) with a pair of black leather pants? This outfit is perfect for late September or early October, when the weather's just starting to cool off and you don't quite need a jacket.

2. Sport some faux fur

Olivia Palermo fur vest

There's no denying the fact that white is one of Olivia Palermo's favorite colors. The socialite and style icon wears it very well here, tossing a brown fur vest over the top of her wintry white suit. Not a fan of pantsuits? Try a white faux fur vest styled with a plain black long-sleeved top (à la Palermo), a pair of skinny jeans and some pointy-toe heels or suede boots.

3. Slip into white skinnies

Eva Longoria white skinny jeans

No need to tuck your white skinny jeans away for the winter. Instead, break them out on a cold day, and style them with a snuggly sweater like Eva Longoria's. To look a little less summery, opt for a sweater in a dark, jewel-toned color (think purple or navy).

4. Wear white accessories

Kylie Minogue white accessories
Image: WENN.com

We love how Kylie Minogue accessorized her light brown leather jacket and casual skinnies with a simple white scarf and matching white handbag. It's a fresh, fun take on an otherwise typical fall look. Plus, it brightens up her entire ensemble in a novel way, which we heart.

5. Pick heavier fabrics

Jessica Alba head-to-toe white

Despite its undeniable association with summer, white, when worn in heavier fabrics such as wool, is an extremely winter-friendly hue. Take Jessica Alba, for instance. She's sporting a gorgeous, oversize white coat with white dress pants and a coordinating white top. Forget the flimsy silk shirts and cotton tees. This outfit isn't just warm — it's comfy and totally suitable for the season.

Next up: Rock a white graphic sweater

6. Rock a white graphic sweater

In case you haven't noticed, graphic sweaters are seriously in for fall! Don't go with a cute knit in an expected color, though — choose something that's light and fun and out of the box. We're digging Lauren Conrad's casual “Ho! Ho! Ho!” sweater. Dress it up with heels, or keep it chill with flats.

7. Try off-white

Still a little bit wary of donning full-on white? Experiment with creams and other off-white shades to give you the same effect but not as bright. Kate Middleton looks stunning in this coat, right?
