Steve Harvey's Ex-Wife, Mary Vaughn, Has Made Grave Allegations Against Him

It's been more than a decade since Steve Harvey settled his divorce with his second wife, Mary Vaughn, but she's still coming at him.

More: Daytime Talk Show Guest Stars: Ellen, Steve Harvey, The Talk and More

Vaughn filed a lawsuit against the Family Feud host this week, leveling a number of shocking (and bizarre) allegations against him, saying that their nine-year marriage subjected her to "prolonged torture with the infliction of severe mental pain and suffering," and asking for $60 million in damages.

Court documents show that Vaughn is claiming she "attempted suicide by self-medicating [in] an effort to stop the pain," and that the "severe emotional distress" caused by Harvey and his attorneys caused medical problems that Vaughn and her immediate family claim they've been dealing with for the last 15 years. She's also suing for "alleged child endangerment, torture, kidnapping, breach of contract, conspiracy against rights, intentional infliction of emotional distress, harassment, brainwashing, theft by deception and "soul murdering," whatever that is.

What makes the lawsuit even more bizarre is that it was filed by a civil rights activist who was granted power of attorney by Vaughn, not by an actual lawyer. Vaughn will be representing herself in the suit, court documents say, which seems like an ill-advised idea considering the caliber of lawyer Harvey would be able to hire.

Harvey's lawyer, Brandon R. Williams, released a statement Friday morning about the lawsuit, saying, "Mr. Harvey vehemently denies any allegations set forth in the lawsuit. The complaint is meritless, frivolous and the allegations are completely false. We will vigorously defend/counterclaim against the complaint."

This isn't the first time Vaughn has caused legal trouble since settling her divorce with Harvey. In 2013, she was sentenced to 30 days in jail for breaking a gag order in their divorce settlement and airing her grievances with Harvey in a video posted to YouTube.

This Is What It’s Like to Have Your Vagina Explode

It didn’t take much time — or rosé — for things at our latest installment of Wine & Gyn to get very real and very personal. HelloFlo’s Naama Bloom moderated the discussion about life after having a baby among three mothers and industry leaders: sex and relationships expert Dr. Logan Levkoff, OB-GYN Dr. Jaquelline Perlman and Keech Combe Shetty, co-CEO of Combe Inc., the makers of Vagisil®.

Cracked nipples, skin discoloration and tips for making the most of post-baby sex (hint: Vagisil® ProHydrate Natural Feel Moisturizing Gel helps) were among topics discussed candidly throughout the night. (Oh, and there was also a story about vaginal explosion; more on that later.)

“We learn so much when we’re honest,” Levkoff said, recounting the guilt she felt about not enjoying her first pregnancy. “It’s much better to be honest with the people in our lives than to sit in quiet and think that someone is going to judge you for all those feelings, because those feelings are real and [they] don’t make you a bad person.”

Ahead, some extremely honest thoughts and confessions about what life is really like after having a baby, as told at Wine & Gyn.

On self-lubrication woes
“Not every person produces copious amounts of lubrication. We have this idea that if we’re aroused, obviously there’s going to be lubrication, but our brain and our bodies aren’t always synced up that way. There should be no shame or guilt if it doesn’t work the way you want it to. That’s why we have products to help us.” — Dr. Logan Levkoff

On breastfeeding struggles
“I recommend breastfeeding, but it’s a choice. Not everybody wants to do it, and nobody should be shamed into doing it, and nobody should feel guilty about it. Breastfeeding is not easy. It’s maybe natural for the baby, but it’s not so natural for us. It’s position dependent. There’s nipple pain. There’s breast pain. For some it’s easy and for others it’s painful. We have to understand that as providers and as women.” — Dr. Jaquelline Perlman

“I produced way, way, way too much milk. Even after my daughter would feed, I would still have to pump so I wouldn’t get engorged. I breastfed for three months, and my daughter had only breast milk for the first six months of her life because that’s how much I froze. It was insane. On Christmas Day, I had mastitis, a 104-degree fever, and was delirious. I was like ‘that’s it, we’re calling it.’” — Keech Combe Shetty

On being overwhelmed before your baby even arrives
“I threw up every day for 19-1/2 weeks. I wanted to kill someone. I’ve never been so miserable in my entire life. I’m pretty sure at six to eight weeks, I told my husband, ‘We made a mistake. We need to end this now.’ It was bad.

"I was suffering thinking I was the worst human being in the entire world… but being a good parent isn’t about saying it’s so much fun all the time. Owning the fact that even if this is something you want, it feels overwhelming and crappy at times is OK.” — Dr. Logan Levkoff

On skin discoloration
“This can happen because of high hormones. It’s called melasma. Some women get it on their face and others get a dark line on their stomach [linea nigra]. Most of the time, it will fade after pregnancy, but it may not necessarily go away.” — Dr. Jaquelline Perlman

wyn-gyn-speakers

On no two recoveries being the same
"After my first C-section, it took me four weeks to be able to walk again. The second time, I was mobile after two weeks.” — Keech Combe Shetty

On having your vagina explode

“I had a very short labor with just 15 minutes of pushing. You would think that’s fabulous, except then I heard the words ‘Jaque, your vagina exploded.’ Needless to say, there was one hour of stitching.

"If you push a little longer, it gives the vagina a chance to elongate and relax, and everything adapts. But when you do it in 15 minutes, nothing adapts. Everything healed properly, but when I first got home, I couldn’t sit — not even on three pillows. Turns out I had a tiny blood clot within my incision. Once my doctor took it out, it all healed much better and much faster." — Dr. Jaquelline Perlman

On not losing your sexual identity
“It’s really easy to take the sexual side of ourselves and put it on the backburner when we become a parent. But remembering that you’re a sexual being with a capacity for pleasure is really valuable. I think that’s a huge component of self-care.” — Dr. Logan Levkoff

That's right; Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson spilled all the details to Elle when the interviewer, for some reason, just asked out of the blue how losing his virginity went, because apparently that's a thing we do now. Spoiler alert: He wasn't very good at sex (who is, though, the first time around?) and it was in a public place, so there were cops involved.

Johnson started to answer by saying, "Um…I wouldn't have been so good at it? I mean, where do you go after that? [Laughs] That's the A-side to the answer. Now the B-side to that is — I would not have been in a park. I would have preferred not to have been caught by the cops," Johnson said. "We shouldn't have been in the park in the first place. All of a sudden, a big spotlight came on us. Bang. You hear the cop roll down the window and say, 'Ma'am, are you okay? Will you come to the car?' She gets dressed, comes to the car. They say, 'Are you being attacked?' She says, 'No, that's my boyfriend.' It was a complete nightmare. [Laughs] Some stories are beautiful, but mine was not."

The Signs of a Heart Attack in Women Over 50

$

If you ask most people what a heart attack looks like, they will likely describe a man clutching his chest and arm while collapsing dramatically. While that is certainly one type, this TV version of heart attacks is by no means encompassing of all experiences — especially for women.

Over the past 15 years or so, campaigns by organizations like the American Heart Association have worked to raise awareness that despite the fact that it’s typically considered a male condition, heart disease is actually the leading cause of death of women in the United States. The risk is highest among women over the age of 50.

More: Yes, Young Women Can Have Heart Attacks Too

With so much conflicting information out there, we spoke with two renowned cardiologists to get to the bottom of what women should be on the lookout for in terms of heart health. Here are a few tips.

Know the classic heart attack symptoms

Yes, heart attacks in women can and frequently do look different than those in men — and we’ll get to that in a minute. But to start with, Dr. John N. Bahadorani, an interventional cardiologist at the Saddleback Memorial Medical Center in Laguna Hills, California, says that there are actually more similarities than differences in symptoms between men and women, so knowing generally what to keep an eye out for is necessary.

Another similarity, according to Dr. Gregory S. Thomas, the medical director of the MemorialCare Heart & Vascular Institute in Long Beach, California, is that heart attack symptoms for both men and women become subtler with age. In fact, some heart attacks are so subtle, they are “silent,” he says, meaning that there is no pain or other symptoms to alert a patient that there heart does not receive enough blood flow. In these cases, the heart attack is picked up by an ECG or imaging test of the heart, rather than because of pain.

Here are the classic symptoms of a heart attack for both women and men according to Bahadorani:

  1. Chest pain or pressure “elephant sitting on my chest”’
  2. Gradual onset with waxing and waning of the intensity
  3. Provoked by exercise and relieved with rest and/or nitroglycerin
  4. Radiation of the pain to the shoulder (left more so than right), lower jaw, neck, back upper abdomen
  5. Associated symptoms of shortness of breath, sweat beading on the forehead, feeling cold/clammy, nausea, fatigue, numbness/tingling in the fingers
  6. Angina (pain as result of mismatch between myocardial oxygen demand and supply) typically lasts two to five minutes, while pain as a result of a heart attack can last for more than 30 minutes.

What’s different in women?

For women, heart attack symptoms may be in between the classic symptoms of pain in the chest and no symptoms at all, Thomas says.

According to both Bahadorani and Thomas, symptoms women in particular need to be aware of include:

  1. Sudden onset of weakness or fatigue
  2. Shortness of breath, lightheadedness and/or a fainting episode
  3. Nausea/indigestion and/or upper abdominal pain
  4. Body aches, including back pain
  5. A “burning sensation” in the chest
  6. An overall feeling of illness (without chest pain)

Also, women have a greater likelihood of their symptoms being induced at rest, during sleep and/or by mental stress as opposed to the typical correlation with physical exertion, Bahadorani says. He adds that for women, the most prominent symptoms in the chest region are discomfort, crushing, pressing or bad aches.

Why do women’s heart attacks sometimes go unnoticed?

Given the symptoms described above, it is often more difficult for a woman to tell that she is having a heart attack or a warning of a heart attack than a man. Along the same lines, it makes the diagnosis more difficult for physicians, Bahadorani says — particularly among younger women. As of yet, research has not shown us why there is a difference between women and men in this regard, according to Thomas.

So here’s the tricky part: Because women don’t typically get chest-clutching TV heart attacks and the symptoms tend to be ones they may encounter on a daily basis from menopause or aging in general, how do you know when to be concerned about your heart?

More: 5 Things You Need to Know About Eating Disorders & Your Heart

“This can be a challenge,” Thomas notes. “If pain is part of the constellation of symptoms, the closer the pain is to the chest, the more likely a heart attack or a warning of a heart attack has occurred.”

Another key, he says, is that the symptoms — including severe fatigue, fainting, severe sweating — come on fairly rapidly and are new, in which case they should be checked out by a physician.

What can you do about it?

It sounds cliché, but being aware of the symptoms is really important in order to be able to identify the early signs — especially if you’re already at risk.

“Woman who carry risk factors for heart disease such as high blood pressure, family history of premature coronary artery disease, elevated cholesterol, smokers or diabetes should be screened for symptoms of heart disease and should be considered for stress testing if there are any concerning findings upon clinical consultation,” Bahadorani says.

He also recommends making “aggressive risk factor and lifestyle modifications,” and if there are enough risk factors for coronary artery disease, physicians may recommend starting a baby aspirin.

There is good news: With better understanding that women and their symptoms are indeed different, the death rate from heart disease in women began decreasing in the year 2000 and has continued to do so, Thomas notes.

What I Learned From a Year Without Sex

$

By Reema Zaman

Shonda Rhimes had her year of yes. I have had a year of no, thank you.

The last time I had sex it was with a 25-year-old, 6-foot-4-inch underwear model. If you’re about to embark on a year of celibacy, you want to go out with a bang. It was a Sunday. We had sex four times. By the end, neither one of us could see or walk straight.

At the time, I didn’t know I was about to enter a year without sex. I am 33. I started having sex when I was 17 and have always had a healthy relationship with sex, nudity and my sexuality. I associate sex with dating. The few times I’ve tried to have a sexual relationship with someone while keeping our interaction casual, it hasn’t worked.

I have the kind of personality that creates and draws involvement (more on this later). So, with the right partner, sex has always been a fun thing. I’ve never been uncomfortable or unhappy during or in regard to sex, and it’s certainly not something I’ve ever feared or gone lengths to avoid.

Thus, the unconscious absence of sex didn't register for about four months. I'd been happily living my life when one day I realized... huh, four months. A season.

I began to connect the effects this absence of sex and dating were having in my personal life, my career and my self-concept. The results were so rewarding that I decided to stretch one season into four. What began as circumstance became an intriguing experiment. I investigated the science behind sex, coupling and bonding, and what I learned deepened my excitement and commitment to this decision.

More: What 11 Happily Married Women Wish They'd Known as Newlyweds

Women and men react to sex very differently, and women and men create loyalty differently. Women forge loyalty through high and repeated levels of oxytocin. Testosterone is an oxytocin inhibitor. Guess who’s known for testosterone?

Due to men’s naturally high levels of testosterone, the way they develop attachment and loyalty to another person is through repeated and high levels of vasopressin. During orgasm, a woman’s level of oxytocin rises to its maximum. The only other time she feels the extreme peak is when she is with her own children, during lactation and other forms of caregiving.

In other words, after orgasm, a woman begins to feel a sudden loyalty and attachment to her partner, regardless of her authentic emotions. Unfounded on sincere emotion, the loyalty and attachment aren’t merely sudden; they're false.

In contrast, during orgasm, testosterone in a man skyrockets. Therefore, during, prior to and after sex, while a woman feels increasingly connected and attached to a man, he has the opposite reaction. Attachment, bonding and loyalty for a man only develop in the presence of vasopressin. Vasopressin levels increase only after a period of time has elapsed between him and his partner, as he develops a genuine understanding and appreciation of her beyond sex.

Learning the science behind orgasm, attachment and loyalty clarified much of my confusion regarding my past behavior in romantic relationships. See, I’ve always entered a relationship as my true self: a woman who is calm, confident, self-assured, ambitious, independent and forthright. Then, after a few dates, and as I’ve now learned, specifically after sex and a few orgasms, my authentic, forthright, feminist self would mutate into a demure, guileless creature, constantly second-guessing her ability for logic, intelligence and wherewithal.

After a mere few dates or months, I would, in horror, observe myself shaping my choices, thoughts and words around the opinions, comfort level, goals and personality of whomever I was dating. My natural ambitious thirst would detach from my goals and attach to his, to help him rise in life. My loyalty to myself would be overpowered by sudden complete loyalty to him. I would wonder, Where have I gone?

I know there are plenty of women capable of holding onto their own identity regardless of sex, dating or relationships. But prior to this experimental absence, I was not one of them. I had already felt the first wave of positive effects from being celibate for four months. I wanted, needed, to give this experience time, not only to see what other benefits bloomed in my life, but to discover my personal story beyond the science. I suspected there must be more behind this year without sex. Time would reveal details.

More: Why Is Everyone Obsessed With Emmanuel Macron's Wife's Age?

Early on, the first benefit I noticed was that my energy was now entirely mine. As sex and dating had always been entwined previously, while in relationships, the majority of my energy was invested in the caretaking of a partner: nurturing his self-esteem, helping him brainstorm and problem-solve day-to-day needs and actions, helping him heal past trauma and heartbreak, helping him build his career and follow through on his goals. I became mother, sister, best friend and life coach for nearly every partner.

Now, my life is stunningly different. All my talents and skills are invested in raising the caliber of my life. My complete energy is focused on my own development — personally and professionally — my contributions to society and my relationships with my inner circle.

I’m now not only a better professional, I am a far better, more present and involved daughter, sister and friend. All the love, time, conversations, problem-solving, advice and nurturing I would previously give my partners, I devote now to my family and friends. Unsurprisingly, our relationships have deepened exponentially.

What I noticed next was my sense of authority in myself and my life. Contrary to the past, I see myself only through my eyes, and I live solely through my choices, shaped by my values. Furthermore, I no longer have to take anyone else’s opinion, schedule or goals into consideration. In such, my lifestyle, goals, personality and future have become limitless.

Also, I recognize now that I hold all sorts of qualities I previously thought were my partners’ domain and contributions. I am funny. I have a sharp instinct for business, marketing and strategic branding. I excel at making quick decisions and taking action on goals, plans and risks. Consequently, by learning this, my self-regard and trust in my capabilities have improved tremendously.

In connection to the above, my muscle for conviction strengthened immensely. My decisions are no longer open to negotiation — both “no” and "yes” are complete and finite sentences. Previously, my muscle for delivering and standing by my decisions was flabby, not when it came to my personal creative and professional goals, but certainly in regard to decisions relating to other people — from friends, relatives and significant others to colleagues and employers. For instance, previously, an initial, “No, thank you. That won't work for me,” would, after minimal coaxing, mutate into, “Sure, fine.”

But now, thankfully, my year of no, thank you to dating, sex and relationships has fundamentally strengthened the way I hold myself in all areas of my life. Now, there is no difference between my intentions and actions. I’m able to deliver, stand by and follow through on precisely and solely the decisions that honor my value and my authentic self.

Lastly, the recent months have shown the most extraordinary shift. I am now unapologetically myself. Without having to consider anyone else’s comfort level, politics, values or life plans, I no longer mute, water down or morph my characteristics, opinions, tastes or goals lest they threaten my partner. I’ve become unflinchingly assertive and can finally respect myself as an honest, unwavering feminist; I no longer preach one thing only to behave hypocritically due to my fear of unsettling, and consequently losing, a partner.

Due to my newly honed strength, in this past year, I launched a speaking career. I speak on life after sexual assault and other adversities, on how to rise with resilience, on the power we women hold within to be the authors of our lives and leaders in the larger world. I’ve also published essays on feminist thought and action, on being a survivor of rape, on being an immigrant, on self-care and fortitude in our current political climate and on the justice we deserve and must champion as women, immigrants and global citizens. Once a girl prone to biting her tongue for fear of intimidating or offending, I’m now a woman known for being publicly vocal and articulate.

It has taken a few decades, but at long last, at 33, I am living as my entire self. I’ve realized as well the story beneath this year without sex. It is not and has never been about sex. It has never been about men. It is not about dating, marriage or love.

It is about self-ownership. Our greatest right as human beings is the power to make our own choices, which is a fundamental pillar of feminism. Feminism is about equality for all people regardless of gender, and it is about the right to make our own choices, to author the narrative we wish to have as opposed to having it designed for or assigned to us.

My year without sex has proven to me the extraordinary results of living as a self-governed, self-sustained, self-nourished being. I’m experiencing the power of behaving, speaking, deciding and living in accordance with my voice and no one else’s.

We all have an area in our lives — be it a relationship or habit or addiction or role — where we invest our fear of our greatest potential. It is where and how we manifest our insecurities. Like a grim lightning rod, it draws all our attention and energy, and we allow ourselves to be defined and controlled by it so we can look away from our truest, boldest self. In other words, this person, habit, pastime, relationship or role is where we focus our fear of our greatest potential. It is where we invest our fear of success. And it enables our smaller self — the self that is quiet, hesitant, afraid, meek — to continue.

Marianne Williamson writes, "Our greatest fear is not our failure. It is our success.” For to risk success is to risk rejection, disappointment... to risk becoming uncommon and different from others. So often, we women silence our voices and our potential in order to belong and to preserve social harmony, especially with a man. Previously, belonging to and making a man happy not only shaped my identity and direction in life, but like so many women, the majority of my self-esteem came from my ability to attract a man and make him happy.

Now, my self-esteem and identity are sourced and defined differently. I am made and anchored within. What has been empowering is that I wasn’t rejected or jaded by the proverbial game; I’ve renounced it along with its accompanying shackles. I’m a writer, speaker and actress. I encounter professional rejection daily from all branches of my career. To be and remain a happy person in my fields requires an unusual amount of self-government, self-esteem and self-love. For me to be productive, my self-esteem, discipline and ability to focus have to remain untouched by external encouragement and discouragement — were I dependent on or formed by outside forces, my ability to live and work happily would be in constant flux.

The greatest benefit from my year without sex is that I’ve soaked into my bones the power of being a completely independent creature. Undeterred by the presence, validation, reward, rejection or absence of anyone else romantically has allowed me to live and work that way as well. Consequently, my career has soared. My emotional health is the strongest it’s ever been, as are my relationships with my family, as is my authority over my creativity. I no longer suffer from second-guessing or self-doubt or feel swayed by external approval or criticism, so I no longer experience stage fright; writer’s block; or hesitation when presenting, pitching or selling my work.

I’m not preaching celibacy, conversion or any specific lifestyle. What I am championing is the power and necessity of self-ownership for women, especially in light of our current climate. I’m encouraging us all to examine where and how we manifest our insecurities. I’m urging us all to claim the necessary courage to relinquish our depleting habits, roles or relationships, to pursue instead our boldest potential.

Where do you invest your fears? Are you ready now to invest in your rise? Can you imagine the collective impact if we each vanquished our resident obstacles and filled into our boldest selves?

I’m looking forward to returning to sex and dating one day. I’m certain these newfound shifts in myself will attract and create a level of connection, love and intimacy I haven’t felt before.

But not yet. Right now, I’m perfectly happy living as my own person.

Chris Cornell's Widow Says His Final Days Were Spent With His Family

As the world is grappling with the sudden death by suicide of Chris Cornell, frontman of rock bands Soundgarden and Audioslave, his family is too. However, Cornell's widow, Vicky Cornell, is disputing reports that he took his own life.

More: These 36 Celebrities Have Died in 2017

"Chris’ death is a loss that escapes words and has created an emptiness in my heart that will never be filled," Vicky told Entertainment Tonight. "He was my best friend. His world revolved around his family first and of course, his music, second."

She says she doesn't believe reports saying Chris' death was by suicide. He flew home from his tour to spend Mother's Day with her and their three children, she added, and during the visit, he was happy and normal as they made plans for a Memorial Day vacation.

The night of his death, he called her and she knew something wasn't right. "When he told me he may have taken an extra Ativan [anxiety medication] or two, I contacted security and asked that they check on him," she said. "What happened is inexplicable and I am hopeful that further medical reports will provide additional details."

Official reports say that Cornell hanged himself. "I know that he loved our children and he would not hurt them by intentionally taking his own life," Vicky said. The family's lawyer, Kirk Pasich, also released a statement, reiterating Vicky's belief that Cornell's death was an accident, not by suicide.

"Without the results of toxicology tests, we do not know what was going on with Chris — or if any substances contributed to his demise. Chris, a recovering addict, had a prescription for Ativan and may have taken more Ativan than recommended dosages," Pasich said. "The family believes that if Chris took his life, he did not know what he was doing, and that drugs or other substances may have affected his actions."

There's clearly more to the story, and we hope that as more information becomes available, Cornell's family and fans can find peace.

Don't Expect the Queen to Show Up at Pippa Middleton's Wedding

Updated May 19, 2017, 2 p.m. PT: Fam, we are less than 24 hours away from the social event of the English summer calendar: Pippa Middleton's wedding! She's all set to tie the knot with her hedge fund manager significant other, James Matthews, and we're about to find out whether all the rumors we've been hearing about the big day (feel free to review them all below) have been true.

But before that actually happens, we have a few more rumored wedding details to throw into the mix. ABC is reporting in the hours leading up to the ceremony that those in attendance will be mostly the younger, hipper royal crew, like William and Kate and Prince Harry and (reportedly/hopefully) his soon-to-be fiancée Meghan Markle.

The guest list is rounded out with other young, hip celebrities, including, apparently, a bunch of unnamed reality TV stars, according to ABC.

But that means that some of the royal family won't be attending, including Prince Charles and his wife Camilla. There's no word on whether they were even invited. Another face we shouldn't expect to see? Queen Elizabeth II, who palace officials say will not be there.

Why isn't the queen attending? We have no idea. Maybe because Pippa doesn't want her wedding to be a circus of media and security personnel (as if it won't be already). Maybe the aging queen just doesn't want one more social event to add to her calendar. The world may never know.

Updated May 15, 2017, 8:30 a.m. PT: Pippa Middleton's wedding to James Matthews is only one week away, so obviously, we can hardly contain our excitement. Good thing there's plenty of new info about the event hitting the headlines to keep our obsession fed until the big day actually arrives.

In today's news, we now know how Middleton is preparing for her I dos — she's in bridal boot camp. E! News reports that she has a customized three-month membership at Grace Belgravia, a super-swanky health club in London. According to the site, the bridal package offered by the club includes a personal trainer, skin care and leg toning treatments, plus yoga, Pilates, spinning, cardio training, dance and meditation classes and home delivery of personalized healthy meals.

"Pippa has met with her PT about five times a week and mostly sticks to cardio and Pilates," a source told E!. "She feels amazing. Her diet is the healthiest ever — she hasn't even had a glass of wine in months. She's had facial treatments sometimes once a week or once a fortnight."

Meanwhile, it's been revealed that Prince Harry's GF, Meghan Markle, finally scored a formal invitation to the wedding, which bucks the "no ring, no bring" royal tradition that says weddings are for married and engaged folks only. Our theory? She and Prince Harry are already engaged, but waiting to make their announcement because they don't want to steal Middleton's wedding thunder. We'll be watching them like hawks in case they slip up and give us some hard evidence that they're next to tie the knot.

Updated May 9, 2017, 9:11 a.m. PT: As if there weren't enough excitement surrounding this impending wedding, we are now learning some juicy details about the cost of Pippa Middleton's wedding to James Matthews.

It would appear that this wedding is set to break even the most well-endowed coffers. Thanks to the sleuthing skills of Marie Claire and the wedding-planning app Bridebook, we now know that Middleton's wedding costs are going to soar. To be fair, these are all estimates and official figures have yet to be confirmed from anyone associated with Middleton's wedding-planning group, but if these numbers are anywhere near the actual price, Marie Claire believes her wedding could cost up to 15 times the average cost: £246,949 or $318,888 USD. Whoa.

Her dress is reportedly estimated to cost around £10,000 (that's roughly $13,000 USD); the bridesmaids dresses, of which there are typically three in a U.K. ceremony, are estimated to cost around £2,250 (that's around $2,900 USD); the wedding rings for Middleton and Matthews are reportedly from Cartier and could collectively set the couple back £19,900 (or close to $26,000 USD). Those are just the essentials, though.

Never mind the costs associated with the venue and the logistics of the ceremony. The actual wedding venue, which will be the Middleton family home complete with dry- and wet-weather conditions, could cost up to £65,000 ($84,100 USD) to prepare. Combined, catering and floristry are estimated at £86,000 ($111,240 USD). For music, entertainers and videography, combined costs could hit the £12,250 ($15,850 USD) mark. This is merely a fraction of the cost, but if you tally up the figures I've just listed out, we're already looking at around £195,400, or $252,750 USD.

The kicker, though, is the estimated cost for Matthews to get transported to this dream wedding: nothing. Marie Claire seems to think that since Matthews is a former racecar driver, he'll have access to a sweet luxury car that can act as his transportation. Nice to see they're going to cut costs in some fashion.

Updated May 8, 2017, 9:43 a.m. PT: With wedding bells less than two months away for Pippa Middleton and banker James Matthews, the world waits with bated breath to see how the nuptials of Duchess Kate's adored sister will unfold. The latest news about Middleton's wedding is sure to pique public interest even more — Prince Harry's girlfriend, Meghan Markle, has reportedly snagged herself an official invitation to the full ceremony.

This is a big deal for the couple for a few reasons. For starters, the big day has long been rumored to be governed by a "no ring, no bring" rule. This unofficial rule states one must be engaged to or married to a person on the guest list to bring a plus one. However, the soon-to-be-wed couple did extend an invite to Markle to attend the evening party after the ceremony on May 20, suggesting she is quickly becoming an important part of Middleton's social circle. Now that Middleton has made an exception for Markle and is giving her the green light to attend the actual ceremony with Prince Harry, does that mean another royal wedding is in the near future?

A source allegedly close to the cute couple told Us Weekly that Prince Harry has every intention of marrying his Suits star girlfriend and even plans to propose by their first anniversary. "They will be engaged by the end of summer," the source claimed, adding that the two have "spoken candidly about their future" and "see a life together."

When royal duties beckon, after all, one must be available to answer the call.

Updated April 24, 2017, 9:00 a.m. PT: Over in the U.K., the Daily Mail is reporting that Pippa Middleton's wedding could be crashed by locals looking for some royal-tinged excitement. Middleton's upcoming nuptials to banker James Matthews will certainly offer locals the opportunity to attend and spot a famous face or two. Thanks to a rule from the Church of England, locals can attend celebrity weddings if the church is their actual local church. I mean, how cool is that?

OK, as cool as that is, here's the thing: This funny little detail opens up the floodgates on who can actually attend the Middleton-Matthews wedding, potentially paving the way for the most prim English turf war ever. There are conflicting opinions on whether locals will actually be allowed in. According to a local official, "It's a rather nice thought that they might be able to attend. I'm sure there will be interest."

However, those involved with planning the Middleton-Matthews wedding appear ready to ban local peeping Tom's should they threaten to derail the carefully planned ceremony with their average people nonsense. As reported by the Daily Mail, a spokesman for the Englefield Estate where the reception is being held has commented that "the church would be 'restricted for security reasons'. The wedding is a private family event. I can confirm that all pedestrian and vehicle routes to Englefield House will be closed on May 20th, and access to the church will be restricted for reasons of safety and security."

It looks like we should grab some popcorn and get ready to watch as the most prim and polite wedding crasher-prevention plan gets put into action.

Original story:

Call it royal wedding-adjacent: Pippa Middleton's nuptials to James Matthews are the most anticipated since her sister Kate said her vows six years ago. We've got the deets on Pippa's dress, her venue, her guest list, her wedding party and even what kind of champagne will be flowing.

Princess Charlotte will be very involved

Multiple sites are reporting that Princess Charlotte, who turns two next month, will be one of Pippa's bridesmaids. Still no word on whether she took part in the booze-fueled hen party Kate and Pippa threw on the slopes of the French Alps.

Her gown will be very different from Kate's

Pippa has none of the restrictions Kate had to deal with when searching for her perfect gown: She doesn't have to look the part of demure virginal princess, for example, nor does the fate of the entire British fashion industry rest on her (possibly) lace-covered shoulders. Designer Giles Deacon was spotted at Pippa's house with armfuls of dresses last November, and his Instagram feed is full of clues about the shape her gown may be taking, based on his other designs. It remains to be seen whether Pippa's butt will be the focus of this dress, as it was at her sister's wedding.

More: Kate Middleton Is Planning Pippa a Pretty Stellar Hen Party

Her venue is a bit smaller than Westminster Abbey

Pippa's ceremony will be held on May 20 at St. Mark's Church in Englefield, Berkshire — a modest little country church close to her parents' house, where her reception will be held. It's a lovely venue, and the ceremony definitely will not be broadcast to nearly every country in the world. While Kate invited nearly 2,000 guests to her nuptials, Pippa is thought to be nipping her guest list to a "mere" 400.

Kate won't be her matron of honor

It's a bit surprising, since Pippa and Kate are like peas and carrots, but Kate probably won't stand up for her sister at the wedding like Pippa did at the royal wedding. Reason? Kate doesn't want to steal the show the way Pippa's butt did on her own special day. "Kate would upstage her sister," royal expert Judy Wade told People. "If your sister is a future queen, she is going to upstage the bride and draw attention. Kate would want to be in the background as much as possible."

Kate may join their brother James for a reading, though, and we're still holding our breath for George as a ring bearer or Charlotte as a flower girl!

Bottles will be popped — lots of them

No red cups here, and you can forget the modern boho farm vibe while you're at it.

"It will be blingtastic," a source close to the couple told The Mirror. "The best champagne, Krug or Bollinger, and a specially devised champagne cocktail. Pippa and James have a penchant for Blanc de Noir Tillington 2009 from Nyetimber at £75 a bottle — and wonderful food. No expense will be spared. This isn't a bangers-and-mash, sitting-on-hay-bales affair. Pippa is hardly a floaty bohemian type."

Only a little less than two months to go until those wedding bells ring! We can’t wait to see the pics!

6 Mistakes Pet Parents Make When Trying to Put Their Pet on a Diet

Whether your vet has advised you that your pet is overweight or you've noticed that your furry friend has gained a bit too much weight recently, chances are you've considered or even tried placing your pet on a diet. Many pet parents don't realize that pet diets don't work the same way they do for us humans. So to help you out in case you do need to help your pet lose a few pounds, here are some common diet mistakes lots of pet owners unknowingly make.

More:14 small dog breeds for people who prefer the tinier things in life

Stopping all treats

We all likely realize that treats can represent a substantial source of calories if they’re given out too generously. Things get even more complicated when you realize that there is no requirement that the manufacturers of treats put the calorie count on the packaging, so you’re left in the dark when figuring out how many treats is too many treats.

But if your dog has been used to getting food rewards for performing good deeds and you stop or seriously curtail his daily treat intake, you’re likely going to have a frustrated pup, especially since you’re likely already cutting back on the amount of food you’re feeding. Consider replacing most treats with healthy foods, such as frozen broccoli florets or baby carrots. Rawhides can have a startling amount of calories, so you’ll want to cut back on or stop those altogether, but consider replacing them with something like a Kong that’s been loaded with some of his daily allotment of kibble (soak for a few minutes in a small amount of low-sodium chicken broth or water to increase volume) and then frozen. These treats are tasty and provide a welcome diversion for a substantial period of time.

Not working with their veterinarian

You may think that getting your pet to lose weight is just a matter of decreasing how much you feed them until they don’t look fat anymore. But there are some really important questions to address before you embark on a weight-loss journey, and without having some solid answers and a good plan, you might become frustrated, which may predispose you and your pet to failure before you even get started.

Get your vet to help you figure out exactly how much weight your dog needs to lose, then have a look together at the food you’re going to feed or have them recommend one. That way, you can understand the amount of calories each cup or can of food contains. Your vet can even compute your pet’s daily calorie needs based on current weight and activity levels and then adjust downward for weight loss.

It’s also good to have your veterinarian on board at the start to ensure that you’re not mistaking routine chubbiness for an actual medical problem. Also, your veterinarian can guide you regarding what is a safe rate of weight loss for a cat — most experts agree that about 1 pound per month is safe — since rapid weight loss can increase the chance of fatty liver syndrome, a dangerous and potentially fatal condition.

Forcing too much exercise

In older dogs especially, osteoarthritis is common. A decrease in activity caused by the joint pain of arthritis may be what led to the weight gain in the first place or perhaps at least contributed to the problem.

Your first inclination may be to put your dog into some sort of homegrown boot camp program, but it’s best to take it easy at first. Forcing exercise for extended periods or exercise that it too strenuous in nature may predispose your overweight dog to injuries that will sideline him for several days or even weeks, slowing down weight loss even more. Start with three to four brisk 20- to 30-minute walks per day, and once the weight starts coming off, you can consider beginning some jogging and games of fetch or chuck-it in a secure setting.

Giving in to those big brown eyes

If you’ve ever had to put yourself on a diet, you know how difficult it can be to sustain the willpower it takes to stick to the foods that you need to eat to get to a healthy weight. But the difficulty factor goes up by several points when you’re asked to limit what your dog or cat gets every day.

But be firm. It’s especially important to resist the urge to feed a bite or two of calorically dense “human” food from the table, as pets quickly learn how easy it is to play us and get what they want. Stick to the program, and you’ll see the rewards soon enough.

Eyeballing food measurements

In the veterinary clinic, when we ask owners how much food they fed, they’ll say, “a cup,” or “about a cup,” but when pressed to identify said cup, they’ll often admit that it’s actually a coffee cup or a Big Gulp cup, or a vessel that holds waaaaaaaay more food than a standard measuring cup.

As I mentioned above, getting your veterinarian on your pet’s weight loss team is a key success factor, not only because he can help you to determine what your pet’s ideal weight is, but also because he can calculate a food volume that will help you to understand exactly how much food you can feed to get the desired results.

Feeding only dry food to your overweight cat

Dry kibble is similar to the bag of chips or can of nuts that you may or may not have been known to reach the bottom of while hanging out on the couch on a given Saturday afternoon. Canned food is around 70 percent moisture, so not only do cats get a beneficial dose of hydration when they eat it, they are also likely to feel full sooner than they would eating a comparable volume of dry food.

Canned food can be a bit inconvenient, for sure, so if you can’t feed it at every meal out of concern for keeping the food fresh, consider feeding one meal of canned food at dinner when you’re more likely to be around and can take the portion up that doesn’t get finished after an hour or so.

Science Proves You Right: There Is a Connection Between Sex & Pillow Talk

A series of studies focused solely on proving that there was a correlation between sex and the pillow talk that tends to follow.

“Results showed that merely thinking about sex, even without being aware of it, encouraged self-disclosure,” one study claims.

The study, which was titled "Sex Unleashes Your Tongue", found that any range of sexual stimuli — talking about sex, seeing sexual images or engaging in sex — all lead to an increased likelihood of other kinds of intimacy.

The benefits of talking before, after and during sex have often been linked to healthier relationships.

A study published in Fertility and Sterility, for instance, found that talking about sexual dysfunction could lead to similar improvements as actual medication would.

“Clearly the fact that the women thought more about their sexuality and spoke with their partners about sex during the course of the study in itself brought about measurable improvements,” study author Michaela Bayerle-Eder said in a press release according to Glamour.

Meghan Markle Was Super Stealthy at Pippa Middleton's Wedding

Pippa Middleton tied the knot this weekend in a lavish ceremony, but it seems all anyone wants to know is, "Where was Meghan Markle?"

More: Kate Middleton Is Planning Pippa a Pretty Stellar Hen Party

You see, Markle, Prince Harry's girlfriend and maybe soon-to-be wife, was trying to do the honorable thing and let the bride shine on her big day.

As such, E! News has confirmed that Markle skipped the ceremony at St. Mark's Church in England but joined in for the festivities at the reception. I mean, the reception's the good part of any wedding anyhow. Especially when it's a royal-type wedding and there's all those long prayers to contend with.

"Right now Harry and Meghan are leaning towards not wanting to attract extra attention, especially on a day that's not about them," an insider told E! News of Markle and Prince Harry's plans ahead of the ceremony. "It takes the pressure off."

More: How to Dodge Questions About Your Significant Other, as Taught by Prince Harry

Meanwhile, Prince Harry went stag to the ceremony before meeting up with his lady later on in the evening.

While People reported that the majority of guests were shuttled from the church to the reception in Range Rovers, Prince Harry picked Markle up himself for the reception at the Middleton family home.

Prince Harry was far from the only royal in attendance at the ceremony. Prince William and Kate Middleton were there, of course, as was Princess Eugenie. Prince George was a page boy for the ceremony and Princess Charlotte served as a flower girl.

No doubt, Prince Harry and Markle got some great ideas from Pippa for their own ceremony. Though the couple has yet to announce an engagement, rumor has it that it won't be long now.

If Donald Trump can be president, then Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is more than qualified for the job. While the masses may agree, according to a new PPP poll, Johnson himself isn't sure if he's up for the job. Way to crush all of our hopes and dreams!

"I don’t know if I would make a good president," Johnson admitted in an interview with Good Morning America. "I know that I have a certain skill set, and I think it’s in that skill set that people see and that people would want me to run."

He added, "And I also think that’s reflective of them wanting to see a better leadership happen right now."

I'm going to go ahead and pretend that Johnson is just trying to be humble as he amps up his plans to garner campaign donations ahead of his 2020 campaign announcement.

Wishful thinking?

Perhaps. But Johnson still has plenty of time to see the light and realize that America needs him. Does he have foreign policy experience? Well, I mean, he's shot movies in all sorts of exotic locales. Does he have military experience? He did spend a healthy chunk of his career fake-beating men to the ground. What about his economic policies, you ask? He's rich. He's clearly done something right.

All in all, I'd say he's got all the bases covered.

Plus — and this is a big plus — he's actually a likable guy. He's got some serious charm and charisma, unlike our current commander in chief.

5 Ways Breast Cancer Taught Me to Manage My Chronic Stress

$

I had it all: a great job, a terrific husband and an awesome kid. I was killing it. Except I wasn’t. My life was passing me by, and I knew it, but couldn’t seem to do anything about it.

I didn’t sleep well either because I was always worrying about something or because I just didn’t feel all that well. I had a hunch that something was wrong, but didn’t know what.

I knew that my work had a lot to do with it. I am an OB-GYN, and becoming one was both a life dream and the hardest job in and of itself. Over 10 years, there were extremely long hours that while gratifying at first, eventually shifted until I was completely miserable.

More: 5 Important ways to protect yourself from stress

And then I found a lump. I wasn’t looking for it and how I found it was completely coincidental. I was kneeling to pick up something off the floor when my breast squashed between my knee and my chest wall, and there it was. It was big, an inch at least, particularly as it seemed to have come out of nowhere.

My initial reaction was one of complete denial. I thought to myself that this couldn’t be anything bad. I’m too young and healthy. I ate well, exercised, had no significant family history that would contribute to this being anything more than a cyst.

I knew what a cyst felt like though, and this wasn’t a cyst.

After an evaluation that included an exam, ultrasound, mammogram and biopsy, my worst fears were confirmed — I had breast cancer.

More: Is This Bra the Future of Cancer Detection?

Within an hour of finding out while at work, I walked out and never went back. I could not take care of other people while in the midst of my own health crisis; I needed to heal myself.

To do that, I had to make some changes. What changes did I make to feel happier and healthier than I did before cancer?

Reduce stress factors

Easier said than done, of course. For starters, I quit my job. That job as an OB-GYN, the one that I had worked so hard to achieve, was making me miserable and sick. I couldn’t fathom subjecting my body to more stress than it was already going to go through. I know quitting may not be possible for everyone, but try to hack your schedule as much as possible so that stress reduction becomes a nonnegotiable for you.

Sleep

I respect the need for sleep, and now I’m able to prioritize getting enough of it. For me, both quitting a job that kept me up at night and setting up a sleep schedule helped normalize my sleep habits. If you’re going to try implementing a sleep schedule, ensure that you have at least seven hours to sleep and that you’re going to bed and waking up every day at the same time.

Meditate

I struggle with this one, which means it’s one I learned to be extra intentional about. Every morning, I RPM: rise, pee, meditate. Doing it first thing is a good start to my day because if I don’t, I will forget. If you need some guiding on the meditation front, try Headspace or Inscape — both apps that you can download to your phone!

Be mindful

This is a catch phrase of the health and wellness community. For me, it is a reminder to live in the present. Before my breast cancer diagnosis, I knew my life was passing me by, yet I couldn’t seem to stop and smell the roses. Now, by reminding myself of the things I have, I can slow down and enjoy them.

More: What happens after a breast cancer diagnosis?

Write

During my treatment for breast cancer four years ago, a common piece of advice was to write in a journal. At first, I would complain about all the lousy things that happen when you’re getting chemotherapy, but after a short time, I found I did not want to complain anymore. After this shift, I started writing about some negative things, but would always end up finding the positive.

These are five of the things I did to heal myself, but they aren’t the only way to heal yourself or combat stress.

It has now been four years since my breast cancer diagnosis, and I can confirm that the course of my life was completely changed. The vast majority of those changes have all been for the best, and I have the rest of my life to be grateful.

The SNL Season Finale Included Dwayne Johnson Making a Presidential Bid

It was no surprise that the Season 42 SNL finale ended with a bang. It was a celebration of the season that has passed while looking ahead to the future and saying goodbye to the two departing cast members: Bobby Moynihan and Vanessa Bayer. The person to lead it all was Dwayne Johnson, the former WWE wrestler turned actor, who became a five-time host with the Season 42 finale.

Dwayne Johnson monologue

Dwayne Johnson monologue

Johnson opened with a monologue in which he confronted rumors that he wants to run for office by announcing his intention to run for President of the United States in 2020. Who would be at his side? Of course it would be Tom Hanks, who, they quipped, Americans like as much as pizza. Confetti rained from the sky as the pair raised each other's hands as the audience cheered. We swear that it was looking pretty palatable to us, especially when Johnson mentioned he was worried about his lack of experience until Trump won.

Johnson was also awarded his five-timer smoking jacket by Alec Baldwin before the sketches began.

More: Dwayne Johnson Shares Inspiring Story of his Battle with Depression

The show then started in earnest, with most scenes involving Johnson, Moynihan, and Bayer. Some were weaker, like a fart-based skit where the laugh relied on, yep, farts. But others showed SNL in top form, like when Johnson and Moynihan played WWE wrestlers KoKo WatchOut and Trashyard Mutt.

The two entertainers trade insults for a match promo, but KoKo WatchOut quickly takes things too personal.

The Trump administration said goodbye in the cold open

It was fitting that the cold open featured Alec Baldwin and his impression of President Donald Trump, a role that has defined the season of SNL and that will surely win the actor at least an Emmy nomination. Baldwin sat at the piano and sang "Hallelujah," a callback to earlier in the season when Kate McKinnon's Hillary Clinton sang the song after the candidate's loss in November.

hallelujah cold open

hallelujah cold open

Baldwin was joined by the other key characters from this season (and from the administration) including Kellyanne Conway (McKinnon), Ivanka Trump (Scarlett Johansson), Melania Trump (Cecily Strong), Eric Trump (Alex Moffat), and Donald Jr. (Mikey Day). Even Sarah Huckabee Sanders (Aidy Bryant) showed up, along with Steve Bannon, played as always by Death.

This was one of a couple of small moments (another was during Weekend Update) that the cast seemed to imply that the administration wouldn't be around to make fun of in the fall. Either that, or perhaps Baldwin and other key characters wouldn't be back to continue the weekly political flouncing in Season 43. We will have to wait and see what happens between now and the fall.

SNL says goodbye to two long-time cast members

Bobby Moynihan and Vanessa Bayer both announced that they are departing the show, and tonight was as much about them as it was Dwayne Johnson and politics. Both long-time cast members were featured heavily in the night, and both were able to reprise their most memorable characters.

Bobby Moynihan showed up on Weekend Update as Drunk Uncle, everyone's least favorite person to sit next to at Thanksgiving. The racist, pro-Trump, slurring sweater-wearing, ranting uncle pontificated on a variety of subjects, from social media to politics to fidget spinners. We will miss him, in a way.

Bayer SNL weather lady

Bayer played a large number of roles, but none quite so wonderful as weather woman Dawn Lazarus, who chirps and coos her way through the forecast in a barely-understandable mix of sentence fragments and botched sayings. We will miss her in all ways.

Everything We Know About The Bachelorette Heading Into the Season 13 Premiere

Rachel Lindsay's season of The Bachelorette premieres Monday, May 22 and it looks like Season 13 will be a Bachelor Nation show like we've never seen before.

Not only because Lindsay is the first black female Bachelorette in the show's history, but also because Lindsay is maybe the most mature and ready-to-find love star the show has ever seen. At 31, she is the oldest Bachelorette to lead the show since Trista Sutter, who was also 31 when she took on the title as the first Bachelorette. She also has a serious career as an attorney and brings a maturity to the show that makes it clear she's serious about finding a life partner.

More: Gut Reactions to Bachelorette Rachel Lindsay's Men

Of course, just because Lindsay is serious and mature doesn't mean all of her guys will follow suit. In true Bachelor fashion, there will be tears, laughs and, oh yes, drama.

1. Rumor has it, Lindsay is unhappy

There's been a disheartening rumor circulating the interwebs that Lindsay is disappointed in her crop of men since they don't all seem to take the show as seriously as she does. I mean, there's always going to be some guys in it for the wrong reasons since that amps up the drama, but hopefully all of these guys aren't total duds.

2. Chris Harrison introduced the guys

It seems that in an effort to dissuade the rumors that Lindsay's guys aren't serious, Chris Harrison himself took to Facebook to personally introduce each of the 31 guys competing for Lindsay's heart in Season 13. He was sure to use confidence-boosting words like "mature" and "serious" and "older" to ease our fears that ABC had failed Lindsay.

3. Lindsay won't shy away from talking race

Lindsay told Entertainment Tonight, "With the guys, you know, if it's something new to them, then I want to talk about it the same way that I [wanted] to talk to Nick about it: 'Have you ever dated a black woman before?' I'll talk about my experiences as well. You know, it's about me, too, but I don't want it to be something that defines our relationship. But I think it's something important to address."

4. That guy in a penguin suit

The show won't be all serious discussion. Lindsay will definitely be having some fun along the way, starting on night one when one of her suitors, Matt, shows up wearing a penguin suit.

5. There will be a lot of star power

Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, Ellen DeGeneres and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar will all guest star on Season 13.

6. There will be a lot of man tears

Yes, these guys are strong, confidence, successful, good looking men. But it wouldn't be The Bachelorette if the show didn't just completely break some of them. Ouch.

7. Corinne is comin' back!

Need I say more. The queen of Nick's season will be making an appearance to help her girl figure out her man situation. I kinda hope that Corinne is just a constant presence this season because she just excels at making good television.

The tears emerged at the very end of the song, as the audience cheered wildly. Overcome with emotion, Cyrus was clearly touched by how much the crowd loved her new song. Perez Hilton can snark all he wants, but we're loving the new and improved Miley Cyrus. That's not to say there was anything wrong with Bangerz Miley, but it takes courage to admit that a previous path wasn't working and to return to your roots, no matter how much you scoffed at them previously. Kudos to Cyrus for being true to herself.

Celine Dion Dominated the BBMAs with Her Emotional Titanic Throwback

How in the world has it already been two decades since Titanic's release?!

More: Miley Cyrus' Emotional Comeback Brought All the Feels to the BBMAs

Thankfully, no matter how much time passes, Celine Dion is always fabulous, as she proved during tonight's remarkable Billboard Music Awards performance. Dion took the stage with her iconic hit, "My Heart Will Go On," which, as you may recall, was all the rage in 1997. It generates just as much of a response today as it did then, however, in part because we're all so nostalgic for the late 90s.

It doesn't hurt that Dion is, as always, exceptionally talented. She took command of the BBMAs stage, demonstrating that age has done nothing to diminish her natural talent. Her voice was powerful, yet soft and gentle when it needed to be.

Dion could easily carry an awards show performance with nothing other than her magnificent set of pipes, but she didn't have to tonight, as she was accompanied by an impressive backdrop. Decked out in a gorgeous white gown, she was surrounded by crystals (which, from a distance, resembled a jellyfish) as she sang. In the background, memorable clips from Titanic played, including Leonardo DiCaprio shouting, "I'm king of the world!"

Twitter users absolutely adored Dion's performance, as we knew they would. The following is just a small sample of the many tweets that Dion inspired:

It was clearly an emotional moment for Dion, who suffered the loss of both her husband and her brother last year. She channeled her grief into her performance, and afterwards, enjoyed a full minute of applause. If half an hour of applause had been possible, we're sure she would have received it.

A few similarities link Celine Dion and Titanic. Both are timeless, and both can effortlessly generate so much emotion. The combination of these two 90s icons was exactly what we needed during tonight's Billboard Music Awards. We can only hope Dion will take the stage again next year.

Every Mom Can Relate to Kate Middleton After Pippa's Wedding

Pippa Middleton may have been the belle of the ball during this weekend's nuptials, but her royal sister has certainly not been forgotten. She may no longer be the blushing bride, but Kate still manages to steal the show, even as she keeps children in line.

Kate was as gorgeous as ever, albeit not dressed in white this time. She donned a very proper (but much maligned and supposedly matronly) peach gown, and, of course, an event-appropriate hat.

In the past, the majority of the Kate chatter would have revolved around her outfit, but this time, she attracted far more attention with her childcare duties. She was in charge of several children, who were, as expected, rather unruly at times. This is Princess Kate we're talking about, so of course, she was cool and composed at all times.

Okay, almost all times.

At one point during the wedding, Kate's youthful charges got a little out of control, prompting a shushing right before they all entered the church. She eventually went far beyond shushing and outright glared at the little troublemakers. The internet loved the glaring photo, of course, because it proves that difficult kids can get the best of everyone — even a seemingly perfect Duchess.

A source later told E! News, "When the children were at the archway, Kate stepped in to keep them under control and crouched down to speak to George and Charlotte."

The Duchess of Cambridge was by no means the only Middleton sister to look super cute while interacting with a gaggle of children. The kiddos also surrounded Pippa at times. In one especially touching photo of the occasion, youngsters gathered around both siblings, with Kate beaming at her sister all the while.

In just a few minutes, Kate Middleton demonstrated the full gamut of emotions that moms experience, including joy, concern, and extreme annoyance. Ultimately, however, while her face occasionally made her emotions evident to the world, she remained as gorgeous as ever, all while keeping several children in line. It's not an easy job, but if anybody can tackle it, it's the Duchess of Cambridge.

John Oliver Dumbs Down Trump Fiasco With 'Stupid Watergate' Explanation

It can be difficult to keep track of the seemingly never-ending controversy surrounding Donald Trump's presidency. With breaking news hitting every day, following all of the twists and turns is a daunting task.

Luckily, Last Week Tonight with John Oliver does a great job of recapping complex political manueverings, and doing so in a way that makes it all easy to understand. That's exactly what happened tonight as the show tackled the modern day version of Watergate, appropriately named "Stupid Watergate."

Originally, Oliver planned to cover the TSA, and against all odds, he managed to deliver a three-minute version of what should have been a half hour diatribe. He devoted the remainder of the episode to Stupid Watergate, not because he wanted to, but because it would be impossible to not cover such a circus. Not to mention, there are some pressing questions that warrant exploration, including, most importantly: "Is this real life?"

In case you've been hiding under a rock or otherwise missed all that's happened this past week, here's a quick overview:

On Monday, we learned that President Trump may have shared classified information with top Russian officials, although, of course, Vladimir Putin vehemently denies this. The next day, it came out that Trump had previously asked James Comey to stop investigating Michael Flynn.

After all this, Trump delivered a speech to cadets that essentially consisted of him whining about being bullied. He claimed that no politician in history has been treated worse. As Oliver pointed out, several presidents have been shot, so Trump's complaint doesn't hold much sway.

If all that's not bad enough, all signs point to Trump referring to Comey as a "nut job" in front of Russian officials. He also reportedly told his guests that firing Comey has taken off a great deal of pressure.

The "shortest possible summation of last week's events" lasted nearly half the episode, but eventually Oliver was able to move on to why all this is so important: it's highly indicative of obstruction of justice, making impeachment a real possibility.

As Oliver reminds us, impeachment won't make things all rosy in the United States. Remember, Mike Pence is next in line. In other words, it's going to be a tough few years, no matter what happens.

OK, OK — we know; the antiaging thing is getting a bit crazy. Just when you wrapped your head around the facts of retinol, like what it is, how to use it and why it’s going to be your BFF for the rest of your life until you die (no, seriously, it is), you’re smacked with news of antiaging blushantiaging oils and now, antiaging neck products. Does every single part of your body really need a targeted antiaging treatment? Is this all a marketing scam? Am I supposed to use these? The answer to all of these is, surprisingly, no.

No, you don’t need to use any antiaging products on any part of your body if you don’t want to. We’re all about aging gracefully and naturally, and if you’re cool with your fine lines and wrinkles, then we are too. But if you want try to slather yourself in gravity-fighting ingredients, then we’ve got your back (and front and face and neck…). Because antiaging neck creams are, in fact, a thing, and they’re not a scam — at least not totally.

“For the multitaskers out there, an additional neck cream may not be necessary,” says Yale dermatologist and all-around skin guru Mona Gohara. “If you’re already using a retinol or antiaging cream on your face, just spread the wealth and smooth it over your neck too.” However, if you’re already bad at keeping a consistent antiaging routine for your face or you just forget that you have a neck sometimes, Gohara does recommend a separate neck cream to “serve as a friendly reminder that your neck is there and needs love too.” So with that in mind, we rounded up the absolute best cult-favorite neck creams that truly, seriously work. Massage them from your clavicles to your jawline, and in just 50 short years, you’ll notice you look way younger than every other member of your nursing home. Congrats!
