Ranking of All the Times the Real Housewives Were Shady Ice Queens

0
0

It's no secret the Real Housewives know a thing or two about shade. Over the years and as seasons continue, it seems like the women develop even more impressive shade skills. They definitely aren't afraid to channel their inner mean girl.

More: Real Housewives Rundown: The Women Ranked From Least to Most Dramatic

That brings us to this much-needed ranking of all the times the Housewives were shady ice queens. Of course, there are an infinite amount of these specific moments, making it impossible to list all of them. So, we're including some of the most memorable ones that fans will never forget — and some of our favorites.

As you'll notice, several moments from the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 7 scored quite a few of the top spots. That's not because it's our favorite (we're a little partial to Real Housewives of New York City), but the California-based women were absolutely on fire with their shade this past season. How could we not mention them?

It's unbelievable how much shade a group of women can throw, but Real Housewives wouldn't be the same without it, that's for sure. Now, let's get to this very important ranking.

How to Care for Your Dog's Teeth at Any Age

0
0

Before I sat down to write this article, I brushed my dog's teeth. It took me less than two minutes, and yet still there are days where I occasionally forget or think, “I am too tired,” or “I don’t have enough time.”

These are, of course, excuses.

Brushing your dog’s teeth is the easiest thing you can do to keep your dog healthy and lower your veterinary bills. Sure, you will probably still have to get your dog’s teeth cleaned every once in a while, but the difference between a regular cleaning and having multiple teeth pulled is kind of like the difference between going to your dentist for a cleaning versus getting a root canal without dental insurance.

It hurts, and it is expensive.

Here is how you can care for your dog’s teeth at any age to prevent gum disease and improve their stinky breath.

Caring for puppy teeth

The best (and worst) thing about puppies is how impressionable they are. If you play your cards right when your dog is a puppy, she will love getting her teeth brushed just as much as she loves going on walks and chasing balls.

Veterinarian Gary Clemons of Milford Animal Hospital in Ohio advises that the critical age to start brushing a puppy’s teeth is between eight and sixteen weeks. This, he says, “will make the job easier when he is an adult.”

So how do you convince your new puppy that teeth-brushing is the best idea since tennis balls?

The American Animal Hospital Association, the accreditation body that oversees American veterinary hospital standards, has a few recommendations.

  • Begin gradually, rubbing a finger dipped into beef bullion gently along your dog’s gums
  • Gradually introduce a piece of gauze followed by a toothbrush designed for pets or an ultra-soft child’s toothbrush
  • Reward with treats
  • Make sure to focus on the gum line, as this is where plaque and infection build up
  • Use a toothpaste intended for dogs, and do not use human toothpaste or baking soda, as these will upset your dog’s stomach
  • Work your dog up to a full brushing slowly and be very gentle. Forcing your dog or causing discomfort will make teeth-brushing an unpleasant experience

These training tips can be applied to dogs of any age and can help dogs who are extra excited about teeth-brushing calm down.

More: Keep your puppy healthy with this vaccination schedule

Puppyhood is also a great time to get your dog hooked on chewing by providing lots of age- and size-appropriate chew toys. Chewing helps dogs keep their teeth clean naturally, so pick up a variety of toys to see which your dog prefers.

Dental care for adults

Teeth-brushing should be a lifelong habit for both you and your dog. The best way to make sure your dog has healthy teeth is to brush her teeth at least once a day.

There are a few toothbrush options out there. Some dogs prefer rubber finger brushes, which always remind me of finger puppets and prompted some embarrassing wannabe puppeteer moments that even my dogs judged. Others like toothbrushes. You should always use a soft, small-headed toothbrush for pets, but this is especially true for small-breed dogs. Sticking a big old toothbrush in their mouths will be uncomfortable for them, and they will learn to dislike the entire process.

More: Homemade dog treats that will freshen your pup's breath

Doggy toothpaste comes in several flavors, from peanut butter to a whole lot of meat. My dog's eyes get as round as saucers when I break out the tube no matter the flavor, but other dogs are pickier. If your dog has a food allergy, talk to your veterinarian about the best toothpaste for dogs with food allergies.

Adult dogs, like puppies, need to chew, but not all dogs enjoy this activity. If your dog does not like toys, you can always buy chewing treats designed to keep their teeth clean or feed a commercial dental diet designed to help clean their teeth as they eat. Several brands carry dental diets, and there are prescription diets available for dogs with serious issues with their chompers.

Adulthood is also the time to start thinking about professional teeth-cleaning. Your veterinarian will advise you about the best time for your dog to get a dental cleaning, and they will also examine your dog’s mouth during regular visits to make sure there is nothing abnormal going on in there.

Caring for senior dog teeth

Like us, dogs' teeth tend to deteriorate with age. Dental disease and a lifetime of chewing on anything from sticks to rocks can lead to painful mouths, loose or missing teeth and downright rank dog breath.

More: Life with a dog doesn't have to include bad doggy breath

As with puppies and adults, continue to brush your dog’s aging teeth, but be on the lookout for loose teeth, bleeding gums, sensitivity to cold water or difficulty eating, as these could all be signs that your senior dog needs some veterinary intervention.

Many owners of senior pets worry about putting their senior dogs under anesthesia for a dental cleaning. Dr. Marty Becker, a veterinarian writing for Vetstreet, has a few words of reassurance. “With safety measures in place, anesthetic risk is minimized to the extent that the benefits of dental care more than outweigh the concerns, no matter the age of your pet.”

These safety measures include prescreening tests and the extensive care and monitoring that takes place during every procedure involving general anesthesia. While there is always a risk anytime an animal or person goes under, the benefits of having a clean, healthy mouth are almost always worth it.

Dental care for a better life

Periodontal disease can cause your dog pain and increase stress on their internal organs, shortening their lifespans and leading to potentially dangerous complications. You can help your dog avoid these pitfalls by following these tips for keeping your dog’s teeth healthy from puppyhood into her golden years.

Barbra Streisand's Making Bold Claims About Sexism at the Oscars

Barbra Streisand is the damn definition of a strong woman: She knows exactly what she's worth, and she doesn't pull any punches about it.

More: Jimmy Fallon Eases Barbra Streisand's Nerves, Gives Her the Desk (VIDEO)

During an interview at the Tribeca Film Festival on Saturday, Streisand said out loud what a lot of people think but don't have the guts to actually verbalize, and what even more people wrongly think isn't a thing: She's missed out on Oscar nominations because she's a woman, and sexism is alive and well and total bullshit. Shots fired by the queen!

The two films Streisand pointed to in particular were the ones she directed, Yentl and The Prince of Tides. Both films were well received, but Streisand was snubbed for director awards for both of them.

"I must have been more hurt than I thought, because I didn’t want to direct for years," she said. Streisand added that she felt like she didn't have much of a voice as a director, but she hopes she opened the door for other women to direct.

More: Barbra Streisand Takes a Stand for Women's Rights in Israel

"Not enough women are directing now," she said. "I love when I see a woman’s name on the film, and then I want to see it be good."

Other women in Hollywood were part of the problem for her, though. "I don’t know how many women wanted to see a woman director," she explained, adding that jealousy and competitiveness meant that women in the industry weren't very supportive of one another, and female critics were harsher toward her than their male counterparts.

None of the female critics "talked about what the movie was trying to say," Streisand said. "It was not about what the movie was about — a celebration of women and all they could be."

Val Kilmer Finally Just Admitted He Had Cancer

We finally have some closure in the strange mystery that is Val Kilmer's cancer diagnosis.

More: Val Kilmer Offloads a Big Chunk of His New Mexico Ranch

Rumors have been flying for years that the Top Gun star was battling some sort of health issue. He was spotted at hospitals and had essentially disappeared from the public eye, prompting speculation about his health. Then, Michael Douglas slipped up and told reporters that his friend Kilmer had terminal throat cancer. Kilmer proceeded to flat-out deny that, saying Douglas was "misinformed."

Still, it's been pretty much common knowledge that Kilmer has been battling, if not cancer, then something. His repeated insistence that he was in good health was bizarre, TBH.

More: Celebrities Who Don't Pay Their Taxes

Finally, though, Kilmer admitted the truth. During a Reddit AMA, he was asked about the rumors, his denial and Michael Douglas.

"A while ago, Michael Douglas claimed you had terminal cancer," one Reddit user wrote. "What was the story behind that?"

Kilmer's answer? "He was probably trying to help me cause press probably asked where I was these days, and I did have a healing of cancer, but my tongue is still swollen altho healing all the time. Because I don’t sound my normal self yet people think I may still be under the weather."

More: Ex-Wife: Val Kilmer Is a Deadbeat Dad

A "healing of cancer." So Kilmer did have cancer. But, apparently, it wasn't terminal after all? Unless he's still sick and still trying to deny it? But why is Kilmer so hell-bent on keeping people from knowing about his cancer? He's definitely an eccentric guy, so maybe this is just more Val Kilmer being Val Kilmer. Still, we wish we knew the truth so we could send him some healing vibes.

Dunkin' Donuts Releases Frozen Coffee to Replace Coolattas

Some Dunkin' Donuts fans were bummed when the coffee chain recently announced the decision to phase out its decadent frozen Coffee Coolatta treat. Those people may or may not be glad to hear that Dunkies is replacing the sugar- and cream-laden, calorie-packed Coolatta with a comparable but less over-the-top menu item: Frozen Dunkin' Coffee.

Frozen Dunkin' Coffee is available starting today and is made with a special extract featuring 100 percent Arabica coffee blended with ice and dairy. Feeling torn about whether or not to try it? Well, you can do so at no cost on Friday, May 19, when participating Dunkin' Donuts across the nation will offer free 3.5-ounce samples of Frozen Dunkin' Coffee from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

MoreCopycat Dunkin' Donuts jelly doughnuts

The frozen coffee can be customized with any Dunkin’ Donuts flavor swirl or shot, as well as the choice of cream or whole or skim milk. According to a press release, it still tastes creamy and rich, but is better, more modern and perhaps a tad healthier than the dessert-like Coolatta, which "wasn't good enough," and made Dunkin' think it needed to "contemporize its frozen platform."

In other words, customers were wising up to the fact that drinking a single Coolatta was the caloric equivalent of eating a bunch of donuts (and even worse sugar-wise). We'll hold off on judging until we've tasted the new concoction, but in the meantime, we have to applaud Dunkies for the idea, which seems smart and is definitely putting us even more in the mood for summer.

Is Pickle Juice Soda the Breakout Drink of the Summer?

0

Ahhh, pickle juice. That hallowed summer beverage: It's neon green, salty as hell and bursting with the fresh flavor of vinegar. At least, that's what the deranged mixologists at Grandpa Joe's Candy Shop seem to think, as they've recently created a soda that's a carbonated, sweetened pickle juice, ready just in time for summer!

More: 5 Leftover pickle juice recipes that will truly wow your guests

On a hot day, there's nothing I'd rather drink than a mouth-puckering carbonated blend of salt, vinegar and sugar. Unless my other option was LITERALLY ANYTHING ELSE. Then again, I'm married to someone who regularly mixes sweet corn soda (yep, it's a thing) with whiskey to make one of the weirdest cocktails of all time, so different strokes for different folks rings true about all things beverage-related for us.

More: Coca-Cola Plus Is a Weird New Wannabe Health Drink

The freaky new soda is sold at Grandpa Joe's (side note: of course this was invented by a grandpa) stores in Pennsylvania and Ohio for $2.50 a bottle. You can also buy it online, albeit with a steeper price tag — $10 for a bottle, $20 for three or six for $30. #WorthIt?

Lest you can't afford the lofty price (or possibly wait that long to get your hands on this sweet, vinegary nectar of gods), here's a DIY recipe: Blend and strain one jar of sweet pickle relish. Mix the liquid with an equal part club soda. Pairing suggestion: Hot dogs, hamburgers and pastrami sandwiches.

When pickle juice soda is a summer beverage option, who needs frozen coffee or Coke?

"The Duke and Duchess are very pleased to share this photograph as they celebrate Princess Charlotte's second birthday," the official statement from the palace read, as reported by E! News. "Their Royal Highnesses would like to thank everyone for all of the lovely messages they have received, and hope that everyone enjoys this photograph of Princess Charlotte as much as they do."

What makes the new photo even cuter is that Charlotte's mom, the Duchess of Cambridge formerly known as Kate Middleton, is the one who took it. It's actually become kind of a tradition for the young royal parents — Kate and Prince William — to take the kids' official portraits instead of photographers. And why not? They clearly have an eye for photography, because all the photos look amazing.

Unfortunately, we may not get more adorbs photos from Charlotte's birthday celebrations. According to People magazine, the royal family will be celebrating the occasion privately at home. Boo, Will and Kate. Don't you know we need to be updated on every aspect of your family's lives?

So we'll just have to use our imaginations to envision how cute little Charlotte's birthday party is going to be. Will she smash a cupcake all over her face? Most likely. Will she be dressed in toddler fashion that even grown-ups envy? Chances are high. Will Kate pull off the perfect party and look fabulous all the way through? You betcha.

Michael Muhney Really, Really Wants Back on The Young and the Restless

If you were an executive at CBS Daytime, what would you do about the Michael Muhney situation? The character he played on The Young and the Restless, Adam Newman, is presumed dead, but he quite possibly could be "soap opera dead," meaning a resurrection could happen at any time.

More: Daytime Soaps Are in Jeopardy as Writers Threaten to Go on Strike

With Justin Hartley gone from the role and firmly planted on NBC’s This Is Us, Muhney wants the door to reopen for him over at Y&R. He’s now asking fans to help him with his pitch on Twitter.

Muhney knows he has a strong fan base in his corner. They are supportive, vocal and are happily tweeting to the head of CBS Daytime, Angelica McDaniel as well as senior executive vice president of Sony Pictures Steven Kent and executive producer of Y&R Mal Young.

Is Muhney’s campaign too late though? We know he had a difficult relationship with co-star Eric Braeden. It seems that Braeden’s new book, I'll Be Damned, alludes to that strain in a blind-item chapter. Muhney would like a second chance to prove that he’s changed, but would producers be willing to bet on him with alleged drama like this hanging over his head?

The other struggle is a subset of fans who oppose his return and the lingering suspicion of his issues with co-star Hunter King. Those rumors were never confirmed by any party, but Muhney has denied all of the allegations.

More: Jane Elliot Is Low-Key Leaving General Hospital This Week

The other hurdle Muhney has to jump is with head writer Sally Sussman. When she returned in the fall, she said quite confidently that Adam is dead. She had no plans to resurrect that storyline even though recent developments might indicate he’s still alive.

How will this real-life soap opera end? It might be too controversial for CBS Daytime to allow for Muhney’s return unless the fans have the final word.

Christina and Tarek El Moussa Play Nice for the Cameras at the Daytime Emmys

Tarek and Christina El Moussa seem determined to keep us guessing.

If you believe the headlines that have hit since they announced their split, they're embroiled in a vicious divorce battle, each trying to one up the other with new love interests and revenge bodies. They've also reportedly made life hell for each other and the crew on the set of their HGTV show Flip or Flop, basically dooming it to be canceled.

And then they do something like this.

The El Moussas attended the Daytime Emmy Awards on Sunday together, where they strolled the red carpet hand-in-hand, posed for photos and generally seemed to have a lovely time spending time at the event at each other's sides.

Is it just a publicity stunt to quell the ever-growing fear that their days on Flip or Flop are numbered? Or have we all fed into the sensationalism surrounding their divorce and believed it to be a nasty breakup, when they're actually handling it pretty amicably?

Some of the most compelling evidence that the latter is the actual truth concerns how they seem to be nailing co-parenting their two kids, 6-year-old daughter Taylor and 20-month-old son Brayden. "We’ll be together for the rest of our lives because we have kids. We need to get along for the kids and for our sanity," Tarek told Us Weekly. "There haven’t been fights. We have fifty-fifty custody now. She’s a great mom and I like to think I’m a great dad. Sometimes she or I will say, 'I need them for an extra day or two.' We’re both flexible."

Video of Toddler Furious With Her Cheating Boyfriend Is Slaying Us

Well, Sawyer, that's what you get for stepping out on your girlfriend Mila.

Two-year-old Mila spotted her beau Sawyer talking to another little girl at the park. She and her pink toy phone were having none of Sawyer's brazen infidelity, so she let him have it on her toy phone in a video that is cracking up the internet.

Mila vs Sawyer

Mila vs Sawyer

Katie Stauffer, Mila's mom, posted the video on Instagram, where it's already scored over 231,000 views. Mila and her twin sister Emma are the ridiculously cute focus of their mom's Instagram feed. Katie is a photographer, so the twins have enjoyed doing numerous photo shoots in addition to making videos. Check them out dressing up like various duos (like Red and Piper from Orange Is the New Black, for instance).

Mila can use her words better than most grown-ups we know. We appreciate her hilariously direct style (though we're glad the message won't make it to Sawyer on her fake phone — the poor kid might never recover). But we have to wonder: Where the hell is she getting this stuff?

If you can't peek at the video now, here's a recap:

A scowling, obviously cranky Mila sets the scene before "calling" Sawyer. "I saw Sawyer in the park with another girl. I was mad. I'm calling him right now. This is ridiculous."

And hoo boy, Mila ain't messing around.

"What are you doing? Sawyer, I saw you... hey, why are you mad at me? Don't go to the park with her. I saw you. I'm so sad. Never, ever do that again."

And then: "You're nothing. I'm done with it." Oof! Cold!

She ends her tirade with, "Never, ever mess with Mila."

Fair enough, kid, but damn. Where is this hyper-precocious toddler learning to talk like this?

Mila's mom also posted a video of her discussing the annoying boy at the movie theater who was kicking the back of her seat. "REALLY BOY??" yells Mila.

mila vs boy

There's no doubt Mila speaks her mind like a champ (and more eloquently than much older kids). But hey, maybe don't grow up too fast, Mila? And cut Sawyer a little slack. He still needs naps, after all.

In a gorgeous, heartfelt post on her Facebook page, Rossum wrote, “I had a single mom. I have a single mom. This isn’t a secret. Growing up in a school — and a world — filled with mostly two parent units was difficult for me."

Rossum added, "Father’s Day still is difficult for me. I’m not really sure how to celebrate...Sometimes, I take my mom to brunch and get her a present, to show her how much I value her. She really was both a mother and a father for me. I don't like her to know that it still causes me pain — 30 years later — lest she feel somehow that she wasn't enough. She was always enough. She is enough. She wasn't perfect, no one is, but for me she was the best mom ever."

Emmy, must you ruin our mascara so early in the day? It's clear that the bond Rossum has with her mom is tight — the two are frequently photographed together despite Rossum's rigorous shooting schedule.

(All the pre-Mother's Day feels are suddenly pouring in. Hold us, please.)

Emmy's great hope is that more kids come to realize how common it is to be raised by a single parent.

She closed her post with a thank you.

“I suppose this is a public thank you note of sorts,” she wrote. “To my friends, who write me on father’s day and check in to see how I’m doing. To my therapist, who has helped me through things in my life and bolstered my spirit and self-confidence. To my mother, who was and is enough.”

Swoon.

3 Common Vaginal Conditions No One Talks About

0

While many of us have heard of some of the more extreme cases that can go on down there — endometriosis, vaginismus, yeast infections — there are still plenty of other nonthreatening conditions that can worry women.

The following three common conditions may be fairly harmless, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be briefed on what they are.

Vaginal Boils

Boils in the vaginal region are most often caused by the use of a dull razor while shaving. Certain grooming methods can cause ingrown hairs or infected hair follicles, and when left untreated, these can lead to the formation of pus-filled blisters.

It is incredibly important to change razors regularly and lather the vaginal region with a protective soapy layer prior to shaving. “Any tool you use on your body daily needs to be cleaned at least weekly, as the bathroom can be a reservoir for bacteria,” said Dr. Sherry Ross and OB-GYN in an interview with Women’s Health.

Never squeeze or try to pop an area of raised bumps or a boil, as this can further inflame the area and cause the infection to spread. Instead, apply a warm compress to the affected region to relieve discomfort and try to wear loose pants and underwear so that the area can breathe and heal.

If the boils do not heal after two weeks or begin to spread out wider than two or three fingertips, consider visiting an OB-GYN, who can prescribe antibiotics and if necessary drain the boil.

Syringoma

Syringoma presents itself when sweat ducts are blocked. These tiny benign bumps can appear not only in the vaginal region, but also on the face, chest, and underarms.

“These lesions often present as multiple small, firm, skin-colored to yellow to light brown papules,” says Dr. Deepak Ghimire, a practicing dermatologist. “Most of the lesions are asymptomatic, but they may occasionally itch or get infected.”

These bumps are harmless, so it is best to resist trying to remove or pop them, as this can cause damage to the surrounding skin. The best options are to let them heal all on their own. If they continue to grow to a size that you are uncomfortable with, you can talk to your doctor about having them removed through electrosurgery or a laser, but this may result in scarring to the affected area.

Bartholinitis (Bartholin's cyst)

This inflammatory condition occurs when the Bartholin’s glands on either side of the vaginal opening become obstructed, causing the fluid that is usually secreted by these glands to slowly accumulate. This accumulation causes a small lump to develop near the vaginal opening that can grow to be anywhere from the size of an almond to an orange.

Bartholinitis can be caused by numerous conditions: a lack of proper vaginal hygiene, wearing underwear made of synthetic fibers, excessive stress or a saturation of toxins in the body.

Though the lump may become tender and painful to the touch, it is completely harmless when treated properly.

“They can be managed with a warm compress, soaking in a tub filled with just a few inches of warm water, or by taking over-the-counter pain medication and giving it time to heal,” said Dr. Kameelah Phillips, an OB-GYN in New York City in an interview with Women’s Health.

In cases when the lump becomes infected, woman may experience extreme pain, fever and chills or trouble urinating. Known as a Bartholin abscess, an infected lump can be caused by the presence of Escherichia coli bacteria on the skin or by sexually transmitted diseases such as chlamydia and gonorrhea. Women with an infected lump can have their gynecologists drain the cyst.

Katy Perry's Barack Obama Comment Is Some Next-Level Cringe

Katy Perry's latest faux pas needs to come with a warning label for how cringey it is.

Perry been criticized for a whole bunch of erratic and problematic behavior that contradicts the level of woke she claims to be, like when she made an insensitive joke about Britney Spears' mental health crisis or when she sexually assaulted Shawn Mendes on a red carpet.

Her latest misstep? During a Q&A with fans on Facebook Live Saturday, Perry compared her old black hair to Barack Obama.

"Oh, someone says, 'I miss your old black hair,'" she read aloud during the Q&A, and then sarcastically answered, "Oh, really? Do you miss Barack Obama as well? Oh, OK. Times change. Bye! See you guys later."

"I should leave now," she said, still giggling in a super-awkward way, while someone off camera said, "OK, you're cut off."

Uh, yeah, good time to be cut off. But the damage was already done. Perry's comment had me literally screaming at my phone, "Katy, Think. Before. You. Speak." And I clearly wasn't alone, because Twitter had some things to say.

A Day in the Life of Justin Timberlake on May 1, Because 'It's Gonna Be May'

0
0

Blinking, Justin Timberlake stepped out into the light.

The grass was a perfect Technicolor green. The sky was blue, with nothing but the slightest wisps of clouds. A pair of starlings chased each other in the bright blue morning and then alighted in a blossoming tree nearby, happily chirping.

Finally, it was May 1.

It was no longer April. It was no longer "gonna be May." May was here! Justin was finally free.

May was here. It was beautiful.

T.S. Eliot had been right, even though he didn't live to see that meme. April is indeed the cruelest month. The cruelest, longest month. A month of gray rain, a month of trying to shrug off the impossible weight of winter. The month of that terrible, terrible meme.

Sure, it was funny the first time he saw it: the old "It's Gonna Be Me" music video, with its titular line, but misspelled to match how he pronounced it when he sang it: May. People would start posting it around mid-April, and it would work itself up into an internet crescendo by April 30.

The first time he saw it, he laughed out loud. The second time, he chuckled. The third time, he smiled. The fourth time, he admits he was a little annoyed. Five years down the road, he had resorted to locking himself in his home like Howard Hughes until May Day, the shades drawn, his modem unplugged and dark.

"It's gonna be May."

It had been 17 years since he sang that line. Seventeen years! Justin was blessed, he knew. Blessed with an undeniable talent, blessed with a long, successful and lucrative career from a young age. But fame had its challenges and its downsides. His breakups had been broadcast across the world, his struggles were exaggerated and sold to tabloids — many were fabricated altogether. But nothing had been as hard as this.

So much had changed since then too. The rise and fall of 'NSYNC, the invention of smartphones, his solo career, lots of new flavors of Hot Pockets, his acting career, Jessica, Silas. But still, the line echoed, not only in his head, but across American culture.

"It's gonna be May."

Now, shaking off the memories, Justin walked down the sidewalk and entered a small café he liked. It had been three weeks since he dared to step outside his home. April was spent inside in the dark, avoiding the meme. Now, though, he could go out into the world.

"I'd like a 16-ounce Americano, please," he said to the barista. Maybe she would ask for his autograph or maybe she would just tell him that she was a big fan.

But she didn't. Instead, she said, "May I get you anything else?" And then she started laughing at her own joke, head tossed back, utterly filled with joy.

"No! Nothing else! You've done enough!" he stammered and collected his coffee with shame.

He sat down at a table at the back of the café and turned on his phone for the first time since mid-April. He had had 370,000 Instagram notifications, over a million Facebook messages. He had shut out his friends, his loved ones, even his agents and managers, all to avoid seeing the meme. Now he could venture online, without seeing the meme, he thought.

Of course, there it was still. Not to mention spinoff memes. It was everywhere, mocking him. He threw his phone down as if it were aflame. He should have waited another day. Maybe two.

Maybe.

Meeby.

Surely he was going mad.

Why had he said "May" instead of "me"? Why?

To be fair, it was a smash hit, an international phenomenon. He was beloved. The song was beloved. The music video was beloved. The way he said "me" was beloved. Then about five years ago, the meme had come. The meme had come and everything changed. It was so relentless. It was like meme torture. And what had he been doing with his hair back then? He couldn't bare to look at it any longer.

He got up from his table, leaving his phone behind, and pushed out through the door back into the sunshine. It seemed colder than it had before. The sky seemed to have dulled.

He passed an old woman on the sidewalk. Surely this elderly woman didn't know who he was or what a meme was. He made eye contact with her, searching for a friendly face. She looked at him and gave him an impish smile.

"Happy Me Day, Justin" she said, and gave a cruel cackle as she swept by him.

His soaring heart crashed. Why had he sung May? Why? It made no sense! It was senseless!

Perhaps tomorrow would be better. May 2. Or the day after that. But even if it weren't, there was still hope. If he could just hold on, just for a few more weeks, everything would be fine. In a few weeks, he thought, it's gonna be June.

No big deal, Beyoncé just slays harder pregnant than most of us do not pregnant. No need to, like, develop a complex about it or anything (too late). The only downside here is that, by our best calculations based on bump size/pregnancy announcement time, she should be popping those twins out of the oven any day now. The upside? Two more baby Carters in the world. 2017, you're too good.

Law & Order: SVU Fans — the Time Has Come for a Stabler & Benson Reunion

Law and Order: SVU fans, it's been a long, tough six years slogging through seasons that were just plain forgettable because we no longer have the incredible partnership that made the show so great to begin with: Benson and Stabler.

More: Stabler and Benson's Law & Order: SVU Chemistry Was Hot Off-Screen Too

Sure, we've dealt with it, because the show's storylines are just too compelling for an all-out boycott. But that doesn't mean we've been happy about only having one half of that duo ever since Christopher Meloni left after the 12th season.

We've been practically begging for an on-screen reunion since then. And could it be that our cries have been heard? Could Meloni actually reunite with his on-screen partner, Mariska Hargitay, and make all our SVU dreams come true?

More: 5 Stars Who've Been Ripped Off at the Emmys

Well, nothing is really in the works yet. But. BUT. If he were asked, Meloni probably wouldn't say no, so that's a step in the right direction, right?

"I have always said I would be open to it," he told Entertainment Tonight at the NRDC Stand Up for the Planet Benefit in Los Angeles on Tuesday. "[The] circumstances have to be right, that is all."

Uh, the circumstances were right from the moment Meloni and Hargitay graced our TV screens together with their palpable chemistry, thank you very much.

Meloni added, "We will see [if I return for the series finale]. It has never been brought up to me, so that is the kind of question that's kind of out of my hands."

You hear that, producers? We want this. He wants this. You know what you have to do. For the love of all our 18 years of SVU fandom, make. It. Happen.

Trader Joe's Debuts Canned Wine Just in Time for Summer

Nothing says "summer" like drinking outdoors, and this year, Trader Joe's has got us covered. I'm not talking about Two Buck Chuck (it's been a few years since the last time I chugged from a bottle of TBC while enjoying the great outdoors, thank God). It's even better than that. Trader Joe's just came out with Simpler Wines, four-packs of canned sparkling Italian wine that sell for — wait for it — just $3.99.

More: 15 Absurd wine accessories you won’t believe exist

The packs come in white wine and rosé, which makes sense because rosé and all things "millennial pink" (including pineapples) are so hot right now. The packaging is totally on point too: a cool blue tone for the white wine and a rosy pink for the rosé, both of which make for attractive accessories along with your picnic blanket or beach towel.

More: 7 reasons Aldi is even better than Trader Joe's

The cans are easier to carry around than heavy glass bottles, and easier to recycle too — not to mention that there will be no buzzkill if (er, when) you forget the bottle opener.

There's a pretty huge downside, though. Simpler Wines is only available at the Union Square Trader Joe's in New York City. Dammit, New York! You get everything first, from Pizza Rat to Cronuts, while the rest of the world waits to catch up. Guess it's time to start saving up for a trip to the Big Apple — that or putting the heat on TJ's to stock up on Simpler Wines across the U.S.

Ja Rule Faces Massive Fyre Festival Lawsuit

If you are a person who uses the internet, you're probably aware of Fyre Festival, the music festival that promised to be a luxurious private-island getaway for influencers and rich kids on Instagram and turned out to be more like a real-life Lord of the Flies.

Festival-goers who dropped thousands on tickets and chartered flights to the island in the Bahamas arrived to find their "luxurious" accommodations were actually borrowed disaster relief tents, meals of white bread and processed cheese slices, no booze, no luggage and no flights back to the mainland.

Now, a couple of days past the complete shit show Fyre Fest turned out to be, it's looking like there could be serious repercussions for Ja Rule and others who organized and invested in the festival.

More: 10 Disney Princesses Get a Coachella Makeover

A $100 million class-action lawsuit has been filed naming Ja Rule, co-organizer Billy McFarland and Fyre Media, the production company behind the festival. The lawsuit claims that the conditions on the island were so bad, refunding guests ticket prices isn't enough — they should be compensated for the dangerous circumstances they were placed in.

"The festival's lack of adequate food, water, shelter, and medical care created a dangerous and panicked situation among attendees — suddenly finding themselves stranded on a remote island without basic provisions — that was closer to 'The Hunger Games' or 'Lord of the Flies' than Coachella," the filing reads.

And honestly, they have a point. Even though there's been a lot of internet ire directed at people who dropped tens of thousands of dollars on a music festival, they still deserved to be safe. What if there had been a medical emergency on the island? When compared to the chance of someone getting seriously injured or even killed, a lawsuit should be the least of Ja Rule's worries.
