Busy Philipps: Baby bumpin' at the SAG Awards

SheKnows Mommaloguer Busy Philipps walked the red carpet at the 2013 SAG Awards with her baby bump in full view. Now that's how you do pregnancy fashion!

Busy Philipps at the 2013 SAG Awards

Busy Philipps had a big predicament while getting dressed for the 2013 SAG Awards: Show off the baby belly, or hide it?

"It was hard to decide which way to go. Do you hide the bump, do you show it off?" the mommy-to-be told E! on the SAG Awards red carpet. "I went with show it off! I embraced it!"

And we're glad she did!

The SheKnows Mommaloguer showcased her growing belly in a blue Gabriela Cadena gown, complete with Irene Neuwirth earrings, Brian Atwood heels and a Judith Lieber clutch.

Her red carpet prep wasn't without a few dramatic moments, though.

"Just had my very 1st awards show drama! The beautiful necklace for the @SAGawards BROKE as I was trying it on! Will it get fixed in time?!"

Luckily, she did.

Busy is an old hat at pregnant red carpet looks, though. She was pregnant with her daughter, Birdie, during the SAG Awards five years ago. The problem? Someone else snagged her dress.

"I ended up getting an amazing dress," she told People, "and then much to my chagrin, five weeks later, pregnant Angelina Jolie wore it, which is devastating. Really? You want to be wearing the same dress as the sexiest woman alive? It’s terrible."

You're at the top of our list as sexiest, Busy!

Sanjay Gupta’s novel, Monday Mornings, debuts on TV

Monday Mornings, a novel by Sanjay Gupta — and now a new TV series on TNT — gives viewers an accurate, behind-the-scenes look at what really goes on in hospitals.

Cast of Monday Mornings on TNT

It's time to grab your scrubs and scalpel and head to TNT!

Sanjay Gupta's novel, Monday Mornings, is set to debut on the small screen. It is guaranteed to be an innovative medical drama unlike any other you may have seen. SheKnows talked to Gupta and director/producer Bill D'Elia on the set to find out what makes this show different from the rest.

"[The show] is quite different in one big respect," director and producer Bill D'Elia states, "and that is that the drama showcases the morbidity and mortality conferences that every hospital has... These meetings are the central part of this show."

A great deal goes on behind the scenes in hospitals that the general public is completely unaware of, including the notorious morbidity and mortality conferences. This is "where all the surgeons get together and analyze what happened on particular cases," D'Elia explains. The viewers of this new show will get to be privy to this hidden domain.

Sanjay Gupta, a practicing neurosurgeon and a multiple Emmy award–winning chief medical correspondent for CNN, is the brains behind this new series. Monday Mornings follows the lives of five surgeons at Chelsea General as they perfect their skills and face their personal and professional failings. All scenarios in this new series are based on Sanjay's own experience.

"I think we all write from our own experiences to some extent and there are certain characters, certain storylines, little things I have observed — I use these things as a basis," Sanjay reveals. He adds that "all the characters are amalgamations of people I have known both inside and out of medicine."

Ving Rhames on Monday Mornings

To further help viewers revisit his past experiences, Gupta makes sure that every inch of the hospital set, including the operating rooms, is as high-tech as imaginable.

"I do joke that the [operating room on set] is pretty advanced. If someone fell and bumped their head, we could probably take out a subdural if we had to. The microscope is a better microscope than some of the ones hospitals have," Gupta says.

D'Elia also mentions that he "takes great pride in how real the show feels and looks. I think a large part of it comes from [Gutpa's] influence."

Attention to detail is obviously essential when operating, but it is also vital to making a television show like this one as realistic as possible. And it's a reason this show is not for the faint of heart.

"These meetings can be brutal. Some would describe them to be a sort of street fight, slightly more dignified but only slightly," Gupta explains as he reminisces about his past experiences.

While Monday Mornings is an extremely accurate representation of Dr. Gupta's experiences, each character has quirks that every viewer will be naturally attracted to.

"There is less [quirkiness] but we can't get away from it. I think it's kind of what elevates and distinguishes. [The show] will always be about character. There is never just a doctor or a patient. We are all very distinct so we try to color our characters with distinctions, whatever they may be," D'Elia says.

Apart from the diverse personalities, many shocking and unexpected events occur throughout the first season of Monday Mornings.  If you are at all squeamish or a bit of a hypochondriac, you may want to watch this show with a friend. You have been warned!

There is no doubt that Monday Mornings will make you much more aware of what is going on "out of sight" in hospitals — and that's a very good thing!

Watch 2013 SAG Awards moments: Sofia Vergara calls herself a hooker

Watch 2013 SAG Awards highlights below — our favorite moment was Sofia Vergara equating her body type fit for prostitution. Yep, that happened.

Sofia Vergara at the 2013 SAG Awards.

The 2013 SAG Awards aired Sunday night from Los Angeles, California. While we were looking forward to the show, the SAG Awards were a yawn fest at best. From the awkward voice-over beginning to the super weird SAG Awards show intro — in which Sofia Vergara said she looked like a hooker — we were thoroughly disappointed with the show. Watch highlights from the 2013 SAG Awards below.

SAG Awards watch: Sofia Vergara calls herself a hooker?

The eye rolling began with one of several cringeworthy moments when the SAG Awards producers thought it would be a good idea to have several well-known actors stiffly recite lines about when they first joined the Screen Actors Guild. Perhaps a good idea in theory, the result was brief, odd speeches. Sofia Vergara even commented that her dad thought her decision to be an actress equated her to a hooker and Vergara responded that with her "big boobs" she already looked like a hooker. Watch Sofia Vergara at the 2013 SAG Awards at 3:16 in the above video.

SAG Awards watch: A sleepy tribute to Dick Van Dyke

We adore Dick Van Dyke and love that he was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2013 SAG Awards. Alec Baldwin did a great job narrating the iconic career of Dick Van Dyke but we admit, the whole thing felt boring. However, Dick Van Dyke turned it around when he walked on the SAG Awards stage and delivered a fantastic acceptance speech.

Editor's video pick: Amelia Lily "Shut Up (And Give Me Whatever You Got)" Acoustic

Prepare yourselves, your mind will be blown away by this performance.

Amelia Lily

Amelia who?

It's not just you: I myself was wondering who Amelia Lily was. All I knew was that she looks strangely like Amber Heard. But with a little digging I found out this feisty performer ranked third on Britain's X Factor, being beat out by winners Little Mix, as mentioned in her biography on Last.fm. She released the music video "Shut Up " and it was an upbeat, in-your-face video with a very aggressive spin.

Upgrading the original

Sometimes, it's better to eliminate the performing antics and focus on the strength of the lyrics and the vocals, don't you think? I usually go on some rant about Lady Gaga being more of a performer than an artist, but even then she has a good balance. I hate to say it but Amelia Lily could easily have been overlooked with her first video for this song, but this stripped version is epic.

This track is superior as an acoustic song, and her tough girl personality seeps through while you watch. It's a song I cannot get out of my head, and a performance I have spammed my friends with.

Her delivery is flawless, and possesses traits that you don't usually witness from an artist: the quickness of a rapper, the soulfulness of an R&B singer and the upbeat aura of a pop diva. I hope you keep an eye out for her, because this video certainly promises a bright future for this artist.

Legal ambition

Oh, and by the way, if you aren't charmed or impressed already, she's only 18 years old. After watching this, I found myself at a loss for words and grateful the music industry found a gem like her. Let's hope someone else starts directing her other music videos or that she just does acoustic ones!

Come on, watch!

Editor's video pick: Kat Graham "Wanna Say"

This gem from the CW network has found her way to transition into music, and in her latest music video proves she has some serious staying power.

Kat GrahamBonnie, is that you?

In the same way I'm sure Taylor Momsen refuses to be typecast by Gossip Girl, Kat Graham, who plays Bonnie on The Vampire Diaries , has her frustrations.

Instead of overdoing it with a polar opposite persona from her character, she seemingly embraces her fame and just provides a sexier appearance.

Her character on the show is fearless and wise, and if it's anything like her true identity, it sure has found its way to creep into her music.

She's spunky and wild, but tame enough to be classy. And this video only confirms any question of how hot she is, both physically and musically.

Who needs a gym when you can dance like that?

This music video testifies how talented this young woman is as a dancer, too. She and her set of dancers dazzle the screen in a way I found both impressive and bewitching. Ironic that she plays a witch on the show too, huh?

I couldn't pinpoint any comparable artist, but the feel of the video was that of a Nicole Scherzinger or perhaps a Cheryl Cole number: sexy, seductive and sheer femininity. If her dancing both surprises and intimidates you , it's because she actually does it professionally in addition to her acting/music career.

It's a different perspective into the world of Bonnie, who on-screen is in the background while other stars take the reins. We get to see her at the forefront in her music video, no longer portraying the profound, direct and responsible Bonnie Bennett, but the confident, extra-sassy and sexy Kat Graham.

Watch and let us know what you think!

Norah Jones added to Oscars musical lineup

On Sunday, Norah Jones was added to the 85th Annual Academy Awards lineup to perform the Oscar-nominated song "Everybody Needs a Best Friend" from the movie Ted.

NorahJonesOscarsThe 85th Annual Academy Awards show is proving to be a powerhouse of musical performances this year. Last year, the executive producers, Brian Grazer and Don Mischer, chose not to have any of the Best Original Song nominees onstage. This year's executive producers, Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, are making the show one big musical fiesta from start to finish.

On Sunday, The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced that Norah Jones would be joining the star-studded night to perform the Oscar-nominated song "Everybody Needs a Best Friend" from the movie Ted. The song was written by Oscar host Seth MacFarlane, with music by Walter Murphy.

In a statement, Jones said, "I had such a great time recording this song with Seth, and was thrilled to find out that it was nominated for an Oscar. Getting to perform it at such a prestigious event, which my friend is hosting, is a once in a lifetime opportunity."

The Grammy Award winner joins the musical slate that includes Adele singing "Skyfall" and a musical tribute to Dreamgirls, Chicago and Les Misérables. The performers involved in the movie musical number have yet to be announced.

Either way, it's unusual to have the Oscar host also double as a nominee. The producers said in a statement, "We are happy to have Norah Jones perform Seth's and Walter Murphy's nominated song on our Oscar telecast. We are big admirers of Norah's singing and she will help celebrate the unique circumstance of having an Oscar host who is also nominated for Best Original Song."

Jones is best known for her debut album Come Away With Me, which was released in 2002 and sold over 10 million copies. The critically acclaimed record also earned her five Grammy Awards that year.

The 85th Annual Academy Awards will be televised live from Hollywood on Feb. 24.

Hansel and Gretel leave popcorn trail to No. 1 at the box office

This reinvention of the classic Grimm fairy tale was anything but grim at the box office this weekend, but how did the other newcomers fare? Let’s just say there’s no gingerbread house for Parker or Movie 43.
Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters

Box
office
Top 10

Find out what topped the charts this weekend!

1

Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters

Earning $19 million, Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters opened at the top, despite its unusual take on the famous brother and sister duo. Portrayed as adults, Hansel and Gretel are armed with guns and travel from village to village taking down witches. Due to his childhood trauma of being fattened up by the evil witch in the candy house, Hansel now suffers from "the sugar sickness" and must give himself daily injections. Who knew diabetes would make its way into a fairy tale?

2

Mama

Horror movie Mama floated from No. 1 last week down to a not-so-scary No. 2, still earning almost $13 million over the weekend. Jessica Chastain's next project is The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby: Hers, which, according to the IMDb, is about "a New York couple's relationship as told by the wife." Anybody know a good divorce attorney?

3

Silver Linings Playbook

At No. 3 this week is Silver Linings Playbook, starring Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper as a couple struggling to cope with the challenges of mental illness and depression. Earning $10 million this weekend, however, should boost anyone’s spirits.

4

Zero Dark Thirty

The manhunt mission Zero Dark Thirty went from second to fourth place this weekend while still earning a stealthy $9.8 million. Audiences don't seem to find this drama torturous at all, despite its many scenes depicting torture.

5

Parker

Parker, starring Jason Statham and Jennifer Lopez, missed its target by opening in fifth place, stealing a mere $7 million from audiences. This action flick centers on a jewel heist, proving that diamonds aren't necessarily forever.

6

Django Unchained

Shocking, bloody and funny, Django Unchained moved up in rank this week from No. 7 to No. 6. Seems word of mouth is helping Quentin Tarantino's movie about a bad*ss slave stay relevant.

7

Movie 43

Opening at No. 7 is the massively raunchy, potty-humored Movie 43, which offers at least 43 ways to get sick to your stomach. Despite an all-star cast that includes Kate Winslet and Halle Berry, many critics are branding this crude-com as the worst film of 2013. You can check it out at a urinal near you.

8

Gangster Squad

Film noir Gangster Squad moved from No. 4 to No. 8 this weekend, racketeering $4.2 million. Despite the heated debate about guns and violence, audiences sure like their movies with big body counts.

9

Broken City

At No. 9 is Catherine Zeta-Jones' Broken City, about a crooked cop and a malevolent mayor . This crime story embezzled $4 million from audiences over the weekend.

10

Les Misérables

The musical about the wretched ones, Les Misérables, is waving the French flag from position dix, earning $3.9 million this weekend and delighting Francophiles and audiophiles alike.

Longtime Playboy Mansion secretary Mary O'Connor died Sunday; she was in her 80s. O'Connor worked for Hugh Hefner for more than 40 years.

Hugh Hefner mourns Mary O'Connor's death.

Mary O'Connor died Sunday; she was in her 80s. Mary O'Connor was Hugh Hefner's longtime personal secretary and made many appearances on the reality show The Girls Next Door from 2005 to 2009. Hefner tweeted about the sad loss on Sunday night. "Mary passed away today. We loved her more than words can say."

Check out this super-hot celeb's new Playboy cover>>

The Huffington Post reports Hugh Hefner and many of the Playboy Mansion staff are taking the death of Mary O'Connor extremely hard. TMZ sources report O'Connor was "the rock" of the Playboy Mansion and that the entire house is "incredibly sad." Hugh Hefner and Mary O'Connor worked together for over 40 years.

Many say it was Mary who encouraged Crystal Harris to write to then ex-fiancé Hugh Hefner after she bolted on their nuptials just days before the wedding. The Huffington Post found a tweet from Hefner from June 2012 in which he wrote, "It's Mary O'Connor that brought Crystal Harris back. Crystal was miserable & said so. Mary told Crystal to write & tell me, which she did."

A very McCain Playboy interview>>

Throughout the holidays, Hefner appeared to tweet less than usual and explained just a few days ago that the reason for his absence was related to Mary O'Connor's ailing health. Hugh tweeted, "Crystal is going to visit Mary O'Conner [sic], who is not doing very well. Mary has our prayers. We all love her." No further details were released on O'Connor's death.

Kristin Cavallari’s Valentine’s plans, still no wedding date

Kristin Cavallari chats with SheKnows about her first Valentine’s Day as a mom and why she likes her man clean-shaven at the Gillette Kiss & Tell event in Chicago.

Kristin Cavallari at Kiss & Tell

Kristin Cavallari has been keeping a low profile since giving birth to son Camden Jack with her fiancé Jay Cutler in August.

But the former reality star took to the streets of Chicago today to watch couples take a very important smooch test at Gillette’s Kiss & Tell event.

“We’re having couples come out and kiss, then shave, then kiss again to see if they prefer clean-shaven or stubble,” Kristin told SheKnows. “It’s pretty funny to see all these couples. My guess is they’ll pick a clean-shaven face. I don’t prefer looking at stubble.”

Kristin Cavallari and baby Camden Jack

The results of the test will be announced on Valentine’s Day. So what will K-Cav and her man be doing that day ?

“We’re probably going to do something very low-key,” she told us. “I’ll probably cook dinner at home. It will be romantic and sweet and just easy. Being new parents, traveling or going out anywhere just doesn’t appeal to us right now.”

Kristin says she and Jay are homebodies and for now, they’re just enjoying watching their son Camden Jack grow.

“He just got his first tooth,” said Kristin. “We started feeding him last week, which has been a ton of fun. We’ve given him peas, carrots and avocados. He loves avocados.”

As for Valentine’s Day gifts, Kristin says that Jay has been a big help with Cam and that the best gift he gives her is his appreciation.

“He is really great about appreciating everything I do around the house and with Cam,” she told SheKnows. “He’s just a really sweet, genuine guy.”

But that doesn’t mean she doesn’t still get some material things! Kristin told us that one year she scored a Cartier Love Bracelet from Cutler.

“I absolutely love it and I wear all the time,” said Kristin.

Speaking of love, the couple — engaged for over a year — is still on the fence about wedding plans.

“We talk about it, but we’ll see what happens,” said Kristin.

Maybe they’re waiting for Cam to get big enough to fit in a ring bearer's suit?

Kris Jenner to launch her own talk show

Get ready for even more Kardashians in 2013! Kris Jenner will be launching her own talk show this summer.

KrisJennertalkshow

The Kardashian domination in the media continues in 2013, not only with Kim Kardashian's pregnancy, but also with Kris Jenner's new talk show coming this summer. The news was announced on Monday by Fox Television Stations and Twentieth Television.

The format will be a one-hour, daily entertainment talk show filmed in Los Angeles. The show will simply be titled Kris and it will debut in select markets, including New York and Los Angeles on Fox-owned stations.

The 57-year-old will not only interview celebrity guests, but viewers can expect everything from fashion, beauty and pop culture.

In an official statement, Fox executive Stephen Brown said, "[Jenner is] a dedicated mom and a successful business woman. Whether offering real advice to her family or sharing personal moments with viewers, Kris is honest, compelling, entertaining, and unscripted — all excellent qualities for a daytime talk show host."

The business mogul has done a great job of managing her children's careers and she has turned them all into multi-millionaires who are a part of the daily tabloid press. Now, Jenner is turning the spotlight on herself.

In the statement, she shared, "This is something I have wanted to do all my life so it's definitely a dream come true! I can't wait for this new adventure to begin."

It's interesting to note that Fox is utilizing the same test markets and a similar strategy that it did with Bethenny Frankel's talk show last summer. Bethenny will get a full national rollout this fall and will compete with other daytime talk shows like Katie, Dr. Phil, The Dr. Oz Show and Steve Harvey.

Tina Fey hints at Mean Girls musical with Mariah Carey

Tina Fey sparks Mean Girls musical rumors, says Paramount is onboard to bring Mean Girls to Broadway.

Tina Fey wins at the 2013 SAG Awards.

Tina Fey did her best to liven up the 2013 SAG Awards on Sunday night — notably, Mean Girls fans perked up when Fey told E! News a Mean Girls musical is in the works. Tina Fey wrote the original screenplay for the 2004 hitwhich starred then-Hollywood darling Lindsay Lohan.

How to deal with real-life mean girls>>

Fey told Giuliana Rancic on the SAG Awards red carpet that she hopes to see a Mean Girls musical come to life. "I'm trying to develop it with my husband, who does all the music for 30 Rock and I think Paramount is onboard." While there is no word yet on potential cast members — Lindsay Lohan likely won't be asked back for the stage adaption — Fey did mention that one particular Mean Girls fan could be a part of the musical: Mariah Carey.

During a recent American Idol episode, Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj were arguing over Mean Girls and the names of the characters. Mariah expertly explained to Minaj that the main villain was Regina George. Fey told E! News she was aware of the argument between Carey and Minaj and she thinks Mariah is suited to play Regina George's mother, played by Amy Poehler in the 2004 film. "Maybe she can play Amy Poehler's part in the musical."

While we love the idea of Mariah Carey on the Broadway stage for a Mean Girls adaption, we're not sure about Carey's acting chops — we still have Glitter memories haunting us. What do you think of a Mean Girls musical?

Chris Brown vs. Frank Ocean: Who'll be the bigger troublemaker in 2013?

0
0
We know what you are thinking… when it comes to trouble, Chris Brown KOs any competition.

Chris Brown Performing in Amsterdam

But his scuffle with Frank Ocean this weekend over a parking spot marks the latter’s second bad behavior blip in a short span. Is Ocean poised to take Breezy’s top troublemaker title?

Brown's past: Proof sleazy Breezy will stay on top?

After this weekend’s parking lot scuffle, Frank Ocean stuck around to give the PoPo the down-low while Chris Brown fled as fast as his moonwalkin’ feet could carry him. And, well, it’s no wonder Brown would want to avoid the boys in blue. Since his infamous altercation with then-girlfriend Rihanna after the Grammys in 2009, Brown has been in and out of the headlines. In 2011, he diva-ed his way through an interview on Good Morning America before retiring to his dressing room to do super adult things like take off his shirt, swear and throw chairs. Not to be outdone in 2012, he brawled with Drake in a bar, tested positive for pot during community service, got a neck tattoo that may or may not depict Rihanna’s battered face, dressed as a terrorist for Halloween and went on a misogynistic Twitter tirade against comedy writer Jenny Johnson. Oh yeah, he also threw around some homophobic remarks — one in particular aimed at Ocean himself.

Frank Ocean Performing on Saturday Night LiveOcean's past: The perfect storm?

Let’s be honest. Anyone’s past would pale in comparison when stacked next to Chris Brown’s. However, the truth is Frank Ocean is no stranger to shady behavior. After the release of his single "American Wedding" in 2010, Ocean came under fire for "reappropriating" The Eagles’ classic hit "Hotel California". He added fuel to the fire by accusing Don Henley of being threatened by him, to which Henley’s legal rep responded by straight up calling Ocean out on illegally using the entire track and melody. He once again found himself wading in muddy legal waters in 2011 when it surfaced that he originally wrote "Thinkin Bout You" for Bridget Kelly’s debut album. Even though Kelly changed the name to "Thinking About Forever", there was no hiding that the same song ended up on the albums of both artists. Most recently, though, Ocean got caught in Mono County, California for speeding… and driving with a suspended license… and having too-tinted windows. And, oh yeah, traveling with a bag of weed.

THE VERDICT

On paper, Chris Brown definitely has the edge over Frank Ocean. His shenanigans this past year have been so outrageous that he has managed to make Charlie Sheen's drop off the deep-end seem like a distant memory. Could it be possible, then, that he has peaked? After all, none of us saw Sheen making a comeback and now he’s back at the helm of a hit show. Ocean, on the other hand, might just be hitting his stride — these back-to-back blips could be the beginning of a bad boy free-fall. There’s not much that Brown hasn’t done these days… but Ocean has plenty of transgressions left to try out. Even if Ocean turns out to be the star of more scandals this year though, we’re pretty positive Chris Brown will continue to retain his title as one of Hollywood’s biggest d-bags. Plus, for the record, our money for the biggest celebrity troublemaker of 2013 is on Justin Bieber. Just sayin’.

Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift and Diet Coke are going public with their years-long romance. While the singer's string of famous ex-boyfriends has become the stuff of entertainment gossip, one diet soft drink has apparently been by her side all along.

Announcing she and and Diet Coke are never, ever breaking up, Taylor Swift posted the video below on YouTube on Monday.

"I wanted to share some news with you because we're actually making it official with one of the great loves of my life... Diet Coke," the Red singer, seen here wearing just that on Monday in Paris, began.

"We've been in conversations about this partnership that's gonna include so many fun things having to do with the tour, having to do with Diet Coke in general, behind the scenes of the commercial shoot."

While Taylor Swift's Diet Coke message was short and sweet, a company spokesperson had this to say about their brand's new hook-up:

"Taylor's unmatched business savvy, talent and drive to succeed are an inspiration to everyone. She's an extraordinary individual and a wonderful symbol of achievement. Taylor tells us that every day Diet Coke plays a small part in helping her stay extraordinary. It's one of the many reasons she's the ideal partner to represent our brand."

No word on how long Taylor Swift and Diet Coke are set to make beautiful endorsements together, though Coca-Cola did say she'll be featured in the brand's television, print and digital advertising beginning this spring.

Could there be more to the story for the ex-girlfriend of Harry Styles, however? One YouTube commenter noted, "Taylor's biggest revenge !!! One direction advertises Pepsi so she advertises coke lol."

Do you think teaming up with Taylor Swift was a wise move by Diet Coke?

January Jones: "My hair is falling out in clumps"

Mad Men star January Jones admits that too much hair dye is causing her hair to fall out "in clumps".

JanuaryJoneslosinghairJanuary Jones made a huge red carpet statement at the SAG Awards on Sunday night in her Prabal Gurung dress. However, it seems that Jones' hair is making an even bigger statement by falling out.

In an exclusive interview with UK magazine, Grazia Daily, at the Sundance Film Festival, the Mad Men star talked about coloring her hair so often that it is now damaged.

She told the magazine, "I have been every colour and now my hair is falling out in clumps. I’ve been blonde, red with extensions for this film, then blonde, then black, and now blonde again. I’m going to have to shave it off and wear a wig."

On Sunday, her hair was blonde and styled in a swept up, avant-garde faux-hawk that complemented her modern black and white gown. Fortunately, the photographs didn't pick up any hair loss on the stunning actress.

Jones has been in the midst of filming season six of the AMC drama where her character, Betty Draper-Francis, is known for her blonde locks. What does Jones prefer though?

She said in the interview, "I like it all colors, it makes you feel different according to what color it is, but I prefer to be blonde. My son recognizes me in photos when I am blonde, he says 'mama.'"

It will be interesting to see what she does next with her hair once the season finishes shooting. Jones doesn't hire a stylist for her red carpet events, so you never know what look she will come up with next.

Anne Hathaway is soon to find herself unemployed. What does a beautiful newlywed do with time on her hands? One key word she chose hints it might be time to work on those plans to start a family!

Anne Hathaway

Anne Hathaway has found herself with an unexpected, much appreciated break coming up after the 2013 Oscar statues are handed out on Sunday, Feb. 24.

"I had a film lined up that we've taken a breath on," the SAG Award winner for her role as Fantine in Les Miserables told Access Hollywood on Sunday. "I'm unemployed," she added with a laugh.

"It's such a funny experience to sort of be here and be in some ways at the pinnacle of what you can achieve as an actor, but also know that you don't have a job. But that is the life of an actor," she went on to say.

Celeb hairstyle of the week: Anne Hathaway>>

What will the 30-year-old, who wed Adam Shulman in late September do with her time off? Aside from what newlyweds are often known to do, she shared, "I'll be hosting lots of dinners at my house."

Very lightly hinting that her dreams of becoming a mother may now be on the short to-do list, Anne Hathaway added "We're nesting and playing with the dog... We're chilling. It's good."

Les Miserables review: And the Oscar goes to...>>

"Nesting!" Now, before you go thinking we're blowing one word out of proportion, please recall this particular woman's goal for 2013.

"I've had one goal in mind for the past 12 years, which is: get a movie, get a movie, get a movie," Anne Hathaway explained to The Telegraph in the closing hours of last year. "Now I might have to say: get a baby, get a baby, get a baby."

Enjoy that "nesting" time, Anne Hathaway. You've earned it!

Queen Beatrix abdicates: Will Queen Elizabeth follow?

0
0
Dutch Queen Beatrix has announced she will abdicate the throne in favor of her eldest son, setting a precedent that some wonder if Great Britain's Queen Elizabeth will follow.

Queen Beatrix

Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands has announced she will abdicate her throne to eldest son Prince Willem-Alexander so the nation can benefit from "the hands of a new generation."

After 33 years, the Queen will hand over power to the Prince of Orange on April 30, 2013.

"He and Princess Maxima are fully prepared for their future roles," Beatrix said in a short televised speech delivered from her Huis ten Bosch palace. "They will serve our nation with dedication, faithfully preserve the constitution and bring all their talents to the monarchy."

Will Prince Charles finally be king?>>

"I am not abdicating because this office is too much of a burden, but out of conviction that the responsibility for our nation should now rest in the hands of a new generation," she said. "I am deeply grateful for the great faith you have shown in me in the many years that I could be your Queen."

The Dutch do not consider heading the monarchy to be a lifetime role; both Beatrix's mother, Queen Julianna, and Grandmother, Queen Wilhelmina, abdicated as well.

But don't expect the 75-year-old Queen Beatrix's decision to influence her fellow royal Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain in any way. The 86-year-old monarch, who just celebrated her Diamond Jubilee, has been on the throne for 60 years and counting with no sign of giving it up to the next in line, Prince Charles.

Now 64, many wonder if Charles will ever wear the crown or if he will choose to hand it over to Prince William. It seems clear that his mum has no intention of giving up before her death. In fact, the only British abdication in remotely recent history was that of Edward VIII, Elizabeth's uncle who gave it all up to marry divorce American socialite Wallis Simpson.

Sorry, Charlie. You'll have to wait your turn.

One week until Rules of Engagement returns!

Friends, lovers and comedy fanatics! Only one week until the return of Rules of Engagement.

Rules of Engagement premiers Feb. 4

CBS has kept Rules of Engagement fans waiting so, so long for the return of their favorite comedy, but in less than a week we'll finally be reunited with Jeff, Audrey, Russell and the gang in what is sure to be an hysterical episode.

Look at this clip!

In the return of Rules of Engagement for its seventh season, we find Audrey's creepy friend Liz has moved in with Audrey and Jeff . Why is she there? Did she bring her cat? Knowing Liz, the circumstances of her situation will be both circumspect and also ridiculous. How poor Jeff got roped into dealing with her will be fun to find out. This time, though, her visit works in Jeff's favor — she continues to take his side in every spat he has with Audrey. How will that end?

Rules of Engagement premiers Feb. 4

Meanwhile, Adam and Timmy have paired up together for the company's Ping-Pong tournament. One by one the nerd and the super hot idiot will take down their interoffice opponents. Will Timmy's cutting wit get the best of Adam... or will Adam's moments of oblivion become too much for Timmy to handle?

I, for one, am excited to find out the answer to all those questions. I'm also curious as to what Jen and Russell are up to these days. Most importantly, has Jeff and Audrey's surrogate, Brenda , had the baby yet? And, just how will Jeff handle fatherhood? Something tells us with just a little bit of cuteness and a whole bunch of baritoned sarcasm.

Are you stoked for the new season of Rules of Engagement? What are you most looking forward to happening on season 7? Also, am I the only girl who is completely in love with Patrick Warburton?

Season 7 premieres on Feb. 4 at 8:30/7:30c on CBS. Enjoy!
